Could I request headcanons of Thor, Poseidon, and Hades getting a lap pillow from their beloved wife?

RoR men + using their wife's lap as a pillow

Says he doesn’t like it, but actually he does

Being able to set the hammer down, and lay in his wife’s lap, looking up at the endless sky of Asgard is comforting.

It’s the only way he can truly relax anymore.

Able to fall asleep as his wife combs her fingers through his hair.

He hates it.

It’s undignified, childish, and a waste of time. But, his wife likes it when he does it so he plays along.

Humoring her only on occasion, it is one of the few times he openly talkative as Poseidon would rather fill the space with something that just lay there.

He suspects that’s why she asks to do it.

Initiator for this event, to the point that he’ll even go find his wife and make her sit down to do it.

Hades’s loves it.

Being pampered and caressed by his wife. Looking up at her (and her bosom) while they ‘sit’ together is a wonderful thing.

Preferred spot to do it is the gardens, although he will settle for really any flat surface area.

the way he proposed was not grand, and it didn't need to be. all that mattered was you and him.

it was almost sunset and you were both sitting under this huge tree. there was a calm breeze surrounding the two of you as you close your eyes and bask in the gentle sunlight like what you usually do when you feel happy and content. buddha knows this all too well.

he smiles at the sight of it. 'you look the most beautiful when you're like this: happy and at peace beside me.' he thinks to himself with a smile plastered on his face.

when he finally found the courage to speak his mind, he blurts it out, plain and simple, short and sweet, as they say. “will you marry me?”

you were taken aback for a second. face painted with a shocked expression, but it quickly turns into adoration as you see that his ears have turned slightly pink, and his twiddling fingers don't go unnoticed either. though his face hides the embarrassment pretty well, his adam's apple bobbing gave it away. “the great buddha-sama.. is asking me to marry him? perhaps i heard wrong—mhm yes i must have heard it wrong. could you repeat that for me, please?”

you said in a chaffing manner. he only lets out a hearty laugh and looks away, shaking his head at your teasing demeanor. but he wasn't mad or anything, in fact he felt more calm than earlier. it was one of the things he liked about you: how carefree, jolly, and lighthearted you were, and how he can easily feel at ease when you're around; how you effortlessly make him fall for you over and over again.

“i'm serious, y/n.” he says in a serious yet playful tone, voice deeper with a knowing smirk on his face. his hand cups your cheek and makes you look at him. slowly, he leans in closer to the point where if you even take a single breath in, he might end up getting sucked in closer and his lips would inevitably find their way on top of yours.

his ministrations ended up getting you flustered this time around, but you have no complaints. he gives emphasis on every word before softly pressing his forehead against yours and gently rubbing your nose with his. “will—you—marry—me?”

Author’s note: bc I’m bored lol. I don’t have a lot of experience with writing, so pls don’t expect much. Srry for ooc moments.

Nikola Tesla

His favorite subjects are definitely science and physics, but he is puts effort into all the other subjects. He really values education, as he loves to collect knowledge.

Enjoys helping others with homework or projects. Sometimes people tell him that the people he helps should do their work themselves, but he disagrees. He hates gatekeeping knowledge and believes that it should be accessible to everyone.

When he does help them, he has a tendency to become hyper and excited to share his wisdom. He rambles, dumps a bunch of info and jumps from a topic to another. He does apologize when he realizes how sidetracked he got :(

Absolutely hates it when he gets called a know-it-all. He values discovering knowledge more than just wisdom itself.

Generally chill and kind to everyone, but doesn’t always voluntarily engage in socializing (unless it’s somewhere his knowledge is of use.) He prefers to be alone most of the time, but doesn’t mind occasional conpany.

Has tea times with Jack sometimes. He likes to listen to him talking about different types of tea and pastries.

You’d see him in the library a lot. He’d most likely be reading a book related to his project, but might occasionally pick up a random book that piques his interest.

Feral!Poseidon Headcanons (SFW and NSFW)

So... What if Poseidon was a little more ‘Enalios’ and a little less ‘Zeus’?

SFW

Feral!Poseidon dresses largely the same as his canon counterpart, minus the choker and with a larger cutout on his back. His white wrap is much shorter to avoid being a hindrance. Anatomically, he has a few more changes. His skin is even paler due to the lack of sun exposure. His teeth come to a point, sharp enough to tear through his prey with ease, and his hands and feet are webbed. Some areas of his body have scales in place of body hair. ifyouknowwhatimean

If canon!Poseidon only tolerates humanity’s existence, feral!Poseidon loathes it. It’s humanity that’s constantly endangering his realm and everything within it. He does not compromise with humans, much less seek out interaction with them. If humans make the mistake of stepping out of line under his watchful eye, they will pay the ultimate price. Poseidon has no qualms with sinking ships that overfish, or setting a tsunami against a town that dumps pollution into the ocean. He won’t kill humans without reason, but once it’s justified in his mind, he does not hesitate. Many a greedy human has found themselves impaled on his trident after unsuccessfully begging the unyielding sea god for mercy.

This Poseidon has the utmost respect of his subjects, not just because of his fearsome strength, but because of his active involvement in the realm. He meets with lesser sea deities and mortal citizens regularly to discuss and strategize conflicts and other things that require attention. His subjects know they can rely on him to lead the charge against anything that might threaten their home, and for this he has their undying loyalty.

As driven as this Poseidon is, he still finds time for himself while traversing the waters. When he's not occupied with his duties, he prefers to lurk in the deep ocean, observing the strange life forms and geological features that can be found only there. He’s still a solitary being at heart, and finds peace just swimming alongside schools of fish and examining the wreckage of doomed ships on the ocean floor. Although humanity is a blight, useful items can occasionally be pillaged from them, and he retrieves them to give to his subjects or keep for his own use. Likewise, his dwelling - more of a glorified cave than a real home - is in deeper waters than the other humanoid ocean dwellers, such as merpeople, prefer. He finds comfort in maintaining some physical distance from the surface world, and enjoys the peaceful silence of the ocean's depths.

Feral!Poseidon views himself first and foremost as protector of the ocean before his status as an Olympian, and there are times when his priorities clash with his family. He is the hardest to find of Zeus’s brothers and makes himself scarce on purpose. He doesn’t think much of most of his fellow Greek gods, as he believes they concern themselves with pomp and ceremony more than they do the actual governing of their realms.

Although he doesn’t hunt for sport, he is a peerless predator and catches his own food. He prefers to eat prey with simpler minds, such as shellfish, and he silently thanks his prey before consuming them.

Feral!Poseidon is not one concerned with luxuries or useless baubles, and scoffs at the useless treasure his fellow Greek gods fill their own homes with. His rocky dwelling is largely empty except for tools and necessary furnishings. He makes most of the items he uses himself, and can carve and weave rather well. His exemplary survival skills mean he can journey empty-handed through the ocean indefinitely, crafting and making do with what he finds in the surrounding environment.

Although Feral!Poseidon is incredibly good at what he does, there’s no end to the amount of work that requires his attention. He eventually decides that he needs some offspring to assist him in his never-ending work... and, perhaps, a partner to seek refuge with after a long day. To this end, he seeks out a suitable mate - a fellow humanoid ocean-dweller who’s strong, healthy, and reasonably clever - and takes some time to observe them and confirm his choice before moving in.

In keeping with his primal side, Poseidon has no problem hunting you down if you run away spur his advances. If you do manage to get away, that’s fine, if irritating to him. Where, exactly, do you think you can go? The ocean is his domain, after all. He’ll easily track you to your home and entrap you... or wherever else he manages to catch you.

Your actions will decide how this coupling proceeds. Are you going to fight him? Fine then, he’ll haul you back to his dwelling and keep you confined there until you warm up to him. He’ll bring you priceless trinkets from the shipwrecks he scours and feed you the fish he catches to prove his sincerity and dedication. Eventually, you’ll come to see how good of a mate he is. What more could you want, after all?

Or... do you accept him immediately? If that’s the case, you can have him however you want him. He’s more than happy to satisfy you. Up against the cavern wall, with your lower half locked about his waist? On the ocean floor, his weight pinning you down and fingers entangled in the seaweed? Of course, once he’s inside of you, nothing else matters to either of you. He might not be able to resist biting you with those sharp teeth of his. You’re welcome to bite him back with matching passion.

Of course, now that you’ve coupled, you belong to him. He brings you to live with him and ensures that your every need is attended to. The loyal citizens of the realm show you the same respect as him, and there's no safer position in the world than as mate of the fierce sea god. While he is gone most of the time overseeing business, he returns home every night to relax in your arms. You have many children, and together you raise them to become valiant guardians of the sea.

Could I request Loki, Poseidon, and Buddha with an s/o who's very naïve and clueless about romance and sex?

Buddha loves it.

Since they’re so naïve, it’s pretty easy to tease them.

Either they don’t get the double entendre joke, or they get so flustered & helplessly cute.

He doesn’t push the sex thing as he’s honestly a little uncomfortable talking about sex directly. He’s fine with taking things as slow as they need.

Would probably insist on having a lover who is chaste & pure.

Poseidon can’t stand sharing even food with another, much less his lover.

It also avoids the issue of having to un-learn bad habits from past lovers. Like unseemly characters such as his brother.

He will teach them, but in his own time. Their purity is something he admires and doesn’t want to diminish it quickly.

Well….what an opportunity this presents….

Loki is probably the worst for a partner like this. He will take advantage and use their naivety to his own benefit.

Practically grooming behavior that his innocent s/o is too blind to see.

He’ll try to be nice, but he just can’t help himself. When it’s so easy to trick someone, the trickster god just can’t be held accountable.

So, to explain the brainslug hc more- (tw body horror-)

Basically, my idea was that potentially there may have been some kind of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers type incident early on in human evolution, with some form of aquatic sluglike organism (Or maybe something else, but I like saying slug bc Brainslug) basically hijacking the brains of distant human predecessors and using the bodies to get around on land possibly involving some form of psychic link/early development of psionic abilities?? Though, that part’s debatable.

This ended up being surprisingly successful evolutionarily for both sides of the equation, and over time both species wound up coevolving to the point where they ended up overall acting as one entity and ultimately becoming the definition of what “humans” in the psychonauts world actually are, much like how mitochondria has been theorized to have at one point been an entirely separate kind of bacteria.

At this point in time, in fact, the two species are pretty much outright dependent on each other, with the “body” really only retaining enough motor function to stumble around like a TV obsessed zombie, and “brains” generally having lost most independent movement and sensory capacity with the exception of some vestigial stuff like the “emergency eject” reflex that Super Sneezing Powder triggers (though some people may retain additional vestigial stuff like retaining some ability to wriggle their brains in the same way that some people have the ability to wiggle their ears or being slightly more functional as just a mindless body)

I feel like this knowledge would be the equivalent of a weird fun fact that sounds like it shouldn’t be right but is in-universe, something that’s known generally but wouldn’t be considered common knowledge to most people outside of people who specialize in fields that involve it like doctors or psychologists- (or, of course, nerds like Raz (who absolutely uses this info to annoy his siblings by bringing it up every single time they have seafood/clam chowder-))

Does this necessarily affect much about the games? Not really- that said it does make for some interesting theoretical explanations for stuff that really doesn’t need explaining, and it does feel like it meshes good with some of the more “weird cartoony campy scifi” elements of the worldbuilding in Psychonauts
