And if you missed a day, there was always the next,
and if you missed a year, it didn’t matter,
the hills weren’t going anywhere,
the thyme and rosemary kept coming back,
the sun kept rising, the bushes kept bearing fruit—
– Sunrise, by Louise Glück

November shall forever remind me that I'm the poet, not the poem. That I'm the artist, not the art. That I'm the singer, not the song. I'm the photograph, not the muse, and I will never be. -Soulwriter

I want to drown. Not in the ocean but in the poems written by you. Not in the lake but in the bed beside you. Not in the sea but in your eyes, don't care if they are even blue. Not in the river but in your voice. And like that I want to drown all of me in all of you. Drowning in you does not makes me dead it makes me alive.

“i love you without regrets and without reservations, with a great clear impulse that fills me up completely. i love you as i feel myself living, at times, on the summits of the world, and i wait for you with an obstinacy as long as ten lives, a tenderness that will not be exhausted, the great and luminous desire that i have for you, the terrible thirst that i have for your heart. i embrace you, i hold you against me.”

Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light; I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

If ya'll are going to ship Elder Faerie and Shadow Milk, hear me out. I expect to see at least ONE fanfic based on the poem 'The Spider and the Fly'.
Think about it.

ever had a scene in a film which made tears roll down your cheeks without you even realising? have some lyrics of a specific song give you the feeling of deja vu and nostalgia? ever had a poem which gave you an epiphany? ever had a book which felt ike home?
ever had those unexplainable but very intense rush of emotions whenever a piece of media or art speaks directly to your soul, heart and mind?
what are they supposed to mean?

If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself, tell yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches.

Behold
Behold.
Witness.
I am death itself.
Behold.
Witness.
I am life as well.

I couldn’t get these lines from a poem out of my head while listening to the part about the baby mice in the basket. It’s by Warsan Shire, and goes:
“you have to understand,
that no one puts their children in a boat
unless the water is safer than the land”
It’s a great poem, go read it, and it makes me think a lot about this book in particular.

december
And as December descends, I sense the nearness of closure. I perceive the submersion of a love I once held so assuredly. The winter unfolds its cold, unyielding grasp, encapsulating my heart in its icy embrace. If only I could touch your warm hand once more, I would understand that it was all worth it

“i'm waiting for you, i'm waiting for the evening calm, i'm waiting for our time, the oblique light, this pause between day and night. peace will come, surely. but i can imagine no other peace than that of our two bodies bound together, of our gaze given over to each other - i have no other homeland but you.”
