Regarding that twink getting railed in the Senate hearing room:

I can't be super happy because it's going to lead to various degrees of even more "they're sickly, sex-crazed vermin" discourse about gay men from both conservative politicians and just regular people. And OF COURSE it should not be his job to represent gay guys, as that is a role unfairly forced upon him by the marginalization of gay men...but it is a role he is in as a gay man working fairly high up in government, and he acted pretty grossly. Sex at work on someone else's desk is, generally, very bad.

On the other hand though he is an icon, a legend, and he is the moment. Having gay sex in the Senate is nothing short of an incredible and hilarious act of defiance, even if not intended as such. He got SPLIT OPEN right where RBG got confirmed to the supreme court, just like she would've wanted.

Since I have been working on my fic with my OC and Elias, I have been doing so much thinking about Elias, and I need to go on a quick TMA rant:

spoilers for literally uh idk everything below the cut

I think jon and elias were a very shippable ship up until elias was like

"all of it is ur fault blah blah you chose this"

Because the day he stepped foot in the institute there wasn't much else he could do and that was so mansplain gaslight girlboss and they just aren't shitty enough for each other.

like yes, the ending was kinda fucked and jon did so much stupid shit with sort of good intentions but like sometimes he did those things knowing the wouldn't be a certain outcome like telling martin he would blind himself and leave with him.

anyway jon was such a man for that but also like I don't hate him because I think he managed what he could with what he had, and YES there were other options but no option was good.

Also! More on the avatars and connections to fears and losing humanity. I feel like when you look at the avatars and such you people whose flaws and sharp parts were sharpened and polished. Not to say they're all bad, they're all flawed! It's honestly so compelling how much is built into them. I do think, however, that those flaws become a much more defining characteristic in an avatar. For Jon, his inability to not do things on his own, Martin's indecisiveness and interdependence. There's just a lot of egoism if you ask me, but it just gets so much worse.

Anyway, no need to agree with me or anything, but yeah. Wanted to put it out there. Might be wrong and silly.

Okay now, NBC Found startin to bug me. Before I take my hiatus, Imma gone head and get this out after last night’s episode.

One: This coulda been one of the best dark romance couples I’ve seen on tv in a hot minute if they had just aged Gabby up and made Sir’s motives more clear. Like, obviously ya can’t do romance now cause it would be hella weird, but like……he DOES wanna be her partner in EVERY WAY: a parent, a teacher, a…….lover, but…..we’ve already established that can’t be….like, why did we write it this way??

Two: Gabby, girl ain’t you tired of threatening Sir every promo?? Like, find another way to tease the next episode…..(also, actors can only do so much with cringe writing; at some point the acting is gonna get a lil……questionable if the writing is). And, OF COURSE HE BROKE THE CHAIN; we’ve already established he WANTS to be there, but if you gone act reckless, so is he

Three: and perhaps my biggest issue is that…maybe this show shouldn’t be a procedural…..We get too much of those plots (and yet, also not enough, cause it seem like they always solve the cases too quick or that it’s rushed) and not enough of Sir/Gabby…in the present. I appreciate the flashbacks, but I also feel like we need an equal amount of flashbacks (sometimes)/present Sir/Gabby, AND cases and I don’t think we’re getting that. Just a lot of case plot (which, I feel, is why they solve them so quick) and 2-6 minutes of Sir/Gabby working on the case or her dealing with her feelings towards their situation. Separate that time out as equally as ya can to well round the overall story as well as the case of the week.

Of course, just my feelings, but I definitely will be sat for that season finale and already eagerly awaiting 2 lol 😅

So its really funny how flawed Transphobes arguments are, especially with the "what is a women" because in any way you can easily disprove and/or have a counter point.

"Women are defined by the fact they have a uterus"

Not everyone is born with a Uterus, and also some people have to remove parts/whole Uterus do to cancer or other medical reason, or other reason's.

"Women are defined by they're fertility"

Again not everyone is born fertility are they lose fertility over time. With things like menopause, or just them simply losing it over time. Also they're a lot of people who use birth control, or get they're tube tied to purposely lower they fertility rates.

"A women is defined by they cromesomes-"

And again some people who were born female can have diffrent cromesomes that sitll makes them female, but with a add cromesomes or some maybe missing, and what about intersex people?

And there are so many mor, that I don't feeling like touching on but like- its so easy? Also is flawed in another way what about people with an abnormal uterus such as myself? I have a septate utreus (Meaning my uterus is whole but split into two, therefore meaning I technically have two uterus) By Transphobes logic I'm "double women"... HOW DOSE THAT WORK? And that's the problem like.. bodies and biology is fucking werid. Shit happen and I say let people be happy, if she's say she's a women then who are we to judge :)

To the people who are worried on what to do with their life and constantly looking so hard for their purpose in life. To the people who wondered what's the point of it all if we can have everything.

We do not have a purpose (like a destined job or a mission to save the world or smt). Life has no meaning (we just are. Who knows why it's made). There is no point in skincare if you manifested having good skin without having to take care of it. There's no point in getting a career when you have infinite money.

There is no purpose until we give it purpose. There isn't any meaning of life until we give it meaning.

I hate studying. So I have manifested that I get 100% in every exam. You can study if you like it. I know people like the journey of it or making studying look cute and aesthetic.

Despite having my dream bod, I still workout because I love working out. Had a bad relationship with it at the start (before findingout about the law), but after a break from it, I started seeing and using it in a healthy way. Now I do it for fun.

That's the great thing about law of assumption, huh? I seen anons asking the purpose of doing anything since we can just manifest the end goal. Law of assumption doesn't take away the meaning of certain action. It is the realisation that we don't need to work hard for anything in life. So instead of struggling now, we can just enjoy it. Enjoy studying (somehow) without having a breakdown + also not having to worry if you pass or not, because that depends on your belief. Enjoy working without worrying on whether or not you have enough money. Enjoy working out without pushing yourself past your human limits (which you can choose what it is) to comform to a beauty standard.

Law of assumption doesn't take the entertainment, it only takes the misery of it. It takes away the unhealthy view and reason(s) on why we do things, so that we can find the beauty of it.

quick rant, any of you feel free to ignore because I promise this isn’t about any of you lovelies-

so don’t get me wrong, i love advice and feedback…but don’t give it unsolicited. critique that blindsides me completely kills my vibe and im criticism sensitive in the first place with the gifted burn out LMAO

this IS directed btw, not at any of you, but like…my fanfics are for me. i write to unwind and i do it for fun and i enjoy it and i will publish what i enjoy. i would LOVE to take advice when I ASK for it, and trust me, if I’ve broken some law of story progression or I structured a chapter a little off, then no one knows better than i do.

i am my own worst critic. shit, I used to edit for a living. Let me reiterate: I used to edit both creative and factual works. For a living. if you notice something so did I, and guess what? I decided I didn’t care. Cause I’m doing this for fun and I am trying to keep it fun for myself. If you have the urge to critique then maybe do it on a website that isn’t AO3 cause im sure plenty of authors on here feel the same

so yes. if you would like to point out that the flashback for chapter 16 was long and did not contribute much to the story progression, trust me, I was aware as I wrote the chapter, and I decided I didn’t care because I was having fun writing and I was getting to write more often than I have in a long time. The story will move at the pace I decide and maybe it wasn’t a good story decision but I’m having fun and that’s what matters most to me rn. This is my fun little side hobby. there’s two things that people in every fandom say that always piss me off and as you guys know i can never keep it to myself when things annoy me so here goes

1. when people say they want a spinoff of their favorite couple in a show when it wouldn’t make any sense because the characters are important to the main storyline and have no reason to get their own storyline in another show OR when this couple already is the main couple of the show, like a spinoff won’t make any sense, this is it!!!

2. “WaS tHaT sCrIpTeD?” no it wasn’t. scripts usually don’t include small movements, touches, specific facial expressions etc unless it really really vital, it’s not “improv” it’s just acting and listening to your gut and to your director, i’m begging you to look up what a script looks like

This was traumatizing for the both of us...

Ok, so I had some freetime in class right? And I was just drawing the spicynoodles x the cat returns piece in class.

Out in the open y'know everyone could see what I was drawing if the looked hard enough. But they minded their own business and I minded my own.

When all of a sudden, this dude, walks to me in the back and justs asks what I'm drawing.

The wip was really zoomed in so you couldn't see what I was drawing and I knew if I told him I was drawing ship fanart of basically two gay lego furries in historic-regal style fashion waltzing out on the dance floor inspired by a ghibli movie about a kingdom of cats kidnaping a high-schooler into an arranged marriage...

I was gonna get flammed bro.

So I just told him: 'don't ask.'

And then zoomed out.

He looked very confused, possibly bit traumatized and tbh I think we both were.

He just repeats: 'I'm not asking' and just left.

You know something that I hate? Reddit Berserk fanboys. The way they misunderstand the whole points and messages in berserk is genuienly astonishing to me.

Yes dudebros! Griffth has feelings! Half of the story wouldn't even have happened if Griffith was a psychopathic, unfeeling, uncaring person.

Do people forget that his top motive to achive his dream was because he saw it as the only way to not make all the deaths of previous hawks meaningless???

How about the fact that Griffith put his life on the line for Guts TWICE for reasons that he himself couldn't verbally explain to Guts. Why couldn't he tell??? Oh yes, because Griffiths feelings for Guts go far than just seeing him as a tool.

Take a look at Griffiths body language! A pannel before this, Griffith wanted to literally choke Guts out of so much pent up anger, sorrow and resentment, but the moment Guts huged him and broke down, proving to Griffith that Guts genuienly loves and cares for him what did Griffith do??? He rest his hand on Guts as a way to comfort Guts!! As a way to accept Guts love. Instead of Griffith having a stronger urge to kill him, he embraces him instead. Now do not tell me that this is something Griffith would do to someone he sees as a tool because you're automatically wrong.

I don't understand why the reddit Berserk fanbase loves ignoring how Griffith literally reocurres to self harm when he feels overwhelmed by emotions that he doesn't know how to actually handle.

Also, stop making jokes out of the Griffith x Gennon situation. It's not funny!!! Griffith reocurred to Gennon and had sex with him as a way to repay the hawks. Griffith didn't want to have sex with him, we clearly see that he was disgusted by it. But he felt it was only right to sacrifice his own body the way many hawks before him had sacrificed their lives for his dream.

Anyways as you can tell it pisses me of when people ignore and misinterpret Griffith as this unfeeling person, his emotional drive and the mask he wears over it are such compelling parts of his character.

Actually, the eclipse wouldn't have even been able to happen if Griffith didn't have any emotions at all. If Griffith didn't care for Guts, casca or the hawks then the apostoles wouldn't have considered them as sacrifices whatsoever.

Oh and guess what? Griffith and Guts relationship was totally homoerotic and went far from just simple brotherhood. You can fight me on this all you want, but theres so many subtext and moments in the manga that can easily prove my point.

We all have our takes by the rating system. You know, what decides what media is for kids and what's not. Some of it is accurate, and some ratings are given for BS reasons.

Sometimes it's too harsh (Take 'Blue Is The Warmest Color')

And some of it is not harsh enough (Take 'Watership Down' I didn't see it, and I don't want to, but its a popular example)

But movie ratings and TV ratings are different from each other... IN EVERY COUNTRY. So I'm just gonna do the US.

Movie ratings you have G-PG-PG13-R-NC17

TV ratings you have TVG-TVPG-TV14-TVMA. There's also TVY and TVY7, which is basically just G and PG.

I haven't seen Clone Wars, but I think I understand people who say it's not a kids show and is somehow rated as one.

But some of it is a personal thing, like…

…no.

Just no. In my opinion. Arcane is nothing short of equivalent to an R rating.

I think there’s a bias because it’s an animated product, so people could think ‘how bad could it get?’

No, it’s not just bloody violence, it’s not just curse words (and the F-bomb rule movies have that they break as they say it more than one time.) It contains heavy themes of mental illnesses, war, terrorism, and there’s a lot of complicated thought processes I can’t imagine kids understanding. The Hunger Games wishes.

But that’s not why this brief rant is here, you know what it is:

Seriously.

Has anybody in the rating system ever seen an episode of this show?

I was in a state of shock, and I already knew. Okay, forget dark themes for a second, forget it’s basically cartoon torture on its characters.

You still have multiple shots of characters stark naked, and they sometimes HOLD on those shots. The second episode literally has this for ten seconds.

There’s also a lot of sexual harassment in this show that’s blatantly sexual harassment. There’s multiple scenes of people vomiting ON SCREEN. (Rainbow barf counts too reboot)

And there’s also a lot of swearing in the show where it’s very obvious what they were gonna say before it cuts away, or even bleeps it out. For those who never seen the show, you’ve probably seen a screenshot on Lindsay with a censor over her hand as she’s cursing.

Yeah that is NOT a single frame. That’s not a one off thing. It’s the focus of the scene. They HOLD on these bleeps for a LONG time to let you sink it on. And it’s THREE times in this ONE episode!

Also zombie mutation, also one character gets paralyzed, also heavy themes of internet trauma and harsh celebrity life that’s actually kinda too real at some points. You’re telling me that a teenage girl getting her shirt ripped off in public, and a boy who sees her shirtless talking about how amazing that experience was, followed by other characters asking if they could see it, IS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR KIDS?!

This isn’t even innuendos you often see in kids stuff. This is blatant, on the nose, and themes of the show are about how awful the celebrity life is in such detail. (I guess not as much as Bojack Horseman, an actual adult show, but still) This is not a kids show. Period. It’s… its…

Too much. It’s too much.

That’s it. Rant over. Just to get that off my chest. Now you know why my GF isn’t into this show. It’s because of this stuff.
