Lille Ch F: Arthur Rinderknech [1] def. Joris de Loore 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(8) Match Stats
📸 ATP official website
The pass and volley combination became the reasons of the sole breaks of serve coming from both players throughout the first two sets, although A. Rinderknech has a 50% break point conversion rate from his 2 break points back in the first set. Nonetheless, de Loore's point construction might have helped him carrying through several different moments, but A. Rinderknech came in a clutch on return during the tie-breaker, where his cross-court forehand winner secured his victory during the third set tie-breaker, which denoted how crucial their pressure point handling was on return there.
On the other hand, A. Rinderknech had a more stable service game, which was also visible during the tie-breaker despite the return-based ending. Even though de Loore scored 11 more aces than him (18 to 7), the French first seed still won 5% more points from his first serves with 83% than de Loore's 78%, appearing more clutch in the first set as he was 7% away from perfection there. Somehow, despite both players double-faulting just once, de Loore's second serves appeared to be more attack-prone with only a 55% winning percentage, which was insufficient to get himself out of trouble while having a decent return game as aforementioned.
This marked A. Rinderknech's 6th career Challenger title, his first Challenger title of the year after winning his latest title in the Zug Challenger, which, apparently, he also faced de Loore and won 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 at that time. This secured his return to the Top 100 by landing at 83 live, while de Loore also ranked 188 live by the time he became the runner-up. However, while de Loore will have his semifinal rematch from here against Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the first round of the Lugano Challenger, A. Rinderknech just withdrew from the Indian Wells qualifying rounds and will go straight to the Phoenix Challenger qualifying rounds afterward. Should be fun to follow how he makes and maintains his way back to the Tour-level tournaments!
Actually, pokemon can't have voice acting because the switch wouldn't be able to handle it. It already has a hard enough time running the game, adding those extra files would just make it way to big of a game for the switch to handle.
Anyone remember that drawing challenge from a while ago where you would draw your otp or OCs as the go for it nakamura cover??? Yea well I like the second Manga covers pose a lot more so I did that...also it's klapollo <3
Really fucked up that, when they’re young, Patrick and Art are SO tactile with each other, so comfortable sharing the same space. Art lets Patrick touch him and move him and physically overwhelm him and easily acquiesces to it, if not outright enjoys it.
Then in the present, they’ve been so far out of each other’s orbit for so long, held such animosity that when they have their moment alone in the sauna, Art physically recoils from Patrick’s close proximity! It’s so painful to watch because even as Patrick’s goading him, it’s so obvious he wants to be able to get back into Art’s space. But Art has erected all these walls around himself, he refuses to give Patrick an inch or even admit to missing how close they used to be!
AND THEN we see Art and Tashi later and he wants her to hold him, to be gentle with him, and just TOUCH him. Like, he does miss that kind of close physical contact! He either doesn’t know how to ask for it or is uncomfortable being that openly vulnerable. Worth noting that he pretty much always defers to Tashi in regard to initiating physical intimacy (with their first kiss, though he does state his desire, SHE has to be the one to make the first move). And it seems pretty obvious that Tashi herself isn’t comfortable providing that intimacy, whereas Patrick actively seeks to provide it (the hug/forehead kiss after their win together in the early years, dragging the stool closer to him).
Art has tried very hard to act like he doesn’t need physical affection and even though his discipline and devotion to Tashi has made him a stronger tennis player, it’s made him a hollow person, which, in turn, has kept him from becoming a GREAT tennis player.
All of this, of course, is why the ending hits so damn hard.
challengers spoilers…. im obsessed with how we know everything we need to know about art and patrick and tashi within their first scenes like. art asks patrick to throw the match so art can please his grandmother (or at least that’s what he says) and patrick agrees both because he’s deeply unserious about tennis separate from art, and also because art asks. then tashi enters. patrick blusters and pushes her but she keeps looking at silent art who seems to have fallen for her tennis game at first sight. she says tennis is a relationship. whoever wins the match will get my number. and patrick, knowing that art and tashi are both going to stanford, doesn’t throw the match. because the only way he can stay in their lives (art’s life) as they go off to the same school and work on the same sport, is to be dating her……..

The third set then became the epitome of this match's thriller for a lot of reasons. Fast-forward to the ninth game of this match, de Loore came up with a backhand down-the-line winner that set himself one point ahead, but A. Rinderknech still held his service game to 5-4 at that game. The latter then came up with a forehand pass, which got de Loore's forehand side run over in hopes to break for the match in the twelfth game, but the tie-break became inevitable as the latter also held his serves to 6-6.
The tie-breaker then tested most of their balance, where A. Rinderknech's volley was responded to by de Loore with another reach, but the final volley from the former successfully secured his service game hold to 2-2. They then had a volley exchange for the hold between 4-4 to 5-5, but neither player could stand out until several points later. It took A. Rinderknech a third-shot drop shot to his serve that not only saved de Loore's latest match point but also created his recent match point, which was converted thanks to his cross-court forehand winner to take the third set 7-6(7), as well as securing his first Challenger title of the year.
A bunch of webcomic Ralseis! I've been wanting to do fanart for all of these comics for a while and I've got an upcoming page of my comic that requires a mix of styles/shading, so I thought this would be good practice!

Flat colors under the cut because I think you can see some of the stylistic differences better without shading.
The point is that Pizza Tower still has a racist, outdated stereotype of Indigenous people in the Oregano Desert level.
It even has a achievement for rain dancing around a totem pole (totem poles are a Pacific Northwest thing, not a Plains Tribe thing). They war cry at you and they throw tomahawks (because it's always tomahawks or spears).
Bellyache about the screencaps being 5 years old if you want, but the stereotype made it into the game, so he hasn't changed that much. He didn't change enough to have a shred of awareness about using a racist stereotype. And before anyone tries: that trope isn't a hallmark of Wario games or 90s animation, it's a hallmark of racism.
Even if he "doesn't" make bigoted jokes anymore (though I would consider the Tribe Cheese one such joke), he made an entire level based around that trope.
And like every other time there's an anti-Indigenous caricature in videogames or popular media, it doesn't get mentioned, or it gets glossed over because the creator went "Oopsie! That was cringe."
The exclusion of the Tribe Cheese from that salvo of screenshots undermines the entirety of it, because it's a solid example of him not having changed enough to be conscious beyond "that was unfunny," and everyone just focuses on what he said and when - without the connection to how that mindset still lingers in the final product of the game.
I really liked that dryad boon. A shame the entire team was ✨half-dead✨ when I got it~ A real shame I hadn't saved in forever~ A REALLY REAL SHAME I THOUGHT A SMALL PEAK UNDER THE ELFSONG TAVERN BEFORE BED WOULDN'T HURT
It. It was a very long day that day.
On the bright side, finally had the chance to use up all those fireball scrolls
MBTI Legacy Challenge
16 Generations Inspired by the 16 Myers-Briggs Types
A TS4 Legacy Challenge by @windslar
The MBTI Legacy Challenge is inspired by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator – a pseudoscientific self-report questionnaire that measures one’s preferences on four dimensions of personality type. The test attempts to assign a value to each of four categories: introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, and judging or perceiving. One’s four-letter test result represents 1 of 16 possible types. The underlying assumption of MBTI is that each type has specific preferences in the way they interpret their experiences.
This legacy challenge is about diving deeper into the personalities of your sims beyond the limitations of the game. Each type’s preferences underpin their interests, needs, values, and motivation. And in exploring each generation, decisions are made with that particular personality in mind. There are no backstories; rather, there are detailed descriptions and curated lists of aspirations, traits, and careers that are deliberately left open-ended so you can create unique stories. There are also scenarios and prompts specific to each type that affect the lives of your sims in relation to their career, love life, and relationship with their children. No two MBTI Legacy Challenges will ever be the same. This challenge is for players who love structure but also love the freedom to be creative in their gameplay and storytelling.
The official tag for this challenge is #MBTILC
