I just read through all the demo and it's all so great but I can't get this stupid scene out of my head:

Rin pushing a significantly taller MC into an alley to have a quick make out session, already sucking a hickey into MC's neck.

Then they hear a "Hey!"

And they turn and there's uncle Luka and Jackal in the exact same position with Jackal pinning Luka to the wall. Luka's red like a lobster, and his turtleneck is pushed down so they can clearly see the hickeys adorning his throat.

Both MC and Luka are stuck staring at each other like deers in the headlights.

Jackal just goes, "We had this alley first, go get your own."

The Morozov family has a type, and apperantly it's it's a short Dom bottom.

I got this thought in my head, later on in a mc/ash/rin poly, when they're all sleeping in the same bed together, and rin and ash both think they're hugging the mc, but then they realise they're hugging eachother and not the mc, how would they react? Would they be normal about it and continue hugging, or would they be like UGH and shift back to original position or something?

The latter one 😂 Once they both realize, they’d shoot each other a side-eye before rolling back to their original positions.

would the story completely change IF Yvette (mc's mom) decided to just choose Viktor and mc instead of her job? Like, the story goes as follows with Viktor sadly passing. But would things be a tad different if Yvette's there? Just been really curious about what if's, and hoping what's your thought on that! ^^

Ooohhh 🤔 So, Viktor still died the same way he did in the story currently? The answer is yes and no at the same time. Also, I'm assuming that Yvette is still working as a Superhero, but she's not as focused on it and it's not her main priority anymore.

I think the most different thing will be that she’ll have pretty decent relationships with both Luka and Grandpa, and MC will still be mostly raised by Yvette with Luka helping.

Also, Luka and Grandpa will insist for Yvette and MC to either move in with Luka at the family compound for both of their safety. They will also try to persuade Yvette to quit her career, but she won't because she doesn't want to be fully at the mercy of the Morozovs financially.

Cara will most likely still end up dying and Luka will become their legal guardian like in the story right now. Ash and MC will still spend almost every waking hour together from living in the family compound together.

Now, whether your MC is still thirsting for vengeance or justice, or whether they have found peace with their father's death throughout the years, it depends on your MC's personality and values, I suppose. And yes, I believe with a mother figure still around (especially one whose an Empath), MC will have the chance to cope better and healthier.

Yvette herself has always struggled on whether to seek vengeance like the rest of the Morozovs or just coming into terms with Viktor's passing. In the end, she will not actively seeking revenge, but will not mind helping and even participate if the opportunity presents itself.

But since Yvette is still a superhero, she might still end up being targeted by the Nemesis Project. So, in the end, MC will still be pursuing the leader--if not to avenge their father, then to protect their mom, or maybe both at the same time.

Well, this might be the last questions relating to the infamous hickey ask I’ll answer for now. This is assuming the poly has not come into their minds yet 😈

Ash

Ash sees them entering the room together. MC is ducking their head sheepishly while Rin is walking beside them, a shit-eating smirk, pointing at MC’s neck.

Huh, what’s wrong with MC’s throat? They squint their eyes and finally see it. Marks. Ash’s heart sinks and it feels as if the floor has been pulled beneath their feet. They don’t even need to ask to know what marks those are.

Rin is laughing—a rarity—at something MC says, and MC’s face turns even redder. Suddenly, it feels hard to breathe and Ash only has one thing in their mind: They have to get away from here.

Quickly, they duck out of the room before MC or Rin can catch a glimpse of them. Their mind is racing a thousand miles a minute and their heart is pumping hard from the stress. They feel sick.

They’ve had suspicions that Rin has feelings for MC ever since they were all kids. Rin smiles too much around MC. But they never thought that they and MC would… would really get together… before Ash can even confess their feelings to MC as well.

Ash should’ve shot their shot. What if MC had feelings for them too? Then… that means it’s Ash’s fault for not trying to confess earlier.

Aargh! Stupid, stupid, Ash! Now, it’s too late! You’ve fucked up your chances and you have no one to blame but yourself!

But at least… at the very least… it’s Rin, right? Rin is smart and the marriage with MC would mean a tighter alliance and better future for both the Morozov and the Aikawa. It’s just… perfect, like it’s meant to be.

MC seems happy too and that’s all that matters to Ash. But they can’t deny, it still hurts. A lot. And they’re not sure how long it would take for them to fully recover from this—if it’s even possible.

Rin

Rin hears the commotion first and as they turn from looking out the panoramic window at the cityscape beyond, they see Ash and MC walking into the room.

MC is strutting in confidently while Ash trails beside them, a fabric in their hands and they seem to fuss over MC, trying to get them to wear the scarf, face tomato red.

Huh, what are those two up to again? They squint their eyes and they finally notice it. Love bites. On MC’s throat. Oh…

Their heart clenches painfully in their chest and they feel cold all over. Fuck… It’s not really a feeling they’ve felt so acutely before. Heartbreak. Jealousy. They are aware of them, of course, but they had been lucky enough to have never experienced them before this.

But now that they feel it for the first time, they kinda wish they never fell in love at all. Rin knows deep inside that their feelings for MC just kept growing despite their best efforts to bury it deep down—a small secret act of rebellion against his father.

Maybe they shouldn’t have done that. Maybe they shouldn’t have played hard-to-get for so long. Maybe they should have shown clearer interest in MC. Maybe… Maybe they should’ve known that MC and Ash would’ve gotten together eventually. It doesn’t take a precog to predict that.

They’ve seen Ash’s crush on MC ever since they were all kids. It’s a miracle it takes this long for them to get together—all those times, wasted opportunity. Rin couldn’t even truly be mad at Ash for this outcome. Sometimes, you wonder whether Ash would be willing to share…

Ash and MC are approaching them, taking their mind off the bitter thoughts, but the turmoil is still there roiling inside their head. For a second, they consider just turning around and walking away, but decide to try act casual instead.

It’s hard when your heart is breaking and you feel sick to your stomach from self-hatred over the irreversible mistakes they’ve made. But they steel themself, clenching their fists and taking in a shaky breath. I can do this, they think as they plaster on a little smirk on their face that feels too similar to a grimace.

Okay... Every. Single. Time. I see the hickey ask on an IF blog I follow, I feel the NEED to post this follow up:

What if very shortly after that, the ROs catch / hear the MC asking someone (or even if the MC asks THEM, depending on the context) if they have something to soothe mild allergic reactions to mosquito bites, because they got one on their neck.

So basically, how would they react when faced to the reveal it wasn't a hickey at all but a dumb mosquito bite!

Here goes out to all of you hickey anons and non-anons 🤭❤️ Also, the link to the infamous hickey ask is here for those who haven’t read it!

Ash

“Wait, wait, Ash!” They hear MC calls out to them and they stop in place. Oh, how they just want to bolt away from this nightmare, but maybe this is also a chance to just face it head-on.

“Ash, what’s wrong?” MC asks as Ash turns around to face them. Ash doesn’t really know what kind of face they’re wearing right now.

“Who was it, MC?” They ask, voice hoarse.

“Who, what?” MC asks in genuine confusion, which just irritates Ash even more.

“The one—The one who gave you… those marks!” They gesture at MC’s neck.

MC’s eyes widen. “What?! No! Nobody gave me these marks. These are goddamn mosquito bites,” MC explains as they scratch their neck. “I swear once I get my hands on those bastards…” They mutter under their breath.

Ash just stands there dumbfounded. “M—Mosquitoes?” Those are not… They glance down and just notice MC is holding a can of bug spray. Oh… Oh no… How could you think the worst of MC, Ash?

“Yeah, pesky bastards. Don’t tell me you didn’t have any in your room last night?” MC says, scanning Ash up and down for a second before concluding, “Oh, you didn’t, don’t you?”

“N—No,” Ash replies truthfully.

“Motherfuckers probably thought your blood is too hot to drink or something,” MC mumbles irritatedly. “Well, I’m gonna spray the whole penthouse now, if you don’t mind.” MC raises the can in their hand like a weapon.

“Uh… Yeah, please do that,” Ash says stupidly. “And, uh… Just forgot what I said earlier…” A surge of relief washes through their whole body, but it soon gets tainted by embarrassment.

“Aww, were you jealous?” MC smirks teasingly.

“Uh—Um…” Ash stammers. “I—I gotta go! See you later, MC!” They splutter in panic before bolting away for real this time.

Oh my God, MC is not gonna let them live this down, won’t they…

Rin

Rin decides not to embarrass themself further and chooses to just ignore MC, pretending not to see or notice them entering the room. They’re not going to lower themself to ask MC about the marks.

Honestly, they’d rather MC leave them alone for now. But of course, the opposite of what they want always happen. They groan inwardly as they see MC walking over to where they’re standing from the corner of their eye.

They steel themself for an unwanted conversation. They’re good at that.

“Hey, Rin,” MC greets them and they just grunt softly in reply. MC doesn’t even notice their curt reply, seemingly distracted by something else.

Oh, I bet their mind is still filled by whatever happened last night…

“Uh, this might be a weird question,” MC begins sheepishly as Rin just keeps staring at them unamusedly. “But, do you know any kind of salve or medicine that can help with these mosquito bites?” They ask, scratching at the marks on their neck.

Rin blinks. There’s no way that excuse would work on them. “Really?” They reply skeptically as they gesture at MC’s neck. “You’re bitten by mosquitoes in your penthouse?”

“I know right? I don’t even know how they managed to get in considering my penthouse is like… at the top floor of a skyscraper,” MC agrees, missing the point Rin is insinuating. “Probably through the elevator or the air vent or something. Anyway, Uncle Luka said he’ll personally get a professional pest extermination service to deal with that.”

Well, Rin did catch their father talking with Luka on the phone about choices of professional pest extermination services available in the city. For some reason, Luka asked their dad as if he knows anything more about it than Luka does. Maybe MC is telling the truth and it’s their paranoia and distrust running rampant once again…

Rin uncrosses their arms—when did they even cross them in the first place? “Uh… Tiger balm works wonder for bug bites,” Rin advises.

“Tiger balm, huh?” MC repeats. “Alright, I’ll just go get it at the nearest drug store. Be right back,” they say before swiftly making their way to the elevator.

Meanwhile Rin is left standing there, still processing what has just happened in the span of a few minutes.

Santana

“Hey, Santana!” MC greets them as they walk over to where Santana is standing.

Santana is already cringing inside at the potential awkwardness of the conversation. They’ll still try their best to try talk normally with MC, but it’s kinda hard with the hickeys still heavy in their mind.

“Um… Hi, MC,” they greet back cordially.

“So, how was your night? Had enough sleep?” MC asks them.

“Well, like usual,” they answer distractedly. “How about you? Seems like you had a wild night…” They gesture at the general direction of MC’s neck.

Oh my God, Santana! What the heck are you doing? Asking about the thing you wanted to avoid talking in the first place?! You idiot!

“Oh, you won’t believe this,” MC begins enthusiastically. “So, I was sleeping pretty soundly for like half the night, before my neck started to feel really itchy. I kept getting dragged out of sleep as I scratched at it. Woke up the next morning, and lo and behold, I just got frickin bitten by the most vicious mosquitoes of Elysium City,” they complain, tilting their head a bit to show them of the “hickeys” which turn out to be mosquito bites.

“Huh?” Santana remarks intelligently as they stare at the marks. Okay, now that they can see them better and closer, they do seem like bug bites instead of hickeys.

“I know right?” MC agrees, with… what? Santana is not sure because their mind is blank right now. “Don’t ask me how the mosquitoes managed to break into my penthouse, which, mind you, is located at the top of a skyscraper.”

“That… That is indeed weird,” Santana replies, chuckling in a mix of amusement and relief. It seems like their fear is unfounded after all.

MC continues their rant about the pesky mosquitoes and their plan on eradicating them from their penthouse. Santana just smiles softly as they listen to every word.

Skylar

Skylar quickly makes their way to MC before anyone else manage to make a conversation with them. MC stops in their track as they notice Skylar approaching.

“Hey, MC!” Skylar greets in faux-cheeriness.

“Oh, hey, Skylar,” MC greets back. “What’s up?”

“Well, I should be the one asking you that,” Skylar says, the grin on their face feels very strained but they hope it won’t show and that it still looks charming on the surface. “Who’s the lucky person?” They ask straight to the point, gesturing at the general area of MC’s neck.

“Certainly not me,” MC groans as they rub at their neck. “Just had one of the worst nights of the month.”

“Oh?” Skylar prompts, hopefulness crammed into that one single sound.

Inside, they’re gleeful though. It seems like whoever MC was sleeping with last night must’ve sucked balls—no possible pun intended. Well, this is their time to shine! Skylar would be more than happy to show MC how it’s really done!

“Yeah! I kept waking up at the middle of the night because these annoying mosquito bites were so damn itchy!” MC complains, scratching at their neck again.

Skylar nods before stopping. Wait, what? Mosquito bites? “What?” They ask, dumbfounded. The marks… they’re not…

MC doesn’t seem to notice Skylar’s confusion as they continue ranting, “I don’t even know how they managed to get in! My penthouse is located at the top of a fricking skyscraper!”

A sense of relief floods through Skylar, and their strained grin has shifted into a mischievous one. “Well, I know of a remedy to help with the bites.”

“Wait, really?” MC looks at them curiously. “What’s that?”

“I heard kisses can work wonder.” Skylar winks before pursing their lips and making kissy noises. “I’m always available to help, you know. Just give me a call whenever you’re ready.”

Skylar can practically see the blood surging up to MC’s cheeks. “Y—You—” they stammer. “You idiot! T—That’s not real! If you’re not going to help, then I’ll go to buy some real medicine for these bites instead!” MC harrumphs adorably, turning away to walk to the elevator.

Aww, MC is soo cute! It makes Skylar feels warm and gooey inside as they chuckle to themself. “Well, my offer will always be open! Whether you have more bug bites in the future or not!” They call out to MC’s receding back.

MC doesn’t even turn and just flips them the middle finger instead before stepping inside the elevator. Oh, they love MC.

I’m suddenly reminded of the whole hickey ask fiasco that happened around a year ago 😂 It all started with this ask.

I’ll reblog the other follow-up asks as well 🤭 So those who miss them can see the whole saga.

Ros, reaction if they saw a hickey on the mc ( crush stage)

Ash

They freeze in place, every other thought processes in their head stop as they focus on the marks on MC’s neck. Those… Those are not what they think they are, right?

…Who are they kidding? With the realization and acceptance, comes the wave of nausea. They feel sick and they’re having a hard time breathing, as if they’ve been punched in the stomach.

As a pyrokinetic, they have never really felt the effects of extreme temperatures, but right now they feel hot and cold inside at the same time—at least this must be how it feels for other people. They’re burning from rage and jealousy, the fire only slightly doused by the heartbreak and regret.

MC greets them with a beautiful smile and they try to put on a smile, but even they can feel it twists into a grimace instead. MC frowns in concern and they already know they’re going to ask them what’s wrong. But before that can happen, they quickly excuse themself and stride away as fast they can.

You’re such a coward, Ash. You run away from your problem once again…

Rin

As soon as their perceptive eyes notice the marks, they feel such a strong mix of emotions that they’ve never really felt before. They manage to keep their composure on the outside but barely.

Jealousy, disappointment, bitterness, betrayal, heartbreak, all run rampant in them, making them feel sick. They don’t like this and their current attempts to squash down these pesky feelings fail.

They should’ve known not to naïvely open their heart to anyone that quick, even someone they’ve known for a long time like MC. You’re really sure that something was budding between you and MC. Seems like you’re wrong.

They still can’t decide on whether to try confront MC about the marks calmly or to give MC the cold shoulder until MC asks them what’s wrong.

Santana

They feel crushed and disappointed. There’s no other way to put it. Of course, MC was not serious. They could’ve had anyone in this city that they want, why choose an insignificant, overworked detective in the ECPD.

They don’t hold it against MC, though. Them and MC were not even formally dating. Just a series of flirtations here and there, nothing serious, but enough to get their hopes up. Well, it was nice while it lasted.

Skylar

They try not to show it outside, still grinning and keeping up the unbothered experience. But there’s no lying, it stings. They feel a bit jealous and disappointed and kinda hurt.

Does MC lose interest in them? Maybe all the flirtations were nothing but non-serious teasings and they’re just misreading MC’s actions? They kinda doubt that.

But not all hopes are lost. Honestly, they kinda understand if MC was just hooking up with someone. They don’t really have any right to stop MC from doing that considering they’re not officially a couple yet. Maybe MC is still interested in having a more serious relationship with them?

For their sanity, it’s better to get the clear cut answer with MC now. If there’s really nothing between them, then they can still be friends and get on with their lives. But if there’s something indeed, then they won’t give up on MC that easily.

Sauntering over to where MC is standing, they steel themself to ask MC frankly. It might be a good idea to frame the question lightheartedly as well, despite what they’re feeling inside.

Hello, since I'm on a superpower-themed movie marathon I'd like to ask a few things that came to my mind lol:

Which superpower would the family members have liked to have instead of their current one? (i suspect granpa is pretty happy with his own and wouldnt even think about changing it though lol)

And do you mind giving us a little snippet of the first thing each of them did as soon as they got their powers/realized what they could do?

Oooh interesting! Lemme see 🤔

Ash: They're pretty satisfied with their Pyrokinesis, although the edgier side of them thinks MC's Umbrakinesis is cool af.

Rin: They really like their Precognition ability, despite it often giving them headaches. It's an acceptable price for being able to plan ahead for various possibilities. If they have to pick another ability though, it'll probably be Telepathy.

Santana: Oh, yes, please. They're not really a big fan of their ability; the only thing they like from it is the possibility of helping some cases as a detective. But if they can pick another ability, it will probably be Healing ability. They love helping people and maybe in another universe, they would've ended up getting into the medical profession.

Skylar: Nah, they're completely satisfied with the Flight and Density Manipulation abilities they have right now.

Luka: His blinking and teleporting ability is good (especially when he's feeling lazy ), but ngl, he would've preferred Haemokinesis like Jackal's; it's an insanely strong ability.

Grandpa: As you've expected, he's perfectly content with his Compulsion ability. But, if he had to pick one other than that, it would probably be MC's gravikinesis. Just imagine how scary he would be with that 😣

Viktor: As much as his Power Duplication power is pretty unique and can sometimes be useful in disabling others' abilities for a while, he'd be lying if he had never hoped to have a more normal ability of his own that he can cultivate and now every aspect of. One of the powers he had always imagined having is Flight. Imagine all the pictures he could take with that!

Grandma: Cryokinesis is good for intimidation factor, but honestly, she would've preferred an ability that'll be more useful for negotiations and discussions that she often did on behalf of Grandpa. Probably Empathy or Telepathy; she would've had people wrapped around her fingers with those.

Cara: She loves her Doppelgänger ability and probably won't change it for anything else. But she has always wondered how it feels to copy abilities instead like Viktor.

How about your MC, what power would they be interested in if they can choose one? 🤔

the ash confession scene was so cute 🥺 and i choose to read it because it's the only hangout we have so far, and i wanted to see how it was going to go but because it was really pretty it's going to hurt me so bad to turn him down because in my main route my mc romances only rin........ omg it's going to hurt isn't? 😭😭😭😭😭

As long as you don't flirt with them, keeping their hopes up and stringing them along... Then they'd definitely understand MC rejecting them 🥺 Sure, it would still sting and they couldn't help but be disappointed, but they'd get over it in no time--at least the initial hurt.

Also, I suppose it helps that if you've always treated them like a friend, then they already kinda have quite low expectation that MC reciprocates. They really just need to get the confession out because they just can't hold it much longer and the time feels right enough for them. Keeping their feelings inside has been eating at them.

Has Ash been officially adopted into MC's family yet, or is that something that might happen in the story?

I feel like a great moment to have that is to do it right before Ash confesses their feelings 💀💀💀

MC: You've always been like my brother/sister, and I was wondering if you'd like to make that official.

Ash: Oh my god yes I feel the sa- wait, what?

Nooo, that's so funny and mean at the same time to poor Ash 😭💀😆

But for a more serious answer to your first question, I suppose Ash has never been "officially" adopted. When Viktor and Cara died, Luka became both MC’s and Ash’s legal guardians. I suppose he really doesn't want to be considered a parent and thus, come across as trying to replace Viktor and Cara for MC and Ash respectively.

He already struggles with the feeling of guilt for being the only one who survived and now, the one who has been and will be witnessing all the remaining important milestones in both MC's and Ash's lives instead of Viktor and Cara. He sometimes feels like he doesn't deserve this privilege.

Me: chilling and looking at what's new on Tumblr - saw jsc posting answers about the characters superpowers - saw that Takashi's superpower is Super Strength which includes superior resilience and stamina compared to normal people.

This reminded me of Takahashi X Victor's horse shenanigans.
