I know that it’s not clear whether Jeyne Poole was crushing on Robb or Theon, and even though, when shipping, I like to believe it was Theon, I would prefer to think it was both. Because, to me, it would be very funny if Jeyne Poole had her own Margaery Tyrell-type of curse.

If Jeyne Poole ever crushes on you, you will at some point suffer greatly and end up looking very fucked up.

The intensity of the crush will also determine how fucked up you end up looking!

Beric Dondarrion? She wanted to marry him the minute she saw him. Used to be handsome and dashing and now he looks like a zombi, is missing an eye, has lost half of his hair and has huge scars around his neck and cranium!

Theon Greyjoy? She considered him handsome and simped by watching him play in the yard and now he is suffering from malnutrition! Has lost most of his teeth, three fingers, three toes, his hair is white and brittle like that of an old man and he hasn’t been allowed to bathe in 7 months!

Robb Stark? Good looking fellaw favoring the Tully side of his family whom she looked at a few times with slight romantic interest. Due to the crush being mild, it was only his corpse that got disfigured, but still! they cut his head off to sew that of his wolf’s on his body!

If she at some point crushes on Jon, I want to see him start to disfigure too. Make him look like Ghost. Give him white hair, a bunch of scars and red eyes.

This is all obviously meant as a joke, but I do think it is interesting how Jeyne Poole was presented to the viewers as Sansa‘s shallow sidekick (calling Arya “Horseface”, the mean nicknames to the twins at King’s Landing, being afraid of Jalabhar Xho due to his appearance) during the first three books only to then be shown as an extremely humane person by recognizing Theon and thus offering him humanity.

I used to ship Theon/Jeyne really hard when I first read ADWD (and as of now, it’s a conflicting guilty pleasure), but it always amused me seeing how different her fandom-characterization was depending on whom the focus of the story was.

In Sansa focused stuff she is usually the less-pretty, snarky (often more vulgar) best friend. (À la Robb & Theon)

In Arya focused fics she takes a more antagonistic role, although she is never “evil”, just a minor bully. (À la Jon & Theon)

And then with Theon focused stuff she is practically a saint! Even when Theon is characterized as more snarky than he usually is in post-Ramsay fics, she is always portrayed as extremely patient, caring, tender, gentle, etc.

And mostly, she is also vaguely ignorant. Rarely have I seen fanfics where she is confronted with Theon’s past actions, and in the few cases she is then she immediately becomes wise and forgiving and is as understanding as most of the Theon-loving-readers are.

This is not meant as a critique to those who write her in that way (I’d be a huge hypocrite, as said, that ship is the conflicting guilty pleasure), but I would love to see a different reaction. I would love see her frightened. I would love to see her appalled and disgusted. (And after that initial reaction, and maybe some time where they have a bit of emotional distance, she can become wise and forgiving and all that too while still being bitter every now and then about him, you know, having threatened to hang Beth, whom she was apparently friends with, killing two innocent kids AND PASSING THEM AS HIGHBORN LORDS OF WINTERFELL, offering Palla to be raped BY RAMSAY, and overall just bringing a bunch of murderous pirates to what used to be her home)

Anyway, I think this all shows:

1. How much of her characterization is derived from Theon.

2. How Theon might unconsciously see her (his one act of heroism)

3. How little we actually know of her.

“Compassionate”, “able to see the humanity in Theon, even after his Reek transformation”

Yes! But really?

How much of the “compassionate” trait is her true self and how much of it is just a valid reaction to the terrible circumstances she has been put in?

When she is trying to get him to run away with her she says something among the lines of “they say he hurt you”, which indicates that she might have already known Theon was there and what had happened to him, before she even saw him.

She might have not recognized him were it not for that prior knowledge.

And her wanting to run away with him probably isn’t because she is into him. It’s because she wants to run away.

They are not friends. They are co-victims.

So, consistent-cannony traits of Jeyne Poole:

She likes sweets (lemon cakes, strawberry pie)

She doesn’t like violence (remember the tourney in King’s Landing?)

She has a thing for older guys, redheads or possibly both (Theon, Robb, Beric)

Is she compassionate? I’d like to believe so. I think what she’s been through since we last saw her making fun of others appearance can drastically change her vision of the world through a very sad and undeserved manner.

Jeyne Poole might have been mean and shallow but people don’t deserve to be flogged, sold into prostitution at age 12 and then also be married off to Medieval-themed-Bubba Sawyer and Hannibal Lecters’ love child because of possibly being a mean and shallow preteen. Most preteens are mean and shallow.

Is she genuine in her affections for Theon?

Yes! She is 14. She is not a master manipulator. I think she has some form of positive attachement to him. But the reasons behind that affection can be a little twisted, although that wouldn’t be her fault.

And with this I want to expand on what I meant with the “his one act of heroism”

Part of what has made me feel conflicted by Theon/Jeyne as a ship (still guilty! Very guilty!) is how he thinks of her.

He victim-blames her, complains about her crying (she has a lot of reasons to cry!), he even damns her during TWOW, but this is all internal. From the very beginning his actions towards her are surprisingly tender and very gentle. The only exception I can think of when the tones in his internal and external treatment of her are inverted is during TWOW when he says “Jeyne Poole is the next thing to a whore” but then follows with “he meant no hurt to her”, which sounds heartbreakingly remorseful as you read it.

In most works focusing on TheonJeyne, both through a platonic or romantic lens, fluff and hurt/comfort are some of the most used tropes, with angst being a close second.

14-year-old-me loved those. 21-year-old-me still loves those very dearly, but also thinks there is a third more macabre option to be explored and I’m eagerly waiting for that option.

@/nosafeanchorage and @/brideoffires made some well-explained and extensive comparisons between the TheonJeyne dynamic and the ViserysDaenerys dynamic (here, here and here) and personally, I think there could even be a few parallels between the LittlefingerSansa dynamic too. (Fake identity, Littlefinger intending to hand Sansa to Harry in order to make her marry the heir- Theon handing Jeyne (against their will) to Ramsay in order to make him marry the heir, the girls don’t know of some of the viler acts of the guys who are “helping” them, at some point the men dreamed of marrying someone who was close to the girls (Petyr-Cat) (Theon-Sansa))

Of course, the TheonJeyne dynamic significantly differs from those two in the facts that Theon is (somewhat) genuinely interested in her well-being simply because she is a fellow human being, and not because he is lusting for the scared girl he acts as some sort of twisted protector for, and that he also doesn’t hold any real power over her like Viserys/Littlefinger held/holds over Daenerys/Sansa.

But I do think, that Theon isn’t beyond taking emotional advantage of her.

Should he survive past the Theon TWOW preview-chapter and also remain in company of Jeyne, I think it could be easy for this 14-year-old girl with no house, no name, no family, no identity, to see Theon as her winged knight. Not necessarily through a romantic lens (I doubt it, but it might be possible too. She’s 14. 14 year olds have weird crushes and she in a horrible mental state), but simply out of dependence.

The only other person we know of who Jeyne is/was close with is Sansa, who has no idea what happened to her, and Jeyne also probably has no idea what happened to Sansa.

Theon is her ride or die as Jeyne Poole.

Theon is her only friend.

Theon.

This is dangerous.

Theon is my favorite character. I made this idiot one of my favorites when I first read him kicking that head like a college student would and then I made him my all time favorite during ACOK! I’ve been rooting for this guy since I was 13!

Me, talking to my dad on the way to the hospital after reading Theon V, ACOK for the first time in my life back in 2014:

I believe he is capable of good. I believe in him. I want him to make good choices and be a good person. I want him to succeed in life. I want him to have healthy, mutually loving relationships with Asha, Wex and Dagmer! I want him to eventually become friends with Qarl and Tris and Hagen’s daughter! I want him to reencounter Patrek, Barbrey and Bran and have emotionally cathartic reunions!

I WANT HIM AND JEYNE TO HAVE A BOND THAT IS COMPLEX BUT POSITIVE AND AFFECTIONATE!!!

I want him to be loved and cherished. I want him to be seen as capable of doing good and as deserving of being good to.

But that’s what I want him to be. Not who he currently is.

Currently, he is an enemy of the state! Which state? Pretty much all states! Everyone hates him! Last we heard of him he was chained to a wall while people were planning his execution. Preferably, they wanted him to be burned alive. The only people who canonically and explicitly have some positive-affection for him are his mom, who he hasn’t seen in 11 years, his sister, whom the relationship with is already kind of messed up, Dagmer Cleftjaw who might not even be alive, maaaaybe Wex Pyke and fucking Jeyne Poole, who has no one else in this world!

Jeyne Poole, who might not even know of all the things he is hated for.

Jeyne Poole, who in her desperate plea for help offered to become his wife or whore and for him to become her man.

Jeyne Poole, who strokes his cheek and smiles and says “you saved me” like some lovelorn maiden in a song.

Jeyne Poole, who used to watch him play in the yard and thought he was handsome.

Jeyne Poole, who could easily begin to idolize him.

Now, I don’t think Theon would use that for nefarious purposes like Littlefinger or Viserys do/did. But I can imagine he might need the emotional support and someone who actually sees him as a good person deserving of good things. Even if he thinks he is not. And I can imagine he would maybe hide some things and semi-unconsciously manipulate this girl a bit due to the fear of losing such. With manipulate I mean:

- not letting ANYONE know who she really is

- remarking on her lack of importance as Jeyne Poole

- the unusual tenderness

Until now all these things have been done with the best of intentions. Theon genuinely wanted to protect her and get her away from Ramsay and he is very probably right about how poorly people would treat her if they knew of her true identity. I believe that, if going by the stuff I wrote prior, this can all still be part of his intentions.

I believe he can also be motivated by the somewhat-selfish need of having someone who believes in him and doesn’t see him as a despicable person (bonus points if he can also hold some sort of power over that person,even if it’s just of the emotional sort).

I believe both of these things can coexist without being mutually exclusive. People are complicated and this guy has a lot of issues.

"The sound rumbled across the city like thunder, warning of the storm to come."- Sansa(AGOT IV). It's after Robert's death and crowning of Joffery. "Now the storm is coming, a storm such as these isles have never known."- AFFC. It's about Euron. Both Joffery and Euron are associated with storms. And then there is Dany who was born in storm known as Stormborn.

Storms are used in a couple different ways, I think. Often, writers insert them to have the weather mimic a character’s emotional state, or as your quotes are used, to give the reader a sense of foreboding. GoT ultimately decided to contrast Dany’s birth which was welcomed with a horrible storm to Sansa’s which was celebrated with the ringing of bells to indicate to the audience the devastation one would bring to Westeros and the endgame for the other. Martin also uses the threat of storms, particularly in the North, as a practical concern that impacts the plot.

But, you’re right, it’s a negative thing about certain characters too, and there definitely is a building momentum with the Dany / Euron storm quotes. It’s foreboding for Westeros, also seems to indicate a struggle between the two of them:

She had been born on Dragonstone nine moons after their flight, while a raging summer storm threatened to rip the island fastness apart. They said that storm was terrible. The Targaryen fleet was smashed while it lay at anchor, and huge stone blocks were ripped from the parapets and sent hurtling into the wild waters of the narrow sea. Her mother had died birthing her, and for that her brother Viserys had never forgiven her. (AGOT, Daenerys I)

No squall could frighten Dany, though. Daenerys Stormborn, she was called, for she had come howling into the world on distant Dragonstone as the greatest storm in the memory of Westeros howled outside, a storm so fierce that it ripped gargoyles from the castle walls and smashed her father's fleet to kindling. (ASOS, Daenerys I)

Initially, the storms are about her birth but then we have the kraken thrown in there:

"We are the ones who are lost, ser. Drogon has no taste for this wet creeping, no more than I do." Bolder than the other two, her black dragon had been the first to try his wings above the water, the first to flutter from ship to ship, the first to lose himself in a passing cloud . . . and the first to kill. The flying fish no sooner broke the surface of the water than they were enveloped in a lance of flame, snatched up, and swallowed. "How big will he grow?" Dany asked curiously. "Do you know?"

"In the Seven Kingdoms, there are tales of dragons who grew so huge that they could pluck giant krakens from the seas."

Dany laughed. "That would be a wondrous sight to see."

and then of course, these more specifically about the danger of Euron and his ambition:

I’m afraid I’m one of those people who can’t accept character for who he is but I kinda do hope for buggy to get some “I’m slow learner it’s true. But I learn” moment in the future 🫠 I don’t know, I just want him to have anything, Oda come on. I don’t need him to get anything great or his fruit to become powerful

i know this is not what you were getting at with that reference, but i really don’t see buggy as a sansa type. he wasn’t naive at the start of the story—if anything, i think he was a bit jaded. (so, more like an early series tyrion, if we’re doing got parallels here.) once wounded, twice shy, you know? he settled on petty goals and dreams because he’d tried for something he really wanted once and saw that dream burn down so hard and fast he never recovered.

Since the show ends badly, are the books ending any better? I hate putting a lot of effort into reading (dyslexia) just for the ending to be bad. If it's good I'll just swap the show ending for the book ending in my mind

well, that’s sort of a tricky question. i could tell you a million theories i have about how the books will end, but in truth, only time will tell, and most fans aren’t optimistic that we’ll ever get ADOS(the final book).

but i can tell you that george has said the major beats(sansa’s coronation, tyrions thing, king bran, aryas pirate thing, dark dany) will all be the same, but most other endings for minor characters (the hound, euron greyjoy, theon, all of dorne, jaime/cersei will die together but probably much eariler, jaime and tyrion will prob never fix their relationship,etc. etc.) just because the show cut lots and lots and lots of characters and plot lines, so they’ll have to play a role in the ending too, making it vastly different from the show. i believe it will be a happy ending/stark restoration, and i take that from many quotes george has said throughout the years, the books themselves, and george’s personal political views.

like say, cersei in the final few seasons is not actually cersei, she’s merged with a very important (and poc) character that was cut from the show. his name is aegon vi/young griff, and i’d recommend looking into him, he’s one of my favorite characters in the series. another one id rec looking at is arianne martell (a woc), who has her own reoccurring POV chapters and everything. she’s not just a very important political player in westeros, she’s been climbing up to main character(or at least high secondary) in the last few books and the TWOW chapters that have been released early.

in the end, the books and long but not super hard to read, and definitely worth it in my opinion. but they’re not done, no one knows if they’ll ever be done. all we can do is speculate. but what’s out is absolutely amazing!!! like think of how good you think the show is right now, and then multiply that by like a bil and that’s how good the books are. (this is coming from a book nerd so)

So I’ve had this idea for a while but I’m not sure how to execute it. I’m hoping by sharing it with you all, I might get some inspiration/motivation for actually writing it: What if the Dance of the Dragons was Viserys’ dragon dream. So after Aemma dies (and in this AU Daemon doesn’t make the “heir for a day” comment or this happens before he gets the chance to say it) Viserys decided ‘fuck it, I’m the king, if I don’t want to take on a new wife I don’t have to.’ Plus, having seen his fate he doesn’t want to subject a woman to his condition. So he decides he’s going to change the game completely.

He betroths Rhaenyra and Daemon and names BOTH of them his heirs, to rule as equals. (Obviously this causes an uproar but he knows they can handle it if they all stay together as a family.) As a result, Aegon, Helaena, Aemond and Daeron are Rhaenyra and Daemon’s children.

Helaena is more assertive and more like a young Rhaenyra. They catch early on that she’s a dreamer and pay much more attention to the ‘nonsense’ she expresses while caring for her insects.

Aemond is more confident and is definitely not bullied for not having a dragon. He has all of the good qualities of Daemon and just like his dad is a skilled warrior. (Aegon plans for him to be his hand when he becomes king) And it is no surprise this time when the son of 2 of the fiercest Targaryens claims Vhagar, the largest dragon still remaining in the world.

Daeron takes more after his grandfather, Viserys. He is good natured and jovial, and just a treasure for everyone around him (since he didn’t appear in the show I don’t really know how to combine my ideal characterization for him with how he’s portrayed)

And finally, Aegon. I feel like he would be the perfect combination of Rhaenyra and Daemon. And because he would grow up in a more loving environment, without any pressure of stealing the crown from Rhaenyra, I feel like he wouldn’t feel the need to drown himself in booze and whores. He would be given the chance to enjoy his childhood while also properly preparing him for his eventual reign after his parents. He would still be a snarky little shit from time to time (hello Daemon’s son) but he would also have a firmer grasp on authority (have you meet his new mama?)

As for Alicent, I feel like Viserys would still have had a soft spot for her and wouldn’t want her to suffer a similar fate to his dream. So he arranges for a marriage between her and one of Lord Stark’s sons. This way a) he can get her away from Otto and his manipulation and b) Aegon the Conqueror’s dream said something was building in the North, what better way to strengthen the stronghold up there than to have the Queen’s best friend marry the overlord of that region?

In addition, Alicent ends up giving birth to a girl around Aegon’s age, leading to a betrothal between her and Aegon. I feel like said daughter would be a combination of regal noblewoman (see Sansa Stark) and fierce warrior (see Arya Stark). If Aegon is anything like his parents he’d meet this girl and his immediate reaction would just be:

Aemond would be betrothed to a soft, gentle noble lady from the Riverlands. Who brings along her best friend, caregiver/ (and secret love interest) Alys Rivers. The three eventually begin a cute polyamorous relationship where Alys and Aemond are certified sunshine protectors and their darling is the sunshine. Aemond would later follow the Targaryen tradition of marrying Alys so the three can live their happy poly life.

Helaena becomes engaged to a Lord from the Iron Islands (I love me some Viking/pirate action). I feel like he would find her interest in bugs to be very enduring, and frequently encourages it, especially once he finds out it helps her do her divination. This would also secure a strong naval fleet for King’s Landing.

Finally, Daeron would be betrothed to a Dornish Princess. This way it would secure an alliance with Dorne that would eventually lead to bringing Dorne into the Seven Kingdoms. I feel like she would be very open-minded and gentle hearted. But this doesn’t make her defenseless. She rather enjoys gardening, and some say half of her garden is full of cooking herbs, the other half is poisons and sometimes, she cooks with both.

Now, what about Laena and Laenor? Laena I could see Viserys arranging a marriage for her with a house that has a strong army to help assist with the Stepstones (perhaps the Blackwoods?) She would probably end up suffering from the same fate however, dying during childbirth. However, since Rhaena and Baela’s relationship with Aemond would be vastly different in this universe, I feel like not only would they be ok with him claiming Vhagar, but maybe even encourage it if he asked for their blessing first.

As for Laenor, if I recall correctly there was a noble lady in the Vale around his time that had a “uniquely” close relationship with her best (female) friend (if you catch my drift). And boy do we love to see gay/lesbian alliances. And if she never bares a child, well some women are barren, right?

"Metal Bones and Wolves Teeth"- the final chapter for a fic I haven't updated since 2019, to my great shame. My plan was to cover Gendry and Arya's reunion at Winterfell and Sansa and Theon meeting and taking in Theon's bastard; sort of a parallel to Jon's upbringing except with much healthier relationships all around. I hate to think of this fic as abandoned, but tbh I think I've grown a lot as a fic writer since then and just haven't been able to rekindle that same drive to finish it. Maybe I'll get back to it one day.

"never love an anchor"- the working title for my Sansa goes to Dragonstone in s7 au! Title comes from a song by the Crane Wives. This one is probably the most plotted-out project I've done yet (seriously, it's color coded) but aside from a few scenes here and there, I've yet to actually sit down and write the darn thing- that's life when you're a grad student. Here's a little snippet though!

Deep down, she had never expected to see Theon again, and she had done her best to make her peace with that. But the sight of him there, on that beach- it made a long-neglected part of her sing. She would have thought that after weeks at sea she would be sick of saltwater, but as she took him in her arms, the way the scent clung to his skin was a comfort.

thing idk- I genuinely have no idea what this was supposed to be, presumably the start of some sort of post-long night au?? this is literally all I have in the doc, with zero notes about what else was going on because of course not:

The moment he stepped foot into the godswood, Theon knew he was going to die. He had accepted that it was a possibility when he swore to protect Bran, but it was not until he actually stood there that he knew his death was imminent.

He went to his death bravely, surrounded by his fellow ironborn- they too knew they were about to die, far from the sea. They were there for Yara, not out of loyalty to him, but he appreciated their presence nonetheless. It was more than a turncloak like him deserved.

Theon never expected to wake up.

yotp march- my March fill for the year of the OTP challenge! The prompts for this month are fresh starts / road trip / getting back together/mutual pining / “make me” / acceptance / fairytale au; I'm taking the "road trip" angle, except it's Theon rescuing Sansa from King's Landing. Have some dialogue with a side helping of pain:

You were always Robb’s dearest friend, and then suddenly your attention was on me. Every action and gesture was so genuine and kind, that next to you Joffrey always looked shallow.”

“Good,” Theon croaked, hardly able to speak under her gaze. “I was trying to prove you deserve better than him.”

“I do,” she agreed. “I deserve you.”

“Lady Sansa-“

“You are brave and gentle and strong, Theon. You are the match my father said he would make for me,” Sansa wrapped her arms around his neck, her very touch shooting electricity through his body. “You’ve protected me, you told me yourself that everything you’ve done in King’s Landing was all to protect me. How could I not fall in love with your devotion? It’s all I’ve ever wanted.”

Snow

“There are only five Starks,” Jon said, bitter and sadness all in his voice, glaring at Theon as if he hated being counted among Ned Stark’s children. “I only see five pups.”

Still holding the wolf he knew to be called “Lady” as soon as they got home and he would place it into the arms of the eldest daughter, Theon indicated a ways off with his chin. “Over there. A pure white pup, the runt of the litter. White like snow for you, Jon. So you can keep pretending you aren’t a Stark.”

Jon gave him an incredulous look, before making his way over to a mewling, whining direwolf. Once he lifted the pup into his arms, Ghost went quiet; and Theon knew he would remain that way.

Moon

- Sunshine/The Prince of Winterfell (May YOTP)

She saw the dark clouds forming around his head, so she reached up to caress the scruff of his beard as she planted a gentle kiss on his lips, trying to draw him back into the warm sunlight of the Glass Garden and the bundle of joy between them. “What’s his name, Theon?” She asked softly after having parted from their embrace, but not moving away.

They were so close that the toddler was pressed between them, and Theon wrapped his arms around both him and Sansa. He smiled down at the little Ironborn boy, a sadder smile than before, but certainly an improvement from any thoughts of the Long Night, as he pressed a kiss into the curls on the top of his head that mirrored his own.

“They called him Snow still,” he told her. “Would’ve given him a name on the one-year anniversary of being brought to the orphanage, which the nurse said was within the next moon. So, Queen Sansa, what would you like to name him?”

“Robb,” she said without a moment of hesitation. “Robb Stark, the Prince of Winterfell.”

“Sansa~!”

She looked toward the sing-song voice to find Margaery gliding from the other end of the office toward her as quickly as she could in six inch heels (which was really much faster than anyone should be able to move in such shoes). Once her best friend has reached her, Margaery planted a kiss on her friend’s cheek. “I was beginning to fret, darling. Three minutes late is so not like you!”

Sansa sighed. “I stayed up much later than I meant to last night.”

Margaery quirked an eyebrow. “Reading, perhaps?”

She suppressed a giggle. It was an endless source of amusement, that Margaery should be such a huge fan of her books. It wasn’t that Sansa intentionally hid it from her, at least not at first; when the first Edric and Arielle book had gotten quite a bit of buzz, and Sansa had received her first large paycheck from the publishing company, she had literally just opened her mouth to tell Margaery about it. However, Margaery promptly plopped a copy into Sansa’s lap, gushing about how she had read the book in one evening and that Sansa simply had to read it because Alayne Stone wrote the steamiest, most toe-curling romance imaginable.

Wave

- Two Queens and a Champion (Theon rises again, as the Drowned God’s champion)

“Do you remember who you are?”

Theon opened his eyes. The first thing he felt was confusion at the lack of discomfort in his bones. Even when he was in the best shape he had been in years, there was always still some protest from his fingers, from his knees. Instead, he only felt a gentle sensation across his skin, like the gentle waves of a calm day on Pyke. He had not stood in the waves off the shore of his home since before taking Winterfell. It felt a lifetime ago, a wholly different person.

More and more things did not make sense, the more Theon came to life, his brain and thoughts slowly coming back to him. He remembered the cold. He remembered the dance of flames. He remembered a tenseness in his shoulders as he… yes, as he drew back the string of his bow, armed with flaming arrows. Why had he needed flaming arrows?

And then at all at once, he felt an impact to his gut, as visions of the undead running at him while making an unholy noise crossed his eyes. His whole body recoiled around the impact, as he remembered a pair of ice-blue eyes staring into him as he sputtered blood into the snow. Now all that came out of his mouth were bubbles. That was it, that explained the sensation against his skin, and the free floating of his hair. He was underwater. He was dead.

this is 100% because you and @bohemicns wrote those excellent fics for the mutually assured destruction ficathon, what can one do.

I'm not exaggerating when I say there's little content for some of these. This is all I have for this fic:

evil annie, which he takes to calling her, is a creature whose sole intent is to mesmerize. this is the only way he manages to make sense of how he feels when she looks at him.

I don't care about a plot, when have I ever, what I do want to see is Abed's attempts to ~narratively explain to himself his attraction towards Evil!Annie.

girlhood is like godhood begging to be believed

This is one of those things that doesn't have a single word to it, it's just an idea. I am a big Dangerous Liaisons fan, and am not opposed to indulging in Greek myth, let us say, so I thought to myself, why not both? *El Dorado gif*

I wanted to take the whole cast of the four siblings and add some adjacent dumbasses (cassandra, ok, any excuse to add cassandra is a good excuse). So we have clytemnestra, castor, pollux, helen & cassandra. We have a dangerous liaisons AU. That is all.

(Also, I was a big fan of Castor and Pollux in the original Sailor Moon anime. Make of that what you will.)

Now when I look at all this, I'm not even sure how this title got here. Maybe from a ficathon? *shrugs shoulders*

vanessa blair

The world would've been a better place if we could've gotten a Vanessa/blair friendship. I want basically Dan/Blair, but with Vanessa. If no one else writes it, I will have to.

Vanessa walks into the woman soon be known as Blair exactly like the sleep-deprived freshwoman (thank you very much) disaster she is, looking over some shots of the yard taken on her phone yesterday when she was considering shooting her next video there.

amy ainsley AU

Now, this I have more of. Maybe this was for an exchange or sth? I know I never posted it, or finished it. Amy is Amy March from Little Women, transported into The West Wing to annoy & make Ainsely fall in love with her.

This one has more meat on its bones, but not sure how I would go about continuing it.

Ainsley, as a rule, hates being prejudiced, but she's also not come where she's come without using a few mental shortcuts on her way from there to here, and from where Ainsley's standing both generally in life, as a Deputy White House Council, a black sheep of a Republican in a Democratic administration, and specifically, on this staff meeting, well - Amy smells of Massachusetts, her stated home state, amongst other things; reeks of it even, a poster child of inadequate driving skills (telling a tale of hitting a lamp post in Boston, albeit discreetly, but Ainsley overheard it anyway), nursing what Ainsley knows is the cheapest and by far the worst coffee in a one-mile radius, skipping over some of her Rs, though not all of them, and last but not fucking least there is the mind-shattering liberalism obvious from -- well, maybe it's not obvious in the usual sense of the word, and maybe Ainsley will have to concede her brain's jump-to-conclusionness, but yeah, it's not like Ainsley to be wrong about these kinds of things.

elizabeth / sansa

best crossover ever. @kwritten wrote one once and it was glorious. what i had in mind was elizabeth swann as the pirate king, and sansa, after she jumps off the cliff in whatever season it was.

It - he - she - Elizabeth cannot tell yet, is a castaway. She thinks she saw the shape of a dress, but it might not have been dress. What she definitely has seen - and this is impressive - and Elizabeth does not impress easily these days, is that the dress-carrying-the-for-now-genderless being jumped off the top of the cliff. Elizabeth's done crazy things in her day, her day being yesterday and also tomorrow, but she's never jumped off a cliff this high. It's impressive, this person is impressive, and Elizabeth is impressed, still, when she steps into the rowboat herself, telling Gibbs to man the ship and wait for her for an hour.

"Keep a weather eye on the horizon."

Gibbs nods. If he is dissatisfied, he does not show it, and this pleases Elizabeth, who does not wish him to show his feelings always when he has them.

jenny blair wedding dress

I originally wanted this to just be fun shenanigans. I don't know what I want anymore. It's supposed to be Jenny dropping by to make Serena's wedding dress, on Blair's orders. And then, shenanigans.

About me

Male 24. Literate, Detailed and Descriptive writer. I write exclusively in third person past tense, para style and my replies range over a couple or more paras depending on the context. Quality over Quantity and prefer someone engaging rather than reactive and passive who let me do all the work.

Activity - I am fairly active and can give atleast a response per day or more depending on my availability and would prefer someone who can atleast give two responses in a week.

Communication - If you are not interested, say so. If you want to do something else, say so. If you want something, say so.

General Themes - I am a sucker for romance and all of the plots will be based on character development rather than world-building. I am focused on the interaction, growth and memorable moments between the characters rather than the external plot. I have provided some plot ideas which might give a fair idea about my interests in the rp.

Sex - Yes, I adore it and welcomed. It is not the sole focus but it does help the growth of the characters. I don't have many kinks and would prefer if the sex is related to the plot and helps grow the characters. I do not want to break your character or tame her. I don't do excessive violence. I enjoy both sides of it - dark and fluffy romances. No hard limits but I don't prefer the docile, fragile and passive female characters who are overtly submissive.

I prefer realistic face claims. I play multiple characters if needed and expect the same but it isn't necessary.

Harry x Ron x Hermoine - Love Triangle but they all will turn evil.

Game of Thrones - One of my favorite fandoms and I can be persuaded for any pairing.

Robb Stark x Dany - The red wedding did not happen. Robb Stark is alive and Dany joins side with Robb to defeat the white walkers and seize the Iron Throne.

Ramsay x Dany - Instead of sailing to Essos, Dany at the start of the season was found by Ramsay. Noticing her platinum hair, he takes her hostage and enslaves her. He would use her to seize Winterfell by using her dragons. Ramsay will be cruel, sadistic and manipulative.

Robb x Dany - The same prompt above but instead of Ramsay, Robb finds a young naive Dany at Winterfell at the very start of the season. He takes and makes her a maid to conceal her identity. Robb will cute, wholesome and lovely but they will avenge their father together after his death.

Cersei x Jaime - Basically their love life and sneaky sex combined with multiple murders that they have commited. I may also have to play Robert in this one.

Ramsay x Sansa - Self explanatory

Ramsay x Sansa x Arya.

Margaery is also a favorite but not sure about the plot.

Original Plots -

I highly prefer if the setting is medieval.

Princess X BodyGuard - A young princess was forced to be married to a new king but she meets a handsome bodyguard who saved her life. No submissive bratty princesses.

Shared Bride - In a barbaric kingdom ruled by two brothers, they both marry the same bride as part of their customs.

Post- Apocalyptic - Self explanatory - I could be anyone. A cute nerd, a retired military, a 40 year old hiker, a married man and so on.

Pirates - He is a pirate. She is a pirate. They both strike a deal to steal a treasure together. They both are cunning and try to cheat the other.

That's all I guess. Just don't bring overtly submissive characters and add to the plot. I adore romance, possessive characters, jealousy and the meaningful dialogues between characters - just a reminder. I have free time and expect it to last long. So, approach if you are serious. Please do attach some major kinks( if any), favorite plots and any random writing sample of yours. Thanks.

Story

After the forced intercourse between Aerys II and an unknown female Tully, a homeless woman approached the Tully, trying to help her.

Feeling miserable, the Tully couldn’t help but feel embarrassed and quickly tried to push the homeless woman away, not wanting the news to spread, however, the homeless woman wasn’t intimidated by her reaction and assured her secrecy, desperate, the Tully finally accepted the help.

Eventually she found out that all the tea she had drunk that day wasn’t efficient when she started feeling the first symptoms of her pregnancy.

Feeling lost and too ashamed to admit she was abused and carrying the mad king children, she decided to look for the woman that once helped her. Their relationship had flourished into a beautiful friendship after the Tully came back to show her gratitude, finding her a place to stay and helping her with groceries.

She had no idea how she’d go through pregnancy without being noticed, however, she asked for her friend’s help once again and both agreed to a plan: once the children was born, the Tully would bring the baby to her and she would run to Essos and raise the baby as hers, that was the only way for her children to survive in case the truth came out.

She still didn’t know how she would get her friend on a ship but she would work on that and find a way, after all, there was nothing that money or favours couldn’t get.

The Tully isolated herself once her belly started to show up, using big coats and doing her best to hide it from curious eyes.

Eventually the day came and Tirannia was finally born, healthy and crying to the winds of the Winter.

Their plan was successful and they reached Essos a few weeks later, it wasn’t a easy life for them but eventually Tirannia started slowly grow up, until a tragedy happened, her adoptive mother got sick.

She was getting old and eventually ended up passing away months later while Tirannia did her best to help her by stealing food.

Tirannia was heartbroken and tried to survive on her own even though she was barely 10, getting quite the reputation as a thief that unfortunately came with a price: the price of vengeance.

She was violently ambushed by market sellers and then sold to a pleasure house where she lived for the next 10 years of her life until she was actually able to escape after deceiving a very important and regular customer.

Her life after escaping wasn’t easy, she was well known because of her bad reputation and eventually had to move.

Barely did she know that the truth had come out in Westeros months ago and with all the tension around Daenerys she was now being hunted down with a prize for her head; luckily for her, no one knew what she looked like and she didn’t share much in common with her father, taking way more after her mother who barely anyone knew.

Eventually she started to hear about it all around Essos as the prize was quite high and people kept coming up with conspiracies of who she may be, it took her some time to understand people were referring to her adoptive mother but all her doubts were gone when she finally heard her name.

She now knew she was the person they were looking for.

Curious about her family, she started adventuring and studying, making friends with sailors and later on used what she was taught at the pleasure house to once again deceive men to her own benefit, this time getting her own ship in return.

Her goal was to visit Dragonstone to connect with her origins and try to find more about herself and she did it.

Tirannia finds a mysterious semi-submerged cave at the island while exploring and an even more curious thing happened: She found something there, something round that looked like an egg.

She believed it to be some sort of a valuable egg from an aquatic creature and took it with her on her adventure for knowledge.

As one of the most desired sex slaves from her pleasure house, she found herself as wanted all around Essos and unfortunately she made the mistake of returning after finding out about her half-sister, she wanted to find her but was caught by surprise instead.

They took her back to the pleasure house, trading their catch for valuable favours but her suffering had barely begun.

Furious about her escape, the owner of the pleasure house severely punished her, not only with genital mutilation but also cold blood sterilization; little did he know that the egg he had just deemed as useless hours ago would celebrate all that carnage by hatching to the sound of her cries and the heat of her growing hatred towards men that burned like fire inside her.

“A life for a life”, that’s what she had heard and read several times about hatching dragon eggs, but what did it meant to her? That was when she stopped to realize she would never be able to generate life, it was an unwilling sacrifice but a sacrifice nonetheless.

When she finally gained her conscience back, she realized that the man who had so much power over her was gone, carbonized, right beside her, she felt a cold shiver on her belly, looked down and saw a small and very disproportionate dragon looking back at her, confuse, she took some time to realize she was finally free. Later on she finally finds her half-sister and pledge her loyalty to her, turning into one of her personal guards.
