How do you think jhutch characters would handle a baby?
I'm not quite sure if you're asking "what would they do if you handed them a baby" or "what would they do if you told them you're pregnant" but I'm gonna assume you meant the latter. (feel free to send another request if I got it wrong)
Ranking Jhutch characters from worst to best fathers:
Billy
☆ Would play dumb when you hand him the pregnancy test.
☆ "What's this? Oh, you're pregnant? Can't be mine. My pull-out game is too strong." (literally has NO pull-out game, refuses to use condoms because he "can't feel" with them on)
☆ Basically ghosts you until the paternity test proves it's his. Then he actually ghosts you.
☆ Drops off the face of the fucking Earth for years. Doesn't pay a dime in child support.
☆ Maybe he comes back like 3 years later drunk and demanding to see "his" kid idk. Literally the worst.
Derek
☆ Honestly I headcannon he had a vasectomy at like 24-25.
☆ His mom hit him up once she heard about his prostitute scandals and chewed him out. Gave him "the talk" even though he's a grown ass man... finally got him to get snipped when she brought up the possibility of paying income-based child support for 18 years.
☆ Assuming he doesn't have one, though...
☆ He'd initially be mad and blame you. "I thought you were on the pill!!"
☆ Then he'd be like "Is it too late to... you know... get rid of it?" (and kind of dance around the subject because he's too much of a wimp to just say the word abortion)

☆ He would treat a son completely differently. Teach him to "be a man" or whatever when he's still learning to walk. Force him into random ass sports.

☆ Whether we're talking pre-show or post-show, he'd freak the fuck out if you handed him a positive pregnancy test. I'm talking full-on pass out.
☆ Pre-show Josh would be like "Babe we can NOT afford a baby I literally live at home with my parents and work as a janitor."
☆ His parents would be so crazy supportive though. They've been hinting that they want grandkids for YEARS.
☆ They literally clear out a room IMMIDEATELY after hearing the news and offer it to you to use as a nursery.
☆ His mom buys you more baby clothes than you could possibly need. His dad builds a crib from scratch.
☆ Overall Josh is stressed asf but he does his best to be there for you, and his parents are OVERWHELMIGLY supportive.
☆ Post-show Josh, on the other hand, doesn't have that support. But he's survived unspeakable horrors across multiple dimensions, how hard could a baby be?
☆ Extremely hard, apparently. One day he just loses it and makes a huge decision without asking you.
☆ "Josh WTF happened to our savings??"
☆ "TRUST ME BABE we need to invest in Apple!!"
☆ You're pissed but it pays off in a few years and you're both able to live comfortably.
☆ Then in 2015-ish he did the same thing again, pouring all your savings into bitcoin. This time you SWEAR you're going to leave him, but it all pays out in the end. He gets your kid through college with that money.
☆ Overall he's a really good father, too. He had great parents, and even if he's not experienced with kids, he's naturally a very caring and attentive person.
Mike
☆ Cries when he sees the pregnancy test. He's not even sure if it's happy or sad tears.
☆ Gets sick to his stomach overthinking about how he's going to be a terrible father. His dad walked out on him, so he has literally no idea how to act.
☆ Abby, on the other hand, is absolutely delighted. She's always wanted a "little sister". Mike has to remind her that technically it's her niece. Or nephew. There's no guarantee on the gender yet.
☆ Eventually he comes to terms with it all. He's taken care of Abby for ten years, he isn't completely clueless.
☆ Takes you to all of your Dr.'s appointments, checkups, etc. Holds your hand. Makes all of your weird pregnancy cravings and doesn't judge.
☆ After the birth, he lets you rest. Nearly works himself to death trying to take care of the baby all on his own because he wants you to recover.
☆ I'm talking getting up bleary-eyed at 2am every night to microwave some formula and feed the baby. After working a 10 hour shift.
☆ Pulls the "I have a baby on the way" card at work in an attempt to get a raise. It works, thankfully. (In the novel version of the movie; it says he gets a job as a contractor at the end. So hopefully he can afford a kid...)

in a modern au, sukuna and you would definitely freak out about social media, which is why he would refuse to get it, and when he does, he only follows you, and a good ten other people, but man would he have a few good followers. he would also only let you follow him.
more so, you and sukuna wouldn’t be very healthy together, even if your perfect, he isnt by any means. but, if you were dating him, with no reprecussions such as him being in yuji; and or his real form, if he were just his own person, well you two would definitely be quite a pair.
he calls you immature for sure when you two get into an argument and he knows your right. he often picks fights with you, since he believes makeup sex is the best kind. what can you say? seriously.
i dont think he would pressure you into anything, if you were uncomfortable, he’d keep going, until you tell him to actually stop, is when he takes a clue, and stops.

Admin's Note: I wanted to write a moment where Subaru not only shows how much he improved mentally because of Yui help also physically help him relieve some of his trauma.
🥀 A Night Just for Us 🥀
Sounds of feet pounding against leaves on the ground.
*Crunch! Crunch!*
Butler: Quickly! We must return him to the manor before Lord Karlheinz returns!
Maid: Young master Subaru, please come back here! You'll get in trouble if you don't return to the castle! ...not to mention his mother will probably go mad once she realizes he's missing... .
Young Subaru makes a sharp left turn, sliding under a sort of bramble bushes. Wincing in pain, a few needles gab into his skin.
Subaru: Leave me alone! I refuse to go back to that hellhole! My father is dammed for all I care!
Subaru picks up speed, he levitates off the group and flys into a forest of tall trees.
Maid: Damnit, we lost him! No, what do we do?! If we don't find him before Master returns, ....he'll have our heads on a pole!
Butler: Calm yourselves! There is no need for us to panic, remember he ran into the forest without thinking. He doesn't know how to navigate it unlike the two of us. It's only a matter of time before he either gets too scared or famished. All we have to do is wait for him to come to us.
Maid: Are you sure that he will come to fruition? Master Subaru is as hotheaded as he is stubborn. With a temper like his, there is no telling how long he can stay in there.
Butler: I'm positive, after all, he's a spoiled pampered brat who hasn't stepped out of the manor in years. Can't even tell the difference between day and night let alone make it too far on his own. He's naive, gullible, defiant, and incapable of keeping himself safe. It's only a matter of patience. Come, while he's looking for a way out, we'll gather the familiars to aid us in our search.
Maid: If you're sure, hopefully, that brat doesn't get us in any trouble. I'd hate to deal with the demented bitch of mother he has. Lady Christa, we'll surely bring hell upon us all if her son isn't found.
The servants leave, heading back to the castle.
*Time skip*
Subaru floats in the air as his eyes survey the surrounding area.
Subaru: Ha...it looks like I finally got rid of those guys. Good riddance, I hope that bastard gives them hell once they return. Serves them right for trying to bring me back to that place.... .
Subaru looks down, his eyes clouded with sleep and resentment as he clutches his hands into tight fists.
Subaru: ..I'll never go back...I'd rather die than put up with that place again...
Subaru floats down to the ground, landing on a pile of brown leaves. A loud breeze rushes past the young boy making him shiver. Immediately he rubbed his arms to create some friction to warm him up.
Subaru: Ahcoo! Ugh, I should've brought a jacket before I left, well it's too late to go back now. Those guys are already back at the castle gathering reinforcements. I'll be dammed if they find me, better keep moving.
Subaru continues on his way, more cold air pushing past him violently almost making him fall. His nose begins to leak like a Fossette as specks of ice try to form on his arms
Subaru: *sniff* Why is it so cold?! Tch, now even the elements are trying to piss me off. Screw them, I ain't stopping for anyone or anything. The farther am away from those lousy servants, judgmental aristocrats, assholes of a father and.....
Subaru looked down sorrowfully, his chest tightening as he stared at the wet dirty sticking against his boots.
Subaru: Mother... She'll probably lose her mind once she notices I'm not home.... who can blame her though, no one should be burdened with the sight of my hideous face. Not even her... I wonder where I'll go from here. I don't have any money, there is no one around who won't report me back to my father once they catch me. Maybe I can stay here in the forest. If I go far enough then no one will be able to find me. I'll be all alone without communication for miles. Just how I want it to be... .
Subaru continues his walk deeper into the heart of the forest.
*Time Skip*
Subaru eyes droop slightly, blinking rapidly to keep himself from falling over
Subaru: *Yawn* How long have I been walking for... It feels like it's been hours. I think I've gotten far enough from the castle, I should find a place to sleep... .
Subaru finds a spot under a tree to rest. Sitting on the ground, bundling himself up for warmth as he slowly begins to shut his eyes.
*Squeak , Squeak *
Subaru's eyes immediately shoot open as the sounds of squeaks in the distance pull him out of his tired state. Making him stand to run.
Subaru: I spoke too soon! I need to get out of here!
Subaru hightails it into the forest, turning left to right, up and down, over and under, in and out trying to get the familiars off his trail. Sweat drips from his brow as his heavy breathing leaves his lunges in cold clear puffs.
Subaru: Ha...G-Gotta keep ha...ha...moving! Can't s-stop...now!
Subaru pushes forward despite his trouble breathing, at that moment forgets he doesn't need air to breathe but is unable to think clearly as his mind tells him to just keep running.
*Crunch! Crunch!*
Butler: Over there! The familiars have found his scent by the forest river. We need to hurry before he escapes us!
Maid: Let's split up so we can cut him off! I'll head East and you take West!
The two servants nod as they take off in different directions with a familiar alongside them.
*Swish Swish*
Subaru's ears perk up once he hears the sound of water in the distance. His feet pounding against the dirt, noticing how he could barely hear the familiars anymore.
Subaru: Looks like I lost those rodents. If I can just make it to the river, I can make them lose my scent! I need to hurry before they catch up!
Subaru could hear the water more clearer making him run even faster. However as he ran, his mudded boot got caught on an uprooted branch. Tripping him harshly to the ground as he face-planted into the wet ground.
*Bam*
Subaru: Ahh! ... Ow.. shit what the... I fell over... I need to keep moving before... Ack!
Subaru winced in pain as a sharp object jabbed into his back.
Maid: Not so fast Young Master, we can't let you reach farther beyond this point.
Butler: Your behavior has been absolutely horrendous and completely unacceptable for a future prince. Your father will be hearing about this, you'll be brought back to the castle this instant. Grab his arms to make sure he doesn't try to get away.
The servant's hands start reaching down to Subaru as he struggles to break away. Their shadows clouded his vision.
Subaru: No I refuse to go back! I don't want to return back to that hell! Don't touch me! I won't go back! I won't go back! LET ME GO!!!!"
*Dream End*
Subaru: "GET AWAY FROM ME!"
Subaru wakes up in a panic, his breathing heavy as his vocal cords strain from his hysteric screech. His eyes darted around the room like a bat out of hell, gathering his surroundings before realizing it was just a nightmare.
Subaru: Fuck...bnot again... no no no... why does this keep happening to me...
Subaru puts his hand over his face, his breathing still harsh but now mixed with the sounds of soft sobbing as tears trickle down his face onto his pajama pants.
In Yui's room during the first few hours before sunrise.
*Scribbles*
Yui: *Stretches* Mm! Ok, I think that's enough studying for tonight. I should start preparing to head to bed.
Yui raises herself off her chair, stretching her arms high above her head, working out the kinks in her wrist and shoulders.
Yui: Ahh~ That felt good, perhaps I should get something to drink before going to bed. It's been a while since everyone turned in for the night so I shouldn't be bothered.
*Pop*
*Time Skip*
With a smile on her face, Yui closes her workbook before placing it in her school satchel. Grabbing a pair of winter pajamas, she made her way to the bathroom to prepare for slumber.
Yui appears from the steamy bathroom with a damped towel around her neck. Her wet locks loosely stick to her face as she attempts to dry her curls.
Yui: *Yawn* Mm...I'm so sleepy, I can't believe I dosed off in the tube, hopefully, these wrinkles will go away before tomorrow night. Anyway, I should head to the kitchen pronto before someone decides they want a midnight snack...
Yui shivered to recall previous nights when she was at the receiving end of someone's meal because she decided to step out of her room without checking if the coast was clear. Not like it mattered too much since the boys liked to infiltrate her room whenever they pleased.
Yui turned into the corridor that led into the kitchen, halting her movements when she hear the tap running.
*Kitchen*
Yui: Ha...guess I spoke too soon. I wonder who could be up at this time? It's probably just Shu-san getting something to drink so he can return back to his rest. Or maybe it's Reiji, he does have a habit of staying up late to work on his experiments. He really should get some more rest.
Cautiously, Yui tipped to the Kitchen door, opening it ever so slightly to avoid alarming the person inside.
Yui's face scrunched up, cringing at the sound the door made once she opened it. Planting her back against the wall, listening out for any movement.
*Creeeaak*
Yui: (Shoot! Why did it have to be so loud, please don't come out here!)
Yui breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the tap water still-
*Woosh*
Subaru: Your not slick dumbass, I could sense your presence even before you came downstairs. Stop lurking like Weirdo and get in here already.
Yui jumped a little once she heard Subaru sleep sleep-ridden voice call out to her. Out of all people, why was he up so late she wondered as she entered the kitchen
Yui: "Subaru? What are you up at this-"
Yui ceased her speech for a second as she took in Subaru's appearance. He looked disheveled; his white locks were damped with what seemed to be sweat that had leaked down to his neck and back. Deep-seated under his bloodshot eyes were dark eye bags that resembled that of his other brother. The expression he wore was that of someone desperate for sleep but couldn't or refused to close their eyes. Immediately, Yui rushed to the youngest vamp, cupping his pale cheeks in her small hands
Yui: Subaru what happened?! You look like you just ran a marathon! Are you alright? Here sit down and I'll get you something to drink!
Subaru slapped Yui's hand away with force, a purple bruise beginning to form on the skin. Yui looked up at Subaru shocked and a little frightened from his sudden actions. He turned his face away, refusing to look at her, but Yui could clearly see the crazed look in his eyes as he gripped his hand
Subaru: Don't...Don't touch me...I'm fine alright. Grab your water and head back upstairs, before Reiji wakes up and yells at the both of us... .
Yui face soured into a hurt expression. Her mind ran with pessimistic thoughts of what could be going on with Subaru. Her instincts act without thought as Yui gets closer to Subaru.
Yui: Subaru...are you alright? Y-You seem frantic and distraught. I know you said not to touch you and head off to bed but...I can't leave you in the state you're in.
Subaru: And just what the hell do you know about the state I'm in huh?!
Yui: W-What? Well I just assumed that-
Subaru: Ha, there you go assuming everything you know because you think you know every little thing going on in my fucking head don't you?!
Yui: Wait, no that's not what I meant! What I was trying to say is that you look a little sickle and I wanted to know if everything was ok.
Subaru: Didn't I just tell you I was fine?! I'm ok so there's nothing to get your panties in a twist about. Just had a rough night's sleep that's all! Now stop pestering me and go back to sleep! Or do I have to personally tuck you in by shoving your comforter up your neck?!"
Yui stepped back as Subaru shouted at her. Her heart wrenched a little at the harshness of his words. Still, she could see that something was very much wrong with him. Despite his threats, she stood her ground
Yui: Maybe you're right Subaru... .
Subaru: Hmph, finally you realized that.
Subaru stayed silent.
Yui: I'm not finished. Maybe you are right about me assuming everything about you. Sometimes I think I know you better than you actually do because of all the time we spent together. I consistently wonder what goes on in that mind of yours. Some days I can figure you out to a T, others, it's like I don't know who you are. It's frustrating not understanding how a person feels because then I don't know if I'm able to help or if they even want my help in the first place... .
Yui: However, when it comes to you, I want to know everything. I want to know every thought running through your head no matter how important or minor they are. I want to know your emotions to understand you better as a person. For you to believe in me to tell me how you feel even when you think it doesn't matter. To share your pain and burdens with me so you no longer have to bear all that weight on your own. I can tell that right now something happened to make you this frenzy. I won't force you to talk to me if you don't want to. Just, please, reassure me that you're ok.
Subaru looked down as Yui spoke, only looking up when she backed away to give him some space. He still remains silent. Yui gave him a sad smile
Yui took a glass of water, chugging it down before turning around to head back upstairs
Yui: You must be tired so I won't keep you from rest. I should probably head off to bed as well. I hope you have a nice sleep Subaru. Sweet dreams.
Subaru: Wait, don't...don't leave. Look, I'm sorry for hitting you, I didn't mean to hurt you I was just... on edge about being touched... .
*Clasp*
Yui turned back to him.
Yui: Do you mind if I ask why? I know you are not comfortable with too much physical affection but what made you so antsy tonight?
Subaru: ... I had a nightmare. I know it probably sounds childish, but honestly, the whole thing in itself was full of childish behavior.
Yui: What was the nightmare about?
Subaru: It was...back a long time ago. I was a young child, maybe around 10. I was running away from the Castle, probably fed up with the place, and wanted to get the hell out of there. Two servants were chasing me, trying to bring me back to that prison. I was able to evade them in the forest if only for a while, until familiars started to track me down which made me start running again. I kept running until I heard a stream of water in the distance. I thought maybe if I went there I would be able to finally escape. I was wrong, my dumbass tripped over a damn branch that sent me flying onto my stomach. I tried to get up those two were able to catch up and restrain me. The dream ended with them trying to bring me back and me, desperately wishing they would get their hands off of me... .
Yui listened attentively, her face trying its best to keep face but slowly, it morphed into a sad frown with small tears welling in the corner of her eyes. Once he finished, Yui stepped closer, raising her arms insinuating if she could hug him.
Subaru: Go ahead.
Without thought, Yui pulled Subaru into a tight embrace, pulling his body close to hers as her hands cascaded up and down the small of his back
Yui: I'm so sorry you had to go through something that horrific. I can't imagine what it was like for a young child to be on the run, fearing for their life wanted that small sliver of freedom. It must've been so hard on you...What did they do once they caught you?
Subaru let himself sink into Yui's embrace, breathing in the cherry blossom scent in her hair, letting him calm down just a little as he nuzzled his face in her blonde tresses
Subaru: I don't remember much, what I do is my mother being absolutely hysterical about my disappearance. She gave me a good slap in the face after shouting at me. I don't even think I felt pain when she did it. I was used to her outbursts so it shouldn't have been anything, but... when I was sent to my room... I remember slumping on the floor and just crying like a baby.
Subaru closed his eyes, his ears filled with sorrowful cries of the girl in his arms. He knew the moment he told her she would ball out of sadness for him. Despite of depressing it was, it made him feel less alone. It felt good to have someone who couldn't share in his pain but also make him feel less of it.
Subaru: Hey...look I'm ok. Back then all I wanted to do was escape the hell I was unfortunately birthed in. I was surrounded by people who either hated my guts or just wanted to use me for their gain. Fucking bastards, sucking up to my father all the time that they forget about their dignity. I'd always thought that during that time, I'd have no one who'd stand up or look out for me. I never choose loneliness. It chose me, and I thought it would stick with me for the longest time. Then you showed up, listen to my problems, and annoyed the crap out of me while also making me feel like the most important person in the world. Even now when I'm being a brat not wanting to share how I feel, you still stick with me. I can't thank you enough for that Yui.

Yui: *sniff* I-I'm so sorry for crying b-but, I'm so proud of you. I remember back when we first met, how you would keep all your emotions inside and refuse to let yourself feel anything but anger. But now, you've grown so much! The transformation is amazing to witness, I couldn't be any more prouder of you. I'm glad I could help you appreciate yourself more. I'll always be there whenever you need me Subaru. You know how much I love you right?"
Subaru grinned softly at Yui, pressing a peck on the top of her cupid's bow.
Subaru: You practically tell me every day. Not that I mind of course. I wouldn't be able to make it this far without you constantly being by my side. I'm not religious and still think the concept of God is stupid, but I pray that we are always together. After all, a King needs his Queen, doesn't he?
Yui nodded her head vigorously, tightly embracing Subaru again, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Yui: Of course he does, just as much as she needs her King.
The two of them spent a couple of minutes, enjoying the silence of the early morning night in each other embraces.
Subaru: Come on, it's about to be morning and I'd rather not burn to a crisp in the sunlight. Let's head off to bed.
Yui: *Yawn* Yeah not to mention we have school too. Would you like to sleep with me tonight?
Subaru smirked, grabbing Yui from under her legs, carrying her to her bedroom
Subaru: As if you had to ask.
Subaru placed Yui in her bed, soon following along, wrapping his arms around her waist. Nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck. As Yui silently breathed in his chest, Subaru whispered in her ear.
*Yui Room*
Subaru: Goodnight my beautiful Queen, see you in our dreams.
*Smooch*

warnings: cussing, mentions of sex at the end, angst but then fluff, hatin' ass ex.
you and jack have been together for almost 6 months now, but it only took him 6 seconds to realize how high maintenance you were.
you loved designer brands and you always kept you hair and nails done so when it was time for you to walk down the red carpet with jack next to you, he knew you wanted to show off.
he was ready to announce yall's relationship and tonight was the big night.
"jack! I need help with my hair, I don't know what to choose" you whined.
jack leaned over your shoulder to look at the options you selected.
" baby you know I love you with your braids, or shit a 30 inch buss down would look good too" she smiled wide.
you frowned.
"fuck you know 'bout a 30 inch buss down?? that wasn't one of the options."
jack laughed and kissed you on your forehead.
"don't get fucked up jack" you said jokingly before booking an appointment to get the wig installed.
"you know I'm fucking with you baby, but it would look great. even tho yo natural hair is my favorite"
he said as he looked in the full body mirror sitting in the corner of the room you and jack shared.
after booking your appointment you slowly walked over to jack and put on your best begging face.
"you know what would go good with my hair?" you asked
"what?
'a new dress and nails, maybe some jewelry and shoes and new makeup!!"
jack turned to look at you.
" you was gon get that anyways mama" he responded.
you hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek.
"thank you baby"
after that yall finished getting ready in silence.
once you both were ready jack took you shopping. he wasn't worried about the price, he just wanted you to be happy.
but he also secretly wanted everyone to know how fucking fine his girl was.
you starting looking for shoes first, then your dress, and make up, and jewelry.
after shopping it was time for your appointment. jack didn't stay because he had to take care of something but you knew it would take a little while for your hair to get done so you didn't mind.
that was until his ex-girlfriend walked in.
she didn't see you at first but you damn sure seen her.
jack had told you stories about his ex. about how she only cared for herself and money.
you loved nice things but you weren't money hungry.
you decided to mind your business but she finally noticed you and had to start some bs.
" oh my god Y/N. you look beautiful" she leaned in for a hug but you moved away
"aww dont be like that, what? mad because jack was with me last night?"
you didn't believe her, you knew she would lie about anything to start some drama
"bitch please, my man left yo nasty ass long ago" you rolled your eyes.
you didn't have time for this hoe and her bullshit.
but then she pulled out her phone and showed you a picture of jack sitting at her house, and sure enough the time stamp proved it was from yesterday night.
you heart dropped
"just thought you should know" that bitch.. his ex said before walking away.
after your hair was done you immediately called jack
"hey baby, I'm right around the corner ill be there soo-"
"what the fuck were you doing with your ex last night?" you cut him off.
you heard his sigh
"y/n listen I was just over there because she needed me to help move her furniture into her new house"
you let out a spiteful laugh
"oh so when she calls, you go running huh? she's not your girlfriend jackman. I don't give a damn if she needed help she should've called someone else! and the fact that you answered when she calle-..."
you took a deep breath
"I don't wanna talk to you right now, ill find a ride. don't bother picking me up."
and with that you hung up. you felt like jack had you looking dumb. your own boyfriend was with his ex and now she's bragging in your face.
you called your best friend to pick you up and take you back to her house, you didn't wanna see jack.
you get ready at her house. even though you were mad at jack, you refused to let him show up to the red carpet alone.
you took an uber which arrived at the same time as jacks.
"Y/N?" he called out to you.
"can we talk?"
you simply nodded and you both walked somewhere more private.
"look I'm so sorry y/n. you're right, she's not my girlfriend and I shouldn't have picked up her call..shit I should've blocked her the day we got together but baby I cant be without you. she's blocked now and I know that doesn't mean much but I'm begging you to forgive me baby."
you looked up at jack.
"I forgive you jackman."
jack pulled you into a kiss and smiled as his arms wrap tightly around your waist
"now lets go mama, cus you look good as hell and once this is over I'm ripping that expensive ass dress off."

I finished the main story of A:FoP last night and I have more thoughts but don't want to spoil anything for anyone who is not there yet so im putting them under the cut again lol. Also a lot of this gets into like general Avatar lore things and not always specifically A:FoP. I just have a lot of thoughts and not a lot of people to talk to about it lmao.

Spoilers for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora under the cut
TEYLAN oh my god my boy. He scared me so bad when he showed up again but I'm so glad he had a hand in stopping Mercer. It felt like such a moment of growth for him finaly setting himself free of his abuser. Poor guy feels so guilty about everything that happened, and I'm very nervous about whenever Nor comes back in future DLC stuff because he still doesn't know that Teylan 'betrayed' them. Especially after everything with Alma.
Speaking of Alma, I have somewhat mixed feelings about her story? Obviously the Sarentu have every right to be pissed at her, I am pissed at her, she used them (and honestly is still using them) to ease her own guilt. What bothers me is the "You will never be one of us" rhetoric? Mostly because it makes me think of Jake and the Sully kids (Lo'ak and Kiri specifically) who all are/look more like Avatars rather than Na'vi. It makes me wonder how the Sarentu would react to them? The situations are very different, Jake gave up almost everything that made him human to live as a Na'vi where Alma has stayed human, albeit unhealthily attached to her Avatar form. Jake worked to earn his place with the Na'vi where Alma is trying to take it from this group of children she has been lying to from the very start.
But more than that, her still talking as if she was a part of their family at the end made me so mad. I don't think Nor had a good reaction to her by any means, stabbing her was definitely not good, and it leaves all of the other humans scared of him but like,,, i'm on his side tbh. His anger is justified, he's just not coping with it in healthy ways. Like at least the Sarentu did shut her down, Alma is not a part of their family by the end, but giving her the grace they did at the end i think was more than she deserved. Idk, I am glad that they are able to be the bigger persons (pun not intended lol) and move forward, I'm just not a fan of forgiving a person who was partially responsible for the murder of your entire family?
Back to Nor. He is such an interesting character to have next to Ri'nela and So'lek. His anger is palpable and it has nowhere to go. He refuses to connect to Eywa again because he feels he has been poisoned by TAP and humans as a whole and it colors everything he does. He copes with his pain by ignoring it until it becomes too much and he snaps.
And then there is Ri'nela, who is also clearly hurt by everything that comes to light about the Sarentu and TAP, but she is so much more reserved about it. She has a really lovely audio log about how she feels the need to set her own emotions aside so she can take care of others and their emotions. You can really tell how much pressure she puts on herself to be that emotional stability for others. Still she works through it and at the very least tries to talk with the Protag about it in a much more healthy way than Nor does.
Compare that to So'lek, who is similarly reserved in is emotions to Ri'nela, but less to protect others and more to protect himself. Hopefully we will get a little more insight into his character with the comics coming out, but So'lek is i think very similar to Nor in a lot of ways. His clan was wiped out in the Great War, and he was the only survivor to not assimilate into another clan, and we can assume, i think, that those other survivors were most likely children and other non-warriors, either too old or unable to fight for whatever reason. He is entirely alone by choice, and he is angry, but he keeps it together.
So'lek sees the bigger picture, he knows that the resistance is the one other group that's actually fighting back (Besides Jake and the Omatikaya), even if its entirely a group of humans, who we can assume he is not terribly fond of in general. He makes a point of saying the RDA is what needs to be removed from Pandora, not humans. He knows how to separate his allies instead of generalizing 'all humans bad', something Nor is implied to struggle with at least a little. That is especially clear when So'lek calls Nor out after he stabs Alma. But that still doesn't negate how angry So'lek is and is capable of being. He says it after HQ is attacked, he is trying not to follow Nor and his rage. He knows that if he has that conversation with Nor, it will be very easy for him to let his rage consume him as well.
Given that Nor is pretty much gone from the game after he stabs Alma, I'm hoping that in the upcoming DLC we get to find him? Maybe he is being an angry loner out on the woods or if he has found other missing TAP students? There are 4 mentioned in game, either by name (Ri'nela asks where two of them, Telisi and Yefti, are at the very start of the game, and 2 more are mentioned in TAP School Records, Okni and Yuayt) Of course they could all have died while the main four were in cryosleep, 15 years have passed and if they werent with that group when Alma saved them, theres no telling what exactly has happened to them. I just think it could be cool for them to pop up and join back up with the Sarentu.
On, like, an entirely different note, the joy it gives me that there are multiple nonbinary characters! Ahh!!! I think right now the only ones are Tsu'kiri from the Aranahe and Okul from the Kame'tire, at least that I have found, but the way that they are handled, I really really love. They are both just people! Existing in the world! As a nonbinary person myself i also really appreciate the game using they/them for the protagonist and letting you flavor your character however you want so that you aren't locked into male/female like so many games tend to do.
Getting into less A:FoP specific and more general lore territory: Something else I found really interesting while digging around on the wiki is that Mokasa is not the Olo'eyktan? He is listed as Anufi's chief advisor, which made him a sort of stand in Olo'eyktan while she was exiling herself, but he isn't actually the Olo'eyktan the way Ka'nat and Nesim are for their respective clans. Even on the wiki, the Olo'eyktan for the Kame'tire is labeled as Unknown. At most we get Okul being named ? Tsakarem? Thats at least what I took from it. But it makes me curious about the other clans and their leadership (also just very curious about them in general lol). There are 16 clans that we know of (that are all still canon) but we really have only really in depth explored 6 of them in the whole series so far. (Just counting the movies and A:FoP right now because I do not have access to the comics or I think the like one? other games that is still canon) Idk im interested in more Olo'eyktan/Tsahik dynamics beyond just mated pairs like we have seen. Like the Zeswa sisters is really cool to me, or father/daughter dynamic with Ka'nat and Etuwa. Obviously, Jake, and later Tarsem, are not mated to Mo'at but there was the intention of Neytiri eventually taking over as Tsahik before the Sully's left, which would have continued the married couple leaders dynamic that we have been seeing.
We also know that Olo'eyktan don't always have to be men (See Nesim for the Zeswa and Ikneyi from the Tayrangi clan that we see in the first film), so then are there examples of male Tsahik somewhere? Okul being presumably named Tsakarem as a nonbinary/gender non-conforming character would imply that on some level, but im curious if we will ever see examples of it.
And finally, somebody has got to let me smooch the characters in this game PLEASE.

Author!!! We know how RO are against puppy eye’s from MC
But how are they to puppy eyes from their baby or toddler?
Cassandra: 5/10 - It does melt her heart and she might bend on small things every now and then; like 15 more minutes before bed. But otherwise she refuses to be pushed around by her kids, she is a strict mom; embodiment of "I'm not your friend, I'm your mom" though she does it 100% out of love.
Valeria: 9/10 - She is the exact opposite of Cass, she is her kids best friend and prefers trying to talk them into doing what they should. But if they look at her all cute and want to stay up all night they can, but that won't stop them from having to wake up early; she would warn them. So, they can do what they want at their own risk.
Tomás: 8/10 - He loves his babies and would die or kill for them no question asked. They are his world and they mostly get what they want from him, but at the end of the day he is a good dad. So there does come times when he has to suck up the pain that feels like a stab in the heart that always comes when he has to deny them what they want, for their own good. The sad puppy eyes only adds more pain, like an extra cannonball through the chest. Definitely hurts him more then them.

Ludovica: 100/10 - Would die before making her babies sad. Her absolute everything right next to MC, I mean; she adores them because they have bits of MC in them (either by blood or personality). Her babies are basically angels sent directly from heaven in her eyes, pure perfection. When she falls in love; she is down bad for MC, she is basically under the ground for her kids.
Aurelio: 9/10 - Also a simp for MC, still a simp for his kids. He would go above and beyond for them, he is also forever the fun parent so any stupid idea the kids want to do will 100% be indulged to some degree. And trust me, as I have said before; any kids of his will be stupid little geniuses just like their father. But he also would make damn sure to make them value what they have, they won't be spoiled and realize just how blessed they are to be given what they have. They use their puppy dog eyes knowing full well that with great power comes great responsibility. They honestly would probably beg their dad to help fun crazy charity ideas and he 100% will and do so very proudly. His financial advisors will be weeping quite profusely though.
Elio: 7/10 - Treats his kids better than most people. Indulges them quite a lot and can be very easily swayed by them. Similarly to Val, he will remind them of consequences of their actions however. "Yeah you can jump on the bed even though MC told you not to, but don't cry when you fall- oh well, there you go. Oh hush now, it can't of hurt that bad. Do you at least see why they told you not to do it now? Don't get mad at me when your the one who did it, quit crying and we can get some sweets before MC gets home. I won't tell them if you don't."

Angst story where reader makes Shuri mad cause I seen a lot talking abt reader being mad
Angst one-shot
Nakia joined Shuri on the sand. They shared soft smiles.
“Now is the time that you tell me why you’re really here, aside from seeing your nephew,” the older of the two spoke.
Shuri looked slighted. “There’s gotta be another reason?” She received a knowing expression in response. “I can’t just be a good aunt?”
Nakia chuckled. Shuri had in fact been spoiling Touissant with gifts and quality time. There was an unmistakable bond between them that grew each week.
“It’s not about your aunt duties. It’s about you not mentioning Y/N. I haven’t heard you say anything about her all day.”
“It’s only been a day…” Shuri backed down, however, when Nakia gave her a smirk that said she wasn’t buying any of it. “Okay, fine. We had a fight—not a physical one, you can relax. But the short of it is, she thinks I don’t want her to have a life.”
“Hmm?” Nakia was wildly confused. That didn’t sound right at all.
“Yeah,” Shuri said, sighing. “She calls herself paying me back for working long hours by going out every weekend. All I said was you can’t cancel this one thing just to have dinner with me? Do I need to start scheduling dates with you in advance? Because you’re always booked!”
Flashback to Yesterday
“Now, you know you have a lot of nerve, Shuri. You are the one who is always booked in that damned lab! On the weekends I want to do more than cuddle. I want to go out! I want to have a good time with my friends, meet people, and be outside! You never want any parts of it, so I made it easier for both of us. But the one time you do want to go out, I’m supposed to drop everything?”
Shuri could hardly believe what she was hearing. “I didn’t know wanting to take my girlfriend out would be such an inconvenience for you. Have you not been going to the club and parties for weeks straight? Every time I asked you if wanted to do something, what did you say? You already had plans. Damn, you can’t fit me in for one Saturday?”
“No, what about all the Saturdays you had me thinking we were going out only to flake! The Saturday you just so happened to finally want to be social with your girlfriend, I said my friends were having their housewarming…-“
“Which thanks for asking me if I wanted to come!”
“Shuri, how many times did I invite you to things and you never wanted to go? Unless if it’s your event or something, you’re never interested. At the end of the day, all you care about is that stupid lab.”
You could see that you had now struck a nerve in Shuri. She stood from her chair with so much force that it railed against the wall. “Take that back.”
You shook your head with a scornful laugh. “That’s my entire point, it’s all you care about!”
“No, the lab is all you care about. You can’t keep it out your mouth and you are letting it ruin us!” She pointed angrily.
“You don’t get to put this on me! If you knew you wouldn’t have time or wanna have time for a relationship, you should have never entered into one.”
“No, maybe, I should have never entered into one with you.”
That almost knocked you over but you refused to crumble before her. Instead you decide to hit her back. “You may find someone else, but they too will eventually see that dating the Queen of Wakanda is not all it’s cracked to be.”
End flashback
Nakia gasped. “She said that?”
Shuri put on a smile as she sniffled and quickly wiped her eyes.
“You know she didn’t mean that,” Nakia tried to assure. “She’s only ever spoken highly of your relationship, and happiness doesn’t lie. That was the hurt talking. I mean, you did suggest that you shouldn’t have gotten with her.”
“I…I think I really messed up, Nakia.”
Toussaint took a break from his friends, staring at his aunt who was clearly emotional and being consoled by his mother.
He raced over there. “Aunt Shuri, who did this to you?”
Nakia smiled at her son. “She got some sand in her eye…” she answered when Shuri took a beat.
“Don’t insult my nephew’s intelligence like that,” Shuri found her voice.
“Yeah, mama, I can tell that it’s something serious,” Touissant agreed. “I ask again, who.did.this.to.you?" His stare was unwavering on the princess while she gazed at him in awe.
“Your father would be so proud of you.” She smiled as he embraced her tightly, huffing out a laugh when he pointed out that she and Nakia tell him this daily. She patted for him to sit down. “Don’t give us any reasons not to. But, little man, sometimes couples get into disagreements, and I am in one now.”
“With Y/N? Tomorrow is not promised, so try to make it right today.”
Shuri and Nakia exchanged looks.
“Please don’t cry again,” Touissant groaned.
“We won’t cry, we will listen,” Nakia replied, casting a look at Shuri and holding her hand.
A tearful Shuri nodded with a smile that held promise. The three family members went indoors and Shuri excused herself to the room she’d been staying in. Her leg bobbed up and down as she considered how she wanted to approach this conversation. You had made her so angry. But more than anything, you made her sad. And this wasn’t normally so. Typically, you brought an unrivaled joy to her life.
You were the reason that the love songs she’d been singing along to for years were now her reality. You were the partner she wanted to build with, grow old with, and possibly have a Touissant of your own with. It wasn’t always Wakanda that motivated her. You also were her boost.
When Shuri felt a little more at ease about having this conversation, she called you. She was bit surprised when you answered off the first ring. “Hi Y/N.”
“Hi Shuri. Are you well?”
“I am okay, I am still with Nakia and Touissant.”
“I know you know this already, but I’m home.”
“I thought you’d be at your friend’s mother’s birthday party.”
“I didn’t feel up to it.”
Shuri didn’t have to guess why. This was confirmation that you were just as affected by this mess between you. “Baby, I’m sorry. I did one of the things I hate, which is to speak so freely when I am frustrated, but the truth is, you are the only one I want to be with. I can’t even entertain the thought of being with another.”
You smiled to yourself at her heartfelt admission. “I knew you didn’t mean those things, however, it still hurt to hear you say them. But I think that was both our intention in that moment, to hurt each other. I want to apologize too. I should’ve never called your lab stupid. I know your lab and the work you do overall is important to you. It’s important to me too. And honestly, it’s one of the reasons I fell for you. Not necessarily because you’re Queen—an amazing one at that, but I love being with someone who values their country. It’s beautiful to see. And I want you to feel supported by me, not stressed. When I was going crazy over not seeing you as much, it’s only because that’s how much I like having you around, that’s how special you are to me…”
Your words soothed Shuri, calming her, making her feel you in her bones. “Y/N, you are so precious, and yes, I am passionate about my duties and leadership, but that does not mean that I should take you for granted. You are so good to me, and I need to do a better job of appreciating you. I know you are just as much as a prize, but no one can have you but me.”
“You know I love it when you get territorial,” you said, amusing her.
“I love it when you tell me what you love about me.” Her voice was a touch lower but closer.
“Are you flirting with me Shuri Udaku?”
She laughed. “Is it working? Because I want to take you out on a date. And then I want to have fun afterwards, at any place of your choosing.”
“Just tell me what time I should be ready.”
Shuri smiled like she did the first time you held conversation. She could not make it home to you soon enough.

Drama Gossip: The Spirealm (致命游戏)

It started off peculiarly; first, his domestic cat refused to let him cuddle it. Lin Qiushi soon found that a sense of disharmony and incongruity began to pervade everything around him. Then, one odd day, he pushed open a door, and he discovered that the hallway he was familiar with turned into a boundless corridor. At both ends of this corridor were twelve, identical iron gates. Thus, the story began.

Action, Adventure, Augmented Reality? Sign Me Up!
I do not consume everything that has the 'entering a virtual game with real life consequences' plot-line but when I do, I more or less will enjoy them. The Spirealm is exactly that plot-line and after just finishing 19th Floor (another Chinese drama with similar concept), I was expecting more and hoping for lesser disappointment.
This drama did not disappoint at all. Lets first talk about the roles and the cast. Brilliant job on the casting, everybody pulled off their role so wonderfully, it felt like they were made for their roles. As for the characters these actors portrayed, wow. I haven't been obsessed with a fictional Chinese character in such a long time but Ruan Lan Zhu is so easy to be obsessed with. The writing was brilliant because I very quickly grew attached to the main people and when shit hit the fan, yeah, I felt everything as if I was a part of them.
Spoilers going on from here so if you haven't watched the show, go and watch it now, please?
As I was saying, I was so attached to some of the characters, I really, wow... Say Li Dong Yuan first. I actually already was spoiled with his death, I even knew which door was going to cause his death yet when it happened, I physically gasped. Then his farewell scene came about and goodness gracious, Xiao Zhuang's reaction was absolutely heart-wrenching. It really did not help that right before getting stabbed, the door Dong Yuan went through for Ling Ling was one of the most entertaining and comedic doors.
After that Zao Zao's death? She was already trying her best in the real world, she tried her best in the spirealm. She gave one of the best speeches ever. Yet that chandelier... I never hated chandeliers as much as I do now.
That's the thing about The Spirealm. This show has plenty of heartbreaking scenes but at the same time, it has a bunch of hilarious scenes too. You really can go from laughing one second and then depressed the next. Exactly like when Cheng Yi Xie sacrificed himself for his brother? One second I was laughing at Lan Zhu begging for Ling Ling's forgiveness and suddenly I was pissed but before I could even get real mad, I was hit with a broken heart. This may sound like a complain but the roller coaster of emotions made this drama ten times more interesting than other dramas.
Moving on to the game or doors or levels (however you want to call them). I really, really enjoy shows with this concept but many a times, the stakes just aren't high enough. Not The Spirealm though. I mean, look at Dong Yuan, Zao Zao and Yi Xie. They are part of the main leads and that world did not go easy on them. As much as I hate that they died, I really appreciated the high stakes in this drama. It made watching the show so much more worth it.
Anyhow, despite thoroughly enjoying this drama, I have so many questions. First things first, did I miss the significance of the necklace Lan Zhu gave Ling Ling during the first door?

I may be someone who loves an ambiguous ending but if the theory that everything was not real is in fact real, I hate it. Yet, everything being a part of Ling Ling's dream or "hallucination" does make sense, as much as I hate it. Remember where Ling Ling walked into upon completing the first door? He entered the door in the middle of the road and exited it into his house? The discrepancies started right from the beginning. Which (if I did not miss anything) might explain the lack of significance behind the necklace. It will also explain why Ling Ling's time between each door is never long yet Wu Qi's not worried about his next door when he witnessed Dong Yuan's death? Or that Chen Fei's advancement is so much slower than Ling Ling. Furthermore, I'm supposed to believe the crew learnt about a mysterious man who helped Xiong Qi reunite with Xiao Ke in the spirealm and they did not investigate more?
I really do hate the everything was not real theory but I also cannot deny it's the most reasonable one. There was another theory I chanced upon on Douyin a while back and have since forgotten most of the information. However, I like that theory a lot even though it was quite farfetched. Long story short, the user theorised that after Lan Zhu walked into the portal and cleaned the program, Ling Ling woke up and regained consciousness after being hit, right? That's not reality but the 12th door and the door god for this last door is Lan Zhu. That was all I remember but the user did provide explanations and timestamps for their theory and upon reading it, it did make sense too. Therefore, if I ever come across that video again, I will link it here.
In the meantime, let's wallow in the conclusion of The Spirealm. It was a quick and short ride but an extremely memorable one.

Satine Kryze did not cause Mandalore's downfall.
Maul and the Death Watch did, and they did so with cruelty because they made Obi-Wan watch helplessly as Maul murdered her.
She chose to LIVE IN PEACE because it is the right of people to live in peace. She didn't illegally obtain power. The other Houses entrusted her with Mandalore's safety.
It was the terrorist minority that had a problem with her. Satine refused to bow to terrorists.
Because war is not natural. War is not fun. War is pain and loss and a man-made creation of mass destruction.
Satine was so strong in her convictions that entire star systems made her the leader of their council of neutral systems because she was able to give her citizens the access to the peaceful life they deserved. She refused to let Mandalore's legacy become one remembered only for its bloodshed and violence. She knew she would probably end up being killed for her beliefs, but she stood up to every single person who told her that picking a side was the only way to peace when she and Mandalore were already living proof that it was possible to do that without Republic interference.
She died refusing to give in to all the men who tried to scare her into joining their side, and when she died on the blade of the darksaber after it fell into the hands of the angriest being in the galaxy, she still died with love and conviction in her heart. Her final words were not "avenge me". Her final words were "I've loved you always. I always will."
The other Mandalorians were right to trust her, not because she used fear and power to intimidate but rather love and compassion to give Mandalore the tools it needed to thrive.

She carried a deactivator, not a blaster. She defended herself even though she chose to carry a weapon only meant to neutralize. Her guards existed to neutralize threats. Not kill them.
What does it say about a person who thinks Satine deserved her fate because she refused to arm herself instead of looking at the person who murdered her? What does it say about yourself if you think a person deserves to die because they refused to arm themselves with a lethal weapon in the first place?

Not to get political, but Death Watch and MAGA are basically the same. Spoiled brats who believed they should have inherited the throne based on blood rather than qualifications, and really mad to know they are in the minority of people who don't want peace.
A bunch of men repeatedly trying to kill the woman who has proven time and time again that hope is stronger than fear.
She proved that it's possible to live peacefully if people would learn to just stop fucking killing each other, and she is not wrong for choosing to give that small bit of comfort to the others who survived the Mandalorian civil war.
The people chose her because they trusted her to take care of them. And she did. For almost 20 years. She cared about what the people wanted and she chose to give them exactly that for as long as she could.
She didn't make them forget their history. She reminded them that they don't have to live the same way for the rest of their lives. It's okay to put down the weapons and it's okay to want peace. That's not a weakness at all. It takes strength maintain a light like that for as long as she did.

I agree!! aftermaths are ALWAYS my favourite to read during forced pregnancy stories and I actually hate when it ends with the yandere impregnating darling like how do u know if she truly got pregnant? where’s the horror in finding out you’re carrying your rapist’s child(ren)? how does reader deal with that? how does the yandere react to that? (I’m sure he knows but finding out the news from you yourself would surely elicit different emotions) how does he react when you say you wanna get rid of it? how do they both cope as parents? sooo many possibilities!! I’m glad to know the story I requested will not end with epel just impregnating darling!! thank you sm for that <3

ALL the freaking possibilities! The machinations of the yandere's mind when the baby-trapping (consensual or not) isn't received well is bound to be endlessly fascinating. Idk, stories work well sometimes if you let the reader imagine the hopelessness of a situation, but they work even better if you showcase it.
I'm putting the other stuff under a cut because I'm about to go on a bit of a tangent. Also, I have not read book seven yet, if anyone spoils it, I will temporarily block you until after I have read it.
I ranked Epel a C the first time because I didn't know anything about him at the time, almost every character save for the ones I really loved the designs for were lower than I would put them today, and frankly some were higher. I've done another tier list, this is not the old one. I have a pretty high opinion of most of the characters regardless of their ranking, here's the maker I used.
Okay, so, I feel the need to specifically explain Crewel: I don't like being treated like a dog. Pet play is not my thing, and I do not understand the hype surrounding him whatsoever. Why would I want to hang out with someone who probably smells like a really strong, expensive cologne and refuses to call me anything other than "good boy"? No thanks, y'all can have him. Crowley is self-explanatory.
Riddle, Silver, and Lucius all have their good qualities, I will admit. But I'm the type of person who would avoid both of the people for varying reasons (Riddle is annoying, I don't like being bothered when I'm minding my own fucking business because I'm "breaking the rules" and I don't want to wake up Silver and I don't know enough about him,) and I would get irrationally mad at Lucius for always getting into fights with Grim.
C tier is somewhat similar to D for me. I'd very likely not go out of my way to interact with these guys, but they're either more approachable or less irritating than D tier. I'm sure you can see a trend with at least two of them, but most of these mfs are too high energy or too intense. Sebek is here because while I don't like petplay, I do like degradation and I think he would be excellent at that, given his usual temperament and opinion on humans. Deuce is there because I find him to be a very one-note character. Everyone in this game is well-written, but not everyone can be interesting. Trein is here because I know I'd be constantly getting in trouble in his class for drawing instead of paying attention. By the way, when did people who were 50 become old? Idk I consider old to be like 70+ but maybe that's just because of the people I grew up around.
B tier is characters that I am aware I am sleeping on, with the bonus of Vargas, who I actually like quite a bit. Not enough to put him in higher than B tier, though. Ortho and Idia are sort of a package deal, but I do like Ortho less than I like Idia. Azul pisses me off but I am a sucker for a pathetic man.
EPEL!!! THE ONE WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!! Epel is like Deuce, if Deuce had more of a twisted view of himself. Reading though his little dilemma in book 5 didn't make me sympathize, but it did endear him to me. I can understand getting upset because you are literally unable to express yourself in a way that you would like because of reasons outside of your control. Beyond that, I love it when characters have a secret rough side (sorry Deuce.) Two-faced characters are my favorite thing.
A tier is characters I would like to put in S but I am too scared of them to do so. While C and lower are characters I would avoid because they're annoying, A tier is literally just characters I would avoid because they're freaky. I think people forget that the first interaction we have with Leona is him threatening to beat the shit out of us because we accidentally tripped on his tail. While Trey is sweet, he's the absolute definition of a two-faced character and he's way too observant to be comfortable around. Idk, maybe that makes him boyfriend material. I feel like anyone who has been on this blog at this point already understands my viewpoint of Jade, Floyd, and Rook. They scare the mess out of me and I love them for that.
With S tier, I'm actually going to specify a couple things: Sam is up there because I know I'd constantly be in his shop, buying things with thaumarks I should save just because I know his shop would smell like home. I feel like where a lot of people see Sam and think "this man can FUCK," I see Sam and think "big brother material." The sibling that I am closest to is literally just barely a year younger than Sam. Also, to clarify, I'm Black with family from the south. Grim is also sibling material. He's like a little brother, and I love him for that even though he pisses me off.
Now back to the WHORE KNEE. I very desperately want to bring my personal Vil series to this blog. I think maybe someone else would enjoy it, because what's more lovely than a man who sees what he wants in a person that isn't what he wants but forces to be what he wants anyway? I love that shit. Lilia is prime fodder for coercion fics, and I'd love to see more of those because he's very wise (because he's old as hell) and he's had a lot of practice at being a sweet talker. I think with a gullible reader?? Oh my god??? I'm not shy about my opinion on Malleus, Jamil, and Idia, and I think I talk about Idia a bit too much. Jamil stole my heart from the minute he was all sweet and kind in book 4 because he is so obviously two-faced that only the overly trusting would fall for that. Also, Jafar was something of an awakening for me. Who cares about Aladdin? I want the old man. As for Malleus, I like that he fills out the gap moe trope, but not overly so. He absolutely strikes me as the type to assume he knows best for both parties involved, and if he doesn't assume, he decides for you.
Anyway, knowing me, this list will have switched all over the place in a month's time. Thanks for reading my garbled nonsense.

Kilmeny will not marry Eric because she is mute, so Eric starts thinking about if there is a way to cure her muteness. He asks Janet Gordon if they have ever taken Kilmeny to a doctor. She says no, Margaret wouldn't hear of it. Thomas wanted to, when Kilmeny was young, but it was forbidden and everyone bowed to Margaret's every whim.
Margaret Gordon sounds like she terrorized the entire household, to be honest. Janet said a couple chapters ago that she did her best to shield her from sorrow, but I think perhaps the result was that Margaret was simultaneously smothered and spoiled and made it everyone's problem. No wonder Kilmeny is so good at reading shifting moods.
We then learn that there is more to the story of Margaret Gordon than Mrs. Williamson (hey, remember her? Been a hot minute since we heard about her, now that Janet has taken on the role of kindly elderly female dispenser of plot and wisdom. Her name is Elizabeth, by the way.) Anyway, there is more to the story than Mrs. Williamson knew. When Margaret came home after her marriage fell apart, her father was terribly angry. He hadn't wanted her to marry Ronald Fraser, but she did anyway. And her father "called her a hard name".
There's been some discussion about what that name was -- I saw suggestions of whore, harlot, and jezabel, all of which seem plausible. And Margaret refused to say a word in response to this, even after he realized he had been cruel and apologized and asked her forgiveness. And Margaret refused to speak another word to anyone from that moment until after Kilmeny was born. She also spent all her time sitting in her room staring at the wall.
So, you know, doing well!
When her father is dying, he begs her to come to him one last time. She refuses, and so he has Thomas and Janet bring him to her. He says he cannot go meet his dead wife (her mother) until their daughter has forgiven him for calling her such a dreadful name. He begs and pleads and prays and she refuses to speak a single word to him. Her stubbornness has become a curse, forcing her to stay silent even when -- as she tells Janet later -- she wanted to speak. But she did not. And he died, unforgiven.
Kilmeny was born soon after, and the love and magic of motherhood melted the curse and Margaret spoke again. But it was too late, she could never forgive her father now, and when she realized Kilmeny wasn't going to talk she went half mad thinking this divine retribution for her sin of silence. As Janet puts it, "Kilmeny can't speak because Margaret wouldn't."
So there's a lot to unpack here. Most obviously, this is the culmination of the whole 'Kilmeny has only ever existed as an extension of her mother' theme we've been working. It's also another example of the way that women are only ever supporting characters to the men in their lives -- Margaret's sin was specifically that she wouldn't forgive her father. That stubbornness then cursed her daughter.
But we move on swiftly from that to Eric's favorite activity: not taking no for an answer. He says they will send for David Baker anyway, and will have him examine Kilmeny and also tell him an edited version of the story so that he has all the facts. Janet agrees -- again, we aren't asking Kilmeny's permission here -- presumably because she's realized that arguing with Eric will only lead to more tedious arguing with Eric and that he, unlike you, has nothing better to do with his day than argue this point.
Eric does, at least, tell Kilmeny of his plan, and we end the chapter with the following exchange:
But a rosy glow of hope flashed over Kilmeny’s face when Eric told her what he meant to do.
“Oh, do you think he can make me speak?” she wrote eagerly.
“I don’t know, Kilmeny. I hope that he can, and I know he will do all that mortal skill can do. If he can remove your defect will you promise to marry me, dearest?”
She nodded. The grave little motion had the solemnity of a sacred promise.
“Yes,” she wrote, “when I can speak like other women I will marry you.”
Four chapters left. Let's see how much more ridiculousness we can cram into four chapters before our inevitable ending point!

They also said David was right that he and Ellie have a violent heart and then compared Joel to him like a parallel. Like its purely to justify the second game/season beacuse he knows audiences wont receive it well in the first one.
Like its not in the first season beacuse it would ruin the story which is why they try so hard to justify their position to trick us into thinking seeds of violence were planted when they clearly weren't. If anything the actual show makes the second game look even MORE unrealistic.
And Neil recently reaffirming he does not care for people who dislike the second game. Like im sorry thats not a valid opinion he unironically based this game around Palestine and cycles of aggressive violence and promoted it through sabatoging beloved characters in favour of his new actual facist fave youre forced to play.
A good game is not devisive amongst the fanbase like the sequel was. Thats bad. And I think he will be in for a rude awakening at the reception to season 2. Beacuse general audiences will watch the show more then go out and play a game. Gamers paid already it doesnt matter if we stop playing half way through.
But TV shows with audience drop offs are much more brutal for a shows reception.
The amount of people already who refuse to tune in for a future season just from what ive seen on here is staggering.
Its a bad, brutal, punishing story with no mercy. And it'll be an even worse show.

I find it intersing making Ellie more used to violence (or using violence) in the TV series - of course she is a girl who's grown up in a miliatry school in a post-apocalypse, so it would make sense for her to be used or more ready to utilise violence in terms of survival. But I don't like the idea that she is violent like David is, or comparing his version of violence to Ellie's (or Joel's, for that matter) because its totally different - especailly as neither of them seek violence as a way of abusing people or to gain power like David most certainly does.
When I think of Ellie I don't think of her having a "violent heart" I think of her as a scared and yet feirce girl. I think the only thing David ever got right about her was that she is very loyal. I'd say that she has a loyal heart and one that puts loyalty into people who she cares deeply about & that show her that she can trust them/that they won't abandon her/that they can protect her.

Its intersting to hear Neil said that, I haven't seen much about what the creators have spoken about since the first game came out (/little snippets from the podcasts), to be honest, but its very disheartening. (And as a writer myself, I can't imagine having that perspective or lack of thought for fans by saying something like that publicly!)
I could go on about how I don't trust a lot of the men involved in this story (Pedro excepted ofc), for the way they treat David, like he's not an obvious predator, and how I didn't like that Joel doesn't intercept Ellie during the restaurant scene, but I'd just end up getting mad! ^^' and on top of that, the mentioned narrative that Ellie is 'forever changed' by what happens to her in her run-in with David & his cannibal crew (according to Craig/Neil). I've always taken issue with such things, as much as Ellie is a wondeful well-fleshed out female queer character (mad props to Ashley Johnson for being pivotal with that <3); and it makes me feel that tlou 2 was just made to be a rug-pull type story (as has been used in GoT and TWD) like 'oh you thought this? haha, well think again! your fave is dead because of tragedy!' --> its edgy for the sake of being edgy and missed out on being a meaningful additon to the first game & DLC and its themes...
I'm thinking the same, that the second season is going to be just as divisive - all the people who haven't been spoiled by the gameplay etc., are going to have a similar rude awakening to fans when tlou part 2 was released, and I don't think they'll get the reception they were hoping for (but then again, perhaps the writers don't care?). BUT it'll probably affect viewership dramatically, especiallly if (as I've heard other fans say) that they will sequence it much like in the game where it jumps back & forth in time/perspective (meaning *spoilers* - Joel 💀 in the first half of the series, most likely). I just can't fathom that going down well with general audiences. That's a recipe for a tv series bomb if ever I saw one.

Its probably kinda bad I do partly want the second season to bomb, isn't it? 😅 don't get me wrong, I love the first game/season, and the actors etc who've worked on it - but I just have so much issues with how they've handled the story since then/their interpretations of it, like I do with a lot of other tv series/tv in general right now, that I would just feel pure justified satisfction from it if it did!

Asra has not just one familiar but now he has two! He has an otter familiar along with faust and luckily they get along very well, you love his familiars especially the otter, sometimes Asra would catch the otter clinging to mc's waist and cuddling with them, sometimes they would watch Mc walk around the shop with their otter familiar attached to their waist hugging them and cuddling them, they would think it's so cute, if he can't find them then he knows where to look first the most cutest thing he saw was him walking in on Mc and his otter asleep on the couch all cuddled up together, if this was modernized then he would have an album full of pictures of mc and his otter familiar together.

Julian already has malak who's pretty crazy and wild so having a familiar that is usually calm and cuddly is new to him, having a familiar is also new to him but that was also because he didn't know that Malak was his familiar either, but when he ended up getting an otter familiar then he was actually pretty confused but thrilled at the same time, one time he freaked out because his familiar went missing, when he went to ask mc if they've seen them he would walk in on the most cutest thing ever, his newest familiar and Mc were curled up in a chair asleep if this was modernized then he would take a picture, every time you walk around the shop or the clinic he would see his familiar clinging to your waist nuzzling into your side giving you little hugs, he thought they loved them more then he but he then just realized his familiar is just very cuddly towards you and loves giving you sweet little hugs.
Lucio
He would be extremely surprised that he got a familiar but he would be pretty disappointed that it isn't a dog of any kind, but he would actually be happy and would brag about how awesome he is that he got one for the first time, he would spoil them rotten. When he wanted to show his familiar the new collar he got them he couldn't find them till he ended up bumping into you just to see his familiar wrapped around your waist, he gasped feeling hurt thinking that his very first familiar would leave him for his love, but when Mc told him about how they ended up waking up to their familiar attached to their waist and couldn't get them off, ever time their walking around lucio would be jealous of his own familiar because he wishes he could wrap himself around you like that but when you two sleep then gets his way and sleeps clinging to you all night when his familiar gets to cling to you all morning, it's a win win.
Muriel
He would honestly be pretty confused on how he ended up getting an otter as a familiar when he has Inanna he thought he only needed Inanna but getting his new familiar was great, Inanna wasn't sure of how to feel about sharing with another animal but after a while she got use to having them around and loves to play with the new friend, when Mc comes around muriel would be happy to see his new familiar getting along well with them if you end up falling asleep his new otter familiar would cling to you and refuse to let go as if they were protecting you knowing that you mean alot to Muriel, and this would make Muriel happy and a tad jealous because he wishes he could cling to you like that but he would also be scared he would hurt you so he keeps it to himself, when Mc is walking around in the forest and the otter can't keep up, they would wrap themselves around their waist and cling to them, hugging them and cuddle them, muriel would just melt at the sight of this, its to much for his pure little heart.
Nadia
She would be delighted to see that she got such a creature as a familiar but she would have to hope that Chandra would get along well with the new little friend, if you ever come by you would be happy that she got another new friend especially if it's a familiar you would love to play with them every chance you get when your at the palace, however you ended up getting a bit to close with the familiar because they ended up loving you and started to cling to your waist every chance it gets, it then gets harder and harder to say no to the little guy because if it wants to cling to you it'll give you adorable pleading eyes which you can't ever say no to so now every time you study they wrap themselves around you, when you walk they wrap themselves around you, you sleep they wrap themselves around you, it's a cuddle party now with nadia and her new familiar, she doesn't mind, she thinks it's cute and would love the chance to get to see her familiar and mc get along more.
Portia
She would be extremely thrilled that she ended up getting an otter as a familiar she would take care of it very well and if Julian ever makes short jokes then she would have them attack him or have them hide in the bathtub to give him a fright, Mc would be the first person to find out about her new familiar and one time when she went to make a batch of special cookies to celebrate for her new familiar, but when she walked back into the living area she saw that mc had fallen asleep with her otter familiar attached to their waist, she almost cried at the sight it was so cute! Ever since that day she's been seeing her familiar attach themselves and cuddle Mc every chance they can get when Portia was busy working at the palace, they loved that her lover and her familiar were getting along well and were the best of friends.

ahhhhhhhhh thank u for answering the ask! tho there isn't a plot yet, i enjoyed it quite a lot and found it funny that cat!akane is still an asshole to everyone but i think he had a soft spot for aoi and the minamotos and i still wonder where hanako got this formula of turning people into cats and nene being willing to go along so far hmmmmm
but back to terukane – i had this nonsense thought of where some people can see the human-turned-to-cats' human parts like how teru felt someone grabbing him from behind, a legit human hand, and when he turned around real fast he just saw their little cinnamon pawing/clawing at him to get his attention with a wtf u doing look
like idk how this nonsense thought is hilarious to me because while it might be cute and how terukane fell in love with each other because they are vulnerable to each other, it is also how teru might start thinking that holy shit am i a furry lover?? at first and along those lines bwahahahahaahahh
but i also wonder how akane managed to resist his cat instincts? was it out of spite?, a strong will and determination and being stubborn? or was he blessed from a deity like kako who is the god of something? or it could be the first two ahhhahahahahahhahahh

(Cat Akane AU part 1)
Akane only went to the hotsprings once, able to understand that even though his body is already fully cat, another bath in the cursed water would make his situation even worse, and he refuses to lick himself, so he always takes a bath on the bathroom sinks, feeling cold and miserable and dry on the sun without brushing himself. His hair is a spiky mess because of it.
Akane still has plenty of cat urges though, which he will indeed resist by pure spite. The first days are the worst. He’ll bite himself when he as much as thinks about chasing a bird, he’ll walk on back paws when he has the energy for it, he’ll end up in high places and feel an incredible urge to jump to the ground, but he goes “shut the fuck up, I would rather die” and nearly fucks up his leg climbing down vertical stairs instead. He refuses to eat the cat food Nene and Tsukasa always leaves for the ‘strays’, even if human food is far harder to get his paws on. He does get used to walking on all four, scratching people and falling of high places but he sees it as his human capability to adapt not a lost to the curse, still overthinking on a daily, refusing to stay still and laze around with the other cats even when he is tired, and not tolerating pets. If you use a baby voice on him, he’ll make sure you won’t be able to have babies.
He is too stressed, spiteful, and proud for this curse to win.
Meanwhile, since Aoi-chan is stressed, she will visit the Cat House once a week, hoping they got news on her missing friend. They obviously lie to her that there is no news, but she still visits this house in the middle of nowhere, cause she likes the copper cat. It baffles everyone that “the cat from hell”. as Mitsuba calls him, will become the sweetest cat you’ve ever seen when Aoi visit, he’ll let her pick him up and purr on her arms, gently pat her cheek and nuzzle her neck when she is sad as well. He isn’t even mad when Aoi says “You’re a good kitty, can I name you Coin?” cause if boping her nose makes her stress diminish, happy he liked the name, he’ll immediately take it as the best nickname possible. Her weekly visits are also the only brushing he gets, even though he heavily discourage her with very gentle bites that are mistaken for him being playful, his touch starved self feeling awkward and embarrassed to be spoiled like that.
Akane bite Nene's hand when she mistakenly thinks he likes the name as it is and tries calling him Coin all softly like Aoi in an attempt to pet him. Poor Nene really wants to pet him, but her cat treats trails don’t work, and sweet words only make Akane look at her in disgust. She is being bullied by a cat, Hanako and Mitsuba always laughs at her for it, even though Hanako's eager attempts to befriend Akane always end in far more violence.
The idea of Teru feeling a human touch at random is so awkward but so funny, I can only picture him in a bar drinking his dread away and getting so drunk he whines to a bartender about it, being given a judgemental look “When was the last time you dated someone? Go get laid, you sad and lonely man.”
But I am too much of a cliche fan to go for it, I love the idea of Teru learning that his pal Cinnamon is a person, but not fully getting it until Akane turns into a very cute boy with a very cute mocking smirk and expressive hands and wow, maybe he has a crush.
Teru just stares in their first proper meeting cause he is gay panicking over having slept in the same bed as a cute boy and sharing his dinner with him and so on, so on, but Akane's view doesn’t change too much. The first thing this blunt boy, who is almost a full head shorter than Teru, says once he’s a human is “oh wow, you’re so small now, sir.” cause Akane is used to Teru being a giant that can carry him on his shoulders. He does find it weird to be able to casually look at Teru’s face though, it used to be something he only got to see properly when they went to sleep next to each other (Akane hasn’t slept in a bed in ages, when Teru offer to share his bed, Akane goes ‘fuck it, I miss having pillows’) or a view he only got if he suffered the humiliation of being picked up like a fucking baby, blinded by the urge to claw Teru’s eyes until the bastard let him go to properly appreciate the view.
So Akane thinks he is very beautiful. But it doesn’t change his respect for the guy, or that Teru is as competent as he is unbearable.
Both get used to the change, finding it easy to talk to each other. Teru finds it super cute how he could detect some of ‘Cinnamon’ habits in Akane’s face. He does need to try to get used to when Akane pats his cheek from habit to shut him up, and it feels far bigger than a little paw. Warm and human.
Aoi is happy to see him again! After four weeks of Akane going missing, she had been expecting the worst, sure no one could keep her stubborn friend quiet for so long, so she swallowed her pride and hugged him tightly, not letting go for three full minutes.
