In a recent meta on Aang sparing Ozai I mentioned Aang's need to humble himself before he meets the lion turtle. (Funnily enough, I noted a lack of foreshadowing, which I might disprove now). I cited Master Piandao only taught Sokka once he'd humbled himself in Sokka's Master, as an example of this being a recurring theme in the show.
In that very same episode, images of lion turtles can be seen in the background.
Sokka humbles himself, and that pleased the person with lion turtle imagery. And after Aang humbles himself, the lion turtle is pleased too.

I’m not deep into Zukka so idk what ideas have already been proposed but: Zulu spends so long hearing about Sokka’s master in his typical Sokka way, and it’s not until Sokka officially introduces them that Zuko realizes ‘Sokka’s Master’ and ‘Piandao, legendary swordsman and White Lotus member’ are the same man and he freaks out. Anyway Piandao helps Zuko forge twin swords out of the same meteorite as Sokka’s sword and basically Matching Swords Babey
I especially love this when you consider in the lost adventures comics they retroactively decided that Zuko had also learned his swordsmanship (or at least his initial training) from Piandao, so far a solid idk month? A couple weeks at least they're arguing over who had the better sword master only for it to turn out to be the same person, and these two dumbasses are just that confused.

How Zuko learned to be so stealthy?
Theory: from Master Piandao! Zuko canonically learned under him as revealed in one of Lost Adventures comics. Note that whenever Zuko becomes stealthy, he uses his swords. He internalizes stealth in sword and aggression and power in firebending.

Heaven Sent/Hellbent Chapter 7
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Ship: Piandao/Zuko

Summary: After refusing to face his father in an Agni Kai, Zuko was burned and Ozai determined his rebellious Omega son would need to be married to teach him an Omega’s proper place. But Iroh, working to protect his nephew, managed to at least ensure Zuko would be wed to an Alpha who would never take advantage of an Omega, and certainly not a child: Piandao.
Time passed, the Avatar rose, and Ozai was defeated. Zuko returned to Caldera to learn how to lead, and Piandao remained in Shu Jing, only to reunite to legally separate.
Zuko became the Fire Lord officially seven years ago, but now at 25 the Fire Nation nobility is putting pressure on him to find a mate. Zuko is determined never to allow an Alpha rule over him, nor does he believe in marriage. But an heir must be had, and even Uncle Iroh seems to be running out of patience.
But Zuko only ever wished for the heart of one man. Knowing he never would have that, he determined he would also never give out his own.
