Target's buyer brand persona is a young and trendy customer with style, who cares about quality while still wanting to find a good deal. Target does a great job of using inclusive models of all sizes, abilities, sexualities, and ethnicities in their advertisements. Because Target targets a young and trendy audience, I would recommend they invest more in social media marketing rather than traditional TV commercials or mail ads.

I have an idea for a marketing campaign Target could try, encouraging customers to buy products in 7 different colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) and offering a free beverage at their Starbucks as a prize. It would be a rainbow scavenger hunt. There could be other themes, like a food from each food group to emphasize healthy eating or a book from a certain number of genres to encourage reading. Interactive shopping with tangible rewards would be fun. Starbucks successfully uses similar techniques, rewarding stars (points) which are redeemable for menu-items and merchandise.

Target's desired audience is young and trendy people who want to have fun. Why not make shopping at Target a weekly game?

Easy Scavenger Hunt for $25,000 in Free Money

Douglas Vandergraph continues his journey of teaching others how to accomplish their dreams and goals by bringing some fun to the normal Success Conversation today. Douglas mentions that Dave Cline and John Maxim created "Utah Treasure Hunts" back in 2020. They self-funded the adventures up until this year and have hidden a treasure chest somewhere in the Salt Lake area worth $25,000 to the person - or people - who find it. They give a series of clues with a poem, then add hints along the way until someone finds it. And the current one has been one waiting out there for someone to find for the last five weeks, with nobody yet coming up victorious. The clues for the current treasure hunt are wrapped up in this poem:

My experience with finding sources

It can be quite hard trying to find a specific book or paper on your topic. I went exploring not just for corgis but dogs as a topic in whole. There weren’t any physical copies of books, but I was able to thankfully find an eBook or two on my topic. I found an eBook called Welsh corgis and I was able to learn new things about corgis. In the eBook it states that during 1200 BC corgis were separated into two breed groups, they were wither a cardigan corgi or a Pembroke corgi. What differs the two is that cardigan corgis are more related to the dachshund and have a tail while Pembroke corgis have a different body built and stubby tails. There is so much more information I have learned from this source, and I will defiantly be needing its assistance in my future posts. What worked best for me was either searching for dogs or the main breed of corgi which is the Welsh corgi, and I was able to find resources under those categories. It was difficult to find a good source but by checking all the sources given to me I was able to determine what was the best website to find a source that fits my topic.
