WORLD TOUR- .02

"Your dirty jokes just had to be heard?"

“Hurry!” A scream came from one of the singers in the house, his hair freshly done as he ran into the living room putting on a jacket. His heart was pounding as he and our friends were about to run late to a big live interview. The bassist and drummer already sat in the vehicle waiting for the twins and me who had come over to the house in the morning to do my makeup with Bill but even myself woke up a tad bit later than I Should've.

“It’s okay, Bill.” I walk calmly into the room, wiping my wet hands onto my mini skirt then rolling down these black long sleeves. “We need to go, we literally have 25 minutes to get to the building that’s 26 minutes away!” His voice cracks, he went to go get his brother but he was already joining the two, tiredly yawning.

Unlike the others he had just thrown something on and put his hair into his usual style.

Predictable.

“Alright, let’s go, let’s go!” I wind my hand up then pointing out the door. Bill was out the door faster than light itself as Tom took his time a little bit more due to his huge pants that wouldn’t exactly let him run in.

Of course I had to sit in the middle of the twins. Being smushed together I leaned more onto Bill, his arm slightly around my shoulders to give more room in the back seat. “Sorry Georg!” I apologize for our un-togetherness. He just shakes his head, motioning that it was okay before he speeds down the road for the singer’s sake.

As we sat in the car with the radio on low, Bill and I took pictures on his phone trying to pass the time as Gustav took a little nap, Georg sat quietly as he focused on the road and Tom sometimes talked to Bill about how the interview was going to go. We haven’t exactly spoken since yesterday, which was completely okay. I would rather have the silence than hear his annoying voice.

Today will be our first sit down, live interview together. It’s more of a day show like America’s Ellen Degenerous show or like the night shows as well.

Just German.

Well this will be played on my Youtube channel so I’m going to put captions on it so that others will get our huge announcement as well from this video. But since not a lot of people that speak English will want to see it I’ve had the boys make a video with me to post for the U.K. or the U.S.

Actually getting to the building is what brought all of our nerves to the roof. Even Tom who was freaking out with Georg. They were being pretty dramatic as they pretended to cry together. Once we parked in the back like we were told, security all ran our way and someone took the keys from Georg to move the car somewhere else while we were inside. Security stood by us as we entered the building.

Fans somehow found the backway entry and were shouting our names as we passed by screaming for us to give them attention. Sadly we couldn’t acknowledge them.

It almost felt exhilarating to be put in this situation. The running and being hid by screaming people who would just love to put their hands on you in any way they could. Little creepy now that I put it into words.

Anyways.

We were escorted to an area to be mic’d up. This girl has to put it in areas that won’t be incredibly noticeable. Looking around at the boys as Tom was getting his done lastly, his eyes were on the girls boobs since she was slightly bent over. Scrunching my nose in disgust I look away.

Turning to Gustav I dramatically grabbed his shoulders. “You ready?” Shaking him back and forth he finally put his hands on mine to stop me. “Are you?” He laughs.

I nod like a crazy woman, pulling him into a hug. “I’m a tiny bit nervous.” I chuckle. “I can tell.”

“Time to get into place.” Bill snaps us out of it and we let go of each other moving to the curtains of the screen. Bill gripped onto my hand and the host called out our names. Well more, “Ladies and Gentles I have the wonderful [Name] [Last Name] with Tokio Hotel!”

As we joined him near the couches he stood up, greeting us one by one. “Hello, hello!” He shook my hand tightly.

“Hi, an honor!” I smile and he winks back in response, slightly catching me off guard earning a confused look for a split second.

As we sat down, I was placed nearest to the host, Bill next to and so on.

The beginning of it all was very cliche, it was the normal stuff we usually get coming to these types of things only this time we got to do it together.

The questions get a little morbid, asking about our personal life but having to go with it we will change it up in the best way we can to not give out that sentimental information.

We’re only 18. Some of us being 17 still.

“So, [Name] you’re starting your tour soon aren’t you?” He places the attention onto me, my face turning warmmer by the second. “Yeah, I am.” I smile, mentally wanting to beat myself up due to the fact that I’ve been stuttering ever so lightly but still being a tad bit noticeable. “Aren’t you going to miss these four boys?” He jokes with me and we all snicker at the thought.

“Well, I won’t have to miss them.”

“What do you mean?” He tilts his head, not getting what I was laying down.

“She means, Tokio Hotel is joining her World Tour!” Bill shouts mainly for the audience. Everyone gasping at first then roaring into cheers.

Obviously I don’t think that was very expected.

We waited for the audience to calm down and then we continued with the questions. Now changing what he was saying to things about the tour. Were the prices changing? Anything like that. Obviously nothing will be changing except for the fact that the boys will be joining with me.

Starting in Germany then going around Europe then to the United States of America. Other countries too but that’s later on and their tickets haven’t gone on sale yet.

Now people in the crowd get to ask their questions. It was mainly to Tom as usual when we’re all together.

“This one’s for Tom and [Name],” A younger teenage girl speaks up as the guy with the microphone holds onto it. “Go ahead.” I smile sweetly to her and Tom nods her way. She looked like she was going to faint at any moment but still held strong.

“How come whenever you guys are seen in public you never go near each other?”

The group starts laughing quietly, Bill sneakily takes my pinkie with his and squeezes it. I take a deep breath trying not to laugh myself at this godawful question.

“There really isn’t a reason. I guess that’s just what’s seen in public.” I play it off, I thought it was pretty smooth but knowing Tom he was about to do something to mess it up or change it to his liking.

“She really just can’t handle all the heat that comes with being near me.” Like I said, there he goes. He corrected me in a smart way. Everyone started laughing, even the host so my only option was to force it out of me as well, quietly adding in a “He wishes” but it was sadly louder than I wanted because of the microphone thats connected to my shirt.

I only noticed that because of the “Ohh’s” heard around the crowd. “ I don’t have to wish, it’s my reality.” He smirks.

“Oh you’re right, guys he’s just too hot to handle!” I sarcastically squeal, covering my face to act like I was blushing. He plays along, pointing at me going “See!”

Luckily the interview moved on from that horrible conversation and it all went smoothly.

Once it ended and we took off our mic’s we were out the door faster than we could imagine.

Shoving Tom out of my way, I got to the passenger side and sat in the front with Georg, unfortunately having to kick Gustav to the back. He’ll be okay though.

As Georg started driving, he took the back roads to not have any fans following us out of the area. We all talked about everything and how good it was that we finally had the information about the tour out. All of us complimenting each other on how it went.

“It went pretty amazing, well except the fact that [Name] kept stuttering like she was in love with our host.” Tom mutters the last part but my head snaps his way and I glare at him. “Like you can talk? Googling over every girl who came up to the mic.” I furrowed my brows. “And barely anyone could hear you, having to repeatedly be told to speak up.” I add in.

“That must’ve been your imagination because I was heard pretty well for what needed to be heard.” He comes closer to my face, I adjust myself to actually look at him. “You think so?”

He rolls his eyes, getting even closer to the point where our noses were almost touching. “Your dirty jokes just had to be heard?” I quiz him. Georg tapped my thigh, trying to get me to calm down and end it. And due to his delay of a response I thought he was just going to end it and stop talking. Boy was I wrong.

“Yeah to get desperate girls like you to know they could only be a quick fuck.” He whispered into my ear, only for me to hear. He finally leans back but without even thinking on my part I unbuckle my seat and get inbetween the seats to hit him right in the jaw. Probably hurting myself more than him. The boys all shouted and Georg quickly pulled over, grabbing my waist and shoving me back into the seat. My breathing turned ragged.

“You’re a dick Tom.” I step out of the car, slamming it behind me.

As I had gotten a little bit away I held onto my fist and cursed underneath my breath. Hearing a car door open then shut, and fast footsteps heading my way I thought it was Bill coming to check up on me.

“Seriously? You hit me then run off?”

Nevermind, I am really bad at this guessing game.

“Why did you come out Tom?” I immediately stop.

He just laughs, looking down at my fist in the palm of my other hand and I move to cross my arms and hide it but still putting pressure on my newest injury caused by Tom’s jaw.

“Can’t believe you actually hit me.”

“Want me to do it again?”

“Just calm down, get in the car for their sake. You’re really going to let something I said bother you?” He shames me, he’s really about to shame me?

“Just leave me be, okay? I’m gonna have Johanna come get me.” I shove him away from me, then grabbing my phone out of my tiny pocket in my mini skirt.

Turning away I heard the doors of a car once again and then the wheels on gravel move closer to me. “[Name], get in the car!” Bill shouts my way but I just shake my head. “I’m calling, Johanna. Just leave without me. I’ll call you when I get home.” I smile sadly, Bill just nods telling Georg to just go but he hesitates at first. Only to get told to go once more.

“He is the most infuriating person on this planet, Jo!” I cried out and she just laughs in response. I threw my head back onto my couch as my cat laid in my lap, shimmying to get comfortable.

My best friend was across from me with her legs laid out.

“I can’t believe you actually punched him.” She giggles mainly to herself.

“Dude, it felt like an actual out of body experience, I didn’t feel like me.” I rub my face, careful of the piercings on it.

“What did he even say to make you react that way?”

Sitting for a moment in silence as I thought about it;

“Yeah to get desperate girls like you to know they could only be a quick fuck.”

Scrunching my nose in disgust I shake my head. “Doesn’t matter, just know it made me mad enough to punch him.” I sigh.

Tightening my fist I flinch with the feeling of the ice joining back in with the pain.

“I still wonder.” She frowns.

CHAPTER TWO BABY!!!! Very surprised I got this done so fast after work. I'm pretty proud of this chapter. The next chapter will be tomorrow:) (Hopefully, if not it will be the next day)

When Sofia got the call from Nikki, she was concerned. Nikki had been watching Daisy while Sofia herself was off for the set of friendlies in New Zealand.

It was a quick call. Nikki had an emergency that she had to leave for, which meant she couldn’t watch Daisy anymore. Sofia was racking her brain, mentally making a list of people she could call last minute to watch Daisy, when Nikki informed her of your existence.

“My best friend is staying at my place right now, so I hope it’s okay if she watches Daisy.”

Sofia was skeptical at first. Especially when Nikki let it slip that you had two dogs of your own.

“Nik, I love you, but I don’t know if you telling me one girl is watching four dogs is making me feel any better.”

“Sof,” Nikki starts. “I know this isn’t the ideal situation, but I promise she’s amazing with dogs. Daisy will be well taken care of until you get back in a couple days.”

Really, it’s the photo you send not even ten minutes after she hangs up the phone with her club teammate that makes Sofia start to think about you in a different light.

In it, Daisy’s half laying on top of an unfamiliar german shepherd. Burger has his paws resting upon this dog’s head too, but it doesn’t seem to faze the dog at all. She squints, wondering if she’ll get a glimpse of your second mysterious dog, but can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Sofia sits up in her bed, smiling at the image of three dogs.

[I hope she hasn’t been too much trouble. Nikki said something about you taking care of four dogs?? I can get someone to come grab her in the morning]

Your response is instantaneous. This time it’s a picture of you cuddling with all four dogs. Sofia’s first thought is that you’re cute. Leave up to Nikki to be friends with someone who looks like a literal goddess. Sofia’s too busy admiring the way you look underneath all of the fur that she doesn’t see the caption at first.

[Don’t worry about it! This cuddle puddle wouldn’t be the same without Daisy here!]

She can’t deny how happy Daisy looks, licking your cheek while you have a wide grin in the picture.

[If you’re sure. I don’t want to trouble you too much]

You guys text back and forth for a little bit before you call it a night. Sofia feels guilty for a second, forgetting about the time difference. It’s already close to midnight where she is, she couldn’t imagine how long you’ve been awake now.

When she falls asleep later that night, she does so with the image of your bright smile painted on the inside of her eyelids, wondering what your voice sounds like.

The two of you communicate regularly. You send her countless pictures of Daisy with the three other dogs in your care. Daisy looks so genuinely happy in each one, Sofia almost feels guilty for having to take her away from the other dogs in a couple days.

With each interaction between the two of you, Sofia can’t help but crush on you harder. You’re just so easy to talk to, not to mention how good you are with Daisy.

The first time she calls you, Sofia makes the excuse of wanting to see Daisy. The way you answer while in a sports bra and the shortest running shorts ever nearly makes Sofia’s brain short-circuit.

“Sorry,” you huff, brushing your hair out of your face. “We just came back from a run.”

“Is it not freezing over there right now?” Sofia laughs, trying to mask her flusterness with a joke.

The grin you give her makes her heart feel funny. “I’m Seattle born and raised. The cold doesn’t bother me.”

“Okay, weirdo.”

Although it’s the first time the two of you talk, conversation comes easily. By the time Rose comes to get her for practice, Sofia almost doesn’t want to leave.

“Sof, we gotta--” Rose blinks, looking over Sofia’s shoulder at the phone. “(Y/N)?”

You look up from where you’re fixing yourself some food. “Oh hey, Rose!”

Sofia looks between the two of you. “You guys know each other?”

Rose rolls her eyes. “Do I know (Y/N)? She literally named one of her dogs after me.”

“Fake news. Rosie the dog came with her name from the shelter. You’re just the annoying human that came with Nikki from soccer.”

Sofia nearly chokes at the offhanded way you insult Rose. Rose merely snorts as if the two of you have had this conversation multiple times already.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever. You better be treating mini me with all the love she deserves. Anyways,” she turns back towards the defender. “We gotta go. Bus leaves in ten.”

“Right, sorry. Be right there.”

“Go kick some soccer ass. It was nice talking to you.”

Sofia doesn’t have a chance to say anything before you’re switching the camera. Sofia’s met with the giant face of her dog.

“Daisy, come here! Say bye to your mom!”

When you finally hang up the phone, Sofia has the biggest smile on her face. When she looks up, getting ready to leave the room, she realizes with a start that Rose is still lingering by the door.

The younger girl has a shit eating grin on her face that only spells trouble. “Sof, do you have a crush?”

“What? No! Of course not!” she sputters.

“Right. So you wouldn’t care if I told you (Y/N) was single.”

“She’s single?” Sofia doesn’t have a chance to stop herself before she asks the question.

By the time they get to the bus, Rose has teased her so much that Sofia has no choice but to sink into her seat with a red face.

You’re playing fetch with the dogs when Sofia meets you in person for the first time. Daisy races past your outstretched hand to barrel into her owner, barking with joy.

“Hi, Daisy girl! Were you good for (Y/N)?”

The soft crunching of gravel has her looking up again. You look as good in person as you did over the screen of her phone. If anything, you look even better. Sofia has to swallow her groan when you give her a soft smile.

“Hi.”

“Hey.”

She doesn’t know if it’s weird, but Sofia hugs you all the same when she gets up. She doesn’t know if she’s imagining it too when she spots a faint blush on your cheeks.

“It’s great to finally meet you.”

“Yeah of course. Thank you so much for watching Daisy. I’m sure you didn’t sign up to watch four dogs when you decided to come visit Nikki.”

“Is that what she told you?” you laugh.

Sofia frowns. “What, she didn’t actually have a real emergency?”

“No, no, she did. I was just referring to the ‘visiting Nik’ thing.”

Sofia stays silent, not really sure where you’re going with this.

“I moved back here from Cali a couple months ago. I’m Nikki’s permanent roommate, no matter how hard she tries to get rid of me.”

“Oh, so I guess I’ll be seeing you around?” She tries to play it off as if she doesn’t have any real expectations to see you again, but deep down, Sofia knows that she’d do anything just to make up a reason to get to see you after you give back Daisy.

“Well yeah, you’re kind of stuck with me now. Daisy and I have really bonded in your absence. I’m expecting full visiting privileges.” Your words are spoken with a grin, and Sofia can’t help but laugh at your demand.

“I’m gonna miss you, Daisy girl.” Leaning down, you press a kiss Daisy’s forehead, the giant pup wiggling from all of your attention.

“We can always take our dogs out for a puppy play date,” Sofia shrugs, trying to play it cool. “That way you can see Daisy again. And I’m sure she’d love to play with your dogs too.”

“Or…” you trail off, keeping your eyes focused on where the three dogs are now rolling around together on the ground.

“Or?” Sofia repeats, trying not to get her hopes up.

You look nervous now, eyes still not meeting hers. “I know a restaurant nearby that’s pet friendly. If you happen to be free tomorrow night, I’d love some company.”

“Are you asking me out on a date?”

You chew on the inside of your cheeks, finally raising your eyes to meet hers. “Are you going to get creeped out if I say yes?”

Sofia’s heart instantly feels warm. She’s smiling so hard that her cheeks hurt, but she really couldn’t care less. “Text me the time and place. I’ll be there.”

Your eyes light up. “Right, yeah, cool. I’ll definitely do that.”

By the time she leaves hours later, having been caught up getting to know you, Sofia has a feeling that maybe, hopefully, both her and Daisy will be seeing a lot more of you.

Pairing: König x f!Reader ( OC aka “Mini” MacTavish ) + Oc child

Summary: Short drabble about König and his son.

DING You paused your hand from folding the laundries. Picking up your phone you were utterly confused why König is texting you. – Liebling… Can you come upstairs and rescue me please, I can’t move. Your heart stopped, throwing your phone down you immediately ran upstairs to your husband. Did something happen to him? The dauntless warrior on the battlefield, only to have something happen to him at his own house?

Open the door to the nursery, where he was supposed to be playing with his son, you nearly burst out laughing. There’s König, facing down spread out like a starfish, with baby Alex on his back, sleeping like an angel.

König loves children. But he is always scared with his intimidating size and look , the kids will be traumatised by him. Despite that, he always tells you he wants to have kids with you. So the moment you announce the pregnancy to him with first child Alex to him, he was overjoyed, cried for hours after. He hovers over you like a helicopter, until you get so annoyed you have to sit him down and give him a stern talk about how you are not a fragile vase in your pregnant state,and he should trust you a bit and let you be sometime. The first time he held his tiny newborn son in his arms, he swore he would protect his family with all his might. He’s a very hands-on father. Whenever he is home from a mission, he will be there to spend time with him, looking after him, changing his nappies, bathing him, feeding him, talking to him in German, giving him lots of love. Turning his head slightly to face you, “He fell asleep while playing with me.. I didn’t want to wake him up.. .. uh, What are you doing? ” König spoke in a hushed voice. You tiptop towards König, take the phone out from his hand and take a photo of the boys. “Taking a photo.” You proceed to send the picture to the team and family chat group captioning - My Small and Big teddy bear –. Putting the phone back into his hand, you carefully pick up your son, give him a kiss on the cheek and put him into his cot. König rolled over and groaned. He slowly got up, cranked his neck before shuffling over towards cot and wrapped you up with his arm from behind. “You gave me a real fright when you texted me.” you whispered as you lean back into his chest. “Sorry. But my back was getting really sore and stiff..” You giggled. “Let’s go downstairs, I'll make you some tea and give you a massage. Simon sent me some tea that was supposed to be pretty rare. It will go well with the dark chocolate cake you made yesterday..” “Oi König what’s with that photo of you and Alex?”

“Shush, I didn’t want to wake him up.”

“ Aww how cute.”

“ Can we concentrate on the enemy that is currently spraying us with all the bullets they got please? OH yea König, Emma said she wants to do a playdate with the cousins.”

what kind of accents do you think the cast has? im a dub main for various reasons (one of my friends had a reading/memory disability so i ended up watching dub w them) so im kinda used to everyones dub accents.

but bards defo got an american accent right? (not in the dub, but im thinking manga terms?)

and ik soma & agni have barely a trace of an accent but does that mean they sound basically british?

(Sorry it’s been a rough couple days and I didn’t realize I hadn’t published this yet.)

Hey anon… so I’m a bit confused as to if you’re asking about the Japanese accents in the various anime, the English dub accents (or some other dub), or just my thoughts on what their various accents would be like based on the manga and independent of the anime.

Now I have only watched Kuro in English bc that’s the only thing that was available/that’s available on what I have at the moment (though I’m finally getting the blu rays for BoM and BoA so I’m hoping they’ll have the Japanese to try that out for once), so I can’t make judgements based on that. (And I’m not a good one to ask about Japanese accents anyway, lol.)

I also favor dubs bc of my disability. I love hearing the Japanese but it can be hard for me to follow sometimes, and even english alone without captions I can struggle with (please fix this, CR!!! Grr), so I feel you there.

Also not sure which characters you had in mind with this ask (other than the ones you specifically mentioned). Since kuro has so many, I guess I’ll just focus on a few. I want to make clear I am American and Latine, so I am not an expert on British regional accents by any stretch, or the historical accents of the Victorian period, so I’ll just do my best. Some may be partly inspired by how the characters are written in Japanese, since there’s a bit more… complexity to the Japanese language in regards to things like formality, rudeness, etc, that may not convert into English when translated in writing.

This is a long post so I’ll use a readmore to keep it a bit less chaotic. Below the break I’ve broken down my hypotheses on how some of the major players might talk:

Sebastian

As a high-ranking servant who regularly interacts with the nobility, Sebastian would have a high-class accent, and it is reflected in how his Japanese (and even his English) is written. It is a fairly neutral, polite manner of speaking. I’m sure the Victorians probably had a term for this accent (a high-class servant accent), but if they did, I don’t know it lol.

Ciel

Most nobles like him would be educated in a public school like Weston, like his father was, and those schools taught a standard accent that often varied slightly from school to school. So everyone who went to Weston would have a similar manner of speech. Ciel has been “home schooled” his entire life, aside from a short time at Weston for the investigation, so his accent might have been slightly different than his father’s. Nevertheless, especially under Sebastian’s tutelage, he would have learned how to speak properly (if he didn’t already). Still, unless Sebastian intentionally had him learn the Weston/public school accent, anyone who speaks to him would know he did not go to school, but was taught by tutors/governesses instead.

Bard

Yes, Bard is American despite his dub accent. We don’t know where he’s from exactly, but we can assume it was probably somewhere west of the Mississippi (that’s about 1/3 of the way west if you’re looking at the US map, going east to West, if you’re not familiar with our Geography).

I say that bc the river was the first real demarcation of the frontier. It’s likely he was living somewhere like Texas or Oklahoma. Ofc where he’s from would affect his accent, but I imagine it as a kind of cross between a more neutral southern midwestern accent (“no accent”) and a subtle Texas or OK one. Which that’s hard to explain unless you really know regional US accents, bc most of Texas doesn’t sound like most people think it does. The accents really change depending on what part of the state you’re in, since it’s such a big place. But basically not too heavy an accent but a bit lazy, definitely coarse and brutish since he was a soldier and a farmer. Lots of slang and not big on politeness. (Which he definitely is in Japanese.)

Mey Rin

She’s interesting because she’s one of the few characters who has a couple different ways of speaking. She has her “maid” voice and her “assassin” voice. The first one stutters a lot and uses imperfect grammar, as reflected in the English translation when she repeats things, like “I’m not one to talk badly about my betters, I am.” The second does not have this quirk. Not sure if the first is meant as an affectation as part of her idea of what a maid is, or if she just has such a divide he her personality/personas that she speaks differently when she’s wielding a gun. Since that wasn’t really mentioned in her subarc, I doubt we’ll get an explanation. We do know she was likely a child of immigrants from China, but not whether she was born there or in England before she was orphaned. But it is unlikely she has any hint of a Chinese accent since she was orphaned so young. She definitely has more of a working class accent, especially when compared to someone like Sebastian.

Finny

I had momentarily forgotten that Finny didn’t speak English when he first came to the manor. It’s likely that he would have had some kind of German accent, but I expect that Sebastian would have drilled it out of him, considering how strict he was with Sieglinde and Wolf, and Ciel didn’t blink an eye.

Finny’s accent in English never struck me as particularly high class, either in the manga or anime, but in one of the recent chapters, Theo makes a point to compliment his “upper-class accent.” It does seem highly probable that Sebastian played a hand in how he speaks, since he probably was the one who taught him English.

However, the fact that it came up in this sub arc could indicate his way of speaking is significant, somehow tying into what’s going on with Undertaker and the orphanage. Either way, his accent is apparently closer to Ciel than Mey.

Snake

Snake is tricky, because he almost never speaks as himself (I’m still not 100% sure what pronoun he would use for himself in Japanese, and even he doesn’t seem sure lol). He speaks via his snakes, and they all have different ways of speaking (which I think the dub does a decent job of, personally). So I can’t really say, but for the most part I would probably say his accent(s) would be closer to working-class, but he might have gotten some lessons on speaking from Sebastian, since, as a footman, he would have been expected to speak at a higher-class level than other, below-stairs servants would.

Undertaker

Like Mey, UT has two manners of speaking. He has his “humble old undertaker” accent, which is Cockney-esque (I don’t wanna do a disservice by saying it IS that), definitely a lower class accent. Then he has his “revealed” voice, or how he speaks after he reveals himself on the Campania. I have not read this arc in Japanese so I cannot base this judgement on how this shift is portrayed by Yana, only based on the translation. But it definitely seems to be a higher-class accent than the other one. It’s likely that it’s his “real” accent, while the other is part of his cover persona. However, we don’t know anything about him or his background from when he was alive, or even how old he is. For all we know, that accent could be an affectation too.

Agni & Soma

I know their dub accents annoy a lot of people, since Yana specifically mentions how they don’t have an Indian accent. I expect both of them would speak with a British accent, probably something close to how Ciel speaks, most likely, since Soma would have been educated by tutors and Agni probably was as well, since he came from a very high-caste family. I would expect that if their dub accents has been closer to Yana’s intent, they would sound more like Hakim in the dub of the anime Emma. That’s how I imagine them, anyway.

Sieglinde & Wolfram

I expect both would have German accents when they speak English, especially Wolf. Sieglinde might do a better job of working to improve and lose it, but I don’t think Wolf would, partly because of his animosity toward Sebastian. I like to imagine he sounds like Hans in the English dub of the anime Emma, and I really hope we eventually get the Green Witch Arc animated and dubbed so we can get a hot German English accent 🥺.

Diedrich

Dee, on the other hand, I think would not have a German accent in English, especially not in the present. I think he probably was educated in English before he went to Weston, likely by a private tutor, probably someone British, and then when he went there would have acclimated to the public school assent there. So probably he would sound like Vincent did, but I expect he’d throw in some German every now and then, especially when he gets irritated, lol.

Lau

Lau is originally from China, and his accent (as far as I know?) has never been remarked upon in the manga. We also know nothing about his background except that he rose quickly and at a young age to be head of Quin-Bang. I would assume that he speaks English very well, and the only hint at his origin that I’m aware of in the Japanese is the kanji (character) for the pronoun “I” he uses, though he doesn’t pronounce it as it’s normally done in Japanese nor does he with a Chinese pronunciation. I would take this to mean he probably has little if any hint of a Chinese accent when he speaks English, and since he keeps company with nobles and was able to pass as a doctor, he likely speaks in a high-class accent.

so i love coming up with au's for my fandoms that ill never actually write, so yk what? its time to make them a tumblr series!! first up?

ely's hypothetical dsmp marvel au!!!

Meet: the avengers, though their fans tend to call them the sleepy bois! (an inside joke from when the iron bird may have fallen asleep before a very important conference). The line up is as follows!

The Iron Bird! This man, also know as Phil, or Philza affectionately, got rich from a mix of inheritance and coding skills! This one man army can rival all of Nintendo! Well, a man and a robot, if you include his highly advanced digital assistant!

Wilbur! More commonly known by the superhero name, Retrocognition, Wilbur is Philza's assistant! originally created as an ai, he now has a body thanks to the infinity stone in his head! He was originally made as a replica of Philza's son, whose death pushed him to becoming a superhero, but Wilbur has grown into his own being!

This brings us to Philza and Wilbur's first real friend for years, Fire ant. Moved on from her days as a german spy, Fire Ant now works for Phil and helps him in his superhero escapades! Those close to her know her as Niki, and well her instincts are sharp and her mind suspicious, she can make a mean pastry.

And now, coming out of the ice for the first time in decades, its Captain America! She may be a tad old, and catching on lost time, but shes still as strong as ever! Her real name is Cara, but her friends call her Puffy! Why? Nobody really remembers to be honest. Shes our favorite super soldier, and a complete bad ass when shes not trying to figure out how a phone works!

Next in the line up, the great god of thunder, Tho- oh, sorry, turns out he now prefers the more 'human' 'discrete' name of Technoblade? Well, no matter the name, Techno is a wonderful god! Loyal to his hammer, the orphan obliterator! (turns out Milnor was a mistranslation? well thank god(s) for that!) A tad absentminded, and always cracking jokes about some kind of wall, he may just be the most powerful on the team.

But our team wouldn't be complete without our final three! Why, its Goop, Hawkeye, and... Fundy? Sure!

First off, the amazing Goop! Thanks to some gamma rays, great scientist Charlie Sicle became some what of a monster. He's a totally normal man with a perfectly normal bone structure, until you make him mad! Then, well you ever heard of a d&d ooze? Yea... you can have fun with that.

Then, we have Hawkeye. Also known as Jack Manifold (hes not the best at secret identities), this super powered hero is... what is he actually? Why do they keep him around? Well... anyway this family man is probably a wonderful addition to the team!

And last but certainly not least, its the wonderful Fundy! Quickly taken in by Wilbur, this 15 year old was granted out of this world powers by a space stone! And with a slightly unhealthy amount of trauma and self loathing, what teen wouldn't want to be this orange wizard!

Of course, we have other heros! From Sneegsnag the bug man, to Spidered the purple spider hero, Foolish the wizard sorcerer, to King Ponk of Wakanda (and more importantly king of his lemon orchid). Many wonderful heros to beat all the terrorists in this galaxy!

And if its more heroes in the galaxy your looking for, may I introduce the wonderful Guardians of our galaxy?

Starting with our self selected caption, Tommy Inn! Tommy was swooped up as a young boy by aliens, with only his mothers favorite music disc and a handheld player to his name. He protects those discs with his life, almost more then he protects his own life!

Then, of course, we cant talk about the legendary captain without his newly full time best friend! Tho he used to be an enemy, Tubbo is down for the ride! If not a little skeptical of his best friends planning abilities. Former son of Madre, he's ready to gaurd that galaxy!

Of course we can't talk about the guardian without discussing Ranboo! This little devil was made in a lab, and looks oddly similar to a minecraft enderman! A tad insecure, this he/they will not hesitate to bite you.

And of course, Ranboo's loyal companion, Aimsey. Aimsey's species is apparently very close to this earth cartoon Tommy keeps talking about, Adventure time. However Aimsey and their complex language of "I am Aimsey" is a much needed team member.

And now you know the heros of our tales! Fighting Madre, who dreams of creating his own universe with the infinity stones, who knows what could come next!

First things first, i promise you, it's not always like this. Generally we're way more chill here on tumblr. Avoid pinterest and google and, for your own mental health, tiktok and twitter. (First two will guarantee an identity reveal and former two will guarantee that + psychic damage.)

Back to the drama!! So, you probably know they're anonymous. And VERY adamant on staying this way. If you check their very first interview or the voice messages from the 2023 US tour, you would see what i mean. Their identities are not important, their art is.

But. Some entitled little shit found their anonymity is a personal insult to them or something. So they decided to publish iii's birth certificate and some other personal info + there was something about them wanting to stalk iii (i really don't know the details, because i got rid of my twitter account a few months prior, but it was definitely vile behaviour). And it's. Not a very legal thing to do. I mean, if you're really curious, you could google them and find their identities in less than 5 minutes, no extremely personal info release needed. What i am trying to say, this is the 21st century, you're not some kind of sherlock to find personal info about anyone, no need to boast. Or, you know. Do illegal things to prove a point, because you feel entitled to someone's identity.

So, as a result, iii deleted and/or made his socials private (the ones related to his st activity, anyway). It is not the first time he did that, because people were getting too straightforward or rude before too, just not on that scale. It all happened a few days ago (2? I have no perception of time passing, sorry). It was understandable, he got doxxed, he did what had to be done to protect himself. Another drama started when the main band account removed all its posts on instagram today and changed the description to "nothing lasts forever". Which is a catchphrase they use from their very beginning, so it is not a worrying thing in itself. However, the circumstances have made people believe the whole band will disband (not dismember, alex, do not write dismembered AGAIN), because of the invasion of iii's privacy.

However, in the end, i believe the consensus is that since they have changed their masks for the Wembley show and had the "new era" captions (+ other bands tend to do that too), the insta post purge is just a PR tactic before the new era's introduction. Which i am prone to believe, really. They are mysterious, sure, but if something is happening (like iii needing to leave the German rituals in December because of personal reasons), the band notifies the fans about it. So if they were to disband, or iii was to leave, they would just communicate this. They didn't, so we're waiting for their next move, whatever is might be.

But i don't think they're going anywhere. They have finished their trilogy with the latest album, so Wembley was the best way to end it all, as a finished project. It didn't happen. They already have 2024 tour dates announced, so we know they're not done. So it's all fine, just unfortunate timing/their legal team telling them to do that/their way of showing they're done with annoying people/just a new era's insta purge. Or something else, which they would soon inform us about, if they want to.

All we can do is wait for more news and keep supporting them in our own ways. And not stress about it 🖤

while its a banger track, i cant help but feel like the lyrics relate to them a ton. even through translations it’s still easy to read the song as something chan would sing to y/n, asking and telling them at the same time that they’re so cold. there’s a lyric that goes “your lips are purple like the flowers i’ll never buy you” (apologies if that’s mistranslated) and honestly? chan would definitely still buy those flowers for them, but maybe a part of him hesitates still considering y/n’s antics. he doesn’t know if they’ll be extra mean to him about it. your scenario hurts, too: chan would finally muster up the courage to ask them why they treat him this way even if he knows they’re confused with their feelings for him, but…maybe it leads to them opening up to each other, them navigating through their own feelings out of mean sex for once, and ends with a confession from the reader, who knows :D

honestly bully anon? you’ve bumped loser chan to SSS tier on my personal channie au tier list, but i honestly can’t agree more with you! something about this au with him fits him so well. i guess he kind of is a simp and a loser at the same time, at least that’s how i perceive it. the one common thing that i love about these channie aus is that he just has this sort of undying and passionate love that’s almost unconditional. it really suits him considering and it mirrors his dedicated self really well, but these characters taking the persona to these extremes is honestly so amusing. y/n can do anything to him, like be mean or kind, and loser chan would eat it up even if it makes him look pathetic. his unwavering love is just so attractive ^^

Sicktember Day 3: "What Happened To Your Phenomenal Immune System, Huh?"

Fandom: Ace Attorney Characters: Franziska von Karma, Adrian Andrews, Larry Butz Notes: Set vaguely during the final stretch of the 7yg, Franziska and Adrian are married. Larry frequently visits for business purposes, given Franziska’s likeness is heavily used in his hit book: Franzy’s Whippity-Whip Trip. This time, Franziska had the opportunity to attend one of Larry’s events promoting the all-new German language release of the book. The thing about these events, however, is they’re practically a petri dish with some books scattered around.

They both warned her.

Well, Adrian just gave loving advice to be careful while Larry warned that getting sick after attending his book signing events was inevitable the first few times. Franziska was absolutely certain that such a fate could not befall her; not only was her diet and exercise routine absolutely impeccable, but international investigations had already exposed her to just about everything.

Unfortunately, it seemed ‘everything’ did not include the breeding ground of viruses that was a crowded public library storytime circle. To make matters worse, the absolute chaos it was in a library of all places, where it should be quiet, left Franziska completely exhausted. Perhaps even a phenomenal immune system like hers had met a more than worthy foe this time.

Ugh.

“Hey, honey,” Adrian sweetly whispered as she cracked open the bedroom door, “are you getting up soon? Larry made us breakfast.”

“Yeah, in a minute.” Just speaking felt like sandpaper in Franziska’s throat. Where did her voice go? She hardly used it, so explaining it away as a result of straining was out of the question.

“If you want, I’m sure a few extra minutes of sleep won’t hurt. You’ve had a pretty busy week, after all.” Adrian had mastered pushing all the right buttons to encourage her wife to rest; even if Franziska had improved in admitting when she was less than a hundred percent, it never hurt whenever the subject was approached delicately.

Larry, on the other hand…

Larry was the personification of the captioned images of two dogs in various predicaments, saying something like: “a good friend will help you out of a bad situation, but a best friend will laugh and say ‘I told you so.’” A best friend. Five years ago, Franziska considered the very idea of friends, let alone best friends, to be just plain foolish. Five years ago, she considered the very idea of Larry being her friend was simply beyond foolish. Now she was working with him on his books based on her likeness, and both she and Adrian had come to quite enjoy his visits.

Times like these, however, Franziska ever so slightly wished she had the same mindset as she had back then.

“The plague got ya, huh, Franzy?” Larry’s teasing startled Adrian. “Oh, sorry. Didn’t mean to sneak up on you.”

“Don’t worry about it.” Adrian smiled before lowering her voice. “I don’t think she wants you to draw attention to that, though.”

“‘That?’” Larry took a while for the words to register. “Oh! Her being sick? When you said she felt really warm this morning, I thought that meant she was past this whole overconfidence in her immune system thing.”

“I was not overconfident!” Franziska interjected, quickly regretting her volume as the words had scratched against her throat. “I just… thought you were exaggerating.” She sniffled and massaged her temples. “Everything hurts.”

“Lucky for you, I have a lot of lozenges, cold meds, and painkillers in my suitcase.” Larry beamed. “Thanks for your private jet not having a luggage check, by the way. I’m pretty sure at least one of the med brands I brought with me is illegal here…”

“I–” Franziska broke into a fit of coughing, prompting her to file away any objection she was about to raise. “If they work, I might not regret such a grave error on my part.”

“Thank you so much, Larry.” Adrian chose to ignore the potential of Larry having unintentionally smuggled illegal goods. If they helped her wife feel better, surely they couldn't be too bad.

“Thank you, Larry Butz.” Franziska croaked out the words her past self could have never imagined saying.

“You’re gonna feel better in no time!” Larry gave a thumbs-up before listing his agenda. “I know Nick’s mom’s soup recipe by heart, I’ll grab you extra pillows if you want, and I saw you had those really expensive tissues, so if you need those…” His rambling faded as he headed downstairs, enthusiastic as ever.

“He’s such a good guy,” Adrian chuckled softly, “we never have to lift a finger when he’s here.” She made herself comfortable in the bed, snuggling up to Franziska. “I’d say that’s a good excuse for some time for us.”

Franziska, not wanting to risk losing the last bit of voice she had, responded with a kiss on her wife’s cheek. Adrian may not have had the immune system that Franziska insisted she had, but if she were to get sick when the two had minimal responsibilities, that would not be bad at all.

I follow your posts for a while now. They really making my day! Want to thank you for that first.

So I just wanted to add some thoughts to the subbing discussion here. Thanks to you I just started another Love by Change re-watch. As you mentioned in another post the Youtube and Viki subs in Englisch are quite good here. (For YT JayBL‘s english subs are just amazing just adoring the subber until now.)

But I just realised again how great the german ones are! The subbing group not only explained the usage of P‘, khrab and sawadee . They also managed to convey the more informal/partly rude way of talking by Ae and the more formal way by Pete. That‘s so astonishing! That‘s also why LBC is one of the rare cases of BL I watch with german subs. (Well besides there aren‘t so many BL‘s with Ger sub for now. But Viki is on it.)

Actually the ger and eng LBC subs on YT inspired me to provide ger subs myself for Gameboys and partly UWMA. It wasn‘t an easy task, but so fulfilling. It made me quite sensible for subs now. The ones on Netflix for example are my personal nightmare. It seems to me the translators there are generalising a lot.

I was thinking, if with the existence of fan-made subs, so people who care to explain linguistics (like honorific’s, idioms, pronouns, etc.) in that specific cultural background and even keep them in the translation, a new group of bl consumers are growing up now, accepting the mixture of language or even create in the bl-fandom bubble a new transnational language? (Sorry the german in me got the better part of me here on sentence length‘s…)

I love this! And yes it does feel like it’s happening.

I makes me think about adoption of the term tsundere into the lexicon around anime in the 80s and 90s and now geeky fandom, or kishotenketsu among the literary sets.

There’s a lot of niche fandoms that adopt terms, and those terms become global lexicon.

It happens in academia and in concentrated work environments as well. You get to the point of specialization where you can have whole conversations with someone, using entirely technical terminology (think about programming languages, for example) as a lingo localized to a subject matter (rather than region). I’ve had these conversations with colleagues who don’t speak English. Like the verbs are different, but the terms are global. This can happen at conference or a convention or amongst staff on a movie set, or in a post production room. The way sound tech people talk to each other is like... whoah, what did you just say?!?

I can get this way around BL tropes where I just throw a term out there (like pratfall kiss, or there’s only one bed) and I just assume everyone here knows what the hell I’m talking about.

I’m sure the linguists have a technical term for this kind of language, like a combination of auxlang + jargon, but I don’t know it.

It makes me think a lot about the IRL evolution of Wittgenstein's private language, and how his (argued) innate unintelligible nature is counteracted by the moment of adoption into a small group. But that an outsider unfamiliar with the source subject matter would still hear it as primarily gobbledygook. (One of my minors is in epistemology.)

I think an even bigger version of the specific aspect you’re zeroing in on, is already happening around Korean via Hallyu (especially Kpop & Kdramas). And not just phrases like “stan” and “bias” and “bias wrecker” or sasaeng, hyung, and maknae, but whole linguistic concepts that run adjacent to these ideas around social structure and fandom.

I'm finding, just in normal every day conversation with native English speakers (yes, this is the kind of thing I talk about regularly in my workspace) that I have to explain what a "linguistic register" means less and less these days, particularly to those younger than me.

It's kinda awesome.

I suspect Hallyu is partly behind this, but also the general nature of growing up with globalization and the internet age. (Not to mention my own propensity to gravitate towards geeky types who are fans of more niche aspects of a greater fandom, and thus are, by their nature, increasingly global in an effort to connect with those few others who share their obsession.)

Here’s an example of a jargon rich sentence:

I don’t really stan a tsundere uke who's the maknae of the found family group, I like it when they flip the power play of the age dynamics or make him more of a sunshine cinnamon roll, although I forgive everything for Taiwanese chemistry and an “only one bed” trope.

Now you can tell me whether you understood it or if I cross hatched too many of my fandom jargons at once.
