Seafoam Hue (Prince Eric | The Little Mermaid)

Summary — Eric realizes he’s fallen in love with a local historian.

Warnings and Other Tags ➳ Fluff; literally just Eric admiring the Reader in every sense of the word; a reference or two to Tangled (not a crossover though).

Notes ➳ Word Count is 761. ➳ Reader is gender neutral (they/them).

Eric’s eyes stared across the marketplace. The flurry of colorful fabrics and the sound of music, both of which he would usually pause to admire, had no power against his pounding heart.

In his hands, he held a rolled up piece of parchment. He, along with his crew, had just returned home from yet another adventure on the open seas. With them, they had brought back a host of treasures and discoveries from other kingdoms.

His boots dug into the sand with every step he took towards a small beach house. His sun-kissed skin glowed in the warm summer air. Having not even gone to visit his mother since his return, much to Grimsby’s chagrin, he still smelled heavily of sea salt and driftwood.

He admired the fresh flowers that grew around the beach house. Bursts of pinks and oranges, along with other shades of a setting sun, brought a smile to his face.

Pushing open the door, he gazed around the main room of the house. It was empty of people, but still filled with life by objects from distant shoes. Fine silks and other fabrics, gemstones, paintings, and other wonders of the world decorated the house’s interior.

To anyone else, it may have appeared like the place needed a decent cleaning. To Eric, however, it was a treasure trove of items waiting to be studied and admired.

Instead of venturing further into the collection, Eric turned and quietly entered another door that led into a much cozier atmosphere. The new room was slightly smaller than the last.

His eyes first came upon an unmade bed, blankets thrown about haphazardly. There was also a desk that was littered in writing materials as well as a few gemstones.

On the other side was a small kitchen and dining area. In a pot, stew was being prepared. Steam was billowing out an open window, mingling and disappearing into the soft breeze of summer.

But what really caught Eric’s eye was you.

Another door within the room, which led outside into a beautiful garden of flowers, vines, and trees, was left open. You sat just outside the threshold, unaware you had a visitor.

A book rested in your palms. Eric could tell you were enthralled by whatever its contents were. Hopefully you would feel the same about the rolled parchment within his grasp.

You looked up, startled by a sudden call of your name. Once your eyes met those of Eric, however, your expression burst into a wide grin. The book was quickly placed aside and you rose to greet him.

“You’re back!”

“With a gift,” he smiled, holding out the parchment. “I had it created for you when we visited one of the coastal kingdoms.”

Eric watched with anticipation as you quickly unraveled the parchment. The quiet gasp that escaped you and the way your eyes brightened made his heart race.

His smile widened, “I assume you like it then?”

“Like it?” you asked, finally meeting his gaze. “Eric, I love it! Thank you!”

On the parchment was a painting, filled with hues of violet, pink, and blue to create a midnight sky. Specks of yellow and orange lit up the night in a stream of glowing lanterns over a shimmering ocean. In the background was a kingdom with a large castle at its center. The work was completed with both the artist’s signature and the kingdom’s name in the corner.

“We made some trades at another kingdom’s ports,” said Eric. “They were holding an annual lantern festival for their princess, who had recently returned home. I thought you might appreciate the beauty of their customs, even if you weren’t there to see the festival for yourself, so I had this commissioned for you before we left. I suspected you’d enjoy adding it to your archives.”

Eric’s eyes softened at the smile on your face. The way your eyes lit up as your fingertips gently traced over the painting’s edges sent butterflies fluttering through his stomach.

With nothing but the sounds of distant gulls calling and waves softly crashing onto the shore, Eric lost himself in his thoughts. Unable to contain himself, he placed a hand on your shoulder to bring your attention to him.

Eyes meeting, you could sense the new tension in the air. You allowed Eric to shift closer, his hands softly caressing the skin of your cheeks. You admired the seafoam hue of his eyes, which now emitted the flurry of emotions he had been feeling since the day he met you.

“I missed you so very much.”

• And if you’re a princess, you need a knight don’t you?? So ofc Butters insisted that he should be knighted and he should be your knight in shining armor. It really just gave him an excuse to be around you more often

• At first Butters just thought you were really pretty and a nice person so he wanted to hang out with you. But the more adventures you guys had gone on, the more complicated his feelings for you got

• It felt like every time he saw you he just fell more and more in love with you

• But he has a duty to you! It’s improper for a knight to have feelings for the princess he was sworn to protect

• It doesn’t matter how you keep getting closer and how much more touchy you’ve become over time, you probably don’t have feelings for him. You’re a princess after all

• Is what he thought, and he was very wrong (and oblivious)

• As the two of you got closer you started to have feelings for him too, and you thought that giving him affection and getting closer to him would give the poor guy a hint. Ofc it didn’t

• What ended up happening is after yet another adventure where you guys almost died, you grabbed the front of his shirt and kissed him

• Y’all had started dating after that, but Eric didn’t like it because the princess isn’t supposed to fall in love with her knight 🙄 he’s just a hater

• But because of that y’all were technically dating in secret so Eric wouldn’t blow a fuse (he says it messes with his roleplay)

• That proved to be a horrible idea because a prince from another kingdom had kidnapped you so Kupa Keep and his kingdom could merge

• Which led to Butters having to fight his way through the castle and defeat the prince to save you

• But he’s more than willing to do that 100 more times just for you

• After that it became known to everyone y’all had started dating

• At least you got some cute nicknames out of it

• Butters calls you his princess or his queen (depending on how far into roleplaying you get) while you call him your knight

• Y’all have this spot in the forest where you guys have picnic dates while roleplaying

• It surrounded by trees and has this really pretty view of Starks pond while still being relatively private

• But really it’s a spot where y’all hang out to do anything

• Butters even carved both of your initials in a heart on the tree that right next to the spot

• It’s your special place, and even when you’re not roleplaying you guys go there

• I’m almost convinced that you and Butters would fuck there for y’alls first time because it means so much to you guys. It would be at night with candles around you guys, and y’all might even set up a tent and stay there for the night

The parent wars

Ok I love how this fandom ships Lilia and deduce’s mom because they are both single parents with adorable sons.Then someone else recommend Vil’s dad (I think his name was Eric)since he is also single and might be ready to mingle.

But you know who else the fandom has dubbed as a single adoptive parent of our dear m/c?! DIVUS CREWEL!!!

And now imagine all the dads end up meeting Ms Spade (maybe on parents day at school) and end up falling in love with since she is so HOT , BEAUTIfUL aNd WONDERFUl. So they are now love rivals and they each want to win the Ms Spade heart. Now because the dads are rivals their kids are now rivals since they all want their dads to be happy and let's be honest deuce would make an amazing brother so it is a win win.

But now imagine the CHAOS and DRAMA that will unfold since the kids will battling each other in order to convince deuce that their dad is the best fit for his mom. Like imagine Vil stealing deuce away to his dorm and gives him a list of benfits that he will get if they become sibling (examples: getting tutoring from vil to become an honor student, how there might be adverts about flash bikes (you know those magical motorbikes in their world) or compitions that he can get front roll seats to and most importantly his mom would be set for life).He might have got Rook to do a quick background check and integrated Epel on deuces’ like/dislikes before the meeting.

Then you got M/C who will be normal but say things like how deuce is more then a best friend and that he is a brother to them (insert a very insulted ace who m/c would have explain the situation to later) then u got both ace and m/c start bragging about how crewel is best and if he does hypercritically marry Ms Spade not only will he help with his studies but they can have so many sleep overs at crewel’s house since they will be living together.

Then you got Silver who is a bit confused but got spirit. He might honestly think that he and Deuce are brothers now from the way Lilia talks like he and Deuce’s mom are already married plus Silver would be happy if there were more humans in the family. I honestly think that Silver would be the most chill not that pushy but teach deuce things like how to sword fight and help him with his homework(if he doesn't fall asleep)

But the most funniest thing about this love square is that it would turn huge very fast because of Vil , M/C and Silvers friends will get involved. Like you got M/C with the first years supporting team Crewel. Vil and his entire dorm on team Eric and then you got Lilia being backed by the Prince of Briar Valley and his people. Not to mention the potential traitors *cough* *cough* Sebek or even Epel (btw I am not saying that they both are not loyal but Sebek’s heart belongs to Mallus and Lila first before anything else while Epel might get threatened with more makeup routines or something but properly not actual betray m/c since he is a ride or die but instead become something like a double agent.) Some of the dorms would be on the m/c side while others would stay neutral (the fish mafia might start a betting pool while Cater ends up posting the situation on Magiscram making the entire internet spilt between who would win the single mother’s heart ) Majority of the staff try stay neutral but are all on team Crewel and situations ends up becoming like a huge source of entertainment better then any reality t/v show (some producers ended up coming and asking if they can make it a show since Eric and Vil are involved but the got told to buzz off since this is a private matter)

Meanwhile, poor Deuce is lost on what to do and only wants his mom to be happy and is not sure how to deal with all this. Let's not forget that he also has to deal with his mom’s potential boyfriends trying to win his favour which is a whole other situation.

Dabihawks fairy tale fusion where they get transported into a series of random disney movies by a quirk. Instead of being the main couple in the story, they are the side characters who needs to get the main couple together in order to get out. Cue various shenanigans of our resident dumbasses trying to wingman for their lives.

Natshig in a rapunzel world where Dabi is mother gothel and Hawks is the captain of the royal guard lol.

"Oh fuck you let Shiggy get out of the tower."

"You said Natsuo was already on his way!"

"That didn't mean you should let them loose, you fucking dumbass!"

dabihawks during the lantern scene almost burning the boat they are on trying to spy on the two lovebirds and is the reason why the kiss didn't happen.

Next on the list is a fuyurumi aladdin au, with Dabi as jafar and Hawks as the genie. Dabi is very offended because how dare the quirk assume that he'd like to overthrow his father's country, the old bastard can have his crusty ass kingdom. Dabi doing the trials instead of Rumi - bc the girl was too busy thieving and simping for princess Fuyumi - and having a shouting match with genie!Hawks when he finally got to the lamp because why the fuck is this cave so complicated??? Do you want me to die??? Hawks looking at Dabi with a flat stare and saying "That's exactly the point of the traps, Dabi.". I just want them in the "A whole new world" sequence stalking the two on their own carpet and realizing that they aren't paying attention to fuyurumi anymore. They're having their own date up in the clouds, surrounded by sweet music.

The next fairy tale they went to is a Cinderella au todobaku, with Hawks as the fairy god mother and Dabi as the cat that chases the rats in the movie. The moment Hawks realizes who Dabi turned into, the hero laughs for so long that they almost missed the ball bc fairy god dumbass was too busy heckling Catbi. Dabi is very upset in that one because why is his baby brother in a shimmering blue gown while he's stuck as a furball in the very muscular and very warm arms of Hawks, getting carried around their whole time there. They didn't really need to intervene that much on that one except for stopping Bakugou from exploding Deku when he realizes the glass slipper can fit on the green haired boy. Shouto is very upset when he saw the two together and kissed Bakugou right there and then. (Izuku is terrified for his life in the background, the poor boy doesn't know what's happening.)

When they thought they were about to go home, imagine their surprise when they get transported into another world but with themselves as the main character. Cue The Little Mermaid au but with dabihawks. Haha imagine if Prince Eric was a completely different person, probably Chisaki, and Dabi turning back around when he saw the dude drowning. He doesn't care if he gets stuck in this world forever, he's not about to save the creep (hell would freeze over before he kisses the man.). So what if he was expecting to perform cpr on Hawks, no one would know how disappointed he is that he didn't get to save the hero. Pirate captain!Hawks seeing Dabi sulking on one of the stones and immediately recognizing him just from the eyes alone. They spend the rest of the day on the seas together and had a kiss by nightfall with Rumi and the crew singing "kiss the boy" in the background.

They wake up back in canonverse, now with new realizations and information on one another, yet not giving a fuck and continuing making out because they already had a taste of it once, the both of them can never let go of the other now.

for Hanukkah, my sister got my mom and I tickets to Disney on Ice! lol we were probably the oldest "kids" there. It was a cute show and you have to admire how talented everyone is.

But ANYWAY, all I could think was Steddie. Like Steve is one of the skaters, possibly Prince Eric or Flynn Rider. His dad tried to make him stick with hockey because it's more manly but Steve much prefers doing flips and spins and waving at little kids. Chrissy could be his Ariel or Rapunzel. Ariel's skater did this really cool silks display that I could totally see Chrissy doing with her background in cheerleading. (Also I'm a buckingham girl myself). Robin is in costuming, running after Steve to make sure he put in his contacts since "a Prince doesn't wear glasses, dingus!". Eddie is the light board/sound board op who originally hated that he got a job working for the Mouse, but when he sees how happy the little kids are and when he sees Steve make a special little sign during his number that's just for him, okay he doesn't hate it.

Prince Eric Masterlist

Summary: F!Reader and Eric see each other for the first time after breaking up. They reminisce about their relationship and realise they’re still in love with each other. Inspired by All Too Well by Taylor Swift. (LYRICS IN ITALICS AND PINK)

Warnings: Slight angst, reader sucks at communication, TW :Reader gets asked if they ate that day.

BACKGROUND

You broke up with Eric 6 months ago. You were hopelessy in love with him but you couldn’t take him constantly leaving the island and only returning after several months only to leave again. Eric claimed there were no hard feelings but you hadn’t spoke since.

PRESENT

Today was the annual village festival. The festival that you used to attend every year with your boyfriend. Today was the first time you would be going by yourself. The Prince was on a voyage or at least thats what you thought.

You walked up to a merchant table and looked through the jewlery display. You bought a few bracelets and a necklace. You loved supporting the small businesses each year.

You went to your favorite food truck, loving the lady who was in charge of it. You always confided in her knowing she would never judge you.

“Hi Mrs. Angel,” you greeted the woman with a bright smile.

“Hi sweetheart,” she smiled at you gesturing for you to come behind the table and take a seat. You accepted her offer and took a seat.

“Did you eat today?” Mrs. Angel asked looking at you.

“Not yet,” you said and she looked at you slightly dissapointed before grabbing you a bowl of her famous alfredo that made your mouth water everytime you saw it. “Thank you,” you smiled at her before taking a bite.

“You’re welcome sweetheart,” she said. “Now I’m not trying to be a nosey Rosy,” she began and you cocked an eyebrow at her,”but what happend between you and the Prince?"

Your heart beat sped up a little bit at the mention of your ex-boyfriend that you were very much still in love with. “It just didn’t work out,” you told her looking down at the bowl. “He was always away,” you sighed and went back to eating.

“Did you guys talk about it?” she asked you and she already got her answer just by looking at your face. You realized that you never actively communicated with Eric about how you felt about his constant travels.

“No, we didn’t,” you sighed in regret.

“Well, he does return today,” she informed you, "it’s better late than never, right?"

“Thank you so much Mrs. Angel,” you said giving her a hug, “I’m going to go find him."

MINI TIME SKIP

You were still walking around the festival looking desperately for Eric. You spotted him dancing in a circle with multiple kids. You knew how much he loved kids and how much the kids of the island loved him.

You smiled at the sight and took a deep breath mentally preparing yourself before walking over to the Prince. You tapped on his shoulder nervously, thinking he probably wouldn’t want to see you.

He turned around and looked at you. You smiled nervously at him. “Hi,” you uttered out raising your hand in a pathetic wave.

“Y/N, hi,” he said surprised to see you but happy at the same time.

“Um I wasn’t expecting you to say hi back, I didn’t prepare myself this far,” you laughed nervously and he furrowed his brows at you.

“Why wouldn’t I say hi back?” he asked, worried that he gave you the wrong impression.

“I mean you haven’t spoke to me since, you know” you commented.

“Oh, right,” he said looking down at the floor.

“Well, at least we're speaking now,” you suggested. “Late is better than never, right?"

“You’re right,” he smiled. “I’m glad to see you, honestly, I mean it,” he told you and you smiled at him in relief.

“Can we speak in private?” you asked looking around at the other people listening in on your conversation with the Prince.

“Yeah of course,” he said and you two walked off to a more private spot. “What did you want to talk about?"

“Us,” you told him looking in his eyes for his reaction,"And I know it's long gone and that magic's not here no more.” " And I might be okay but I'm not fine at all’ you thought to yourself.

“Oh,” he said looking at you waiting for you to elaborate.

"Cause there we are again in the middle of the night,” you smiled at the memory, "we're dancing 'round the kitchen in the refrigerator light,"

"Down the stairs, I was there,” the Prince smiled as well finishing the memory,"I remember it all too well,"

"And I know it's long gone and there was nothing else I could do,and I forget about you long enough to forget why I needed to,” you told him, he tilted his head not quite understanding what you were hinting at.

"And maybe we got lost in translation,” the Prince suggested.

"Maybe I asked for too much,” you realized. "But maybe this thing was a masterpiece 'til I tore it all up,” you blamed yourself for the whole thing. ”Running scared” you admitted

"I was there,” the prince chuckled lightly,"I remember it all too well"

“I still love you Eric,” you confessed."I dont like the way I ended things, I want to apologize to you.” you explained.

“You don’t have to apologize Y/N,” he assured you.

“I should’ve tried to work things out,” you frowned, wishing you could go back into the past and reverse everything you did.

“Hey,” the Prince said lifting your chin forcing you to look at him ,”it’s not your fault."

“I should’ve tried harder, I should’ve compromised,” you declared mentally kicking yourself for everything, looking away from the Prince.

“Y/N,” Eric said and you looked back at him, “I still love you,and I’m willing to try again."

You smiled at him, practically throwing yourself at him in excitement, wrapping your arms around him tightly. His hands found their way onto your waist and he held you close to him, not ever wanting to let go.

The Prince pulled away slightly and cupped your face with one hand the other remained on your waist. “Can I kiss you?” he asked looking in your eyes with the same love for you he always had.

“I’d like that,” you laughed and Eric kissed you softly not wanting to overdo it. “I love you,” you told him again as you nuzzled into his chest.

“I love you too, pretty girl,” he said kissing your forehead.

A/N: Probably one of my favorite things I wrote. I love Taylor Swift so much so expect some more Fics based off of her music. Might make a seperate masterlist and call it "Y/N and Eric’s Version" lol.

Okay so I saw 'Once Upon a Studio' yesterday and I mean...I did not ask to be punched in the gut with emotions Disney! Spoilers under the cut in case you haven't seen it yet

-First off, just the concept of the animation studio almost being like Night at the Musem where the pictures come alive was so much fun.

-TREASURE PLANET GOT ACKNOWLEDGED! I GOT TO SEE JIM IN HIS JACKET ON HIS SOLAR SURFER!

-Dodger with Vanellope in the candy racer was adorable!

-Hearing Peter Pan say 'Here we go!' felt so weird when it wasn't followed by Jack Sparrow saying 'We have our heading', those commercials were the pinnacle of my childhood

-Did I mention Treasure Planet?!

-The 2D and the 3D animations really melded well together, especially the scene where Moana's holding Flounder!

-There's an elevator gag that made me burst out laughing when I first saw it

-ROBIN WILLIAMS' VOICE AS GENIE! And no, it's not AI! Disney got permission from Robin Williams' estate to use outtakes from Aladdin for this.

-Milo Thatch getting ready in the men's bathroom with Gaston, Chicken Little, Prince John, the Headless Horseman, Thomas O'Malley, and Doc! Oh, and the Cheshire Cat!

-Antonio Madrigal happily making his way to the photo with Pascal, Cri-ki, Pua, and Meeko and saving Jaq and Gus from being eaten by a lizard-type thing (okay I haven't seen the Rescuers Down Under so I don't know all the characters by name lol) with some help from Pluto!

-Kristoff and Sven hanging out with Ryder!

-"Come on puppies, you're going to get nightmares" is Kristoff's only line and it's to the 15 Dalmatian puppies watching Night on Bald Mountain and yet I feel that's peek Akiho energy and it may find itself into one of my fics

-ROBIN HOOD AND LITTLE JOHN STEALING MONEY FROM SCROOGE AFTER THE PUPPIES KNOCKED HIM OVER!

-Pat Caroll's voice is the voice of Ursula and I'm loving the thought that the original voice actors stay the voices of these characters after their deaths

-Also what movie is the blue blobby thing from that's following Ursula?

-Also also why did Flounder need water but Ursula can walk around in her half octopus form?

-Can't have a Cinderella cameo without someone losing a shoe

-CINDERELLA HAS THE CORRECT COLOR FOR HER DRESS!

-"Eric, get your dog!" You can pry the fact that the princes are friends out of my cold dead hands!

-"Go Max go!" Aww, I love the fact that Cinderella can be goofy when she's not living with her abusive step family!

-The moment with Mickey and Walt's photo and 'Feed the Birds' in the background...yeah it's okay, I didn't need to do anything but cry for the next seven days

-Jeremy Irons as Scar!!

-"Make it pink" "Make it blue" was such a good bit

-The classic Goofy scream!

-STITCH!

-All of them coming to sing When You Wish Upon a Star...Mirabel playing with Scat Cat, Belle singing with Beast, James Woods as Hades' voice, Jodie Benson reprising the voice of Ariel...just all of it!

-Snow White bringing Asha from Wish to stand next to her with Mulan on the other side and characters from Disney's 'Dark Age' on either side in the background

-Speaking of the Dark Age characters, how do you think they were treated during all this at the time? Especially Black Cauldron since that almost saw Disney Animation close its doors but it was nice to see all the characters be part of the short

Safe to say I loved every second!

what i got so far-this is only a draft

-Rise of Red rewrite-no knowledge of canon plot les goo-

-camera/shot zooms across Auradon and the freed isle, which has been overgrown with foliage as the people of the isle had abandoned the place they called prison, Uma begins to narrate as the camera pans over to Auradon prep and stained glass images of famous Disney princesses and princes-

Uma: I'm sure you know all the tales by now. how Prince Phillip defeated Maleficent and woke up the Princess Aurora with true loves kiss, how Prince Eric saved Ariel by spearing Ursula with a sunken ship, and how Tiana defeated the shadow man and learned love was all she really needed.

You've heard them all before, and I'm sure you've heard our stories, how the vks choose good, to rise above our parent's pasts, to become more than just 'villain kids'. Well, now it's time for a new tale, for the 'new' vks and auradon kids who are just waiting to tell their story, and it's sure to be an exciting one.

Because, you didnt think that was the end of the story...did you? (Uma laugh™)

-end opening credits with classic Descendants title card, the apple breaking to reveal the queen of hearts card-

-scene one-

-the Camera pans back to Auradon prep, the Descendants ost music in the background as it pans across portraits of the graduated vks from the last 3 movies, along with official portraits of ex-King Beast and ex-Queen Belle, and the current king and queen of Auradon-Ben and Mal, Mal’s plum purple hair streaked with blue is tied back into a low bun, her bangs framing her face with the queens crown upon her head, wearing a elegant blue/purple dress that compliments Ben’s royal suit, which bears a golden sash and gold braiding hanging off his shoulder from his shoulder paldrons. Both are smiling at the camera, Mal sitting in a chair with Ben behind her, his crown upon his head as his hands rest on Mal’s bare shoulders-

-The camera continues to pan out of Auradon prep and into a nearby rabbit hole, disappearing into a vortex of wonderland magic as the music changes into a more wonderland vibe, going through the scenery of wonderland, passing by the queen of hearts castle until it goes into the city of hearts, where a girl draped in red and blacks carrying a big duffle bag appears on screen, the camera following her feet until she steps in front of a blank red brick wall. She drops the duffle bag, the ost for rotten to the core starts, takes out several spray cans, and begins to put up her art; mimicking Mal from D1 as she puts up a queen of hearts style of ‘long live evil!’.-

-the girl finishes the piece after a little montage of her laying it down, a smirk on her obscured face. The music cuts suddenly as a rageful voice echoes out from the castle. “QUINN HEARTS!!!” The girl ducks down and stuffs her spray cans into the bag, booking it back across the city towards the castle. Upon arriving in the gardens she chunks the bag into a set of bushes, takes off her jacket, hides behind a bush, and reappears in a different outfit, revealing her face as she quickly fixes up her hair into her rose buns.-

-“Quinn hearts!!!” the rageful voice says again and Quinn/Red grabs a pair of boots she left by the side door as she heads inside, hurridly shoving them on as she holds bobby pins In her mouth, zipping them up and finishing her hair before booking it towards the throne room, skidding to a stop right before entering and taking a breath before throwing open the doors and strutting in, head held high. “mother, I could hear you from gardens, you didn’t need to let the whole kingdom know it was time for tea.” Quinn snarks and the queen of hearts huffs
