I am glad to know the death of the Egyptian kids isn’t celebrated
But taking the story literally it feels like it could’ve been easier for g-d to just kill the pharaoh and his army, don’t murder their kids as, like, revenge for for them killing kids,
From a storytelling perspective by today’s standards it seems like an odd choice, I mean I get the symbolism and all that but if he’s all powerful you’d think he’d have more options lol.
don't come to my inbox with your atheist superiority complex. "why didn't he just kill them from the start if he's all powerful lol" for fuck's sake, just say you think we're sinners who believe in a false g-d and move on. and why are you looking at a biblical story from a modern storytelling perspective in the first place? it's thousands of years old, not Harry Potter.
this was a last resort, G-d didn't just wake up one day and decided "yo Moses I'm gonna kill all their birstborns" "why" "it's funny", it was a display of g-ds strength as a series of warnings to the pharaoh, "let my people go or face the wrath of our g-d, you don't want to know what happens when he counts to 10". killing their firstborns wasn't revenge for the murdered children of the Hebrews.
you can argue all you want about what should have happened in the story, but that won't change what the story itself. what we can do is learn the story and interpret the meaning and symbolism.
and we both know that if the story was just "g-d killed the pharaoh and his army and in the chaos the Hebrews escaped" you'd be here whining "why didn't they try peace first? 😭 why did they have to kill them when they could have tried to ask to leave? 🥺🥺🥺".

Voldemort sat back in his seat and released a long, measured breath. His teeth skimmed along his bottom lip, a weakness he allowed only because there was no one around him that did not already know.
He felt…satiated. Brimming with the satisfaction of a thirsty man finally quenched; a sinner given that first addicting sip of ambrosia and who now craved the whole cup. His blood was alight with the intensity of his need, and Voldemort had always been gluttonous when feeding his own desires. More was the philosophy he subscribed to, and this would be no different.
Hadrian would be no different.
Just as he had predicted, the boy had performed exceptionally, demonstrating such exquisite magical potential, and reaffirming everything Voldemort had already known. True, he had made mistakes, taken hits he should have avoided, and that would be discussed at length between them – but he had won.
And what a victory it was.

It is genuinely ASTONISHING to see how many people are against your blog because they believe “it’s bad/weird to fantasize” or they say stuff like, “analyzing is fine. fantasizing is evil.” Actually fantasization is a divine gift, a spiritual experience, one of the best things we can do as humans. And most clearly Bylers agree!
They spend all day fantasizing about Mike and Will holding hands, going on dates, kissing, even ‘making out sloppily’ but the second we on the spicy side say that we want Byler to fuck, people start freaking out. How dare you fantasize?
Stick to analysis, freak.
Can someone please tell me why sex is such a big weird scandalous taboo? Have we gone back in time? Is this an evangelical youth group? Is this Catholic school? Are we Mormons? To fight back, some say, “Oh I’m not fantasizing, I’m just exploring the character dynamics” as if fantasizing will implicate them as some kind of dirty rotten sinner, as if this is some kind of gotcha that will expose fandom nonces.
But I don’t get it. I’m doing both, unapologetically! I’m exploring Byler’s dynamics, just like we do with ever other HC and canon analysis point, AND I’m fantasizing about them fucking like rabbits until the end of time, just like we fantasize about how the Byler kiss will go or how Mike will finally admit his sexuality.
Last time I checked, sex is part of sexuality, it’s literally in the name, and it’s a Divine Gift. Mike and Will are not disembodied beings who only want to hold hands and look at flowers all day. They are gay teenage boys who are sexually ravenous for each other. It’s clear this era of Puriteens didn’t devour Reddie or Stenborough smut under the covers while giggling and kicking their feet. And none of them would have SURVIVED the Harry Potter fandom.
The other side of this are the adult fancops who are siding with the puriteens and constantly trying to cancel Bylers for thinking unholy thoughts. You can only think analytical thoughts while wearing suits and taking cold showers. Meanwhile 65% of the fandom is openly attracted to Finn, and I’m supposed to be gaslit into thinking this doesn’t translate into their experience actually watching the show? I’m supposed to believe they watched him drool over Will’s ass and then said, “No, he didn’t do that”?
“But why aren’t you fantasizing about adult ships like J0pper or JAncy or or or-”
Because I don’t care about them? No offense. I’ve never read J0pper or JAncy fanfic in my life. And this isn’t J0pper Tumblr? It’s Byler Tumblr. I’m a Byler and naturally I want to see my favorite characters rail each other romantically? And it’s very, dare I say, unnatural and unrealistic when you read fanfics and Mike and Will kiss each other and don’t so much as get a boner. One boner?
I’m so tired. It’s utter gobbledegook.
Especially giving the context of what Stranger Things and Byler represents, it’s so obvious that sexual exploration is the natural evolution for these characters in their arcs in Season 5. Self-actualization and an embrace of the queer experience in all its sensuality and beauty.
The shame WILL be on the other side.
yeah, all great points! I think people get overprotective and hyper-vigilant, and they want to make sure they're taking a strong stand against their nebulous, exaggerated, hypothetical image of the shadowy "30-year old creep" getting off to Byler smut in a dark room.
but you're right that all Bylers "fantasize" about many things, even those most vocal in the analyze-only movement. technically all of Byler is "fantasizing," since they aren't together yet and they are fictional. we're all just envisioning scenarios and situations!
for some reason tho, people are chill with people daydreaming about every romantic scenario imaginable and chill with people conjuring up sad, tragic, angsty situations involving Vecna and bullying and pain. but sex? no. sex is shocking, alarming, and frightening.
also, this is definition of fantasize:
there's nothing inherently creepy about that definition. It's neutral.

i just want to say, as an exvangelical, i'm sorry:
to everyone i made uncomfortable by preaching my "one true god" (whether we were friends or you were a random stranger)
to everyone to whom i was a self-righteous asshole (whether because i was a Born Again Christian, or because i thought i was more Enlightened, or because i was trying to mimic a Wrathful God)
to everyone i condemned as too much of a "sinner" (lgbtq+, women, divorcees, any other religion, etc.)
to everyone i fought with about how evolution must be false, without proof other than my stubbornness (and to everyone i thought stupid for believing in evolution)
to everyone i dragged into watching god's not dead (what a goddamn mess that was)
to everyone i judged for loving the world (for loving people; for participating in pop culture; for caring)
to everyone whose life i made harder by refusing to participate in any Ungodly Stuff (halloween, costumes, pokemon, harry potter, percy jackson, lord of the rings, any and all pop music, the list goes on and on)
to everyone who had to read my bible-inspired writing and book reports on christian books and just, all that terrible shit
to everyone else i've hurt (because i know i'm missing things, because this list could go on)
many of the people i've hurt are no longer in my life -- whether that's because we never knew each other (and they were one of the 5 strangers i was assigned to evangelize at), because we grew apart (due to faith or other reasons), or because i was an asshole (and i'm sorry for how i behaved). and an apology from a stranger into the void doesn't really mean anything.
but. i just want to put it out there. i'm sorry, for all the times and all the ways i've hurt the world.

When you heard of the happy hotel you decided to go check it out

Now you joined before the whole news fiasco and Alastor
On the morning of the interview Charlie and Vaggie were rushing to make the hotel look good for any new potential sinners
And angle had left earlier for who knows what
You decided to stay at the hotel while Charlie and Vaggie left to 666 news
You watched the whole showdown on the tiny tv in the lobby
You felt kinda bad for Charlie, knowing that after that interview no sinner would want to be a part of the hotel
Suddenly your phone started ringing
You checked the caller ID to see it was charlie
So you answered
"Heya charlie...I saw the interview, how're you holding up?"
You heard her answer, voice wavery like she had been crying
"Oh pfft I'm totally fine, it's not like many demons watch the news anyways.."
You could tell by her tone that she was faking enthusiasm
"Listen...(Y/n) , the limo got a flat tire. We may take a bit longer to get to the hotel. Sorry"
You shrugged her of before realizing she couldn't see you
"Nah it's fine, don't worry about the hotel. I'm keeping an eye on it"
She sighed in relief
"ok, thank (Y/n). Hopefully we won't be much longer"
With that you ended the call and started scrolling through your phone out of boredom
Ten or so minutes later you heard a knock on the door
Thinking it was charlie returning you went to open the door
To your surprise and horror you found the radio demon at the door
"Hel-" your spammed the door in confusion, before opening it again "-lo"
You slammed it again
You looked around the empty lobby trying to decide if you should let the monster outside in or not
Gathering all the courage you could you opened the door again
"May I speak now?"
You blinked up at the radio demon
"Uh...sure?"
"Alastor, darling, pleasure to meet you quite a pleasure"
He spoke with such enthusiasm and energy it was hard to believe he was dangerous
"Forgive me for my sudden intrusion but I saw the disaster on the picture show and just had to visit this place!"
You nodded awkwardly
"Might I ask where the manager is?"
It took you a sec to process what he said
Manager--owner.. Charlie
"Oh uh she's not here right now... sorry"
You responded quietly
"Oh? Do you happen to where she is, my dear?"
"Uh, flat tire"
You said dumbly
His grin somehow grew wider as he looked around
"so it's just you and I then?"
You nodded
"Well then what a delightful surprise!"
"Suuure.."
You said slowly
"I'm not sure if I'd be as affective as charlie, but I'm sure I can help you with whatever you need"
Alastor chuckled
"Oh no, darling, though I appreciate your efforts I'm afraid what I have to say only concerns the princess"
"Oh," you said awkwardly, "well shes gotten held up sooo.."
Alastor raised an eyebrow
You shrugged awkwardly
"Idk when she'll return" you finished
"Well then I suppose I'll wait here!" Alastor responded
You squeaked in surprise and groaned quietly
"Ok fine cool cool cool" you muttered, walking past him
You heard his static filled chuckle behind
"I don't believe I caught your name, darling"
"Oh, sorry, I'm (Y/n)" you gave him a polite smile
Alastor found that he quite liked your smile

Later after charlie had returned with vaggie and angle in tow, and Alastor finally revealing why he had arrived
You were chilling in the library, lounging on an old couch while looking at fanart of your fav characters (*cough* tom riddle *cough*)
Suddenly there was a loud pop behind you, like static
You turned and saw no one
You shrugged it off as your imagination, and eventually fell asleep on the couch
Alastor appeared out of the shadows and watched you sleep for a moment, before carrying you back to your room
He didn't know who you were looking at, but he knew that after your encounter that morning, he wanted you all for himself
"You will be mine (Y/n)~"

Then create Gellert Grindelwald who commit terrorism in whole europe, laid the foundations of new wizard society (In Harry Potter book 6 muggle prime minister learn magic and muggle's informed about Death eaters, Grindelwald literrally say this in years ago) start with and logical ideal but then start commit crimes after and after
They're so similiar but so different. Both oppsite and equal . They just understand each other. They have eachothers brain but they aren't same.
