Hey there I have a thing where I will look into tarot and even tho it's a general reading I take it to the heart and fucking soul dude. I'm a male, Cancer sun leo moon cancer rising, I have aquarius in the 8th house so I guess it makes sense I'm so into this and of course it's a secret.. nobody knows. But I thought it's time to open up for once about my secret interest which is astrology and tarot but I use it for like emotional fulfillment dude. I'm talking if tarot tells me my crush is gonna reject me my whole mood is FUCKED. If it tells me she will accept me I'm elated. It's crazy how much influence it has on my emotions. Same exact thing with my daily horoscope. If my horoscope tells me my transit of the day is pluto opp mars... bruh. I'm deadass scared throughout the day especially if I'm working on that day. Got any advice? Like wth is wrong with me maybe I need something to fill the void so I use tarot/astrology? I think I got it bad. It's been like this for years... pls

First and foremost, you're not the first person to feel this way. I've had many clients over the years expressing the same thing to me. It's also the reason why many of us readers put up disclaimers about taking what resonates and leaving the rest behind and that it's for entertainment purposes only.
I think the best piece of advice I can give you is to treat tarot and astrology as guidelines, not actual facts. You know yourself better than a stranger on your screen. Especially when the reading itself isnt tailored specifically to you (ie pick a card readings; astro observations)
The whole point of tarot is a guideline or steps you can take to implement in the real world. But that's the thing...you have to implement it. You cant just keep doing the readings and not do anything with the information given to you. That will drive you bonkers, my dude!
My rule of thumb for myself is if I've done 2+ readings on a certain topic/situation that's weighing on me, it's about time to start taking action.
Like the situation with you and your crush, for example... Take this with a grain of salt as I don't know your entire situation with them, but.... Maybe it's time for you to ask yourself what you actually want from them? If it's just a crush that you feel will pass, maybe it's time to move on and focus your energy on a different topic. If you want to pursue a relationship, maybe it's time to tell them how you feel, regardless of the presumed rejection. Either option, you're doing it for your peace of mind because now you know what course of action to take, instead of wondering about the what ifs.
You'll become more sure of yourself once you start directing your energy into focusing on what you can control in the here and now that can and will help you elevate your life, rather than focusing on what's to come. What's to come is out of your control. If you try to control the uncontrollable, you're gonna get fucked. Plain and simple.
As you mentioned, it does seem like you're using astro and tarot for emotional fulfillment and it seems that fear is holding you back. So the best way to over come that is to actually implement it in your day to day. Transits aren't looking good? That's life bro! Be glad you have a guideline to help you through it. Pluto opp Mars transit... Take those challenges head on! So you're going to faces a few hard days...but you know what comes after that? Opportunities that you never thought would come. Pluto and Mars are powerful and strong planets ..their meant to test you. It's ok to be afraid of the challenge, just don't let it hinder you from experiencing life. You may not be able to control the challenges coming to you, but you CAN control your reactions to them. And THAT'S where your power is.
I guess to sum this up... Get out of your cerebral and start taking action. You'll be surprised by how many opportunities you're holding yourself back from because of being too scared of the outcome... Life is full of outcomes. Dont let that fear keep you trapped.
I hope this gave you peace of mind in some way.

Ok so I have another request a whitebeard pirates x child reader again
So the whitebeard pirates arrived at a spooky island which is dark and gloom like Mohawk island (forgor the name)
So they find reader sleeping with a small teddy bear but when they got close the teddy bear is alive and trying to kill them because the teddy (Name Mr stitchy) is protective over reader because Mr stitchy See's them as family and leader
The reader wakes up but instead of stopping Mr stitchy they just watch because they hate pirates and pirates we're the reason why they are stranded in the island
But then whitebeard appears then starts hurting Mr stitchy making reader to beg and cry to stop hurting their family
So in the end whitebeard coax reader to coming with them
Also can you base Mr stitchy off this? This idea has been in my mind lol

“Man, this place is gloomy,” Thatch mutters
“Why did we stop here again?” Ace questioned, wincing as he stepped into what looked like a pile of bones
“We were running down on supplies; this was the closest Island on the way,” Izou replies
“What can we possibly fin- is that a kid?” Ace questions, pausing right in front of the sleeping child
“She got a creepy teddy too; look at that thing; it’s all stitched up; look, the head doesn’t even fit the body,” he said, poking at the plushie
Mr.Stichy moves around at the sudden contact, his eyes flying open as he begins to take in what is happening around him and the danger Dokucha could be in; he is quick to lunge at the man, branding twin sickles
“Man, what is that thing? Is it a haint!?” Thach yells, taking out his dual blades and parring against the attacher
“What the hell?!” Ace exclaims, looking at the odd newcomer
“Get the hell away from her,” the bear growls, pushing Thatch back with his own weapons
“The hell you talking about, you overgrown plushy,” Thatch said, stumbling back
Dokucha rubs their eyes, slowly waking up at the chaos unfurling. She watched how the bear evaded Thatch’s attacks and lunged for him once again, not making any movement to stop or call back the bear.
“Who’s this kid?” Ace asks while keeping a close eye on the stuffed bear
“Not important, the bear’s clearly dangerous,” Thatch shouted back and lunged for the bear, attacking again
“That bear is quick.” Ace comments, igniting his flames and jumping into the fray
“You want to go?!”
Mr.Stichy narrows his eyes, glaring at the flame man
“You’re no match for us!” the man declared while firing off blasts of flames at the bear. At the same time, Izou aimed his way to shoot down the bear
“STOP!” Dokucha screams, running in front of the bear just as Ace was about to make contact. In just a second, as Dokucha stood in front of him, arms stretched to protect him, Mr. Stichy stood behind her glaring at Ace, who had managed to stop, as he pointed his weapons at him
“What?” both of them say at the same time, looking at the screaming girl
“What the hells is going on?” Thatch says
“Don’t hurt him!”
“Him?” Ace said, stopping his attack
“This thing?. Do you mean to tell me you’re attached to this?” Thatch said in a mocking voice
“He’s all I have left,” they cry
“Where are your parents? Izou questions, putting his guns away and approaching the child, ignoring the way Me. Stichy kept his sickles pointed their way, his red eye ominously digging into them
“They died. It’s only Stichy and me now.”
“I’m sorry you had to go through that,” Izou sympathizes while still keeping an eye on the bear as Ace and Thatch glance at each other
“We should take her to the Pops.”
“Are you sure? That bear looks really creepy; I wouldn’t trust it.” Thatch says
“She would still be alone if we let her go; I agree with Izou; we should take her,” Ace says
“ She’s not going with the likes of you.” He growls
“She shouldn’t be on her own,” Ace argues while Thatch puts his sword back into its sheath
“It would be cruel not to,” Izou adds
“Like hell, I will let you take her!”
“Listen, I understand we just met; I know you are wary of us, I understand that, and the decision is ultimately yours, but think about her, do you really think she will be able to survive here alone? Even if she does, do you think she will be happy?” Izou questioned
Stichy stills at that, glancing at the trembling child in front of him and slowly lowering his sickles
“How do I know you are not trying to use her?”
“You don’t, you just have to trust us.” Piped in Thatch
He took one last glance at the child and back at them and back to Dokucha
“Do you want to go?” He questions lowly
She looks at the men in front of her and back at the bear and nods her head
“I want to go with you,” she said, grasping his paws
“Alright,” he said, giving jn
“Don’t worry, little one, we’ll take care of you,” Izou reassures while walking forward to pick her up
She wrapped one hand around him
Instinctively not letting go of Stichy’s hand as they walk to the ship
Izou smiled reassuringly at her while walking to the ship as Thatch and Ace walked a little ways ahead
“This kid’s got no one,” Thatch said, shaking his head
“That’s why we’ll take care of her,” Ace replied while heading for the ship
“This is Whitebeard, but we call him Pops,” Ace said pointing at said Captain
She flinched, looking up, up, up until she was finally able to meet his eyes, tightening his grip on Stichy, who gave her hand a squeeze in silent comfort
Whitebeard was quiet for a few seconds before crouching down next to her
“What’s your name?” He asked her
“Dokucha”
“Dokucha?…” he paused before nodding. “A nice name,” he said while smiling
“Hey, Pops, can we keep her?” Ace questioned
“Oh, now, who’s looking to adopt a child?” Thatch joked as he walked up to them
“Shut up; I want a little sister; I know you guys do too. Don’t deny it.”
“I think we should let her stay,” Izou says, joining the conversation
“Why do you want me to stay so much?” she questions, grasping Stichy’s hand tighter
“You’re alone; that’s no way to be. Especially at this early of an age,” Whitebeard said
“Yeah, plus you’ve got no other family, so we’ll take care of you as such,” Ace explained while Thatch remained silent
“Family?” She questioned
“You’ll be my family?” She mumbled tears growing on her eyes, tears that she is quick to wipe away
She glanced at Stichy, who stood next to her
“But I can’t leave without Mr.Stichy.”
“Who said he would be staying behind?” stated Whitebeard
“H-He can stay?”
“I wouldn’t make you leave you’re only family behind,” He said while picking her up.
“Oh god, Pops, you’re gonna spoil her rotten,” Thatch complains as ace, and izou can’t help but laugh.
Okay I think I like it, I just think I rushed some of the areas but other than that I like how it turned out

I was spending the night at a friend's house back in middle school and she put on a movie that made me super uncomfortable. After a few maybe-too-subtle attempts to get her to put on something else, I just got up and went into a different room-- and since this was before kids had cell phones or personal computers, I found some paper and a pen and just started writing what turned out to be an isekai-style self-insert LotR fic. I checked in with her close to the end of the movie, thinking she'd be upset with me for just walking out like that-- she hadn't even noticed that I hadn't been in the room with her for an hour and a half.

@sapphosewrites and @ectogeo-rebubbles both have some phenomenal DS9 fic, and I'm a big fan of Sincerely, Captain Thomas from OFMD.
🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
(Seriously, so many)
An original project featured a main character who worked as a stripper, so I delved deep into that. I started with articles (particularly articles aimed at dancers from other dancers), moved on to personal blogs, etc. The last step in the process was just straight up going to a club with a notebook and interviewing the dancers.
I brought money to pay them for their time, because they were legitimately on the clock, and the performers insisted on dancing, etc, while they answered my questions-- and apparently I was getting a disproportionate amount of attention for it, much to the amusement of the straight guy, bi guy, and lesbian who accompanied my asexual ass.
(Getting the experiences of the people from them directly was important, but so was getting an understanding of sensory details like the way the club smells, the vibe of the crowd, the way it's laid out, the volume of the music, etc. It's the kind of stuff that tends to not crop up readily when I'm doing other research.)

my stitchiness, how would you like a nice cup of mama toph feels? ok but ik that you ship kanto and toph, but at least for me Toph is a single mother. How does Lin react to realizing that her father left because of her? How does Toph try to comfort her?
My lovely Anon, I thank you for the Mama Toph feels. I cherish the feels and hold them close. (Also I love the “my stitchiness” HAHA :D)
And it’s totally fine that you enjoy Toph as a single mom! I find that to be very fitting for her, and at least in my AUs where she’s a single mother, she’s really great and the mama Toph feels are so sweet! Toph ships for me are a way to explore different types of relationships, and with Kanto (and Aang and sometimes Sokka, though those AUs can be angsty), I enjoy exploring what it’s like if Toph is in a happy and loving relationship with someone. Because she deserves that haha!
Anyway, in a situation where Kanto leaves Toph because she’s pregnant and he doesn’t want to be a father, I think it depends on how Lin discovers this information. I feel like Toph would be pretty tight lipped about her kids being abandoned by their biological fathers, because at least to Toph, they were never really an important figure for her girls and wouldn’t be the one to break Lin’s heart by saying “Your father left when he found out I was pregnant.” I’m thinking if Lin asks where her dad is, Toph responds more along the lines of “What? Am I not good enough? *tickles chin*” or “Oh he’s on a life-changing field trip.” or “I’m mom and dad kiddo. Most kids need two parents, well I’m so awesome that you only need one!” Idk. Silly stuff.
But if Lin catches on and learns that her dad doesn’t know about her or doesn’t want her, I think Toph would take that conversation seriously. She’d answer Lin’s questions honestly, perhaps embellish a moment or two, but overall it would probably boil down to, “Your dad is a nice guy, really. He just wasn’t ready to be a father.”
If Lin still feels sad about not being good enough, Toph likely goes on and on about how amazing she is and that her dad is missing out because she’s that awesome and if he ever did meet Lin, he’d be in awe of her. Toph would also say that dads come in different shapes and sizes, and some don’t even have the title “dad.” Aang, Zuko, and Sokka are all amazing uncles to Lin, and they are the father figures in her life. So she doesn’t have one dad, but three! Being loved by them is more important than making some random guy Lin’s never met be proud.
I’m not sure if Lin would be convinced right away, but I have a feeling that the conversation makes things much better for her. Her mom is pretty awesome, and while it would be nice to have a dad, she’s got some awesome uncles that say Flameo and teach her how to feed turtleducks and throw boomerangs. And she’s got a mama that does the work of both a mom and a dad, and she’s killin it. :D Perhaps she doesn’t need a dad after all…

Secondly, my tips would include:
Post content frequently! When I first started, I would post one drabble a day, and now I've moved up to 4-5. Regardless of how much you write, make sure you're posting it often, so people will have more of a chance to see it!
Reblog stuff! If you see anything that just gives you whumperflies, then hit that reblog button!
Going of that one, don't be afraid to interact with other people within this community! The whumpblr community is made up of some of the nicest people I've met!
I can't think of anything else, but if anyone has more tips for this lovely anon, please share them!
