Cooking with Tomura

Autistic!Tomura, GN!Reader

• Tomura has never had enough experience with cooking to feel like he’s good at it.

• If it’s not at least close to one of his samefoods, he’s very very hesitant to try new things.

• You’ve been working with him to slowly get more and more vegetables into his diet, which he actually happy for. He’s been feeling a lot better, even with the baby steps he’s been making.

• Early examples of him trying to cook for you usually end up with the two of you ordering a pizza after putting out the fires and/or opening the windows to air out the smoke.

• He really likes to watch you cook though. Maybe it’s just an excuse to spend time with you, but you don’t mind either way.

• He’s very sensitive to smells, but loves when you use things like garlic, onions, and scallions.

• He loves to stand by the pans while things simmer, just watching things slowly cook and stirring if you ask him to. He does the same thing with the oven if you bake or roast something.

• He was nervous at first when you asked him to help you chop vegetables. He said he didn’t know how to hold things to avoid cutting his fingers, so you looked up some videos together on how to properly cut different vegetables.

• Once he got used to it, he now excitedly asks to chop and peel things when you’ve got your hands full with multitasking. He really likes how useful it makes him feel.

• The only thing he won’t cut up for you is peppers, just because he’s nervous about getting stuff in his eyes. He’ll even do onions once you show him how to cut them to avoid letting out the fumes that cause watery eyes.

• Tomura likes to put on music in the background if he’s not wearing headphones. Just to give himself something to listen to.

• Things are rarely ever fancy enough to warrant properly setting the table, but he likes setting things out.

• Tomura’s favorite foods usually have aspects of sweetness and/or crunch to them. One of his all time favorite meals is a tomato basil soup with a grilled cheese.

• He does like some spice, but it usually to be contained in something so that it doesn’t get all over his cracked lips.

• Tomura does tend to savor his food. One of the side effects of the small period of time he spent without a home are that he doesn’t take things like food for granted.

• It takes him a while to warm up to food that’s really outside his comfort zone. He usually has to see you make it a few times before he’s willing to try a bit of it.

Please, 5 heacanons for an Anastasia AU where Emperor All for One has been looking for his long-missing little brother. Second and Third are a pair of poor conmen who find an amnesiac orphan named Yoichi and decide to turn him into a fake prince. Except when they actually meet All for One they start to have serious doubts about letting Yoichi go.

Sorry, this took so long, it's been so long since I've seen this, I had to rewatch it. But it was fun! Sorry it got so long though.

Note: I made up a fake country for the emperor to rule. I find this fitting as we all know AFO only becomes an emperor in his imagination.

The Shigaraki family rules the country of Ronea, when their exiled advisor, Garaki, comes and tries to take over, cursing them. Then a revolution happens and they're overthrown. Every one of them is killed except for two. Hisashi (who's 18), who stays behind to fight off the revolutionaries with his own magic, and Yoichi (8) who escaped with the help of two servant boys (Second and Third). He meant to come back, but was knocked down and hit his head. He would end up at an orphanage with no memory of his previous life. Oh, and Hisashi killed Garaki and took all the magic for himself, managing to uncurse them.

10 years later and AFO, after fighting off the revolutionaries and taking his place as emperor, has placed a high bounty for the safe return of his brother, who everyone assumes is dead, but no one's going to tell the emperor he's delusional. Meanwhile, Second and his best friend Third, have become conmen after being unable to continue work as servants in the palace, as they got really tired of being forced to care for the emperor's Demon King dolls action figures. They decide to try and turn in a fake prince. Sure, others have tried it, but they have insider knowledge, so obviously they would succeed.

Meanwhile, Yoichi has been tossed from home to home, finally escaping the system at age 18. He has only one relic from his previous life, a silver bracelet with "My Little Brother" inscribed. Not super helpful, but whatever, he's given up any hope of family and is off to Paris to pursue his dream of becoming an author, with the corgi he finds on the way there, which he names Tomura. Sadly, AFO isn't letting anyone leave the country, just in case they happen to be his brother. The only way out is to be smuggled out, and so, he's directed to find The Number Duo.

Shocked by his resemblance to the prince and his coincidental matching name, they convince him to pretend to be Prince Yoichi. After all, surely the prince will have the time to write a book and the money to move to Paris. He agrees; Cue the prince training montage with all the kind of flirting and stuff.

Of course, they don't have to go on a big journey here, as they're all in the same country, they just have to say they found the prince and they'll be let in. AFO never gave up on seeing his brother again, no matter how many fakes he had to go through. (He kills them, but not many people know that little detail)

Yoichi starts to remember more and more of his old life as they walk through the palace, and is able to ace the test AFO gives him, including details he was never even taught. Like how he managed to escape...

In order to celebrate, AFO invites them all to a party he's throwing in honor of his brother's return, but the number duo can't help but feel that something's not right with the man. Something about the look in his eye doesn't seem quite right. Their suspicions are confirmed when AFO's new advisor, Toshinori Yagi tells them about how AFO has used the souls of the fakes he killed to power up a new spell. One that will keep Yoichi from ever having to leave him again.

Meanwhile, Yoichi can't help the uneasiness he feels around his brother, but ignores it. They're family after all. (The bracelet feels heavy around his wrist.) Tomura the corgi runs off just as the party starts and ends up in the gardens, right into AFO's arms. There, Yoichi finds out just what he's planning through AFO's monologue, which triggers a few more flashbacks.

You see, AFO and Garaki had been best friends, and learned dark magic together, eventually selling their souls for the opportunity to carry out their plans. AFO becoming emperor and the rest of his family (sans Yoichi) getting killed was planned, but Garaki trying to take the throne for himself, was not, so he got killed. Yoichi was the only family AFO had loved as the rest all made fun of him, so he wanted to keep him around forever. He gave Yoichi the bracelet (which he had sold his soul for) saying to always wear it, as it would protect him in times of need. That was a lie, the bracelet was enchanted, but it needed to be activated first. The enchantment made it so that Yoichi's soul would leave his body and be forever bound to his brother, unable to leave him again.

Second & Third arrive on the scene and it turns into a battle, where Tomura manages to bite the bracelet off, but that only buys him time. Then there's a game of keep-away with the bracelet, and eventually Yoichi manages to break the bracelet, causing AFO to turn into dust.

AFO dies, and Yoichi becomes king of Ronea, marrying Second & Third. Tomura gets to live a spoiled life with some corgi friends he made, Mon-chan and Hana. Nana Shimura is the royal dogsitter. The Trioholders had their honeymoon in Paris and Yoichi got to write several books. The end.

This was a lot more than what I was expecting to write, but I really love this movie.

In my original version (what I came up with before I rewatched the movie), AFO was the evil advisor and brainwashed everyone into thinking Yoichi was his little brother who went tragically missing when some evil revolutionaries (AKA Yoichi's real family) stormed the palace. Those revolutionaries were the Aoyama family. He was Yoichi Aoyama. That one was so different I thought I'd mention it here.

green tea; how do they comfort their s/o?

At a surface level, Shigaraki is not the best at comforting. And that's putting it gently. He's pretty emotionally constipated. He doesn't have great advice, he's terrible at recognizing the subtle cues of somebody being upset, and if he walks in on someone crying he completely freezes up.

But he's very good at just being there for his partner. He may not recognize that his partner is upset until they're already crying, but when they do, he'll sit and let you cry into his shoulder or hold you in his chest for hours. He's an excellent listener. It may not be what everyone needs to feel better, and it's pretty obvious he doesn't have a clue on how to adjust to someone who needs other forms of comfort, but it's also very obvious how much he cares.

He's a GREAT person to go to when your mad though. The ultimate gossip buddy who'll get just as mad as you, if not madder -- vent, vent, vent away.

"She called you what? You should fucking KILL her!"

black tea; what do they look for in a person?

Ah I think I wrote a little about this in my general Shigaraki heacanons here. But in general, I think Shigaraki seeks out normalcy and acceptance in a partner. Now to be clear, Shigaraki is absolutely not looking for anyone, relationships and romance are the absolute last thing on his mind and seem like the most annoying thing in the world to be honest. But if he were to fall for anyone, it'd be a person that makes him feel not only loved and accepted, but also just like a regular person. Someone that he can laugh with and tease, someone to play games with, just overall someone who's easy to pass the time with.

I think he's also a real sucker for someone that cooks for and takes care of him. He doesn't look after his own health and wellbeing very well, especially once Kurogiri's gone, and he's used to being rejected by the world, so a person that goes out of their way to care for and show him that he does matter, will make him feel pretty gooey inside.

Ramblings on Fugue

My notes on the fic Fugue. I suggest reading that first before reading this short rambling!!

Fugue is set in an AU where Touya and Tenko met in a young age and became friends. But while Touya ended becoming a hero (not really in his own volition), Tenko became a villain. Tenko still ended up killing his family, gets taken by AFO, while Touya is left wondering what happened to his best friend. His best friend’s apparent death is what convinced Touya to become a hero, with the following twists:

Touya eventually learns of his best friend’s fate and that his father didn’t even try to look for Tenko (because Tenko, as Endeavor says, is a ‘lost case’). And so Touya’s anger, coupled from being shunned by Endeavor from being imperfect and losing admiration for his father, wishes to surpass Enji as a hero. Basically, Touya becomes a hero just for spite.

Touya also eventually learns that Tenko is alive, now as Tomura, from AFO who approached him with a deal. Help Tomura once the time comes, and in exchange, Touya can finally be reunited with Tomura/Tenko. AFO used a willing Touya as Tomura’s sword and shield.

Tomura really does not remember who Touya is. And like canon, will remember it during his battle against the Meta Liberation Army. But even before that, Tomura slowly falls in love with Touya.

Shigaraki “I’m not the same as before,” Tomura vs. Todoroki “I just need you to be mine,” Touya

I actually have a slow-burn idea of Touya being an annoying prick but also helping Tomura with all stages of his villain activity. They fall in love. But eventually Touya gets revealed as a “double agent for the heroes” when in fact Touya decided from the get-go he will always side with Tomura, and fights his fellow heroes for Tomura’s safety and survival.

Only to learn that Tomura is now possessed by AFO, and Touya doesn’t know if Tomura will ever come back

A heacanon of mine is that Touya’s hero names are based on star names and constellations! Tenko suggested the name Polaris because Tenko sees Touya as a guiding light, and that Touya’s fire has the same color of stars. At some point I want to write a story that uses the line “Burn as bright as the star for me.”

I actually have many ideas for this AU, but I decided to reserve that for different fics instead of dumping it all on this one fic.

Maybe it’ll become multi-chap, maybe not. But I am happy with the way it is!

Shigaraki’s never wanted kids. Never even liked kids (or at least, didn’t like the idea of kids, because it’s not like he was ever around them much).

So when the supplier the League is meeting with shows up with their fucking toddler in tow, he’s about already to decay them on the spot.

He only stops when you let out a sound he’s never heard from you before—some soft little squeal as you’re already rushing over, kneeling down before that gross little person, cooing and chattering excitedly.

The supplier seems content to let you distract the kid, which Shigaraki eventually decides is probably fine.

He wasn’t prepared for it to be distracting for him too though. His eyes keep wandering over to where you’re sitting, holding the squirming kid in your lap, pointing to different stuff around the room as it giggles and babbles. And the smile you’re wearing—it’s one he’s never seen on you before, some soft look that’s entirely unfamiliar but sends a little flutter through his chest that he doesn’t want to think too hard about.

It’s not something he’d ever considered before, but suddenly he finds himself picturing a different kid in your lap, one with red eyes and fluffy white hair and…

Even though he tries to shove that thought aside, it sticks.

Sticks enough that later that day, well after the meeting is over, he’s still thinking about it—you carrying around a little version of him, smiling adorably at it, all that shit.

And maybe, maybe later than night when you two are in bed he ‘forgets’ pull out.

BNHA ABO Scent Headcanons - Part 1 (LoV)

//I have grown the NEED to make more scent headcanons lol. Just so you know these scent hcs actually have little to do with the dynamics, and more of a individual thing which wouldn’t necessarily change if i headcanoned a character with a different dynamic

Before I made some scent headcanons for LOV here

And a mentioned Mic’s in the latest ask, here

I’m planning on making this part focused on the lov, so here for a a quick recap, plus a few additions.

Omega!Dabi: at first impression he smells of burned rubber and blood, maybe a bit of ashes, following by hints of spicy and cinnamon along with soap.

Beta!Twice: Tutti frutti, paint (don’t ask me why for some reason I just thought it seemed right, idk why either--)

Beta!Toga: blood and bubble gum, glue.

Next is the rest, I actually spend a really long time (thinking) on some of them lol. I tried to get all the ones I write most about in the lov

Alpha!Shigaraki: Tar, sandy rocks, chapstick (stuck to him after a while of the others forcing a bunch at him)

Alpha!Kurogiri: he smells of rainy day clouds, and obsidian

Beta!Spinner: he doesn’t have much smell, or at least its not as obvious as the others, he smells like a warm sunny day and tap water if you get close enough though

Beta!Compress: he smells of wood, it’s like this clean cut wood kind of thing, also nuts and glass (does glass have a smell? I think it does right..?)

Beta!Magne: magnets, she smells of magnets (I seriously could not think of anything else)

//Scent headcanons are different from general smell headcanons, because smell headcanons are based on the general smell of a person, whether they use specific soaps, perfumes, their sweat and more I find scent headcanons to be more specific to stuff like ABO because its more about the scent of the body, that scent that doesn’t leave, that’s kind of naturally there. Like how some people say that we are unconciously attracted towards people who have a scent that may match our or our preference which is usually something that you wouldn’t really notice but becomes more noticible in a a setting like ABO. I am rambling again, anyways i don’t need to say this much I can’t even tell if its understandable what I’m trying. to get at. I hope you enjoyed these silly little headcanons of mine.

I already did headcanons for him HERE! however i’m lov him so he’s getting more

Unless he’s alone, or very tired, his s/o’s going to need to be the one to initiate cuddling.

Enjoys lying with his back on his s/o’s chest and their hands around his torso. His s/o’d better make sure they lock the door, though, because if someone walks in, he’s not going to even look at them for the rest of the night.

While he’s a sleepy cuddler, he doesn’t like sleeping anywhere near his s/o in fears that he might touch them in his sleep. If his s/o cuts off a few fingers on a pair of gloves, though, he’d be more than willing to spend the night with them (although he’s not going to SAY it).

Likes being held by his s/o more than holding them.

MIDORIYA IZUKU

HE IS SO BAD AT IT AHAHA

The first time he tries to cuddle with his s/o he literally just tries lying his head on their shoulder but he has too much speed and slams his forehead into their neck.

Is mortified and will not try again for a while.

When he “gets the hang of it”, he’s still bright red, but he enjoys curling into his s/o’s side, especially when he’s tired.

He’s more of a hand-holder, honestly.

IIDA TENYA

He’s very proper about these things, so his s/o’d better wear proper clothing (he won’t even consider it if they’re “underdressed”, so sorry, no shirtless Iida cuddles for u).

I want to say he’s soft, so badly, but... he’s fucking shredded. Lots of muscles for pillows.

Enjoys holding his s/o so their head is on his bicep and they’re both lying on their backs, with legs tangled; this way, they can read, or watch TV, or whatever, while still being together.

Pls compliment his calves. He’s a bit insecure about them, due to his engines, but they’re beautiful and if his s/o tells him that he’ll blush, thank them, and hold them a little bit closer.

♡ - romantic headcanon

I think Chisaki would be pretty old-fashioned about dating. He canonically has traditional values, so especially at the start I see him going for a formal courtship. Opening doors, bringing you flowers, even meeting your family very early on, at least if they’re respectable. Especially since most people disgust him, it’ll all be part of how he shows he has serious intentions.

I also think that of all the villains, he really is the most likely candidate for going full Yandere. We actually see multiple times over in the manga that he has no respect for people’s autonomy, bodily or otherwise, and that he views himself as above everyone (unlike say, Shigaraki, who seems to treat the League as autonomous actors, and more or less as equals). So if that courtship doesn’t work, well then... he’s just going to switch to more aggressive tactics to get you where he wants you.

I honestly don't understand why people ship Shiggy with... Dabi

This ask made my day, anon! I don’t quite get it either.

I used to sorta ship it! But mostly because of a lack of similar-aged, chance-there-might-be-some-chemistry options. But that was before My Villain Academia, before Dabi showed himself to have a shit personality, before we learned more about Shigaraki and the rest of the League.

I think, as with most things regarding Dabi, there’s fanon!Dabi and there’s canon!Dabi, and the one that’s shipped with Shigaraki is fanon!Dabi (though tbh, it’s a fanon!Shigaraki also). I admit, it can be a fun dynamic: the witty gadfly with a rough exterior but heart of gold and affection that he cultivated from being a big brother and he is actually, truly loyal to his boss... and the high-strung, awkward spoiled brat boss who’s flustered by the other’s charm and needs that kindness to let down his guard. And true, the two have similar backgrounds and trauma that they can bond over and help each other heal. Also isn’t it just the usual seme/uke thing? Hence the overwhelming portrayals of Shigaraki as the “bottom”.

But imho, that’s not Shigaraki or Dabi (except for the trauma part. that’s there, but the portrayals of it...). Well, it’s not my interpretation. I’ve made heacanons before of my take! But that hinged on Dabi being... not the Dabi we know now, uncaring and contemptuous lol

Also, they’re two pretty boys. Lemme tell ya, if Spinner didn’t look like a lizard and was ‘prettier’, then I’m sure Spinaraki would’ve been bigger than it is. Earnest country boy smitten with wild city delinquent leader, and basically declared his devotion, after spending the whole arc by his leader’s side? Come on. Also: Spinner is perfect the way he is, he’s perfect as a lizard man

Well, it’s just not my ship! I’m sure it appeals to other people in a way I don’t understand or am fond of, and that’s fine. Some of the fanart is gorgeous! I’ve read really good fics with great concepts. Still, I will reiterate, no ShigaDabi of any sort on this blog, (at least for the foreseeable future).

For all the video game analogies Shigaraki uses, we’ve never actually seen him play a video game in the manga or anime. Even before he steps into All For One’s role, every time we see him at the bar - chilling, planning, whatever he’s doing - he doesn’t have a console. In the anime, in episode 40, when he is playing a ‘game’, it’s stacking a house of cards.

Instead, Shigaraki’s more likely to be reading the newspaper. In his first ever appearance, manga and anime, he’s reading about how All Might is a teacher.

Then after the Hosu chaos, he’s reading all about Stain, as well as watching the news.

This doesn’t seem like just him doing some causal skimming either. In his room, he’s got newspaper clippings taped all over the walls, everywhere.

Most of them seem to be about Heroes - we’ve got what looks like All Might in the top left corner. There’s also a world map in front of him, and a map of Japan at his left. His shelves has quite a bit of books has well.

Basically, what I’m getting at is that, sure, he probably likes video games a lot, but unlike the fanon view of him as childishly obsessed with video games, playing them whenever he can, Shigaraki apparently spends quite a lot of time reading and watching the news, keeping up to date with current events, analyzing and filing information away. As expected of a budding criminal mastermind.

No doubt this is All For One’s teaching: He’s got Shigaraki watching the UA Sports Festival, and he apparently taught Shigaraki about the rest of the underworld so that Shigaraki recognizes Overhaul as a Yakuza boss on sight.

Makes me wonder what All For One’s educating was like. Before he was shipped off to Tartarus, All For One was still trying to get Shigaraki to learn and mature. Of course Shigaraki calls him 'Teacher’.

Shigaraki Tomura at the beginning of the series is a bit of a spoiled brat, indulged by his Master, but the lessons stuck. He is observant, analytical, and honestly smart, even before he found his motivation after Stain. I just really wanted to emphasize this, cuz I feel like a lot of the fandom overlooks it. Which is easy to do since a lot of his plans fail and fail again, but I think that’s inexperience and now he’s improving fast. And also because the heroes gotta win.

Also: MHA’s got modern-slightly-futurish technology, yet Shigaraki’s still reading newspaper. We also never see him use a phone. My heacanon is that it’s habit - when he was still learning to control his quirk, it was just more practical to give him cheap paper instead of an expensive electronic and so that’s his prefer mode of reading.
