Writeblr for newbies
So you joined Tumblr to talk about your writing. Maybe you're published and you want to promote your works, or maybe you're wanting a supportive community of fellow writers, or maybe you're just writing for the hell of it and want to show the world your blorbos.
Welcome!!
Being a part of the writing side of Tumblr is a little bit like being in kindergarten and all the kids are talking about their imaginary friends to each other. Except some of the kids have published stories about their imaginary friends in real books you can buy. It's so cool.
I have made some wonderful friends on Writeblr, I've ARC'd and beta'd books for people, and I've gotten a lot of warm fuzzies from sharing my snippets and my characters. It's somewhere between self-promo and group therapy, but it doesn't feel like either. It feels like a wonderful community of writers supporting each other.
The Writeblr lingo can seem a little intense at first so I thought I'd set up a guide. If I've missed anything lmk!
WIP - stands for 'work in progress' (plural: WIPs). Any piece of writing (or poetry, or any kind of art) that isn't completed yet. This might be the first draft of a story, or the nth draft of your novel, or the not-yet-posted chapter of the fanfiction you're writing. WIP is a state of mind: it might be nearly complete, or it might just be an idea with a few hundred words attached to it. Talk about it as much or as little as you want.
WIP intro - a totally optional (and honestly a lot of hard work sometimes lol) post explaining the main themes/background/plot/characters of your WIP. Something you can link people to so they good a good idea of your WIP and what it's about. Similarly, character intro, for individual characters within a WIP, often with art/picrews.
Tag game - the lifeblood of Writeblr! In its most basic form, someone tags you in a game, you play the game, then tag other people you want to play the game. Lots of people do 'open tags', which you can also pick up. These games can range from making picrews of your characters to posting a snippet or multiple snippets. A few common ones at the moment (these change often!) are: Find the Word (the tagger gives you words to find in your WIP, you post a short snippet for each word, then give the people you tag new words to find); Last Line (you post the last line(ish) you wrote, or wrote recently); 9 Lines 9 People (post 9(ish) recent lines, tag 9(ish) people). There are so many more, and new ones being created all the time.
Blorbo - your OC (original character) that lives in your mind rent-free. The one(s) you would commit war crimes for. You know the one I'm talking about. In addition, blorbo trading and sharing is encouraged in the Writeblr community.
Ask game - a post that you reblog, usually containing a list of prompts or questions, that encourages your followers to ask those questions in your ask box. It is friendly to drop an ask from the game to the person you reblogged the post from.
Weekly asks - if you've asked to take part, questions about your writing in your inbox, related to a certain day of the week. There's Worldbuilding Wednesday (WBW), which are questions about worldbuilding, Blorbo Blursday (OC questions), and Storyteller Saturday (STS), questions about writing in general. These questions can be very generic and vague, or can be about specific characters/stories.
Pinned Post - basically, an 'about' page. Talk about yourself, your WIPs, the kinds of things you like, whether you want to be involved in Writeblr games, whether your asks are open. You don't need one, but it can be a handy reference point for your followers.
Taglist - sometimes, Tumblr posts get lost on the dash. If you are interested in a particular WIP, ask the author if you can be put on their taglist, so you can get notified every time they post about it. They will love you for it, seriously!
Overall, on Writeblr, it is always encouraged:
to talk about your stories and characters as much as you like. People might not follow along at first, but they'll get on board!
to reblog others' writing/snippets/promo. We're all relying on each other for our sanity here, and a nice comment in the tags never goes amiss either!

Caleb Cooper:
This is the guy whose backstory keeps changing to make it sadder. He likes Jane Austen novels and hates feeling like a failure. Which he does. A lot.
Jack:
Jack is extremely difficult to make in picrews thanks to how weird his design has gotten over the years. This isn't even that accurate because he's supposed to have different skin tones between the stitches. Fun fact, this picrew game makes you choose between a face scar and a neck scar, so I just made two versions and put them together in MS Paint.
He likes poetry and music and his friends and the smell of green tea, and hates being talked over.
Sarah Cheung:
I used to do a lot more with Sarah; at one point I entered her into one of those OC art tournaments, but I dropped out after a couple rounds.
She likes singing and hates not being able to help when people are sad.
Rita Cheung Pruitt:
Rita's another OC that's gone through quite a bit of change, though I haven't talked about her nearly as much on Tumblr, if at all. As much as I love the sushicore picrew, there's only one body type option and Rita's supposed to be fat. It's hard to find picrews that look good and have more plus-size options.
She likes gardening and collecting animal bones, and hates littering.
Ryan Cheung Pruitt:
I used to roleplay with this guy. If you're wondering if I went for bisexual lighting on purpose, the answer is yes.
He likes arts and crafts and hates awkward social situations.
Maya Robinson:
Maya's just a cool werewolf lesbian that I'm very fond of.
She likes camping and collecting animal bones, and hates feeling like she's missing out.
Jake Molina:
Jake's one of the OCs I've talked about the least. He was pretty generic for a while, with his only discerning features being 'gay" and "telepathic", but at some point I was like "you know what this story's missing? A goth with a heart of gold" and Jake was enough of a blank slate for me to slap that on him and start turning him into an actual person.
He likes fibercrafts and hates big crowds.
Zuri Sullivan:
Out of all my characters, Zuri's been through the most change since her initial conception because proto-Zuri was a white boy whose name has been lost to time. The eyepatch is supposed to be on the left. The stuffed cat is plot-relevant.
She likes making plushies, and hates loud voices and the feeling of velvet.

I’M BACK
And I’m rebranding everything.

I took a long hiatus from writing and Tumblr in general because of bad burnout and putting expectations on myself that I shouldn’t have. Ha. But I’m back! And good news! I started writing again! Better news?
I decided to officially discontinue Emerald Embers and the Daylight’s Redemption series and write my own book.
I was already making everything so different from ToA that it was practically an alternate universe already: redesigning Merlin, making Merlin and Charlie familiars, adding magical species that weren’t explicitly in canon, completely changing other characters… I still love ToA, but I’m not hyperfixated on it anymore. And that’s okay. I was so scared of letting go for a long time, but I’m happy with my decision.
My wip is now called The King of the Nameless!
Currently, there are five main characters, and tidbits about each of them will be a little further down. (Except for one guy. He sucks.) Their attempted designs will also be down there.
In some aspects, it probably hasn’t changed too much. I’m still basing it off of Arthurian Legends, and Merlin is still the protagonist. But I redesigned him. Again.
The deuteragonist is Charlie; he and Merlin are still familiars. I tried several different names for him, but none of them would stick for him no matter how hard I tried; so Charlie the dragon he stays. But he now has the last name Ambrosius to reflect that he and Merlin are found family as well.
The other three characters in this stage of the story are Igraine, Gorlois, and Uther.
Igraine is Arthur and Morgana’s mother in the Arthurian Legends, (which I did not know at first and was wondering how Arthur and Morgana were half-siblings because they have different fathers…) and will stay the same here. I couldn’t find any official last name for her besides Pendragon from when she marries Uther? (Which is not going to happen here.) So I gave her and her husband the last name “le Fay” to match their daughter!
Gorlois is Igraine’s husband, and like I said, is Morgana’s father. However, unlike some media, he’s not going to be portrayed as a jealous and abusive husband. He’s the epitome of the “I love my wife” guy.
Uther is… a piece of work, to say the least. He’s the character who’s going to have a separate post because of triggering topics that I don’t want in this post.
I’m also going to make a separate post for upcoming characters, which include Nimue, Morgana, Arthur, etc.
Bear with me on lore and designs though please (I’m still working on the lore and I’m not sure if these will be their permanent designs except for Charlie). Some of it might be just random babble until I decide on something 😭 You’ll definitely be able to tell which characters I think about most ahaha.
Anyways, in more good news, I don’t use Artbreeder anymore. I attempt to use Picrews, but sometimes they don’t have everything I want, so I also use character creators from video games. If I could use Baldur’s Gate 3’s, I definitely would, but I’d have to spend like $600-ish to get something to play it on and get the game. 😑 I could also play it with my boyfriend, but our schedules are so busy with both of us working that’s it not really a convenient option.
But there is a game called Dragon’s Dogma, and I’ve been using that one! It’s an older game, so it doesn’t really have many fantasy character options, but it’s good enough for human characters lol. I made Igraine and Gorlois with it, and a few other characters yet to be posted.
Design and lore time!
Merlin:
This is him at the beginning of TKN! Expect more art of him eventually.
• 6' 8"
• “my son crump he has every disease”: schizophrenia, C-PTSD, misophonia
• is still a cambion like in the Arthurian Legends (specifically half-human, half-demon)
• was supposed to be the Anti-Christ (also like in the Legends)
• is also a romance and sex repulsed, non-partnering aroace <3.
• usually excudes a regal, dignified presence, and his preference for flowing outfits helps
• may seem slightly formal with strangers, but on a good day where he can clock their personality, he’ll either warm up to them quickly, or distance himself, depending on the person
• has a strong sense of justice, which also makes him anti-authoritarian for the most part. (unless they’ve actually proven that they’re not just in their position for the power of it, or because of nepotism; and really do want to help people.)
• extremely loyal
• highly empathetic; cries easily
• has a lot of trauma, but is still kind because he’s not going to make people suffer just because he did
• adrenaline junkie in regards to flying with Charlie
• Doesn’t kill if not necessary.
• Is very punctual. If you tell him to come at 5 he’ll be there at 4:30. At most.
Charlie:
• 6' 6" (top of muzzle)
• 7' 3" (top of head)
• the marking on his leg is his familiar mark!
• still nice, seems a little rougher around the edges than Merlin
• says the things that his wizard thinks but won’t say, and doesn’t hide that he stares people down while gauging their character. he sometimes won’t care that he sounds mean or very direct either
• very protective of his familiar and is intensely loyal to him. isn’t really willing to leave the latter alone with people they don’t really know because of people attempting to take advantage of his schizophrenia in the past, gaslighting him into thinking that their actions weren’t real and were things he hallucinated/imagined
• Do no harm but take no shit
• Far more willing to kill than Merlin
• “Hey do you want me to kill that guy for you? Because it sounds like he sucks and I will totally kill that guy for you.”
• (I guess he technically counts as an emotional support animal but like. he’s sentient so idk 😭)
• is an omnivore (most dragons are, but he eats more human food than them from growing up and staying around them.)
Igriane:
• 6' 5"
• a wizard!
• was originally a red head before I realized that oh yeah. Morgana has brown hair, and a ginger and blonde would definitely not for the most part have a brunette kid
• purple eyes (haven’t decided if I’m gonna stay with this concept, but I like the idea of all wizards having some type of heterochromia, or technicolor eyes to show that they have magic)
Gorlois:
• 6' 0"
• he doesn’t have any type of unique eye color yet because I didn’t have the concept of that for wizards yet, and still not sure if I’m gonna keep it so. blue eyes for now
• again I say he’s the “I love my wife” guy!!
• also a wizard (which is where Morgana gets her magic when she’s born. You have two parents with magic you’re like. guaranteed to have magic.)
• maybe not really much of a fighter? Would probably use some type of sword if he was.

Could you guys do a list for gorgon picrews/snake hair picrews?? Pls it's so hard to find a good one
Hi! I am just one singular guy unfortunately lol so sorry this has taken forever to respond to (this also applies to the other 30 messages sitting in my ask box sorry)
Unfortunately I don't know any that would work well for male/masculine characters (though some of the following could work, especially if the character is very young)

3 ships: How about... Mia/Moreau from Resident Evil Village... Emmet/Johanna from Pokemon... And... (former) Wheeljack/Shockwave from Transformers Cyberverse lol
I like a lot of ships. And I know. I’m disappointed that two of these are straight too. But Mia/Moreau is my weird little monsterfucker ship that I and only I enjoy from the RE8 fandom, and I’ve been working on something for my Coordinator!Emmet AU which would eventually (probably) end with Emmet and Johanna getting platonically married to meme on Ingo and for tax benefits lol. Wheeljack/Shockwave is here because I’ve recently been watching Transformers: Cyberverse and Wheeljack and Shockwave are TOTALLY exes and I love it! Shockwave’s probably my favorite character in Cyberverse since its version of Starscream is just... SO BAD! Cyberverse has a good version of Shockwave. Still has that classic loyalty from gen 1, while being an unethical scientist like later iterations. Also he kept his severed hand around and programmed it to float around and do stuff for him, and I find that HILARIOUS! Cyberverse Shockwave is a good iteration of him! Even though his vibes are RANCID lol.
Oh, but as a bonus to the person who tagged me, @penquinlori and I have talked A LOT about Bernadette Beneviento/Salvatore Moreau as an idea. Basically the idea was that Sal was engaged to Bernadette (Donna’s aunt) some time before he started undergoing the cadou experiments. At some point Miranda took Bernadette for experiments and she died. Sal was away from the village at the time and so was never really made privy to what happened to his fiance. Sal’s brother Mihai may have also been involved in all of this too. It’s all very heartbreaking and I love it. >:3c And we’ve both been working on fic that features this relationship. :p
1st ever ship: I think it must’ve been... Naruto/Hinata from Naruto...? Because that was the first fandom that I like... REALLY got into...? Yeah, boring, I know. Like maybe I shipped May/Ash from Pokemon before that? Hard to say. But I remember shipping Naruto/Hinata pretty hard when I was a kid. Though I did have an OC that I made to be with Gaara lol
last song: If we’re not counting the theme song from the Ghost and Molly McGee or the music from Encanto... According to Spotify the last song I listened to was Smoke Damage by Hi I’m Case. Though I’ve also had Sarah by the Derina Harvey Band and Never Love an Anchor by The Crane Wives stuck in my head lately lol
last movie: Encanto (I just wanted a good cry, you know? Honestly, I didn’t cry as much as I would have liked. I could probably use some more good cries. >.< )
currently reading: Uhhhhhh... I’m REAL bad about reading things. I’m a very slow reader and can mostly only focus on like... Manga... (Which I’ll read a volume in one sitting) so the best I can come up with is like... Metro 2033...? Which I haven’t gotten around to reading in like... Over a year... >.< I guess you can maybe count The Promised Neverland too. I like reading that one when I go to the library.

Various Picrews Of My Characters
Gonna be kinda long to scroll thru just cuz of the amount of images so im putting it under a read more :)
Just in case you aren't aware. Picrew is a site that hosts artist made character makers. So none of these are my own art. Most of them have a signature on them if you want to look up the artist. If not, ask me and i can probably find the picrew link to give you.
Also as a note: none of these are 100% accurate. Theyre picrews, not my actual art so of course not every detail will be correct.

Au ideas:
So i have a lot of "Bad End" Aus floating around where Ai does give in to Volo's allure of making a better world. I mean, hasn't she suffered enough? Hasn't she worked hard enough for it? In the end i think all it comes down to is Ai's familial bond with Ingo versus her romantic bond with Volo. Who managed to make a bigger impact on her after she was kicked out by Kamado? If it was Volo then i genuinely think she could be swayed to work with him to confront Arceus. In this particular version of it i think the two would strike a deal. Ai pretends to take on Volo and win. Everything continues as normal up until she fights + captures arceus. Suddenly she's giggling like a madwoman. Volo and her had done it. Arceus was hers. But the two quickly realize it isn't enough power in this sliver of Arceus to actually remake the world. But. It was enough to remake themselves. And to change some things. At this point Ai has mostly regained her memory of modern day, and she wants back. Volo wants into her time as well. It sounds so much better than the miserable place they were stuck. Ai just wants to see Orion again and show him how powerful she's become! And wants NOTHING to do with her dad ever again. So her and Volo reforge their own bodies. Volo changes almost nothing, being who he is this isn't very surprising. Ai just wants her hair color gone. The last reminder of her dad. She wants Orions hair color. Why couldn't she have gotten that to begin with? And while she's at it, Orion always had such pretty eyes. She'll look just like her big brother! (That's who she think Orion is with her not all quite there memory. . An older brother who moved out, leaving her alone with her dad. But she doesn't blame him. She would leave too if she could have.) Ai is someone full of a lot of love. She loves Orion so so So much. And she loves Volo so so So much. But in two very different ways. In this Au they arent exactly....healthy ways. She becomes obsessive. And Volo just feeds into it. He adores how dedicated she is to him. And he's dedicated to her as well. She controls Arceus, and she could beat him in battle so he respects her a LOT. Anyway, they go back to modern times, bringing a VERY concerned Ingo along with them. (Ingo knows they shouldn't be doing this. And Ai seems so... different. But he just wants to go home) When the three arrive in modern Unova Orion and Emmet are relieved but when Orion sees Ai they are.... surprised to say the least. They are greeted by basically a tiny femme version of himself...? Ai seems ecstatic, almost maniacally so, and explains to Orion what happened and introduces Volo. Orion finds something familiar in Volos appearance, but chooses to ignore it for now as more pressing matters are at hand. Orion seems concerned, even somewhat judgemental of Ais actions, but when Ai's anger quickly flares and Volo gets a very dangerous look in his eyes with his hand on a pokeball Orion backs off. Orion can clearly see how unstable Ai is but he doesn't know what to do. One false move and Ai might just remake him as well, changing him to a puppet that fits her fantasy world. Anyway yeah thats where i left off in the daydream lol. This will never be canon but its fun to think of what ifs :)
Young Orion: The teen years
He spent a lot of time with Ai at this point in time and was starting getting serious in his fashion pursuits. Ai was dropped off at him and Aerow's parents house a lot so Orion + his parents could babysit Ai while Aerow and his wife wanted to have a date night. The barretes were placed there by Ai(they were in her hair originally, but toddler Ai knew orion liked stars and so she confidently decided they belonged on him now)
Ai Visits Oliver:
I do have an eventual meet up for Ai, Oliver, Hime, and Wyv planned one day. Despite 3 of them being based in Unova and only one in Galar, Oliver manages to convince them to meet up in Galar if they pay for the travel expenses. (Oliver is uh... a tad loaded after becoming champion) Oliver cannot wait to brag and show them around Galar so they tell the other 3 to bring "nothing but the essentials". Oliver (after FINALLY getting to reveal their the galar champion) then takes them all on a shopping spree to get the clothes they will be wearing in Galar. Oliver manages to convince Ai to get some more dressy clothes while they are out and about.
Nova, A Messy Introduction:
Nova is a name for another OC who i ended up scrapping. But i realized the name Nova fit my character from Violet VERY well. And i wanted to turn her appearance into an OC anyway. (yeah if u ever wonder why my OCs that are the "main" character for that game story are girly looking its cuz i think "pretty" or "cute" looking characters are more fun to play as. Whether that be male of female is fine w me but u usually get better clothing options as a girl character ofc that didnt end up mattering this time around.) Anyway, meet Nova! She is originally from Paldea but moved to Galar with her mom at the age of 7. 6 years later at the age of 13 Nova moved back to Paldea with her mom. This makes her the youngest of any main characters. She is very childlike and innocent in a lot of ways and is also very proper. The idea of being anything other than a perfect mannered kid is somewhat appalling to her. However, her idea of prefect mannered isn't always the same as everyone else's. She doesn't follow rules, she follows morals? in a way? Which 90% of the time lines up with whatever rules are in place. However if something is against the rules but the correct thing to do she won't even consider before she does it. She doesn't really think before acting as she always has her mind made up pretty early on. Very confident but not in an arrogant way. She isn't your typical middle schooler kid and isn't rude or angsty like many others end up being. She is naturally very curious and loves to do well in anything she tries. A bit of Gifted Kid Syndrome and doesn't know how to handle failure. And take all of this w a grain of salt im just brainstorming lol
Ai At A Festival In Hisui:
She would love dressing up and always is planning her outfit to be made at the tailor's the second she hears about an upcoming event. That festival hosted at the end of the game was so much fun and it was wonderful seeing al her hard work paying off.
Bad End Ai Versus Normal Ai:
Quite a difference if i have to say. Normal Ai is still a lil not ok after everything. But she is generally a very well adjusted adult. Just a little prone to panic attacks and could body slam you into next tuesday both physically and in a pokemon battle. Also a lot more confident after everything. But also unable to have confidence in a lot of ways? Like i said she's a lil not ok.
More Nova:

Unnamed Water/Ghost Trainer:
I've drawn her a couple times but have no concrete ideas for her. I just know she has really long hair that looks kinda wet and i wanter her to have "drowned ghost" vibes.

I literally love him so much. I wish i could draw dudes easier cuz he's such a great character and i've had so many ideas for his character recently.
Young Ai.... she's so smol...:
Look at how small the bby is. This is an older picrew i did of her, you can tell cuz she still had blue eyes in this one instead of gold. But yeah this is young Ai before she even started dying her hair. She probably still had a pretty good relationship w her dad and was still pretty messed up over the death of her mom but wasn't an overly unhappy kid all things considered.
Another "Bad End" Ai:
So basically, she dies after getting kicked out of Jubilfe. She at first tries to make her way to Ingo but manages to freeze to death in the snowy area after being attacked by a pokemon before reaching him. So she turns into a hisuian zoroark. And yeah basically thats it. She's a ghost now and takes her death out on everyone she can get her hands on. Eventually rumors of the banished member of the galaxy team reach Jubilife and Rei goes out to investigate. She spares him and tells him what happened, promising that when she returns to Jubilfe to take out Kamado that she would leave Rei and Laventon alone. Rei nervously thanks her and on sking legs runs back to the nearest base camp where Laventon is. Rei talks to him and they now have to figure out what to do about her. Basically i just like making Ai turn evil and want revenge on the world. She can have a little murder. As a treat :)
Brooke and Merida:
Two of Olivers friends. They are a tft lesbian couple who specialize in water and fire types respectively. And by that i mean Brooke (the red one) owns a vaporeon as their main pokemon and Meridas (the blue one) ace is a flareon. Yeah. They think its hilarious. Both of em are pretty big gamers and are the only two Oliver would hesitantly admit are better than them at something.
Despite the fact that i could keep adding picrews forever and ever i'm going to stop here as to not make it obscenely long. Expect a part 2 :)

Searching up pics for black people and dark skinned characters horror stories:
(A) A good chunk of the pictures I've saved seem to have disappeared. Which is part of why I save them bc I may never find them again.
(B) Whenever I search up 'black mermaids' all the options I used to have seem to be gone
(C) having to use more than one search browser
(D) too much time spent searching for pictures of dark skinned characters in wheelchairs. The ones I found are OCs or characters in one specific drawing style. Nothing wrong with ocs but why no non OC dark skinned wheelchair characters?
(E) It's hard to find pics of more than one dark skinned character
(F) I have to rely on racebended art a lot. There's nothing wrong with racebend but I'd also like original black characters too
(G) I just searched up dark skinned kid. Most of my results were adults.
(H) I spent HOURS looking for non-sexualized (okay, any pictures bc there's like 5, but also non sexualized) pictures of dark skinned muscular girls
(I) varying my search multiple times
(J) Searched up black character/comic. Gets WHITE (or asian) characters or dark comics.
(K) Searched up brown eyed characters. Gets a lot of green/blue eyed. Searched up blue eyed/green eyed characters. Gets a lot of brown eyes.
(L) Barely any black princesses except tiana
(M) barely any black girls in long dresses
(N) sometimes I have to be less specific (aka can't search up more than one specific-like eyes, dresses, hair color,etc-at a time) to get anything
(O) Having to rely on stock photos bc they're the only option
(P) Having to make compromises and use photos that are similar to my ocs and yet not completely right bc it's the only option
(Q) I once couldn't find a picture of a black haired boy with green eyes. I remember the hair color was wrong, and the one photo I found didn't really look like my OC
(R) Somehow, the internet has gotten both better and worse. I can find the stuff I used to be unable to find, but everything else went bye bye
(S) Struggled to find any dark skinned male mermaids. I think one of the few I found was pjo fanart.
(T) No black fat mermaids in wheelchairs-I was looking for a picture to show a friend too
(U) Limited plus sized girl options
(V) started using doll divine and picrew because they're easier than looking for what I want
(W) I got burnt out from looking for pics and looking for pics (provided there's options) is fun
(X) Staring enviously at the multiple pics that would fit my criteria but they're white
(Y) less dark skinned girls with non-black hair than white girls
(Z) White character pics having better stuff overall + being easier to search for + I can find what I want provided it's white

I agree with all of these especially F, G, and H. J reminds me of when I look up stuff related to Black girls but instead get white or Asian girls with black hair, K is fucking with you and L and M are just...sigh.

Phineas in Picrews
Because I cannot draw, I spend a lot of time using Picrews and apps like Lily Diary creating my characters to help solidify what they look like (contained in the context of whatever style I find). And of course, the MAJORITY of them are anime/manga style, so they all end up looking much younger and more cartoony than I prefer, but here's some good ones I found to create Mr Morgan.
(The first two since they don't have the creator's name in there)
Finn's hair is pretty consistently more like the third one's (soft and wavy/fluffy over spiky/ruffled), but his defining physical characteristics are that he is a bit androgynous in the face and that he has albinism (lacks pigment in skin/eyes/hair). Because he is so specific looking it's hard to find the right creator to capture just how pale he actually is alongside the androgyny - that third option is as close as I could find so far to capture MOST of his attributes without appearing too overtly masc/fem. I can usually only find red for the eye colour on most of these as well, but his eyes are pinkish typically - he is a "real" person after all, and most people with albinism don't have DARK red eyes, they're usually a pinkish/violet and appear red in photos most often. Essentially I just work with what I can find to get close enough.
It is FUN to make these, I'll admit, because I really like putting some life into the characters this way They're names on a document for me the majority of the time and live solely in my head from the pages, so giving Phineas facial expressions, clothes, features, etc. is really enjoyable!
I will share Manny and Vi in the weeks to come - funnily enough I found some Picrews from a creator that captured each of them pretty perfectly, I'm so pleased!

Artbreeder is a website that lets you make face claims by mashing different faces and facial features together. Sometimes the results are a bit weird but it's super fun to use. You can merge faces and use gene sliders to make unique AI generated faces that can look real or like a painting. There are also anime and furry versions but they don't work as well.

Vroid
App/desktop program, anime mostly..
Vroid runs on both android and desktop but the desktop version is very in-depth, you can edit textures and sculpt hair so the options are infinite. If you have a little knowledge on blender and unity you can upload your models to vrchat and let your headmates walk around and socialize without appearance dysphoria (I've done this myself it's super fun.) I recommend Argama witch's tutorials if you have never made a model before.

This is a cute anime style 3d modeler app, it's similar to the android version of vroid but as far as I'm aware you can't upload these to vrchat. There is a face tracking option meant for vtubing though. You can create both male and female characters.

I don't recommend getting this game just for the "create a sim" as the unmodded base game doesn't have too much variety. You can build houses too. (Link)

Guess who got himself a profile
Template made by unfinished-projects-galore, sprite made using this picrew (with slight colour adjusting on my side).
More information, explanations, and further ramblings about the creation process under the cut
Starting with the name, Jure. His full name is Juraj, a Slavic equivalent of "George", but he goes by Jure because I love the concept of yuusonas with names that start with the "yuu" sound, whereas Juraj is a short yu </3
I edited the sprite to be a smidge darker, so it seems a bit awkward, but the skin colour options didn't have much of a range OTZ he's Mediterranean, so he has a tan.
Despite being a first year in Night Raven College, I've made him 18 purely because I thought it'd be funny if he just graduated secondary school, only to be thrown into another one. By my canon, he got isekai'd barely an hour after finishing his last school end exam. The birthday was chosen randomly, as with all my OCs, and his height fits the lower-end of the average height of young men in southern Croatia. I have to find a way to excuse the fact that Floyd would call him Little Shrimpy, but I think Floyd can and would use irony sometimes.
He is good at embroidery and does it as a hobby because I love when male characters are good at domestic things his grandmother taught him when he was a child, and the learning process is one of his fonder memories. He mostly does traditional embroidery, and often uses it to mend clothes as well as just for decoration. He's Croatian, specifically from the Dalmatia region, because I just thought it'd be funny to have a Dalmatian in Crewel's class. Get it, because- because Crewel is twisted from Cruella and- and Jure is Dal-
Similarly to the age reasoning, I decided he'd be a bit of a neat-freak because I wanna make him suffer a bit tbh and he would likely get a heart attack when entering Ramshackle for the first time. He's also a generally doubtful person; he doesn't like superstitions and magic, cards and astrology, all of those things that can't exactly be proven by numbers. That's why he has a hard time adjusting to the world of Twisted Wonderland, too. He also doubts people, Jure isn't the most trusting person, which makes it harder for him to make deep connections with people. I gave him those two traits because I figured it'd make for an interesting character arc - being forced to cooperate with ADeuce and even Grim, whom he'd known for mere days by the time Riddle overblots, and later with the rest of the first years and other characters would be good to make him a more open and trusting person. Likewise, being thrust into a world where magic exists might make him a more, how do I say, open-minded person? Suddenly having all of his beliefs and assumptions flipped on their head like that, I mean. Anyway, despite all that hatred for the unprovable, Jure's best friend was really into astrology and he's picked up some things about it, which made him seem like a natural talent at the subject, much to his chagrin.
I usually make game OCs only after I finish the entire game, but alas. I'll flesh out his arc completely once Diasomnia comes out, but for now, here's the general overview of who he is at the beginning of the story, and what I want to make of him by the end.

So I made an update to my fnaf security breach oc
For starters Rose is no longer a spotted hyena but instead a snow leopard!
She’s pretty much got the same look of a snow leopard but her spots are a mix of purple and white! She has pink eyes, nose, and paw pads! And her ears, hair, and tail are purple as well! Her spots also glow in the dark for awesome black light roller skating! (Not pictured is that her tail still has white and purple spots like a regular snow leopard, the picrew just didn’t give the option for that)
So her name is still Rosie and in the pizzaplex she runs her own roller rink called Rose’s roller rink!
She’s also apart of the Fazbear band playing an electric keyboard and singing backup! Outside of when she’s performing, she’s mostly seen roaming around the place or inside of her roller rink
Inside the roller rink, Rose hosts roller skating dance parties, games, and many other fun activities! She also helps kids learn how to roller skate and whenever they need help starting out, she lets kids hold onto her long tail and skates around, pulling them around with her
She has a lot of 80s aesthetics (and because I can’t draw so I had to use a picrew) and plays a lot of 80s music at her roller rink. She has a stomach hatch like Freddy does and uses it to carry around her own specialty made roller skates which makes her incredibly fast when she has them on, other times she uses her hatch the same way Freddy does with birthday cakes and presents
Her personality is pretty much the same except she’s a bit anxious at times. She’s still very caring and has a motherly personality but she gets anxious very easily and when she gets anxious, she often holds her own tail for comfort (like some snow leopards do!)
When Rose is hacked and is looking for Gregory, he must be quick to find a hiding place because she is zipping around the place on her roller skates and she is incredibly fast because of it. She can be heard calling out to Gregory promising that she doesn’t want to hurt him and only wants to help him but of course Gregory doesn’t believe her deception for one second
The way Gregory decommissions her is when he is inside her roller rink, he must dodge her as much as he can while trying to throw various things at this massive disco ball that hangs in the middle of the room to get it to fall. Once he gets it to fall, it lands on Rose and crushes her lower body and allows Gregory to take her roller skates and use them to upgrade Freddy and make him faster
After being decommissioned, Rose can be found frantically crawling around on the ground, only able to pull herself along with her hands since she can’t stand up. She can be heard crying about how she can’t feel her tail and she can’t grab it for comfort or crying out for her friends to help her since she can’t stand up
Now enough angst, it’s time for the good shit! So Rose has a very obvious crush on Roxy and her friends and the kids sometimes tease her about it. Rose of course is too nervous to express her feelings for the wolf so she tries to keep her feelings to herself but eventually it makes it’s way to Roxy who thinks it’s amusing that she’s trying so hard to hide her very obvious crush
It isn’t until one night on stage that during the middle of a duet that Rose and Roxy were doing did Roxy finally tell her that she felt the same and they shared a kiss near the end of the song
Of course Fazbear marketing took advantage of that afterwards and now most Rose and Roxy merchandise are often sold together to not only wrack up the price and make more money but also to “not split the lovely couple up”
After that day, Roxy and Rose can now be seen visiting each other in Rose’s roller rink and in Roxy race way. They can be seen skating together or dancing to some cheesy old 70s/80s love songs in the roller rink or racing each other in the raceway
Rose has their initials painted with a heart on her roller skates and Roxy has their initials carved onto her go kart
Rose and Roxy both help each other out with their problems. Rose reassuring Roxy whenever her self esteem gets low and Roxy helping Rose whenever her anxiety gets out of hand
Some more facts about Rose, she was programmed to accommodate all kinds of children, she knows sign language for any deaf or hard of hearing children and in her roller rink she has a quiet area off to the side that she can take kids to whenever they get overstimulated. She also is programmed to always help a crying or lost child

Seeing as how long I have been a HUGE fan of the airbender series (ATLA), it's actually kind of ridiculous that I never got into the fandom. Anyway, humor me while I go through each of my ocs and babble about their roles, histories, and bending styles in the ATLA universe! Also please excuse the fact that they had zero afro-textured options for hair in this one lol.

Kipling ~ Waterbender | Northern-style waterbending, vine/plant-bending, healing
Water Tribe Babeyyyyy
I don't really see Kip hailing from the Southern or Northern Water Tribes, but rather from a coastal village that developed after a handful of Southern Water Tribe hostages escaped one of the prisoner of war strongholds in the Earth Kingdom. I mean, if Hama (The Puppetmaster) and the plant benders from Foggy Swamp were any indication, there were water benders scattered all over the Earth Kingdom during Lord Ozai's military campaign.
Bending-wise, Kip has always been an average waterbender, whose bending is strongest when she's manipulating the water in plants and vines. When she comes of age, she is determined to advance her skills and find a way to serve her tribe more directly. So she travels to the Northern Water Tribe to seek an apprenticeship. There Kip advances her skills in traditional water bending forms (because up until then, her methods have been rather unorthodox) as well as her affinity for healing.
While Kip is up north, she does get close to Princess Yue in their healing classes. For a long time, Kip develops what she believes is a stupid crush, but eventually discovers the Princess has mutual feelings. Step aside, Sokka, you ain't the only one. Kip and Yue explore their relationship, but only briefly until the guilt and paranoia of getting caught and tarnishing Yue's reputation catches up to them. Kip ends up leaving in the dead of night leaving nothing but - you guessed it - a poem for Yue to find.
Kip happens to be one of the travelers Team Avatar meets while they're on the road. It's quite some time after the invasion of the Northern Water Tribe. This is after Yue has passed on, but before the group reaches Ba Sing Se. Both being kind of self-taught waterbenders, Kip and Katara bond very easily. Kip has a hard time being around Sokka since it's the first time she's felt something for someone since Yue. Still, despite Kip's efforts to ignore Sokka, they end up bonding over a lot of stuff, both stupid and serious. I'm not going to go into details about what went down when they inevitably learned of each other's past relationships with Yue, but yes, there were lots of emotions. A lot of Kip trying to run away and shake herself of Sokka. A lot of Sokka battling between pursuing her or leaving her alone. It's a mess. And no I still don't know how it turns out. Haven't planned it out that far.
After Ozai is defeated, Kip makes her living as a traveling waterbending instructor with her good Earth Kingdom friend, Khleo. She travels the territories, finding hidden water tribes and informing them of the fall of Ozai. She works with Khleo and the community members to open smalls schools, closely modeled after the earthbending schools in Omashu.

Khleo ~ Earthbender | earthbending, sandbending, lavabending
Khleo had a rocky start to their journey. Sorry, I couldn't help it.
They were born in an area that bordered on the Si Wong Desert and the mountain chain dividing the land from Chameleon Bay (where they later meet Kipling.) Naturally, Khleo picks up a little bit from each of the known forms of earth manipulation. Although they develop into a fully realized master by the time they reach adulthood, they don't ever try their hand at meltalbending when it starts to gain popularity after the fall of Ozai.
Khleo grew up poor and had to resort to unsavory business ventures with the local sandbenders in order to keep food on the table. But since they were the sole bender that could calm down the nearby volcanoes whenever they acted up, they were always regarded as a hero within the community.
Eventually, the Fire Nation finds a way to complicate Khleo's existence and they have to flee their home. First, they cross the mountain range to Chameleon Bay, where they meet the waterbender Kipling, who they easily bond with. Khleo and Kip travel together for some time until they run into Jet and his crew. Jet's lifestyle appeals to Khleo, who was tired of roughing it. But Kip takes one look at Jet and knows that he's bad news. She and Khleo part ways.
Like most of the kids in Jet's crew, Khleo blinded themself to his activities in order to survive and stay connected to a family group. But when his actions become too hard for them to go along with, they abandon the Freedom Fighters and go to go look for work elsewhere.
Khleo had set their sights on Omashu, where they believed they could earn an honest living and still practice their bending without the eyes of the Fire Nation bearing down on them. The journey was tough and Khleo had a few brushes with death, but they made it to Omashu. There they were immediately hired by a cabbage vendor who struggled in the past with keeping his wares in one piece. Khleo guarded his cabbage stand for all but a week before they were noticed by some Omashu academy trainers. They offered Khleo a job as an instructor in multiple earthbending forms. Surprised, but very willing, Khleo accepted. Eventually, Khleo was inducted into the Order of the White Lotus.
Years later, Khleo reunites with a very emotionally scarred Kipling. She stays with them until the capture of King Bumi, after which they quickly leave the city so that they can carry out the will of the White Lotus in hopes to undermine the Fire Nation's plan to conquer the Earth Kingdom on the day of Sozin's Comet 2.0.

Ozy ~ The Avatar Firebender/Airbender hybrid | firebending, airbending
Ozy's kind of special. He has an affinity for two elements.
He was born in the Fire Nation in a very, very small village on the coast of Crescent Island. When Ozy's parents noticed that their child was something of a prodigy, they brought him straight to the Fire Sages.
Now, there was a split among the sages. Some were loyal to Lord Ozai while others were secretly members of the Order of the White Lotus. One of the members recognized Ozy's affinity for airbending very early on and did everything they could to protect him.
Without being able to say goodbye to his parents or getting an explanation for what was happening, Ozy was sent to the Western Air Temple (you know, the cool upsidedown one) where he learned airbending with the help of older White Lotus members as well as spiritual experts like Guru Pathik (the same guru who taught Aang how to navigate the Avatar State.)
As Ozy became more and more enlightened, he came to believe that his gift was not a rare one. When he was not actively practicing the rudimentary components of bending, he was meditating on the factors that led the majority of people to believe that the ability to bend was inherited based on the ethnic and cultural group into which they were born. He thought that while this was true to some degree, additional affinities could be unlocked through the forgotten teachings of the Air Nomads.
To test his theory, Ozy went on a very dangerous journey to the Library in the Si Wong Desert, where he met and became very bonded to Uncle Iroh. Thankfully, Iroh and Ozy managed to not get eaten by the Library's spiritual patron. Later, Ozy declined Iroh's invitation to the Order of the White Lotus, instead choosing to retire to the Northern Air Temple. Thre he ended up assisting the mechanists with the construction of the flight technology (part of which had already been stolen and weaponized by the Fire Nation.) Ozy never left the Northern Air Temple to help in the fight against Ozai. Instead, he remained and became the first of the Air Acolytes, from which grows a community that later founded Air Temple Island and discovered the next child born into the Avatar Cycle - Korra of the Water Tribe.

Sun Bai ~ Airbender | proficient in airbending. Technically.
Bai, unfortunately, did not discover that he was an airbender until he was well into his twenties. The only way he unlocked his affinity for bending was through a traumatic event, the effects of which he managed to suppress for several years. It wasn't until Bai found himself in another flight or fight situation that he spontaneously called upon his connection to the air element. (Turns out Ozy was kind of right!)
Once Bai realized what he was made of, he made it a point to gather as much knowledge on the subject as he could. Everything that he came to understand about bending was self-taught. Meditation came more naturally to him, but even that required additional training, discipline, and theory to fully master. (He was basically the opposite of Avatar Korra, who picked up on the manual technique of airbending quite easily, but struggled with its spiritual component.)
Bai didn't really play a role in the fight against Lord Ozai. He didn't run into any of the Trio or Team Avatar. His journey didn't really start until after the war. At which point he meets General Adrenaline, and then later, Sascha of the Water Tribe.
General Rosario Adrenaline ~ Firebender | firebending, master in lightning redirection
Like Ozy, Adrenaline was another firebending prodigy. (In fact, it was Adrenaline who worked very closely with Princess Azula to hone her lightning redirection technique.) Eventually, Nali's skills were exploited to the fullest in the Fire Nation's military campaign, but long before that, firebending for her was a means to perform and entertain the masses.
Adrenaline grew up in the same circus troupe as Ty Lee! They had been best friends since childhood and ended up escaping together.
While Princess Azula always favored Ty Lee and Mei over Nali as bodyguards, she often went to Nali for "companionship." Azula kept her relationship with Nali very private. It lasted well into Azula's teenage years and got pretty serious. Though neither of them considered themselves in love with the other (just due to the fact that there was so much of a strain on them thanks to social hierarchy, and Azula being Azula) Nali developed a very deep, unhealthy loyalty to Azula, that in the end, resulted in her banishment from protecting the royal family.
After she was banished, Nali linked up with Zuko, who wasn't really all that happy about it, but Iroh steps in and gives the wise compassionate uncle lecture. Zuko folds and Nali becomes one his crew!
Nali and Azula continue to pursue their relationship. And now that it started to hinge on whenever Azula came around to fuck with Zuko's head, you can imagine how even more unhealthy and eventually toxic it became. Nali was torn between her loyalty to Azula versus her loyalty to Zuko. And Azula... didn't really care. It was a mess. Didn't end pretty.
Only after Azula was imprisoned by her brother did Nali finally wipe her hands completely clean of the Fire Nation's royal family. Not really caring what was happening in the rest of the world, she stumbled around from territory to territory, drinking, gambling, and taking up muscle for hire gigs to keep herself afloat. Until she meets and unexpectedly bonds with a very lazy monk, who needed an escort through the Serpent's Pass.

Sascha ~ Nonbender | weapons specialist - firearms and projectiles
Solo ~ Waterbender | Southern-style waterbending, bloodbending
Sascha and Solo were both students of Hama. Nuff said.
Although the twins soaked up much of Hama's ruthless, yet practical attitude towards survival, they just didn't inherit her very deep, eternal loathing for the Fire Nation.
They also realized that she was pretty messed up.
When Sascha and Solo were of age, they made a clean break from Hama and decided to open up a business in one of the towns along the mountainside.
Having grown up in the Fire Nation colonies, Sascha and Solo were very used to hiding their connection to their Water Tribe heritage. They blended in well and opened their garment and optics shop. It was a strange combination, but they managed to stake their claim in the community.
However, the two of them were still very clear enemies of the Fire Nation. They rebelled by getting the information out to other Water Tribe refugees living in hiding. Solo taught bloodbending in his self defense classes (which was much easier for him to pull off rather than traditional waterbending because it required less physical labor and thus did not put as much of a strain on his body.)
Meanwhile, Sascha would show Water Tribe nonbenders how to assemble firearms, which at the time, were considered still very new and dangerous technology.
Solo was happy with their life, but Sascha grew bored and restless. She wanted an adventure.
Then one day a very strange monk winds up wounded on her doorstep in the middle of the night. He's riddled with bullets - the kind of which only Fire Nation militia and Sascha herself would know how to remove and treat the damage they could cause...

hi! do you happen to have any picrews that work more for eladrins? as in flowers, ice, and such, they're very season based and also elfs, which are a hard combo to find! if not, understandable and thank you for your time :D
Hi! Thanks so much for your patience while I researched and put together a response for this (for real, I know it only took me about a thousand years)
I'm sure there's more so I will most likely do a follow up at a later date but for now here are a few options I know of that could work for Eladrin in all their seasons:
RPG Husband Generator by Drudenkreuz

This picrew is one of my go-to's for male fantasy characters and elf-wise the ears are some of the best in this list (so big! so pointy!) That said it is masculine-leaning and the muscular body type isn't typical for elves, so this won't be suitable for all eladrin.
Spring - Definitely lacking here unfortunately. Colouring options are decent and most leafy accessories come in a shade of green but there's not much in the way of fruit, flowers or plants.
Summer - Very little to distinguish a summer eladrin especially. No gold or yellow skintones and few fruit, flowers or plants.
Autumn - Some lovely autumnal accessories and backgrounds make up for the somewhat limited range of skintones here.
Winter - Enough variety for a couple of different wintery palettes and tons of great skin details. You could go for a yeti-esque design that has thick fur in winter or something more statuesque with icy spikes.

This picrew is the reverse of the previous one in that the one body type option is very slim and more feminine-leaning. It has lovely pointy ears in 4 sizes/shapes and great high fantasy clothing and accessories.
Spring - Enough greenery (including four green skintones) and leafy accessories to make an identifiable spring eladrin but again there's not a huge amount in the way of fruit, flowers or plants.
Summer - Lots of leafy options but hard to distinguish from Spring due to limited colour options and limited fruit or flower accessories.
Autumn - Quite a few of the leafy/nature options come in shades of brown and there are a couple of mushroom accessories so overall decent for Autumn.
Winter - This one comes down mainly to colouring but there are 3 blue skintones and 1 blueish white, along with blue, white and grey hair colours. Not much in the way of wintery features or accessories though.

This picrew is another one I recommend all the time because it's incredibly versatile with an astounding number of options for accessories and small details. My one gripe is there's no option for plain backgrounds.
Spring - Tons of floral clothing, jewelery and accessories plus so many animal companions from bugs to bunnies to birds. There are also these incredible antlers which come in various colours decorated with an array of flowers, fruit, blossom or birds.
Summer - All of the unnatural skintones in this picrew are pretty cool-toned but as previously mentioned there are a ton of floral and fruity accents to chose from.
Autumn - Considering how versatile this picrew is overall, it has relatively few Autumnal features and accessories. That said there's just enough to create an identifiably autumnal eladrin.
Winter - The aforementioned cool-toned colouring options in this picrew are perfect for a winter eladrin and there are some accessories and features that could be interpreted as ice crystals.

As explained in the overview, there are two variations of this picrew, chubby (shown in example images) and skinny. All of the following applies to both!
This picrew has 3 pointed ear options and a huge range of face markings and accessories which sets it apart from others on this list.
Spring - Good colour options, floral tattoos, clothing, jewellery, headwear and headpieces. Plus there are animal companions including baby goats and lambs!
Summer - There's a lot of crossover between spring and summer so most of the floral features mentioned above could work for summer too. Unfortunately there aren't really any yellow or gold skintones like the ones seen in official art for summer eladrin.
Autumn - As with spring, there are a wealth of options here. A lot of clothes, accessories and jewelry in autumnal colours, many of which specifically feature autumn leaves or plants.
Winter - Winter probably has the best colour options for skin, hair and eyes and lots of choice for clothing too. While there's nothing explicitly ice or winter related, there are various face markings reminiscent of snow or ice plus accessories resembling leafless branches.

In addition to its 3 pointed ear variations, one of the things that makes this creator perfect for Eladrin is the ability to have leaves for hair (in several styles too!) The range of colour options allow for a character whose leafy hair changes with the seasons (and maybe even falls out during winter!)
Spring - Green Skin and leafy-green or blossom-pink hair make this an okay option but floral clothing/accessories are limited.
Summer - Much like spring, there are some great colouring options and lots of leafy stuff but not a lot of flowers. That said, this is the only picrew on the list that offers the yellow/gold colouring depicted in 5e official art.
Autumn - The limited colour palette of this picrew includes a lot of autumnal shades which pairs very well with all the leafy clothing and makes it ideal for autumn eladrin.
Winter - Unfortunately there's nothing explicitly wintery in here so you would need to rely on colouring alone (and potentially baldness) to indicate your eladrin's Winter form.
