I'm procrastinating so hard (and still coughing my lungs out) that I not only procrastinate on the things I have to do but also on the things I planned to draw, sooooo... another trans!Hinata piece 👉👈 Poor guy feels a bit insecure first.

probably the voice of your Sun and Moon hairdresser AU is exactly like that of the original daycare attendant sun and moon.

but what about Clip? it's a thin and lovely voice?, or calm and gentle like in the original Eclipse?

Or Is the voice different?

good question! and a tricky one, because i don't have any exact references to pull from and i don't know how much will translate, but i will try to explain the best i can

First: in the hairdresser AU, Sun and Moon actually sound a little different from canon! It's been a long time since their time at their PizzaPlex and they've undergone a lot of change, and that shows in their voices. So they used to sound like their canon voices, but they've changed over time.

Sun's voice is gentler than his canonical voice and it doesn't fluctuate as much (switching from excitable, to sarcastic, to threatening). Overtime, Sun has learned to keep his tone even and approachable. The best way to describe Sun is that he is even-tempered and calm. He rarely gets over-emotional, but Moon and Clip have a way of getting to him, since they know each other the closest. He only ever slips into his old voice and vocal habits (like repeating words) around Moon and Clip, usually in the form of sarcasm to balance their silliness (like his comments in this post). i like to describe Sun's voice as his customer-service voice, light and cheery enough to be appropriate for the situation.

Moon's voice is still a little raspy, but unlike his canon voice, it's less guttural and his pitch doesn't fluctuate as much. He also speaks in full sentences haha. The notable thing about Moon's voice is that it lacks the playful gremlin quality we all love about canon Moon. His tone isn't as playful and he doesn't giggle as much as he used to. Perhaps he'll have a short friendly chuckle when talking to a customer, but it's not gremlin level laughter. i think the closest voice reference i can think of is Corey Wilder's voice dub for Moon. still a little raspy without being too guttural, and more eloquent and charming in his delivery. Overall his tone is kinda dry, but when he begins to open up (like in this post), his voice takes a softer tone, closer to canon.

and finally Clip! In a way, his voice is probably the closest to canon Sun and Moon's. His voice fluctuates a lot jumping around from canon Sun's lofty theatrics to canon Moon's menacing glee. He's dramatic, he's silly, he cackles, he giggles, he rambles, he growls, he makes animal noises, he's all over the place! And there is no rhyme or reason to it, it's just fun for Clip. No matter the time of day, Clip is here to play play play! However, there are rare moments when his voice sounds like canon Eclipse from the Ruin DLC. It's that sweet and gentle tone, but there is a staticky quality in his voice, crackling like someone who hasn't spoken in a while.

less leaning, more cleaning

darby needs help cleaning the bathroom after a party. gn reader <3

(hey, i opened requests! you can see my guidelines here ! you can request more darby or someone else! please! im running out of ideas!)

one thing about darby, is that he’s very stubborn. especially when it comes to asking for help. so when you fell asleep on the couch before all the post-party cleaning was done, he took it upon himself to finish without disturbing you. except, there was one slight problem:

the bathroom.

he had basic vacuuming, sweeping, and Clorox-wiping skills, but the bathroom? clueless. too many different products that all seemed to do the same thing, too many tools that also seemed to do the same thing. but, how hard could it really be? he’d just, read the directions on the bottles.

all was going smooth at first. he cleaned the sink and counter-top with no problem, the tub and shower combo your little apartment had was a bit challenging, but he got it. even if it was starting too smell a bit too chemically in there already.

but the toilet.

oh no.

first, he tried to unclog the toilet, the um... stuff left in the toilet was courtesy of the party guests. and it worked! until the unwanted residue decided it wanted to stay a bit longer. oh god, if you saw the way it looked you would freak! you make a point of keeping your bathroom clean! he’s seen your entire house look like a tornado ran through it, but the bathroom? not a dirt speck in sight. darby knew he had to do this.

he needed to make sure this bathroom was sparkling. so, after trying to figure out how toilet bowl cleaner worked, he poured the entire bottle into the toilet. unsure if that would be enough, he got your dish soap from the kitchen and threw in only a little bit.

half the bottle of the soap you bought yesterday a little bit.

and then, he saw it. the powdered bleach.

it’s just bleach, right? it’d help get the stains out. maybe some of the hard water stains too. what’s the worst that could happen? he’d seen some of those cleaning tiktoks you’d been watching. if it worked for them it would work for him, right?

he poured some into his concoction. and before he could even reach for the toilet brush, darby found himself coughing. his eyes were stinging. his throat was suddenly sore. he couldn’t breathe. all the chemicals mixed together in the toilet on top of the pre-existing fumes caused him to run out of the bathroom.

that’s when you woke up.

the scent hit your nose, too. but what you were most worried about, was your boyfriend seemingly about to cough to death. he was bent over in the kitchen, and you got up to go see what was wrong.

“what’s going on?” you said, still a bit sleepy. you ran a hand up his back, and he turned to face you.

“i was uh, trying to clean the bathroom,” he said.

“and?” you said worriedly.

“i mixed all the products together in the toilet,” he responded.

you let out a big laugh.

“is that really what’s wrong?” you asked, laughing in between words.

he rolled his eyes.

“it’s not that funny,” darby said quietly.

“oh,” you stopped laughing. “how about you open that window and i’ll take care of the bathroom,” you added.

“you’re not mad?” he asked.

“why would i be mad? i’ve done it before, and you were only trying to help,” you assured.

you cupped his cheeks and kissed him sweetly.

“now hurry up! less leaning and more cleaning, darby!”

he laughed and opened the window as you prepared to face the mustard gas inside the bathroom.
