You think it's funny to be disrespectful to public servants and elected officials? Why am I not surprised? From what I can see from your posts it seems you're really just a piece of oversexed liberal trash.
Funny? Not really. I don't think it's funny to be disrespectful to other human beings in general. I do think that if you're going to run for office you should be able to take some heat and also, in context, what I said was fitting and spoke a valid concern that I have about the candidate in question which is: they do not seem to be willing to do anything about the emergent issues facing our community, namely poverty and homelessness. I know for a fact they've voted against funding for the local homeless shelter from a tax increase levied in the last voting cycle in favor of dumping the fund into...wait for it...building a pickleball court that literally no one ever asked for. As someone who pays sales and property tax here, and seemingly gives more of a shit about my neighbors than ANY of our mayoral candidates, I'm definitely within my rights to bitch about that.
Please don't read any of that as an attempt to justify myself to you because holy shit if I ever feel the need to do that my life has truly gone off the rails. You can't even summon the fortitude to send your ask without being anonymous, I could not possibly care less about your opinion on the nature of my civic engagement. I'm involved in the process in every way I can be...what have YOU been doing lately?

What are your hcs for Katara and Iroh? My main one is just that they gently bully Zuko when they're together. (consider this reparations for making me sad with your ask)
Alright. Katara and Iroh headcanons, let's go (weeks after the fact)! In any universe where Iroh doesn't abandon his nephew the teenage Fire Lord (which is the universe I now prefer to live in)...
Katara and Iroh have tea together at least once a week. They like to exchange palace gossip and Iroh just finds Katara to be very excellent company.
It's Iroh's idea to induct Katara into the White Lotus. He admires her leadership skills and sees her as a prominent leader for the organization when she's old enough.
Iroh also shows Katara the palace library and encourages her to work as an ambassador for her people in the Fire Nation.
Because Iroh and Zuko are so close, Zuko makes his uncle aware of his feelings for Katara long before he ever tells her himself. Iroh finds this amusing because he's spent so much time with Katara himself that he knows Katara has feelings for Zuko--even if she doesn't realize this yet.
Being privy to this information means that Iroh can meddle--but he does it in a really wonderful way. Rather than urging the two of them together, Iroh lets Zuko and Katara work things out in their own time. However, he reaches out to form a friendship with Hakoda. The two of them form a fatherly bond over their children. He also uses his White Lotus ties to start smoothing out any diplomatic issues that may arise in advance. He only wants his nephew and favorite Water Tribe ambassador to be happy, after all.
When Katara starts panicking about dating the Fire Lord (because holy spirits he's not just Zuko anymore), she goes straight to Iroh for advice. Even though he spent years training Zuko for the role of Fire Lord, Iroh then gladly takes on the task of training Katara to take on the role of consort.
Iroh frequently buys Katara gifts when he's traveling. Bolts of fabric, hair accessories, jewelry, the latest in technology... At one point, he brings home a wolf for her and Zuko has to have words with him about at least giving a heads up for something like that.
When he finds out that Katara and Zuko wish they could have a small wedding, he helps arrange for them to have a secret Water Tribe ceremony before they get married in the Fire Nation. He's a hopeless romantic after all.
Katara insists that she and Zuko name their first son after Iroh. It takes a few tries before they end up with a boy, but Iroh is moved to tears when he first meets his namesake.
When Iroh finally establishes a tea shop in the Fire Nation, he creates a special blend specifically for Katara.
Near the end of his life, Iroh tells Katara thank you for all that she has taught him and for bringing such happiness to his and his nephew's life. He tells her that she has become a daughter to him and that he will always be grateful for her.
Zuko and Katara make sure that they tell their children about everything their grandpa Iroh ever did so that his memory will live on. The kids grow up clamoring to hear stories about him at bedtime.
Iroh and Katara do gently tease Zuko when they're together. But they're also his staunches supporters and closest allies. They're known to fiercely defend Zuko to the opposition and are responsible for getting a lot of his more progressive laws passed. And if a little conniving or manipulation is involved, nobody has to know. It comes from a good place after all.
I think that's all I've got for now. But I just really love the father-daughter-like relationship that Iroh and Katara could have had. It makes me very emotional. 😭😭😭

I think with Taang, they don’t usually hoard things. But if they do, it’s some weird shit or they use/give it away too quickly for it to be a ‘collection’.
Toph likes collecting rocks or various items that have different textures. She practically bit her boyfriend’s head off when he tried to ‘throw her box of trash away.’
Aang likes collecting the fortunes from fortune cookies.
Toph is a hard liquor gal. She collects high end whiskeys and bourbons. However, the collection doesn’t last long because she drinks it all.
Aang has a large collection of recipes and baking books. Toph does not complain about the use of space bc she gets good food all the time.
Aang loves stickers but he puts them on things or gives them to people so his collection is not very big. It’s usually anime, puns, or memes.
Toph keeps voicemails. Anything from her parents or friends, she ‘collects’ them because it’s something that she can always hear.
