#she's telling all her friends at the hospital about her daughter's sweet boyfriend

Hey birdie! ✨
I've got a cute fluffy idea for "My First And Only" if that's okay! Thena and Gil fell asleep on the couch at Thenas and Ajak comes home after a long day at work. She's seeing them and takes a picture she's going to use as her smartphone background. Thena wakes up and glares at her mother but she can't get up because Gil is holding her! ✨🖤 Hugs and Love! 🖤✨
Thena blinked, finding the living room dark. The question of 'are you still watching?' having come and gone. She sighed, not quite ready to get up yet.
Gil wasn't either.
Right--they had been watching cooking shows while waiting for her mother to get back from work. Gil always kept her company when Mother was working, whether here or at his place with Karun. They had come home with onigiri and a new flavour of cup ramen to share as a snack.
And they might have made out a little bit.
Thena tried to reach for her phone but, somehow, she and Gil had moved from just leaning together on the couch to now fully cuddling. Gil was slumped over on the throw pillows, but with his arm firmly around her waist. Their legs were woven together messily, tangled in the subconscious desire to have their feet up while they rested.
"Gil," she whispered, although Gil was a very sound sleeper. The few times she had gone to his house on the weekends early in the morning, she had discovered as much.
That was also how she discovered that Gramps made wonderful pancakes.
"Gil," she whispered again, pushing on his chest faintly.
"'Ena," he mumbled, forgetting the 'Th' and only nestling further into her mother's plush sofa and pulling her tighter against him.
Thena smiled to herself, alone in the dusk. Gil was nice and warm, she had to admit. It was very different from when she had sleepovers with Makkari and Sersi, all three of them crammed into her double bed upstairs.
Gil sighed in his sleep, holding onto her in the slim space between his body and the back of the couch. His arm was both loosely and solidly wrapped around her.
Just so long as no one could see--could know she was indulging herself like this, Thena pressed her face to his chest. He smelled nice; he had started wearing some kind of scent since they started going out. She wasn't sure if it was real cologne or not, but it was kind of nice. And of course he smelled like whatever he had been cooking.
She wrapped her arms around him too, under the hoodie he was wearing. It was a little too warm for him to need it, but she was pretty sure he always had a jacket or sweater or something just in case she got cold so he could lend it to her. He loved 'boyfriend stuff' like that.
Thena sighed, quickly being pulled into sleep again by how warm and comfortable he was, even napping on her mother's couch in the early evening. "I love you, Gil."
He was asleep; it was the only reason she said it.
"Honey?--I'm sorry I'm late, my love, I--oh."
Thena kept her eyes closed, hoping her mother would simply...mind her business. For once.
Ajak was enthralled by her relationship with Gil. According to her, she wasn't sure if Thena would ever find herself in want of a romantic companion, and was thus ecstatic that she had found such a suitable partner as Gil.
She had plenty of 'I told you so's, in not so many words.
Thena listened as her mother abandoned her shoes by the door but definitely didn't go upstairs, or even into the other room towards the kitchen.
Ajak was quiet, tiptoeing in sock feet over the living room rug and towards them. She turned on the small side lamp and opened the curtains just a little.
Gil adjusted on the couch at the brighter environment before settling his head by Thena's again.
"Oh!" Ajak whispered in delight.
Thena's cheeks burned. She wasn't sure if it would be worse to be awake now or not. Maybe her mother would get the hint - for once - and leave them be if she pretended to still be asleep.
Ajak's phone made the quiet noise of a camera clicking.
"Mother!" Thena did her best to turn and glare at her mother, although still within Gil's hold.
"Sorry, honey," Ajak whispered, although obviously not with any real regret. "Did I wake you?"
Thena hesitated. "Yes."
"Sorry, my baby, you go back to sleep," Ajak murmured, although she didn't exactly scurry off to leave them alone.
Thena pushed against Gil's chest to angle her head, "what are you doing?"
Ajak was holding her phone with one hand and tapping away with her pointer finger of the other. "How do I change the background on this?"
"What?!"
"I know you've showed me before," Ajak murmured, tapping and pressing on various parts of her phone screen. "Oh, wait."
"No, Mother, you-"
Ajak looked up as Thena's fussing only got her encased in Gil's arms again. His embrace weighed down Thena against him, letting him nuzzle his face closer to hers again.
Thena heard Ajak squeak in delight. Perhaps it was just as well her face was being pushed into Gil's side again, having started to become engulfed in warmth.
"Okay, okay, I'm going, I'm going," Ajak practically giggled. She moved lightly, pausing only to pull the throw over the back of the couch over them.
Thena glared at her mother. "If you use that as a background I will-"
"Hush, Thena, don't want to wake Gil," Ajak cut her off, blowing kisses to them both as she finally bounded upstairs.
Thena pressed her face into Gil's chest one more time. She had to find a way to delete that picture from her mother's phone, and maybe from the face of the earth.

Synopsis: It's no secret Kurama's soft on you. But when his demon form finally sees the light after hundreds of years, the fact only further cements itself.
It's surreal to think just a few weeks ago you were an ordinary high school student. A few weeks ago you had been completely oblivious to your best friend’s secret life. A few weeks ago, he'd been walking you home like he'd always done.
Talking about everything and nothing at the same time. Visiting his mother in the hospital before you took off to your job at some ramen place to earn a few extra bucks. A simple life it was.
Uneventful but peaceful.
Now here you were in some stuffy hotel, cheering on said best friend as he fought in a tournament. A demon tournament, if you may add. Where death was always a possibility and he and his friends were constantly fighting for their lives. One of which was the boyfriend of your boss’s daughter. And thank goodness she was or else you probably never would have known what was going on with Shuichi.
You never would have had a clue as to why he was suddenly absent from your life. Where he suddenly vanished to when the day before, he'd talked about having a ‘study date.’ How, now that his mother was better, it'd be nice to have a proper dinner between the three of you. Talks of the future, like you'd wake up and he'd be right there.
Turns out it was all a lie.
That first day you'd checked everywhere for him. It wasn't until you went to work that you met up with Keiko. Who was also suspicious of her boyfriend’s absence. The two men in question had seemingly vanished over night. And in your search for answers, you'd come across the sister of another guy who went missing.
Three in one day was no coincidence.
The common denominator? A blue haired woman who was apparently a grim reaper. A few threats from Shizuru had her spilling everything. How Shuichi, sweet dorky Shuichi, was a demon. And a prolific one at that. How all three of the boys, plus another demon, were forced to fight in this tournament. Or else they'd die along with everyone they cared about.
It made sense why they'd all left in the middle of night without a word. Why he left you without saying anything. You understood the circumstances, and you didn't hold it against him. You couldn't hold that against him. But… But you two told each other everything. Or at least you thought you did.
Which leads you to where you are now. Sitting anxiously across from Kurama the night before the semi finals. He'd already had one close call with death. You didn't think you could take it if he had another.
Kurama didn't like you being here as it was. Going as far as to scold you after his first match for following him. Seeing you cry after his fight with Touya didn't help your case either. You figured his concern was purely out of obligation. Not wanting to be responsible if you somehow got hurt.
Oblivious to the warm gazes directed at you when you weren't looking. The way he searched for you in the stands before every match. How he always offered you his hand when you'd go out. You were probably the only person he let get close enough to tend to his wounds.
It wasn't like he ever hid his soft spot for you. If anyone took the time to analyze his actions, it was easy to tell he cared quite a lot about you. More than a friend should.
“You're awfully quiet.” He spoke, snapping you from your thoughts.
“I'm just…” You didn't know how exactly to explain what you were feeling. To put your overwhelmed senses into words.
Truth was you were terrified. Terrified for Shuichi and terrified for his friends. You were terrified of waking up tomorrow and him not coming back to you.
“Worried.” you settled on.
He gave a thoughtful hum before scooting closer to you. You could feel the warmth radiating off of his skin. The sweet smell of roses accompanying it. Your relationship with the redhead had always been touchy. Never shying away from affection towards one another. So you hardly minded when he moved to cup your cheek. Guiding your gaze to meet his.
“We'll win. Just one more match until we're in the finals.”
So sure, he sounded so sure that you couldn't help but believe him. Emerald eyes filled with determination. You used to joke that he was hypnotizing you with them. So pretty that you couldn't focus on anything else except him. The theory seemed more plausible now that you knew he wasn't exactly human.
“And then we can go home,” he promised.
But you still had your doubts.
“Yeah? Yusuke and the ‘masked fighter’ still aren't back. And the enemies just keep getting stronger.”
The hurdles just keep getting bigger, and you didn't think the four of them could keep up anymore. Too much had been thrown at them.
“Can you really win like this?”
You could see the conflict brewing behind his eyes. Try as he might, Kurama could never hide his emotions from you. You knew the answer before he said it.
“We have to.” Careful, always so careful with his choice of words. Not promising you a for sure victory, but reaffirming what you already knew. You knew what he wanted to say…But you also knew he couldn't admit it. Not to you and not to himself.
The real answer- He doesn’t know.
“Tomorrow's a big day, let's get some rest.”
A sign the conversation had drawn to a close. You weren't in the mood to push anyways. So you followed him to his room. The both of you slipping into the same bed, with Shuichi's arms wrapping tightly around you. Most likely the last time he'd ever get to hold you.
—-----------------------------
Tomorrow came far too soon. There was still no sign of Yusuke and the masked fighter, meaning the team would be at a complete disadvantage. If you had any semblance of martial arts training, you would have volunteered to take one of their places. Though truthfully you knew you wouldn't have been able to put up much of a fight.
You slipped into your own room to get ready, mentally preparing yourself for the day. Surprisingly, there was no one in the lobby waiting. You couldn't help but wonder where the girls were. Usually all of you went to the arena together. For safety purposes, of course. Perhaps they'd already made their way there? They didn't seem like the type to get up early, but maybe just this once they'd made the effort.
Apparently you were dead wrong.
You'd searched everywhere in the stands, testing your luck and even asking a few demons if they'd seen them. No luck. You were completely on your own. It didn't help that this new stadium was 10 times bigger than the old one. No one would even notice if something happened to you here.
You really only had two two options before the match started. You could stay here, surrounded by bloodthirsty demons who were starting to eye you with drool. Or you could go down to where Shuichi and his friends were, right in front of all the action and potentially get hurt.
It was a no brainer what you’d choose. Besides, he'd never let you get hurt on his watch. And you trusted the other two with your safety when it would be his turn to fight. You didn't think they would be cruel enough to leave you wide open for injury. Or at least, Kuwabara would do his best. He'd proven he had the most humanity during this tournament.
Yeah, you were much safer near the actual fights than you were surrounded by demons. Begrudgingly, you made your way down. Dodging a few swipes directed at you before jumping over the railing. Your actions quickly catching the attention of Koto, the cat announcer.
“And who is that making their way over to Team Urameshi! Could this be their alternate fighter? Or perhaps one of their lovers~”
You cursed her for drawing attention directly towards you. Already feeling all eyes on you as you approached.
“What are you doing here?” Kurama questioned. The other two looked expectantly at you for your answer.
“I have no idea where the girls are. And I don't think it's a good idea for me to be up in that stadium by myself.”
He gave a hum, about to usher you closer to him when someone beat him to the punch.
“Well I'll protect ya, so don't worry!” Kuwabara assured. Pulling you close by your shoulders in a way that had you laughing. Unawares of the subtle way Kurama's eyes had narrowed.
“Thank you. That's very sweet.”
“Don't mention it. Nothing gets past me, so I'll let you know when to duck and cover.”
“If that's the case, they're better off in the stadium,” Hiei commented.
“What did you say, shrimp!” Kuwabara released you to get in his face. The two of them continuing to bicker while you laughed.
Your gaze caught Shuichi's and you offered an amused grin.
“Your friends seem fun. Can't believe you didn't introduce me to them sooner.”
“They’re not exactly the type you bring up in passing. And I doubt you would've believed I was associated with them,” he answered, though there was some mirth in his eyes that let you know he was teasing.
“Excuse me, I'd like to get back to the semi-finals now,” Juri, the fish announcer this time, interrupted.
It once again reminded you just where you were. What could happen if any of Kurama and his friends slipped up. You shouldn't be joking around causing a distraction. Not when lives were at stake. His life. Your anxieties only worsened when the first round begun.
Sure Hiei had managed to beat his opponent in under five minutes. But the brief second he'd disappeared made your heart stop. Unconsciously moving yourself closer to Kurama.
The second match was much worse. The burly man in front of Hiei using his sword to cut his own arm. Explaining how once his body had been exposed to a specific pain, it wouldn't affect him the next time he was hurt. It was only a matter of time before the smaller demon ran out of options. With his sword broken and his spirit energy depleted, he took a gamble.
The conclusion of the fight had felt so sudden. So brutal. Kuro Momotaro had seemingly won, his teeth piercing into Hiei's shoulder. The aftermath was a fountain of blood spraying out.
You’d flinched away at the sight, trying your best to shut out the triumphant cheers of the stadium. Only for them to go quiet as Hiei shoved the body off of him. The shape shifting demon now in pieces on the floor. Hiei was okay. And as he continued to antagonize Kuwabara, you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding.
It was easier to stomach the fights when you were with the girls. People who weren't desensitized to the carnage around them. Nobody had batted an eye down here. They all seemed used to it. Only further reminding you just how feeble and weak you were in their presence.
Hell, Hiei was practically begging for a round three despite his condition. The dice were brought out again, and you were praying to whatever God was up there it wouldn't land on Shuichi's name. You knew it wasn't fair. He needed to fight at some point. Judging by the determined expression on his face, he wanted to. But you didn't have a good feeling about this. You didn't want him to leave your side towards his potential death.
Please don't let it be him.
“Now fighting for Team Urameshi, Kurama. and for team Uraotogi, Uraurashima.”
Fuck.
You stood shakily next to Hiei and Kuwabara as Kurama stepped into the area. His opponent a young boy with a fishing pole. At least he looked easy to beat. It gave you momentary relief before both of them drew their weapons. Uraurashima’s fishing line clashing with Kurama's Rose Whip. Equally bouncing off of each other with no indication of one overpowering the other.
“They're evenly matched? Or is he not fighting for real?” You asked.
Hiei gave a bark of laughter at your observation.
“So you do know him well. Kurama's just fooling around. It's an obnoxious habit. He never creates his own strategy until he fully understands his opponent's.”
You were gonna strangle Shuichi when he was done fighting.
“Nice to know he over analyzes everything.”
You watched as they continued to have a stalemate. Though something had changed in Shuichi's expression. It was somber. Like he was contemplating something. Now was not the time for him to get distracted.
He let up on his assault along with his opponent. And right when he moved to haphazardly strike, Uraurashima dodged. Wrapping Kurama in his fishing line and pulling as hard as he could. Slicing into his skin.
You couldn't stop yourself from screaming out his name. Kuwabara instinctively pulling you behind him.
“Don't look, okay?”
Don't look? How could you not look. That was your best friend up there. No matter how badly you wanted to turn away, you couldn't. Looking on in horror as Uraurashima approached him. Surely Kurama had some other trick up his sleeve to protect himself?
But his eyes told you a different story. Frustration and anger. You don't think you've ever seen him mad before. He staggered on his feet, only for the onslaught to continue. It looked hopeless as he fled.
Your eyes widening with tears once he was cornered. There was nowhere to run. A forcefield in effect prevented him from doing so. His opponent presenting a box of some kind and opening it. Purple smoke poured out as he explained how it worked.
It would de-age Kurama. Turn him into a child where he couldn't defend himself. A cowards move. Only when the entire arena had been filled with smoke did your tears fall.
You were powerless to do anything. You couldn't help him even if you wanted to. Designated to nothing but a bystander in his fate. Your worst fear coming true.
It was silent for a moment. Complete silence as the Idun box worked its magic. Then all at once lightning struck. No, not lighting… it was a spike of spirit energy.
Your body shook as it tried to process the power around it. The force was almost strangling.
“Do you feel that, too?” Kuwabara asked before looking back at you. He visibly panicked seeing you struggle to breathe.
“Hiei! We need some help over here!”
The three eyed demon spared you a glance, giving an irritated huff as he pulled you towards him.
“Stand close to me. I should've known someone as weak as you wouldn't be able to withstand this much. Your body isn't used to this much spiritual pressure.”
He created a small barrier of his own energy around you. You took a few greedy gasps of air. Relieved to be able to breathe again. You offered a weak ‘Thanks.’ Still worried about what exactly was happening.
This power…Could it really have been Shuichi's? Or was it something else entirely? Was he even still alive?
“Where's all that weird energy coming from?” Kuwabara questioned.
Hiei only seemed to beam with pride.
“It's all Kurama. Down to the last drop.” He responded.
You wanted to start crying again. Your emotions all over the place. He was okay in there after all. Maybe he'd be able to find a way to win.
“But it feels different somehow, and a heck of a lot more powerful,” Kuwabara pointed out.
“That fool he's been fighting has turned him back into his demon form. Before he was tainted by you humans.” Hiei explained.
That caught your attention. A part of you defensive at his words.
“Tainted? It's not like we made him stay.” Like you'd ruined him with your presence.
“No, not directly. That doesn't change the fact you made him weaker. Soft.”
You wanted to question him about what he meant, but the sound of something crashing through the barrier stopped you. All at once the smoke started pouring out. The forcefield itself was destroyed. In a matter of seconds the arena was clear.
In its wake was a red demon with its neck pierced by a sword. Further away was….No. That couldn't be.
“Shuichi?”
You regretted calling out to him as soon as his name left your lips. The silver haired demon’s head snapped towards you. The pair of ears on his head seemed to twitch at your voice.
He was different, so very different from the man you knew. His demeanor felt cold. You briefly remembered what he used to be: a fox. If the ears and tail didn't already give it away. Wild and unpredictable. If your friend was in there, it sure didn't look like it.
You trembled at the intensity from his gaze. He made a gesture with his hand, as if reaching out before you felt the ground give way. You could feel yourself fall back, landing on something soft. You hardly processed yourself moving up until you were about ten feet off the ground. You realized then what you were on top of. A type of giant leaf was carrying you.
What the hell was going on? What was gonna happen to you?
You felt the leaf shift forward, and that was when you decided to call for help. For the one person who would probably know what to do.
"Hiei, help me!” You tried to reach down, but he backed away.
You let out a scream this time as the leaf rushed forward. Kuwabara tried to reach for you, but he was stopped by the three eyed demon.
“What gives!?!? Why aren't you helping them!?!”
“Fool. Don't interfere or you'll wind up dead.”
You couldn't hear them as you were pulled towards the other side of the area. Vaguely aware of Koto’s comments.
“Now this just took an interesting turn! The mystery fighter has taken interest in the human on the field! Is he perhaps looking for his next meal?”
You were at the edge of the arena shaking. It only worsened as who you assumed to be Yoko made his way towards you. Taking slow and meticulous steps. Like a predator stalking it's cornered prey.
Why you?
Why did it have to be you?
Why did you have to go and open your big fat mouth?
Maybe he wasn't satisfied with his previous fight. Wanting to take out whatever pent up aggression he had on you. A human who just so happened to be on the field. His expression hadn't changed once since he set his sights on you. Maybe he really was planning on eating you. It's not like it was against the rules.
He was halfway to you now. You could barely hear over the sound of your heartbeat in your ears.
“We'd really like to move on to the next match now, if you don't mind,” Juri said, now back to normal.
“Quiet.”
One word was all it took to have her trembling.
“Or not! Take your time.”
His voice sounded gruff. Harsher than any tone you'd heard him use. You knew Shuichi, or rather Kurama. The boy who used to give you flowers everyday after school until he got teased for it. The boy who loved his mother more than anything. The boy who you'd never known to like senseless violence. You knew he would never hurt you. Never dream of hurting you. But this…This was not him.
A quarter of the way there.
And then he was right in front of you.
This was Yoko. An infamous demon who’d committed heinous crimes. Far too many to count. Who could kill you with no more than a swipe of his hand. And he probably would. Sharp claws on the end of each fingertip. More than enough to finish you off.
You trembled on top of the giant leaf as his gaze pierced through you. His eyes didn't hold the same warmth as Shuichi's. The familiar emerald green replaced by a faded gold. They were cold. The color so light it held nothing but ice. You continued to shake in front of him. Hoping to catch a glimpse of your best friend.
“Do you fear me, sweetling?” He spoke at last.
Your words were stuck in your throat. Unable to answer him. Fearing what would happen if you didn't.
His hand started to extend out towards you. You'd flinched and closed your eyes at the sudden movement. Expecting the worst. This was it. He was gonna slash your throat. You braced yourself for the inevitable pain…but it never came.
Instead, he'd cupped your cheek. His thumb swiping away a stray tear. An action reminiscent of Shuichi. Your Shuichi.
“You shouldn't. Open your eyes and look at me.”
You could feel your trembling ease up. Was this a game? If it was, should you play along? You didn't know what to think at the moment. If you should relax in his presence or run. But there was something about the way he was cradling your face. It was gentle. So against your better judgment, you opened your eyes. Taking a deep breath as he guided your face up.
You looked into his golden irises in search of your best friend. They weren't as cold this time. Flecks of the emerald you were used to. The softness he looked at you with had returned. Or maybe it had never really left. Your shaking had stopped completely.
“Shuichi?” you called out once more. And this time he'd smiled at you. Somehow managing to get closer into your space. But you couldn't say you minded much. Your relationship had always been touchy.
“We are one in the same. Though it's a shame he hasn't staked his claim on you yet. I will not forgo the opportunity should we meet again.”
Your face scrunched in confusion at his words. Temporary moving out of his grasp.
“What do mean stake his claim?”
His expression turned amused at your question.
“Isn't it obvious? You're ours. Our precious little mate. Shuichi is hesitant to act on his feelings. But I am not.”
You felt the leaf shift down. Letting Yoko once again cup your face. This time guiding you to bump your forehead against his.
“I am yours devotedly until the end of time.”
You could feel your face burning with embarrassment. This whole time he'd liked you. Even in his purest form he was in love with you. Why had you been so scared of losing him?
Because you'd loved him too.
“Do my ears deceive me!?!? He's actually flirting with the human!?!? Well there goes my weekend.”
But this wasn't the place for that. He couldn't be distracted by you here. There was too much at stake. Maybe when this whole tournament was over, you could properly explore these feelings.
He was leaning closer to you.
Would you turn him away if he kissed you now?
You decided the tournament committee could shove it as his lips brushed over yours.
But before they could press down fully, a heavy fog engulfed him. He'd backed away from you. The silhouette of a fox appearing for a brief second. Then it vanished, into a ray of light with one last thing to say.
“Until we meet again, sweetling.”
The light had been so blinding, you had no choice but to look away. When the dust had settled, in front of you was a familiar redhead. His tail and ears completely gone. He'd retained his previous injuries. But other than that, he was fine. He stood in front of you with an unreadable expression.
“Are you kidding me!?!? After all that we didn't even get a proper kiss!!!! Where's the entertainment in that!?!”
All at once his face went red. He was almost never flustered. Then again, his feelings were just aired out to the entire stadium. Your relationship was aired out. You knew he was a private person, so this must've felt humiliating. The cooing from the audience sure as hell didn't help.
He scooped you off of the giant leaf without a word. Surprising you with how easily he picked you up. Clutching you close to him as he made his way off the arena. His face was burning, matching your expression.
“My apologies.” he said quietly.
You could do nothing but put your head between his neck and shoulder. Wanting to hide yourself from everyone's prying eyes.
“It's okay. I didn't mind. I mean, at first you scared me. But once I saw it was really you..” you trailed off.
There was a brief silence before Shuichi spoke again.
“You reciprocated Yoko’s advancements.”
“I reciprocated your advancements.” Because they were one in the same. Although it was a little amusing to see him get jealous of himself.
“I would've let you kiss me too.” you added.
He'd finally reached the end of the area and jumped down with you still in his arms.
“I plan making good on that promise once we finish up here.”

being a Carpenter and dating Ethan Landry
Tumblr media
Since your older sister left the house due to a fight with your mom, you and Tara stayed together
Due to Tara being the oldest by a year, she was the one that took care of you when your mom was on a work trip
Like the one that changed everyone lives with the return of ghostface
That night while you and Tara were preparing dinner, she answered a call that seemed innocent and some prank at the beggining, but the moment it turned threatening, Tara instructed you to run towards the second floor and call the police
Even if you wanted to stay with her, she was quick to push you to the second floor
While you were in there calling the police, you cried hearing how your sister was being attacked, finally getting down the moment you heard the police on the first floor
During the whole night at the hospital, you spend it answering the police questions and waiting in Tara's room unable to sleep
The arrive of Sam along with her boyfriend was a relief to you because having your older sister meant someone to take care of both of you
But the killings didn't stopped, ending in loosing Wes, sheriff Judy and Dewey; and you, Tara and Richie were attacked at the hospital, leaving you with a medium scar in your thigh and a small one in your back
Deciding that leaving the city was the best for yours and Tara security, Sam took the decision to move to Modesto where she and Richie lived
Unfortunately, Tara didn't had her inhaler with her and the replace was at Amber's house
Hell broke in there because of the reveal of Amber as the murder when she shot Liv on the head, and then Richie when he stabbed Sam
So, after a long night that ended up in you, Sam, Tara, Chad, Mindy and Sidney and Gale, the OG's, injured, the killing spree was over
Since your mom ignored Sam after she told you and Tara the truth about her biological father, you felt bad for her because she did everything to protect both of you
So you started to hang out more with her to recover the lost time
After Tara and the twins finished high school, they decided to go to Blackmore University in New York, along with you since you mannaged to finish your last year online
Sam also went with the four of you to keep an eye on both of you, which Tara didn't like
While Tara decided that the best way to cope with the situation was forgetting what happened and try to live her life as a normal young adult, you got closer to Sam because you felt safe with her
Renting an apartment close to the university, the three of you manage to get a roommate named Quinn to share the costs of living there, who was the daughter of a detective
Meanwhile, Chad and Mindy stayed in the dorms
That's how you and Ethan met
He was a little shy and quiet, and that's what you liked of him, also how he was sweet, nice and caring with you
So, after three months of knowing each other, you and Ethan started a relationship
But before he had a small interrogative by Sam, Tara, Mindy and Chad
Ethan was basically the perfect boyfriend
He listen to everything you said, took notice of small mannerisms you use to do, remember everything you liked, help you with your homework or school projects, almost every morning got your favourite drink from your favourite cafeteria or your favourite snacks, give you gifts on random days
Taking you to dates to dinner, to the movies, to the theater, etc
You trusted him enough to tell him what happened last year
When Halloween was around the corner and a frathernity was organizing a party where all the friend group planned to go, Sam didn't let you and Tara go
"What about we stay in your department or in my dorm and have a movie night?", Ethan suggested while walking around campus
"Oh, we're going to that party", you exclaimed
"I thought Sam forbidden you and Tara to go to the party"
"She did, but she also has her therapy session that night, so we are going to scape the apartment, and Quinn already said she will cover us, anyway, what are you going to use as a costume?"
"I was thinking about the cardboard knight costume of Murder Party"
"Sounds interesting! I might be using something similar so that way we can be complementing each other"
"I like that idea", Ethan smiled leaning over to give you a kiss that you acepted with a smile
After an emergency go out shopping with Tara, both of you got your costumes
The night of the party, the moment Sam anounced she was going, you and Tara were getting ready to leave for the party
While Tara dressed as a pirate, you chose to be a princess, with your outfit that consisted in a short pink dress with silver platform ankle boots and a tiara with your hair in small waves
A few minutes after Sam left the building, you and Tara practically run towards the campus which wasn't so far
Arriving at the frat house, you were quick to glue to Ethan and Chad while Tara stayed with her friends but still been supervised by Mindy and Anika
Things were normal for a few hours, except for the people dressed as ghostface, until Tara got into little trouble
"Hey, big guy, you're needed", Anika called, "You too little Carpenter"
Knowing it was about Tara, all of you ran towards the stairs where a drunk Tara was going to the second floor with a random guy
"Hey partner!", Chad called getting their attention, "Tara's good down here"
"Sorry, bro, I didn't catch that", the random guy said
"Yeah, you did", Chad laughed sarcastically
"Tara, what if we go to get some shots", you tried to convince her to stay, "A fun contest between sisters"
"Chad, Y/N, it's fine", Tara said getting down from some stairs, "I want to"
"No, you don't", you continue to try, "Just stay here with us, please"
"Yeah, see, Chad?", the creepy guy intervined, "She wants to, Y/N can come too, to have more fun"
"Don't talk to her", Ethan intervined steping closer to you
Taking Tara by the arm with strength causing her to fall at what Chad was quick to pull him to the first floor and start a small fight, while you kneeled next to Tara to help her
Things started to get violent, until Sam arrived tasing the creepy guy in the balls leaving him in the floor, but Tara wasn't happy to see her sister there, so she was quick to leave the party with Sam and the rest of you following close
"Tara, will you stop?", Sam demanded walking behind her
"I cannot believe you did that! You embarrased me", Tara yelled
"That guy was a dick", Sam yelled in response, "He was gonna take advantage of you"
"So?"
"You did not say that!", you intervined getting closer to them
"So?"
"If I want to hook up with an asshole, that's my decision! It's my decision", Tara exclaimed, "It's not about you! You're out of mine and Y/N lives for five years, and then you can't leave us alone for five minutes"
"Hey! I'm happy to have Sam around us", you said standing by their side
"Because you're not dealing with what happened to us, Y/N has gone with me sometimes with my therapist to talk about it, have you even gone to see the counselor once?"
"No, I'm not going to"
"Why not?", Sam asked
"Because I'm uninterested in living in the past like you are"
"What's that supposed to mean?", Sam questioned a little shocked
"Guys, come on", Chad tried to stop the discussion but it didn't work
"It means I'm not gonna let what happened to us for three days define the rest of my life", Tara explained
"So you're just gonna pretend it never happened", Sam concluded
"What are you doing here, Sam? In New York", Tara sighed, "You're working two shitty jobs to help with rent, whatever, but what's your plan? I know what I'm gonna do, okay? Because I'm gonna keep going to college, I'm gonna get my degree, and I'm gonna live my life"
"I was the one who told Sam about our plans to move here", you revealed surprising her, "And convinced her to come with us"
"Why did you do that?", Tara questioned
"Because I feel safer with her around", you exclaimed
"Are you fucking serious?", Tara yelled, "She is here breathing in our necks because of you?"
"Exactly", you responded in the same way, "You're welcome"
"I'm just trying to look out for you", Sam spoke looking at the both of you
"I know you are", Tara sighed more calmed, "You can't do it for the rest of my life, though, you have to let me go, you have to let us go"
But before Sam could say anything, a group of random girls throw a drink towards her accusing her to be a murderer
Arriving at the apartment Tara was quick to enter her room while you did the same to change into your pajamas that consisted in an oversized shirt and biker shorts and to return to the living room where the rest was and sit with Ethan in the one-person couch
Watching the news, they anounced that there was a multiple murder that night alerting everyone because ghostsface masks were involved
Of course the instant reaction of Sam towards that was to you and Tara to pack your things to move, but of course both of you refused
Getting a call from detective Bailey, Sam started to make her way to the police station, at what you and Tara decided to follow her
But Ghostface apeared threatening to kill the three of you, ending up in a tense scene in the bodega close to the apartment, fortunately getting alive from there
So, after being in the police station all night, meeting Kirby Reed and knowing by Gale that Sidney decided to not intervined and go away, which the three of you understand
After changing clothes and being a little more calmed and reuniting with the others, all of you decided to have a little reunion to discuss the situation
"Okay, nerds, listen up!", Mindy started with her monologue, "As terrifying as this all is, I’m actually glad I get a chance to redeem myself for not calling the killers last time, the way I see it, someone is out making a sequel to the requel?"
"What's a requel?", Anika asked
"You'are beautiful sweetie, let's hold questions to the end", Mindy responded
"Stab 1 took place in Woodsboro, Stab 2 took place in college", Sam reminded
"So the killer is trying to copy the movies?", Tara suggested
"That is one posibility", Mindy nodded, "Heroes now in college, check, suspicious new characters brought into to add to the suspect list and our body count, check, check and check"
"I don't like this", Ethan murmured at what you sitting by his side took his hand in yours
"But it can't be just about Stab 2"
"Why not?", Tara frowned at Mindy comment
"It make sense if this just a sequel, but we are not in a sequel, because no one does sequels anymore, we're in a franchise!", Mindy exclaimed, "And there are certain rules to in a continuing franchise, rule one: everything is bigger than last time, bigger budget, bigger cast, bigger body count, longer chasings, shoot outs, beheadings, you've got to duplicate everything to make people keep coming back; rule two: whatever happen last time expect the opposite, franchises only survive by suberting expectations, if the killers last time were whiny snowflake film nerds with Letterboxd accounts instead of personalities, you can bet the opposite will be though here; and rule three: no one is safe, legacy characters are expandable at this point, usually brought back only to be killed of in some cheap bit of nostalgia, it's not looking too good for Gale and Kirby, and that's not even the worst part"
"This is the part were she tells us the worst part", Chad said writting in his notebook
"The worst part is franchises are just continuing episodic stallments designed to boost an IP, which means, main characters are completely expandable too, Laurie Strode, Nancy Thompson, Ellen Ripley, Sally Hardessy, Jigsaw, Tony Stark, James Bond, even Luke Skywalker, all died so their franchises could live on, that means it's not just us friend group, any of us could go at anytime, specially Sam, Tara and Y/N"
"Wait, wait, wait", Ethan spoke, "Any of us? Am I in the friend group?Am I like one of the targets? Am I gonna die a virgin?"
"You're not a virgin", you exclaimed turning to look him while frowning, "And we both know it"
"That was a weird and gross overshare", Mindy interrupted, "But that bring us to our current suspects, Ethan, the shy dorky guy who no one suspects because he's so shy and dorky"
"Wait, why am I on the suspect list? Because I randomly Chad's roommate and Y/N and I are dating?"
"Rommate lotteries can be juked, you could've fix it to be next to us, and that also applies to your relationship with Y/N; Quinn, the slutty roommate, a horror movie classic"
"Sex positive, but, thank you?"
"Hmm, how did you come up to live with Sam, Tara and Y/N?", Mindy asked
"I answered their add online"
"Okay, say no more, you already implicated yourself enough"
"It was an anonymous add, Mindy", Tara said, "And you know we vetted her, plus her dad is a cop"
"And that makes her more likely that she is the killer, because having a cop dad is a great cover, you don't remeber how this movies work, Tara?!
"Is she always like this?", Quinn asked at what Sam nodded
"And finally, Anika, never trust the love interest, that also goes to you, Y/N"
For the rest of the day, all of you tried to stay together or in pairs, untill the night were everyone will be having a sleepover at the appartment, but Ethan couldn't go because he had econ that night
Things started normal at first, until Danny, the cute neighboor and Sam's boyfriend airdroped a photo in which the scene of Quinn being stabbed by ghostface in her room followed by screams and hits inside her room, and then a creepy silence was enough to run towards her door
Hell was released when the dead body of Quinn was thrown out of the room towards the group landing on Anika
In a reflex move, Chad took Tara's hand who took you by your arm dragging the three of you to the entrance door to scape, but leaving the rest inside, but relazing that the rest were still inside the three of you tried to enter again but all of your keys were inside
The next morning, Ethan arrived at the scene instantly being interrogated by Chad about where he was last night, at what he said that he was at econ, just what he told you the day before
After everyone was more calmed, Gale lead the group to a old theater that now was a shrine dedicated to ghostface and the Stab franchise, from some posters to all of the ghostface robes, everything was there, except the masks
Coming out with a plan to catch ghostface in broad daylight and in a public space, you along with your sisters put yourselves as the bait while the others wait in the van where Kirby will be tracking the origin of the call
Unfortunately, the call was track down in the same appartment building where Gale lives, making the three of you to "steal" Wayne's police car and drive towards there, arriving when she was laying on the floor with life threatening injuries but alive
Another plan was made: catching ghostface in the shrine and traveling in group
Arriving at the subway, and due to the crowd station because of Halloween, the group got separated in two, with you, Sam, Tara, Chad and Danny in a train, and Mindy and Ethan waiting for the next one
Being the first ones to arrive at the shrine and leaving Danny outside, Tara and Chad went to the snack bar, while you stayed with Sam, trying to contact Ethan or Mindy but none of them responded
Being there, you just took a seat in the steps of the stage watching how Sam took the old knife that once belonged to her father
"Should I grab a knife too?", you asked getting her attention
"Only for security", Sam nodded
Walking a little, you watched the collection until you stopped in front of a display where a draw of Richie's death was along with a knife covered in blood, so you opened it to take the knife and hide it in the back of your jeans
Things went down quickly when Sam recieved a call from detective Bailey warning about Kirby being ghostface due to being to affected by the Woodsboro 2011 masacre
Running to get Chad and Tara, they informed that ghostface was there and where attacked by him, so a persecution in the whole theater started, realizing that they were two of them when Chad was stabbed multiple times by them leaving him in the floor
Keeping running and dragging Tara, the three of you returned to the central part of the shrine only to being circled by the two ghostface at what Sam took some brick from the floor to defend yourselves
But the son-to-be fight was interrupted by a injured but alive Kirby who started shooting at the masked killers
When detective Bailey arrived, in a unexpected move, he shot Kirby while the two ghostfaces
"Great job, both of you", Wayne praised his two partners leaving the three of you shocked
"You?", Tara asked in shock
"Yeah, of course me", Wayne responded, "Frankly, I expected more from the three of you after what you did to us"
"What do you mean, 'us'?", Tara asked again
The moment you saw the face of one of the ghostface you felt like something broke inside of you, most exactly your heart
Sensing how you must be feeling, Sam was quick to hold one of your hands
"Mindy was right", Ethan laughed, "It was easy to juke the roommate lottery, all I had to do to meet you was room with a conceited, condescending alpha literally named Chad, fuck it felt good to kill him! And Y/n, you were never part of the plan, but we kinda connected, so being in a relationship with you was even better for this"
"Fuck you", was the only thing that was able to come out of your mouth at that moment
"This was your grandmother's, Sam", Ethan continued pointing at the mask, "Nancy Loomis, really runs in the fucking family, doesn't it? Speaking of family...wait for it, my name's not Ethan Landry, is it, dad?"
"Well, that explains why I never met your parents", you commented with your arms crossed, "Wait a second, if you are father and son, that means Quinn was also part of your family, and most probably knew the twisted plan, and she was "killed" last night, or it was all fake, am I right?"
"I told you she has a great mind", Ethan murmured to his father while the other ghostface took their mask out
"Hey, roomies", Quinn sing softly, "You didn't see that coming, did you?"
"Yeah, because you died!", Tara exclaimed
"Kind of didn't, though", Quinn said, "It was a good way to get off the suspect list, stab Gale Weathers, stab Mindy on the train, that sort of things"
"Yep, and I just made sure I was first on the scene so I could switch her body out with a fresh one", Wayne explained like it was a normal thing, "Little fake blood, a prosthetic, you'd be amazed at what a grieving father can get away with"
"I got Stu Macher's mask", Quinn spoke now being at one side behind some displays, "He was my favorite"
"Nice, that's number three", Wayne continued refering to the masks, That's two, which leaves your father's, this is what we've been counting down to, Sam, I'm gonna need you to put it on"
"Fuck you!", Sam yelled throwing the mask away
That action made Ethan slash Sam's arm scaring you and Tara more
"What? What is this? You did this as a family?", Sam interrogated
"Hell yeah, bitch!", Quinn screamed getting closer to the three of you, "You should know better than anyone"
"They're still not getting it", Ethan giggled
"I don't know what you believe, but I didn't commit those murders in Woodsboro", Sam said with desesperation, "It wasn't me!"
"We know that", Wayne spoke again, "Of course you didn't, you think this is based on some bullshit conspiracy theory? Come on, who do you think started the rumors about you in first place?"
"Do you know how easy it was to turn Sam from the hero of Woodsboro into the villain?", Quinn mocked, "How easy it is to convice the world to believe the worst in people rather than the best?"
"Because it's not enough to just kill someone these days", Ethan continued, "You have to assassinate their character first, so when dad here "discovers" your horribly mutilated bodies posed with Sam wearing her father's mask, he'll say some poor bastard read on the internet that you're the real ghostface and took matters into their own deluded hands"
"Exactly! That's why it's the perfect alibi", Wayne exclaimed, "All the best lies are based on the truth, and you're a killer, just like your father"
"No, I'm not!", Sam denied
"Yes, you are, you motherfucker!", Quinn yelled, "You killed our brother!"
"What are you talking about?", Sam questioned
"You said your brother died in a car accident", Tara reminded
"No, no no, you sweet, dumb thing", Ethan spoke again, "He died in Woodsboro at the hands of your bitch sister"
"Wait a second", you said finally realizing everything, "Curly and kinda light hair, light colored eyes, Richie was your son and sibling"
"Yeah", Wayne nodded
Slightly turning around, Sam recieved a quick stab near her chest by Ethan, which made the three of you to try to scape but again you were circled
"Now! It wasn't until I saw that photograph of what you'd actually done to him that I knew, that I knew you had to fucking die! You had to be punished! Along with anyone else who stands in our way", Wayne continued to yell
"There she is", Quinn murmured with her knife against Sam's throat noticing the look in her eyes, "There's the fucking killer"
"Great parenting job, by the way", Tara commented at what you snorted
"Shut your whore fucking mouth!", Quinn screamed pushing the three of you to the center of the space
"Have I been a perfect dad? No", Wayne proceeded, "Have I maybe overindulged Richie's love of these little movies? Yeah, maybe, for me, they're just a little dark, but...Richie really loved them, he loved them! He even made a few of his own"
In the screen on the scenary, one of Richie's home made movies was playing while Wayne started to climb the stairs
"There's a very special bond between a father and his first son"
Hearing that phrase, you turn your head to look at your psycho boyfriend with pity at what he shared a look with you that demostrated a little bit of pain, but he hide it quickly pointing his knife at you, making you return your attention to the stage
"Which is why I helped him build this collection"
"This was all his?", Sam asked
"Yes, he's a very passionate collector, and he inspired others, we had to kill those two wannabe film students because, well, we had to do kill you first, Sam, I put the theater in their name, then good old detective Bailey would've just stumble on it, but I didn't have to because, by golly, that Gale Weathers is one hell of a journalist, I built a tribute to my son, which is why this is where you have to die, Sam, surrounded by the things he loved the most"
"What happens next? After you're done with us you just disappear?"
"No! We got to hurry over the hospital and make sure Mindy and Gale don't pull through, because everybody dies, Sam! Everyone who had anything to do with the death of my son suffers and dies, now put on the mask"
"He was so pathetic", Sam sighed
"That's not true", Wayne suttered
"Yeah, your son, he was a man-baby who made his girlfriend do all the killing"
"He was a strong, virile young man", Wayne insisted slightly trembling
"He was a limp-dick little fuck who cried before I slit his throat"
With that last phrase, hell got loose because Quinn angry for hearing those words of her late brother loose control running towards the three of you which caused to you and Tara to hit her with the blocks, running towards a stairs thanks to a distraction by a very alive Kirby who shoot at Wayne
Stopping for a second, you turn to look at Sam stabbing Ethan repeatedly in the chest and shoulder, before following Tara on the stairs to the second floor, at what you were quick to grab your knife from your jeans
Once Sam was by your side, the three of you started to walk in the little to no space being careful to not fall
Until a bullet hit where you were passing, causing you to almost fall if it wasn't for your sisters holding your hands
"Guys, I'm sliping", you said with desesperation
"We got you", Tara tried to reassure you
"It's okay", Sam continued
But even with both strenghts combined you were still sliping because the blood on their hands, even worse when Ethan was under you waving his knife at your feet
"Come here so we can play like we like to, Y/N", Ethan mocked
"Fucking psycho!", you yelled, "And I'm breaking up with you!"
"Fuck you! You guys are so fucked now"
Noticing how Quinn with her face all bloody and a few teeths gone was aproaching the three of you, Tara was quick to give a solution
"Sam, we have to let her go"
"No", Sam denied
"Sam, please", you pleaded understanding the plan, "It's the only way, please, let me go"
"We have to let her go"
Trusting in both of you and making sure you got your knife in your hand, Sam and Tara let go your hands to take care of Quinn
Falling to the first floor, you landed in front of Ethan who was quick to stab you in the stomach
"Gotcha!", Ethan smiled with pure evil
Taking advantage of his open mouth to return the stab in his throat leaving him surprised by that action, but still looking you in the eyes
"At least you won't die a virgin, my love", you said in a low voice twisting the knife, "By the way, this is the knife that killed your brother"
With that last sentence you pulled the knife feeling the blood combined with saliva splashed in your face and upper body from your psycho now ex boyfriend at the same time his body fell on the ground
Almost a few seconds later of your first kill, a gunshot along with screams sounded on the shrine, next to the scene of Sam and Wayne falling into a glass display
Thankfuly you and Tara managed to wake her up and make a plan to finish the situation
So while Sam will be using her father's robe and mask to kill him, you and Tara will be doing an old fashioned ghostface call from her phone
Fortunately, Wayne fell into the trap, ending in Sam stabing him multiple times, finishing him with a stab on the eye
After a jumpscare of Ethan which ended in Kirby trowing a TV in his head to kill him, Danny arriving with the police and the core five reunited and alive, hell was over

Hi, I wad wonder if you could do a eddie x reader where they started dating right after vecna and the upside down situation happened. Anyways they go to her families house to spend the week with them and so they can get to know eddie more (they love him and thinks he's so sweet). The whole time reader is reader like really short sun dresses and helping her mom cook etc. Since they are staying with her parents reader refuses to have sex and barely even kiss. This is driving eddie absolutely nuts reader doesn't know that what she's doing is frustrating him BAD. one night eddie and her are in her room getting ready for bed and he practically begging her to have sex with him and being really whiny and needy. He ask if he can just put the tip in and he'll be really quiet and she gives in but it ends up being full blown fucking (eddie cant help it). When they go down to have breakfast her brother makes sexual jokes and puns bc he heard them and he parents are clueless. You can make it super smutty that would be awesome.

Carried Away.
Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Fluff, smut
————————————————————————————————————————
It’s been nearly 7 months since the Upside Down had broken through and taken over Hawkins, and about 6 months since you’d started dating Eddie. You had dragged Eddie out from the Upside Down, with the help of Dustin. He got treated for his wounds, and when he was out of the hospital; asked you to be his girlfriend.
Now, you and him were on your way to visit your parents for the week; it’d been awhile because of everything that had happened. You glance over at Eddie, who’s biting his lip nervously. He hadn’t met your parents yet, and was so scared of them not liking him. You sigh, placing your hand on his thigh. “Eddie, you don’t need to be nervous, okay? You survived the Upside Down for god sake.” You giggle, rolling your eyes. His eyes dart to yours briefly, before returning to the road. “This is much scarier.” Is all he says.
As you both make your way to the front door, Eddie is a nervous wreck. You take his sweaty hand into yours, giving him a reassuring squeeze. You knock on the door, and wait. “Eddie, it’s going to be fine.” You giggle and the door swings open. “(Y/N)! Oh my goodness!” Your mom yells, pulling you in for a bone crushing hug. You laugh as you hug her, “Mom, I can’t breathe..” She releases you reluctantly, and your dad walks up behind her. “Hi, sweetie!” He beams at you, before both of their eyes make their way to Eddie.
You glance at him and he smiles at them, shyly. “Mom, Dad.. This is my boyfriend, Eddie. The one I was telling you about.” He holds his hand out, “Nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. (Y/L/N).” They shake his hand, smiling warmly. “Very nice to meet you, Eddie. Come in!” Your mom waves you both in as she walks in the house.
“This is a lovely home you have, ma’am.” Eddie says quietly and she smiles at him. “Oh there’s no need for formality.. Please, call me..” She gives him her name, walking to the kitchen with your father. He leans down, planting a kiss to your lips quickly. “Eddie.. my parents.” You blush, nudging him away. He nods before you both make your way into the kitchen.
After dinner Eddie goes to the bathroom to wash up, leaving you at the table with your parents. Your mom is the first to speak up, “He seems like a very sweet boy.” You smile, gathering plates. “He is, he’s very sweet.” Your face lights up. You dad smiles, “I agree, a very nice boy. Better be treating my daughter right.” He says, half joking. You roll your eyes, “He does, dad. He treats me very well.”
Eddie hears from the hall, a smile playing on his face. You come around the corner and bump into him. “There you are. Come on, I’ll show you my room.” You smile and take his hand. He follows you down the hall, into your old bedroom. Covered in band posters, and polaroids of old friends and family. He smiles as he gazes around the room.
“You had good taste, even as a kid, huh?” He smirks, and you laugh and nod. You flop onto the bed, looking up at the ceiling. He walks over, standing between your legs. You gaze up at him as his hands run up and down your thighs. “What’re you doin’?” You laugh. He smirks, “Oh.. nothing.” He climbs over you, until he’s hovering over your body. “Eddie..” you whine, “We can’t.” You push him until he flops on his back next to you. “Why not?” He groans.
You roll your eyes, gesturing towards the door. “My parents.” He sighs, but nods. After a couple of hours, and unpacking your suitcases, Eddie meeting your brother: who was at a friends house, you both head to bed. You immediately falling asleep to the sound of Eddie’s breathing.
After about 3 days, Eddie was full of pent up sexual frustration; you wouldn’t give him more than a peck on the lips, no sex, and no intimate touching of any kind. He was at a breaking point. You and him are getting ready for bed, when he walks up behind you, placing his arms around your waist. “Eddie..” You breath out and he whines. “Please.. it’s been days, baby. I need you.”
You shake your head, removing his arms from your waist and stepping into bed. He climbs in beside you and pulls your back against his chest. As you lay against him, giving into a cuddle, you feel something hard pressed against your ass. You gasp, realizing. “Eddie!” You whisper yell. “I’m sorry.. I’m just so horny, baby.” He groans quietly into your hair.
You sigh, trying to pry yourself from his grip. You slide over a bit, and hear Eddie huff behind you. “Baby..” He says softly, his hand trailing up your waist. “What, Eddie?” You scold quietly. “Maybe just a little bit.. Like just the tip? I promise I’ll be quiet.” He pleads, an ache forming between your legs at his words.
He pulls you back against him, feeling his straining erection against you once more. You let out a deep sigh, “Fine, Eddie. The tip. That’s it. And be. fucking. quiet.” With that he’s moving quickly to remove his boxers, kicking them somewhere under the sheets.
You help him out by removing your shorts and panties, tossing them from the bed. He pulls you back again, lifting your leg a bit as he grips himself in his hand. He drags the tip slowly between your folds from behind, before nudging the tip against your entrance. You feel him let out a shaky breath as he pushes it into you, stopping at just the tip. You moan softly, holding your pillow to your mouth.
He feels you clenching around him, and feels like he could finish just then. He pulls out a bit, before pushing the tip back in. He grips your hip tightly, trying not to push in farther. You feel the ache growing between your legs as he shallowly thrusts the tip in and out of you. You feel his grip tighten a bit, and he pushes against you a bit harder; his cock pushing farther into you. You bite back a loud moan as you stretch around him. “Sorry, baby.. couldn’t help it.” He whispers and you nod.
“Need you.” You whisper and he loses all self control. He grips your hip hard, sure to leave bruises, and with one quick thrust, he buries himself in you completely. You whine into the pillow, hopefully muffling the sounds. His heavy pants fan your neck as he continues thrusting in from behind. He reaches around, his hand making it’s way up your tank top and gripping a tit in his hand.
You bite the pillow as he rubs the sensitive bud on your chest, a whimper leaving your lips. “Fuck.. you feel so good.” He quietly praises against your neck, leaving wet kisses on the skin. He brings his hand from under your shirt, turning your head towards his from the pillow. He captures your lips in his, wet and sloppy. You moan softly into the kiss, as his hips snap against you, driving his cock deep inside of you.
As he releases you from the kiss, he pushes you onto your stomach, pulling out as he gets behind you. He lifts your hips up, and you keep your chest to the mattress, burying your face into the pillow. He lines himself back up, gripping your hip tightly as he slams back into you. You cry out into the pillow at the new angle, involuntarily pushing back against him.
He bites his lip to hold back moans as he slams in relentlessly, the quiet sound of skin hitting skin bouncing off the walls. He runs a hand up your back, pushing up your top, as the other grips your hip. His hand pushing into your hair, yanking you up against his chest. You’re about to moan loudly when he clasps his hand over your mouth. “Shh.. gotta be quiet, sweetheart.” He whispers against your cheek, bringing the tank top up over your tits to watch them bounce with each hard thrust.
He takes his hand off of your hip, bringing it around to your front and pressing two fingers against your throbbing clit. You gasp into his hand, pushing back to meet his thrusts. His teeth attach to your shoulder as he works into you, getting closer to his high. You’re close, too as his hand rubs tight circles on your bundle of nerves. He feels you beginning to clench around him, and his thrusts get sloppy. His hand falls for a second, just long enough for you to moan “Oh, God, Eddie..” Before he covers it again.
“Gotta be quiet, sweet girl. Shit.. i’m close.” He picks up the pace of his sloppy thrusts, and you’re overtaken by waves of pleasure. Your walls clenching around him as you shake in his grip. Your tightness sends him over the edge, a low grunt leaving his throat as he slams in one last time, spilling deep into you.
He drops his hand as you both collapse onto the bed, his sweaty chest pressed against your sweaty back. He gently eases out, flopping on his back next to you. You both pant heavily as you come down from your highs, your body weak and shaky.
He brings the covers back up, wrapping them over you and him as he pulls you back against him. You sigh deeply as he places gentle kisses to the exposed skin above your tank top. You reach down, pulling the top back down to where it’s supposed to be. “I love you.” He coos into your neck, “I love you, more.” You pant out. He rubs your skin gently until you fall asleep, him falling asleep after you.
You both wake up to the sun shining into your room, and with a groan you stand up, finding your shorts and pulling them back on. You walk over to your dresser and analyze yourself in the mirror. Your lips are swollen, hair a tangled mess, and you see the hickeys lining your shoulder and lower neck. You see Eddie walking up behind you in the mirror, wrapping his arms around your waist. He looks from your eyes, to the bruises on your shoulder, a smirk forming on his face.
“Sorry, guess I got a little carried away.” He hums, kissing the bruises softly. You smile at him through the mirror, reaching in and grabbing a sweater from your dresser, tossing it on to hide the marks.
“(Y/N)! Breakfast is ready!” You hear your mom call from downstairs, Eddie hurriedly throws on pajama pants and his t shirt before you both make your way down the hall. You see your dad at one end of the table, and your brother in the middle seat. Your mother places the last plate on the table before taking a seat in the chair at the other end of the table.
You and Eddie take a seat across from your brother, avoiding the parental gaze. “Hey, sis. Sleep well?” Your brother smirks at you. You blink, nodding slowly. “I did.” you respond, passing the plate to Eddie, who looks confused. “I had a hard time getting to sleep last night, kept hearing noises in the night.” He resumes, you glare at him and Eddie chokes. “You okay, son?” Your dad asks, taking a sip of coffee. Eddie takes a sip of his water, clearing his throat. “Wrong pipe.” He says quietly.
“(Y/N), sweetie you should try the sausage. It’s delicious.” Your mom tells you. You nod, “I don’t know, mom. I think she had enough sausage la-“ You kick him hard under the table, sending him a look that could kiss. “Ow! Jesus.” You groans, holding his leg under the table.
“Alright, what is going on with you two?” Your mom says, looking between you and your brother. You look at each other, and your brother shrugs. “Nothing, nothing but love here.” you laugh, smiling at him sarcastically. Your mom raises an eyebrow but let’s it go.
After breakfast, you and Eddie are laying in your room listening to your old CDs when you hear a knock at your door. “Yeah?” You yell over the music, and your brother walks in; immediately covering his eyes dramatically. “Knock it off, dick.” You tell him, annoyed.
“What do you need?” You say, turning down the music. He sighs, glancing at Eddie. “Do you still have those noise cancelling headphones?” You raise your eyebrow. “Because I really need them for tonight so I don’t have to hear the ‘Oh, god, Eddie!’” He exaggerates a female moan, and you run at him angrily. “Out!” You shove him and slam the door. Eddie is laughing loudly on your bed, holding his stomach.
“Shut up!” You throw a pillow at him and he deadpans you, a small smirk playing on his face as he takes the pillow that you’d used to silence yourself last night. “Make me.” He winks.

“Eddie, I need to talk to you.” Sitting on the bed, while her boyfriend sat next to her on his phone.
“Yeah babe, I’m listening.” This man is still texting on his phone, not even looking at me. This just adds to why.
“Eddie, I don’t think we should see each other anymore.”
“Babe, what do you mean? We were talking about maybe meeting each other friends next week?”
“No, I said we should think about it, you don’t listen to me at all!”
“Nadia, I do, but I thought we discussed this, don’t worry so much babe.” Eddie kissed Nadia on her cheek as she frowned, his hands finally left his phone and ran up her thighs, squeezing them. Nadia pushed his hand away from her and scooted back on the bed.
“I don’t want to date you anymore. You never listen to me. I don’t need this; I am a grown woman.” She stood up and stepped toward the door, Eddie usually would be able to sweet tell her back into things and they’d have some mediocre sex where she might get close, but she would finish herself as he slept.
“Look Nadia, we’re in our mid-thirties, we’re not getting any younger and I don’t see the issue. I pay attention to the big things and keep your bed warm right?” Eddie chuckled and cocked his head back. She wasn’t going anywhere, sometimes she mentioned stuff that he didn’t care about. Nadia was cute when dressed up, larger sure, but he didn’t mind that. She did have a good credit score and a solid job as a school nurse who did PRN work at a hospital, especially during the summer months. She never complained about sex, so he figured that was fine too.
“You don’t pay attention to what I say and I never cum when we have sex if you hadn’t figured that out! I should be entitled to an orgasm sometimes. Fuck you, Eddie! Oh, but you can’t do that right.” Nadia screamed and stormed out of Eddie’s apartment, content to never see him again. That rat bastard wouldn’t know what a clitoris is if it smacked him in the face.
However, she was sweet talked back to Eddie later that night and had slightly better sex, there was at least some foreplay, well if you count sucking a nipple before using lube as they normally did. Nadia had argued a very good game, but she felt that Eddie was right, she was no one’s spring chicken and he was what she had. Bad sex and all.
A year later, Nadia sighed as she filed students’ health records in her office. She had to make sure everything was completed and scanned properly. She came across one record that had no emergent contact listed, it’s September and classes started back in mid-August, no one had caught this yet. Shaking her head, she looked up the student’s name, ‘Camilla Morales’ and asked Shirley, the secretary with the bad blue wig about this kid.
“Eh? Oh, she’s the daughter of that pilot. I don’t judge but I think her father used to use that, what do they call it, nose candy? I call it cocaine.” Shirley muttered, she always had something to say, almost never good.
“Miss Shirley, I didn’t ask you that. Could you just let her homeroom teacher know to ask Camilla to see me instead of homeroom before the last bell?” Nadia asked, sighing again, “And Miss Shirley, you shouldn’t talk about other people’s drug use when your son is still out there shooting heroin and had another OD on his friend’s house. Whoever her father is, he seems to be taking care of his daughter. When has your son last paid child support?” The nurse patted the secretary’s back as she went back to her office.
After sitting back down at her computer, she got a call from her friend Kim. Nadia knew to put her earbuds in.
“Hey girl! You are coming with us tonight?”
“No, I’m going to catch up on Narcos. Eddie is still out of town with the sales team.”
“Ma’am, you need to get out of the house. I mean you and Eddie were going to talk about moving in together, right? Just come and hang, stop moping.”
“I’m not moping. I am enjoying my alone time because I can’t watch Narcos because he doesn’t like gritty drama. I can’t even watch 48 hours.” Nadia lamented, that man really did grind her gears, in her time alone she had more time to think about why she was still this Eddie. She should just ghost him, clearly, she couldn’t break up with him in person.
“Just meet us at this local bar, we’re gonna drink, eat bad food and play some pool.”
“You get aggressive when it gets to pool. Not sure why, you know me and Katie suck at it.”
“Come on, we haven’t seen you since last month.”
“Fine, text me the time and address. I need to go home and get changed though.”
“You better wear something cute! No leggings, no sweats, show them legs!” Kim giggled over the phone, Nadia laughed and stated that she would. The nurse ended her call and small girl with a unicorn backpack, dark twin pigtails in her hair and pink sneakers knocked on her open door.
The last bell dismissing the children to their buses rung loudly.
“Um, hi Miss Nurse. My teacher said you wanted to see me.” The little girl said slowly, her chin was dipped, as if she was expecting she was in trouble.
Nadia smiled warmly and pointed to the chair across from her desk. “You’re Camilla, right? You’re not in any trouble. Come sit, okay?” The child sat in the chair and set her backpack on the floor next to her, hands nervously fluttering on her lap. “My name is Nadia; you can call me Miss Nadia. I called you here because I wanted to know if you could take this paper home and have your daddy fill it out and you can give it to me or your teacher.” Nadia kept the explanation simple; the kid was in 1st grade after all. Camilla nodded and accepted the sheet of paper.
“Miss Nurse, um Miss Nadia, can I wait here for my daddy, he’s supposed to pick me up today. I got all the words right on my spelling test so her promised me ice cream and a movie!” The little girl said excitedly, beaming, “What’s your favorite ice cream? I like vanilla with sprinkles and hot chocolate on top but no cherries. My friend said they sit in your belly for years.” Nadia giggled at Camilla’s question and shook her head.
“No, you shouldn’t eat them often, but they are real cherries and do process the same as the rest of your food. Er…digest. Have you learned about that yet?” Nadia sighed and leaned back in her seat. “Never mind, you can wait for your dad here sure, actually, that way, I can give him the form, my favorite ice cream is chocolate.” She smiled and stood up, walking to the front desk and informed Ms. Shirley to keep an eye out for Camilla’s father.
“Dear, you don’t have to look far, he’s walking this way. He may like some nose candy but if I was thirty years younger….” Miss Shirley muttered, Nadia sighed and shook her head, though Ms. Shirley did talk a lot of mess, she was not wrong.
This man was fine. Eddie wasn’t a bad looking guy, but he didn’t inspire a flush of your cheeks or anything else for that matter.
Mr. Morales was walking assuredly toward the front desk in a grey button-down shirt, blue jeans and brown boots. He had on a black baseball cap with dark brown curls bouncing as he stepped. His face was was firms as his forearms and thighs were. He greeted Miss Shirley curtly and signed in but paused to look at Nadia.
“Good afternoon. I don’t remember you, are you new?” The man asked, with a small smile. Nadia cleared her throat and blinked finally, she felt hot, though the temperature had not changed.
“My name is Nadia Thomas, I’m the school nurse. Your daughter Camilla is in my office.” She said, putting a professional tone in her voice and turned on the balls of her feet to lead him back to her office. It had been quite a long time since she couldn’t face man because she felt sexually incited, but she was at work and about to talk to a father and his daughter. Nadia waved at Camilla, the nurse sat down as Mr. Morales peeked into he office, only his hat, eyes and mustache were visible.
“My hija bonita!” He laughed, a booming laugh that was followed by the shuffling of tiny pink sneakers toward the door. Morales, picked her up and hugged her tightly.
“Papi! I’m happy you came! I’m ready for ice cream! Are we gonna see Barbie? Miss Nadia likes chocolate!” Camilla rattled off rapidly, rubbing her cheek into her father’s stubble. Nadia sighed, feeling depressed that she was jealous a child.
“Is that right? Is that what Miss Nadia likes?” He said looking right at Nadia, grinning, not the same smile he just used with his daughter. Nadia shifted in her chair, she leaned her head forward, using her crossed hands to cover her mouth, a small moan escaped her lips as her nostrils flared. This man was dangerous. She was enjoying every minute of it.
“I do enjoy chocolate. Very much so. Ah…anyway, there’s a form in Camilla’s backpack to update her emergency contact. It would be best if it’s completed and turned back in.” The school nurse was able to get her sentence out by taking a few breaths in between.
Mr. Morales set his daughter down and asked for the form, she took it out of her backpack and give it to him. The father locked eyes with Nadia, walked over to her desk and didn’t break eye contact his deep chestnut eye and her amber ones. “I’m Francisco Morales, I go by Frankie though Miss Nadia. I’ll complete your form right now.” He briefly looked away to fill out the form, she watched his hands, broad, his muscles taut with the movements. Frankie took a stickie note off her desk and wrote his cell phone again. Nadia was about to speak but Frankie cut her off, making eye contact with her again. She couldn’t speak was more accurate.
“In case you want to tell me what else you like Miss Nadia, at a better time and place of course.” Frankie flashed that smile again and stood up, still making eye contact with her. He placed his hands on his hips as Nadia took the sticky note and stuck it in her jacket pocket.
“Daddy! When are we gonna go?!” Camilla was getting impatient, it looked like he was done filling out whatever paper, movie and ice cream time.
“At a better time and place it is Frankie.” Nadia smiled. “Camilla’s waiting for you.” She sat back in her chair, stretching out her legs and taking another deep breath.
“Good. We’ll see about that breath control of yours Miss Nadia.” Frankie teased. Nadia’s eyes widened and put a hand on her chest. She felt attacked and aroused. This damn man, flirting with me in front of his daughter and doing a helluva job at it. It’s a wonder he doesn’t have more kids running around.
He turned and scooped up his adorable daughter again. “Vamos a Barbie!” He yelled while matching his daughter’s pumped up fist and walked out.
Nadia was already in over her head and she had only met the man once. Francisco Morales, a man that would change her life in ways that she didn’t expect.

reading the latest news on Palestine in between my friend almost dying and dropping everything to visit her in hospital. when I was rolling back the wheelchair I had pushed her around in for her first fresh air in four days to its station an older Nigerian lady who was dizzy from sedation thought I worked at the hospital and wanted to sit so I wheeled her with her daughter and the granddaughter in a buggy all the way to the entrance as they were going home, they were sweet and said thank you and laughed when they realised I didnt work there. people keep mistaking me for a hospital worker. I dont mind. I finally submitted my application for a creative writing programme for emerging writers, I touched up the short story draft I wrote on a haunted house based on my childhood home, my friend is hopefully coming home from hospital tomorrow and I am going to do her laundry and get her food she's allowed to eat, I met up with my sister in the middle of the forest where we could speak about everything that had happened to us, she told me after she attempted suicide at 14 our mum was so angry at her when she was in the hospital bed she started pinching my sisters arm - staring at her as she did it - under the blanket so no one else saw, I left a glowing review for the Loungers I went and wrote in this evening telling them how lovely the staff were because one of them helped me find a plug socket and the other made me smile when he gave me my drink and food, I sent an email asking for reading recommendations on psychogeography and haunting as trauma for a girl who went to my school who is a writer who I always admired because she writes about that stuff too, I read about how almost all of the Palestinian Christians have been massacred by Israel in one bombing and I cried and I told my friends who feel the same how unbearable the pain is, how I would do and will do anything for these people, thinking about how my mum raised me that way because she moved to Jerusalem at 18 and how this morning I never wanted to speak to her again and in the evening I was telling her about how brave my best friend has been and how I know I can talk to her about Palestine and how much she grieves for them and how she misses Jerusalem and I spoke to my boyfriend on the phone, he had the best gig of his life in Glasgow and I said we are both having adventures, and we love each other so much, I told him about my best friend and my sister and he's going to read my short story

In the Belly of the Giant (25/39)
***Contains vore!***
Chapter 25
Mr. Henderson felt much better after eating his cereal. His new human friend, Millie, was still hungry, so he portioned her out some more milk so she could have another bowl of cereal. While she ate, he politely excused himself so he could take care of some business. He hadn’t checked in with the school at all, and since he was feeling better he figured he’d call the vice principal just to make sure he was getting along without his help and all the affairs of the school were in order. He had taken an extended leave of absence, ostensibly due to the stress of losing his daughter, but also because privately he had been terrified he would lose control of himself and eat one of the human students. Now, he felt more confident that this latter concern was an irrational fear.
When he checked his phone, he was surprised to see a long string of text messages he had missed from the prior evening. In his fractured state of mind, he had completely forgotten about the date he had scheduled for Saturday. He didn’t even know what day it was today. Friday? Apparently, the giantess had become frustrated with his total lack of contact. She had texted him to confirm their date was still on, and when he unintentionally ghosted her she became irate, and sent him a barrage of messages scolding him and cursing him out. Mr. Henderson sighed. He felt guilty, but at the same time he was too old for this sort of drama. He sent the giantess back a simple, respectful message, notifying her some difficult personal issues had come up in his life, and that he had to cancel the date and wasn’t interested in dating anymore. He wished her luck in love and apologized. She blocked him.
Once he checked in with the school, and was assured that things were running smoothly without him, he dressed for the day and returned to Millie in the kitchen. She had finished her breakfast and remained on the counter, not sure how to get down. When she spotted Mr. Henderson, she gave him a warm, genuine smile, blossoming like a flower in response to the sun. The giant felt his heart flutter. She was such a sweet, kind person, and lovely too, inside and out. When he saw she was happy, it made him happy too. He offered her his hand and she gladly climbed into his palm. He gently lifted her up and conveyed her to the living room. He sat on the gigantic couch and held the miniature woman in his lap.
“Millie, is there anything you need me to get for you to make your life here more comfortable?” he asked.
Millie gazed up at the giant, into his brown coffee eyes that reminded her so much of her late husband’s. She couldn’t lie: She was smitten with him, deeply attracted to his magnanimous nature and his gentleness. She had never met a giant like him before and he fascinated her. All the other giants she knew had been horrendously evil and cruel. “I have everything I need here,” she replied.
Mr. Henderson opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by his phone ringing. He saw it was Joey and hastily answered. “Any news?” he questioned tensely. Millie noticed the immediate change in his demeanor and wondered what was so important.
“I don’t want to get your hopes up, but Ray and I came up with a plan that might help us find Eren. You know that human doctor at the hospital? We’re going to use him as bait to see if we can lure out the kidnappers and track them back to their base. Hopefully, we can find Eren, and maybe even the missing students from the boarding school,” Joey expounded. “I’ll let you know what happens.”
“That’s good, Joey. Keep me posted.” He hung up and sighed.
“What was that about?” Millie inquired, her curiosity getting the better of her.
“Oh...” Mr. Henderson didn’t want to burden Millie with his troubles, but he saw no reason not to tell her. “My daughter Eren... she’s gone missing. We’re worried that she’s been kidnapped. Her boyfriend Joey works at the police department, so he’s keeping me up to date on the latest news regarding the investigation.” He frowned sadly.
Millie shuddered. Eren’s fate struck a nerve with her. “How horrible!”
Mr. Henderson gave her a weak smile. “I believe in Joey. He’ll find her. You met Joey at the hospital. He’s the police officer that made you pass out. I think he felt bad for scaring you; he wasn’t trying to.”
Millie was surprised. “Her boyfriend... is a giant? Do... giants date humans?”
Mr. Henderson laughed gently. “It’s certainly not very common, but it happens. I don’t know if you’re aware, but the human doctor you met was married to that giantess nurse too. Those kinds of interspecies relationships can be just as fulfilling as regular, same-size relationships.”
“I see,” Millie said quietly. She stared at Mr. Henderson inquisitively, as if wanting to ask him something, with her striking blue eyes. He was mesmerized by those eyes. He wondered what she was thinking, but so much about her was a mystery. “Have you ever dated a human?” she asked suddenly.
Mr. Henderson raised his eyebrows with surprise. “No. But I have nothing against the idea. There’s just not very many adult human females around, on the giant side of town.” He sighed. “I was married once, to a giantess. She divorced me because I’m infertile, and I couldn’t give her a child. I’ve been single since, but I ended up adopting Eren. She’s been a light in my life. Now... that light is gone...” His expression convulsed with strong emotion. Millie hugged his thumb, stroking the digit tenderly. After a long period of silence, Mr. Henderson composed himself again.
Millie looked down at her hands. “My husband... was murdered in front of me.” She sniffled. Now it was Mr. Henderson’s turn to comfort her. He grasped her protectively in his massive hands, caressing her back with his thumb. Millie wanted to talk about all that she had gone through, since she had been alone for so long with her own thoughts, with nobody to share her feelings with, but she found it difficult to speak. Nevertheless, she overcame her mental block and pressed on. “We lived in poverty on the human side together. We had a lot of debt, and my husband borrowed money from the wrong people. When we weren’t able to pay it back... they invaded our home and shot him. They captured me, threatened to kill me if I ever came back, and sold me to giants.”
She curled up in the giant’s hand, holding her knees and quaking at the memory. “I had never seen giants before. I was terrified, and I had good reason to be. They did... horrible, unspeakable things to me. At the time, I was pregnant with my husband’s child, and I miscarried due to the abuse and the stress. It... felt like losing the last part of him that I had left.” She wiped away tears with her arm. Mr. Henderson held her closer to his torso in a hug. She cuddled up against his shirt, soaking in his caring warmth. “I don’t know how long I was held prisoner, but it felt like a lifetime. One day, I got extremely lucky and managed to escape. I survived alone on the streets for a long time. I stayed hidden, since I feared giants and didn’t trust them. I had nowhere to go, nobody to help me, and no goals except to stay alive.”
She went quiet, before continuing, “To be honest, I don’t think I would have lasted much longer, if you hadn’t showed up. I was starting to give up any hope of living a normal, fulfilling life. I... considered letting go, and ending it all…”
Mr. Henderson wrapped his fingers around her tighter. “I’m glad I found you,” he said tenderly. “In some ways, you saved me as much as I saved you.” The sweet moment was interrupted by the audible growling of the giant’s stomach. Even though Millie trusted Mr. Henderson not to devour her, she still quivered with instinctive fright, almost like a Pavlovian response. She certainly didn’t associate the noises of a giant’s stomach with anything good after being forced inside one multiple times in the past.
Her reaction made Mr. Henderson exceedingly uncomfortable. He didn’t want her to be afraid of him. “I should probably make us lunch,” he remarked, standing up in a smooth motion so as not to upset his human passenger. “It’s about that time, after all.” Millie bobbed her head with approval, making a concerted effort to calm herself. She reminded herself that she was safe. Mr. Henderson was a gentle giant; he couldn’t possibly eat her. She trusted him.
She knew it would take some effort to get used to not being scared all the time. When she lived on the streets, she had to constantly be aware of potential threats. As a result, her nature had been warped, to make her quiet and skittish. Despite her experiences, she had made remarkable progress. She could talk now, despite not having spoken a word to anyone for a long time. And here she was, riding around in the hand of a hungry giant, in his giant dwelling, without fainting from terror. She could do this.
Mr. Henderson didn’t feel like he could stomach any meat yet, so he decided to make some grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. Such an entrée would be easy to portion out to human size too; he had often made the same meal for Eren, as her father. He set Millie on the countertop, as he had done that morning, and took a can of soup out of the pantry. He heated the soup in a pot on the stove, trying not to imagine the red liquid as a big vat of blood. Turning away from the pot, he grabbed slices of bread and cheese and toasted the sandwiches. While he cooked, he glanced over at Millie and his mouth started to water. She looked appetizing, like the perfect little snack to dip in his soup. He licked the moisture off his lips and distracted himself by stirring the pot.
Millie, unaware of the depth of Mr. Henderson’s struggle with temptation, admired him as he cooked. She couldn’t deny she fancied him. He was very handsome too. She wondered what he would say if she admitted her feelings to him. They hadn’t known each other for long, but his uncanny resemblance to her husband, just blown up on a much larger scale, tipped her heart in his favor. She missed being loved, and the giant was so caring to her. All his attention alleviated the terrible emptiness and loneliness in her heart.
Mr. Henderson finished cooking the meal and served up a microscopic human portion for his guest, by tearing off a teeny chunk of one of the sandwiches and using his smallest measuring spoon to dump some soup in her tiny bowl. Just as he served himself up with his own giant bowl of soup, his phone rang again. He excused himself and answered the phone in the other room, so he wouldn’t bother Millie while she was eating. Since her body was still starving, she polished off her meal in record time, and was left hungry for more.
She wanted to get herself another serving of tomato soup, but she couldn’t reach the top of the pot. She looked at the giant’s soup bowl. His spoon was propped up on the side, like a bridge. She walked up the spoon to the edge of the bowl and leaned forward to dip her own human bowl in the lake of soup before her. As she strained her arm to reach, she slipped and lost her balance, tumbling forward into the liquid with a splash. On her way down, she grabbed at the giant’s spoon, but instead of arresting her fall the spoon flipped forward and smacked her in the head, knocking her out cold. She floated unconscious in the soup.
“Sorry about that interruption, Millie,” Mr. Henderson apologized, stepping into the room. His stomach was rumbling fiercely. The cereal he ate earlier hadn’t been enough to sate his gargantuan frame. He was feeling confident he wouldn’t throw up this time, and he had a voracious appetite, so he decided to eat what he could before his mind rebelled against him. He set aside his spoon and picked up the entire bowl, bringing it up to his lips. He started chugging the soup, enjoying the feeling of the warm, nourishing liquid running down his throat to his eager belly.
Millie woke up to loud slurping sounds. She was surrounded by heat. Confused, she felt herself sliding back. She opened her eyes to behold a sea of red sweeping her away. She flipped around and was horrified to see a giant pair of lips, suctioning down the soup. Before she could make a sound, the tide pulled her in and she was sucked through the lips into the giant’s mouth. She found herself inside a cage of enormous teeth and pink flesh. She was rapidly drawn toward the gullet, where she could see the throat muscles contracting, loudly gulping down gallons upon gallons of soup. In a panic, she paddled away and clung to the edge of the giant’s slippery tongue to save herself from being swallowed.
“Mr. Henderson, stop eating! I’m inside your mouth!” she screeched in terror, hoping desperately that he could hear her.
As he drank down his soup, Mr. Henderson felt an odd, solid lump enter his mouth. The lump stirred and stuck to his tongue, and he suddenly realized with horror that the thing was alive. Oh God, it was Millie. He could hear her scream. He stopped gulping his soup and lowered the bowl right away. As her little body pressed against his tongue, he could taste her. She was even more delicious than he had imagined. Swallowing her alive would be so satisfying. Despite himself, he began to salivate profusely. He was sorely tempted. She was already inside him, halfway there. One little gulp, and she’d be in his belly.
Mr. Henderson recoiled at these thoughts, but he could barely stop himself. He vacillated, unable to swallow but unable to spit her out. She wriggled on his tongue, exciting his hungry urges. The predator within him was ready to strike, like a coiled snake. His digestive tract whined for food. He was losing the battle against the intense cravings of his flesh. It would be so easy, just to swallow.
Yet, Millie was alive. She was a person, a tasty person small enough to fit down his throat, yes, but still a person. She had her own thoughts and hopes and dreams. She had come so far, suffered through terrible tribulations, only to find herself in the mouth of a giant—a giant she believed in and trusted not to harm her. She had said so herself, he wasn’t capable of eating a human. He was too kind.
Mr. Henderson insisted to himself, firmly, that he wasn’t a monster. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he ate her. Overcoming his powerful impulses, he opened his mouth and dropped her wet body into his hand. She shivered. He found himself breathing heavily, covering her with his warm breath, strings of drool running down his lips.
“W-why were you in my soup bowl?” he asked with forceful agitation. His heart was racing. His fear at the immoral act he had very nearly committed made his tone sharper than he intended.
Millie heard the edge in his voice and flinched. Nothing terrified her more than an angry giant. “I’m s-so sorry!” she stammered, and started to wail. “Please don’t be mad at me! It was an accident!”
“Oh no, that’s not…” Mr. Henderson’s face fell. “I’m the one who should be apologizing! I nearly swallowed you! I’m so, so sorry Millie!” He rushed over to the sink and ran some warm water so he could wash the soup and saliva off her body. He rinsed her off, but recognized it would probably be easier for her to just use the human bathroom instead, and then she could change into fresh clothes. He carried her over to the human suite and set her down gently.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry!” he repeated again.
“It’s okay, Mr. Henderson. I know it was an accident,” she replied shakily. “And I knew you wouldn’t eat me on purpose.” Her voice cracked, but she still smiled at him, then walked into the human rooms to clean herself up.
Mr. Henderson looked after her with guilt. She was correct, in that ultimately he wasn’t able to carry through with the deed. However, she had no clue how close he had truly been to eating her. He hoped she would never find out either. He was just grateful he had been able to contain his ravenous compulsions in time. He went back to the kitchen and scarfed down his grilled cheese sandwiches. He never wanted to reach the point where he was that hungry again.

“His name’s Tom Olson and he’s a baseball player for this minor league team,” Jo said as she started to tell Alex about what happened.
“We met when he came in with his friend's wife. She was in labor and Carina and I were her OBs. Her husband wasn't there yet, and he was delayed, so Tom stayed with her. He was so supportive and sweet and he was better than most of the labor partners I've seen in the past. He stayed until her husband got there and then he waited in the waiting room until the baby was born. When I brought him back to meet the baby, we started talking. When he came back out, he gave me his number. He was so sweet, so I decided to call him. We've been going out for a few months now. I knew that he had a bit of a temper on the baseball field. I've been to one of his games and seen clips online, but he said it was just an act and I believed him. I thought I knew him. I knew it was a red flag, but I just, I don't know, he was so kind to me. But I should have seen it for what it was. God, I was so stupid.”
“No, you are not stupid, Jo. You believed that you found a good man. It's not your fault. What he did to you isn't your fault. You hear me, you are not stupid, Jo,” Alex said, squeezing her shoulders and trying to get her to believe what he said and as she looked into his eyes, she believed him.
She nodded, putting a hand over her mouth as she closed her eyes, letting the few tears left in her eyes fall. He reached out and put a hand on her arm, gently rubbing up and down. She couldn't help but lean into him. It was so easy to take the comfort he gave her and she was weak to resist. He put his hand on her knee. She let out a breath as she looked down at his hand before she continued.
“We hit it off and he took me out nearly every weekend. By the end of the month, he wanted to meet Luna. He knew how important she was to me and how she was such a big part of my life, and I agreed. So this morning I met him at the park. Luna's never been shy, but for some reason, she didn’t like him. I guess her judgment is better than mine,” Jo said with a smile that quickly fell as she shook her head. “So I put her on the swing, and I was pushing her, and she kept trying to kick my hand. But we were just playing and she was laughing. She ended up kicking my hand and I asked her to stop, but she just laughed and kept kicking. I wasn't even hurt or anything but, he made this joke. He said, ‘you better listen to your mom, or she'll return you to the hospital.’ and Luna got all wide-eyed and quiet. Then she started to cry. We still have to go to the hospital for tests, and appointments, and stuff, and she hates it. I know she was frightened that I would leave her there, which of course I never would.”
Jo looked up into his eyes as if she was trying to make him believe it too, and of course, he did. He knew Jo, and he knew that she would never willingly leave her daughter behind. She would never want Luna to think that she was going to leave her or that she was unloved or unwanted.
“I scooped Luna up out of the swing and just glared at him. I held Luna close, and I reassured her that I would never leave her at the hospital. That I would never leave her at all. I told her that she was stuck with me forever and I had the paperwork to prove it. Once she calmed down, I gave her an extra hug and kiss. Then put her back in the swing. I gave her a couple of pushes before I looked back at him.”
Jo got the same angry look that he imagined she gave to Tom and Alex had to keep from leaning back away from her. He had never seen Jo like this, like a mama bear ready to fight for her cub, and he'd be lying if he said he didn't love this version of her.
“And I just ripped into him. I mean, I did it in hushed voices as I didn't want Luna to get upset or anything, but I just laid into him. I told him how inappropriate that joke was. Especially given that Luna's adopted and because that happened to me, you know. I had dozens of foster parents and adopted parents who threatened to send me back and then actually did. But he just played it off like it was a joke. I told him that it wasn't funny. Then I said he should leave and that I didn't think that this was going to work out. I guess I finally realized that he wasn't what he seemed. I just realized it too late. I turned back to Luna and that’s when he grabbed my wrist. He kept insisting that it was all a joke and he wouldn't let go. He just squeezed my wrist harder and harder, and I told him it was hurting, but he didn't listen. He just kept saying that it was a joke and that he was a nice guy. That I should give him a second chance and not take things so seriously, but I just screamed at him to let me go, and then Luna started crying again. I didn't want my daughter to see that. I never wanted her to be frightened of anyone I was dating. I tried to get away as quickly as I could. I tried to pull out of his grasp. I even twisted my wrist to try and break free, but he wouldn't let go. I ended up just trying to hit his arm to make him let go and that's when he hit me. It all happened so fast.”
Jo closed her eyes as she couldn’t bear to look at Alex right now. She could see and feel it all so vividly and her mind. The feel of his hand wrapped around her wrist, the cold grass as she fell back, the smell of the rain and his expensive cologne, and the way Luna's screams rang in her ears. In that moment, she had a flashback of when Paul had slapped her across the face, and now she had flashbacks of Tom doing the same thing. A few tears escaped, and she looked down to see them fall into the mug of hot chocolate that was growing cold in her hands.
The only thing that brought her back was Alex. He put his hand on her knee and rubbed gentle circles like he used to. Leaning into him, he wrapped one arm around her. Being in his arms again made her feel so safe and secure and loved. He was giving her that love she had wanted since he left and he gave it to her freely now. She knew that she should be mad, that she should rage and scream and cry at him. However, right now, all she wanted was for him to hold her. Alex had loved and protected her better than anyone. That was why she came here in the first place. Jo looked up into Alex's eyes again as he just watched her, waiting for her to continue. He never pushed her to tell him things and for that, she was grateful.
“The second he hit me, he let go, and I fell back. I scrambled up and I got Luna. I just scooped her up and ran. Of course, he chased after me, and he kept apologizing and saying that he didn't mean it. That he was sorry, but I'd heard it all before from Paul. I swore I would never let that happen again and never in front of my daughter. So I just ran. I got to the car and just climbed into the front seat and locked the doors. Then I turned around to put Luna in the car seat. The entire time he was there, yelling and apologizing, and banging on the windows, but I just ignored him and drove away. I was so scared that he was going to chase me and I don't know. I just thought about Paul and how he'd kill me. So when I got back to the penthouse, I just grabbed everything that we would need, and I left. I didn't know where to go, I was just on autopilot when I drove to the airport, and before I knew it… We were on a plane here.”
Jo paused for a second as she looked around the farmhouse again. It was so perfect. It was straight out of a magazine. This perfect little farmhouse, in this quiet little town with kids’ toys scattered around and baked goods on the kitchen counter. The house smelled like cookies, the floral candles that she saw on the mantel, and like everything a home should smell like. But, she didn't come here for the perfect home, she came here for Alex.
Now she looked back at him, she knew she made the right decision in coming here. Because as he sat next to her, holding her close, he was protecting her like she knew that he would. When she bought the plane ticket, all she could think about was how much she wanted Alex. And how much she wanted him to protect her like he had protected her from Jason and Paul. How he would have never made that joke because he knew what it was like to be bumped around foster homes, never wanted, and always returned. She thought about how much he would love Luna and how he would reassure her that they would always want her and love her.
“I just missed you,” Jo said, looking at him as he suddenly looked up at her, as his lips parted. “I miss how much you loved me. I've been chasing that love since you left. I fell in love with Luna, and I love her, I do, but she's not my partner or my husband. I wanted that again, that's why I started dating. I realize now that the only thing I ever wanted was you. I just wanted you back.”
Jo knew that it was wrong to say. Alex lived in this perfect house with Izzie and her perfect muffins and their perfect kids. He had a perfect life and a perfect family, and she was just coming in to ruin it all, but she didn't care. She didn't come here because she needed Alex. Sure she needed a safe place where she could hide out with her daughter, but she wanted him. She wanted him to love her and protect her and be there for her again.
Alex just stared at her, his lips slightly parted and his eyes wide. He didn't say anything and she didn't expect him to. She wasn't sure if she wanted to face him, so she looked away. She caught sight of a photo sitting on the end table. It was of Izzie, him, and the twins. She picked it up and looked at it.
“Izzie takes these photos every fall to make sure she has a family photo and one for the Christmas card. The twins insisted that I be it too, but it felt weird to be a part of someone else's family photo. I mean, Alexis and Eli are my family, and I love them. I'm their dad, but it still feels weird to be a family with Izzie, and not you.” The last three words were said in almost a whisper that she didn’t quite catch, but she didn’t look at him, she just stared at the photo.
It did look a little awkward. The twins were in between the two of them smiling, and Alex and Izzie were on opposite sides of them, standing as far away as possible. Izzie had a wide and happy smile, but Alex had that forced smile that he always had whenever she made him take a photo.
“I remember how you used to tell me how to smile whenever you wanted a picture of me. Back then, it was so easy to smile for you,” Alex gave her that easy and genuinely happy smile now and it still gave her butterflies.
“Yeah, you do look pretty stiff,” Jo said with a little laugh.
“I look pretty miserable, but in truth, I was,” Alex said a little awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Are you glad to hear that?”
“No, I'm not,” Jo said, looking back at him as she quickly put the photo frame back on the table. “A year ago, I would have been, but all my anger has faded away, and I loved you enough to hope that you were happy.”
“Are you happy, with your new job and with Luna?” Alex asked, his face so desperate to know that she was happy, that he hadn't ruined her life like he had ruined his own.
“Yeah, I'm happy,” Jo said, giving him a smile despite how it was the truth, she knew that her smile didn't quite reach her eyes. “I did a Christmas photo with Luna last year. I was able to come in on my day off, and I put her in this frilly little red Christmas dress that she absolutely hated, so I had to switch it out for a little plaid shirt that said baby’s first Christmas. It just makes me think that now we both have Christmas photos with our children, our families, but not with each other.”
Jo hadn't taken her eyes off of him and Alex looked back up, catching her gaze. His eyes pulled her in like they always did, and his sad look faded away to one of longing, the kind of longing he always had for her. Jo forgot about the pull he had on her when they were together, but now that they were together again, that pull was back. As she looked at him, she wondered how she was ever able to resist him.
Alex looked up at her again, staring into her eyes with that look. She knew that look of love oh so well. It was the same look of love and longing that he used to give her when they were fighting and he wanted to go back to her. It made her heart sore and beat a little faster in her chest. It gave her more hope than she knew she should have. He leaned in, tilting his head just a little bit as her eyes glanced down to his lip.
She knew it was a bad idea, and she knew that she shouldn't, but she couldn't help but lean into him and tilt her head. She could feel his warm breath on her cheek as she reached up and put a hand on his chest, feeling his heart against her palm as he reached up and held her hand there. They were so close that they could touch and she could feel his hot breath on her lips.
Suddenly his phone buzzed and it seemed to break the spell that was around them. Alex moved his hand from her knee as he glanced at the text. “Izzie’s on her way home with the kids.”
“I should go,” Jo said standing up, he may have been comfortable with cheating, but Jo certainly wasn't, especially if the other woman was coming back with two children, who were innocent in everything.
“Wait Jo,” Alex said, standing up as she turned back to look at him. “We're not together.”
“What?” Jo asked, taking in his desperate expression.
“I lied in the letter. We were never together. I've been staying in the spare bedroom upstairs rather than at my own place so I can spend time with the kids. Especially with covid and everything last year,” Alex said with a bit of a sheepish look as he glanced down at his hands.
Jo nodded as she slowly absorbed the news. When she read the letter, a part of her knew that he was lying, that the Alex Karev that she knew would have never betrayed her like that. She knew he would have never fallen out of love with her so quickly, but hearing him actually say it was a little bit of a relief.
“I should still go,” Jo said, although she made no attempt to leave.
“Stay. please.” Alex asked, holding his hand out to her. “Look, Luna is already asleep in the guest bedroom and it's too late to find a hotel. If you really want to go in the morning, I’ll help you get a hotel or I'll drive you back to the airport so you can go home. But it's been a long day and you should rest.”
Jo nodded as he looked at his hand and she knew he was right. She was absolutely exhausted. She felt like she could just lay down, close her eyes, and be asleep in five minutes. Besides, if she got Luna up now, it'd be almost impossible to get her back down, then they would both be miserable throughout the night. Plus, the knowledge that he and Izzie weren't together was enough to make her stay.
Alex smiled and nodded and put his hand on her back as they walked down the hall to the guest bedroom. Jo checked on Luna while Alex stood there in the doorway, reluctant to enter but still watching over her. Luna was thankfully still sleeping peacefully. Her girl could sleep anywhere, and Jo was so thankful for that because as much as she tried to keep the turbulence out of her life, it seemed to follow them wherever they went. Jo tucked the blanket around Luna and ran her fingers through her tufts of blond hair, pulling on the hat that had slipped off her head.
She blew her a kiss before she looked around the room. It was a simple guest room with white fluffy throw pillows, and Jo was a little afraid to break the perfect room. Thankfully, Alex decided to come in, and he started grabbing the throw pillows to toss onto the chair, and Jo related as she pulled back the covers. Next, Alex went into a little closet and grabbed two towels and a washcloth, putting them on the end of the bed.
“The bathrooms just through that door there, so you can take a shower now or later, and there's a guest toothbrush and shampoo and stuff if you need it,” Alex says as he finished getting things ready for her, before just sticking his hands in his jeans pocket and giving a little shrug.
Jo smiled as she looked down, a little nervous too. “Thanks, a shower sounds really nice.”
“Yeah, I figured,” Alex said with a smile, he knew her routine and how she liked a shower at the end of a long day. “If you or Luna get hungry, there's food in the kitchen, and if you need anything else, just let me know.”
“Thanks, she usually doesn't get up in the middle of the night, but she's an early bird so,” Jo said with a shrug, she wasn’t sure if she’d feel comfortable tiptoeing around someone else's kitchen in the early morning, so she prayed that Luna would sleep in, especially given their late night.
“Well, we're all early birds around here too, but I'll tell the twins to keep quiet, so they don't wake you guys up,” Alex said with a little chuckle as he talked about his kids before he shrugged. “Um, I guess just sleep well, and let me know if you need anything else.”
They could both feel like a little twinge of love that was still between them, but she could tell that he was holding back, unwilling to act on it. She would be lying if she said she wasn't a little relieved. As much as she wanted him to, considering the state she was in, she was happy that they didn't take things further. Her emotions were running high and she knew that in the morning, things would change. Izzie and the twins would be home and she and Luna would have to go back to Seattle. They'd go back to their separate lives because he left her, and that wouldn't change with one night of comfort, as much as she wanted it to.
“Thank you for everything. For taking in me and my daughter when you didn't have to,” Jo said, looking at him as she held the towel to her chest.
“What, you think I was gonna tell you to get off my porch and go find a hotel?” Alex said, joking just a little bit as his lips curled up into that Karev smile, but she looked away because that's exactly what she thought he might do. “Oh Jo, despite everything between us, I'd never turn you away. In fact, of all the places you could go, I'm glad you came here.”
“Me too,” Jo said, with a smile as she looked down, hoping he didn't see the way her cheeks turned pink. “Thank you again for always being there for me.”
“Of course,” Alex said, with a shrug as if it was nothing.
Alex slipped out of the room but not before giving her one last gentle smile. As he closed the door behind him, Jo let out a sigh, still feeling his kind and calm presents surrounding her. As she looked around the room, she felt like a stranger in the home. Still. She grabbed a change of clothing and started up the shower. She checked on Luna again before leaving the door open just a little bit so she could hear her if she cried. As she stepped into the warm water, she closed her eyes and saw Alex's smile in her mind. She could still feel his hand on her knee gently comforting her and the way his arms held her shoulders as she cried. She felt completely surrounded by him and not even the water could wash that away.

NAME: Isabella Ramos GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cis woman / She/Her AGE & DATE OF BIRTH: 28 years old / September 29th HOMETOWN: Beverly Hills, CA TIME IN WESTERLY: 1 month RESIDENCE: Watch Hill OCCUPATION: Ex-socialite, owner of Brewed Awakening
THAT’S THE THING ABOUT      ——     illicit affairs.
isabella, the only daughter of the ramos family, had always been painted as destined for greatness. born into a wealthy family in beverly hills, she’d never wanted for anything. she, alongside her brothers, had been sent to the best schools in the area, taken music lessons, private tennis lessons, anything they could have ever dreamed of. the idea that there might be something that they couldn’t have, that was out of reach, was entirely foreign to her.
those tendencies didn’t change as she made her way through high school. by simply just being a ramos, she was able to get away with almost anything. it wasn’t something that was lost on her either - she knew just how much she could get away with, how far she could push the boundaries without breaking them, all because her name carried some weight. her father was a big name in the community, a mogul to say the least, and people daren’t get on his bad side - even through his daughter. she felt well and truly untouchable.
isabella didn’t stray far when she went to college - attending ucla meant that the weight that her family name carried in california travelled with her. she was able to become a little bit more independent, while still shrouded in the protection that she’d been used to for her whole life. things were, at least to her, about as perfect as her life could be.
it was while at college that she met the woman who would go on to be her best friend: tiffany. tiffany was kind, sweet, and the kind of down to earth person who kept isabella from entirely relying on the life that had been afforded to her. tiffany became her roommate, and taught her how to cook, how to bake, how to take care of herself in a way that isabella had never had to - purely because she’d always had other people to do it for her. and isabella surprised everyone (and herself) by actually enjoying it.
by the time they graduated, tiffany came complete with the all american boyfriend in tow - calvin. isabella liked calvin, she liked the two of them together, having grown quite protective of tiffany over the years. she was, for all intents and purposes, the equivalent of the metaphorical third wheel for the two of them - none of isabella’s own relationships lasted long enough for them to become fully ingrained into their little group. isabella’s family connections helped tiffany and calvin with their careers of choice: it was the all american dream at work. isabella herself fell straight back into the socialite scene, and all seemed right with the world. isabella could pick and choose to do what she wanted, and the ramos family would be there to make sure she thrived. there was no wrong to be done, in their eyes, when it came to their isabella, for she was the golden girl.
until the face of the head of the ramos family wound up all over the local news. isabella’s father had been caught in a car accident, leaving him unconscious in a hospital nearby. naturally, it rocked the whole family, and they all reached out for those who could support them. it was no surprise that isabella called tiffany and calvin – but tiffany was out of the state on business. that didn’t matter, they were a trio, and there was no reason why calvin couldn’t come and be at her side while they waited for news.
it’s born from just one single glance.
isabella couldn’t tell you how it happened, not the first time at least. calvin had been wiping away tears, perhaps wine had been involved, fueled by the pain of not knowing what might happen with her family. regardless of the circumstances around it, isabella had woken up with calvin in her bed. it was a mistake, that’s what she told herself. a simple slip up, one never to be spoken of again. it never was just once though. she couldn’t even pin it on her father any more - he recovered, continued to support both isabella and her friends in whatever they needed, and isabella continued to feel selfish for going after the one thing she really couldn’t have.
a drug that only worked, the first few hundred times.
isabella wanted to feel guilty, with every clandestine meeting that happened between her and calvin. she could feel herself actually beginning to fall for the man she was having an affair with, the one who was with her best friend. the one who, before she knew it, was engaged. she tried to convince herself that she could live with that, she could stop the affair that by this time had been going on for months. but every time she tried, she found herself right back where she promised she’d never be again.
look at this godforsaken mess that you made me.
it had been no surprise that tiffany had asked isabella to be her maid of honor. and what else was she meant to do except say yes? she couldn’t say no, not without a reason, and she couldn’t tell her first real and genuine friend that she’d been sleeping with her fiance behind her back. wedding showers, bachelorette parties, were all thrown, with no expense spared. throwing money at a problem to try and make it go away, to try and shift the guilt, had always been something that the ramos family had been good at. tiffany was good enough of a friend to be able to see the guilt that was eating away inside of isabella, even if she didn’t know that the root cause was ultimately going to destroy her. perhaps that was why she never actually asked what was bothering her.
the night before the wedding, calvin came to find isabella. isabella tried to explain to calvin that tiffany was in the adjoining room of the hotel they were staying at, but the message didn’t get through before he was pushing himself into the room, certain that they were going to have this discussion. isabella tried to tell him to be quiet, but instead his voice only grew louder, incriminating the both of them. he spoke of not being able to continue the affair, something isabella herself wanted to agree with, but knew that her deepening feelings for calvin would likely stand in the way of it when it came to reality. what had been some sort of prepared speech from the man was interrupted as the adjoining door swung open, a sobbing tiffany stood on the other side. both isabella and calvin were frozen.
look at this idiotic fool that you made me.
unsurprisingly the wedding was off, and the secret that she had been keeping was finally out. she can’t be sure who (she’d like to think it wasn’t tiffany) but someone sold the story to the tabloid, and before she knew it was she was the new town harlot. stories ran filled with lies about the relationship, others ran that danced closer to the truth than she’d care to admit. but the ramos family golden girl was gone, and in her place was the biggest heart breaker beverly hills had seen in a long time (according to one publication, that was). her life was crumbling at the scenes, and her family could hardly look at her in the eyes.
and you know damn well, for you i would ruin myself.
being called for a meeting with her father had never worried her so much. she’d never felt more like a teenager in trouble than she had done at the age of 28. it was in that meeting, that they discussed a plan - that was the ramos way, after all. a way to get through this, because with the gossip magazines talking about the ramos family in any capacity was in no doubt going to impact his business, his pull in the community. and god forbid that ever happen. and so, isabella had to be removed from the situation, at least for the time being (her fathers words, not hers).
he cited the home that they owned in westerly, the one they’d gone to from time to time when they’d needed a break from the world that she was used to. isabella could go there, keep her head down and away from the gossip that was following her around. wait for it to die down, wait for something else to come along and cause as much of a scandal. it was hardly the sort of place she was used to, but she needed something. it wasn’t fair for tiffany to keep seeing their names on the news cycle. she owed her friend that much, at least.
perhaps it was the guilt inside of her that told her that she could open some sort of coffee shop. put to work the skills that she’d been taught by the woman that she’d ultimately gone on to betray. but it sounded like it might work, at least for a short while. yes, a change of scenery, a project, a business venture of her own instead of piggy backing on one of her fathers. she could always come back after someone else bailed her out if it all went wrong, couldn’t she?

March 2017
We traveled on foot and by buggy visiting everyone Viviana could think of. She even knocked on random doors to ask, “where does so-and-so live?” We called it quits around 11pm and a taxi drove us 25 minutes to Sancti Spíritus where we stayed at Yeline’s apartment for the night. She had air conditioning and running water. It was nice to wash myself with a cloth and soap under a stream of water, even though it was ice cold. To catch a bus to Havana, I was awakened at 5am by the best cafecito I’ve had to this day. La espuma was so sweet and frothy! The bus left at 7am and arrived in Havana at 2pm.
Uva’s one bedroom apartment didn’t have air conditioning, but it had running water (no water heater). After a couple hours of distributing gifts and goodies from my suitcases, Uva’s wife, Aleida, prepared delicious Cuban red beans and rice with a salad for dinner. When it turned dark, their grandson Alejandro, drove me to a park where I could connect to Wi-Fi and call home over WhatsApp. He explained that the park was the best place in Havana to get online and that he had to purchase an illegal card with a code that gave him minutes to connect to the Wi-Fi. The park was pitch black aside from scattered laptops and smartphones shining in the distance. It took us half-an-hour to connect and when we did, I couldn’t even hear my mom on the WhatsApp call; she was so broken up. But I made sure to tell my sister “Happy birthday!”
Alejandro was the only family member with a car (not much of a car, but it got us from A to B). He was also the only one who understood English. He and his wife were in their early thirties, and they had an adorable three-year-old daughter. But they often seemed tense, or unhappy, compared to the elders in the family. Alejandro seemed embarrassed to open the care packages I brought for him and his little family. I felt ashamed saying things like, “Try on these shoes, they’re your size!” or “Here’s some panties for the baby!” I recently found out that they live in Texas now. When I think about that, my heart flutters with joy for them.
After a cold shower, I kissed Uva and Aleida goodnight and thanked them for their hospitality. I was so exhausted from socializing that I went right to bed without considering the sleeping arrangements. Aleida told me to lay in the bed and go to sleep, so that’s what I did. Everyone else was still up and chatting. I assume that Yaya and Viviana left with Alejandro to stay at his house, because there was only one bed at Uva’s.
I woke up in the morning dazed and drenched in sweat. “Where am I?” I thought. That was the best rest I had in Cuba. I remember Aleida was still asleep next to me, so I quietly got up to use the toilet. As I passed the door to the kitchen, I saw something that made my heart sink to my stomach: Uva was lying on the tiled floor atop a red sleeping bag. I stepped closer and heard his heavy breathing. My throat closed and my eyes filled with tears.

That morning was filled by more visitations. And each time a new group of people showed up, more Cafecito was prepared. A trio of teenagers close to my age showed up at just the in the afternoon. It was just the right time, too, because I was completely drained by all the chisme and crashing from too many cafecitos. They were Amanda (Yeline’s daughter), with her boyfriend, and her best friend. And they were able to convince my grandaunt to let me out of the apartment to explore Havana with them. First, we took a bus to the Universidad de la Habana where they were all studying. They showed me inside a classroom that had wooden desks and a chalkboard, like what you see in old movies. Then we had savory Cuban pastries, fresh guarapo, and melty ice cream. I can home with an obsession for sugarcane juice. Why had I never had it before? Maybe because it doesn’t taste nearly as good in Miami. Trust me, I’ve done my research.
Interview
Fall 2023
Wawi: (Cuba 1979) Finally, we met somebody from the government who wanted our house. He told us if we wanted to go that we had to give him our house and leave everything behind. He said if we wanted to leave, we would have to go to a 3rd world country. We had to choose between Spain and costa Rica. We chose Spain. I told my mother and father that I would be back.
(About my grandfather) He was playing guitar when we were dating, during that time the Beatles were very popular, and he would play songs… doooos caminoooos! (Formula V) He was visiting me, and I was 15 years and I was a baby and cute. He was a man! Twenty one, big thighs, you know he was always on the bicycle, macho man, and I was fifteen with blond long hair, my eyes almost green, I was very skinny, my titties were so beautiful and my belly, my belly button was so pretty, and my body was shaped like a guitar, and he was so jealous of all the guys I had after me.
Tumblr media
He would come and visit with my grandmother who was Jehovah witness. I met him in the bus, we were going to temple, and he was sitting in the back of the bus, he was sitting there checking me out. I found out that he followed me to the temple. And he introduced himself there. He started to do bible study with my grandmother, Aleida to get to me. One day everyone from the temple went to visit a widow whose husband had just passed away. Then we walked down by the water, and like a shark he told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend and he gave me a kiss.
Then he told my grandmother he wanted me to be his girlfriend and she said OKAY, but she would always be there watching us with the bible. We dated for 4 months and then got married. Then 17 days after we married, I got pregnant. From his pito. You know, when I was dating him, sometimes I would escape school and meet him. He would ride his bike very far to meet me. And then we would go behind the tree in a wooded area and he would want to give me a kiss. He wanted to see my tiddies behind the tree while I was supposed to be at the dentist.
Sometimes when he was visiting me at my grandmother’s house, he would come with a big squash.
Me: Why?
Wawi: That was a present. He would give to my grandmother vegetables and bananas. Once in a while he would bring a calabaza, pumpkin. I was ashamed to get that. I mean, when you're dating someone, you don’t bring them a calabaza, but in Cuba you don't have a choice! You take the calabaza or you get nothing. Sometimes he would bring two pieces of yuca or un boniato, Cuban sweet potato.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wawi: (Spain 1979) We were in Spain for 6 months before we could leave.
We sent his sister in Miami $3,500 before we left Cuba, so she could hold it for us until we get there. She was sending $200 to a friend in Spain for us to have money when we got there.
Me: When you got to Spain, what did you do?
Wawi: I got a guy to make wood shoes for me and a nice dress. I didn't know it was going to be cold in Spain. When we got off the plane, the cold almost broke my lungs. We left Cuba October 9th, 1979, and landed the next day in Madrid around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. We arrived at the Refugee Red Cross. We had just our suitcases with clothes and some pictures hiding in the clothes and some shoes. We couldn't bring any jewelry or any things.
We had to go to the office and check in. I was 20.  Once we were checked in, the lady told us to go. I was shaking, we had no place to go. I told her I had the impression that when we arrived, we would be staying at an American refugee camp. And they told me there is no such thing and no place to stay. She told me I had to use the phone to call my family and have them send me money so we could rent a hotel or a hostel. I didn't know what a hostel was, she told me it’s a place where private people rent rooms. I didn't know anything. The lady told me to grab our bags and go. I felt like I was having a heart attack. I was crying and screaming that I didn't want to be there. He was telling me to calm down and that we would go find something. There was a guy there who told us he would take us to some places he knew. He was ready to leave to the US. He took us to a hostel he knew of everything was uphill in the cold weather, no jackets, no books, my toes were freezing, walking with suitcases. We were sweating and freezing. Sometimes the hostels were dirty and disgusting and sometimes they had a sign that they were full. The guy told us we had to tell the hostel that we are waiting for our family to send us money from the US. I’m waiting, I just got off the plane, my family is going to send me the money and then I'll pay you."
Then the lady said, this is the rule: "You're to stay here? there's no food included, no water included. If you want to wash, it's 50 pesetas for cold water 70 pesetas for hot water." And I had my period. I got my period the day I got there. And I thought, oh my god, what am I doing? No food, no coffee, nothing! We had nothing. Oh, and at the Red Cross, the lady explained to us if they find out we are working, we are not allowed to go to the US and if we get into a fight, they will take away our permit. We didn't know how long we were going to be in Spain. We wanted to leave Cuba; it didn't matter. We had to wait until we got permission to go to the US. The only thing the lady could give us was some left over two boiled egg and red beans. We had to eat it, we didn’t know when we would eat again. So, between the three of us we split it. When we went to sleep, there was no heat, we were very cold.
We woke up the next day at 3 in the afternoon. We had $200. In that time, they gave us 66 pesetas per dollar. We went to get a big coca cola and we all shared that to drink - we were dying to get something. Then he bought a whole chicken for us to share. I told him to be careful with our money because they will scam you with your change there. I didn't have any Kotex, so I just had to use paper and the lady there would measure the paper. She refused to let me clean my chucha with warm water - she reminded me I had to pay 70 pesetas. I had to wash my chucha with the cold water it was coming out as ice it was freezing! Eventually the lady started asking us to pay. So, we left without paying. We'd do the same thing over and over again at different hostels so we wouldn’t have to pay.
We met a friend there, Gladys, she was Cuban. And she was very nice to us, she felt sorry for us. Sometimes she would get us something like bread or a sandwich. Her family was good, they owned a store here in Miami and they would send money here to here. Usually, I would wanna get coffee. I would smell it! I pass all the stores and they made coffee, and I couldn't have a cup of coffee for days. This lady one day invited me to get coffee. And it was, oh my god, a relief, at least a cup of coffee.
And after a while, we knew a little bit more and we would walk. We went out to the flea market; it was blocks and blocks of flea market. And every time we passed a booth, we would steal something, like a chorizo, or two yogurts, or a banana. And finally, we found a place you could go an eat free for homeless people. They would make lunch and dinner, but you would need to take a train to get there. But we didn't have enough money to take the train. So, we would walk the five miles, in the cold, to get the lunch or dinner. And the food wasn't good, but it was better than nothing and it was free.
Tumblr media
One day we found out about a lady who ran a prostitution house. She needed a couple to manage the hookers. We needed a place to sleep, and that was it. The lady promised she would give us 30,000 pesetas a month and give us food every day and that there would be heat in the room. So, we started working there.
Me: What was it like?
W: A nightmare. She was horrible. She never brought us food. There wasn't any heat. We slept on a bed that was maybe 4 feet wide. The bed was caving in because it was like a fold out bed. Then the lady would bring one chicken and one bread and give it to us like a pet dog. We had to get up at any time in the middle of the night when the hookers would ring the bell and we'd let them up. Then we'd have to clean the room after - disgusting. The hookers were walking, working, and finding these old men, 70 or 80 years old. These hookers would come up 4 or 5 times in the night. I let them up, they pay me first, and then they go in the room to fuck.  I had to be honest with the lady and turn in the money. Eventually I found out she kept the money in her washer machine, and I would steal a little at a time. So, we charge the customer, and then they fuck quick, like 15 or 20 minutes. One day I looked in the keyhole. I was wondering "what are they doing in there…this girl comes so many times, her chucha doesn't get sore?"
Me: The same girl? Or don't you see a lot of girls?
Wawi: well like four or five different girls. It depends. The one blonde girl was more popular. She wasn't very pretty but she was quick and hustled the most. I looked through the keyhole and it was disgusting.
The old man with his wrinkly dick. He was creaking like old furniture. The dick was kind of hard, but it was like he was paralyzed, squeaking like a door. The balls were all hairy. Sometimes they don’t even take their clothes off. Just pull down the pants and go. When I saw that, I got disgusted, and I wanted to leave. I said, oh my god, we need to leave this place. 2 in the morning, 4 in the morning, all hours of the night they would come. One day the lady came up and told us she wanted us to leave in the middle of the night. I told her we couldn't leave in the middle of the night; we had the baby and she needed to pay us, but the lady said she didn't have any money. She made us leave without paying us. We were afraid, we had to leave, she threatened to call the police. So, we rolled up the foam mattress and he held the mattress over his shoulder and I packed the suitcase. And the baby was crying "Mami, where are we going?" and I said "you ¡cállate! we are going". We were there maybe 10 days. We were starving. She didn't bring food or anything and we were cold. Some nights, Damaisy would do pee in the bed, and we'd be wet and cold all night. That night, I was walking behind him, and I got nervous and started laughing uncontrollably and I couldn’t walk. He started yelling at me calling me stupid, telling me how we don't have anywhere to go. I was having a nervous breakdown. I was laughing watching him the mattress over his shoulder. I thought "this is the end of us. I don’t know where we are going to go now" We ended up at my friend’s apartment, but there was so many people there. Twenty-two Cubans in the same apartment room, but she let us stay there. There was only one bathroom for all of us. To cook, there was only three things: a pressure cooker, a frying pan, and one pot. To cook, you have to wait patiently for others to finish.
In order to find out if our visas were ready for us to leave Spain, we had to call the United States from a payphone. We invented a little copper cable that we could press the number and put the wire inside so we could place the call for free.
Finally, we went to the Red Cross to stay there-they had a space for us.  But there was a compromise, we had to cook for all the people. But we had a plan to steal food, so that we could stock up. We didn't know how long we were going to stay in Spain, we wanted to accumulate food in our room so when we had to move, we would have something. Chorizo, oil, beans, lentejas, rice, to prepare because I'm always like that. But we had to get up at 4 in the morning to prepare food for the rest of the people. Then, when we didn't want to do that anymore, we went back to Gladys' apartment until the US was ready to take us.
We arrived the United States on February 14th, Valentines Day, 1980.

You Should’ve Told Me (e.b.)
Tumblr media
Summary: you and Buck go separate ways but before you found out were pregnant.
AN: evan buckley is literally the most wholesome person ever and i love him
Buck was supposed to be your constant. That’s what the two of you had promised each other when you started dating. You were both at the age where dating casually wasn’t the goal anymore. It was to settle down snd start a family and a life together.
But real life got in the way. Your schedule never matched up with his, he somehow didn’t understand that you were a surgical resident at Hollywood General and that meant working long hours.
There was no time to spend together and it took a toll on the both of you. So he decided that it was better for you two to break up. You wanted to work it out and you offered to talk to your chief resident about switching up your schedule. But he didn’t want you to have to sacrifice your career for him.
So, you reluctantly agreed. Even though it was the opposite of what you wanted.
That was four months ago and you hadn’t seen him since. Soon after you and Buck broke up you found out you were a month pregnant. But you were holding such a grudge against him for breaking up with you, you hadn’t wanted to tell him.
There was no good time to tell your ex boyfriend you were having his baby. Especially when you were still actively working. And working at a hospital while five and a half months pregnant was not ideal.
But he had friends at the hospital. The entire 118 had friends at the hospital. Somehow the word got around that you were expecting and you received a call from Hen.
“Hello?” You answered. “You’re pregnant?” She questioned. “How did you-” You started. “Dr. Williams told me. Said Buck must be ecstatic to be a dad. But he doesn’t know does he?” Hen explained.
You were quiet for a moment, squeezing your eyes shut. “No. He doesn’t know. I guess a part of me is still angry that he left. I don’t want to talk to him but I know I need to.” You said. “Y/N, he deserves to know.” She said. “I know, Hen. I’m just trying to find a right time.” You told her.
“Look, I gotta get to a surgery on a premature baby. Pretty ironic.” You added with a dry laugh. “You call me if you need anything, okay? Surgery while five months pregnant is risky.” Hen said. You told her you would and then hung up the call.
Hen put her phone back in her pocket before she glanced over at Buck who was sitting next to Eddie. Buck needed to know the truth. She knew you’d be furious if she told Buck before you were ready.
But it was the right thing to do. For both of you, it could potentially fix things between you and him.
“Hey, Buck. I just heard some news from Dr. Williams over at Hollywood General.” Hen started. “What’s that? Is Y/N okay?” Buck asked. “Well, she was going to tell you when she was ready but you deserve to know.” Hen said. “What’s going on, Hen?” He questioned.
“Y/N’s, pregnant. Williams said she’s about five maybe six months along.” Hen confessed. All eyes landed on Buck as he quickly stood up, ready to leave the station and head to the hospital. “Buck, she’s in surgery.” Hen stopped him. “She’s five months pregnant and they’re still letting her operate?” He questioned.
He shook his head with a scoff before he stormed out of the station.
You had just gotten out of surgery, your back and neck sore due to the hours of standing you just endured. As you worked the kinks out of your neck, you turned the corner and saw Buck leaning against a hallway doorframe.
You came to a slow stop when you noticed him standing there. “Buck? Wh-What are you doing here?” You questioned. “You look good. For being five months along.” He said.
“Buck,” You started with a sigh. “You should’ve told me, Y/N.” Buck cut you off. “I was going too. I-I just wasn’t ready to see you again.” You said. “I had a right to know.” He said. “You had a right to know because you are the father, not because it was going to magically change things between us.” You slightly snapped.
“Y/N, I did it for the both of us. You didn’t need to sacrifice your job for me.” He told you. “No, what I needed was you. I needed you, Buck and you decided you didn’t want to fight for us anymore.” You sneered.
Soon after you finished talking, you scrunched up your face at some mild discomfort. “What? What is it? Are you okay?” Buck frantically questioned, quickly coming to your aid.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. She’s just really kicking. Probably due to the four hour surgery I was just in.” You answered. Buck looked at you with wide eyes and a ghost of a smile on his face. “Did you say she?” He asked.
“Yeah. It’s a girl.” You confirmed. You could see the look on his face and how overcome with pride and joy he was at the fact he was going to be having a daughter.
You knew then that you couldn’t deny him of getting a chance to be apart of the rest of your pregnancy and his child’s life. “I actually have an ultrasound scheduled. I get one every month to make sure everything’s okay. Do you want to be there?” You asked.
“Yes. Yes, absolutely I want to be there.” Buck answered. You smiled up at him as his hand fell into yours. “And then when you get off, you are coming back home. I know she’s not going to fix everything but we can at least start before she gets here. I want her to have two parents that love each other.” He added.
“I would like that.” You replied with a smile. Buck helped you to the OBGYN exam room and also helped you lay down.
Your OB was a good friend of yours, having been in multiple surgeries together since you started your residency. She came in, greeted you and then noticed Buck in the room.
“You finally told him?” She asked. “Not exactly. His coworker told him because Williams can’t keep her mouth shut.” You answered. “Okay, then. Well, welcome dad. Ready to see your baby?” The doctor asked him.
You thought Buck was going to pass out right then so you took his hand and squeezed it gently.
The doctor placed the wand on your belly, moving it around until you saw the baby on the screen. “There’s Baby Buckley. She’s looking great, about the size of a sweet potato. Everything looks good for both baby and mom. But at this point in the pregnancy, iron levels tend to get a little low so make sure you’re eating well so you don’t become anemic.” The doctor advised you.
You looked up at Buck and saw the tears in his eyes and smiled softly at the sight. “Can he hear the heartbeat?” You asked. The doctor smiled back at you as she turned the sound on the machine, a loud beating sound coming through the small speakers.
“Nice and healthy.” The doctor commented. “That’s our baby.” Buck said. “Yeah, it is. We’ve been calling her Baby Buckley because I can’t think of a name. I thought it was going to be a boy.” You told him. “You had a name for a boy?” Buck asked. “Yeah. I was thinking Evan.” You said, looking up at him.
Buck leaned down and kissed the top of your head. “I know you may not be ready to hear it but I love you.” He whispered.
“I’ll leave you two alone.” The OB said, exiting the room. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner. I was just too scared to face you after we broke up but that wasn’t fair to you.” You whispered.
“I’m not mad at you for not telling me, I’m mad at myself for leaving you alone. Having to go through this by yourself up until now.” Buck said. “Promise me you won’t leave.” You said.
“I promise. I’m not going anywhere.”
__
You knew labor was a painful experience. You’ve seen it first hand many times in medical school but you didn’t know how painful it really was.
It was long, your body was getting torn apart and you were mentally and physically exhausted. But Buck was there at your side through it all. Even when you screamed at him and told him you were in pain because it was all his fault.
He knew not to take it seriously. Even with the epidural he knew you were in pain. After 15 hours of labor, Buck’s daughter was finally in his arms. You were asleep, which was well deserved and Buck was holding the baby.
You stirred slightly and opened your eyes slowly and looked over at Buck in a hospital rocking chair. Looking at the little baby as if it were an $800 million lottery ticket.
“Gimme. I want to hold her.” You said tiredly, holding your hands out for your child. “Mommy is really greedy apparently.” Buck teased as he stood up. He placed the baby gently in your arms as he sat on the edge of your hospital bed.
“We still haven’t come up with a name.” He said. “You know how people say you won’t know your baby’s name until you see them?” You questioned, looking at her wrapped in her little pink blanket. “Yeah, why?” Buck asked. “Delilah. That’s her name.” You said.
Buck smiled warmly at the two most important people in his life. “It’s perfect.” He told you. “Just like her mom.” Buck added. “She has her dad’s eyes though. Beautiful blue eyes.” You spoke.
Buck looked at both you and your baby and saw the rest of his life right in front of him. But he wasn’t satisfied with coparenting, he wanted to be with you. Wake up to you in the morning and you being the first thing to greet him when he got home. You and your daughter.
“Marry me.” He said quietly. “What did you say?” You questioned. “I said, marry me. I want to be with you every day, even on the bad days when you’ve been up since four in the morning. I’ve wanted that with you since I met you and Inwas dumb to leave you before. So I’m not going anywhere.” Buck explained.
You smiled up at him before leaning forward to kiss him deeply. “Took you long enough, Buckley.” You whispered.
The seemingly perfect moment between you and Buck was ruined when the door to your hospital room opened.
“Can we see the baby?” Hen carefully asked as she poked her head in. “Of course you can.” You answered. Hen entered the room followed by the rest of the 118 and Maddie to see the newest addition of the family.
Everyone stood around and stared in awe at the baby. Buck’s baby, something they didn’t think would happen in a million years.
“What’s her name?” Maddie asked. “Delilah Buckley.” Buck answered. “She looks just like you, Y/N.” Hen commented. “Well, that’s a relief.” Buck said. “I’m so proud of you, Evan.” Maddie said hugging her brother.
“She really is beautiful.” Bobby added. “Welcome to the club, Buck.” Eddie said, patting him on the back. “I love all of you but Y/N needs to rest and so does Delilah.” Buck announced. “Already getting protective.” Chimney said.
You bid your goodbyes to your friends before Buck took Delilah out of your arms. You began to protest but Buck shook his head. “Nope. You need to rest. Especially if we want to go home tomorrow.” He said.
You smiled as he sat down in the chair, making faces at Delilah, who was gripping his finger with her hand. You had your perfect little family and you were very grateful things worked out for the better.

God Father
Colson comes to meet yours and Pete’s baby
Request: “Can I get a Pete Davidson one where you introduce you’re daughter to Colson please”
Pete Davidson x Reader
Word Count: 792
Tumblr media
Pete always said he wanted kids, and you did too. But you never really talked about having kids together. Until one day, after being with Pete for two and a half years, you saw the two lines on that stick.
You had checked two more sticks and went to see an OBGYN before you told Pete. It wasn’t that you thought he’d freak out, you just wanted to be sure.
Nine and a half months later and you were the proud mother of a very healthy baby girl. Catherine Amelia Davidson was the light of your lives, even if she was only one day old.
You had kept the pregnancy relatively quiet, wanting to keep the press out of your baby’s life as much as possible. Luckily, your friends all knew and were very supportive of this endeavor.
Most supportive, shockingly (or maybe not), was Colson Baker, Pete’s best friend. Maybe because he already had a kid of his own or maybe because he was just genuinely a good person. Colson was the guy Pete went to with parenting advice, the guy that gave you tips on what to do in certain situations, and the one who spoiled the baby the most. Which was weird because she wasn’t even born when he unloaded a truck load of baby supplies into the nursery.
So, it was only natural that he’d be the first one to meet her, other than you and Pete of course. Pete had texted him the moment you went into labor, telling him to get on the soonest flight out.
Pete was a champ throughout your labor, standing next to you holding your hand the entire time, even when you were screaming and telling him you were gonna chop his dick off. He made jokes to help calm you down between pushes but was fully supportive when you were in pain. He would whisper the sweetest things in your ear, making you a little less angry but still very much in pain.
It was all worth it when you held your baby girl in your arms for the first time. “She’s perfect.” He whispered.
You spent the next while curled up on the hospital bed with Pete and Catherine, cooing over your baby. The nurses had to take her to weigh and bathe her, leaving you and Pete to rest for a few hours. When you woke up, you heard the quiet whispering of your boyfriend and someone else. Opening your eyes, you saw your child’s god father in the hospital room, Casie sitting on his lap.
“There’s the woman of the hour.” He said once your eyes met his.
‘Hey Colson,” you smiled lazily, feeling Pete’s arms tighten around you. “Hi Casie.”
“Hi aunt Y/N.” She smiled, sending you a small wave.
Pete sat up, climbing off the bed. “Now that she’s awake, I’m gonna go get Catie and you guys can meet her.” You nod at him, sitting up and resting against the headboard.
“Thanks for coming.” You said softly, still pretty tired.
Colson nodded, a smile on his face, “You really think I wouldn’t come to see my god daughter on the first day of her life?” You chuckled.
“And my cousin!” Casie boasted.
You smiled, “and your god sister, technically.” Her eyes went wide with the new information, realization coming over her. Casie had always secretly wanted a sister, and even though she wasn’t blood, Casie had finally gotten one.
Pete came back in, the newborn in his arms. He held her head up, carrying her carefully. Colson stood up, Casie stealing the chair he was in. Pete handed your daughter to Colson, who was smiling so softly you swear his tattoos would disappear.
“Hi Catherine Amelie.” He whispered, looking down at her. “I’m Colson.”
Pete came back to the hospital cot, laying back down beside you and pulling you into his arms. He pressed soft, sweet kisses to your neck and face as you both watched Colson with your baby.
You’d definitely made the right choice for godfather.
“Casie, you wanna hold her?” Pete asked the young girl, who nodded enthusiastically.
Colson came to her and kneeled down, laying Catherine down in Casie’s arms and positioning her so the baby’s head would be supportive. “You gotta keep your arm up to support her and be gentle.”
Casie nodded, a smile on her face. “Hi Catie. I’m Casie. We’re gonna be best friends.”
Colson grabbed the baby’s arm and made a waving motion to Casie, “Nice to meet you Casie.” He said in a mock-baby voice. Casie laughed, watching Catherine infatuatedly.
You couldn’t help the flutter of your heart at the realization that you were surrounded by your family, and that was all you ever needed.

Biggest regret (part 3)
Pairing: Billy Russo x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: So many of you guys love this story and I love it. Thank you guys 😊
So this one really went off on a tangent and it's longer than I thought. But I didn't wanna rush this and I'm enjoying this story. So he doesn't meet his kid yet, that's in the next part that I'm writing right now. Then there will be another part that I've got in mind too.
Warnings: cursing, angst, sadness, fluff kinda, emotional Billy.
-----------
Delilah cooed happily where she was perched in a little rocker seat. It was vibrant pinks and yellows with a bar along the top and little stuffed animal shapes dangling off it that she swatted with her chubby hands.
You were cleaning. Stress cleaning to be precise. Ever since you got that letter from Billy you'd felt out of sorts. You really hadn't expected it. You'd spent the better half of the start of your pregnancy thinking he'd come to his senses. That he'd turn up and say sorry or even call or text. But by the end of the pregnancy you realised you'd asked too much of him. That maybe you didn't know him as well as you thought.
It had been a bitter pill to swallow having him just walk out of your lives like that. Your pregnancy hadn't been easy by any means and that only made it harder. You had no family, no real friends. You'd been completely alone. Every time you ended up at hospital the nurses took pity on you. Seeing you so sick with no visitors or help. It had been hard.
Since Delilah could return home, one of your neighbours in your complex had taken to helping you. Louise was a woman in her 60s and before now you'd only ever seen her in passing with a murmured hello. But seeing you struggle as a single mother, she'd taken you under her wing and helped you immensely.
You had to work from home since you had the baby. The time off with unpaid maternity leave when she was born and was sick had set you back quite a bit and now you were struggling. You'd had to leave your job since there was no way you could do it from home and you didn't have child care or the money to do it. And honestly, after having Delilah, the overwhelming urge to keep her safe was shocking. You didn't really want to leave her with someone you didn't know. It had been hard for you to agree to it with Louise who would occasionally have her for an hour or two so you could catch a break. And she was literally only next door which eased your mind a little.
Now you were doing proofreading and transcription work from home and it didn't exactly pay great. You got by though and you made do with what you had. You just didn't expect things to go this way. You still remember when you found out you were pregnant and told Billy. It had been a huge shock to you and despite the nagging feeling that this was how it would end, you stupidly hoped it would be different.
~
You sat on the bed, the test in your hands as the two pink lines glared at you. You were pregnant. You had a baby in your belly. You felt like you couldn't breathe. You and Billy weren't even super serious. There were feelings involved but neither of you mentioned it. Opting instead to pretend they weren't there. You were scared if you told him you loved him that he'd run for the hills and he was scared of feeling anything at all.
You'd been 'together' for nearly two years. You weren't officially boyfriend and girlfriend, there were no labels slapped on you both. But everyone knew you were his and he was yours and it worked just fine. But now there was a baby. Now things got serious way quicker than you expected and you were terrified.
You weren't ready to be a mom. You'd never put much thought into having kids and you didn't know how to be a mother. You'd have a tiny human that depended on you to keep them safe and loved. How the fuck would you manage that? And then there was Billy. You'd have to tell him and you felt sick with worry about how he would react.
You knew about his childhood, you knew pretty much everything about each other. He'd never known love as a child and you hoped that would mean it would force him to want to be there and be a good dad. But you knew him well enough to have the worry that it would have the opposite effect and he'd freak out.
He'd been at work and you'd been at his place. You didn't live with him, you still had your own place. But you stayed there most nights or he would be at yours. You never spent a night away from each other.
You heard the front door open and close and you felt a wave of dread settle over you. Like an ice cold blanket snaking around your entire body as it squeezed. You had to tell him. You had to hope he would be okay with this. You knew you'd keep the baby regardless. Despite only knowing for literal minutes, you cared about this baby. This baby was a piece of you and a piece of Billy. There was no way you couldn't keep them.
"Hey, sweetheart! I'm home!" You heard him call from the living room. You swallowed thickly as you stood on shaky legs, stuffing the test in the pocket of your hoodie. You made your way to the living room as he shucked off his jacket. He looked handsome as always and he flashed you a warm smile when he saw you. But it fell when he took in your anxiety induced state.
"What's wrong?" He asked carefully, black eyes scanning over you like he was checking if you were hurt. Your throat tightened as you felt your eyes prickle and you willed the tears away.
"Uh… you should sit down. We need to talk," you murmured softly. He frowned, tilting his head as he regarded you.
"Sounds ominous," he replied dryly. He complied though and moved to sit on the sofa. You opted to stay standing near the coffee table.
Your whole body felt like it was shaking and you felt in your bones that this was the moment where everything would change. Either for better or worse, but change was coming and it hurt your heart. You needed to just tell him, get it over with. You inhaled a shaky breath as you looked at him. His face was etched in concern and he was patient with you, watching all the emotions pass over your face.
"I'm pregnant," you blurted, grabbing the test from your pocket and handing it to him. His eyes almost popped out of his head and he grabbed the test, staring at it. You couldn't get a good read on his face other than the surprise and you didn't like that. He was staring at it hard and you knew he was deep in thought. That cold dread came back and sunk its claws into you.
Suddenly, he tossed the test on the coffee table, springing out of his seat and moving around to the back of the couch like he wanted to get far away from you.
"No," he frowned. You blinked dumbly at him for a moment as your eyes burned.
"No?" You asked softly. His dark eyes pinned you in place then. For a brief moment you saw utter pain and complete panic, eyes glassy with unshed tears. But then all emotion left his face, left his eyes, and it felt like a punch to the gut. You'd seen that look on his face before but never directed at you.
"I'm not… I can't do this. I don't want a kid," he said coldly. The lump in your throat got bigger as you nodded. What else could you say? You could cry and scream and fight but what was the use? Part of you expected this although you hoped for something else. You couldn't force him to stick around. If he wanted out then you had no choice but to let him.
You felt tears slip down your face as you glared at the floor, lower lip quivering. You couldn't look at him. The pain you felt was unbearable. Pain for yourself for losing him, pain at how cold he was being, and pain for your baby for having a dad that didn't want them. Did Billy even realise he was continuing the cycle of his own upbringing?
You felt his eyes burning into you but you couldn't look. You had so many things you wanted to say but they all caught on the lump in your throat. Without a word, he grabbed his jacket and left, slamming his door behind him so loud you jumped. You sobbed then, moving to curl up on the sofa as you let it all out. He was gone. You'd have to do this all alone and you missed him already despite him leaving you like this.
You were unsure of how long you lay on his sofa sobbing your heart out until your phone chimed with a message. Stupidly you thought it was Billy saying sorry. It was Billy, but he definitely wasn't apologising.
'I'll be back in two hours. Pack all your shit and be gone before I get home. Don't contact me again.'
You felt a surge of anger and bitterness seep into you then. You thought he'd cared. Never had he told you how he felt about you but he acted like he cared. Introduced you to the Castle's, his family. But clearly you were wrong. His message was loud and clear. You didn't respond, there was no need. He wanted to never hear from you again and that was fine. You packed anything of yours and left within an hour, your heart heavy with pain, hurt and anger.
~
When you got his letter, at first you were angry. You wanted to be petty. Wanted to ignore it or send him one back telling him to go fuck himself. But you'd looked at your daughter then with her sweet smile and her dad's eyes and you couldn't. Because despite what he'd done, she deserved her dad.
You hadn't responded to the letter right away. Two weeks you kept reading it and coming to terms with all the emotions it brought you. You knew you still cared about him even after what he'd done. You couldn't help it. But his letter sounded so sincere and the self loathing in his words tugged at your heart. He'd fucked up big time, but he was trying to fix it. Billy was a proud man and you knew it took him a lot to reach out to you. You wanted Delilah to get to know her dad and wanted her to have a relationship with him.
You had a lot to work through and you and Billy would need some serious talks to be able to co-parent properly, but you'd do it for Delilah. There wasn't a thing in the world you wouldn't do for that girl.
So you'd replied and now you've been waiting for his call. You were full of nerves and you could taste the emotions lingering from the day he left in the back of your throat. You felt like you were in some kind of limbo.
After stress cleaning for a bit and looking after Delilah, you sat on the sofa with the TV on low as she snoozed in her little seat. You felt lucky she was such a chill baby. The pregnancy and birth had been harder to deal with and you thought having her would be difficult but it hadn't been that hard for you. Louise kept telling you that you had natural maternal instincts and that you'd picked it up easily.
You tried to pay attention to the screen when your phone buzzed from your pocket. Your heart skipped a beat as you got it out. It was a number you didn't recognise and your breath started coming in shorter because you knew just who it would be.
"Hello?" Your voice shook a little as you answered and you heard a soft sigh on the other end.
"Hey, Y/N, it's Billy," his voice was smooth like always but it sounded off. A little raw.
"You got my letter then," you murmured. You rolled your eyes at yourself for stating the obvious but you didn't know what else to say. Never had it been so stilted and awkward to talk to Billy.
"Yeah… and I know you asked me to really think about it, so I did. And I wanna be there. I'd like to… I'd like to meet her if I can," he sounded apprehensive and you wondered if he thought that you'd reject him even after telling him in the letter you wanted them to meet.
"Okay… I'd like to meet up with you first. We have a lot to talk about that needs dealing with before you meet her," you said firmly. This you wouldn't budge on. There was a lot of unresolved tension and feelings around you both and one quick meeting with him wouldn't fix that, but you wanted to clear some air before he came to meet Delilah so it wasn't completely tense. You also wanted to make sure he really was 100% with this or you wouldn't allow it to happen. You wouldn't let her get hurt.
"Yeah, I'll do… anything you need. Whatever you want," he answered quickly. You nodded even though he couldn't see it, happy that he wasn't fighting you on it. He seemed like he genuinely wanted to take this seriously which was good.
"Right… uh… I can… I can meet you today. The diner down the street from my place? About 6pm?" You asked softly. You heard him sniffle a bit down the phone and you started to wonder if he'd come up with an excuse about work. You knew he worked late a lot.
"Yeah, that's fine. I'll be there," he said resolutely. This was a good start already.
"I'll see you then, bye Billy," you murmured.
"Bye, Y/N," he replied softly. You hung up and blew out a breath, your shaking hands gripping your phone. You hadn't heard his voice in over a year and it had your heart hammering away against your ribcage. You still loved him but the love was tainted with pain and betrayal. You'd have to stuff it down for the sake of your daughter.
You didn't bother to change out of your jeans, boots, tee and hoodie and after asking Louise if she could look after Delilah for a bit, you set off out. You'd told Louise everything. She already knew what happened with Billy and you'd even let her read his letter. While she wasn't happy he'd walked away in the first place, she was happy he was trying to step up now. You were glad she was supporting you with this.
You got to the diner five minutes early and fully expected to have to wait. But when you got inside, Billy was already sitting in a booth. He looked shit scared and his fingers drummed on the table restlessly. As you approached, his head snapped up. So many emotions crossed his face as he looked at you that you couldn't keep up with them. But when it settled on heartbreak you felt your own squeeze painfully in your chest.
He stood up as you got to the table and there was an awkward moment where you both looked at each other. He looked tired. He had dark rings around his eyes and his usually perfect hair was a little dishevelled. He had on casual clothes and his leather jacket. He took a step closer like he was going to hug you and you stepped back without thinking. His face fell a little and he nodded, the movement stiff but he seemed to understand you weren't ready for it.
He moved to sit down and you sat opposite him. It was so tense you could cut the air with a knife and you didn't even know where to start. The waitress came over then and gave you both a bright smile and you both ordered coffee. Once she was gone the tense atmosphere was back.
"I'm sorry," Billy muttered brokenly. Your eyes looked up at him then and he was staring at you with shiny eyes. Your throat constricted and you cleared it.
"Billy-" you started with a frown. He cut you off though.
"I know… I know I'm the biggest asshole out there. I don't deserve you sittin' here or givin' me a chance. But I want you to know that… I thought about you and the baby… Delilah… every damn day. And I-I hated myself for walkin' away. And I can't take back what did, but I can be better. I want to be better. And I'm sorry I hurt you and I'm sorry I left. But I'm serious when I say I wanna be here. You said I'm in or out and I want in. And I swear, I fuckin' swear that I'll prove to you I'm a better man," he said imploringly, leaning his forearms on the table as he watched you.
You blinked at him, collecting your emotions as the waitress came over with the coffees. She didn't linger, sensing the heaviness of whatever was happening in your booth.
"I'm glad you're here, Billy. And it's gonna take work for us to… to be okay around each other. But Delilah is the focus here and you deserve to have a relationship with her. You're her dad," you said softly. He sneered, not at you but himself, as he shook his head.
"No… no I'm not. I haven't been there. Sure she's mine, my DNA, my blood, but… I walked out. I left you, I left her and you both needed me. I'm not a dad, not yet. But I'll do whatever it takes to show you I'm worthy of bein' her dad," his voice shook yet was also firm and you knew in your heart he meant his words. It settled you a bit to know he really was serious about this.
"I'll be honest… part of me expected to come here and you wouldn't be ready. That you were talking shit for whatever reason. But I believe you. I wish it hadn't taken this long but I'm glad you're here now, Billy. It's been… so fucking hard doing this alone," your hands were around your cup and you stared at them as you spoke, your voice quiet among the light buzz in the diner.
You heard his breathing hitch and looked at him again. His fists were clenched and his head was lowered which made it hard to read his face. His whole body was tense and you were about to open your mouth to ask if he was okay when you noticed his shoulders shaking slightly. Oh.
He sucked in a breath as a broken sob left his lips and it ripped a hole right through your chest. Now matter what he'd done, seeing him this way was jarring. You'd seen many sides to Mr Billy Russo and you'd even seen him cry before. But he looked so worn down and broken and it hurt you even if it was his own fault.
His elbows resting on the table, he brought his hands up and rested his head on them as he openly sobbed. You never thought you'd see the day that Lieutenant Russo cried in a public space but he seemed beyond caring.
You swallowed the lump in your throat as you stood and moved to his side. You slid into the booth next to him as your own eyes welled up and you reached out a shaky hand to stroke the back of his neck. He tensed at first like he hadn't even noticed you'd moved which was startling given how perceptive he was about everything around him. But then he relaxed and moved his face from his hands and turned to look at you. Tears were streaming down his face and he looked younger and vulnerable.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and he didn't hesitate to bury his face in your neck as his own arms held you tightly. You stroked his hair softly, trying to soothe him a little. You couldn't help it. Maybe it was that maternal instinct that always hated when someone was upset around you or maybe it was just the fact that no matter what happened, you did still care.
"It's okay, Billy," you whispered through your own tears. He shook his head where it was still pressed against your now damp neck.
"No it's not. I fucked up. I shoulda been there," his voice was muffled and broken with his soft sobs that were slowly easing and you held him a little tighter.
"You did fuck up but you're here now and that's what matters," you murmured. You pulled away and he let you go reluctantly as he sniffled and looked down. You reached up and wiped his cheeks with your hoodie sleeves and then he looked at you.
"We can't change the past, Billy. Yeah, you messed up, and yeah it hurt me. But you already missed out on so much and that's a punishment in itself. Things aren't gonna be easy and it'll take time for us to heal, but you're here now and Delilah needs you. That's what matters," you uttered, hands falling from his face.
He sniffled again as he nodded, his obsidian gaze searching your face like he was looking for something.
"I don't… I don't have the words because thank you doesn't even come close. I don't deserve this. I don't deserve you helpin' me out and I don't deserve Delilah. I didn't really think I'd hear from you and now here you are, fuckin' comforting me in a diner when it should be the other way around," he lamented with a frown.
"I don't like seeing you cry," you shrugged with a weak smile as your hands toyed with the sleeves of your hoodie. He gave you a small smile back as he nodded. A silence settled over you both then and it was slightly awkward. You knew he was probably embarrassed and also still beating himself up. Once upon a time you'd be glad to know how hard he was being on himself over this. But seeing him like this was painful.
There were still a lot of things to sort through with the pair of you but they weren't the priority. The first and most important thing was him establishing a relationship with his daughter. You figured in time things would get easier with him and he seemed dead set on being here now. And you could see the genuine remorse for walking away so you knew he was serious.
"I should go. But uh…" you murmured as you stood from the booth, Billy following suit.
"You can… you can meet her tomorrow if you'd like? I could… I don't know, make dinner for us all? You could come by my place and meet her before dinner?" You suggested, voice laced with uncertainty. His face lit up then even with his slightly damp cheeks and shiny eyes. His smile was bright even if it was hesitant.
"I'd really like that," he nodded as he gazed down at you.
"Okay… good. Uh… come by around 5?" It still felt awkward between you and you hated it. It used to be so easy between the two of you.
"I will… thank you, Y/N," he murmured sincerely. You nodded and gave him a little smile. He stepped forward and this time you didn't step back. The hug didn't last long but it took you back to a time when things were good with the pair of you. Where you felt safe in his strong arms surrounded by his calming scent. It sent a pang through your chest. You hugged him back before he moved away and you gave him another nod before you left.
By the time you were walking in your complex you had tears down your cheeks. It had been hard to see him after everything. Hard to see him such a mess too. You had that feeling, the same one you did the day you found out you were pregnant. That things were changing, this was a turning point. Only this time it was a good one.
It was hard to wrap your head around after all this time that he'd be there. Of course there would be a period of adjustment where he got to know his daughter, but eventually he'd be parenting just like you. It was a strange feeling to comprehend that you wouldn't be alone in this anymore.
Seeing him and speaking to him, it had eased some of the bitterness that you'd held for him. Not completely but quite a bit. You couldn't hold onto the anger and pain of the past, not when Delilah needed this. You'd never be able to go back and redo how things happened but you could close that chapter and start a new one. One where Billy was actually around and your daughter had a dad. Despite the nerves for the dinner the next day, you were also a little excited and hopeful.

Hudson and Rex HC - How would Charlie and Sarah take care of the other if either one of them was injured?
Charlie taking care of Sarah:
Charlie is 100%, without a shred of doubt, the biggest worrywart and mother hen
He frets nonstop
It's kinda cute
But also pretty annoying
Sarah's parents LOVE him for this though
Their daughter is in the other side of the country, they worry, and when they get a call saying she's been hurt... They're so scared
But then they get to the hospital and this blonde teddy bear with the cutest dog ever is basically interrogating the doctors and hovering over the nurses to make sure they're not being too rough and suddenly they feel a lot better about the situation
He's nervous when Sarah introduces him but he offers to get the doctor to talk to them and grab them some coffee and something to eat
Literally the second that he's out of the room to they're on Sarah's case 'why didn't you tell us you have a boyfriend?!', 'and such a courteous one at that!'
She's been dreading this conversation honestly
'we're just friends' her dad is skeptical and her mom outright scoffs 'if you have to say that you're just friends, you're not just friends'
They're all speaking in Vietnamese which is good for Sarah cause Charlie comes back just as Sarah's mom starts talking about potential grandchildren and she's so relieved that he has no idea what they're saying
When she's out of the hospital and at home he's calling to check on her multiple times a day and is stopping by whenever possible
He brings her two lasagnas made with aunt Miranda's secret recipe
Rex cuddles with her whenever they stop by and Charlie does his best to ignore the ping of jealousy
The worrying and doting doesn't stop even when she's back at work
Brings her all the tea and coffee she needs
Checks up on her constantly
After she's been back two days she's kinda had enough
'Look, Charlie, it's sweet that you care and that you've been so worried, but I'm fine and your fretting is getting to be a but much'
He apologizes but they still end up eating dinner together and Sarah really is grateful to have him
He got Sarah's parents' phone numbers before they left and he's kept them up to speed after they leave. Sarah's mom said she's 'rooting for him' but he didn't know what she meant by that
Sarah taking care of Charlie:
Charlie is The Most Stubborn Man she has ever met
He must either be ordered to bed or restrained
She made the mistake of voicing that thought out loud once and Jessie wouldn't stop teasing her for a week 'I'm sure that you could borrow a set of handcuffs or two, Sarah' she blushes for hours on end and is so focused on trying to not be awkward around Charlie that she doesn't notice that his blush lasts longer than hers does
Rex becomes her side kick, Charlie may be his person but when Sarah orders him to stop Charlie from getting out of bed our goodest boy is on a Mission
Plus she gives him lots of treats for his valiant work
Sarah is the Queen of homemade soup and Charlie is super grateful
She brings a fully stocked med kit when she stays with him, and whenever she goes to check on him around work
Charlie may be in love with Sarah, but he now despises thermometers
She's constantly checking his temperature, even when he goes back to work
They're taking a break to eat some food and Sarah is looking at him like he's a patient again, so he holds her stare and says 'I'm fine, Sarah, really' and they hold eye contact for a lot longer than friends would and Jessie has to cough to interrupt them

I can, I can't : Part 1 of 3
Pairing: Jaemin x female reader
Gener: best friends to lovers au, smut, fluff
Warning: mentions of sex, masturbation (Female)
Summary: Jaemin and Y/N are part of a group of best friends. One day, things change.....
They called themselves the dropouts. Brought up in good Catholic families, active within the Church community as kids, Catholic school education... the works. They then grew up and stopped going.
It wasn't some group thing were everyone agreed to stop going altogether at the same time. It was more like, one by one, they stopped going.
Jeno was the first to stop, at 15, after his parents got divorced. He became angry and withdrawn. By 16 he was mixing with the wrong crowd - think underaged drinking, partying, It was only after a close brush with the law that he - literally and figuratively - sobered up and decided to focus on healthier pursuits like education and sports. Thankfully too, the old Jeno that everyone knew and love came back.
Then were was Renjun. Renjun was always the one who wasn't really into religion anyway. He was more apt to believing in aliens and ghosts. His mother kept him going for as long as she could. By 18 he was out.
Haechan, as he got older, became a sporadic goer. After moving out on his own to live with the guys and Y/N in an apartment closer to campus, he stopped too.
Y/N? The older she grew, the more she learnt about the importance of gender equality. The more she embraced feminism, the more she found some church teachings hard to swallow.
All was left, of course, was Jaemin. Now Jaemin, he was still a "good boy", faithfully going to Church every Sunday. It wasn't that he was extremely religious. It was more that he had gone to Church every single week all his life. To not go one week felt odd and different.
The good thing was, nobody made fun of him or tried to stop him from going. Jeno even woke him up on Sunday mornings before he went for his 10km runs just so Jaemin would get to mass on time. (Mass is what Catholics call a church service.)
Y/N enjoyed hanging out with her friends. She was like one of the boys. It had always been like that since they were young. Everyone who knew Y/N knew she was not to be messed with. Not only was she capable of kicking anyone's balls, she also had four bros who would come after their ass too. In fact, guys who were interested in dating her would often try to get in good standing with the four guys so life would be easier for them. So it was hardly surprising that Y/N had never had her heart broken.
The problem was, Y/N was the one breaking hearts. Commitment wasn't her strongest suit, and more often than not she'd break off with whoever she was seeing with very trivial reasons, First she was dating Xiaojun. Then 7 months later she broke it off with him because apparently he "sucked at making out". The truth was, Xiaojun was good enough in bed but Y/N wanted to date the more exciting Yang Yang after meeting him at a frat party her gal friends dragged her to and making out with him. So Yang Yang it was. For a while she was happy. But then 10 months passed and Yang Yang was history. Now it seemed, was some guy called Lucas.
"Now, before you guys misunderstand, Lucas is not my boyfriend." Y/N declared over a pizza with Jaemin one Saturday night. "He's just... a friend..."
Jaemin raised his eyebrow. "You mean a friend with benefits? Cos based on what we have to hear every single Friday night, none of us think you guys are friends. Speaking of which.... Jeno wants me to talk to you."
"Let me guess, you lost rock paper scissors. Again. And that's why you're the one speaking to me."
"Well, we have house rules to follow..." Jaemin started, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
"Jeno and his stupid house rules." Y/N sighed. "What now? I can't bring Lucas home?"
"It's getting kind of weird for all of us...."
"You guys bring girls home all the time!" Y/N protested.
"I don't." Jaemin said. It was true.
"Jeno does. Haechan does. Even Renjun! Remember that weird Yoga chick he was seeing?"
"But they're not loud. Lucas sounds like he has a loudhailer in his throat and it's weird hearing him......we end up having to use headphones."
"I've tried asking him to tone it down. But he gets too excited when I blow him..." Y/N grinned as Jaemin covered his ears with his hands, not wanting to hear the details.
"Look, Jeno says he appreciates that YOU have gotten less loud since that time you were dating Yang Yang. But Lucas he's just.... too expressive. Can't you do it at his house or something? It's not the moaning as much as the dirty talk, you know?" Jaemin's voice was getting tinier and tinier.
"If Jeno has a problem, why can't he tell me himself?" I know it's not Haechan or Renjun who are complaining. Haechan's always gaming with his stupid headphones on and Renjun's always listening to music on his noise cancelling ones."
Jaemin sighed. "Don't put me in a tough spot, Y/N..."
He looked at her with puppy dog eyes.
"Fine. I'll speak to Lucas. But I'm only doing it cos of you, cos you good Catholic boy and virgin and all."
Jaemin rolled his eyes. "For the last time, Y/N, I'm not a virgin!"
Lucas took the news surprisingly well and he was happy to have her hang at his apartment instead. Which turned out to be a better thing, since his apartment was bigger and his housemates were never around. Y/N wondered why she insisted on making out at her apartment to begin with.
"I'm surprised Jeno was the one with the problem.." Lucas said after they had made out and she was snuggling in his arms.
"He has all these rules. The worst part is he makes Jaemin speak to me instead of telling me directly."
"It makes sense. You and Jaemin are close."
"I'm close to all four of them."
"No no no." Lucas said, "Each of them has a different thing with you."
"Explain, Mr Wong." she said, looking up at him.
"I think Jeno knows both of you have strong characters so he has Jaemin speak to you instead when there's an issue so you guys won't argue. He prefers to keep things light, so the most you're gonna get is Jeno making fun of you for having a thing for foriegn men."
"What about Haechan?"
"Haechan's your gaming bestie. You talk about gaming, and game together. But he'd kick the ass of anyone who gives you trouble."
"I think I'm least close to Renjun."
"I don't think it's that. It's more Renjun is kind of in his own world. He's like that with everyone. But he feels close to you guys."
Y/N was impressed.
"What about Jaemin?"
"Jaemin's like your total opposite. But you guys get each other. I like him. He's a good guy."
"Yeah he's a virgin." Y/N joked.
"He's a good looking guy! Heck, if I was a chick I'd go after him man!" Lucas said, his eyes expressive as always.
"Well, he's a good guy. I've never seen him bring a girl home."
"Come on man, when it comes to hormones, even good guys turn bad."
Lucas was driving her home when she got a call from Jaemin.
"Wassup?"
"Are you alone?" Jaemin asked. He sounded strange. "I need help."
"Are you ok?" Y/N asked. "I'm with Lucas. Where are you?"
"Oh. I'll call someone else..."
"Don't be an idiot, Jaemin. Where are you?"
"Hospital." he said. "Can you come? Just don't tell anyone anything. Not even Lucas."
She found him in a bad state at the hospital. Sitting in a daze, blood stains on his crumpled shirt. Y/N had never seen Jaemin look so small.
"Hey" she half whispered. He looked up.
"I can go now. I got an x-ray done. My nose is not broken. And it's finally stopped bleeding." he said. "I already collected my medicines. Mostly painkillers."
"What happened?" she asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." he said.
"Let's get home and get you out of these bloody clothes. And then you can tell me after you've had a good night's sleep."
"Can i sleep in your room tonight?" he asked. It was an unsual request. "I'm feeling quite shaken."
"Yeah. Sure. Let's do that."
It was 2am and he still couldn't sleep. She could feel him toss and turn next to her.
"Jae."
"Sorry."
"No, I can't sleep either."
He sat up.
"I need to get my ID card back. Can you follow me tomorrow?"
"Your ID card?"
"I was fooling around with a first year chick in her house. Her parents came back and caught us. Her dad took my ID away, said he was going to lodge a police report against me for tresspassing his house and taking advantage of his daughter. Well, that's after he beat me up."
Y/N sat up. This was interesting, she thought.
"She's 18?" she asked.
"Yeah."
"18 is legal you dumbass." she slapped her forehead.
"I thought it was 21.."
Y/N groaned. "I can't believe you're so stupid."
"But the trespassing thing?"
"They don't have a case Jae. I'm sure you can prove you were invited there. Even if she lies and said she didn't invite you. They can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt."
"I'm so glad you're studying law."
"And Jaemin?"
"What?"
"It's illegal for him to detain your ID. YOU can report him."
"Oh. I didn't know that."
"Can you go sleep now that you know you're not actually in trouble?"
"Yes. Thanks Y/N." he said, turning to face the opposite side.
But Y/N couldn't sleep. Her mind was running a million miles a minute. Jaemin made out with someone. What was he like when making out? Was he gentle? Was he sweet like he always was to everyone? Was he a dom or sub? What did he do with the girl? Did he have fun?
Her own thoughts made her sick. Feeling a stir in her stomach made her sick. This was her best friend she was thinking of. She had to stop. Maybe she needed a shower.
Taking a towel with her to the bathroom, she shut the door, stripping quickly and getting under the hot jets of water. Damn it, Y/N, she scolded herself. Not Na Jaemin. What happened to your thing for Chinese guys?
She soaped herself trying to escape the mental picture of Jaemin, between the girl's thighs, lapping on her clit mercilessly, his eyes twinkling like they would whenever Jeno or Haechan said something witty. Suddenly, she was thinking of him between her legs, lapping at her core.
She brought her fingers to her clit, rubbing them from side to side. She leaned against the bathroom wall, moving more aggressively. She was wet. Biting her lip she pushed two fingers into her pussy, thrusting them in and out, the sound of the shower masking the wet noises as her fingers moved.
The muscles in her stomach were tightening. She could no longer hold back, thinking of Jaemin thrusting into her, looking at her with an intense gaze. She wanted him bad.
Slowly she came undone, as she moaned into her hands while cumming.
Suddenly, someone was knocking aggressively on the bathroom door. Y/N froze.
"I need to pee!" Haechan shrieked. "Hurry! I need to go back to my game!"
"Give me 2 minutes I'll be done." Y/N said, drying herself with her towel and getting dressed, mind still dazed from thinking about Jaemin. She knew their friendship was never going to be the same ever again.
She was just wondering how easy or hard it was going to be, to get Jaemin to join her on the other side.
