(Disclaimer with a 2.2 trailer/livestream spoiler: I’m aware that she isn’t actually dead, but this is made in mind with Sunday who doesn’t know that.)

No mentioned gender for reader.

Writing under the cut (SFW):

“My baby, my baby. You’re my baby say it to me.”

Cradled in your arms he cannot even cry. He feels empty and lost. Sunday… what use is the name Sunday if there is no Robin to call after him? He failed her. Her, the one who shone so brightly in his life.

He can remember every birthday, every scrape, every “good morning” and “good night”. He can remember every “I love you”. Thinking about these memories, holding that light cone with a moment in time held so dear trapped within it’s frame- It fills the emptiness with something.

Sunday tightens his grip on you, fingers twisting in the back of your shirt as a silent sob wracks his body.

Anguish.

That is the name of the emotion that colors his empty insides with dark and dreary hues of blues and blacks; his heart with the color of life as it bleeds in her absence.

You pet the back of his head, holding him back just as tightly as he finally allows himself to fall apart in only the company of solitude and you. The seraph finally allows his wings to rest. The figurehead finally takes off the perfect mask.

“Why did it have to be her?” He can’t understand how this happened. How could his lovely, perfect sister be gone?

“I don’t know. I’m sorry, Sunday,” is all you can say. But that much is enough. He lets his tears wet your shoulder as he hides away from the reality of her death and the world. He’s grateful you’re here at least. In the back of his mind that’s fracturing and breaking to pieces, he wonders what he’d do if he didn’t even have you to hold him together. Would he fall apart? Lose himself entirely?

A dash of gratitude and love colors his bleakness in a splash of warm pinks and oranges- Like the sunset he watched with you in the dreamscape not too long ago.

She was everything before he met you. Being the older brother, she was like his first child. He can remember looking at her tiny, chubby face when she was still too young to talk, and thinking- “This is my baby sister.” He was supposed to take care of her- protect her.

Thinking of how someone killed her in cold blood and made those starlight eyes close forever… Deep reds formed.

Anger.

He would force the criminal into the light and bring about retribution for their evil.

“Will you help me?”

He asked, eyes almost manic and wings spread; looking almost like an angry, vengeful fallen angel in that moment.

You took his hand and he smiled, leaning down to kiss the hand that accepted his.

“Thank you, my love.”

I wanted to include how every older sibling’s first child is their baby sibling, lololol. And just. I can’t imagine how much grief he had to have been going through. OTL

Please note that my opinion of Aventurine has completely changed due to the new update, so he will be a much nicer man this time around

-Aventurine and Dr. Ratio when pregnant reader runs away-

Aventurine: You never had the chance to actually discuss how you both felt about having children, he’s always seemed so career focused to you, when he talked about your future it was always just the two of you in his vision, he never mentioned anything about kids. Maybe it was a little rash but…you were genuinely scared. He had a demanding and dangerous job…throwing a kid into the mix just seemed like it would be too much. So in a way you thought you were doing what you had to do for him by running away…he comes home from work, sees your little note on the refrigerator about how you had to leave and that he shouldn’t bother searching for you. But of course he’s going to look for you.

Aventurine is a calm, calculating man. He doesn’t panic. He knows you wouldn’t have just left him without reason. And the possibility of an accidental pregnancy might even cross his mind…

Hiding from the IPC…really not quite possible if you thought about it.

He exhausts all his resources into finding you, not really caring what that could mean for his position. He just wants you back. Wants to make sure you’re safe and taken care of and even if you don’t want to be with him anymore. He needs that closure at least.

You know a bit about how the IPC operates, given your boyfriend is a prominent part of it, so you do manage to stay hidden for longer than even you were suspecting.

When he does find you, you’re hiding on some small, forgettable moon, the equivalent of a tiny, uninteresting town. He visits this moon alone and explores it himself, asking around with your picture, looking for you. Doesn’t take long to find you on a tiny moon like this one.

You’re in a bookstore, sitting all alone, flipping through a parenting book, and visibly pregnant.

Has it been that long already…? You catch sight of him out of the corner of your eye, you would recognize a suit like that from anywhere. And when you look up, there he is, those pretty eyes of his tinged with something bittersweet. He found you, but you had run away from him in the first place.

“May I sit here?” he asks so politely, and you look away, unable to look him in the eye anymore.

But you nod. He sits across from you, and you stare at the book, and he knows you’re not reading, just in desperate need of something else to look at.

He knows why you did it. He can figure it out. He’s not stupid. He knows he has to be gentle with you. He genuinely wants to have a conversation with you, prove to you that he would LOVE any child the two of you have together. He’s good at pretending he wasn’t hurt by you thinking he wouldn’t want his own baby, but in a way he knows he can’t blame you. The two of you really didn’t ever discuss it, and he DID have a very demanding job…it’s just a shame that a lack of communication between the two of you led to this. He wants you to come back home with him, and he wants you to know you can trust him with anything, but ESPECIALLY his own child. He just wants to show you. He’s much more of a family man than you would’ve expected, just give him a chance.

Dr. Ratio: Your husband had been prone to anger and irritability for literally as long as you had known him. He liked things to be planned, he liked to be in control of the situation…he picks up on the little signs before even you do…he is a Doctor, after all, but before he can get the opportunity to confront you about it, you run away. You genuinely thought he wouldn’t want the baby…he’s a busy man, you know his personality well…he didn’t have a particular fondness for children and he didn’t hide that fact.

He cannot believe how immature and childish you’re being over this whole thing. What, you think he can’t handle the idea of being a father? So you RUN AWAY from him? It’s illogical and completely naive of you. He doesn’t even bother with contacting anyone to see if they’ve seen you. He knows where you’d run.

And he finds you exactly where he thought he would. Just staying at a friend’s place. You were So predictable.

It doesn’t take too long before you’re forced to confront your husband.

You can tell he’s extraordinarily upset at you right now, but for whatever reason he holds back. Maybe for once he understands the delicate nature of the situation…

He is Very disappointed in you, disturbed that you would really run away from him over an accidental pregnancy.

You can TELL how angry he is despite how calm he’s trying to be when he explains that even if he had no interest in having the child himself, he wasn’t going to just let you raise his baby on your own, given that the two of you had been together for a very long time, and at this point he was willing to do most anything for you. And he wasn’t going to ignore the responsibility he had now that he was going to be a father. He was responsible for his own actions. Surely you knew at least that much about him.

So yes, he does expect you to return home with him. He’s your husband and it was only proper for him to take care of his family. And given you’re his partner he genuinely expects that the two of you will talk about this and figure this out.

He may be a bit harsh sometimes, but really he does have your best interest in mind when he’s firm with you. You can already tell he’s going to be a strict father…

Ratio is quite a lofty name to bear, it’s a lot of pressure for a child…but you and Veritas are working together on this, you do think you’re pretty well-rounded at parenting together…

Though you can tell Veritas is pretty uncertain about the future, it definitely weighs on his mind while he waits for the baby to be born. He genuinely does want the best for you and the baby, but this is a completely new experience for him. It doesn’t help that he expects himself to be perfect at this sort of thing…you do believe he’ll adjust eventually, but for now you’ll be dealing with a very uptight, by the book husband, haha…

I really love your hsr men fic when they accidentally get their s/o pregnant! I'd like to request the same but instead of telling them, how about s/o ran away from them after she knows she's pregnant because she thought they never want a child?

Wants to know what he did wrong, how he hurt you, Anything and Everything that he did to chase you away. Safe to say he searches for you. He sticks with the Astral Express crew, but suddenly he’s very hands-on with every mission. He wants to go to each new world, with your picture, asking about you, about what happened to you, but he can’t find ANYTHING. It’s like you’ve vanished from the universe. Dan Heng, March 7th and Himeko also pitch in, but there’s no sign of you. The others notice how distressed he is, but he does his best to remain calm and collected, for your sake. He doesn’t want to lose himself. He can’t afford to lose himself. Then he might never find you…

Sampo Koski: Receives the news from Natasha that as soon as you found out you were pregnant, you vanished from the clinic. She tells him the truth of course, it shouldn’t be hidden from the father, and he realizes right then and there why you’d run away. Oh he feels so bad. He didn’t mean to chase you away like that. You asked him about kids once and he made his stance clear that he hated kids, didn’t want anything to do with them. And that’s why you ran, isn’t it? You were scared of what he would do and say once he found out? He doesn’t stop looking for you, but his life has to go on. He mentions you to all his clients, he has a photo of you in his wallet, and eventually time passes and now he mentions that you might have a kid with you. As scared as he is to admit it, he can’t find you anywhere, and he just has to hope you’re safe. But he doesn’t give up that one day he’ll see you again…

Jing Yuan: is terrified to wake up and find you not in bed, nowhere in the house, or in the gardens. He immediately alerts Yanqing and assembles the Cloud Knights for a search and rescue. Oh he’s scared. You’d never just…disappear like that, right? Something happened to you! You must’ve been kidnapped or something awful like that. He doesn’t give up his search for you. He leads it personally, and the search goes on for weeks until he finally has to disassemble the cloud knights for other duties. Him and Yanqing don’t give up though. They even go door to door looking for you, not giving up hope that someday they’ll be reunited with you. Eventually he HAS to return to his duties as General, but he uses up all his free time to track your last known movements and continue his search for you, not willing to just let you go like that. Not ready to give up on you, and the belief that he can find you…

Gepard Landau: like Jing Yuan, he immediately assumes the worst when he can’t find you. You’ve been hurt, attacked, kidnapped or something! He gets permission, and then assembles the Silvermane guards to find you. He puts missing person posters up around the city and the underground (oh my gosh imagine if he drew them himself I’m crying) and he’s determined to find you, offering a promotion to whoever returns you to him. He so, so badly hopes you’re safe wherever you are. He even begs Wildfire for their help in finding you. And when you don’t turn up after the first day, he genuinely begins to panic. He doesn’t know where you could be. Or even why you disappeared, and the thought that something awful happened to you scares him the most…

Luocha: Luocha at first, stays calm and collected when he wakes up that morning and can’t find you anywhere. He just assumed you’ve decided to take a nice walk or something. But you don’t return to him. Now he’s afraid. He uses his merchant contacts to ask around about you, and nothing comes up. He begins to search on his own, trying to start logically, like places you were more likely to be or maybe you’ve been to. But nothing seems to work. He can’t find you anywhere. Now he’s panicked. Why would you just…leave him like that without a word? Were you safe? Were you alright? Right as he begins to really feel the panic sink in, he receives a text from you. “I’m sorry. But I’m safe. Please don’t look for me.” Well. That’s a relief. But he’s afraid he can’t promise he won’t look for you. He tries asking you where you are but you stop answering his texts, and he’s left all alone again, trying to piece together where you might be. He’s not just going to give up on you just like that. He wants to know what he’s done wrong, and he’s determined to find you in hopes that the two of you can work this out…

Not giving up on that Pixel is a simp tag I see, lol. You guys see how Roro tricks me into writing?? And I fall for it?? Of COURSE I have thoughts about my other men and I’ll tell you them right now.

Gepard Landau: ok literally how could you?? He was probably working his hard stressful job all day and now you’re asking him for a glass of water in the middle of the night??? And yet like a dutiful husband he gets up without complaint and gets you a glass of water, you monster.

Caelus: so cuteee how could you wake up the sleepy boy?? I bet he’s a really heavy sleeper too, you must be determined to not get out of bed and have him get you a glass of water. I think it’s probably 50/50 if he gets up for you. You watch him hesitantly roll out of bed and grab his bat so he’s armed for his mission to the kitchen??? You don’t understand your boyfriend sometimes but HEY a glass of water!!

Luocha: He’d just get up and get you a glass of water, lol.

Welt Yang: Might let out a little sigh, but he’ll get up and get you a glass of water. How could you do that to him though???

Boothill: ok first of all I feel like it’d be really hard to wake him up in the first place lol. You probably have to push him out of the bed to wake him up, but now he’s Definitely not getting you a glass of water >:( Kinda just gives you a “WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH YOU, CUTIE?!” Though I bet arguing with him is kinda funny since he can’t curse…

Also ok I’ve seen a few people mention Luka in the tags and UGH he is so criminally underrated so I want to talk about him getting you a glass of water some more.

Ok hear me out on this…

He kinda sleeps like a starfish, all spread out. You’ve long gotten used to barely having any room on the bed for yourself, but it’s not so hard to cuddle with him given he takes off the prosthetic arm for bed.

He’s kinda a heavy sleeper so if you’re really determined to wake him up you’ll be shaking him and saying his name a LOT…He wakes up pretty slowly, blinking at you all confused because he doesn’t think the two of you are in any danger, and he’s very confident he didn’t oversleep or anything. You’re just waking him up for some reason…

“Luka…I really need a glass of water…”

“Huh?”

“Do you think you could get me a glass? Please?”

He looks over at the clock real quick. 2:14 in the morning.

“Yeah…yeah, okay, sure…one sec.”

You do feel a little guilty watching him very tiredly slide out of bed and stumble towards the kitchen. He is SLEEPY and just wants to go BACK to sleep, but a glass of water isn’t a hard demand, so he’ll do it for you.

He gets back, hands you the glass of water, and when you look back up at him you can see his eyes are practically shut while he’s standing there waiting to see if you need anything else.

“You can go back to sleep now, thank you!” you say, downing the entire glass.

He flops back onto the bed, letting out a yawn, and doing a big stretch. Then he’s right back to sleeping, all spread out, his real hand gently clutching onto your wrist…you wondered if he did it on purpose or if it was fully subconscious at this point.

You reach over and run your fingers through his red hair, feeling a little bit bad about making him get up for you.

Especially given you already needed another glass of water. Maybe you should just get up and get it for yourself at this point?? You can’t keep waking up your sweetheart Luka, even though you knew he probably wouldn’t really complain about getting you water.

Argenti: You’ll end up feeling a little bit bad if you ask him, because this man will go ALL OUT. Maybe someday he will learn to do things with moderation, but probably not. He gets up immediately for you, brings you back a fancy glass of water??? With fruit in it and everything. Awww, Argenti you didn’t have to do that…but he insists that of course it’s no big deal, especially if it’s for you. He’s so sweet.

Sampo Koski: he’s the one begging you to get up and get him a glass of water in the middle of the night, let’s be real.

Blade: Honestly I think he would just get up and get you that glass of water because he does NOT want to listen to your nagging, haha…

Luka: Of course he’ll do that for you, he’s such a sweetheart. He’s a little confused that you’d wake him up for that, but he’ll crawl out of bed while rubbing his eyes and then get you a glass of water. So cute how he can just fall back asleep immediately after his little mission…he’s so precious…

Jing Yuan: A man wise enough to expect your request for water in the middle of the night. “Already on your nightstand, my dear,” and you look over and sure enough he already had a glass of water for you?! How did he know???

Ok so ever since I started playing HSR, I’ve had some weird AF luck; like whenever I pull for any of the ladies the 1st time, I’ve always lost the 50/50 or have to use my guarantee to get them (which I’ve had to do for Jingliu and Sparkle). But when I pull for the men?? BOOM! They appear in my guarantees or I’ve won the 50/50 for them (I won Blade on my 1st 10 pull after I got guaranteed Luocha, and I won his E1, how tf-)

Then this banner comes along OwO My mind goes ‘oh I’m gonna lose Acheron, so surely I’ll guarantee myself Aventurine like usual’. NO SOONER DID I SAY THAT THAT ACHERON BROKE MY ‘CURSE’ BY WINNING MY 50/50! AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, AVENTURINE WON MY NEXT 50/50 30 (I think) PULLS LATER AND CONTINUED THE GAG WITHOUT ME LOSING A THING XDDD

One of my personal favorite “coin tricks” I remember being shown was how to turn a coin into a piece of candy, I bet he knows that one, lol. Kids love that one.

Reader who just can’t get it right until it gets to the point where he’s literally holding your hands and showing you step by step how to do the trick by moving your fingers for you. Ugh. Him. Bonus points if it’s one of those moments when he realizes just how touch starved he really is…

NO BUT I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA MELT DURING THE SCENE IN 2.0 WHEN HE PLAYED HIS COIN TRICK AND IT WAS IN TRAILBLAZER'S HAND. THAT ENTIRE CUT SCENE JUST - STOP IT AVEN.

(actually been kinda crushing on him since his leaked model, then his voice in the quest with Topaz, then the official image of his lightcone, this man had a hard grip on me from the start)

I hate to say it, but I was one of the people who didn’t reaaaally like him until 2.1. Like- I was starting to get there because Pixel could NOT stop YAPPIN about him and by way of friend serotonin and talking about him, I slowly started to be like “well now wait a minute-“

Being so fr right now I wasn’t even thinking “wow hot” during that scene I was just like. “AYO WHY IS HE WALKIN AT ME LIKE THAT CEASE AND DESIST-“

I was ong telling Pix that I was gonna drown him in the dreampool for pullin up on me like that. 😂

But now I like him hehehe~ (But it was still satisfying to beat the bricks off of him in thag boss battle-//SHOT)

Anyways a little snippet-

I think he’d learn new coin twirling moves and small magician tricks to entertain you. And he’d always get this grin on his face when you laughed and applauded his fun tricks.

He’d eventually (after much begging and more than a few kisses) teach you a few of these tricks. Whether it was how to twirl a coin between your fingers or the art of misdirection when messing with the location of the coin to make it seem as though it disappeared.

Now it was his turn to applaud you and reward your efforts with a kiss of his own. He just thinks you’re so cute. 🫶
