supermodel | jjk
Tumblr media
the last three months have been hell for you, but Jungkook seemed to be living his best life.
pairing: ex-bf!jk x thick!reader
warnings: explicit mentions of body image and insecurities, infidelity, anal sex, oral (male receive), foul language (kinda), etc.
now playing: supermodel by sza
part two part three
Exactly three months ago, your and Jungkook’s 2 years relationship officially ended. Unofficially, it ended about 5 months ago. And for about one month now, Jungkook’s been seeing someone else.
Your heart and mind told you not to do it but you couldn’t help calculating. Three months ago, you were still dating, two months later, he started dating someone else. That must mean he’s known her for a while. Did he cheat on you with her? Well, it’s not like it matters now anyway, does it?
Her name was Yuki, an undeniable Japanese beauty. You were still in college, studying music and she was a famous model who appeared in internationally known magazines. You assumed she met Jungkook during a photoshoot since he was a professional photographer who often worked for companies like Vogue and Playboy. You couldn’t help but compare yourself to her.
It wasn’t the fact that he moved on so quickly that hurt you the most. It was the fact that he knew all about your low self-esteem and how you lack confidence. Especially about your body. And he still went and dated a model, of all professions in the world. He was definitely over you.
If you didn’t know any better, you’d think he did it on purpose. But thankfully, you knew better, he looked too happy for that to be even considered. He forgot about you.
You’re making yourself sadder by remembering all the times he assured you you were beautiful and your body was nothing to be ashamed of. The times he let his fingertips run over the lines of your stretch marks, whispering in your ear how much he loved them and how they reminded him of Tiger stripes. The times he caressed your jiggly thighs and told you how sexy he thought they were.
Then your mind would drift back to the phone in your hand, the Instagram page of Yuki Sakurai opened, careful not to accidentally like anything and expose yourself. Not that she’d notice anyway, she had 3.7 million followers, while you had a private one with 500 followers and no posts, and she gets around 300 to 700 thousand likes on each post, depending on whether she posts random photos or pretty pictures of herself. Or newly, your ex-boyfriend, Jungkook. Oh, how crazy everybody goes whenever she posts him. People love them together. You couldn’t blame them. Two attractive people? Of course, they’re gonna look great together.
Fucking great.
That the end of your relationship with Jungkook would look like this was semi-predictable from the beginning. He did admit to you that he never thought he’d date someone that looked like you when you first dated. And your heart broke a little. But he also made up for it in those two years, it was a beautiful relationship nonetheless.
While you weren’t exactly his ‘ideal’ type, he was definitely yours. You always heard from other women ‘when in a relationship, the man always has to love the woman more than she loves him. Otherwise, it won’t work.’ You never really got the saying until your breakup with Jungkook happened. It was the fact that you clearly loved Jungkook more than he loved you that lead to this.
“Oh my goodness!”, your roommate, Jane, dramatically exclaimed. “Will you stop feeling bad for yourself and do something? That’s not what hot girls do, sis.”
Jane was a lovely girl with a not so lovely temper. She always means well and you got along perfectly as soon as you met. Which was around 3 and a half years ago.
She looked over your shoulder to see what you were looking at. You obviously didn’t want her to see you snooping around your ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend’s Instagram but it was too late.
“Seriously, yn?”, she took your phone in her hand and threw it on the bed. “Let’s go somewhere, you can’t do this to yourself anymore. I’m not letting you.”
Jane was clearly worried about you at this point. The only thing you did these last few weeks was eating, shower, cry, sleep and miss a whole bunch of classes. This wasn’t good at all.
“Where?”, your question was short.
“To the mall? Or the nail studio? Anything that’ll get you out of this fucking dormitory.”, Jane sighed, pulling the blanket off of you, making you whine a little. “C’mon, go put on some cute outfit and we’ll go.”
You felt bad since she was trying hard to make you feel better. But it didn’t really work.
You nodded, standing up from the bed, nonetheless. You picked out a cute two-piece dress, that brought back blurred memories of the time you went on a date with Jungkook, wearing the same two-piece. Bet Yuki would look cuter in this...
‘Shut your petty ass up, yn. It’s embarrassing, the way you’re stuck on a taken guy who wants nothing to do with you’
You wish you could change the way you think, even if it’s just for an hour or two. You wish you would stop imagining Jungkook judging you when he saw you naked or when you told him that you wished you could cut off some of your fat with a pair of scissors.
You were beyond ashamed of yourself. Why wasn’t it easy for you to just stay by yourself? why were you so desperately in need of Jungkook by your side to the point where you’d lock yourself in your room for a month just because he isn’t there?
You needed Jungkook. You became so attached to him in those two years, because you always saw him as a permanent, a forever. Not just a temporary, not just a distant memory. You already saw him as the father of your children, as the man you’re gonna marry.
You were so blinded by the fact that you had him, that you forgot you could lose him anytime.
“I’m done, let’s go.”, unenthusiastically, you announced to Jane, who was already waiting for you.
“Let’s get the fuck outta here!”, In contrast to your spirit, hers seemed to be all roses and daisies. “Lord knows you need it...”
__________
“Look at this cute ass skirt, girl”, Jane pointed at a chic, wine mini skirt she was holding. “You know, when I saw it back there I wanted to have it, but it’d look so much better on you”
You took a few seconds to admire Jane’s beauty. She was about 3 cm taller than you, had a great posture, and almond, dark brown eyes that suited her dark skin tone perfectly. Her body leaned more towards the slimmer side.
“Shut up! No, it would not”, you let out a small giggle. “It would look gorgeous on you, buy it.”
She smiled a little at your laughs. She was happy to see you at least a little cheerful again. “Yeah, but I think it’d look better on you. I’m entitled to my own opinion, am I not?”
You knew this debate was gonna go back and forth, because of her stubbornness. “Let’s both buy the skirt.”
You ended up doing so, added by a bunch of bags full of clothing. This may’ve turned into your new coping mechanism. Who needed therapy when you can go on a shopping spree?
Two hours were spent in boutiques and clothing stores and Jane decided she was tired, wanting to visit the local spa.
“No, seriously, these Riverdale seasons just keep on getting worse and worse. Netflix needs to step up their game ASAP”, Jane ranted, making you laugh at how serious she takes it. “It’s getting embarrassing. I’m being for real.”
The two of you were sitting in the whirlpool at the spa, relaxing your whole bodies a little.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever, I don’t watch these new Netflix shows anyways. Been stuck on the vampire diaries for the last 7 years”, you chuckled, knowing you hated trying new things. “Can you pass me one of those magazines?”
Jane nodded, grabbing a random one from the table next to her and handed it to you, without looking at it.
The cover of it caught your eyes immediately. How could it not, when your ex’s new girl looks absolutely dazzling on the front page of it.
‘Supermodel Yuki Sakurai talks summer fashion tips, struggle with self-love and most importantly, her hot, new boyfriend the media is going crazy over’ was the headline of the Harper’s Bazaar Magazine cover.
You felt your stomach getting sick and your breath getting heavier, but you still flipped the pages until you found the one with her interview. You began reading it, skipping the boring parts.
‘Int: so, we see you have a new boyfriend. Tell us, how did you guys meet?
Yuki: Yeah, he’s an amazing guy. We actually met about six or five months ago at one of my photoshoots, since he’s a photographer and we exchanged numbers and stuff, and then we made it official mid last month.’
About six or five months ago? You were with him back then, but her answer was too unclear to find out if he cheated or not.
“Woah, yn, you okay?”
You entirely forgot about the fact that you were with Jane, let alone somewhere other than your bed.
Before you could react, Jane snatched the magazine out of your hand.
“You really can’t escape them, huh?”, She sighs, taking you in her arm. “It’s gonna be okay, baby. In a few months, you’re gonna look back to this and think wow I really was stuck on a guy who’s scared of microwaves and cried like a bitch when Iron Man died.”
You laughed, punching her arm playfully. “You know, I actually love these things about him. Shows his sensitivity and the way he perceives things.”
Jane looked at you as if she didn’t believe you were actually saying that stuff. “Girl, you’re overanalyzing this. Let’s just throw this shit in the trash, okay?”
She put the magazine aside.
“I just don't know what I did wrong.”, You murmured. “I know we weren't the best, but we didn't even fight that much. We could’ve talked it through.”
Jane pursed her lips and cooed. “You know, relationships are complicated sometimes. The reason why he broke up, to begin with, is probably not your fault.”
“Well, what if it is? I mean what if I was too fat or too ugly for him?”, you asked. “If he wanted a skinny girl so bad, I could’ve lost weight for him, I don’t get it.”
Jane looked at you like you lost your mind entirely. “I can’t believe you just said that! Even if that was the reason, which it wasn’t, you shouldn’t make yourself suffer because of it. That’s his loss. You’re beyond gorgeous and you have an amazing body.”
“You’re just saying that.”, tears slowly started coming up in your eyes. “But the thing is Jungkook knows all about my insecurities. Why would he do that to me? I know he knows that I’m still not over him.”
You usually didn’t like crying in front of other people, but you didn’t really care at the moment, besides that was Jane. You trusted her with your life.
“Girl, men are trash, I can’t believe you’re crying over one right now, seriously.”, she wiped your tears and held your face between her hands. “You know, honestly, I’ve read so many articles about how models actually hate themselves and have like the lowest self-esteem so in conclusion, no matter how miserable you are, his new girl is even more miserable.”
You knew Jane didn’t mean it in a harmful way, but it sounded harsher than needed. “I don’t hate her, she probably doesn’t even know about me. I’m just really insecure. He upgraded from me. He’s dating a whole model now.”
The situation just felt like a deja vu of these last few weeks laying in your bed, even though you were at the spa with your friend. You were supposed to have fun, yet you didn’t feel like having any.
“Why would you feel insecure when all you’ve seen of her are Instagram posts and red carpet pictures? She’s supposed to look beautiful, it’s her job.”
To a certain extent, Jane was right, but that didn’t really help your situation, you still felt bad about yourself. You stayed silent.
“C’mon, this isn’t fun anymore. Let’s leave.”, Jane mumbled.
_______
it’s been two days since the incident at the spa and you felt a little bit better now.
Those days were spent reading the same three book series you’ve read your entire life, overthinking, hot Cheetos, Indian takeout, and Netflix. It really wasn’t as miserable as it sounded.
You were just taking a little rest before term break ends and you have to go back to the shithole college again.
Jane was using the time until college starts again, but in different ways than you were. She was planning on going to some frat party in an hour and forget about the world’ for a minute. Or till 4 in the morning, where she will most likely drunk call you and ask you for a ride back to the dorms, because the friends she went to the party with were shit-faced as well and were in no way capable of driving anywhere without the cops stopping them.
Going out partying on a Friday night was a Jane tradition. In the past, you’d sometimes go with her, but you mostly spent your time out with Jungkook doing something more fun than partying could ever be. Now you can’t do that anymore, but laying in bed is more ideal than a party for you at the moment.
“How do I look?”, Jane twirled around to show off her black cocktail dress. She looked beautiful.
“You look beautiful.”, you responded to her question. “Are you leaving now?”
“Hm”, she said, to which you nodded. “You sure you don’t wanna come with me? It’s gonna be really fun.”
You shook your head no.
“Alright”, she shrugged, making her way out of your bedroom. “But I told you, it’s gonna be fun.”
You chuckled, rolling your eyes. “I’ll stay here, I have shit to do.”
“Yeah, right, like binge-watching the vampire diaries and taking 5-hour naps”, she said in a sarcastic tone. “Anyway, bye-bye, Vic’s already waiting for me in the car.”
Victoria was perhaps one of the most obnoxious people you know, yet she was too much of a nice person for you to talk shit about her. The voice of your intrusive thoughts couldn’t help but to, though.
“Alright, bye, take care and say hi to Vic from me.”
After Jane left, an hour went by like it was just a couple of minutes. You were starting to get real bored and decided to watch some regular tv in hopes to find something you enjoy. You ended up not finding anything fun, but you still watched it, because you didn’t have anything else to do.
A few moments later, the doorbell rang and you were suddenly worried. Either this is a serial killer or Jane forgot something.
But to your surprise, it was neither, but it was none other than
“Jungkook?”, truly, those were the only words you were able to mutter out at your shocked state. “What are you do-“
At the speed of light, you were interrupted by your ex-boyfriend pressing his lips to yours. He didn’t say a word.
You weren’t expecting him. Not knowing how you were supposed to feel at the moment, you just let it happen. You were sure your mental state couldn’t get any worse than that, no matter how this will affect you in the end.
“Is Jane home?”, for the first time in 3 months, you’re hearing his silky voice again.
Jungkook knew Jane always had some type of special hatred for him with her killing stares and her bitter comments. You didn’t notice either though.
He also knew she must hate him even more after your breakup. Or maybe she liked him more now since she was able to get rid of him without killing anyone.
“No”, your answer was short and it made a weight fall from Jungkook’s shoulders before he continued kissing you.
It wasn’t anything you haven’t done before, yet it felt like it’s been ages since it last happened. Your mind drifted to the thought of Jungkook and his model girlfriend. You were asking yourself what their sex life was like, if she was tighter than you or if she had stretch marks and scars.
Jungkook’s lips were moving south, giving your neck wet kisses, while you were wondering why he broke up with his model girlfriend. Or if he even did. You felt selfish for not caring.
Removing your clothes one by one, you were left in your underwear, while Jungkook only had his boxers on.
This body was yours. You knew it inside out. Where he liked to get touched and where he preferred not to. You knew him better than anyone else. You were sure.
You already moved to your bedroom, since Jungkook effortlessly carried you there. You were sat on his lap, facing him and your hands were in his messy hair. His hands were around your waist, he was slightly smiling into the kiss, as you started grinding on him. He loved how easy it was for him to turn you on. You were still his.
Cutting off the kiss, he looked you in the eyes, while his hand was on your cheek. “Say aah.”, he said.
You widened your mouth obediently, which was followed by him collecting as much saliva as he could in his mouth and spitting it into your mouth.
“Swallow.”, demanding, he spit on your face, his eyes become darker with every passing moment. You did as he said.
You looked at him with big eyes. He knew you loved it. You’ve always had a thing for him degrading and humiliating you during sex.
He started grinding on you almost desperately. You knew exactly what he wanted.
Getting out of his grip, you dropped to your knees and freed his hard dick from his drawers. You reached for it and started pumping it, and licking it. Your spit was leaking down his dick as you used it for lubrication. Then you started sucking on it, just the way you used to.
Jungkook’s groans and satisfied sighs were enough to make you even wetter than before. You enjoyed giving more than receiving.
Your mouth was wet and warm around him, giving him a feeling of familiarity. You lick over the tip a few times, then proceed to fully take him into your mouth.
The bulge in your throat could be seen and the way your eyes were tearing up a little wasn’t bothering you at all. You loved giving.
Jungkook started thrusting in and out of your warm, welcoming mouth, his tip hitting the back of your throat multiple times.
“Fuck”, a throaty moan left Jungkook’s mouth, giving you hints that he was about to cum. And he did, releasing in your mouth before you swallowed it. “Shit, baby, that was so good.”
You felt your face heat up and a sheepish smile made its way to your face. Your throat was sore.
The two of you were on the bed again. To you, it felt like it was the times before your breakup again, when you’d purposely start an argument just for the makeup sex because Jungkook wasn’t giving you any anymore. It was like sex was the only thing to look forward to.
You felt attached to Jungkook to a point where it was dangerous. You weren’t okay when he wasn’t around. He affected every part of your life and God knew it wasn’t always a positive thing. Maybe it was the fact that he took your virginity. Maybe because he was your first boyfriend, the first guy that made you believe you were worthy of love and that someone was actually capable of loving you. One thing you knew was Jungkook had an expansive influence on your life.
While you were practically drowning in your own thoughts, Jungkook was busy taking off your underwear.
“You okay?”, Jungkook calmly asked you, looking at your riddled face.
“Huh? Yeah, I’m okay.”, you sounded distracted, Jungkook wasn’t sure about asking you what it is though. He didn’t feel like getting personal.
So he shrugged it off and started kissing you again, his dick was unsurprisingly hard again as he played with your tits. He drew lines over the stretch marks of your thighs and kissed them.
“Can I fuck your ass?”, Jungkook’s raspy, tired-sounding voice casually asked, to which you quickly nodded, knowing that Jungkook’s favorite position had always been anal. He was massaging and gripping your ass firmly.
“This is gonna hurt at first, but I promise it gets better.”, He warned calmly into your ear, while putting some lube on his dick and just went right into your ass, slowly thrusting so you don’t feel as much pain.
He was right, it did hurt a lot when he first put it in, but the pain just changed into pleasure in a matter of time and his slow-paced thrusts helped with the adjustment.
“Fuck, I missed this ass”, he practically growled into your ear, as he kept on thrusting in and out, steadily gripping your wide hips with his big, veiny hands. “It just doesn’t feel right when I’m inside her ass.”
You knew your confidence shouldn’t rely on Jungkook bringing his girlfriend down, but you couldn’t help but feel good about your body when he said that. It’s been a while since you felt even a tiny spark of confidence. You weren’t so fond of him mentioning her while he was inside of you.
Your soft moans rang through the whole room like sirens, while he watched your ass jiggle against his pelvis, thrusting in and out faster every second. He missed this.
You had always thought you were indecisive, but you knew exactly what you wanted. You just couldn’t have that, so you’d eventually have to settle for less.
Jungkook wasn’t to blame for it, you just couldn’t concede your shortcomings. The movie’s villain wasn’t always the real villain.
Your hands traveled to your pussy to make sure you’d orgasm as well, when you heard Jungkook’s breathing getting heavier and his thrusts getting gentler than before, indicating that he was gonna cum soon. You were certain he could make you cum with just anal, but you wanted to cum with him.
With furrowed eyebrows and drops of sweat dripping down his body, Jungkook looked down at your arched back. The whole scene was sticky, especially when Jungkook presses his upper body to your back, whispering sweet nothings into your ear and kissing the spot.
It was kinda odd, having sex with your ex-boyfriend you were crying over just a day ago. There was a certain intensity to it though. Like your long-lasting nostalgia was finally fulfilled.
You’ve realized you couldn’t imagine yourself being intimate with anybody else. Jungkook already knew your body, how it looked without the material protecting it, the strawberry skin, the slightly sagging breasts you swore you’d surgically remove once you had the chance to but didn’t. He knew where you liked being touched, he was the first one to even touch you in those places.
You were unsure what you’d do with yourself when he leaves.
Jungkook’s thrusts slowly started stopping and you too felt the familiar sensation in your stomach.
Suddenly, you two were nothing but desire, fear, and pleasure. And faster than you could process, you came together.
For minutes after your orgasm, you were just laying on the bed, thoughtless. Maybe a little regretful. Not you, but him.
You weren’t facing each other, but you could hear each other’s breathing. Your stomach was filled with something you’d describe as post-sex melancholia.
All of a sudden, Jungkook stood up from the bed, startling your resting self a little, but you decided to keep quiet, wanting to see what he was going to do.
He made his way to the door to leave what he thought was your sleeping body laying there. You couldn’t keep quiet anymore.
“Where are you going?”, your soft voice suddenly rang in his ears. “Don’t you wanna stay?”
He didn’t know how exactly to tell you. You’ve always been a gullible little girl, you were the type of girl to think fucking equals love. Little did you know that wasn’t the case at all.
“Yn.... you know I can’t”, Jungkook responded, you knew it wasn’t gonna be good when he said your name like that. “I got a girl at home and I don’t wanna mess shit up with her.”
There it was. Your suspicion was corroborated. He was still going out with the model and you were a certified home wrecker. Great.
You physically felt your heart breaking. “Bu- but why are you here then?”
You were incapable of being mad at him at the moment. It was your fault for letting him in, again. After breaking your trust and your heart.
“This was a mistake”, he declared, not looking into your eyes. “I’m sorry, yn...”
He’s moved past your room now, already at the exit of your dormitory. He was about to leave.
“You already ruined shit with her when you came here and fucked me.”, your voice was small, but your words were heard.
Without looking back, he left.
And you went back to your room, standing in the middle of it for a minute in silence before your brain fully processed what had happened and your tears started pouring.

Life Support- Cole Sprouse
Chapter Two
Tumblr media
Summary: Cole and Lana grew up together, they were best friends since kindergarten, inseparable. As they grew older, their feelings for each other developed to a new kind of love. When Lana finally told Cole how she truly felt, he was overjoyed. He loved her as much as she loved him. But, he had just signed a contract to play Jughead on Riverdale. After the day he left, she was blocked on all Social media and he never answered her texts or calls. Lana was devastated. When Cole comes back a year later, will they rekindle their love?
Tag List: @randomxstuffx (If you want to be added to the list, lmk)
A/N: I hope y'all enjoy lol💜
×××
The whole way to the airport, Lana felt like her head was going to explode. She couldn't quite process the simple fact that Cole was coming home. Or maybe it was the fact that he claimed to miss her. In all honesty, she didn't know how to feel about her long lost lover coming home. Her heart was beating abnormally fast and her hands were shaking. Her anxiety was through the fucking roof. Does he truly want to see me? She wondered, looking out the car window. And if he does, why did he completely cut me out? Her mind continued to race with "what if's" the rest of that 3 hour drive.
Meanwhile, Cole was going through a similar process as the plane started to land. His heart was racing, palms sweating, he was scared. He didn't know if Lana would even want to look at him. He couldn't even bring himself to imagine her not wanting to see him. It hurt too much. He knew what he did was wrong, but he couldn't help but hold on to that little bit of hope, those little tiny "what if's".
×××
Lana's mother had to drag her out of the car when they reached the airport. Lana couldn't bring herself to leave the car. He was quite literally minutes away. Her nerves were shot as they pushed their way through the crowd. They stopped near his gate and started searching the crowd for that oh so familiar face. Lana was frantically searching through heads, heart stopping every time she seen a raven haired boy. About five minutes later, Lana saw him. Before her mind could even comprehend what was happening, her legs were moving, and she was running towards him. Cole's head snapped up, his eyes meeting hers. Cole dropped his luggage and ran to the girl. They met halfway, and Lana was jumping into his arms, legs wrapping around his waist. Both of their hearts swelled, finally being reunited with their other half. Lana sobbed into his shoulder, unable to contain her emotions. "Lana." Cole breathed, still trying to process that she was here, in his arms.
"Cole." She sobbed, her fingers finding their way into his hair, combing softly through it as she cried. They stayed there, just like that, for what felt like forever, until Lana finally untangled herself from him. Cole reluctantly pulled away, not quite ready to let her go yet. "I missed you so so much Lana." Cole whispered, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. Lana felt like a school girl again when the butterflies erupted in her stomach. "I missed you too." She whispered, placing a hand on his cheek. Lana looked into his green eyes, searching for any signs that he was lying, that he didn't actually miss her, but only found pure love and adoration. "Why didn't you call me?" She asked, taking a step back.
Cole took a deep breath and ran both his hands through his hair. He chuckled nervously, fear racking through his body. "Believe it or not it was to protect you." Lana scoffed and crossed her arms. "From what Cole? What could have been so bad that you had to cut me out of your life?"
"I knew you didn't like being in the spotlight, and with me becoming famous, I didn't want you to feel pressured into anything, and I didn't want anyone to attack you or-" Lana cut him off with a dry laugh. "Don't you think that's my choice?" She asked him, anger building up inside of her. Cole was taken aback by her temper. She had never gotten angry with him before. "W-What?" Lana took a step closer to him. She was seething. "Don't. You. Think. That's. My. Choice." She pronounced each word slowly, making sure he got the message. Cole sighed in defeat. She was right. She's always right.
"I'm sorry." He confessed, looking down at his shoes. When Lana didn't respond, he turned around and retrieved his luggage. He walked past Lana, sparing her one last glance, hoping she would say something, and then continued on to the rest of the Del Rey family.
Lana may have seemed tough on the outside, but on the inside, she was falling apart. She was yearning to be in his arms again, but she had to protect herself. There wasn't a way in hell she would forgive him so easily, no matter how much she wanted to. She watched as he interacted with her family, wishing that he wouldn't have left in the first place. They could have been together, but he left. She immediately felt guilty for thinking that and walked up to her family.
After a short greeting, The Del Reys led Cole to their car. As they were walking, Madison leaned over to Cole. "You're in deep shit." She whispered. Cole sighed and ran a hand through his floppy hair. "I know Mads, what should I do." Madison paused for a moment, thinking. "Talk to her." She finally said looking up at the boy who was like her older brother. "She won't even look at me." He whispered, glancing at Lana. She held her gaze straight ahead of her, never looking at him. Madison grinned before shouting "I call shot gun!" Lana groaned and tried to complain to her mother, but didn't get any response. Cole grinned at the younger Del Rey, silently mouthing "Thank You."
Madison nodded and ran to the front seat. Lana reluctantly trudged to the back seat, not looking forward to this awkward car ride. Cole quickly loaded his baggage into the trunk and rushed over to the backseat. He pulled himself into the small space, making sure to sit in the middle. He put his backpack on the seat next to him and turned to Lana. "Lana, please say something." He whispered, praying she would say something, anything. Lana's heart dropped when she heard his desperate tone of his voice. She could tell he was sorry, but she was stubborn.
Cole sighed and leaned back against his seat. "Always so stubborn. Do you remember when you almost didn't go to Six Flags because you didn't want your hair to friz up from the heat?" Lana couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped her lips. The memory was one of her favorites, Cole literally sprayed her hair with water after every ride. He was always so thoughtful. A small smile formed on the boys lips, he knew he could get her to talk to him, he's only had 13 years of experience with her. Lana finally looked up at Cole, meeting his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" She whispered, eyes never leaving his. Cole grabbed her hand and interlaced their fingers. When she didn't pull away, he answered her question. "Because if I called you before I did, I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. I just wanted to protect you." Lana knew he was telling the truth. She felt it in her heart.
"I want to be a part of your life Cole, all of it. Fame and all." Coles eyes widened.
"You'd do that for me?"
Lana nodded and squeezed his hand. "I'd do anything to keep you in my life." Cole smiled brightly and leaned down, pressing a tender kiss on her lips. She kissed him back, tasting his minty breath, finally content. When Cole pulled away, he had one last question. "Does this mean you forgive me?"
Lana laughed lightly, patting the boys cheek. "No way in hell am I going to forgive you that easily, but I understand why you did it." She placed her head on Coles shoulder, letting her eyes close. Cole placed his head on top of hers, closing his eyes as well. They both ended up falling asleep, completely intertwined with each other, the rest of the ride to the rest of their lives.

- “I really hate that I’m dragging you through this.” … what about constantly pulling him into your mob boss father mess that the writers refuse to allow you to escape from?
- “until you and Chad are officially done, I think we should keep our distance.” Varchie bones!!! you just KNOW that Archie has been looking forward to this because that man is whole heartedly in love with Betty and has been since forever and that while Chad prolongs the divorce papers, Archie will not be waiting for Veronica considering he doesn’t want her. Varchie = bones we love to see it!
- now who tf would join Penelope Blossom’s ministry… no one, realistically.
- can Cheryl stop being given the craziest and usually most boring plots ever please...
- Not someone holding a gun to Tabitha literally don’t hurt Riverdale’s best girl weirdo
- these bitches really haven’t aged huh…. poor Veronica though being robbed but like they stole some watches or something and the opal like that’s all you take..?? okay-
- Fangs 💞💞💞💞💞 also rip to him having to work with his ex tho
- STOP HAVING ARCHIE GO TO HIRAM WE’RE TIRED
- You know considering the whole reason why Hiram is still here as the villain and ruining Veronica’s life/growth to keep her in his plots al because Mark is a big soap opera celeb and apparently brings in money, you’d assume they would give him GOOD shit instead of everything he’s gotten. If they hadn’t of hired Mark can you imagine how much better off the show would be if they didn’t have to keep him around bc of his status????? God why-
- Reggie’s always there for Veronica muah…. oh fuck me I guess fjasjkdf
- “I work for one Lodge and it’s not you.” lmao okay??? you acting like that’s a flex, and that you’re working for the better Lodge who literally left you to die after the Serpents thought you shot Fangs so-
- MARTY BEING WHY REGGIE IS WORKING FOR HIRAM…….. YOUR DAD IS ABUSIVE LET HIM HANDLE HIS OWN DEBT??? God both Veronica and Reggie are always fucked over when it comes to their parents huh
- don’t you just love when they make characters act ooc for a plot ahhhhhh it’s totally fun to watch and totally not frustratingly annoying
- “FOR OLD TIMES SAKE.” 💞💞💞 we love Veggie even though they made Veronica act ooc and hurt him back then and they weren’t given an actual chance.
- “don’t be such a Betty” now why is Betty so surprised she only ever had fun when she was with Archie, when she’s with Jughead all she did was do what she wanted and order him around so likeefjhakdfh
- “he shouldn’t really be my problem anymore.” BUGHEAD BONES YASSSSS
- I know it was just a sound they used but like that squish sound when Darla kicked Tom’s face… did she like smash his face in damn what is this The Walking Dead?
- see the problem with them randomly bringing characters/parents in when they need them is that they’re never around so like no one really cares… like they could have utilized the parents so much (and Skeet and Marisol never would have left) and it would have been so much better than random appearances that make them look incompetent and awful parents because they’re never there during all the other times their kids need them. but we have to see the two toxic parents that won’t go away constantly??? literally what the fuck
- Betty calling Jughead’s writing cringey wbk she’s never liked his writing she was just stroking his ego bc she was his gf and had to be supportive lmaoo
- why are these 60+ year old men beating up Jughead like for why???
- so they just forgot that Tom was checking in on the convict huh gotta love dumbing down characters for plot!
- Fangs with his switchblade muah
- jealous Tabitha muahhh over a password
- “wait THE BETTY?"
- Cheryl looks so good
- Find meaning in his death… girl didn’t you not care that your husband killed your son over the illegal maple stuff I forgot the plot but it was something illegal and dumb
- “drain the vein” …...
- Reggie helping muah
- Why is Archie acting like an ass? like sure he doesn’t know that Chad is abusive and toxic but c’mon fucker you cheated on her and never apologized and you don’t even wanna be with her in the first place so why are you acting like you’re personally hurt sit down
- God Archie really hates Veronica huh… I don’t even blame him considering the shit she’s brought him into time and time again.
- Jughead was kicked like maybe five times yet he was fine falling out of a two story window and the serpent imitation but now he needs antibiotics..? plot convenience!
- literally don’t remember anything about Doc tbh or him talking to Donna and Bret like—
- ever since Negan people are obsessed with bats with barbed wire.
- also! yes please kill Hiram <3 I know they end up saving him bc of the opal but c'mon
- they searched basically nothing for five seconds wow such great detective work you guys!
- we know you just want his manuscript Jessica
- Cheryl with her rainbow skirt how cute!
- “daddykins” girl you’re like 25
- Veronica acting like she cares about Hiram fjsadhkfhas these guys thinking that they’d kill Hiram even though they need him lol
- bad bitch Ronnie we love her even though she’s gonna have to save her father to save others and get her opal </3
- not Veronica calling Archie first and not Kevin considering Kevin’s dad is there…. this is the pandering va fan service bs we have bc it makes no sense and it’s so forced
- Fangs knowing Archie rides with tools in his truck mmhm that’s a little sus idk how but archiefangs agenda coming through!
- no one would actually believe that Jessica ashkjdfsj and they take this bait…??? you gotta be joking lmao
- Jug got to help doc this time 🥺😭
- …. tell me why when he said boyfriend I immediately thought of Reggie I hate myself for wishing fahsdjkfsafj
- okay as cheesy and corny and awful the fight scene is since they posted a clip of it, them working together is so refreshing and nice we love leader!Veronica bc she’s so good at it. but the show only cares for Betty which is funny since she’s an awful detective fbahsdjfj
- my god enough with Jason’s body!!!!!!!!! you burned his body please let him stay dead let his body rest
- okay but the back and forth from Betty and Jessica is so good like I wish we could get that kind of rivalry drama type stuff all the time. too bad they refuse to let Veronica act like a normal person and get angry at being cheated on and such :/ when will Veronica slap the fuck out of Betty
- he’s not a blameless victim but Betty take responsibility for how awful a person you are PLEASE
- THE VOICEMAILLLLLLL Jughead only speaks the truth! it’s weird that he only realized what we all knew about Betty after but whatever, finally he gets upset like damn. also jeronica crumb he’s the only one to ever include Veronica smh ALSO Cole acted the fuck outta this voice mail muah
- the way Betty just sits there uncaring… she really is a freak huh god when will someone punch her in the face and take her ego down a million notches she’s so annoying
- “that’s darkness.” …?? what?
- the way bh’s relationship parallels jughead’s with Jessica though. the unhealthy habits, the bad energy, etc. except Jessica left it and Betty didn’t and it turned Betty into whatever the fuck this is. I miss s1 Betty :/
- so when will they sue Jessica for drugging them? mmhm probably never
- poor Tabitha being the only one who cares about jughead tho
- oh no I forgot there was a random musical number…
- you’re gonna have Betty and Tabitha act like THAT and not put them together so rude
- when will Cheryl be free from her mom. is was like turned on by abuse or something sigh why do the toxic (and most boring!) parents get plots and screen time and everyone else doesn’t...
- Veronica would be able to do Moree than pepper spray but whatever only Betty is allowed be “badass"
- fangs being fangs ugh so sexy my babyyyyy
- Trevor Stines is so attractive it’s a shame they only bring him back for five seconds to traumatize Cheryl over and over again though </3
- wow varchie in a pop’s booth what season is this again??
- god it’s so upsetting how amazing varchie would have been as just friends…
- the way he smiled at Veronica was so contradicting to the blank, “please don’t” expression when she was telling him she was gonna get divorced as fast as possible. why can’t he just admit he doesn’t want to be with her!!!!!! my god they’ve put off barchie long enough just let them be together so their characters can finally act in character and stop being so awful and annoying
- “this cause” what cause you fucking weirdo
- not Hiram threatening the mayor he could literally be your downfall if we had good writers fjasdkjfasf
- jughead how would you have killed him with a small wooden basket
- I like doc so much but I know we’ll never see him again until we randomly need him seasons from noow
- Betty wasn’t hit by the drugs until after the message though… how would she not remember? it didn’t seem to be doing anything to Betty until the bunker
- hopefully since they’re friends now Tabitha can make Betty act like a decent human being <3
- the way Tabitha looked at Betty please stop doing this to me...
- maybe we can finish that dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jabitha rising bughead dying we love to see it!
wow that episode felt like it was two hours long but thankfully I finally finished it… don’t have many actual thoughts but anyways hope you enjoyed my live blog of my thoughts!

Gladys & FP//i hope one day you can forgive me
Request: would you write Gladys Jones x reader x fp jones? Can I request and Gladys Jones x reader x fp jones where the reader felt like she wasn't good enough for them so she left them but all three of them are miserable but Fp and Gladys don't know what to do to get her back but Jughead and Jellybean do sorta of like a parent trap and they show her how much there parents miss her and Gladys and Fp tell her how much she means to them how much they love her and how perfect she is to them make her agree if she ever gets insecure like that she will she will talk to them and she ageees and comes home and super fluffy ending with the whole family
hey! how’s everyone days been? i hope you like this!
“Mom! Dad! We’re home!” Jughead’s voice echoes through the house but it doesn’t shake Gladys and FP from their daze, not even Jellybean slamming the door behind the two of them before joining in Jughead’s shouts can do that. Its not until Jughead is kneeling in front of the pair and Jellybean is sat beside her mom, giving her a gentle shake that they even acknowledge the presence of their children.
Gladys’ grip on a piece of paper tightens as she blinks out of her daze, glancing at Jellybean and then Jughead, both of which have worried expressions clouding their faces, something neither parent had seen for a while, not since you came into the family’s life.
Even the thought of you makes Gladys want to cry, and the tears forming in her eyes take both Jughead and Jellybean by surprise, they’d seen their dad cry plenty of times, but nobody has seen Gladys Jones cry, they weren’t even sure she could.
“Mom?” JB is the first to break the tense silence filling the house. Her voice is quiet, unsure as she looks at Gladys and Jughead is trying to coax his dad from the far away stare he seems to be stuck in. “Is everything okay? Where’s Y/n?” She asks, now suddenly aware of the lack of your presence. Jughead also joins in on the confusions, taking a quick look around the living room. His eyes stop by the front door, your shoes no longer a trip hazard, your coat no longer hanging by the rest of the families and your bag no longer on the chair. Both parents stay silent, FP looks at his hands and Gladys grips the letter even harder than before, her knuckles turning white as she tries and fails to hold back her tears.
“Dad?” Jughead asks. “Whats wrong? Where’s Y/n?”
“Gone.” FP barely manages to get the single word out, and as soon as it passes his lips both him and Gladys can’t hold back their tears any longer.
When they left for work this morning they were happy, finally life made sense. They were doing amazing, each and everyone of the family, they weren’t just surviving like they used to. FP had pressed quick kisses to yours and Gladys’ cheek before he rushed out the door. Gladys had kissed you sweetly, muttering a quick i love you, as well as telling you to have a good day off and to relax. Jughead had stolen the toast you were eating, the two of you laughing as you practically pushed him out of the front door, and you’d ran down the drive barefoot after Jellybean to give her her lunch after she’d forgotten it...again.
Because Gladys was usually the first one home, she’d expected to find you catching up on TV or with your head buried in a book. And then you’d stop whatever you were doing when you’d hear the front door open, a bright smile on your face as she’d walk in and sit beside you, the two of you talking about your day and what to have for dinner.
FP was finishing early today so he was hoping to hear the sound of you and Gladys’ laugh filling the entire house as he walked through the the front door. What he didn’t expect was a dark house with Gladys sat alone on the sofa, holding a piece of paper so tightly that it had started to rip. He had to coax it from her, and he sat beside her as he read it, feeling just as empty as she did. She’s snatched it back as soon as her husband had finished reading it, wanting to desperately hold on to the last trace of you despite how sad it was.
The words not good enough and better off without me rang in each of their heads like an alarm, deafening and unescapable. You seemed so happy this morning...what happened?
Jellybean and Jughead had told you that they’d both be late home tonight. Jughead was going on a date with Betty and Jellybean was hanging out with a few friends, but they fully expected to see you when they came back. Stood in the kitchen making food, while their mom made the table and their dad poured drinks. The whole house would be filled with the smell of food and the sound of laughter, but when they walked in tonight, it was like there was nothing. Like someone had sucked the entire life out of it.
The two siblings share a puzzled look after the one-worded answer. Jughead decides to take it upon himself to find out more and as much as he doesn’t want to upset his parents, he needs to know where you are.
“What do you mean gone? Is she okay?” He asks and looks between his mom and dad, the two adults looking more broken than he’s ever seen them.
“She’s just gone.” Gladys shrugs and drops the note to the floor. Jughead looks between his mom and the crumpled paper on the floor before he hesitantly picks it up and smooths it out.
Dear Gladys and FP,
I’m sorry to do this now, but I know if I didn’t then I would never do it and we’d all be stuck.
First thing...I’m sorry. I’m so sorry to you, and to the kids. Tell Jughead and Jellybean that I’m sorry for doing this and that I’m always going to love them. I’m always going to love you two, too. But thats my problem. I love you all so much, but I’m not good enough for you...for any of you. I have loved every moment I’ve got to spend with you. You’re my favourite memories and I’ll cherish them forever, but I think you guys are better off without me.
This thought started off slowly, like a small niggling in the back of my mind that I could just forget if I tried hard enough. But then it grew and grew and I just couldn’t get it out of my head. You’re all better without me. You’re both amazing and kind and smart and funny and you finally have everything figured out and I’m none of those things and I don’t have anything figured out. I’m a grown ass adult and I’m still trying to figure my life out and I fear that with all of the stress you’ve been going through, I’ll just be adding to it. Thats why I didn’t talk to you about this.
I hope one day you can forgive me.
All my love,
Y/n x
Jellybean had moved from beside her mom to stand next to Jughead, the two of them reading silently, before looking at their parents.
“Oh.” Jughead states sadly.
“She’s gone.” Jellybean adds, the two of them finally understanding what they meant.
Gladys is the first to stand, she doesn’t say anything as she slowly walks to the bedroom, slamming the door behind her. FP stands up soon after the sound makes the house rattle, wiping his tears as he forces a smile to look at his children.
“What do you guys want for your dinner?” He asks and the two of them look at each other.
“Pizza?” JB suggests and FP nods.
“Good idea. Go get a menu.” He says and she silently walks past him towards the kitchen.
“She’ll come back.” Jughead hugs his dad and FP so desperately wants to believe his son, but there’s something about your letter that seemed so final. “The three of you were made for each other.” He adds and FP pats him on the back before letting go and joining Jellybean in the kitchen.
----
The next morning rolls by slowly. The sun seemingly taking forever to rise again and drag both Gladys and FP out of their suddenly constant state of darkness.
Jughead and Jellybean get ready for school in a quiet household, both parents still in their room. Usually mornings are full of busy, they’re always loud and Jughead always hates it, especially when he’s stayed up late writing but today he misses the loudness. Jellybean makes her coffee alone, instead of having you standing beside her making everyone’s lunches, and the two of you race to see who can drink it the quickest before the five of you are rushing out the front door, usually late for school and work.
“Mom? Dad?” Jughead knocks on the bedroom door. Jellybean is opposite him, leaning her head against the frame as they wait for an answer. To their surprise, Gladys is the one that opens it, her hair messy and her face blotchy as she walks past them.
“You kids want a lift?” She asks and grabs her keys off the coffee table, freezing for a few seconds when she see’s the keyring of the five of you. They look at each other shocked, but nod anyway, grabbing their bags and jackets before following Gladys out of the front door.
“Is dad going to work today?” Jellybean asks from the backseat.
“No.” She shakes her head. “He’s sick and so am I.”
“Okay.” She nods and looks out of the window as Gladys pull out of the drive. “Have you tried talking to her?” She asks cautiously and Jughead glances at her quickly before looking at their mom.
“No, I haven’t JB!” Gladys snaps. “But even if we did she wouldn’t answer. She made herself very clear, she doesn’t thinks she’s good enough for us and me and your father have spent the entire night trying to think of a way to make her see that she’s one of the best things in our life, but we’ve got nothing. So maybe we’re the one’s that aren’t good enough her instead of the other way round. Now can we please drop it?” Her knuckles grip the steering wheel tightly and Jughead is certain the thing is going to break, but Jellybean mumbles a quiet sorry and she relaxes a little and she pulls up outside her school.
Both Jughead and Jellybean share a look as of to say they’ll find you before she jumps out of the car.
And thats exactly what they do.
----
“Are you sure this is where she is?” Jughead asks as he pulls up outside a suburban home.
The town they’re in reminds them a lot of Riverdale, even the houses look the same with perfectly trimmed lawns and white picket fences, and Jughead can’t help but think that there’s probably a lot less crime here than in Riverdale. Plus they passed a diner than kind of looked like Pop’s and he needs to know if the burgers are better or worse.
“Yes.” Jellybean replies as she jumps off the bike and pulls the helmet off her head. “This is where her parents live, and what do you do when something bad happens? You go back home.” She replies annoyed making him hold his hands up defeated.
“Okay. Okay. Whatever you say.” He says, also taking his helmet off. The two of them start to walk up the drive, however Jellybean stops halfway up. “Whats wrong?”
“What are we supposed to say to her when she answers the door? We know you left but Mom and Dad haven’t left their room in three days and we miss you so can you please come home?”
“Errr.” Jughead thinks for a moment before shrugging. “Yeah. Something like that.” He laughs making her smile and he drapes an arm over her shoulders as the two of them walk the other half of the path to your front door. “Everything is going to be okay.” Jughead says aloud and Jellybean nods before pressing the doorbell.
“Hold on!” You call out and quickly pause the show you were watching.
Say what you want about breakups, but they are damn good excuse to sit on your sofa, wallowing in self pity and catching up on your favourite TV shows.
Three days ago you made the biggest decision of your life, but it was for the best. Gladys and FP deserve to be with someone thats going to make them happy and help them improve and you’re just not that person for them. So, once everybody had gone, you packed up the majority of your things, wrote a letter and left your once happy life behind, never to be seen again.
Well, at least thats what you thought.
“Jughead? Jellybean?” You ask in disbelief once you’ve opened the front door.
When you left three days ago, you never expected to see two of the most important people in your life stood on your doorstep, but you can’t say you’re not at least a little happy to see them again. “What are you doing here?” You poke your head out of the door and look around for any signs of Gladys or FP but when you see they’ve come alone you have to hide your disappointment, instead crossing your arms while you wait for an explanation. They look at each other for a few seconds and you can tell they’re trying to figure out what to say, but eventually Jughead just sighs before telling you the truth.
“We’ve come to get you.” He says and Jellybean nods beside him, the two of them looking at you hopefully.
“Mom and Dad really miss you. They’ve barely left their room. Basically our entire life is falling apart without you and we don’t know how else to fix it. We need you.” Jellybean says, tears forming in her eyes and you can’t help but hug her, wrapping an arm around Jughead also, the three of you standing on your porch, hugging each other very awkwardly.
You take a deep breath before letting them go, and no matter how much your heart is screaming at you to go back, you have to listen to your head.
“I know you’re just trying to help. But...this is for the best. For everyone. Your parents, and you guys. You deserve someone so much better than me. Someone that can make you all happy.”
“But you make us all happy.” Jellybean argues and Jughead places a comforting hand on her upper arm.
“I’m sorry. But you guys are better off without me. I don’t want to let you down anymore than I already have. Please, go.” You plead, unable to hold back the tears and Jughead nods before pulling Jellybean down the drive. “I’m sorry!” You call after them and Jughead sends you a sympathetic nod before giving Jellybean her helmet.
Closing the door on them is the hardest thing you’ve ever done, maybe even harder than leaving them the first time and tears fall freely down your face as you sit down on the cold floor. You’re sat there for about five minutes until you hear knocking again and you quickly wipe the tears from your face before opening it quickly.
“Yeah, erm. I know you wanted to leave Riverdale and all its memories behind, but my bike won’t start...” Jughead scratches the back of his neck awkwardly while you stare at him confused.
“What?”
“I don’t know whats wrong with it. It was fine on the way here but now it won’t start and its starting to get dark.” He says and the two of you look towards the bike, which is being kicked gently by Jellybean.
“Get in the damn car.” You sigh and grab your keys earning a small smile from Jughead and a bright grin from Jellybean as she practically skips to your car. “I’ll drop you off and then get someone to look at your bike okay?”
----
“Mom! Dad! We’re home!” Jellybean basically sprints into the house, her loud voice drawing the attention of the two adults and they both let out a sigh of relief as she runs towards them.
“Where the hell have you been?” Gladys’ voice is angry, despite the tight hug she’s giving her daughter, and when Jughead walks in not long after he’s also pulled into it.
“We’ve been worried sick about you.” FP is the next to hug them, smacking Jughead on the back of the head lightly as he does.
“Hey!” He rubs his head. “I was doing you a favour.”
“We both were.” Jellybean corrects her older brother and he rolls his eyes, pushing her a little.
“What? By disappearing for an entire day and not telling us where you were going?” Gladys replies sarcastically and you can’t help the giggle that escapes your lips as you listen to how she’s trying disguise her concern with anger.
Both FP and Gladys stop what they’re doing when they hear you.
“Y/n?” FP is the first to speak and you sigh before walking through the front door, an awkward smile on your face as you wave at both of them.
“Whats happening?” Gladys asks. Jughead is about to start speaking but you cut in before he has a chance, it should be you thats telling them why their children ran away.
“They came to talk to me.” You explain and they both glance between you and their kids, both of which are smiling sweetly at their parents.
“And then my bike broke down so she very kindly brought us back, because she’s great.” Jughead interrupts making you roll your eyes.
“Thanks.” Gladys mumbles, refusing to make eye contact with you.
“Yeah.” FP agrees. “And sorry they turned up at your house.”
“Its fine.” You shake your head and look around your once shared home. “I should be going.”
“Wait!” Jellybean shouts causing you to stop in your tracks. Part of you hoped it would be Gladys or FP shouting after you, begging you not to go, but it breaks your heart even more when its Jellybean saying it and you can’t help yourself be a little more angry with yourself for leaving not only her parents, but also her and Jughead.
“Didn’t you guys say something about some of her stuff still being in the bedroom?” Jughead asks casually and the three of you turn to look at him.
“Oh, yeah, err. Some of your clothes were in the laundry basket, and I think you left some stuff in the bathroom.” FP replies and points to the bedroom.
“Oh.” You nod. “Thanks, I’ll go get them.” You add before quickly walking up the stairs. Gladys follows and goes straight to the bathroom, she can’t bare you being here and not being happy but she also doesn’t want you to leave so she decides to grab your things from the bathroom so she can give them to your herself.
It doesn’t take you long to gather the rest of your things, just a few t-shirts and some underwear and you quickly stuff them into your bag. Taking one last look around the bedroom, you close the door behind you just like Gladys likes it and FP hates before walking into the bathroom.
Gladys looks at you as you walk in and her lips part like she’s going to say something but at the last minute she decides against it, instead leaving the two of you in silence.
FP comes up the stairs a few minutes later and stands in the doorframe before asking if you need any help. You’re just about to say you’re okay when he’s pushed towards you and the door is slammed shut. Both you and Gladys manage to catch him before he pushes you into the bath and then the three of you are banging on the door trying to get out.
“Talk to each other and then you can come out.” Jughead replies from the other side and you don’t really know what you expected from him and his sister.
“Boy! Let us out!” FP bangs on the door loudly but they both ignore him.
“I’m sorry. We can’t hear you over the banging!” He shouts making you and Gladys laugh softly. The sound surprises all of you and you look between Gladys and FP, both of them with unreadable expressions on their face.
“So. How are you doing?” FP asks and it takes a moment for you to realize that he’s actually talking to you.
“Me? I’m okay.” You shrug. “How are you two?”
“We’re...fine.” Gladys replies and you nod.
“We miss you.” FP says quickly and you look at him surprised.
“I miss you too.” You admit whilst sitting on the edge of the bath. They sit beside you and all three of you stare at the floor. “These three days have been the hardest three days of my life and I once had to look after all four of you when you all got food poisoning.”
“I remember that.” Gladys grimaces, but there’s something else in her voice, almost a smile.
“That was gross.” FP adds.
“Yeah, it was.” You agree and the three of you laugh slightly.
“Come back to us.” He says and you suck in a breath, your eyes starting to water.
“I can’t. Like I said, you deserve better.”
“Like hell we do. We deserve you. Actually, no we don’t.”
“FP!” Gladys says annoyed.
“I’m not finished yet.” He replies, equally annoyed and you roll your eyes at their arguing...its nice to know something hasn’t changed. “We don’t deserve you. We have done a lot of bad things in our lifetime, but you my love, you’re one of the only things we’ve ever gotten right. You make us better people, you make us happy and safe and you make us think that maybe the world isn’t as much of a shitty place than we originally thought. You’re the best influence on our kids, better than we ever could be and you make them feel loved and safe and like they can do anything. We all love you, and you are definitely good enough for us.”
“We’ll spend the rest of our lives making you know that. But please come back. I don’t think we’ll be able to cope without you. We’re already falling apart and you’ve only been gone for three days.” Gladys adds.
The three of you sit in silence for a few minutes, the only thing that can be heard is your sniffles and their deep breaths as they pray you’ll stay. FP grabs one of your hands and Gladys grabs the other, both of them giving it a reassuring squeeze and you take a deep breath.
“Okay.” You agree and they look at you.
“You’ll stay?” FP asks, his voice is full of hope, despite how much he tries to stay casual.
“Yeah.” You nod. “And I’m sorry I ever left. Can you forgive me?” You look at both of them individually and they share a look before a bright smile makes its way to each of their faces.
“Of course!”
Gladys is the first to kiss you, its rough and full of passion but it shows how much she’s missed you and you return it with just as much enthusiasm. Once Gladys pulls away for breath your turn to face FP and its his turn to kiss you, this one is much gentler but it still shows you how much he’s missed you, especially when his hands cup your face.
“Are you guys doing it in there?” Jughead asks as he knocks on the door and the moment is ruined.
“No.” You reply. “But we are back together.”
“So let us out now!” Gladys bashes on the door and it opens, revealing Jellybean and Jughead smiling brightly at you all.
“I can’t believe your plan actually worked.” Jughead whispers as they watch the three of you walk down the stairs.
“What can I say? When in doubt say your bike’s broken down.” Jellybean shrugs, a smug smirk on her face as she follows you, happy that her family is back together.

A Snake’s Truth: A Sweet Pea x OC FanFic. My Reaction After 1 Year.
Tumblr media
There will be spoilers in this so if you want to read it before or at all here is a link:
A Snake's Truth
Masterlist
One paragraph is about one chapter
My first book with a cast and and Epigraph. I know how dark this book is and yet still no tigger warning, that's a shame. *Note the salty vibes I'm giving myself.* But there is a before you read warning in the first chapter, so it's something. She's Penny Peabody's daughter. She's thinking Cheryl killed Jason. She told FP what she saw. Sweet Pea has her back.
Roxy acting like a leader. FP is kinda protective of her. She doesn't know her father. She's grounded. FP has decided to go sober amd is asking her help to clean up the trailer to get her out of her trailer. Penny and her just got into another fight. FP was arrested for Jason Blossom's murder.
Roxy doesn't believe the confession. Clifford Blossom committed suicide. Penny drunkenly kicked her out. Fangs just told her Sweet Pea is in love with her.
Sweet Pea knows about the abuse. Welcome to Southside High Jughead Jones. Jughead went to Penny and Roxy is pissed.
Jughead got beat up. Penny won't sign the emancipation papers. He knows that Penny was also her pimp and that's where the chapter ends.
Jackson? I don't remember writing that. She's gonna go on a date with Sweet Pea. Roxpea is their ship name. They ran out of snack and went to go get more and ran in Archie. They kissed, Roxy and Sweet Pea did.
They are officially dating. Serpents are going to war with Archie for pulling a gun on Sweet Pea and Roxy. Sweet pea asked her to stand back. Jackson is her twin brother. She's having a break down because she thought she sounded like her mother. So she's dying her hair purple. Jughead is getting initiated. And it is out, Alice Cooper used to be a serpent.
Time for the Gaulet. Betty broke up with Jughead. Jughead passed. They alway end up getting interrupted. They had sex. Toni and Fangs are giving the two shit about it. FP called her. The raid, her and Jughead were able to get out.
FP is her father. Tall Boy just said so. She went to go yell at her mom, then to go see FP. Penny murdered Jackson. FP made a promise to stay sober after his release. Roxy is racing the Ghoulies.
Archie called the cops on her race and she's pissed. Archie also now has a black eye. Jughead thinks running drugs for Penny is one time thing.
Roxy is telling him what to expect. This chapter is kinda cringey. She's telling her mom to fuck off again.
They didn't take her advice, FP is getting out. FP just got out of prison.
She's moving in with Jughead and FP. She's changing her last name to Jones. FP is also going to try to get custody of her. Talking about thr retirement party for FP.
FP broke his promise at the retirement party. She staying at Sweet peas until he gets his shit together. FP won't sign the emancipation papers unless he sees Roxy. To take down a penny Peabody. Everyone knows she killed her son.
Roxy just said that she ever sees her mother again she's going to kill her. She is permanently living with sweet pea now. He went back to AA.
Southside high's officially closed. Now they went to Riverdale High School and then shit hit the fan. When Reggie has to be worn that Roxy is the most violent serpent. I'm pretty sure Sweet peas just there to hold Roxy down until it's time to let Roxy fight someone.
The beginning of the sword and serpents but Roxy has a condition no Betty or any northsider. She has a headache and it makes her want to kill her brother because he's being annoying. Roxy is going to kill Reggie because he just cat called her. She got a suspension, Toni tried to stop her but failed but then again she didn't try very hard. FP is just happy that she didn't pull her knife out on him.
The Pickens day protest. Sheriff Keller stop by. She's going to her mom's old trailer after school. She may or may not have run down her trailer. She went to the mayor's office with Jughead. Penny is back.
She exposed her mother to the whole entire South side serpents. Toni punched penny. Seen her almost kill Penny scared the shit out of FP. so she was at the junkyard relieving some anger but hitting things with a baseball bat and she found the head.
Looks like Hiram Lodge doesn't like Roxy. Cheryl's going to go talk to Roxy eventually. Jughead said that he looks to The client list that she gave him and FP looks like he's formulating a kill list.
FP just admitted a lot of things to Jughead. Like how he feels guilty about all this shit happening Roxy and Jackson. Jughead is worried about Roxy. Sweet pea is worried too. Sweet Pea talk to her and he thinks she's planning something that will get her hurt. Toni think she's. trying to protect them. Cheryl blossom came to talk to Roxy. And that night Cheryl blossom and wants to be came unexpected friends.
Sweet pea and Roxy had a fight about what happened. And then skip to the scene where everyone chains themselves to Southside High. Sweet Pea got sick. Cheryl is missing.
Oh shit. Roxy is going hard on Betty. Roxy found out chic killed someone and dragged her family into the mess and she's pissed but she's not going to snitch. And she's spitting out truth to Betty. Jughead is completely missing the point.
Alice came to her trailer to thank her. And she just said that I don't approve of the verbal beating you gave Betty but in my serpent days I would have agreed with you. Midge Klump's death. The rumor of Midge cheating on the bulldog with a serpent. People finding out it was fangs. Fangs being arrested. Then shot and then Roxy sneaking out in the back door of the hospital to where no one notices her leaving. She went to go see her mom. And she's making a deal with Penny. And they made a deal a life for a life Penny loses she dies in the Ghoulies are out of Riverdale forever but if Roxy loses the Ghoulies get Riverdale.
The final chapter. As far as everyone knows fangs is dead. Roxy does walk into the bar bloody and announcing that Penny Peabody is dead. Fangs is actually alive. Everyone made her go to the ER. Roxy is officially the new Serpent Queen. I forgot I made that change in the story, in this fanfic I made Fred Andrews when the election. In the end everything was good.
Overall, not my favorite story. This is one of the stories that was like run on drama and trauma.I'm pretty sure I was originally going to bring back Jackson and that would have been a little more chaotic too. So im going to give it 6/10.

This is my playlist for day 2 of @it-lives-week :) This was so much fun to make and I hope you all like it!
Song explanations under the cut.
a.m. one direction
all my favorite conversations / always made in the a.m. / ‘cause we don’t know what we’re saying + And talking out of our asses / like we’re all gonna make it, yeah yeah
The way I can just see them spending a whole night together talking about nothing and doing fuck all but they’re having a good time because they’re together? I can’t even.
disturbia rihanna
it’s a thief in the night to come and grab you / it can creep up inside you and consume you + it’s too close for comfort
This is them coping with Redfield and everything going on.
loyalty kendrick lamar ft. rihanna
you actin’ shifty, you don’t ride / with me no more, i need / loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
The obvious answer is that this is Noah’s betrayal song, but I actually think it represents the dynamics of the group in that everyone has a different motivation and wants Redfield gone for their own reasons. When that aspect of tension comes into play, we kinda see them turn on each other in small ways.
weird people little mix
we’re just doing what we came to do / ‘cause we’re all weird people / and we love it + don’t let those other suckers hate on you
The sprinkler scene during homecoming made this song a necessity in the playlist. This also just fits their vibe in general, in my opinion.
mad world riverdale cast
and i find it kinda funny / i find it kinda sad / the dreams in which i’m dying are the best i’ve ever had
I’m hilarious, I know. Mad World is in here because I wanted to give the playlist a song about their darker thoughts, but I put the Riverdale version instead of the OG because this playlist is sad enough as it is and I wanted to laugh.
sign of the times harry styles
we never learn, we’ve been here before / why are we always stuck and running from the bullets + we don’t talk enough / we should open up / before it’s all too much
Self-explanatory.
all my friends are dead turbonegro
all my friends are dead / all my friends are dead / got dragged outta bed / now they’re buried and they’re dead
The ILITW writers themselves gave the gang this song because they have a sick and twisted sense of humor and, honestly, I do too. I just imagine the maniacal laugh at the beginning to be the survivor of a “everyone dies” ending trying to stay sane and failing miserably.
1-800-273-8255 logic
i been on the low / i’ve been taking my time / i feel like i’m out of my mind / it feel like my life ain’t mine
I included this song because it reminded me of how they comforted each other when each person hit their lowest point. It also felt like a good turning point for the playlist because we’re departing from sad hours here.
8teen khalid
because i’m eighteen / and i still live with my parents / and then a lie goes / “well, yours are more understanding” + so let’s do all the stupid shit that young kids do
This song just captures the vibe of being a teenager so well and being carefree for the last moments of your life.
cups kurt hugo schneider
when i’m gone / when i’m gone / you’re gonna miss me when i’m gone
The Cup Song is just so nostalgic and I wanted that childhood friends feel for this playlist.
good enough little mix
sorry for the way my life turned out / sorry for the smile i’m wearing now / am i still not good enough?
Did I say that sad hours were over? Oops. I don’t feel like this needs any further explanation, so I’ll just leave this here.
oath cher lloyd
wherever you go, just always remember / that you got a home, for now and forever + this is my oath to you
Please accept this feel good friendship song to make up for my last choice :)
be alright ariana grande
baby don’t you know / all of them tears gon’ come and go / baby you just gotta make up your mind / that every little thing is gonna be alright
Self explanatory.
victorious panic! at the disco
oh we gotta turn up the crazy / livin’ like a washed up celebrity + shooting fireworks like it’s the fourth of july / until we feel alright
I see them ironically yell-singing this at/on the way to a party or school dance.
handclap fitz and the tantrums
need to believe you could hold me down / ‘cause i’m in need of something good right now + and i could make your hands clap
They’re all so talented and unique in their own way.
dynasty miia
all i gave you is gone / thought we built a dynasty that heaven couldn’t shake +
thought we built a dynasty, like nothing ever made / thought we built a dynasty forever couldn’t break up
One last sad bop. For real this time, I promise. This is Noah’s betrayal song. The dynasty in this is like their friendship.
get well soon ariana grande
here’s one thing you can trust / it take you and me to make us +
one of those days you had enough / i’ll be there
This song reminded me of their promise to never split off at the end of the book. Their support system at the end of everything is just >>> and it deserved a spot on the playlist.
kids mgmt
you pick insects off of plants / no time to think of consequences
This felt like a good note to end on. When everything first started, and even as it winded down, they were really just a bunch of feral children trying to figure their lives out. Also, you can’t listen to this song and stay in a bad mood. It’s not possible.
If you read this far, I love you. Hope you enjoyed <3.

🎃 Howling by @lovedinapastlife | T
Jughead’s working a shift at the Blossom haunted house when he spots a familiar blonde ponytail and decides to try and give her a scare. She’s nervous to finish the house by herself, so Jughead offers to let her work on a few scenes and scares with him until Archie comes back from his break. There’s nothing quite like method acting with a childhood crush and best friend when hearts are pounding and limbs are entangled in a ravenous display. 🎃 the business of being dead (and the curse of virginity) by @thetaoofbetty | M
🎃 The Cooper House by @satelliteinasupernova | T
“Let’s go to a haunted house, Jughead,” Jellybean had said. “It’ll be fun,” she said.
Except, now he was turned around somewhere in a dark hallway; alone. With no source of light nearby, he could barely make out his surroundings. Tentatively, he reached out to use the wall to guide him, taking one step at a time. The surface of the wall was uneven and with each step he felt another notch as his hand moved across one panel of wood to the next. The floor creaked softly under his feet. Here in the dark, it was unnervingly quiet. The only other sound he could hear was of the wind passing through the trees outside the house.
“Hey, JB?” he called out. “Where the hell did you go?”
🎃 The First Halloween Since by @typing123 | G
Single Mom Betty doesn’t think she can face Halloween this year. She just wants a quiet night in with her daughter. Jughead’s not so sure.
THE HOUSE IS NOT HAUNTED by @satelliteinasupernova | T
“For the hundredth time, the house is not haunted,” said Gladys Jones as she lifted another box from the U-haul to carry into the house. “Now, go help your brother carry your things to your bedroom.”
JB huffed, and marched over to Jughead, reaching for her box of vinyl records, “How else did we get this place so cheap? You know it’s because that girl disappeared here.”
Silently, Jughead agreed with her, but he was getting tired of the argument. He knew JB wasn’t bringing this up to stop them from moving into the new house, she just wanted their mom to admit that was the reason they could even afford it. Gladys Jones wasn’t one to own up to her own methods, much less admit weakness.
The Hunger by @mistressofmalplaquet | M
Betty is being slowly starved at the Farm, while Jughead is hungry for blood. Hunger and seductive Blood Lust leads the pair into a swirl of terror, torture, and an inescapable dark fate.
🎃 The Jack-O-Gram by @noorakardemmomesaetre | T
The Jack-O-Gram has become the perfect way for Riverdale High students to express their feelings for someone special before the Halloween Banshee Bash at the end of the week.
Betty can't help but hope she receives one from the only boy who's ever captured her heart, Jughead Jones.
the key to (harm)ony by @lovedinapastlife | E
Everything else falls away, even her mother, sister, and Geraldine, when he steps towards her, untethered and confident with the grace of a circulating fountain. Up close, his eyes are blue - brilliant and deep like Sweetwater River, just on the verge of a knowing wink. His long spider-leg lashes flutter as he exhales in a hum of satisfaction, and the longer she looks at him the more it feels like she’s in the tub, water rising up over her chin until she can’t breathe.
“Hello, Betty,” he says with a soft, secret smile, and her heart rattles.
~~~
Betty resents her drunken mother's attempt to replace the recently deceased Charles with a stranger, his enigmatic half-brother Jughead. It's almost like he's waiting for the right moment to please her, to slink into her latest mystery and submerge her in something foreign: Freedom.
🎃 The Mouse by @typing123 | G
A hungry Jughead is lured into the woods on Halloween by a hungry vampire.
🎃 The One That I Want by @dreamersshouldknowbetter | T
Betty and Jughead meet at a Halloween party where they accidentally form two halves of a couples costume
the strange death of Elizabeth Cooper by @wolfofansbach | T
Betty Cooper, after a long struggle with illness, has passed away. Except–she hasn’t, because against all rhyme and reason, she awakens on the coroner’s slab, hale and healthy. The illness is gone, and she couldn’t be in better condition, to the weeping relief of her friends and family, not least of all her longtime boyfriend, Jughead Jones. No real explanation is forthcoming, but what does it really matter, when Betty is alive? And he can discount the occasional oddity in her behavior. She’s been through a lot, after all. Except, as the days go by and the strange happenings pile on, Jughead begins to suspect that whatever it is that crawled out of the grave that day isn’t really Betty Cooper.
🎃 the unexpected perks of being a pumpkin by @thetaoofbetty | M
Jughead Jones has a damn good Halloween.
🎃 Things that Go Bump in the Night by @createandconstruct | T
Are sometimes things that also squeal…
Thrill Me, Chill Me, Fulfill Me by @ms-maj | T
The gang does Rocky Horror.
Time Honoured Tradition by @jugandbettsdetectiveagency | T
When Cheryl dares Betty to spend some time in the abandoned house across the street she gets a little more than she bargained for.
What Happened on Elm Street by @tory-b | M
When Jughead Jones moves to Riverdale with his family, he uncovers a few mysteries this simple small town has been trying to cover up–specifically the murder that occurred in his house during the late 1950s that was never properly solved. Unable to keep his curiosity away, he teams up with neighbor and fellow mystery lover Betty Cooper to uncover the truth.
🎃 what we pretend to be by @sylwrites | G
It’s his little sister’s first Halloween, but his parents don’t have money for a costume or the time to take her trick-or-treating. The answer to both of these problems comes in the form of his best friend’s neighbour.
🎃 What’s Your Favourite Scary Movie? by @gellsbellshead | T
Betty Cooper doesn’t do scary movies. However maybe she could be persuaded by some cuddling from her boyfriend Jughead. This is a continuation of the fic “Movie Night”
🎃 when things go bump and grind at night by @rainystripe | M
Betty dresses up and Jughead is her slave.
Wild Creatures by @lilibetts | E
Neither Betty Cooper or Jughead Jones were particularly hopeful about their soulmarks; the inky black First Words seemed custom built for their hole-hearted selves. But with a mysterious game ensnaring students on campus, and killing some, it was a question of whether they would learn to work together before them being at cross-purposes destroyed everything.
🎃 Wish Fulfillment by @lilibetts | T
On Halloween, the core four meet up to go Trick-or-Treating, only to find themselves turning into their costumes. Revelations are had for Jughead and Betty.
🎃 won’t you tell me what you’re thinking of? by @flwrpotts | G
Betty enlists Jughead, Reggie, and Archie to help her set up for the annual Riverdale middle school Halloween dance.
Night of Terror
Tumblr media
Words : 1680
Warnings : swearing and mentions of sex
 A/N: this is for both @southsidearchive theme 1 and @riverdale-events theme 3
          "Get down!" Sweet Pea grabbed your arm and forced you to duck behind a parked car as another passed by on the street. You peeked around the car to watch as the cars tail lights disappear.
          You leaned back next to Sweet Pea and burst into giggles. It couldn't be helped. The thrill of what Sweet Pea and you had planned tonight had you giddy. When it was clear that you weren't going to stop, Sweet Pea grabbed your face and pecked you softly.
          "Sh..." He murmured but it seemed that your giddiness was contagious and he too started to laugh with you. "You do this every year." He punctuated each word with kiss.
          "I'm sorry. I just get so excited." You kissed him once more before pulling back and resting your hands on his neck. "You ready?"
Sweet Pea grabbed a duffel bag that was beside him and yanked it open. He had you check to see if the cost was clear, he tossed you a package from the bag.
          "Put your hood up." Sweet Pea whispered, doing the same. He motioned for you follow him up into the Cooper yard. "Ready?" He grinned when you nodded, both of you let loose in covering the trees, bushes and grass with rolls of toilet paper.
          "Maybe now the crazy bitch will think twice before blaming the Southside for everything." Sweet Pea flipped the closed door off before grabbing your hand and rushing back to the duffel bag. "Which on next?"
          "I wanna fork Archie's yard." You giggle and grab a box plastic forks from the bag and almost skipped next door.
          Halloween pranks were your things. There was something about the ambiance of a fall night, creepy decorations, and spending the night with Sweet Pea. All that just seemed to melt the stress of life away. And in a town like Riverdale, there was always stress.
          For the past three years, Sweet Pea and you had been terrorizing both the North and Southside with your pranks. It was when you had dared to cross the lines of friends to couple.
          "This is really a stupid prank Sweet Pea." You sighed and tossed the empty can of spray paint in the bag on the ground.
          "Hey, you asked me to come pranking with you. And that I could choose a few of my own. I think this is a good one." He stood back and admired his handy work.
          "Its juvenile..." With a sigh and shake of your head, you turned to look for a new house to terrorize. "Painting penis' in the grass is something I expect from a twelve year old."
          Sweet Pea glared at you for a minute before stomping his way over to you.
          "Look, I didn't have to come out. I could be at the Wyrm right now, playing pool and making bank. I don't need to be criticized by you (Y/N)." You glared right back at him, upset that the evening was taking a sour turn so soon. "Honestly, why the hell did you even ask me out here anyways? Thought you liked to spend your nights with Fangs." He snapped bitterly.
          "In case you haven't noticed, Fangs isn't exactly the most stealthy of people. And what does Fogarty and I hanging out have to do with any of this. And why do you care?" You snapped back.
          "I don't." Sweet Pea scoffed and threw his empty can into a bag also. "Just pointing out that you seem to like the new Serpent." There was something off in his voice.
          "Yeah, I like him." You watched as Sweet Pea's whole body tensed up. "But he is seriously the human embodiment of a puppy. And why the hell do you sound so..." It took a moment for you figure it out. "Jealous." You mumbled. Sweet Pea scoffed again, crossing his arms and refusing to make eye contact.
          The air was still and quiet, the moment stretching to feel like an eternity.
          "I am." He sighed, still not making eye contact. "It used to be us and I thought it was always going to be just us." He waved his hand between the both of you. "And then some new kid comes along and it's not just us anymore. You're always off with him and it's like you don't even have time for me anymore. It's almost like you've replaced me. Are we even still the same friends were?"
          Your heart started to beat a little faster. Taking a deep breath, you steeled yourself to reveal you're deepest secret to him. This may be the only time you were presented with the opportunity
          "I don't want to be friends anymore, Sweet Pea." You admitted softly and had to look away from the look of absolute heartbreak on his face. You reached out and grabbed his arm as he tried to storm past you, rushing the next sentence out. "I can't keep being friends with you because I'm in love with you."
          And for the second time that night, everything was still. Sweet Pea slowly turned to look at you, unreadable look on his face.
          "I can't be just friends with you anymore Pea. I-"
          "How long." His voice was soft, you almost missed it. You shrugged, hugged your arms around yourself and looked at the ground. "(Y/N/N)..." He lifted your chin gently, "Talk to me."
          "For a couple years." He sighed and inquired as to why you never said anything. "Because i didn't want to lose this, what we have. You're like, one of the most important people in my life Sweets. But I just can't pretend anymore. I'm sorry."
          "Don't." He sighed and pulled you into a tight hug. "You don't need to pretend with me." He sighed again and pressed soft kisses to the top of your head. It felt relieving to finally get it all off your chest. For a long while the two of you staying like that, holding each other.
          "I love you." He said into your hair. "I have for what felt like forever."
"We're both stupid." You laughed, pulling back slightly. "Wanna be stupid together?"
          "Is that even a question." Sweet Pea grinned and leaned down to brush his lips over yours.
          "I think we're done here." You sighed happily and took a step back to admire your hard work. There were a couple dozen forks stuck in the Andrew yard. With a look down the street, you could see that Sweet Pea and forked three more lawns.
          You meet up at the end of the street, almost every house having been vandalized. The both of you just stood for a few minutes, admiring handiwork.
          "We still have time for one more prank." Sweet Pea said, pulling out his phone to check the time.
          "And I," You stood on tiptoes and places a chaste kiss to lips. "Know exactly what I want to do."
                                          ~*~
          The hallways of Riverdale were always packed first thing in the morning, that's why you opted to wait in the student lounge with Sweets until last minute. That's where Betty Cooper and friends found the pair. Sitting together in one of the arm chairs and playfully thumb wrestling. They were both laughing and smiling but Sweet Pea sobered up when the group stormed over to them.
          "My mother is furious." Betty snapped plopping down on the couch, glaring at you. "She wants to press charges for vandalism as soon as she has proof."
          "Um... What the hell are you talking about, Betty?" You feigned ignorance.
          "Don't play innocent." Archie leaned over the couch behind Betty, frowning. "My dad broke half of those forks before he gave up. How the hell are we suppose to get those out?"
          "What make you so sure-" Sweet Pea started defensively before Jughead cut him off.
          "Byrdie overheard you at the Wyrm running prank ideas to Fangs Sweet Pea. She told my dad who asked me to keep you two in line."
          "Swell job." You rolled your eyes. Jughead scoffed and slumped into the seat next tot Betty. "Look, there is no way to prove it was us. Plus, everything was harmless." You slid off Sweet Pea's lap and grabbed your bag from the floor. "Well, almost all of them were harmless." You gave Sweets a knowing smile.
          "Wait, what does that mean?" Veronica demanded from the other armchair. "What the hell did you do?"
          You didn't a chance to reply because at that moment, a very angry Reggie Mantle stormed into the lounge with some of the Bulldogs stalking behind him.
          "I want to know who the fuck pulled all those pranks on the Northside." He growled while looking at Sweet Pea and I.
          "Why, something happen?" Sweet Pea tried to keep the smile off his face and you 'accidentally' stomped on his foot. Reggie was about to launch at Sweet Pea when you stepping in front of him.
          "Before you try to blame Sweets, you should know we were at the Wyrm all night. Right Jughead?" You turned to your friend and gave him a pleading look. Jughead looked like he wanted nothing more than to choke you.
          "Yeah. They were there all night." He ground out, glaring at you. "What happened to you?"
          "Someone messed with Bella." Reggie hissed, referring to his prized muscle car. "Put jolly ranchers on the windows and then wrapped her in cling wrap. Do you know how long its gonna take to get that shit off?"
          "Sounds like you better get on it then." You wanted to slap Sweets upside the head. Reggie continued to stare you down, fuming before threatening to kill whoever harmed his car and leaving.
          "Are you daft?" Betty nervously ran her hand thru her ponytail.
          "He's mad now." You shrugged and held out a hand for Sweets. He stood and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, leading you towards the hall. "He'll be even madder when he realizes that we fucked on the hood first."
          You could only laugh at the shocked expressions on your friends faces as Sweet Pea and you left, while thinking of pranks for next year.
What’s an Arcade?
Prompt given to me by @sabrieldestielhel, will be cross posted to AO3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robin had never been to an arcade before. Sure, there were plenty of games he could play while he was still traveling with the pagan carnival, but those were all rigged. And none of them were digital. He didn’t even know what an arcade was, until Harvey mentioned it at Dr. Cee’s.
The fright club was sitting at a booth, sipping on milkshakes and reveling in their peace. It had been about a week since they had defeated the pagans, and all was calm. So calm, in fact, that the group really didn’t know what to do with themselves. Theo and Roz were passionately debating some movie they had just seen, with Harvey and Sabrina laughing at their antics. Robin was just shyly smiling and playing with Theo’s fingers, not really paying attention.
“We should go to that new arcade over in Riverdale soon!” Harvey suddenly exclaimed.
Robin looked up at the exclamation, “What’s an arcade?” He asked his friends.
The smiles around the table quickly turned into looks of disbelief. Theo turned to his boyfriend, “You’ve never been to an arcade?”
Robin frowned. “You know where I grew up. I wasn’t really allowed to do anything without my fa-- without the pagans. And even if I could, I didn’t have any friends to do stuff with.”
Theo’s shock turned into a soft smile. “Sometimes I forget. You catch on so fast, that I swear you've done everything before," he turned back to the group, "yea let's do it! This weekend?"
The group nodded and smiled enthusiastically. The plans were made. Saturday around 12pm, Harvey would borrow his dad's bigger truck and pick everyone up. And from there, arcade time.
---
Saturday came fast, as Theo had something to look forward to. Over the past few days, he had tried explaining arcades to Robin. The hobgoblin knew the arcade games from the carnival, but he hadn't known that they could be run by a computer. For all it was worth, the boy was catching on quickly. Google images was a God-send.
Harvey picked up the boys last, and off they went to Riverdale. Theo was bouncing in his seat. He was really excited, as he wanted to win Robin all the prizes. The taller boy just chuckled at his boyfriend next to him. He was going to let Theo win him a prize, even if he was relatively good at carnival games himself.
It took the group about 30 minutes to get to their destination, but when Harvey finally parked the truck, they bolted into the business. Everyone parted ways, except for the boyfriends. Robin was in awe. Sure, he’d seen the pictures on Google, but in person was better than anything it could show him. The arcade was dark, but lit up well by neon sign after neon sign. There was a soft glow of a black light, that made the colors in the carpet shine.
Theo smiled widely at his boyfriend’s expression, and intertwined their fingers, dragging the taller boy further inside. There were rows upon rows of games. Box arcade games, shooting games, dancing games, everything. Theo guided Robin over to the ticket counter, his dad had given the boys $40 for their date.
Grabbing $15 worth of tokens, the boyfriends walked over to the skee-ball game. Inserting 2 tokens into the machine, Theo got ready to roll the balls into the high score spot of 100 points. He made all but two. He laughed and jumped up and down, cheering. Robin smiled widely and clapped, very proud of his boyfriend.
Theo and Robin took turns playing the game a few more times, Robin quickly getting the hang of it. When they decided to move on, they had accumulated about 50 tickets. They needed more if Theo was going to get Robin the huge fluffy bear, which was 1000 tickets.
Suddenly, Robins eyes light up, and he tugged Theo over to a game called Down the Clown. Before Theo could even understand what the game was, his boyfriend had already started. Skillfully throwing balls, Robin knocked clown after clown over. Theo was in awe. His boyfriend didn’t miss one. When the game finally wound down, Robin had the high score, and won 200 tickets.
Theo couldn’t believe his eyes. “Robin...what just happened?”
Robin smiled shyly and glanced down at his shoes. “I was really good at the milk bottles game. I had quite a bit of free time, and I practiced a lot.”
Theo smiled widely and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. “Robgolblin, I cannot begin to tell you how hot that was.”
Robin smiled widely and leaned down to kiss the smaller boy. They only pulled back when they heard coughing coming from Harvey, who had found them sometime before. The boys smiled shyly, and Robin went back to his game, with the group cheering him on. Theo just let Robin have the rest of the tokens, he looked so cute when he was focused.
By the time Robin ran out of tokens, he had obtained 800 tickets. He glanced over at his boyfriend. “I know you wanted to win me a prize. I kinda ruined that didn’t I?”
Theo shook his head and softly kissed the hobgoblin on the cheek. “No Robin it’s ok. I’m having an amazing time watching you own these games. It’s really hot actually.”
The boys went off to play some more games, and by the end of the day, they had obtained 1357 tickets. Robin grabbed Theo’s hand and the couple walked over to the prize counter. Robin smiled slyly at Theo and gave the tickets to the cashier, pointing at the fluffy bear. The cashier smiled and grabbed the bear, handing it to Robin.
Robin grinned widely and pushed the soft bear into Theo’s chest. The smaller boy smiled and hugged it tightly, pressing his cheek into its fur. He would love this forever. With the rest of their tickets, they chose a few small bouncy balls, and some candy. Theo grabbed Robin’s hand with his free one, and the boys walked back to their friends. Harvey was grinning widely, and the girls swooned at the sight of the bear.
On the way home, Theo snuggled into Robin’s side, still hugging the teddy bear to his chest. Robin’s arm was thrown over Theo’s shoulder, and he was running his fingers through the boy's hair. They both had soft smiles on their faces. Sabrina sneakily took a picture of the two and sent it to Theo, who would make it his phone’s background.
When the group finally made it back to Greendale, they stopped at Dr. Cee’s once again, and all ordered their favorite milkshakes. Robin smiled down at a sleepy Theo. It was a great date, and he’d never been happier in his life. He kissed the top of Theo’s head and nuzzled his nose into his boyfriend's hair. They would have to do this again, really soon.
Things Jughead has done for Betty:
Literally risked dying to protect her
Faced off against known serial killers
Repeatedly punched anyone who besmirched (his fave word) her honor
Broke up with her so she wouldn’t get hurt
Told her about his dad and worked with her to get FP out of jail
(I mean, there’s def more, better Bughead fans, pls add?)
Things Betty and Jughead have gone through together:
Polly disappearing
Jug transferring to Southside
G&G taking over the town and causing Archie multiple attempts at his life
The Black Hood
Penny Peabody
The Serpents
The Stonies trying to kill Jug
Things That Make This A Very Healthy Relationship:
Jughead is currently the only one who knows about Betty’s self-harming habits and there is no judgement for it
Mutual unconditional support ( “Jughead has every right to protest”, “whatever you need to do, I support you.”)
Excellent dedication to working out conflict (remember when they got into the fight about Yale, and Jug came home and they cuddled it out? He didn’t know about Betty’s breakdown until Betty’s mom told him, so he was coming home to work things out)
Admitting wrongs and talking about conflict (all previous conflicts have been talked about and worked out)
Honestly a lot of mutual respect. I was really impressed when DuPont asked Jug to tell Betty to kill the story she was writing, and he literally told him that he doesn’t tell Betty what she can and can’t do.
Very common interests. Betty and Jug have their roots as an investigative duo, something that has continued throughout the show.
Tumblr media
Things They Have Said To/About Each Other:
“Jughead was really there for me” “I know who you are”  “I want to know who you are. All of it.”  “I believe you, Jughead.”  “You’re so much stronger than all the white noise.”  “I love you, Betty Cooper.” “Jughead Jones, I love you.”  “I love Jughead. He is as much my family as you are.”  “Whatever you need to do or explore, I support you.”  “You’re not one of the bad guys. You’re Betty Cooper. Like Nancy Drew meets The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.”  “You are a sight for sore eyes.”  “I wish we could just leave.” “Like Romeo and Juliet but we live happily ever after.”  “A signed first edition for my beloved.”  “We. It’s nice to hear that again.”  “Stay.”  “I just want you to know that I love you. I’ll never stop loving you.”  “Our story isn’t over. It’s just beginning” “You’re a good person.”  “Now that I am the serpent king, I was wondering how you felt about being my queen.”  “It was asked between two young people in love.” “If you’re on the frontlines, so am I.”  “From now on, we’re partners. In the serpents, in life, all of it.” “I’m surviving. Because you’re here with me.” “You and I are in this for the long haul.” “If I ever disappeared you would be the one to find me.” “I need my anchor.”  “Don’t threaten my boyfriend with an axe.” “I missed you.” “I’m happy for you and I’m proud of you.”  “I would never ask you to turn down a life-changing opportunity.” “He’s your biggest fan.” “I love you, and I hate it when we fight.” “The man I love.”  “You’re the only man for me.”
Times Where Betty Expressed An Interest in Archie:
- 1x01 and 1x02
- 2x09
- the last three episodes
Look. I get that it’s a teen drama. I get that they’re still in high school and I definitely get there being some part of Betty that wonders what it might be like to end up with Archie, especially during a VERY stressful time.
I would totally get it if they had Betty and Jughead slowly drifting apart, or found ways to establish that they were heading in different directions, or even established that they weren’t the same people they were, and their relationship had simply puttered out. But that has been the opposite of what they’ve showed us the last few episodes. Moreoever, Betty and Archie haven’t even significantly interacted in two seasons. This was all thrown into the last three episodes.
And even if that WERE the case, that Betty and Jug were drifting apart, I would still think they are both not okay for doing this to their respective best friends. Laying aside the fact that Jughead loves Betty completely, and canonically they are planning on going to college together, and her cheating on him, particularly with Archie, would absolutely shatter him, this is the highest of not fair to Veronica. Betty means a lot to her, they’ve established this, so this betrayal of both V and Jug is so very selfish.
Since they have established they WILL finish the season, and if the article can be believed, I can see this going one of three ways:
1. Betty and Archie kiss in 4x17, Betty tells Jug in 4x18. This is my preferred route, but I don’t think it’s the way they’ll go. There’s a chance though, they already went the route of Barchie kissing and not telling anyone. That would get the drama of the love triangle out in the open ASAP, and they’d have a better chance of resolving it before season’s end. Riverdale doesn’t tend to end in romantic cliffhangers.
2. Betty and Archie continue to cheat on their respective significant others, until it all blows up in the finale. This would completely assassinate both Betty and Jughead’s characters, and I don’t see this as being the way they go.
3. Jug and V find out in the last episode, the core four implodes, and we time jump six years. This is probably the most likely scenario.
I gotta say, I’m pretty excited to see B and J find their way back to each other, but really really don’t want a time jump.
Also, to the Barchie fans, I get it. I had several shows where my NOTP was canon for several years, and it was torturous watching. I rejoiced when they broke up. But think of it this way, Barchie would likely be forever tainted by the circumstances of how they got together, and probably never get off the ground. I get you want Barchie, but do you really want it like this?
Bitter Love
Pairing: Sweet Pea X Reader
You hadn’t seen your high school sweetheart in years. When your mere presence at a bank robbery send the thieves running for their lives it’s time you faced your past. Are you ready to?
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: Poisoned Love
“GET ON THE GROUND NOW AND NO ONE GETS HURT!” Screams a man in a black ski mask.
A gun goes off into the air and the fear filled shreeks of the innocent fill the bank. You hold your hands up as one of the robbers come rushing towards you, his hand is reaching towards you to grab your arm when he stops suddenly. His hands are thrown above his head and he calls out to one of the guys waving his gun at the bank teller. He turns and looks over at you before he practically jumps backwards as if terrified of you.
Not only are you confused by these events, but the people around you are now looking at you apprehensively now.
“We didn’t mean it! We didn’t know you were here! We’re sorry!” One of the masked me almost stutter out.
“Umm...okay?”
“Just don’t tell him, okay?” the other is approaching you with his hand out in a gesture of peace as he inches away from you.
“Tell who?”
“Sweet Pea.”
“Sweet Pea?” you ask bewildered.
The guys wince as they hear his name, but they just nod hesitantly before they turn and sprint out of the bank. The bag of money that they had been attempting to steal lying forgotten on the ground.
After the police are finished interviewing you, you’re just sitting in your car. You hadn’t thought of Sweet Pea in years. He had been your high school sweetheart. You had been crazy about each other, but that was a long time ago now. You hadn’t even spoken to him since you broke up in your third year of collage. You had wanted him to leave Riverdale, leave the Serpents and go to school, have a chance at a normal life...with you... You had wanted to build a life with him by your side, but he had chosen the Serpents over you. A fact that had left you bitter and heartbroken for years. Have you ever really gotten over him?
You pull your phone out of your purse and scroll through the contacts.
Your finger hovers over a name you hadn’t spoken in years. You vaguely wonder if their number is even still the same.
You steal yourself and tap the name on your phone wondering why you still even have it listed in your phone. You put the phone to your ear and listen as it rings rhythmically, your breath matching the tone. You hear the familiar click before a very confused “Hello” sounds over the speaker.
“Fangs?” you ask softly.
“(Y/N)?! Is it really you?!” he asks in disbelief.
“Yeah...yeah, it’s me. How are you?” you ask softly.
“I’m good...just wondering why you’re calling me after how many years?”
You laugh awkwardly, “Yeah… I guess this is weird… I didn’t expect you to pick up… I didn’t expect it to be you…”
“It’s because of Sweet Pea isn’t it?”
“Ummm...yeah…”
“Okay,” he murmurs patiently. You always adored Fangs, the two of you were such good friends and you had wanted more for him too.
“I need to see him Fangs, something weird just happened and they mentioned him.”
“What just happened (Y/N)?” you’re surprised at the sharp tone of his voice.
“There was a bank robbery…”
“Did they hurt you?” his voice is steel.
“No…”
“You need to come home… Sweet Pea will explain everything.”
“Come Home?”
“Yeah… I’ll text you the address,” with that the line goes dead without so much as a goodbye, and while you are still staring down at your screen in shock, it dings and an address pops up onto your screen.
You had been intending to just run errands today, you had taken a mini vacation from work to get caught up with things around your place; however, this seems to be much more important.
Starting up your car you tap the address on your screen and watch as it loads the map and directions. You gaze down at it before you pull out of the parking and onto the road heading back home.
It takes a few hours for you to finally get there and when you pull up in front of the mansion before you, it’s a major step up from the trailer that you and Sweet Pea had spent all your time in as teenagers.
At the gate are two men in black suits that stop you. You give them your name and they wave you through. When you make it to the door, a guy comes running out of the front door followed by Fangs.
“(Nick Name)! Look at you! You’re gorgeous as ever!!” he says as he comes down the stairs, his arms open for a hug. You walk up to him and he pulls you into a friendly hug. The familiar scent of his cologne hits you and you relax a little, remembering simple times like movies in the back of his truck at the drive in and trips to the quarry around a bonfire.
He pulls back and takes your car keys from your hand and hands them to the man waiting patiently beside the two of you. You watch in fascinated confusion as the man gets into your car and drives it out of sight.
“He’s just taking it to the garage to park it.”
“Oh...fancy…” you say with a raised eyebrow as you follow Fangs into the mansion, suddenly feeling extremely underdressed in your jeans and tee shirt.
He just laughs, “Yeah… I guess things are a little different than what you remember huh?”
The easy smile he sends you helps you to relax a little, “Just a little…”
“He’s in his office, I’ll take you to him.”
“Just like that…” you ask with a snap of your fingers.
“Just like that, he’s excited to see you,” he says with a snap of his fingers,“You know… I don’t think he ever got over you…”
You stop for a moment and Fangs stops to wait for you, “You need a minute?”
“I don’t know… This is not how I expected my day to go…” you say softly as you gaze down at your shoes. They are an old pair of vans you’ve had since forever. You remember you came across them when you were cleaning out your closet, so you decided to wear them. You remember you wore these shoes everywhere when you were a teenager: you wore them to Pops on your dates with Sweet Pea, you wore to school where he would hold your hand as you walked down the hallway, you wore them to the Wyrm where he taught you to play pool, you wore them the Quarry where you spent lazy Sundays cloud watching, and you wore them to his place where you hid from the world and cuddled on his old beat up couch.
You heave a deep breath before you look up at your old friend, “Why did we stop talking?” you ask in a whisper.
“You and Sweet Pea broke up, and you had a life that didn’t involve us…”
“I’m sorry…” you murmur.
“It’s okay,” He says as he takes a step towards you, “We’ve all been through a lot and there is a lot that happened here that I wouldn’t have wanted you to be a part of. The road to the top is paved with sacrifices, and I’m glad you had nothing to do with it.”
You know he’s trying to reassure you, but that just reminds you that the Sweet Pea you are about to see isn’t the boy you used to skip school with to get milkshakes.
He opens the doors and you walk into the office that is unapologetically Sweet Pea. Hanging above a black marble topped desk a large picture of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The floor to ceiling curtains were in a deep emerald green, brushing the dark hardwood floors. Black leather chairs sit before the desk facing the man that gives you butterflies when you lock eyes with him.
“Sweet Pea,” you say softly standing awkwardly a few paces into the room. He sits there staring at you for a moment as if he’s in a trance before he gets up from behind the desk and makes to walk towards you. He’s wearing a pair of black slacks with a deep emerald green button up shirt the sleeves rolled up around his forearms.
“(Nick Name)...” he says breathlessly as he reaches you and pulls you into a hug.
You look up into his eyes when he pulls back, the same brown eyes you had gazed into under the stars so many times. The same eyes that would hold your gaze tenderly after you made love. The same eyes that shed tears when you had to end it.
“You look amazing…”
“You do too! Green is a good color on you…” you say with a soft smile.
“Thanks,” he says as he continues to look down at you, “So I heard something happened?”
You don’t miss the hard edge to his voice as he asks the question.
“Yeah… I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time…Nothing too serious…”
“Did they hurt you?” there was the deadly calm you had heard hundreds of times before. Sweet Pea protected his own…
“No… I just got scared a little… They recognized me Pea… They saw my face and they were terrified…”
He heaved a sigh  and motioned for you to follow him. You did so, following him out a door to the side you hadn’t noticed before. He takes you down a small hallway until you get to a small sitting room and he motions for you to take a seat on the black leather couch.
“Do you still like white wine?” he asks casually over his shoulder.
“Yes, I do actually.”
He just nods before he turns towards you with a glass in his hand and hands it to you.
You nod your thanks and take a sip sitting it down on the coffee table before you.
“You want to know why they were so scared of you…”
“Yes.”
He sighs and runs his hands through his perfectly styled hair and you want to run your fingers through it as well. Even after all these years you’re still attracted to him…
‘Stop it!’ you chide yourself, ‘he’s probably married or has some gorgeous girlfriend or…’
“I put you on a list to protect when things with the Serpents began to get big. It’s essentially an agreement that you are off limits to anyone wanting to get to me.”
“We haven’t spoken in years…” you say taking a sip of your drink to calm your nerves, “Why would you put me on the list… Surely…” you feel your head start to spin a little.
“Surely,” you say ignoring it, “You have someone else that should be on the...list…”
He let out a bitter laugh, “You are the only woman I’ve ever really loved… I always hoped…”
“Hoped what?” you gasp out as you blink your eyes.
“That I would be good enough for you and you would come back to me…”
“Sweets… you were… always… good en-ough…” With the last word out of your mouth you pass out onto the sofa.
Sweet Pea casually gets out of the chair he had sat down in and walks over to your prone form. He moves a stray strand of hair out of your face and gently picks you up and walks from the room and down the hallway.
“She’s going to be pissed…” Fangs says as he leans against the wall outside of the door his arms crossed over his chest. When Sweet Pea passes him, he casually pushes himself off of the wall and keeps pace next to his best friend and boss.
“Better pissed than dead…” Sweet Pea replys back as he casually walks down the hallway.
Do I need to start a mini series? No... Am I anyway? Yeah... Say something...
A/N hope you guys love this as much as I do
Warnings: family fights
You knew what was going to happen when you told him.
“We have plans tomorrow”
“Oh where baby?”
“Uhm, my mom invited us over for dinner”
“I’m sorry, did I hear that right, your mom did what?”
You married Sweet Pea, and god you loved that man. The problem was you married him in a town where last names and where you were raised matters more than the person themselves. Sweets were hardworking, he cared for you and your child. But Sweet Pea’s name didn’t hold any weight in the town of Riverdale like yours did. But you cared nothing about that, you wore his last name with pride. Sweet Pea shouldn’t have been your future though, and you shouldn’t have married him. With your name, with your status being the high ups on the Northside, you could have married anyone of your choosing. You could have married a socialite, someone who was rich and popular, someone who could have bought you a giant house on the Northside. You weren’t one to embrace the name like your sister and brothers did. You hated your maiden name, you despised it, even so much so as trying for years to degrade and taint it. You were the disappointment in your family's eyes, your fathers to be specific. But like most children do they follow in daddy’s footsteps and most of them hated you too.
The biggest disappointment to him though was not that you got in trouble, not that you didn’t do absolutely fantastic in school like your siblings, not that you didn’t want in on the family business, no the biggest disappointment happens when you were 17. When you were seventeen you caused the biggest “disappointment” in his life, it was when you met a mechanic from the Southside, Sweet Pea, and eventually then your child you made with him.
“We haven’t been invited to your house in years baby”
You remember bringing Sweet Pea home like it was yesterday, a memory you wish you could almost forget but one that was buried deep into your mind. Your family, especially your dad thought it was a joke when he walked into the house. Your dad thought it was just another stage like all the others you had, but you knew very well it wasn’t. You vividly remember your father saying “Y/N I hope to heavens this is a joke, bringing this washed up nobody into our home”. He hadn’t even given Sweet Pea a chance. You broke it to him that you did instantly, telling him that you really cared for the man that was holding your hand squeezing it to keep you comfortable knowing how much you hated standing in front of your father, but your father had none of it. That first day Sweet Pea came over was also the day that your father banned him from your household and all family functions. You didn’t mean that meant forever at the time. You didn’t know it meant they wouldn’t come to your wedding, and you sure as hell didn’t know that it meant after your marriage, even after you had Harley, that you still would not be allowed into the house.
You never understood why your family, why your father never gave the man you loved a chance. You never could understand why family names had to determine everything. Sweets always showed respect to them. Never once did he say a thing that could have possibly offended them, he was a gentleman to the fullest extent.  You never understood why he hated Sweet Pea like it was his job. Nothing Sweet Pea ever did mattered to him. Not how he dressed in the nicest clothes he had, even taking his Serpent jacket off like he never did, not when he came over when you were under the weather and made you food, not even when you called him saying your dads' car broke down and he came over fixing it instantly.
They didn’t come to your wedding, which hurt. What hurt worse though was when they didn’t come for the birth of your child. That killed you, it killed you cause you called and invited everyone to the hospital, but no one but your Mother showed up. Which you later found out was without the knowledge of your father. The only other person to have met Harley after that was your brother, who you would have contact with once in a while, who had kids of his own. You didn’t get invited to Christmas, Thanksgiving, or even birthdays so you barely understood why your mother was inviting you over to her house, and Sweet Pea had the same questions.
“I don’t get it”
“What do you mean babe”
“Why is your mother inviting us over for dinner? What’s with the sudden change in her heart”
“I don’t know Pea but I wanna go”
“I don’t get it, why are we even going? Why put yourself through that? Why put Harley through that?” You just wanted love from your family, and yeah Pea gave you enough, but something felt different when your brother called and asked you to come over. You didn’t like being an outcast from your family, all you wanted was to be accepted by them, at least accepted enough to have cared about even a little. But yeah, after all the shit your parents more so your father ended up putting your family through it made sense that Sweet Pea was surprised they invited you over at all.
“Mom called me personally Sweets, called and asked for us, all of us specifically to come. I just, I wanna go please even if it’s for a little, and when you say we can leave, just please” He rolled his eyes looking at you like you were insane. You knew it was out of protection, safety, wanting you and your daughter to feel loved not forgotten.
“Fine, but if they say one word about you or Harley we are out of there, got it” You nodded your head slowly as he came over giving you a hug and a kiss on the head. “I love you, I gotta get to the shop, and then I gotta go on a run this afternoon, but I’ll be home by 4:30 so we can make sure we get there on time, okay?”
“Thank you Pea”
“I love you, I'll see you later” He walked over to your daughter giving her a kiss before exiting the front door of your home.
You were nervous all day waiting for the arrival for Sweet Pea to come home, all the small things going wrong making you increasingly nervous for the night ahead. It felt to you like every time you moved you had another memory of a time when your parents didn’t show up for you. You were scared, fucking terrified of the night to say the least, but you knew you had to hold it together, you knew even more so for yourself, at least for Harley because she deserved to know her family.
You were already getting ready for the third time when Pea came home looking around the bedroom before seeing you sitting on the floor, fully dressed.
“Baby, you okay?”
“Oh, uh didn’t know you were home” You got up grabbing his clothes handing it to them before grabbing his shoes. He placed everything on the bed grabbing your hands in his.
“Stop”
“Huh”
“Baby I see it, you're scared shitless”
“I’m fine”
“Baby I’ve known you long enough, I know when you're not okay, talk to me”
“I’m freaking out” He pulled you into his chest, the faint scent of oil mixing with the leather of his jacket, the vanilla soap that he stole from you most likely, and the faintest hint of smoke layered over his body, the scent you’ve grown so accustomed to relaxing into. He calmed you instantly.
“We don’t have to go”
“We do pea”
“Why?” “Harley deserves it, I want to go for whatever reason, I don’t know”
“What do you mean she deserves it?”
“To know them, Pea, she deserves to be given that chance”
“She has us, does she really need them”
“Babe it isn’t the same and you know it, you were so close with your grandma remember, I want her to have that chance too”
“She deserves that baby, but do they”
“I don’t know babe”
“Look we’re gonna go like you wanted to okay? If you wanna leave you give me a sign and we will walk out the door okay?”
“Okay” He started your signature handshake something that you did since you met him, a handshake, a spin, the link of your pinkies and a kiss to the hand and then, of course, he always ended it with a kiss to your forehead.
“We got this babe, together”
“Together”
“Daddy! Do you like my dress!!”
“I love it baby girl you look like a princess, did you pick it out”
“No silly mommy did, she pick yours out to?”
“Of course she did, you think I can dress myself?”
“No daddy definitely not remember that time you chose green and pink, not a good look”
“Okay miss sassy pants go get your shoes on and we will be down in just a minute” You threw your shoes and then began pacing once again as Sweet Pea came back into the room. His hands grabbed yours and his forehead pressed to your own.
“Baby you need to listen. We can do this, everything will go fine. We will be in and out okay? But for us to have a good time, you need to take a breath, you need to calm down just a bit okay. Hey, We got this” He places a kiss to your head before retreating down the stairs you following down directly after.
The car ride was quiet too silent to even register how close you had gotten to your parents home. You’d think that you would have been hyperfocused on that, but no you were focused on all the things that could go wrong, all the things that could happen. It knocked you out of your thoughts when the gate started opening in front of you. It felt like you couldn’t breathe felt like all the pressure of the planet was pushing down onto you.
“Hey, I got you… Are you ready to go in baby?”
“Yeah, let’s do this”
You unbuckled your seat slowly as Sweet Pea grabbed Harley from the back of the car. You were so nervous you almost fell until you were caught by Sweet Pea’s arm who dawned your daughter in the other.
“Thanks”
“I told you, I got you”
“I know Pea, I know. Let’s do this”
You walked slowly to the door, at a pace that felt like a step per minute but with Sweet Pea’s hand guiding you, you felt a surge of confidence as you put a hard knock on the door. The door opened fast your mother standing in the entryway and before you knew it, you were being pulled into a tight hug.
“I am so glad you guys are here, oh my god Sweet Pea thank you for coming. And is that my grandbaby”
“Yeah mom that is Harley”
“Hi Mrs. Y/L/N, how are you doing?”
“I’m great Sweet Pea thank you, so glad the three of you could come” Your mom instantly pulled Harley out of Sweet Pea's arm his stance going slightly more hard as he watched her with your daughter. She gave more kisses than you could count before Harley was reaching for Sweet Pea once again, but honestly, it is all you could have hoped for. “Well come in, come in your brothers and sisters and the kids are in the living room” You were surprised how well everything was going, considering the last time. But you smiled at Sweet Pea as you both stepped through the door, and walked into the living room that had all your siblings.
The conversation went quiet when you walked through the door, your sister Beth staring at you with a dead cold look in her eye. “Oh, won’t you look at that she’s alive, she’s alive” You knew that it was a joke but hearing it from Shawn gave you a cold feeling. I mean they all knew you were alive and well they just didn’t have the balls to stray from what your father said. Luckily before anything happened your brother Jake stepped up, see Jake was the one who at least talked to you, the one that supported from the sidelines. “Hey Har why don’t we go play with cousin Jacob and cousin Jessica”. You were so happy that he showed you and your child. You nodded his way as he grabbed Harley from Sweet Pea’s arms.
You turned back towards the group as Sweet Pea grabbed your hand. “Hi, Beth, Shawn how are you both?” Of course, their wife and husband did not even so much so as to nod in your direction.
Of course, Beth was instantly on you. “What makes you think you can waltz in here like you’re here everyday Y/N. And with them, how dare you”
“Who my family? Just so you know by the way Mom called and invited me”
“Well, no one wanted you here sis?” Of course, Shawn had to pick too. You could tell the anger radiating out of Sweet Pea at that point.
Jake luckily came back at that point standing up for you instantly “Look both of you need to shut up, mom called her, them here so clearly mom wanted them here. You shouldn’t be the ones having a problem with that.
“No Jake I actually can’t she disrespected dad which means she disrespected us, her and her trailer trash and their children shouldn’t even be here. You stood up to Beth at that point. “Don’t you dare Beth, you know my whole life it was always you pushing me down and I'm sick of it, but you know what keep doing it to me that's fine but don’t you ever, ever think that you can say a word about my husband and my child without me kicking your ass you got that” You were in her face when your mother called everyone to the table, Sweet Pea taking your hand and dragging you behind him.
The night was going great, well aside from your sister and her remark. But an emphasis on the was because you walked into the dining room to see none other than your father sitting at the head of the table. He was the one man you didn’t want to see but you can’t deny that deep down you were wondering where he had been, wondering why he wasn't in the living room in the first place. It was odd, you knew that instantly.
In the quietest whisper you could have a short “Dad, hi” came out. Sweet Pea next to you nodding as Harley came up grabbing his leg as he picked her up instantly.
“Y/N. Nice to see” Came out with almost gritted teeth, and a disgusting look towards you. His eyes followed next to you as he nodded to Sweet Pea, a hi sir coming out of him before Harley waved next to him. Your father didn’t even so much so as to nod back to her.
“Well let’s get this wonderful meal started” Your mother probably noticed the tension in the air as everyone sat down at the table. Your father at one head your mother at the other. Everything was going smoothly, food was being passed and eaten. The children were all behaving well. You were proud of Harley, she was doing exceptionally well for barely knowing these people at all. But of course right when something goes well something else has to go wrong, and it comes in the form of a B, no not a bitch, a Beth.
“So still work at that mechanic shop Sweet Pea? Or did someone else finally offer a better opportunity than that dump?”
“What? The shop that I now own?” Everyone who wasn’t paying attention instantly did, something that shouldn’t be so important seeming like the most important thing that had been said all night.
“What you bought that shithole?”
“Beth, language”, at least your mother still had a small amount of decency.
“Yeah I did, I run the business. The guy who owned it before was a good man, a great one at that was like a father to me almost. He uh, he passed a few months ago and left the shop to me. But yeah I own it, and I run it” It felt like years now and the way Sweet Pea said it put it into perspective. Harley was turning 3 which meant you haven’t seen your family in 3 years basically. Sweet Pea had a lot of shit on him, things he did that were wrong, especially as a teenager but now as an adult, he was proud of himself. He ran a business that could provide what he needed for his family a family. He had a business he took pride in, one he was damn proud of.
But of course, Pea showing how proud he was no match with what of course your father had to say. “The business? Ha, that is not a business, does this so-called business even provide for you? For your family?” You couldn’t let Sweet Pea get shit on, not when he did everything for you. Not when you trusted in him and the business he had created.
“What are you even talking about dad? If you must know which by the way is none of your business by any means, yes the shop brings home enough money for us, for our family. That business pays our bills and then some, so yes dad it is a business, and it is a successful one just like yours, now can we quit and have a nice dinner like mom wanted? Please?”
“No we may not, don’t you ever dare compare my business to that hole in the ground your husband owns”
“Dad don’t you dare, I am proud of my husband, and his business may not be the same as yours but it provides just the same. Dad, stop. Pea provides enough for us, he provided me the life I wanted, the life I want my daughter to live” Sweet Pea was fuming for so many reasons.
“The difference Y/N is that I built my business, I worked hard for it. My business was not built by some side of the road Southside Trash, understand. So don’t you ever dare compare my business to his”
Your mother and Jake had had enough, your mothers head shaking and Jakes fist balled. “Honey stop, your daughter and her husband have done nothing wrong but come here and try to have a nice and respectful dinner. I think you just need to calm down a bit”
“Calm down, you want me to calm down!! I am perfectly calm to have you know but what is wrong is that I am pissed. What in your right mind made you think to invite her here? what made you think that was a good idea, you have to be stupid for that. I want her out now! I want her husband out now and I certainly want their daughter out of my home. Now Analisse I mean it get them out”
“Dad stop, you need to learn she is a part of this family. She has done nothing wrong but come here and try to have a good dinner with you” You nodded to Jake, thanking him in a  way for the things he said, the way he defended you not afraid of what your father could do.
“Oh so now you're disrespecting me. First of all, Y/N has done everything wrong. I gave her endless opportunities, I gave her everything, Everything!!! For what? For her to go and marry that southside scum. For her to have a trash baby too”
Your body shocked stood still, he wasn’t just targeting you, or your husband like you were used to, he was now targeting your daughter too.Tears rolled down your cheeks, but you quickly wiped them away with your sweater. You walked over picking your daughter up from the seat next to your husband. “Bye mom, bye Jake” About to reach the doorway Harley grabbed onto your dress pulling it. “What’s up, baby?”
“Why don’t they want us here mommy? Why don’t they love us?” That broke you, you were close enough to the table for everyone to hear seeing as it was dead silent now. Pea stood shocked as you quickly exited your parents home.
“Baby I don’t know but we're gonna go home and have a good time with our little family remember me and daddy love you so so much okay” Pea stood shocked as you quickly exited your parents home.
See Pea was a serpent, a badass someone who never held his tongue, but with your family he always did, never wanting to cause an issue. But when someone disrespected his family, his child or his wife, he changed completely no matter who you were you never ever talked about his wife and his child.
“Sir you need to stop, do you not understand how messed up this is?”
“Excuse me!”
“You, your fucking messed up. Calling your wife stupid, Calling your daughter trash, barely recognizing the presence of your grandchild, it’s bullshit if you ask me. You know it’s bullshit, hating your daughter for falling in love, hating your grandchild because she came from that love. I don’t get it. You know Y/N follows all of you just so she can stay up to date on your lives, she loves you all to no fault. But you can’t so much as look in her direction without a sliver of hate and that I just don’t understand. See I could bet my life's worth that you never even think about her and that sir is messed up because your daughter loves you so much even after all the crap you put her through. You know, I know she loves you because of the number of times I have walked in on her telling Harley stories upon stories of her grandparents, her aunts, uncles, and siblings. I couldn’t even count it, on one hand, the times I've seen her showing pictures to her as well, how do you think Harley knew all of you at least a little bit”
“Swe…”
“Don’t, I'm not finished, sir. None of you have even tried to be in our lives, or you know I don’t care if you're not in ours, but you haven’t even tried to be in Harleys, and that sucks. Because for a three-year-old to ask her mommy why no one in this house loves her, it’s sick. You know when I first met you, sir, the first time I came here, you told me to get out, told me I didn’t deserve your daughter, and you know what you are right. The number of times I tried to leave because I didn’t think I was good enough would probably astound you, but you know what she slowly realized the term “deserves” isn’t based on money, it’s based on the love you give, and god I love your daughter and I love our child. But you know what I don’t deserve her because she is fucking beautiful and incredible in every way I can imagine, but that doesn’t even matter. Because I work my ass off to give her and our child the life they deserve to live. And no, we may not have all the money or property in the world like you do, but we are happy. We are so happy because in our home is a family that loves each other. So now if you’ll excuse me I need to get outside so I can take my wife and daughter, my family out for ice cream to try to at least mend a small sliver of the hearts that you broke sitting at this table tonight”
Sweet Pea came out to you twenty minutes later to you crying in the car but trying to keep it together for Harley who was slowly drifting to sleep. You got scared when he opened the door and sat down with his head in his hands, afraid that maybe he had gotten hurt somehow in the house you won’t even call home anymore.
“Babe…  did they hurt you? Please god, tell me they... ”
“God no baby, but they hurt you and that hurts me enough. You don’t deserve to cry, Harley doesn’t deserve that you deserve a family, a family that loves you”
“I have it”
“But”
“No buts anymore, they had their chance, they had more than their fair share of chances Pea. I love them even though I shouldn’t, but that doesn’t mean I am going to wait around till they accept our life and our family. I have a family with you and Harley I don’t need them for love. I have you”
Harley coughed in the back of the car your attention going directly to. “Daddy, are you crying?”
“No baby, you know why?”
“Why daddy?”
“Becuase we are about to go and get… icecream!! And what’s the rule”
“You can’t cry when your eating ice cream”
“You got it, baby, so what do ya say we go and buy 3 ice cream cones, one for you, mommy and me?”
“Yes daddy, yes I want two flavors?” He smiled over to you but you looked down to your hands instantly. A secret you were hoping to share at dinner, but of course, that didn’t work out.
“Baby, are you okay?”
“No cause… I hate to break it to you Pea, but we need four ice cream cones cause it isn’t just the three of us anymore”
“Huh? We getting a dog or something?”
“Oh we are most definitely getting a dog but no…”
“Mommy has a Pea growing in her belly daddy!!!” he turned to your daughter quickly, so quick you felt like you could feel the wind as his head whipped around.
“What do you mean baby!!”
“Oops sorry mommy”
“It’s okay baby you can tell him give him the box too” He reached back grabbing the box from her. As he listened to her talk he began to open it
“Mommy told me to keep it a secret but a little baby pea is growing inside her tummy and soon she’s going to have it and it’s going to turn into a baby version of me daddy. I don’t know though... is she going to poop it out like a chicken poops its eggs?” He turned to you then.
“Your so cheesy but I love it, a new pea to the pod?” Tears streaming down his eyes.
“Yeah babe, a baby Pea”
“Oh my god”
“So like I said I think we have enough love in our little family, I realize now I don’t need them to be loved all I need is this right here. I love you so much Pea, now can we go home please”
“Yeah we can go, home baby, I love you too”
“First Ice cream mommy!!”
“Yes, yes we can’t forget the ice cream, step on it Pea”
“Yeah daddy step on it”
“I love you girls and you unknown baby pea, now let’s get that ice creaaaaammmmm!!!”
FP Jones 4
*Jughead P.O.V*
I watched as my dad walked to he fridge and grab a beer. He looked down at it, contemplated weather or not he was going to drink it, then put it back.
It had been a month since I caught my dad and my friends sister together and I had told them to end it, It had turned out that their six month secret relationship was a lot more serious that I had first thought because even now, a month later because my dad was a different person.
This wasn't like him, I mean that beer had been in the fridge for months and I hadn't seen him even look at it, but then over the last month, I've seen him do that at least 6 times a day and everyday he puts it back telling him self. 'If you do this, you will ruin everything you worked for for Jughead and Y/n will go down the trash shoot.'
He turned around and looked at me, eyes wide as he closed the fridge and moved to grab a glass of water instead.
"Hey boy, what you doing today?" He asked me and I shrugged.
"Write, maybe go to the Wyrm to see the others." I told him. He nodded and the left the room. I heard him sniffle as he passed me and I almost fell from my chair. He was crying. Why?
I finished up eating and grabbed my bag, shouting bye to my dad and then headed to the Wyrm where I found Sweet Pea and Toni sat at a table.
"Hey guys." I greeted as I sat down. The two looked at me, said hi then went back to there conversation as I pulled out my laptop and began typing.
It wasn't long until I heard another voice join our table and I looked up to see Fangs had joined us. He looked at me and then back to the others, obviously pissed about the whole his sister and my dad thing.
"Sup bro?" Sweet Pea asked Fangs who sat down.
"Not a lot, why do you ask?"
"Bro, I'm you best friend, I know when something is bothering you so spill." Pea demanded. Fangs let out a sigh and looked over at me, then back to Pea and Toni before he began.
"I'm just worried about my sister." He explained. I looked over at him as he continued. "She hasn't left the trailer in a month and I was hoping today I could get her to come kick Pea's ass but she said she wasn't ready to see...you know who yet." He spoke, looking over at me.
"It she really that bad?" Toni asked and Fangs nodded.
"My dad is the same." I interjected. Fangs looked over at me, glaring as Toni waited for me to continue.
"He only leaves to house to work and come here. He won't even look at me for longer than a minute and when he does it's only because I caught him with the beer."
"Wait, he's drinking again?" Fangs asked, sounding worried.
"No, There is this beer in the fridge, it's been there forever but he will walk out of his room, walk over to the fridge, take it out, look at it as if deciding weather or not to drink the he'll put it back."
"Wow, it must be killing him." Sweet Pea noted. I looked at him confused. Sweet Pea rolled his eyes and throw something at me.
"Knowing the girl he loves is 3 trailers down from him but he can't see her because he promised you he'd end it." Toni spoke up.
"You think that's what's wrong, he misses Y/N?" I asked but this seemed to anger Fangs.
"Do not say her name. You are the reason she is so ill." Fangs snapped.
"Y/N's Ill?" Sweet Pea asked concerned.
"Dude, she has barely eaten since she and FP ended thing, she is always crying and today is the first time she has has the strength to move off the couch for anything."
I sat quietly for a while, just listening to when was being said and then I knew what I had to do.
*Y/N P.O.V*
I sat in the trailer I shared with my brother and watched TV. I hadn't been out much since FP and I ended things, I loved FP, but Jughead was right, we couldn't keep sneaking around and the only person who knew was Fangs and he didn't really care, the way he saw it, I was happy and safe so he didn't need to worry.
Being his sister only got me so much protection from the Serpents. Being with FP was a sure thing I was safe because he knew FP would look out for me. If I was being honest, while being with FP the idea of become a Serpent, like my brother had always wanted, was looking more appealing, but when Jughead found out and forced us to break up, I rejected the idea all together.
"Hey, you OK?" He heard my brother ask as he walked into the room and grabbed his keys and phone.
"I'm better today." I smiled up at him from my spot on the couch. "See, only on blanket, I showered thins morning and I'm not watching The Notebook again." I informed him, he let out a chuckled as he sat next to me, putting his feet on the table in front of us.
"I see that." My brother nodded thoughtfully. "So, you ready to actually leave the Trailer yet?"
"Maybe, I might get up and clean my head with a walk." I shrugged.
"A walk to the Wyrm where you can kick Sweet Peas ass at pool because he keeps beating me and he's getting cocky about it." My brother offered and I shook my head.
"Not yet Fangs, I...I'm not ready to see him yet." I told him and he nodded, understanding. It had been a month sure, but the pain felt like it only happened yesterday and seeing FP would kill me.
"OK, well, be safe of you decide to go out and I'll call you later." He smiled as he kissed me forehead and stood up.
"You do realise I'M the adult, right?" I asked him swatting him away from me, laughing.
"Well, I just like making sure you're OK." He shrugged as he reached the door. "Love ya sis."
"Love you too bro." I replied before he left. I let out a sigh and stood up, clearing away the blanket and walking into my bedroom. I changed into a pair of shorts, as it was still warm out, even though there was predicted rain later, I didn't care much. I threw on an old, worn out 'The Killers' t-shirt and I grabbed on of Fangs' hoodies before I pulled my van's on and I grabbed my keys and phone.
I left the trailer, put my headphones in and played my music as I took a walk to Pop's (going the long way round so I didn't have to pass the Wyrm) where I grabbed a shake to go then took a slow walk back, walking past all the places FP had taken me on dates and secret meetings. It hurt to think about him, but it wasn't like I could avoid the place he took me. We mostly stayed in the Southside so everything reminds me of him. I turned into the Trailer park and shuffled my way to my door but stopped in my tracks when I saw somebody stood there.
"Jughead?" I called out as I took a step forward.
"Hey, Y/N." Jughead waved sheepishly as I stepped passed him and unlocked my door.
"Fangs is at the Wyrm, he left an hour or so ago." I told him as I walked through the door and turned to see him.
"That's not why I'm here, I need to talk to you." He told me and I looked at him confused.
"Jug, I can't I'm...I..." I began, struggling to explain but I just couldn't get the words out.
"Five minutes. Please?" He begged and I nodded, letting him in and closing the door behind us. I put my phone and keys on the table and I sat down.
"So, what can I do for you Jughead?" I sighed, I wasn't ready to deal with any of the Jones men right now. I need time from both of them but apparently Jughead wasn't bothered.
"I need to ask you something." He told me and I nodded.
"Do you still love him?" He asked me and I looked it him, both shocked and confused.
"W..what?"
"My dad, do you love him?"
"Jughead, this isn't approptiate, you need to go." I told him, standing up. I could feel the tears build in my eyes as he shook his head.
"No, Y/N, I need to know. Do you still love my dad?"
"Yes Jug, I do." I sighed giving up.
"Why?"
"What?"
"Why do you love him?" I thought for a second, trying to think of the perfect reason but only on thing came to mind."
"Because...he's FP. He's himself."
"I don't understand?"
"Your dad has been nothing but himself with me, from the very beginning. He never lied to me, he never held back the truth because he didn't want to hurt me and he has never let me be anything but myself." I explained.  "I knew who he was when we started this thing and it never bothered me. In fact, he was the reason I stayed in Riverdale and took in Fangs after out parents left." I told him, my eyes stinging from the tears.
"I want another reason." he demanded calmly and I nodded.
"OK, well...he cares about you, he sorted his life out because of you and he asked for my help because he was too scared to ask you. He didn't want to let you down again, he never cared about what anybody thought about him except you and that's why I fell in love with him in the first place. I've never seen a man care about his kid so much. Especially in this town." I chuckled sadly as a lump formed in my throat.
"So you never cared he had kids?"
"I didn't care he was a dad no, only that he treated his kid right. With Jellybean, he didn't get chance to but you, he got better for you."
"Why else?"
"Jughead, please, stop, I can't anymore, it hurts to think about him." I sniffled sitting back down on the couch and wrapped my arms around my legs.
"I just need one more reason." He sighed as he sat my me. He grabbed my hand in his  comfortingly and I sighed.
"I just do Jughead. There are a million reasons why shouldn't I love FP but there are a million and one reasons why I do anyway. That isn't a good explanation, I know that but I just don't know how to tell you other wise. I love him Jug with everything I am and I have died everyday we've been apart."  I sniffled. "He makes me happy."
Jughead sat there for a second and the stood up, pulling me with him.
"Come with me." He demanded, I tried to resist but he just kept on going. He took out his phone and texted someone then he climbed on his bike.
"Come on, we need to go." He told me and I sighed, climbing on the back of his bike, knowing there was no point in arguing. I held on tight as he drove off, pulling up outside of the Wyrm.
"Jughead, what are we doing here?" I asked as I climbed of the bike. I had my back to the bar so when I heard the doors open and closed I paid no attention until I heard my name.
"Y/N?"
I stiffened at the sound of the voice. It sounded broken and rough but it was still unmistakable.
"Jughead?" I looked at the young boy who smiled sadly and then he turned me around to face FP. I saw Fangs and Sweet Pea stood in the doorway of the bar, both watching me.
"Dad, I'm sorry." Jughead started as he took a step forward. "I was wrong to force you hand. I was upset and angry. I...I'm sorry." Jughead began. FP kept his eyes on my as his son apologised.
"Look, I was worried that this relationship was going to end badly for you and that you would fall back into old habits and I wanted to protect you." Jughead continued. "I realised that Y/N is the reason you're doing so good. She's helped you all this time and kept you on track."
"Yeah, she's been a huge help." FP shrugged, still not taking his eyes of me.
"You love her, don't you." FP only nodded and Jughead smiled.
"Then, I need you to tell her. She needs to hear it."
"What?"
"Dad, I'm telling you I'm OK now. This last month has been hard for you and I hate that I did this. So I want you to tell Y/N you love her. I want you to tell her all the reasons why you love her and I want you BOTH to realise how stupid I was and then be happy together." Jughead demanded before he walked off. I saw him, Sweets and Fangs walk inside and I looked back at FP.
"You look..."
"Cold?" I asked and he shook his head.
"A mess?"
"I was gonna say tiny. What happened?" He asked concerned as he stepped forward.
"I guess I've not been taking care of myself since we...ended things." I admitted.
"I'm sorry."
"It was a mutual break up Jones, You wanted to keep Jughead happy and I wanted you to be happy with Jughead." I reminded him.
"It been the worst month of my life." He admitted as he finally reached me and placed a hand on my cheek. I felt a couple drops of water fall from the sky but I ignored them.
"Trust me, I know." I smiled up, leaning into his hand.
"I love you Y/N, more than I've ever loved somebody before." He blurted out. I smiled up at him as the rain began to fall heavier.
"I love you too FP so god damn much."
"Do you think we should listen to the boy?" He asked as he stepped closer.
"He is a smart kid, that son of yours." I shrugged.
"Seems to be right a lot." FP chuckled as I leaned in closer.
"Has a lot of good ideas too."
"Exactly." Then his lips where on mine and it was like electricity coursed through us. Fireworks exploded and I got weak at the knees.
Kissing FP was everything I needed to feel myself again. It was as if every bad feeling I had felt this past month had washed away in the rain. I had missed this, so much and I didn't care who knew it. I loved FP Jones and I never wanted to be apart anymore.
"Wow," We both breathed as we pulled away from the kiss, wide grins on our faces.
I didn't say anything more, I just wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him tight.
"Y/N, you need to get inside, you're gonna get ill." FP sighed as he kissed the top of my head.
"Just, give me a minute. I don't want to move just yet." I chuckled into his chest. I heard FP chuckled then he bent down and lifted me up, making me squeal a little.
"I'll just carry you in then."
I suddenly felt him moving and the the rain stopped as he walked into the bar. He placed me back down on my feet and I look around to see everybody was looking at the two of us. I hid my face in FP's chest as he pulled his jacket off.
"Here, take the hoodie off." He ordered and I did as I was told. I pulled the jacket and as FP was about to wrap his jacket around me Jughead called over.
"She might want to try this one." I turned around to see Toni stood by him, holding a jacket.
"Why?"
"Because it's yours." Jughead told me taking the jacket from Toni and walking over to me. "If you want it that is."
I looked around the bar to see everybody watching me. Fangs stood by Toni and Pea, smiling wide, nodding and giving me the thumbs up. Toni smiled and I turned to FP who shrugged.
"It's your choice babe." he smiled down at me and I nodded.
I grabbed the jacket and pulled it on as everybody in the bar cheered and I was handed a drink.
"Welcome to the family Y/N." Jughead smiled and hugged me. "and I don't just mean the Serpents." He whispered. I smiled as he pulled away and I turned to FP who grinned down at me.
"You look hot in a serpents jacket." he growled as he lent down and kissed my neck.
"Well, how bout we head back to my place, we can get a better look?" I offered and I saw a fire in FP's eyes that I had seen a million times before.
"God yes..Fangs, you can crash at my place tonight with Jughead!" FP called over to my brother then he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the bar.
Veronica//Everybody Talks
Request: Can I request a Reader/Veronica with/using the song Everybody Talks - Neon Trees, maybe reader moves from new york or visits with Nick st. Clair and decides to stay in town?
happy valentines day gays!
part 2
“Well.” You clasp your hands together as you look out the window of Veronica’s bedroom. “Its no New York. But it’ll do.”
You’re feeling awfully home sick, but your parents wanted you out of the house for a few weeks while they tried to secure as many clients as they could with the lavish house parties they’re throwing, so they sent you to Riverdale ‘so you could catch up with an old friend’, which translates to, the Lodges owe us a favour so they’re babysitting you until we want you back.
Its not really your parents you’re missing, you don’t particularly have the best relationship with either of them. They liked you when you were little and cute and they could parade you around their friends, but as soon as you had your own thoughts and opinions, they kind of just forgot about you. You’re missing New York. You like how busy it is, everybody doing their own thing, following their dreams, doing whatever the hell they want. You blend in there, but in Riverdale you stick out like sore thumb. And Veronica can tell you’re feeling uneasy.
You and Veronica Lodge had been best friends from 5 years old. The Lodge’s did some business with your family, and while your dad’s talked and your mom’s got drunk, you and her played together. You would be princesses, mermaids, superheroes, anything.
And you’re friendship grow stronger as the two of you grew up. She was the first person you came out too, both of you whispering about it while hiding under a duvet, too scared to speak any louder in case anyone was listening.
So when her dad went to prison and she told you she was moving, the two of you were devastated. You gifted her a pair of diamond earrings as a going away present, and she gave you your first kiss, leaving the feeling of her lips engrained in your brain forever. When you’d asked her about it, she’d said it was heat of the moment, ‘i’m probably never going to see you again so i need to do something for you to remember me by’ type thing, and then she never brought it up again.
“You’re going to love it here. I promise!” She says excitedly. “Oh, you’re sleeping in my room, I hope thats okay.”
“Ye-yeah. Thats fine.” You stutter. The past few years she’s become even more gorgeous. Her hair is longer than it was the last time you saw her, and she’s actually wearing glasses sometimes, which is a lot more than when you knew her. She also seems so happy here, and you’re unsure how such a small town managed to keep someone with such a big personality.
“Mom was going to make up the spare bedroom but I said it didn’t matter seeing as though we’ll probably be up all night anyway.”
“Hu-What?”
“Catching up.” She replies, a small giggle passing her lips as she brushes her hand over your arm.
“Oh, yeah, right.” You shake your head, trying to get rid of the many, many gays thoughts that have littered your brain.
“Come on. Dump your bags in there and then I’ll introduce you to everyone.”
-----
“Guys!” Veronica leads you into a small diner, the red neon sign lights the parking lot giving it an 80′s vibe and you can’t help but smile. At least there’s something similar to New York here, the bright neon signs. However they’re everywhere back home, just here in Riverdale though. But the way Veronica is smiling at you is enough to make you feel less home sick. “This is my best friend all the way from New York. We’ve been friends since we were five and she’s staying with us for a couple of weeks. So everyone, meet the one and only, Y/n y/l/n.” She introduces you to the group of teens sat in the red booth, all with kind smiles on your face, and you must admit, you don’t get this kind of hospitality in New York.
“Hi.” You wave shyly.
“Wow. We finally get to meet the famous Y/n.” A girl with a high pony-tail teases causing Veronica to blush softly. “I’m Betty by the way. Betty Cooper. And this is my boyfriend, Jughead Jones.” She introduces herself and the boy beside her and you shake both their hands.
“I’m Josie.” A girl walking past you says and you smile kindly at her.
“Nice to meet you.” You reply and she nods before sitting at a booth a few away from you.
“The boy she’s sat with is Kevin. They’re step siblings and the funniest people you will ever meet.”
“That I am Veronica.” A boy interrupts. “And who is this.” They add, looking you up and down as he sits down in the booth, Betty and Jughead grumble angrily as they move so he can fit in.
“This Reggie, is Y/n. My friend from New York.”
“It is a pleasure to meet you.” He holds you hand, pressing a kiss to the back of it before winking at you and you chuckle uncomfortably.
“You’re not her type Mantle.” Veronica rolls her eyes. “Now, I’m going to leave her here while I order food. Anybody want anything?” She asks and they all shake their head, pointing to the food in front of them. “Y/n. I’ll get your favourite. And Betty, look after he while I’m gone.” She says, glaring at Reggie as she does, before spinning on her heel and marching towards the counter.
“Sit here.” A red-headed boys says and you slide into the booth beside him.
“Thanks.” You mumble. “I don’t think we were introduced.”
“I’m Arch-”
“So what is your type?” Reggie interrupts.
“I’m more into girls.” You reply simply and his eyes widen.
“Ohhh. Cool.” He shrugs before starting to annoy Jughead. You turn your attention back to the boy beside you and he smiles softly before continuing his previous sentence.
“I’m Archie. Veronica’s boyfriend.” He introduces himself and your mouth goes dry.
Boyfriend? She never told you about a boyfriend. Why didn’t she tell you about a boyfriend?
“Boyfriend?” You ask aloud, probably more surprised that you should have but whatever.
“Yeah.” He laughs. “Is that so surprising?” He asks.
“No. I er. I just never heard of a boyfriend.”
“Oh.” He sighs, looking at the table.
“But thats got nothing to do with her though. She probably did mention you but I here the word boy and just tune out.” You say quickly and he lightens up a bit.
“One burger and fries.” Veronica places the tray in front of you and your lips twitch into a smile, however it doesn’t quite each your eyes. Not like it usually does, not the way Veronica loves, and she can’t help the frown that comes to her lips. “Whats wrong? Did Reggie say something? What did you say Reggie?”
“No, nothing.” You shake your head. “Do you want to sit beside Archie?” You ask.
“Why?” She replies confused.
“Because he’s your boyfriend.”
“Oh right yeah. Sure.” She shrugs and you stand up, allowing her to sit in your seat before you sit down on the end.
Why wouldn’t she tell you about her boyfriend? You guys were supposed to be best friends. She promised that when she moved that wouldn’t change. But maybe it has, things have changed since the last time you saw each other. You hair is a tad shorter, and you’ve changed your fashion a little, but nothing major. What the hell happened?
You eat your fries in silence while they talk about the new school year and whats in store for them as being seniors. Half an hour passes and you’ve finished your food, as well as the majority of your drink and you can’t help but think if you disappeared right this second, nobody would notice.
Hell, Reggie’s talked to you more than Veronica has, and even though you get that she has a new life here, with new friends and new memories, it still sucks that she’s moved on.
“Have you seen that Y/n?” Archie asks and you blink rapidly, everyone at the table is staring at you expecting an answer to a question you didn’t hear.
“What?”
“Sicario? The film.”
“Yes!” Veronica jumps in and Archie’s eyes widen, the two of them talking animatedly about the film.
Did we hell see that. When that was at the cinema, you and Veronica went to go see some shitty teen romance movie that made the two of you cry. Why was she lying? The first time she’s shown interest you in 35 minutes and its all a lie.
“I didn’t think those type of films were very you.” Archie says shocked and she shrugs.
“She’s full of surprises.” You sigh, stirring your drink around with your straw as you lean your head against your hand.
“She really is.” He replies making her giggle softly before the two of them make-out.
Why does this always happen? You fall in love with her years ago which ends in disappointment and heartbreak, for it to just happen again the next time you see her. Damn.
------
“Ronnie?” You whisper into the darkness. Everything seems darker in Riverdale, everything is quieter, and its keeping you awake. Its not the only thing thats keeping you up though, the fact that the girl you’ve wanted since you were 13 and just discovering your sexuality is lying next to you, her body so warm as she breathes slowly, is also making it difficult to sleep. Plus, why is she so different than to how she was. Its like nothing major has changed about her, its just subtle things, but when they’re added all together its like she’s someone completely new. And why didn’t she tell you about Archie? Or anything that has happened since she moved here, the rest of her friends told you more in an afternoon than she has in three years.
”Yeah?” She replies, turning over. Her hair is a mess and her eyes full of sleep but you don’t think she’s ever looked more beautiful. Actually. Thats a lie. She’s always looked pretty to you. “Are you okay?”
“Can’t sleep.” You reply and she sends you a sympathetic look.
“Its okay. Why don’t we play the alphabet game?” She suggests and your eyes widen as you remember the stupid game you made up when you were younger. Whenever either of you had trouble sleeping, wether it be due to nightmares, parents arguing or just that fact that you were to excited to sleep, you would pick a topic and work together to try and think of something relating to it for each letter of the alphabet. On one particularly boring afternoon, you even made a proper game out of it. Scribbling down loads of topics and placing them all in a shoe box.
“I haven’t played that in years!”
“Me neither. But...” She trails off as she dangles over the bed. You can hear her searching under the bed for a few seconds before she stops, movements halting as a smile breaks out onto her face. “Aha!” She cheers and pulls a shoe box from under the bed. “Lets hope its the right shoebox.” She wiggles her eyebrows and you groan, pulling a disgusted face making her giggle. “Yes!” She says triumphantly. “I knew I still had it.” She shows you the box and smile brightly. The multicolored paper that you scribbled on when you were 11, and kept adding to as you grew older and learned more things about the world, is in there.
“Okay!” You bounce a little. “Let me pick. Let me pick!” Your hand dives into the box as you search for a bit of paper. Pulling a bright yellow piece out you read it aloud. “Flowers.”
“Ooooo.” She muses, placing the lid back on the box before pushing it down the bed. The two of you lie down, facing each other, both of you giggling like children as you try and think of a flower that begins with the letter A.
“Aster!” You start and she looks at you impressed.
“Wow, your flower knowledge has improved since the last time I saw you. When we did this five years ago, you said ‘A flower’.”
“Well, there’s a lot of things I know now that I didn’t back then.” You reply. You didn’t mean for it to sound so serious, but it does and it hangs in the air for a few seconds before her eyes brighten again, something she always does when she’s about to answer these.
“Baby’s breath.” She says and you hum in approval. “I’m gonna have them mixed in my bouquet when I get married. Them and roses, the classiest flower obviously. And the wedding scheme is going to be royal blue and gold, with lots of activities for the guests to do.”
“Yeah? And does Archie know all of this or are you just going to spring it on him the day he proposes?” You tease making her roll her eyes.
“Who says I’m going to marry Archie.” She replies and you stare at her. The two of you make eye contact, your breath hitching at the intensity of her stare, and then you’re leaning in, closing the gap between the two of you. Your lips brush against hers softly, almost as if you’re testing the waters to see if she’ll pull away, but when she doesn’t, when her hand grabs your waist pulling you closer, and she closes the gap completely, her lips completely pressed against you, kissing you like you’re air and she can’t breath, you figure she isn’t going to pull away.
Until...she does, and you’re left breathless.
While she’s left more confused than ever.
“I’m so sorry. I should not have done that.” She pulls away from you quickly, her eyes wide while yours are barely open, she’s definitely gotten better at kissing. Or maybe you have. No matter what, that was pure bliss- “That was such a mistake. Sorry. Lets just forget that happened.” She turns over, facing the wall and scooting as far away from you as she can. Your heart beats faster and your fingers trace your lips, you’re brain running at a thousand miles per hour as you try to remember everything. Everything leading up to the kiss to the kiss itself, while also trying to block out what happened after. But its no use, and your heart sinks when you hear her muttering to herself. “I have a boyfriend.”
-----
“Y/n?” A soft voice lulls you from your deep sleep and you shuffle a little, turning around to follow the voice. “Y/nnnnn.” They continue and your eyelids flutter open to reveal Veronica smiling at you.
“Morning.” You mumble, stretching your muscles while you sit up.
“Morning.” She replies. “Here, I got you a drink.” She hands you a mug and you take it from her gratefully, blowing the steam away. “Listen.” She starts, her voice changing from soft to serious and your eyes flicker up to meet hers. “I really want to hang out with you, but Archie’s had a disaster so I need to go help. But, fear not, because Cheryl Blossom may be the biggest bitch in Riverdale, but she throws the best parties and we are invited to one tonight! So pick out your sparkliest and shortest dress and be ready by 8. Okay?” She kisses you on the cheek before grabbing her purse.
“Bu-”
“Bye! Love you!” She calls over her shoulder and you sigh, taking a sip of your drink before looking around the room.
The room screams Veronica, some of the old Veronica, and some of this new one that you aren’t entirely sure of. The pearls hanging on the jewelry holder, pictures stuck in the mirror of her vanity, that is more make up products than actual wood and glue, some of you and her back in New York, some of her family, some with friends, but most of them are her with Archie and you feel your heart drop to your stomach, you sigh and push the covers off you, throwing your legs over the side. Its barely 10am, meaning you have god knows how many hours to kill before she comes back. “Oh.” She comes back and you whip your head to look at her. “About last night, can we just forget anything ever happened?”
“Sure.” You nod, forcing a smile. “My lips are sealed.” You add and she grins at you.
“Great. Bye!”
“Yeah. Great.”
--------
“Y/n?” Veronica whispers. Your mom had turned the lights off in your room hours ago, but the both of you remain wide awake. She stares at the glow in the dark stars on your ceiling, trying to find constellations, while you stare at her face, finding constellations in the freckles that dust her cheeks, freckles that will soon disappear after she leaves and decides she doesn’t like anymore.
“Yeah?” You whisper back, deciding to join in with the star gazing, thankful that she hasn’t looked at you yet.
”Do you know when you were a kid and you wanted to talk to everyone and anyone?”
”No. I was an anxious child.” You reply making her giggle.
”Fair enough.” She shrugs. “But you know what I mean though. Like everyone seemed so fascinating to talk to, and you just wanted to learn everything about them. You become friends with them within seconds no matter who they are.”
“Yeah. I know what you’re talking about.”
“I feel like that everyday with you.” She admits, both of you blushing but refusing to look at the other.
“You think I’m a stranger?”
“No.” She replies and you can practically hear her rolling her eyes. “I mean that if you were a stranger, I’d still want to be friends with you. No matter what.” She says, the words weighing heavy in the air as she says them but they make you feel light. At that age, nobody knows who they’re going to be in a month, a year, five, ten, but both of you knew you’d still be friends.
Veronica and Y/n against the world.
“Veronica?” You ask.
“Yeah.”
“I like girls.”
“Oh.” She looks at you with a puzzled face and you sigh, knowing whats coming next. ‘i hope you’re not in love with me’ or ‘thats great, but just so you know, i’m straight’ and ‘get out’, are a few that come to mind. But she smiles at you, that smile only Veronica can do, grabs your hand and simply says, “I love you.” And you grin back at her, because she supports you and you still have your best friend and it doesn’t matter who you love.
“I love you too.” You reply and then the moments gone, she starts talking about cute girls you go to school with, but your hands remain intertwined and thats the only thing you can really focus on.
------
“Are you almost ready?” Veronica shouts from her bedroom and you roll your eyes at her patience. Studying your outfit one last time in the mirror, you re-apply your lipstick before smoothing out your dress and flicking your hair about until your happy with how you look.
You’d decided on a classic black dress with a bold red lip and sparkly shoes, very New York chic, you finally felt like the old you. Sneaking out to parties with Veronica by your side and fake ID’s in your purse.
“Yes I’m ready. But what the hell happened to you, Miss ‘start getting ready at 4 and don’t get out at of the house until 10′. Living here has really changed you.” You tease but when she doesn’t say anything you stop putting your phone in your purse to look at her. She’s already staring at you, a look in her eyes that you can’t quite read, but her lips are parted slightly and the sight is enough to make you fee breathless, a blush creeping up your neck.
“...wow.” She mumbles as she stares at you. “You look amazing.” She snaps herself out of whatever she was in and you smile bashfully at her.
“You look even better.” You reply.
“Not possible.” She rolls her eyes.
“So, is Archie okay?” You ask and she pauses putting her shoes on.
“What? Oh yeah. Turns out he just missed me. He’s such a dork.”
“You saw each other yesterday.” You laugh awkwardly.
“I know.” She laughs. “Hey, are you okay?” She asks, noticing your frown.
“Yeah fine.” You shrug, pushing the feeling that you’re being pushed out deep down. “You ready?”
”Always.”  -----
‘Hey honey you could be my drug You could be my new prescription Too much could be an overdose All this trash talk make me itching’
You and Veronica are more shouting the lyrics than singing at each other.
Veronica was not wrong, Cheryl was a bitch, pointing out three things she didn’t like about your outfit as soon as you walked through the front door, but boy did she throw a good party. The house was packed, people squeezed into each room and spilling out into the garden. The music was loud enough to be heard in Greendale and there was enough alcohol to last everyone at least a year.
Unfortunately, Veronica had started on the drinking pretty much as soon as she walked in the front door and there was only one reason she would binge drink, she was conflicted about something. However, she refused to talk to you about anything other than another drink, dancing, or cute girls that you could hook up with. But the only cute girl you wanted to talk to was drunk, swaying and about to puke into a very expensive vase.
“Come on Ronnie, we need to get you to a bathroom. You need to sit down.” You gently reach out to her but she continues to sway, swallowing whatever was trying to crawl back up her throat and you crinkle your nose in disgust.
“No.” She shoves your hands away, stumbling slightly. Your arms are around her instantly, keeping her up right but she pulls away from you, staring at you as if your a stranger.
“Ronnie. You need a sit down and some water.”
“No!” She shouts. “The only person that calls me Ronnie is Archie.” She adds and tears prick your eyes.
“But Archie isn’t here. I am. So please, come with me.” You plead.
“No! God, you just can’t deal with the fact that I have friends other than you. You’ve been following me around for the past two days like a lost puppy and I’m sick of it. But I have a life outside of you and New York. I have friends, a family that supports me, and more importantly a boyfriend. And I don’t need you coming into my life and making everything all complicated. You-you should have just stayed in New York.” She shoves you out of the way, leaving you crying in the middle of the dance floor.
People start talking as she pushes further and further into the party, and the songs thats just ended seems oddly fitting, everybody does talk, no matter if you’re in New York or Riverdale. Just before she completely disappears into the crowd you hear her shout one last thing that completely shatters your heart.
“Hey! Lets play the alphabet game!”
“Oh hey Y/n.” Archie greets you as he walks through the front door, but you ignore him, pushing past him while wiping the tears from your face.
“Where’s Ronnie?” He asks making you cry harder.
“Somewhere where she doesn’t need me.” You reply before disappearing into the night, walking the unfamiliar streets back to a home you know longer felt wanted in.
You never thought you’d live to see the day where Veronica didn’t want you in her life. But here you are, and now you’re not entirely sure what to do with yourself. Should you call your parents and ask if you can come home early with a promise that you’ll hide out in your room? Or should you go to a hotel for the remainder of the trip?
You decide to stay at Ronnie’s Veronica’s for the night and then go to a hotel tomorrow.
Riverdale sucks.
Friendships suck.
Especially when you’re in love with your best friend.
Everything sucks!
-----
“Hey.” Veronica’s voice is quiet as she walks into her bedroom. You glance at her, her make-up is smudged, her hair messy and she’s carrying her heels, but she still looks cute.
“Hey.” You reply, placing another dress in your suitcase.
“Soooo. What are you doing?” She walks into her room cautiously and you roll your eyes.
“Packing.” You shrug. “I rang my parents this morning about staying in a hotel and they wanted me back early so they can parade me around like when I was 2. I think one of the possible clients they’re talking to has a son around our age, so I think they’re planning on ‘setting’ us up.”
“Yikes.”
“Yep.” You pop the p and she huffs.
“Listen.” She starts, moving some of your clothes so she can sit down. “Before you go can we talk.”
“There’s nothing to talk about Veronica. You said exactly what you thought of me yesterday. So I’m doing what you want, I’m going back to New York and you don’t have to worry about me confusing you and getting in the way of your new life. Which by the way isn’t as great as you think it is. Your friends seem lovely, but they know nothing about you, you know Cheryl forgot your name twice yesterday. Betty doesn’t know what you’re favourite food is, and as for your boyfriend, he seems lovely, but you are way out of his league. And you feel the need to lie to him so he likes you more. Veronica, I think you are the greatest person I have ever met, and I’ll always follow you wherever you go, because I’m your best friend and I love you, but if you’re over this friendship thats fine. Just don’t be an ass about it.” You rant, flopping down beside her.
“Wow.” She mumbles and silence takes over the two of you. You’re waiting for her to say something, to do something, but she doesn’t. So you sigh before standing up and starting to pack again. A few minutes go by before she speaks up again. “I made a new category for the alphabet game.”
“Yeah?” You reply while folding a pair of jeans.
“Its things that remind me of you...and I er, I don’t need any help with this one.” She adds and you pause.
“A. The Adorable way your nose crinkles when you see or hear something you don’t like. B. The fact that you love Bees and that you’ll do literally anything to help them. I watched you sprint across a road because you saw a bee lying by the curb and to this day I have no idea how you saw it from that far away, but you picked it up and put it on a flower so that it would be safe and I don’t think I’ve ever loved you more...also B, because of how Brave you are to be yourself. Even when you have a family like yours. C. How much you hate Cauliflower, and how when you were 7 you were convinced it was a snowy tree for fairies to live in, and how upset you get when your mom first showed you one because you thought she’d cut their house down. D. The fact that you love Dogs more than anybody I have ever met, and every time I see a cute dog in the street I always think of how happy you would be if you saw it. And how every time you see a dog you always send me a picture, no matter what time it is or what you’re doing. E.-”
“Ronni-Veronica.” You stop her. “I get the point. You don’t have to do all of them.”
“Okay.” She nods. “But I can do all of them if you want.”
“Its okay.” You smile.
“Can I skip to L?” She asks and you quirk an eyebrow, but nod anyway. “Okay. L. The fact that I am so in Love with you and that I have been since I was 12, that I turn into an idiot whenever you’re around. I’m so sorry, I was just confused and I didn’t know what to do because I love you but I didn’t want to upset Archie, and I’m just sorry.”
“Its okay.” You cup her cheek. “I love you too.” She lets out a breath before sending you a soft smile. “Why don’t you skip back a bit to K?”
“K?”
“Kiss me.” You whisper.
PART 1    PART 2    PART 3    PART 4     PART 5     PART 6     PART 7
_________________________________________________________
                Fingers toyed gently with my hair, stirring me from my sleep.  I swatted them away and tried to ignore it, but they were persistent.  I peek one eye open only to see my husband and his outstretched arm carefully coaxing me awake without disturbing Axel or Sienna who lay still between us. After my eyes and my attitude adjusted to the light streaming softly into our room and the annoying prodding against my scalp, Sweet Pea motioned for me to get up with him.
                 “What time is it?” I mumbled, voice thick from the blissful sleep that I was just robbed of.  I made my way straight for the coffee pot.
                 “Six a.m.” He chuckled at the whine I gave him in response. Sweet Pea loved the mornings.  The quiet, the stillness, the anticipation of the day ahead.  I, on the other hand, took about two hours to fully wake up.  “Jug called. Apparently, Lauren’s sister is Cassie Mantle.”
                 “Shut up!” I halted, my hand hovering over the Folgers can.  “I never knew that.  Oh, Sweets, that’s great. The kids really will be in good hands.  Cassie’s as good as gold!”
                 “Yeah, I was relieved.  They’re on their way here now.  Didn’t even hesitate when Jones got in touch with them.  They dropped everything and hit the road.”
                 I squeezed his shoulder as I walked by to grab last night’s soup bowls to throw in the dishwasher.  “Where are they living now?”
                 “Bout two hours north of Greendale- a small town called Pleasant Ridge.  They’re gonna stay with Reg’s parents until Dr. Ellis releases Blazer.”  He rubbed his palms together, fidgeting.  My eyebrow shot up suspiciously.  I waited for him to spit whatever it was that had him stalling out.  “Also…they found Lauren.  Emma, she was so messed up, she didn’t even know she had kids.  Hell, she barely knew her own name.  Jug said that Cassie plans to get her in rehab as soon as she can manage it.”
                “Good!  Maybe with Cassie and Reggie helping out, she can take the time she needs to get clean, and do right by her kids while she still can.”  Sweet Pea nodded.
                 “I’m gonna take them over to the Mantle’s in a bit.  I want to talk to Reggie.  Rob won’t be locked up forever, and I want him to know exactly what he’s got to protect them from.”  His eyes squeezed shut, no doubt as images from last night’s rescue mission came flooding back.  “Fangs is coming here to keep you and Carter company.”
                “Babe,” I groaned.  “We don’t need a Serpent Sitter.  I can take care of us just fine.  That is not necessary.”
                 He fixed me with a hard stare that silenced my objections immediately.  “This is not up for discussion.  I want someone here with you and that’s final.”
                 “Yes sir,” I kissed his cheeks and snaked my arms around his broad shoulders.  “Come on, bodyguard, let’s go get Ax and Sienna up and moving before Carter starts screaming.”
                 He followed me, packing up their things while I got them up.  Sienna’s freckled nose scrunched up as she stretched.  The light of day made the violet bruises look so much worse than I remembered from last night.  My eyes lingered on her face before catching Sweet Pea doing the same with an angry scowl heavy on his brow.
                 Waking Axel up was a challenge.  His sister told me he was not a morning person.  We had that in common.  Eventually, he joined us for breakfast.  They ate quietly until Sienna spoke up, “Where do we live now?”
                 Sweet Pea answered before I could, “Your Aunt Cassie is coming to get you guys, so you all can stay with her.”
                 Axel’s chubby hand reached up to rub his eyes.  “Mommy said Aunt Cassie doesn’t like us.”  Sienna’s shoulders slumped forward and Pea reached over to tug at the ends of her hair.
                “That’s not true.  She got up very early so she can get here to be with you. She’s almost to Riverdale now.”
                “Mommy’s not coming back, is she?” My heart shattered at the desperation in his little voice.  Sweets scooped him into his lap and held him close.  “Not yet, buddy, I’m sorry.”
                 Carter woke up shortly after breakfast, fighting mad.  I tended to him while Sweet Pea loaded the truck up and got it warming up.  Axel was content in front of Puppy Dog Pals, but Sienna was very excited to see the baby awake.  Soon enough his fussiness was ebbed away by the excitement of a new, smiling face to give him attention.
                 “He’s really wiggly,” she giggled watching me struggle to get him dressed.  Carter let out a squeal of his own, thrilled to have another finger to grip in his fist. Sienna stretched up on her tippy toes to smile at him.  He matched her grin with a drooly mirror image of hers.
                 “I think he likes you,” I chuckle, noticing a soft blush creep onto her cheeks and the very tip of her nose. I put Carter in his bouncer in the living room.  Sienna kneeled right beside him, fussing over every belly laugh and gurgle he threw at her.
                “Alright, kiddos, the truck’s warmed up and ready to go,” Sweet Pea announced clapping his hands together. Axel jumped right up, clutching the same blanket he clung to all night.  Sienna, however, lingered, fiddling with the small toys on his bouncer. I straightened Ax’s jacket while Sweet Pea went straight for Sienna, covering her tiny back with his hand.
                 “Hey, you.  You know you can come to see him anytime.  We can come to see you too, how does that sound?” I melted at the tenderness in his voice.
                 “Mr. Wilson?” She squeaked nervously.
                 “Hmm?”
                 “What if Aunt Cassie’s husband is like Daddy?” Sweet Pea turned her around to face him.
                 “He will not be, we will make sure of that. We’ve got you, okay?”  She nodded and stood to her feet stealing one last smile from my baby and running to give me a hug.  Pea kissed Carter on the head and made his way to the door.  He kissed me briefly just as Fangs came rumbling up the driveway.
                 I watched the trio as they walked to the truck. Fangs ruffled their hair as they passed by before bonding up the steps to the front door.  Carter wiggled happily at the sight of him.  Fangs didn’t hesitate to free him of the constraints of his bouncer.  “Hey, little man.  Did you miss Uncle Fangsy? Mommy and Daddy aren’t nearly as fun, huh?”
                 “Watch it.”  I smacked him on the shoulder and sat down beside him.  “What’s new?”
                 “Oh, you know: saving children, beating up complete assholes, guarding the Wilson clan with my life- the usual.”
                 I snorted in response.  “I told him that we would be okay.”
                 “Yeah, well, talking to a brick wall is damn hard. Trust me, I know.  At least we get to hang out.”
                 I smiled, crinkling my nose at him and the nearly passed out baby in his arms.  “ True that, Fogarty.  I know you’re hungry.”
                 “True that, Wilson.”  We chuckled so hard at his reply, we almost didn’t hear my phone ring. I got to it just in time, putting it on speaker so I could plumage my cabinets for the dishes I needed.
                “Hello?”
                 “Emma,” a chillingly familiar voice answered.  Fang’s eyes snapped up to my pale face.  “Why if it isn’t my favorite pain in the ass.  It’s been too long.”
                Swallowing the lump in my throat, I shot back, “Not nearly long enough, Peabody.”  Fangs sat Carter in his chair and rushed to my side, hovering over the phone quietly.  He pressed record on his own phone to capture the conversation.
                 “Not feeling very friendly, are we?  I bet if I got a hold of that sexy hubby of yours, you’d change your tone.”
                 “You leave him the hell out of this, you miserable bitch!  What do you want?” I growled.  Fangs instinctively threw his arm around my shoulders to calm me down.
                 “Well, I happen to be feeling…generous. You can either hand Larry over to me or pay the $5k he owes me.  The choice is yours, madam.  You’ve got 72 hours.”  We sat there stunned for a beat.  “Oh and Emma? Congratulations on the baby.”  With that, the line went dead and I chunked the phone across the room.
                 “What the fuck? What the fuck, Fangs?! She knows about Carter.  She’s gonna hurt him to get to Larry.  OH my god!” He grabbed my shoulders and jerked me roughly around to him.
                 “HEY! We’re going to figure this out.  Pack some of yours and Pea’s and Carter’s things. I’ll call a meeting, and we’ll head to the Wyrm.  It’s going to be okay, I promise.  Do you want me to call Sweet Pea?”
                 “No,” I muttered.  “He needs to make sure that the kids are going to a good place.  It can wait until he’s finished.”
                 Fangs shot me a look of doubt, “He’s not going to like that.”
                 I groaned and started stuffing our things into a duffle.  “I know, I know.”
                 By the time we made it to the Wyrm, Jug was pacing. Rusty swooned at the sight of Carter, and I kicked myself for not bringing him to meet her sooner.  “He’s beautiful, kid.”
                “Thanks, Rus. We kinda like him!” I smiled passing him to her.
                 Sweet Pea came in a few minutes later, clearly perplexed about why this meeting was called and why his child was in a bar.
                 Before he could ask any questions, I eagerly interceded, “How’d it go?”
                “Really well.  They hit it off pretty quickly.  Reggie was just as worked up about the whole thing as us, so I feel a lot better. We’re going to keep checking in on them though.”  He sighed.
                Jughead called for our attention and I tensed up immediately.  “Penny has contacted Emma this morning.  There is a bounty on Larry’s head.  If we don’t bring him to her, we’ll have to pay his debt.  My initial reaction was to say ‘fuck off’, but she mentioned that she knows about Carter.  She’s threatening one of our own if we don’t deliver, and I will not stand for that.”
                 Sweet Pea turned to face me, fire seething from his eyes, his tight-lipped mouth, and his rigid shoulders.  My sheepish grin did nothing to placate his rage.  “Emma,” he hissed.  “Outside, right now!”  I was certainly in trouble.
                 Fangs shot me a look that screamed ‘I told you so’ as I snuck behind him through the doors of the Wyrm. Clutching Carter to me as a 15-pound shield of cuteness, I shrunk under the intensity of his glare. “You wanna tell me why you didn’t call me first? Isn’t this something I would need to know about?” He smoothed the gravel in his tone slightly when Carter squeaked in protest.  “How am I supposed to protect my own family if I don’t know what’s going on with them, Emma, how?”
                 “Oh, is that my cue? Am I supposed to talk now, or do you want to yell at me some more?” I sputtered.
                 He groaned, shifting his weight from one foot to another and pinching the bridge of his nose.  “If I didn’t love you so much, I swear… You drive me insane.”
                 “The bitch called me about ten minutes after you left.  Fangs was there, so we were safe.  You were right and I was wrong, doesn’t that make you feel better?”
                 He simply flattened his lips into a flat line in response.
                 “No? Ok then… anyway, if I had called you, you would’ve come straight home, so no I do not regret not calling you.”
                 “Of course I would’ve come home, Emma.  I would’ve dropped everything and been back with you as soon as I could.  To hell with…” he trailed off, avoiding my stare.
                 “To hell with what?” I quipped.  “With Blazer? With Axel? What about Sienna? You would’ve said to hell with them and their safety to come chasing an empty threat? Is that what you’re saying? Cause I would not be okay with that.”
                Huffing, he answered after a few minutes, “I guess I see your point.”  His posture visibly relaxed.  I was bouncing Carter around animatedly, resisting the urge to shout “HA”. “I’m sorry for getting upset, baby. I just don’t like you being threatened. The sooner we turn Larry in the better.”
                 “Well, we don’t know what they’re going to vote to do yet, cause you made us leave.”
                 “I don’t give a rat’s ass.  He’s my problem.  This is my choice.  It’s clear to me that he’s in it with Peabody.  They just want the cash, I know it.”
                 I blanched, trying to find the best angle to approach this conversation.  “But what if that’s not the case?  Would it be worth handing him over if he was innocent?”
                “Innocent?” he scoffed.  “He could do good deeds for the rest of his life and still not be considered innocent.  Do you know what he put me through?”
                 I leaned into him instinctively, balancing Carter with one arm and forcing Sweet Pea’s arm to circle me with my other.  “I do, and I wish I could take it all away. I just don’t want this decision to torture you if you make the wrong choice.  I really really really think you should talk to him first.  Then we can figure it out.”
                 He stiffened against me and took shallow breaths. I hated to see him this vulnerable. “I guess.”
                 “Do you still love me?” I muttered, smoothing out Carter’s hair.
                 His chest shook slightly as he chuckled. “Always, Emma.”
                “That’s what I was hoping you’d say. I love you too, Pea.” I smiled pulling him back inside, feeling lighter.
