Your eyes scanned the aquarium seeing all your friends gathered up together for Manny’s birthday, he loved to go all out for his parties that not even an outbreak can stop him. You sat next to Leah on the floor with your back pressed up against the table as everyone was huddled up together in a circle on a cold winter night, all of you had snuck out of base to come here.

“I’m fucking twenty-five pendejos!” Manny drunkenly raised his beer in the air, slurring on his words having everyone cheer for him, beer bottles clanking together as splashes of beer fell. “Who’s gonna carry his ass back to base when he’s blacked out” you commented earning a couple of laughs from your friends.

Leah managed to find a record player with a couple of old school vinyls, the music playing in the back softly. Your eyes always seemed to wander back to Abby, you couldn’t lie, you were in love with the girl but there was nothing you could do, she was always going to have eyes for Owen even if Mel was carrying his child.

You saw the way she laughed a little too hard as his stupid jokes, her blue eyes glistening every time she looked at him, God, it disgusted you. Feeling your face heat up, jealousy consumed your insides as you burned holes into Owen’s stupid face “You’re making it obvious Y/n.” Leah nudged your side, blinking a few times before seeping back into reality, a heavy sigh fell from your lungs, leaning your head against the desk rolling it over to Leah who was fiddling around with her polaroid camera.

“What does she see in that thing.” your doe eyes rolled in annoyance hearing his stupid laugh over and over again “If you were straight you would understand, say cheese.” She lifted her camera to her eyes taking a quick off guard picture of you “Leah, I wasn’t ready!” you laughed pushing her shoulder softly “Hey, take a picture with us!” Mel waved her hand motioning to bring you guys over to them.

You two made your way over to the other side, you sat down beside Abby “Hey, take a picture of Me and Y/n.” Abby spoke up, wrapping her arm around your shoulder, you head leaned against her shoulder with a smile on your face as Leah snapped the picture. The frame slowly coming out before she handed it over to Abby.

“We look good together” She giggled looking over at you with her beautiful, enchanting blue eyes. You looked up at her through your lashes looking away quickly catching yourself stare at her for a bit too long. Scooting a little bit away from her you brought your knees up to your chest feeling cold from the air leaking through the cracks.

Everyone knew you were madly in love with the blonde, how could they not? they way you looked at her was not a look you gave anyone else, everyone you ever met has told you how intimidating you are, your demeanor scaring off people. You knew you were a little cold towards others but these people had your heart but nothing like how Abby did and yet she was the only one who was so clueless.

“Y/n, take any interest in anyone? it’s like you refuse to let loose.” Owen half drunkenly spoke up, he knew about your feelings towards Abby as well and he loved to take advantage of that. “No, too busy trying to fight for my life rather than getting girls pregnant.” Your snark remark has everyone hollering, “She got your ass Pendejo!” Manny laughing so hard you swore he was gonna pass out from lack of oxygen.

You saw Abby tense up from what you said, you knew she was upset over the fact Owen had gotten his girlfriend pregnant. After a couple of rounds of drinking you felt your body shoot up with confidence, you found yourself getting a little touchy with Abby, your hands would go from playing with her braid to rubbing her back. Abby couldn’t care less, she never felt uncomfortable around you quite honestly she loved the attention you were giving her since Owen was too busy making out with Mel.

“Abs, can I talk to you?” your hand ran up to the back of her neck softly rubbing it for her to look at you “Yeah, what’s wrong? want me to take you back to base?” Concern filled her face, brow’s farrowed together. “No, I— follow me.” Standing up you walked through the doors to the other side of the aquarium, Abby trailing right behind you.

“What did you wanna—“ She saw tears falling down your sweet face, rushing to cup your face in her calloused hands “Why are you crying hun?” You sniffled rolling your eyes at her “Stop doing that Abs.” You spoke barely above a whisper, avoiding eye contact with her. “Doing what Y/nn? hey, look at me.” Her eyes soften, so worried about the girl who she saw as a close friend, you looked up at her with your tear filled doe eyes.

Grabbing her face you pulled her into a kiss, your lips smashing against her soft ones. Pulling away you realized what you did, you just jeopardized the only thing that mattered to you so much, both of your eyes widened at your actions. “I— oh fuck, I’m so fucking sorry Abby.” Before she could even say anything you had ran out the doors, running back to base with tear streaming down your face endlessly, the ache in your heart had you sobbing out in pain.

Ok since my other ask got eaten by Tumblr I'll write it again (screw u tumblrrr I'm gonna eat u for eating asks)

Dan Feng IL purposely "making" a Vidyadhara child using his DNA. We all know canonically Vidyadharas can't have an offspring, but Dan Feng was desperate for one. He conducts many illegal experiment to produce one offspring of Vidyadhara of his own.

He was beyond thrilled when he succeed, but then realize there's no way he can possibly bring his child to the outside world since she's literally a replica of himself in any way, only slightly different horn color.

But when shit goes down, when he resorts to giving immortality to Yingxing and both of them get banished from Luofu, he has no choice but to leave his daughter behind.

She was being left there in Dan Feng's basement for who knows how long until Jing Yuan finds her.

Jing Yuan took pity on the poor kid and took her under his wings so she won't be used for other experiments.

But because she's a 'product', she 'reset' way faster than normal Vidyadhara (I'd say she reset every 200-300 years instead of 700).

Imagine Dan Heng's reaction knowing this fact. Jing Yuan probably asked him if he wanted to take her, since it would be safer for her anyways to be in Astral Express instead of Xianzhou.

Dan Heng probably wanted to refuse, but he can't since technically he's her father. She's just another victim of Dan Feng's shenanigans 😔.

Especially if Dan Heng is already in a relationship with the reader, imagine him trying to explain to everyone.

Do you mind making the astral express crew reaction to the kid? If somehow Dan Heng brought her back lol. You don't need to do it right away btw, since you are still playing sea of stars.

-The Astral Express Crew’s Reaction to Dan Feng’s daughter joining the crew-

Dan Heng and reader: well. You’re certainly surprised to find out that, in a way, your boyfriend has a daughter. So that kinda makes her your daughter now too right? Dan Heng was expecting you to be more hesitant when he introduced Dan Feng’s daughter to you, but you welcomed her with open arms. She was family to you. Dan Heng is hesitant about this whole situation, but he didn’t see a choice. He had to take her. And maybe with time he’ll end up being a good father to her.

Welt Yang: he’s welcoming but cautious. Who knows what kind of life she lived with Dan Feng, and what that did to her. Welt wants her to be able to live a good life, of course, though he’s careful around her. He wants to make sure she’s influenced in a Positive way now that her life is back on track, in a way.

Himeko: you know Himeko…I have no doubt in my mind that she’s very welcoming to having Dan Feng’s child join the express. She is warm and friendly with the girl, and almost like a mother figure to her. (Who am I kidding? She’s Definitely a mother figure to her).

Trailblazer: The Trailblazer is very curious about their new companion. I think the Trailblazer would be very welcoming, but sure to be careful around the daughter of Dan Feng.

March 7th: March is SO excited! For her, it’s like getting a new little sister!! The two hang out a Lot, and they became fast friends, and Dan Heng is relieved that his daughter found someone she could be close to…

Mihawk notices the slight smirk on Zoro’s face and turns to him.

“And since you seem to have so much time on your hands, it seems that I have been far too lenient on your training.”

The smirk on Zoro’s face is immediately erased and replaced with a wince

Mihawk smirks at his reaction

“Since you seem to be bored with the training you have already had, I think it’s a good time to increase the difficulty and make it more interesting.”

“Reader, could you wait inside? I’ll be with you soon.”

“Okay!” They said, jumping down from his arms

“Bye-bye, Uncle Zoro! Bye Bye Auntie Perona!”

After the child left, Mihawk gave them a harsh side glance

is it just me, but if reader and suguru are in their twenties, i don't see the four year age gap being a big deal? and later on, it becomes even less of a big deal.

i get that there may be some moral deliberation on suguru's part with the growing up aspect, but for them to keep their relationship a secret forever? really? that's kinda weird imo and making a big fuss out of nothing

if they're like 24 and 28, why the hell do they have to hide? i literally don't get it at all. they're not doing anything immoral. and reader is not a child by any means, and it's not like they have some cognitive gap or anything. i just don't get it. maybe it's a cultural thing, and for you it's a bigger deal than it is for me.

obviously fourteen x eighteen is super fucked up and wrong, but we're not talking about that, my god

the gap itself isn’t the problem, it’s not a big deal in their twenties. the issue here is the way their dynamic started. satoru always viewed reader like a younger sibling, and it was the same with suguru. don’t you think that would be awkward for them at all? 😭 i think you’re focusing on the present point of their relationship which is fine, but their history as a whole is important too!! if you grew up with a younger kid who was crushing on you, while you viewed them as a sibling, wouldn’t you also feel weird about developing feelings for them later down the line? i definitely would!!

the important part is the shift in their dynamic, not the age gap (but i mention the gap bc it’s so central to their prior dynamic). satoru can’t bring himself to shift his view on reader, bc he still sees them as someone younger that he needs to protect. there’s a kind of power dynamic there that’s important to remember, and it was established when they first met. he’s older, he’s known you since you were a little kid, he’s spent all those years making sure not to give you the impression that he’s leading you on at all. satoru doesn’t want to break that pattern, and he views that choice as important.

so don’t you think he’d be kind of pissed if he found out suguru had gotten together with you? if he found out suguru had made a choice to break that pattern, when he was so adamant on not doing so? there would definitely be a lot of tension there. satoru literally spends the fic talking about how he thinks reader should be with someone better, someone closer to their own age, someone who they didn’t meet from such a young age — and then he finds out they’re with suguru??

like . there’s no way there wouldn’t be a fight there. i’m not saying it’d be the end of the world or their friendship or anything, but satoru would absolutely be upset with suguru. especially since he places him on such a high pedastal. it’s less about morality and more about convictions. there’s nothing immoral about them being together, but it goes against the convictions satoru’s found himself sticking to.

so!!! that’s the reason i think they would keep their relationship secret. to avoid that tension. i can’t see it being anything other than a sneaky summer romance. maybe in the future they could tell everyone, but i also just don’t see suguru/reader as an actual endgame couple in this au… i didn’t specify this in the fic but the two of them aren’t nearly as close as reader is with riko and satoru, since they only met when suguru was hanging out at the gojo household.

anyway!! that’s my take on that. again, the gap isn’t the issue, it’s everything surrounding their dynamic, and the history of it. bottom line is that stsg grew up viewing reader as a sibling of sorts, so of course any kind of shift from that pattern would feel strange. if you meet someone when they’re fourteen and you’re eighteen, i’d argue that it’s a lot weirder to not consider that part of your dynamic important when thinking of them as a potential romantic interest in the future.

like, imagine someone asking you and your partner for your age, and you tell them you’re 27 while your partner is 23. not a big deal, obviously!! but then they ask what age you were when you met and you have to say you were eighteen and they were fourteen. even if you quickly explain that you didn’t get together until you were both adults, don’t you think that would earn you some weird stares? it’s not immoral but it’s a delicate situation, and i think satoru would get angry at suguru for not handling it delicately enough from his pov. remember that satoru himself can only see it as totally normal like. a decade into the future LMAO. his view doesn’t have to be the same as yours or mine, but it’s satoru’s own view that’s important here.

….. hopefully that made it all a bit more clear 😭 sorry for rambling so much anon!! hopefully you’re still with me :’3 obviously you’re free to root for whichever couple you want, but i don’t see myself changing my stance on these two. it’s a fun what-if bonus ending and i think that’s more than enough!! nothing that’s meant to be angsty or whatever, just suguru and reader sneaking around a bit because they know riko and satoru will be angry.

AH ALSO one more thing !! :’3 i’d argue that there is a cognitive gap between reader and suguru. reader is 22-23 in the fic, suguru is 27. it’s not a big gap but the human brain doesn’t finish developing completely until your mid/late twenties!!

overall!! you don’t have to like riko/reader anon. that’s totally understandable!! a part of me also prefers them staying as friends and nothing else, and i’ve always hated the idea that romantic love is seen as stronger as platonic love bc it just . isn’t. platonic love can be and often is just as powerful!! canonically reader and riko are best friends, nothing else, but i still think they’d be cute in a what-if scenario, that’s all :3 if it’s not your cup of tea then that’s totally fine, none of the endings are canon anyway.

as for the sexual aspect 😭 i just wanted to point this out bc i never write any of my character dynamics with a sexual aspect in mind, even the romantic ones. sex doesn’t have to be a part of romance!! maybe you were just joking so i’m sorry if i’m reading too much into it, just wanted to mention it bc i do see it as important :’3 being lovers doesn’t equal to having sex!!

Hmm so many pregnancy asks lately. But what for couples who can't have biological kids. Obviously nothing can happen by accident, so what would each RO think about adoption? I would assume for most it doesn't change anything and if MC wants a kid it would be the same, but is it something that's important for Rin or in the heir route, depending on the rules of both families?

Also, speaking of the families - now, this may be a bit spoilery so feel free to ignore that one - I absolutely love Luka, but I also know my MC is an absolute sweetheart and someone who will NOT want to have anything to do with the family business, instead focusing on helping people. Will that decision sour the relationship with Luka? I feel like most asks about his reaction were related to ruthless MC's or ones who are planning to become charismatic leaders for the family or whatever, not ones who reject it? Or maybe I've missed that.

I’m sorry to take such a long time to answer these asks 😅 I’ve been trying to answer all of the questions asked in one post. This one’s going to be quite long, so I’ll keep it under the cut.

Let’s start with the common question of all three asks: Would the ROs and other characters be okay with adoption?

Basically, all ROs are okay with adoption if MC wants to. Takashi, Luka, and Grandpa also wouldn’t mind, as long as there is someone to carry on and continue their family lines. And yes, the adopted baby/child would still inherit the title😁

But of course, adoption is not the only method available for same-sex couples to have children. If your MC and Rin or any other RO prefer to have biological children, they can do so through surrogacy or IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)😄 So, that’s another method if MC wants their child to have bigger chance of getting dual-power (more on powers and abilities and genetics explained here).

Second question: Will MC choosing not to become the heir sour their relationship with Luka?

Don’t worry, it absolutely won’t 😊 Luka really loves, cares, and support MC no matter what they choose at the end (Yes, even if MC ends up choosing to become a superhero 😔). I know you sent this ask quite a while ago, but I’ve recently answered about Luka’s reaction to MC who hates him after finding out about his ruthless acts here, if you’re interested in reading it.

Third question: How would the characters react and act around MC’s and RO’s child(ren)?

Luka: Would be very soft, pampering, and protective of them 🥰 But would also love to tease and be mischievous around them as they grow older. Would totally volunteer to help train them in combat and in developing their power(s).

Takashi: Would be the cheerful and jolly grandpa 😍 Carrying them around in his arms, playing with them, letting them get a piggyback ride on his back, and many more. Would also spoil and pamper them a lot.

Pavel (Grandpa Morozov): He’s already softer around MC compared to when he was younger with Viktor and Luka 🥲 Would be the same way with their great-grandchildren as well. Very protective and pampering as well. Would want to sit them on his lap while he tell them stories and impart wisdom to them. Also, would 100% love to give them affectionate head pats.

Would love to tell his experiences through stories and lessons about life and family’s business to them; it’s never too soon to start preparing and teaching them. While he would really love to teach and show them various ways to kill their opponents, he’s already very old, so he would leave that in MC’s and Luka’s hands. Would still try to teach his great-grandchildren how to do that in theories though 😂 and of course, how to intimidate people and how to speak to command respect.

FIRST OF ALL. if steve existed modern day i have a feeling he would be a bit of a frat boy, let’s just be honest ok. definitely one of the nicer ones, but a frat boy none the less. now, i feel he would be a little interesting though, hear me out. instead of liking the basic rap or whatever, he would be one of those dumb kind of frat guys that’s like “oh my god, have you heard of queen before? they’re like this really old band from like the 50s i think, you should really listen to them” 💀💀💀like i said, sweet, but brainless </3

SECONDLY. he is such a normie when it comes to music, and i would simply never let him live it down im sorry. BUT his one exception is he likes the beatles. he has a couple of their tapes and he loves to play them in the car. i feel, at first, he was so basic like “hey jude” and “come together” basic. but you help him. i feel after you introduce a lot of their other music he kind of develops a particular taste — kind of self indulgent but you show him rubber soul and he really likes it, he really likes their older music and i feel he would really like “run for your life” and “drive my car” and he plays them all the time in the car. after you show them some more of their stuff, you can always hear it faintly through his headphones when you’re sneaking up on him at family video or when he’s at home in his room :)))

THIRD. he loves rings. hands down. steve is ringo. least problematic, just vibes, loyal to a fault. he legitimately would say everything you mentioned like you get it. i also feel like steve has a thing for the underdog and i definitely consider ringo and underdog LMAO so it’s a perfect fit. also you show him this and he loses his ever-loving MIND

FOURTH. hungry like the wolf is such a steve song yeah like he definitely listened to that entire song and loved it and learned all the words and he plays air-drums to it but he had absolutely no idea the meaning behind it and when you tell him he’s like “wait… actually?😦 that makes so much sense….”

like he doesn’t necessarily have bad taste, it’s just… basic. we could definitely help him with that though.

you show him all your “underground music” as he likes to call it. and when you show him new wave stuff he really likes it, more than he thought he would. you do play the smiths for him and he’s like “ok this is depressing, can we play, like, some billy joel or something, jesus” but robin likes the smiths and steve despises when you guys put it on in the car he throws a little hissy fit and pouts the whole time he is a child. you show him some talking heads and devo and the cars — you really broaden his horizons and he loves it:) and i AGREE i do feel he would like bowie<333 you would show him labyrinth and all kinds of live bowie performances and he digs it i know this for a fact. sigh, sadly, i love him😔

Love love love your new wake up in pjo series!! Love the fact you alter and add tid bit of your own hc in the universe (ie: may go to therapy, the oracle spirit being cool with the kids). I was so excited when mc and co are going on a quest but then mc drool on luke, clarrise wants to swim bc its too hot, annabeth getting piggy ride and they all act yk like a child in general makes me sad bc why are literal children going on a dangerous quest??? 😭😭 It feel so real when you add those tiny quirks of them.

I also love the fact that mc practically meets immortals and adopts them as their parents/adult figure. First it was maki, then hades and now circe. Yk that audio that went "you're my friend now. Let's get some soft taco later"?? Yeah that's mc. Mc also is the only one who actually has a good godly parent 😭😭 i love mc and zag's father-daughter dynamic. Zag's love language as physical touch is so real!! He hugs, pats, and kiss mc and 🥺🥺🥺 i hope this interaction will make a comeback in the future. And also hoping their dynamic will stay healthy throughout the series 🙏🏽 curious whether zag will makes mc stay in underworld or chb?? Obv zag knows their existence but don't want to send mc there to prevent them from becoming child soldiers and getting involved with the gods but after getting fatally injured maybe make him realize that he can't protect his child forever would make him hesitant and omg cant wait for this confrontation. And mc has staff too now??!! I'm so excited to discover more on mc's talents and power. At first when mc was introduced as zagreus' child, i thought blood manipulation or sth related to life would be their power as zagreus is the god of life/blood/fertility. But exploring the space/time aspect of zagreus is so wicked cool!! Can't wait for it to be explored more in the upcoming chapter!!

Also the love interest aspect is so cool!! The slow build, discovering about loves (platonic, familiar etc) as a child while growing up as a demigod can be rather a handful. When circe asks mc abt luke (and him scratching his butt, ngl i giggled at that part) and mc denied it, oh yes i love that slow build. (Did the girls in pjo be a love interest too?? Bc that will be so cool!!). Not only from the relationship's aspect but the slow build in friendship too. The bumpy start when befriending clarrise and her started to trust mc (with her complaining abt mc going to underworld and the spear thing 🥺). I can't wait for mc to meet percy and other characters and reading their friendship/relationship progress. (And does that mean nico will be mc's uncle?? Uncle nico??)

Yeah! I mean they are just kids you know? As a kid reading books about other kids becoming hero’s is inspirational because it makes you think you can be a hero too, but when you’re an adult looking back you think “man this is messed up.” I hope this series is nostalgic for you, but also an adult looking back perspective.

Zagreus is really the only good godly parent in the series lololol, Hades/Persephone are a close second but they’ve got their quirks lol. I think you’ll be fairly surprised at the next parts! I think the next parts will 100% make sense and set the tone of the series as well as being very relatable.

Yeah! I noticed there’s so many gods who are tagged with fertility and hunting in particular, I thought it was interesting that Zagreus was the god of mysteries and hunting, I thought it would be interesting to make a bit of a twist with that. The staff definitely plays a part in it, but not in the way you probably think haha, I like the idea that all it takes to be a witch is desire/will so I added those elements there.

Ah I’m still not sure if there will be a romantic relationship in this series, it just depends I suppose. But yeah, you’ll start seeing some unrequited love/slightly romantic relationships pretty soon haha

Ah and I don’t want to talk about Nico since that’s a whole bag in and of itself.

Growing up he tried to get attention from his family mostly killua due killua being the heir.

That’s till he met you-

You were the same age or a lil bit older then him

You were running away from trouble as some men chased after you for stealing something-

You two bumped to each other as you apologised and rushed away.

Kalluto shrugged it off but he did have the wrong directions towards the men-

The second time you both met was when he was walking home and spotted you trying to steal some money

After that he’d see you more and more causing trouble and stealing stuff.

He got a little bit interested and decided to just watch from afar wich became stalking really quickly-

After some time stalking you he decided to just try to talk to you-so he goes straight to you no matter what ur doing like ur doing ur homework? Not anymore-

You somehow didn’t even flinch when you saw him appear from seemly nowhere.

You always felt like you were watched (I always feels like somebody’s watching me)

You two talk well actually you would talk and he would just listen to you rambling stuff to a total stranger-

You two slowly becomes friends without noticing.

It was until you showed him affection ( head pats, hugs , etc ) his Yandere tendencies came-

He would be actually pretty fast jealous he just doesn’t show it- like ur talking about someone? He’s already jealous so imagine hugging someone else-

This is a sad day for me. One of my favorite fic authors became a madam Yu stan 😭😭😭😭😭

Author was already sharing some questionable JC takes but I was willing to overlook them because -1) the majority of the Fandom has questionable takes about JC -2) author never writes fics about JC anyway, most their work is about a rarepair that I like

But now they shared a gifset of madam Ew and JC (In CQL no less) with the following tags:

#i love this moment 🥺 #i literally have no doubt that yzy loved jc very much #her anger wasn't directed at him but rather she was angry on his behalf #she wanted the best for him #so of course she would be angry to see him overshadowed and overlooked #especially when it was his own father neglecting him #also I love their blue and purple color scheme it's so pretty!

The problem is this author did read the novel (and they are a novel main even) and their analysis of other characters was mostly logical and well thought out, so I was willing to let them off on their questionable opinions on JC and the Lans (I understand many people don't agree with the lans' strictness and use of corporal punishment for discipline)

Now however, they're defending madam Ew which I cannot overlook. Me being a woman I can't wrap my head around madam Ew's actions as a mother and person in general. I mean what sane woman looks at an orphaned child who had to fend for himself on the streets since he was a toddler and doesn't feel her maternal instincts to protect and nurture the child go through the roof but instead decide beat this child with an electric whip for daring to be the son of a (dead) woman her husband may have had a crush on and also for daring to be a prodigy and more talented and popular than her mediocre unlikable son and also constantly slander and insult the child's dead parents to his face. To me madam Ew is the most revolting character in Mdzs (and that's a very high bar considering how despicable some of the other characters are) mostly because of the way she treated a vulnerable child in her care

I am afraid I will have to withdraw my support from this author even if I like their writing so much. I draw the line at Madam Ew stanning and child abuse apologism

She busts into a session of JFM trying to teach his son how to be a decent person for his future as a Clan leader and is like "did u forget this is ur son u don't even care u don't even pay attention to ME!!!... I mean him". Let's look at her words, what part of this is in the interest of her son:

WWX did nothing wrong ever except try to comfort jc and tell him he's not that bad bc all of this is true. Ofc JFM wishes he could leave the Clan in the hands of a decent person but he still fully plans on leaving it to jc. RSA- it’s established that the school doesn’t have houses but I’m wondering if there’s clubs like the ones that were put into hphm ( I’m playing the dragon club tlsq at the time of writing this so that’s why). Maybe that’s how they decide sports teams. One of my earlier ideas included the school having houses but the students could choose before realizing “oh wait, that’s just the clubs.” I wanted to include more about the sports teams before remembering that I have no knowledge of sports.

RSA- movie night at the school! Students gathering in each other’s dorms on the weekends. RSA- I mentioned a film club at the school in an earlier ask, and the students in that club working together to make a movie 👀? Their first film was a documentary about the school. Cherry and Mina showed up in the backgrounds of a few of the films (Cherry waved at the camera once). Sometimes actors with longer hair will ask for help from Penny on how to braid it, specifically the younger ones. They also film special events at the school like the anniversary dance.

hi yes please tell me more about a3!! is it a rhythm game bc i am VERY interested in the fact that theres a gnc guy in it but im only really able to dedicate myself to gacha games if theyre rhythm based :pensive:

it’s not rhythm unfortunately 😔 it’s too bad because this series has VERY AMAZING music and they really got their hands on ones of the best (imo) composers in the field (like yuyoyuppe or emon(tes) or hige driver <3) but it’s Sadly just a card collecting game like enstars (i feel you though, i can’t really get into mobage if they’re not rhythm either, it’s a miracle i still play a3 everyday-) :( if you can’t get into the game though, there’s a currently running anime :D it’s very ugly (compared to game art) but <3 i still love it <3 even if it’s not perfect haha

it promotes itself as an otome game but it’s Really not, it’s just a story heavy card collecting game you’re y/n [izumi] tachibana and you take over mankai (jp: full bloom) company after it’s about to be demolished because your father disappeared and failed to pay off the debt; your job is to bring the company back to its former glory as the director (and work as a personal therapist to all of your actors-) i’m sure you’ll like it if you like the found family trope, because the mankai company to everyone there is a place where they belong and feel safe there are 4 troupes in the company, each specializing in different play genre spring: altered versions of known stories (for example: romeo & juliet, the wizard of oz, some original stories following a similar vibe) summer: comedy (slapstick and tons of ad-lib) autumn: action (if there’s no fighting it’s not an autumn play-) winter: mature and serious stories, often tragic

it’s a really cute series that can get kinda serious at times (there are matters of abuse, child neglect, kidnapping+unconsented drug use, and death (off the top of my head) if that makes you uncomfortable)

the writing sure is flawed; masumi (obsessiveness portrayed as cute and funny), citron (making the only (?) character of color the butt of a joke---), how they portray their ND-coded charas like misumi and homare as jokes too, but i still think it’s possible to just ignore those aspects i mean............... not in MY canon-

the gnc guy is yuki rurikawa and he’s my fave <3 he’s a “crossdresser” (i don’t really like that word but that’s what he calls himself) who loves sewing and is the costume designer (aside from being an actor) for the company, he has a cute appearance but a sharp tongue and sassy attitude <3 he’s strong and mature for his age, if he wants something he’ll get it something i really like is that nobody in the company really questions or comments purely negatively about his choice of clothing, which is very refreshing another character that isn’t really gnc but Borderline Could Be is azuma yukishiro, who speaks in a very delicate and feminine manner and is said by some characters to “feel like a woman” <3 yuki even calls him “azu-nee” (big sister azu)

overall, if you don’t check out the game, i at least recommend you checking out the music because it’s honestly one of my favorite things about the series <3 all 24 characters have solo songs, group songs (4 troupes), plus each released play gets 1 to 2 play-themed songs and i think they’re all great (imo better than some idol-franchise music but not calling any names-)

if you need recs; my faves are

more on the rock side: just for myself, muddy hero, the contract, second shot

ballad-like: minority (yuki’s solo song; the lyrics are very lgbt-coded but we don’t get much of it in game), loner, monologue

other genres i can’t quite name??: susume pirates, exciting charmer (PLEASE consider tasuku hatanaka (who voices kumon) i’ve been absolutely obsessed with his vocals), mikansei na sora de, buzama, living the dream, shoutai, scarlet game, kiteretsu poemer (literally a musical masterpiece?? it’s so fun????)

hey Chana! A Kiss to Forever was such an interesting fic :0 tbh the ending is supposed to be sad(?) I think but honestly i was like yAY THEYRE FINALLY TOFETHER heh but also I LOVE LOVE the way you characterized Yoongi slowly warming up to OC 🥺 but aAAH you also stomped all over my heart near the end when OC couldn’t see Yoongi anymore for a while and the plants dying and his coat being left in the closet :,( random question though.. does OC’s mom get sad she kind of just disappears? 🌻

ooh thank you thank you! the ending of aktf, in my mind, is bittersweet. i think 22 is too young of an age to die (especially when yn never exactly experienced “real” life. she constantly lived in a little, enclosed bubble of sadness :(( ). but another part of me (like you) believes the ending is happy. yoongi and yn have always loved each other but they both knew it was forbidden—because death and life cannot possibly be together. i think we get the closure we deserve in the end, though! yn realizes that she’d rather just die than live without really living. that she’d always felt closer to death in a way. (she was destined to die at six years old. so she really stayed way past her welcome on earth LMAO)

i’m so glad you loved aktf!yoongi!! i spent a long time crafting his character. i wanted him to be a dark, brooding figure who is also gentlemanly and kind (much more than he’d like to admit). his love for yn feels almost a little instinctual. he knows it’s wrong and he hates himself for being interested in oc, but he can’t help himself and he continues to pursue her (with hoseok’s “blessing” LOL)

i think the saddest part of aktf is when yn ceases to see yoongi. another notable sad moment is when she finally realizes that she doesn’t belong on earth. she goes into a depressive episode and lets everything around her just... die (because it effectively represents her feelings inside.) unfortunately, the death of her surroundings includes her and yoongi’s plants *sobs.* it’s also quite melancholic that yn tries to forget about her encounters with death. (like you mentioned, yoongi’s coat becoming left in the depths of her closet.) she really tries everything to live. but maybe... she was destined to die

ANYWAYS! to answer your question!! (which i’d like to argue is important 😤😤 i’m glad you asked!) oc’s mother doesn’t make an appearance throughout the fic, and there’s a reason for that. she’s a good mother (or she provides the basic needs i.e. food, water, clothes), but she’s a bit on the permissive parent side (not much emotional support or discipline), while her father is totally abusive and uninvolved. oc and her mother are never too close. oc’s mother is dealing with the after effects of being in an abusive relationship with oc’s father. and oc has yoongi to keep her company, to be her solace. but to put shortly, yes, oc’s mother will be sad that oc dies. i mean, what real mother wouldn’t be? (but her body doesn’t disappear. so i imagine specialists having to do an autopsy. or not. maybe they’ll rule her death as a heart attack and call it a day.) either way, i pity oc’s mother more. i mean, imagine being in an abusive relationship, getting a divorce and being barred from keeping your child because of the inherently misogynistic court system. then, imagine after you regain rightful custody of your child (after find out your abuser is dead???), you don’t feel complete. because 1. the guilt of being a ‘bad mother.’ 2. the burden of taking care of a child all the while trying to heal your own mental health 3. not being too close with your daughter because you haven’t seen her in so long and don’t know what to do to talk to her,,, so you just let the ties loose until the two of you barely talk. and after all that, imagine coming home to your 22-year-old daughter dead on the floor of her room. i can’t even fathom what kind of mental trauma oc’s mother has to go through. the story’s not about her though, or else it would’ve been MUCH more depressing. anyways, thanks for asking such an interesting question! i love talking more about side characters because i often create stories for them inside my head but i rarely share them lmfao
