Presenting all the artists I have worked with on my author journey thus far. 🏳️‍🌈📚🎨

Because I'm Team Human, and always will be.

Lianne Peterson, fantasyspritestudio on Instagram, is also a crochet artist, which is how I first met her. Back in the day, I made crochet toys and sculptures, and she still does. One thing led to another, and after she read my first book, we collaborated on the Iverbourne Tarot project, which expanded to include other indie artists.

Then we did the special editions together, which includes the tarot art as full page illustrations, and the scene with Lythienne threatening her boytoy—Panrauth, I mean. Also, that fan art of Novak still makes my heart sing. The plant guy is Lysander from the Levena books, and also fan art that I treasure.

@gagakumadraws has done so much work for me, this isn't even all of it. She is an absolute gem of a person and artist, and I'm so thankful to be able to call her my friend. There are the five Iverbourne cards, The Rebel Foxes cover, and so much Arlo and Thatch, from Phantom and Rook. There's the inside of the bookstore, and side characters like Silas (silver hair boi) and Arche.

Art not pictured are beautiful spice scenes, the outside of the bookstore, and a pirate play scene from Phantom and Rook. Oh, and a certain enby wolf shifter all tied up in knots.

@prince-peachie did some character art for me, depicting Novak as he first meet him and when the demon comes out to play. I first fell in love with Peachie's AFTG fan art, and I love everything he does!

The bottom left is Novak and Alvis on the ship, brought to life by @kislurysuje around the time Prince of Sylvan came out. It was one of my first printed pieces of gay art, and I love it so much.

The Moon is Eros from the Iverbourne series, and her card was created by @sholdthebus who I found on Tiktok. She does some amazing work, and has a Pride Armory! Think pride themed pins, like bisexual battle axes.

I love these covers so dearly. The colors, the emotion and detail. Bear did Phantom and Rook, and Fox did Matsdotter and Adrastus. I love that the colors of the sequel echo the first book, and while each artist has their own style, the books look like they belong together. They are both fantastic people, and beautiful artists.

So yeah, fuck AI, and scream about your favorite artists. 🤘✨

Surprise Shoutout for Changeling

You may or may not know that I enjoy playing computer games in my spare time, but when I don't have time to get into a game myself I also enjoy watching 'Let's Play's' on youtube.

I've been following a channel called Overdrive Theatre for a while now. The channel is run by Neil, a youtuber based in the South of England, which was one of the reasons I first followed the channel as finding UK youtubers can be quite difficult, but I continued following the channel because they play some fantastic games, over long series of videos.

If you enjoy 'Let's Play's' then Overdrive Theatre produces some very worthwhile content. But I'm sure you're wondering why I'm mentioning them now.

Taking me completely by surprise, Neil has given a shoutout to Changeling in his most recent Driving Vlog video! I'm very surprised, and even more grateful, so if you'd like to take a look at what he's said about Changeling, head on over and check out this video.

I want to take a moment to thank my supporters and a shout out to @kevins-roguish-charm who even complimented my first webcomic saying it should have been a cartoon.

My aim someday is not just to remaster Jekyll & Hyde. I want to make all of my comics cartoons someday and hearing that you guys say makes my day, but... I can’t get there alone.

I need support through my Patreon or my Ko-fi. I also have a store well I sell commissions, mugs, bookmarks and more. All of the savings go towards putting my work in print.

And if you can’t buy or donate, share my updates when they come up because no one will discover a person they don’t know. And don’t just do this for me. Do this for all independent creators who have potential. Don’t just let them come and go. If you really want to see better cartoons and better comics, indies like me and my friends would love to do it... but you need to be more vocal and bolder about it. Complaining about DC and Marvel does not draw attention to us. Spreading the word and showing the product you purchase from us does.

It’s all in your hands. You could spread the word about how bad the big dogs are. Or you can spread the word about how great the indie fish is.

PS: Support for indies DOES get them discovered. Nimona was a webcomic and now, it’s being adapted into a movie. Justin Bieber used to post his songs on YouTube and constant liking and sharing got his scouted. And the horror webtoon Sweet Home is now a TV series.

My local queer bookstore is being threatened with eviction over their free narcan and fentanyl test strips, free store for the unhoused, and free narcan trainings.

Bluestockings is an incredible worker-owned community space that has been apart of the Lower East Side for 25 years. But in the last couple years, they've faced increasing harassment from the wealthier neighbors moving in and complaining about the presence of unhoused people around their store front. Despite all their community work being allowed by their lease, the landlord is pushing for an eviction.

Please help support Bluestockings! Visit them (if you're local), order books online, donate! We need more queer and community-oriented spaces, not another overpriced coffee shop or chain franchise.

In the effort to be as transparent as possible with animation fun stuff, here's a pie chart breakdown for the costs for Ep 3 of Monkey Wrench. (which is out VERY SOON)

I'm able to do all the storyboards, designs and backgrounds and a majority of the animation myself (because I'm insane), if I were unable to do so then costs could EASILY burst past $100K+

The sad reality of the situation is;

Money = Thing getting made.

No money = Thing not getting made.

So please, if you're able, support indie projects if you want to see new interesting stories come to life.

ARCs of Matsdotter and Adrastus have been sent out! Thank you to everyone for their support and appreciation, there's no way this would be finished without all of you. I'm ordering a paperback proof tomorrow, which leads me to the next bit of exciting news.

Pre-orders are opening! So far you can preorder the ebook on Amazon, it's being processed through other retailers now and will be available in the next few days. You can find them all on Books2Read.

I've also opened pre-orders for signed paperbacks on my website, and I'm having some special swag made for the preorder boxes in the form of cute chibis!

More on that soon, for now, I'm going to sleep for a week.
