August 31 - "Tomato Festival" in Spain (La Tomatina)
On August 31, the annual "Tomato Festival" begins in the city of Bunyol, in eastern Spain, the main event of which has long been the tomato battle of Tomatina, taking place in the city square.
And the beginning of this tradition was a banal fight. In 1945, at the end of summer festival in Bunyola, a group of young people, wanting to have fun, dropped a large figure inside which there was a participant in the parade. When he got up, he didn't appreciate the joke and started a scuffle, which his friends quickly joined. The skirmish took place near the vegetable stalls, and tomatoes immediately became projectiles. The police arrived in time to disperse the brawlers and forced them to pay for the spoiled vegetables, but exactly a year later they gathered there and already with their tomatoes…

Hey. Gentiles. Listen up for a sec.
When September and October are nearing and you’re planning an event: google “Rosh Hashanah *year*” and *Yom Kippur *year*” and then, and I cannot stress this enough, don’t plan your event on those days. In fact, don’t plan any events starting sundown the night before. Those are the three most important days of the Jewish calendar, and, once again, I cannot stress enough how much this little bit of forethought and kindness will make every Jew you know cry tears of joy.

The more I learn about judaism the more I wonder where tf christianity got all its bad shit. Why is divorce a sin in christianity when judaism has recognized the right to divorce for nearly a millennia and has codified religious laws for it. Why does christianity consider sex to be dirty (to the point where puritans considered it a sin to enjoy having sex with your own spouse) when in judaism it's considered holy and it's a literal mitzvah to have sex with your spouse on the sabbath. Why does christianity consider it a sign that you're faithless if you question your religion when in judaism that's considered an essential part to developing your faith. I'm probably stating the obvious here but I still can't get over the fact that there's no historical basis to any of this shit before christianity started, it's like christians just said "hey guys what if we took the torah and built a new religion around it but this time it was actively hostile to human life"

Some Saezuru Chapter 52 text spoilers
-Yashiro and Doumeki finally have sex! It's rougher than chapter 25 but for a few moments there's some wild passion and it's clear they're still in love with each other.
-Doumeki is shirtless, and you see the the glorious back tattoo several times.
-Doumeki blows Yashiro and there's another kiss! He preps Yashiro a lot and there's this point where Yahiro looks over his shoulder at Doumeki with the most vulnerable face and Doumeki's brain goes briefly offline. Mine did too.
-Once Doumeki is inside, Yashiro is overwhelmed with pleasure, he's trembling with his hand over his mouth. Doumeki also LIFTS YASHIRO and puts him on the bed.
-They do it until Yashiro passes out. When he wakes up he can barely stand and Doumeki has to help him.
-After a shower, Yashiro is getting dressed (Doumeki hung up Yashiro's suit which I think is adorable) and YASHIRO NOTICES THE CONTACT CASE. He stares at it a bit, but then calls Nanahara as he leaves, and that's the end of the chapter.

August 31 - Day of Remembrance of Victims of Repression in Uzbekistan
Since 2001, the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Repression, established on the initiative of the first President of the Republic Islam Karimov, has been celebrated annually on August 31 in Uzbekistan.
They write that the victims of repression include the victims of corruption during the so-called "cotton business".
To make it clear that Uzbeks are celebrating, you can quote from the description on the Internet of the Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression in Tashkent:
"In the 1860s, when the Russian Empire was waging a colonial war in Central Asia, the conquerors suppressed popular uprisings fighting for the freedom of their lands. In Soviet times, starting with the October Revolution, the state destroyed the best minds of the country who cherished the dream of an independent state, and even those who were only suspected of dissent. And Stalin's rule marked the bloodiest period in the history of Uzbekistan: tens of thousands of people were arrested, thousands were shot, and the rest died in camps as enemies of the people. In the 80s, more than 800 criminal cases were initiated in Uzbekistan, which received the general name "Cotton case", where people were tried because of the lack of cotton."
In general, draw your own conclusions.
