Justice

“I used to hate you”, Nico whispered, “I used to absolutely despise you. All the taunting, forcing me to remember memories I had tried my hardest to bury deep inside of me. Your son forced me to experience them all again. Cupid publicly humiliated me and, for what? To conquer love. I didn’t want to believe that would truly help me to face my fears. I had become so used to running away from them; said action had become as known to me as my own skin. At that time, I truly wish love had never set foot in my life. And in such an unfair and merciless manner to make it all worst…”

Nico stopped his little monologue to glance at Will, who was cheerfully chatting with his siblings at the Apollo Table. He took a deep breath: “…Now, however, I must admit I have changed the perspective I thought would forever be set in stone in my mind and heart. I have come into an understanding with love. I know now that yes, while love sometimes make you incredibly sad, it can also make you incredibly happy. Love truly has the justice I believed it thoroughly lacked. Love was not a punishment sent my way by the Gods, but instead a gift. A gift that, although it took a dam long time to open, when it did, it filled me with immense joy. I now know what it feels to love and be loved fully in return. To be hold in someone’s arms like one is the most precious jewel in their world. To be heard with such attention; as if every word was of a value comparable to that of the whole universe. And for that I am deeply grateful for love.”

Nico then threw the best portion of his meal, his delicious fries, into the fire: “Nevertheless, I will never forget Cupid to what he did to me. Thus, this offering goes to Lady Aphrodite, Goddess of Love.” And with that, Nico walked towards his boyfriend with the rest of his meal, eager to spend dinner with him, camp rules be damed.

My work for April 26th Riordanverse Flash Fic Fridays!

Here is my work based on the April 26th prompts for the @drewtanakaweek. The prompts were so amazing again and I chose number 3. As soon as I saw this prompt, I thought of the perfect idea for a story about Drew that is in a series I am currently working on, so I got to work writing. I meant to get this posted earlier, but I had to go to the hospital.

Riordanverse Flash Fic Fridays!

We are back with another eight Fridays of pure fun and flash fiction!

There are a few changes this time around.

The eight fridays are now consecutive

Each day will have 5 prompts and the sixth is free choice

The Ao3 collection is now unmoderated. Just don't upload anything unrelated to the riordanverse or against the rules and and we should be good!

Dates: March 29th, April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, May 3rd, 10th, 17th

Prompts go up at 12 PM EST the Thursday Before!

Any kind of short fic is a flash fic, can be three words or 1k! This is to just encourage writing so anyone who writes for any character/ship within the riordan verse is welcome to join!

RULES:

Use common sense. (no excessive nudity, gore, violence etc.)

Be respectful, don't be rude to other contributors/ creators.

Tag your works properly!

Does not have to be a Drew Tanaka work, but still within the Riordanverse. Anyone can participate!
