Just for clarification, one of the covers for the next issue I've done joint as part of a zine, so tonight I'll upload one cover as normal and I'll also post a 'stand in' blank post that I'll replace the picture later when the zine gets released. I've done this so the order of pages isn't messed up by uploading the cover halfway through the issue!

#dunno how many people use tumblr through desktop but the archive thing makes it easier to navigate pages so I'm trying to keep to that haha #sorry for any confusion!#tdso

Was she really hacked? I thought Taylor herself teased blank space TV, since the cruel summer EP has the same cover as a scene in the blank space music video.

So as far as I know she wasn't hacked, there was just some way that people found it as a sound on Instagram and posted it to Twitter. I don't see it, but apparently it's there. AND AS I TYPE THIS a longer snippet got posted so I will be uploading that shortly!

Hmmmm, no, I fully agreed with both OPs related to Tom's breathing/reactions in the film that I reblogged (I can't tell which one you mean, but I have zero issues with those OPs)--it's all new and exciting to him, and that's WHY it's bizarre for film Tom to never explore that kind of love or sex or excitement ever again, especially as he's living in Brighton for the next four decades. In the book, it's intimated that he very much DOES keep exploring his own private not-straight life, and I think more's the pity for not keeping that as an option in the movie.

a stone lesbian has specific boundaries around penetration. there’s a lot of nuance that’s hard to squeeze into a quick definition!!

but here it is anyway: a stone top only “gives” during sex, aka does the penetrating. a stone bottom only “receives,” aka gets penetrated. there is no ‘taking turns’ in stone sex.

i think a better way to describe it would be this: a stone top gives pleasure in direct ways, and receives pleasure indirectly. a stone bottom does the reverse- they receive pleasure directly, and give pleasure indirectly.

direct pleasure = touching genitals, penetration, eating out

indirect pleasure = touching ‘non-erogenous’ zones, back scratches, sucking/jerking off the strap, grinding through clothes, visual/auditory/mental pleasure

both parties are giving and receiving, it’s just that we’re doing it in different ways! i hope this makes sense 💕

When I was a kid, I have a distinct memory of borrowing a laundry basket from my parents, and putting it back when I was done. Now, I hadn't put it back exactly where I saw it, and do you know the "punishment" I received? My entire room was completely trashed multiple times.

As an adult, I realize that the parent who did this wanted to teach me a lesson about respecting people's spaces enough to put things back in its proper place. I realize that it was supposed to be a kind of "eye for an eye" type of punishment, but that's not what I remember learning.

I remember learning as a kid, though: Never rely on other people for help, they will enact revenge on you. Don't go to other people. They will fucking hate you for it, they don't care about you enough, and the punishment you receive will be payment.

And in many ways, I still see this type of parenting being practiced. You aren't going to teach your kids jack shit by doing this. Kids' brains are typically not going to connect the dots the way yours is doing. A kid isn't going to have a grand sense of consequence because to them, they did a thing and then their parent fucking lost their mind.

What do you do instead? Preferably, you seek to communicate with them, show them the behaviour you want from them, and don't resort to corporal "punishment" or humiliation.
