I haven't finished reading it though, but I really really love it so far, I'm so excited to get to the next parts but also kinda hesistant 'cause that means I'll have nothing to obssess over for a while afterwards 😭 Also, quick question : this is probably gonna sound stupid but the reader is female right ? I mean there are words like "bra" and "her" and the fanart depicts a girl and I think there was this line that said that it's hard for y/n to hide the scars on her back inside the girls locker room (or maybe i'm getting this part mixed up with another fic ??), and "loca" refers to a female in spanish but maybe it's gender neutral reader because the tags precisely say "x you" ? I'm asking this just to be sure because I plan on sending the link of your amazing series to a friend and they identify as nb so I just need to make sure. 😊

The story was initially started with a female presenting reader in mind but I transitioned to a more gender neutral description of the reader going forward to try and make the story more inclusive. So in the earlier parts you can see where I was writing the reader as female, with the examples you used. But at around part 12 someone left a comment that made me want to make the story more inclusive. So from that point on I’ve tried to leave the readers appearance and presentation up for interpretation.

I love messages like this because it shows me just what a wide fanbase this story has. When I finish it I plan on going back and editing a few things so that the entire story is told in a gender neutral lens. Thank you!! ❤️

there’s one thing that i find incredibly unrealistic about robin’s canon (and fanon tbh) characterization. you’re telling me this girl speaks three languages fluently (excluding pig latin) and she never ever slips into any of them?? the only line in another language we ever get from her is “flambé”??

like, i fluently speak one foreign language, can more or less communicate in another and am in the process of learning a third, and i call bullshit. as a person who constantly struggles to articulate a point in my native language without using english words or phrases (and literally all people i know that are fluent in foreign languages are the same way) i do NOT believe that robin doesn’t just sometimes bluescreen because there’s a phrase in one of the languages she knows that would perfectly express what she wants to say that just doesn’t have an equivalent in english, but she can’t use it because nobody will understand her. or that she never subconsciously literally translates a phrase from another language in english because it’s so natural to her at this point that she just forgets words don’t collocate in english like that or there’s no such saying in english and steve just blinks at her and goes “yeah, literally nobody says that”.

and she’s a RAMBLER. it’s canon that she can’t control what comes out of her mouth half the time and you’re telling me she doesn’t unknowingly sprinkle in words and expressions in literally THREE FOREIGN LANGUAGES SHE’S FLUENT IN when she gets nervous or goes on a rant???????

and her just casually messing up the prepositions she uses with verbs from the models she learnt in other languages and the others understanding her perfectly but sensing there’s something wrong with the way she speaks without being able to pinpoint exactly what it is would just be so funny to see.

and just imagine her teaching steve some fun words that they use constantly like their own little secret code. the POSSIBILITIES. the POTENTIAL. because one of the coolest things about learning foreign languages, especially with other people, is being able to casually throw around phrases and words nobody else understands.

For me it was Sabrina (the Harrison ford one) I’m surprised not enough like it. I was happy to see Ford as a tsundere character

the first one that popped into my head was wing chun (1994) which stars michelle yeoh and donnie yen. just a really cute and quirky wuxia romcom, with the bonus of being very gender and yeoh's character being a crossdressing bi icon

it's also not a 90s movie, but stranger than fiction (2006) starring will ferrell gets a mention because it is my ULTIMATE comfort movie and it's super, super underrated. really heartfelt and beautiful movie ;;

I recently read your Isekai AU and I love it. Such an underutilised genre and I love the confrontations that this is Real™️ Monty isn't angry, Moon isn't evil. They aren't just who they were in game. Will the virus even happen? Will the MC start opening up only to see their friends become violent caricatures? So many possibilities. Can't wait for Sun to feel regret lol

There is the distinct possibility that the MC's very arrival has already changed the course of the intended story. Or maybe their arrival will expedite it.

How does other wordly interference affect this world? MC has no way of knowing, but it is their greatest source of anxiety.

Their insignificant existence and interference in this world could doom these characters entirely.

Your writing is so gripping, I literally couldn't put my phone down, I was so caught up in the story that I even forgot to like the chapters. Your characterization of everyone is seriously point and so very amazing. You've done an amazing job describing the reader's depression, you captured the grief really well.

I love the way you write Billy, his interactions with the reader are so fun to read! I also really, really love the little tidbits with Steve <3

I just want to say thank you so much for this amazing comment! I read it while I was at work and it really made my night! I love getting comments like these because it shows me what you guys actually like about the story. I love writing it and it's the first time I have really written something long enough to focus on things like theme and story structure.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the characters and the motivations that drive them. I love the show, but I feel like one of the things you can miss out on with visual media is the distinct characterization of a person. A lot of descriptions of the readers depression/anxiety/grief are pulled either directly from my own experience or those close to me. It's something that I try to focus on in order to portray it in a realistic way.

I really can't help throwing in my own feelings for Steve. He is such a good guy and the show did a great job of giving him a redemption arc and I just wish they would have done something similar with Billy.

1. What is your current favorite film? OOOOO IT JUST HIT ME - but My Neighbours the Yamadas. SO BEAUTIFUL SLICE OF LIFE GROWING UP EDGY GRANDMA WISE GRANDKID and it's a little funny a little poignant classic Takahata

2. What was your favorite film as a child? Lame... but Parent Trap. Tho tbf "child" goes a long range, so let us not forget that expected Tom Cruise phase where I watched Mission Impossible several times....

4. Is there a film that you love except for the ending? What would you change about the ending? UNFORTUNATELY WHILE I WOULD LOVE TO CHANGE THE ENDING THE ENDING IS NECESSARY yes i realize this doesn't really answer your question. For those into "films for filmmakers", this is a great outing on bullying, and how sometimes there is no "villain" but there are consequences. Lovely music too!

I love the visdev phase, the storyboarding phase - the part where the words, script etc becomes a MOVINGPICTURE. That's the weird space where you have to remove all the words and show them in New and Interesting and Relevant ways and it CONSUMES ME.

Also sound design. Sound design is so neat, and so under-appreciated. We've all read that bit about how good audio design is invisible, but also how without the iconic star wars sabre sound the movie wouldn't have been as cool. And also sneaking in BIGATURES. WHEN WILL MARVEL DIE SO WE CAN HAVE BIGATURES AGAIN???? [blade runner weeps in the distance]

Hi. I am shaking and crying because of your isekai fic. like, idk if I could've written a fic that I love more. and then after finding you, I find out you're also the writer of the naga fic I love dearly? My brain is melting and my heart exploded. I don't have the words to properly convey how much I love the naga fic, and I certainly can't describe how I feel about Reality is Stranger. like I have new feelings stirred up in me that I never felt, the most glaring being that I'm so exceptionally jealous of that y/n for no other reason than they get to snuggle and hug and (insert not child friendly here) Moon! And a Moon as sweet as him, as caring and respectful as him just makes my heart flutter and seethe at the y/n for not making choices I would, or not knowing the pizzaplex as well as I do I'm not actually that upset, I hyperfixated on sb and the daycare after all yet I'm hungry for more, especially if this y/n wises up and finally let Moon seduce them like I am. I could really keep going on how much I love this, I mean, I haven't even mentioned Sun, but I have a feeling I won't be able to keep the more explicit thoughts at bay. Please know that I love your fics a ton and am happy to wait as long as it takes to update them, or even if they don't get updated, I can know I got to read them and tell you how much that affected me!

re: The Bat, my family's house is extremely old and we have hundreds of bats in our attic. sometimes they journey to the realm of the mortals (us). sometimes they do this every day for weeks on end. my mom's old method was to open all the doors and wait for them to decide to fly outside (better than house of screaming people). unfortunately once we did this during a blizzard and 1) cold. it was so cold. 2) THE BAT DIDN'T LEAVE BECAUSE THERE WAS A BLIZZARD
