SOOOOOOOOOOO…… anyone else keeping count of the Mandalorian urge to adopt children running rampant in the Fett lineage this season? I think we about to double Hunter’s current adopted count (4), in a single episode, courtesy Echo and Emori! AND I AM HERE FOR IT!!!!
I love how in like ep 2 Hunter immediately moved from 1 to 4. And now Echo is about to call him and tell him he better start building a bigger house on Pabu because he’s inbound with 4 more, including a baby. And before y’all get mad and remind me they have families already, consider this: even if returning them to their families is doable, they’re gonna need good protection for the rest of their lives, and who better to teach them that than the Bad Batch + Rex and Friends? AKA, Hunter is now like a swordfather to, ~8 kids!!!
Tumblr media
^ this is how this man wants to love out the rest of his days, watching his children play and live free!!! and this is what I want to see too!!!

Thinking about how Jotaro Kujo is The Tragic Character™️ of JJBA. Araki simply cannot let that man be happy. He fr said “you can fit so much trauma into this bad boy”!
His entire life was so tragic that we all knew he was going to die, eventually.
His Mother’s life was endangered and on the journey to save her he gains significant trauma from people trying to KILL him and then lost three friends at the ripe old age of 17.
He goes to University, meets a woman he falls in love with, and has a kid. realizes that as long as there’s a threat of enemy stand users wanting revenge for Dio his family will never be safe so he has to leave his family behind and distance himself.
Became a older brother/father figure to Josuke but had to leave him because he knew he would bring enemy stand users into that poor boys life- the only Joestar that had a somewhat of a shot at being normal.
Then in part 5 it’s revealed that when he got separated from Polnareff, Diavolo paralyzed Polnareff. He’s probably carrying guilt from that. He’s also probably stressed asf at first that the son of the vampire who tried to adamantly kill him is just out there somewhere. Thank god Giorno took after Jonathan 😭.
Then in part 6, he had to face his failures as a father, understanding that he didn’t deserve and probably would never get Jolyne’s forgiveness, but it’s so clear to me that Jotaro wanted to be there for her. But of course, to him, the only way he can protect people is to push them far away from him. He never learned that he is stronger in numbers because whenever he was in numbers, someone he loved got hurt.
Jotaro never understood he deserved the happiness of a loving family.
He couldn’t even save his daughter (and he dies believing that Jolyne hates him because he knows he’s a shit father AND WAS OK WITH IT AS LONG AS SHE GOT TO LIVE 😭😭😭) in the process.
He’s a Greek Myth type of sadness.

Something something “we were a hammer to the statue of David” “smash all the guitars ‘till we see all the stars” “like a sledgehammer to a disco ball” something something “what is there between us, if not a little annihilation?” something about how the art of Kintsugi revolves around breaking something valuable in order to make it more stable but also more beautiful

It really sucks when able bodied people forget you're disabled but don't trust you to handle your disability at the same time.
Being asked after is nice sometimes. But It's not nice to be treated like I've done something that's going to hurt me every time I do things. I know what I'm doing. When I do to much and I know about it, I can handle it just fine.
They just keep reminding me to take care of myself like I would have forgotten to.
You forget. You don't remember.
I remember. I always remember.

I want to talk about how "we are stardust" has become a cliche and I hate that it's become a cliche
to say that we are stardust isn't a romanticized version of the truth. it is the truth.
a science lesson for anyone who's interested (stick with me here):
when the universe was born, everything was really hot, so hot that it couldn't combine into atoms, and when it cooled down enough stuff like helium and hydrogen (and some other elements in small quantities) were made. there was nothing else.
because of stuff like density and gravity, that gas collapsed into stars. and most of those stars became red dwarf stars which have trapped all that material inside them, burning so slowly that none of them have ever released that stuff back out because they live for trillions of years.
of the stars that didn't become red dwarfs some stars started burning, changing hydrogen to helium then carbon and nitrogen and then they die, exploding into these beautiful noisy planetary nebulae. those explosion are where the material for the carbon and nitrogen in your body come from. that's what we mean when we say we're made of stardust. you are a living tomb for the corpse of a million stars, separated from them by space and time.
only a few stars get really big and burn a lot more and make iron. the iron in apples that makes them turn brown and your blood that makes it possible for you to live and breathe. those stars didn't just slowly build up to that moment over time like the stars that made your carbon and nitrogen. they took a few seconds to make a supernova that blew all the atoms that are currently in your body into space and eventually they found themselves in you, making you everything that you are. those explosion are so powerful that if a lot of them happen in a small enough space they can break galaxy disks and leak into their halos.
and these explosions, they are so incredible and loud and the universe is screaming to make the stuff that you are made of.
you aren't just made of stars, you are the result of billions of years of life and death on such a cosmic scale that we may never experience it, not in this lifetime or the next or the one after that.
in physics, sometimes we simplify interactions and say that matter knows. that matter knows the most stable configurations to be in and it knows how to decay to become stable if it isn't and it knows how to feel gravity.
in that sense, stars know when they're dying but they don't know what they'll become. if they'll get lost in gas that never becomes anything else or if they'll become the heart of a whole new star or if they'll become part of rocks or life or your shoelaces.
idk i just feel like there's more to it than just being stardust. there's billions of lifetimes that go into who you are and that's not to add pressure on you to be something extraordinary in this life. it's just what this is like, exploding and living and dying and always becoming something else so you aren't just from stars and part of this cosmic history either, we're part of the cycle so it makes sense that we explode and live and die and keep becoming someone else.
ok byeeee

Did I mention Nebula has a habit of just.. Hibernating?
Well technically it's not hibernating. Nebula is particularly sensitive to the cold, though he can't actually feel it very often since he's got a body temperature dysfunction. Papy helps by reminding him to wear his jacket and stuff..
Without it, the cold tires him out very slowly, making him tired.. Eventually he sleeps until his body doesn't wanna sleep anymore.
Here's Stardust though; don't got a Papy no more- he's used to just.. Dying for a solid three days.
Tumblr media
He doesn't know what the fuck is even the month, no time schedule at all. Sleep cycle is just 'cold really tired' and 'warmish, will not sleep.'
Btw here's him in a little nest (a certain bird) made for him.

YOU GUYS!!! I noticed something while rewatching the Mandalorian today and needed to share it with my fellow Star Wars nerds!!! (Galactic geeks perhaps? We need a name for us Star Wars nerds!)
They specify in Mando that the last 4 digits of the chain code tell the individual’s age!
Which tells us a few things:
1) there are at least a few species of interest to the empire that can live up to or beyond 1000 years of age, or they wouldn’t really care about that. We know over 100 years is fairly common, Ugnauts for example, but only a few examples of species over 1000. Even Yoda didn’t live for 1 whole millennia, tho it’s hard to say if that’s common for his species or if his life was actually cut short because Jedi have a tendency to have shorter lifespans than their natural species
2) with every year that passes the chain code changes. Making it easy for them to catch someone if they type the wrong age, whether accidentally or not
3) it’s also why it’s hard to hide a clone. Even with forged identities and fake ages, they’d have to keep forging new identities every few years, or the empire is gonna notice that their ages increase too fast for a normal human
Layer upon layer, the empire has built bias into everything they do… but in such a way that it is easy to miss and difficult to avoid. Tho, making them “chain” code is very symbolic. They really are chains shackling all people of the Galaxy to the Empire
I wonder if Thrawn gave them his real age…
I wonder if the chain codes also include a species code… and what else is contained in them? Anyone know more details about these chain codes?
This also means that Din’s age might be on screen in that one episode with Jack Black and the Lizzo when Din and Bo show their chain codes! Will update this if I find it when I get there!
Side note: I also love the way the subtitles translate “e chu ta” as “hey” in episode 1, as though it’s just a minor thing

Hello everybody, I think I'll start off by saying that I've been feeling rather abandoned or more so, upset over the past few days. So... Planning to do something new to maybe help me feel a little bit better...and that's to ramble about my favorite JoJo characters. Hol Horse and Stroheim. Think I'll start with Hol Horse. By the way, took these screenshots, though the quality varies since I watched JoJo on different websites at the time.
Tumblr media
Can imagine him going into the kitchen like this...leaning on the countertop and probably having some tea on the table. Him and I could be having a chat...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His eyes....his goddamn blue eyes!! Too pretty...I'd like to be stared down by them in such a comforting manner. He's such a sweet cowboy my goodness-could stare at this all day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This smug boy always brightens up my day man like...his smile! They are literally a ray of sunshine, he's that perfect to me. Personally, seeing comfort characters smiling is just about the best gift I could ask for internally, and Hol Horse pulls it off nicely!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now THIS one...oh...THIS ONE...moments like these I wish to be Nena and be held by the handsome cowboy. A hug from him must feel so warm, and I'd burst into tears due to the lack of comfort I get but at the same time, be happy that Hol Horse is there. Hol Horse telling me I'm doing my best, or telling me that I'm valid...anything of the sort. I'd burst into tears, but at least he's there for me in these trying times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Appreciate to those who spent the time reading this, just wanted to express my thoughts about the cowboy tonight. Pardon that not a lot of art has been produced from me, life's busy. I'll get back to posting soon. In the meantime, enjoy the Hol Horse screenshots.

Ok people saying that Jotaro doesn’t care for Jolyne did not watch the same series that I did…
Jotaro obviously cares a lot about Jolyne and his (nameless, CMON ARAKI 😭) ex- wife. He just left them because he didn’t know how to communicate to them that there was a powerful superbeing stuck inside him and that no matter where he went trouble was going to follow him.
{edit} Another angle to add to this: Jotaro probably didnt see himself as deserving of a normal life and family- he found happiness in his wife and daughter but knew the looming threat of enemy stand users would eventually bring harm to his precious family.
Just like Holly, who he didn’t know how to protect other than putting himself in a jail cell, he ran away to protect the two women he loved.
And you’re thinking: ok, so why did he go to Japan? Well; he knew Josuke was a stand user. He knew that he was connected to Joseph, and felt more equipped to handle a situation that didn’t involve regular people like his wife and his (then stand-less) daughter.
Jotaro isn’t very good with words. He’s not the best communicator, something he never really grows out of. So the only way he can protect the people he loves is getting the hell away from them and hoping the bad follows him instead.
Which also feeds into my Autistic Jotaro theory but that’s a whole other rant

so many people ignore avdol (a long complaint and lots of rambling)
Avdol is one of the core character in Part 3, yet it's rare to see content of him outside of the ship between him n Polnareff. This is SO annoying to me. People put their whole tushies into loving Kakyoin (who got so little screen time) but then ignore Avdol. Now I could go into WHY i think this happens, but instead i'll just complain about his treatment in canon as well.
Avdol is treated with less care by canon than any of the other characters. How? He's given no backstory, his death is overshadowed (and unnecessary imo), and he is simply pushed to the side so much.
For example, him and Kakyoin were both sidelined due to injuries in the part, but you know what happens when Kakyoin is killed? He's given an entire backstory (and even flashbacks in the anime.) His death is the key to the other Crusaders learning of Dio's stand ability. Compare this to Avdol's death now.
First of all, why was the fucking dumb dog's death treated as the same level of severity as Avdol's (the PERSON??) Like I can't even find a fucking angst edit abt Avdol's death without people including Iggy clips and voicelines from Polly abt it. Well okay, I know the reason for this. They're treated at the same level in canon. If anything, Polly is practically more torn up over Iggy's death than Avdol's honestly.
It's fucking stupid. First of all, it's ridiculous that Iggy survived longer than Avdol and it's stupid that he's the one who helped actually defeat Vanilla Ice. Secondly, Iggy should've died during the Pet Shop arc in all honesty.
But reallly, it should've been Polnareff to die. Avdol dying in the end is just an unsatisfying arc for the two of them. It's just Avdol sacrificing himself for Polnareff two times and Polly just crying. It would've been better for Polnareff to be able to save his loved one for once, something he couldn't do for Sherry. It would also be more satisfying considering Avdol has, again, already been shot in the head for Polly.
And don't get me started on the bitches that don't include Avdol in SDC content oh my god yall desever NOTHING
TLDR; i love avdol and he deserves MORE

Cookie of the year should eliminate the Cookies that won the previous year (looks at Black Pearl Cookie)
That way it gives other cookies a chance to get a costume. Especially those who released this year (Golden Cheese, Stardust, and Moonlight).
I'm mad about Golden Cheese specifically. I was 95% certain she would get in the top 3 because she was the most hyped up Ancient for 3 years. Three. Hopefully she gets up there and stays there.
And now (last time I checked) she's in fourth. Frost Queen is in 5th. Both are absolutely unacceptable.
Stardust has two costumes already, while Moonlight (combined from Ovenbreak and Kingdom) has 5 costumes.
