you most definitely have already got this ask lol but I would love to hear more about what you picture the plot of Goncharov (1973) is (and what your opinion on the very popular gonchrey ship as well!) I am so tempted to get a poster you would not believe-

Ok so about the ship Gonchrey or Goncharov/Andrey (who si played BY HARVEY KEITEL). In my own lore, Goncharov is the main protagonist and Andrey is the main villan (it's kinda obvious from the poster lol) so I'd totally get why people ship them bc people tend to ship heros with villains. But with everyone having their own interpretation of who the chracters are, I can't comment on other people's view of them.

And now the lore! I’m sorry if this sounds stupid or doesn’t make sense, I’m writing it in a hurry and I will extend upon this in future. Also, this is not a Martin Scorsese story. It’s a mine, let’s be honest. I’m not saying this to brag but I’m not all that interested in pretending this film is real. For me, they’re just my OC’s from a funny poster I made for my mutuals. I’m saying this because I’m not trying to emulate writing of the great Martin Scrosese who I love very much. I’m just some rando person who likes mafia and gangster things. Hope that makes sense.

Oh and before I begin, no clock, boat or bridge scenes or anything of that sort is in my story. All these things were created by someone else and don’t fit in my story.

The story takes place in Prague, Naples and New York

Some info about Goncho and Andrey:

So Goncharov is the main protagonist of the story. Not much is known about him, his origin is very mysterious but it is later revealed the crime boss Andrey had his whole family murdered for owing him money and Goncharov is of polish-italian origin (I'm not sure what I want his real name to be yet). In the story Andrey is about 10 years older than Goncho in order for this to work, the actors are the same age but the eyepatch ages Andrey up so it works. Murdering Goncho’s family was one of Andrey’s first things he did after his rise to power. And so basically the story is about revenge. Andrey is half czech and half italian and he operates from Naples but his crime ring works all over the world.

If you asked Andrey how he gained all his wealth and power, he would tell you it was through hard work and that he came from virtually nothing. That's a lie as his family was very well off. The extend of his wealth can be also attributed to all the blackmails, murders, abductions, frauds, thefts and other crimes he and his crime ring commited. Maybe these are the things that constitute as "hard work" to Andrey. Andrey is also a classist and something of an ethnonationalist as he often refers to himself as full blooded italian and rarely admits his half slavic origin.

Here’s some info about Katya and Goncho’s relationship from other ask (some info about Sofia too):

In my own lore, Katya is very much in love with Goncharov but is also tempted by Sofia. To Katya, Goncharov and Sofia also represent two very different ways of living. Goncho is a smuggler but an honest one and Sofia works for her boss Andrey’s crime ring. Being with Goncharov means living a dangerous life on the run but somewhere down the line there is a possibility of settling down and living life through honest means. Being with Sofia means choosing a simpler, cushier life, a life of luxury but it also means being forever part of the crime world. Who will she choose? I don’t know and neither does Katya :)

Also, I’m toying with the idea of Katya being married to Goncho (simply becasue I tagged her as Katya Goncharova a couple of times lol) but I don’t know yet :))

Info about Mario and Ice Pick Joe:

Mario and Ice Pick Joe grew up together in Sicily and were both very poor. They are not related but share somewhat of a brotherly bond. Joe’s darker side started to show from a very early age. He loved to kill and dissect small animals which sometimes freaked up Mario (although he never judged him for his impulses). Joe also talked about joining mafia from an early age, it seemed like a natural thing to do. He never imagined himself as anything else than a criminal. Mario is academically very smart. Joe often said to him that someone this smart could go study and make something of himself through honest job. But Mario was a very cynical person from an early age and thought that the only way people like them can escape poverty is through dishonest means. Also, Joe is just a joy to be around (if you’re not the animal or a person he’s dissecting), he’s funny, great cook, loves music, unassuming but charismatic. And it’s not just a front, he really is like that, he has two sides, one of them is very dark. Mario, as smart as he is, lacks the charisma and is aware of that. He is brooding and sulking and cynical. Lacks the social capital ... and friends (except for Joe of course). He also likes to go to casinos and gamble, not because he needs the money, but he likes winning and he likes the fact that other people’s social status can’t help them there. He’d never admit this to you but he secretly wants friends and wants to be liked but he is just so goddamn unlikable to the majority of people that no amount of wealth can help him with that. Mario was also always ashamed of his humble origin. When the two of them joined the crime world, they joined Andrey’s crime ring. Joe is very loyal to Andrey because he sees him as someone who gave him a chance and saved him from poverty. Joe became Andrey’s best hitman and is free to act on his darkest impulses. Mario became Andrey’s accountant, handling money. But unlike Joe, Mario resents Andrey because Andrey is a big classist and often and not so subtly lets Mario know that he would be nothing without him. In the story, Mario befriends Goncharov (the met in a casino) and will have to decide whether he betrays his boss or not. And will he be able to convince his best friend Joe to work against a man he is very loyal to?

The Naples side of my story is probably my most developed part as of now. I still don’t have everything figured out.

How Ice Pick Joe got his nickname:

Ice Pick Joe's favorite weapon of choice actually isn't an ice pick, despite many people assuming that's the case. He doesn't have a favorite weapon or a torture method. He likes them all. His nickname refers to one specific event that took place shortly after after he joined Andrey's crime ring. One of Andrey's highest ranking lieutenants was suspected of stealing money and giving up information to a rival crime lord. He was subjected to many hours of interogation and torture but still he would not confess. Then Joe asked to try. The only thing he took to the room with him was in ice pick. Nobody really knows what happened in there but it took less than 15 minutes for the lieutenant to confess how much he stole and what information he gave up. Andrey then used this information and destroyed the rival crime lord. This event prompted Joe Morelli to gain an immense amount of respect within the crime ring and ever since that day everyone called him Ice Pick Joe.

Info about Katya and her brother Valery:

Katya and her older brother Valery were born in Moscow but moved to Moldova after Katya's birth. Their moldavian mother died during Katya's birth and their russian father was very abusive but mostly absent. Valery is 20 years older than Katya and he basically raised her on his own. Valery became a high ranking officer in the militsiya (soviet police) at quite an early age, mostly due to his efficiency. He soon became disillusioned by the brutal soviet regime and defected to the USA, searching for a better life for him and Katya. He became a weapon smuggler and that's how he and Katya met Goncharov. Valery and Goncharov fell out during an event where Valery thought Goncharov had betayed him after a heist gone wrong (he didn't betray him, it was misunderstanding). He also hates Goncharov because Katya fell in love with him and choose to leave with him.

Horizon Ask Game

Thanks for tagging me @meg-noel-art

1.) ride or die ship (your otp): Aloy/Petra. I'm sorry but I love both of these characters and the chemistry the two of them have together. In the first game these two are only ones who mutually flirt with each other. Also I love that Aloy's actress Ashly Burch said that she thought Aloy and Petra were the only couple that makes sense.

2.) most annoying ship: Probably Aloy/Avad. I like both characters as friends but I don't see them in a relationship. Also most of the interactions between the two involve Avad getting rebuffed by Aloy.

3.) second favorite ship: Aloy/Talanah. Not my main ship but I can definitely see it happening.

4.) favorite platonic relationship: Erend/Aloy. I know a lot of my friends on here love this as their OTP but I see them more as siblings. They have a lovely brother/sister relationship that both of them need.

5.) underrated ship: I don't know if they would actually be in a relationship or just be really good friends but I love the idea of Aluki and Nakoa spending a lot of time together.

6.) overrated ship: Again with Aloy/Avad. Sorry it's just not there for me. If you enjoy it though then I fully support you.

7.) One thing I would change in canon: I can't pick one thing. Don't kill Varl, have Regalla be the main villain in HFW, and the Zeniths be the main villain in the third game instead of Nemesis.

8.) something canon did right: Beta. Seriously she's a fantastic addition.

9.) A thing I’m proud of creating for the fandom: I have a number of WIP pieces. Hopefully I get one ready enough to post.

10.) A character who is perfect to me (wouldn’t change a thing): Petra Forgewoman. She is literally the best and her face model is also here on tumblr. They're New Hologram and I love their videos. @newhologram if you want to check them out!

11.) The character I relate to the most and why: Personality wise it would be Teb. They're just always ready to help their friends even then they're in crippling pain.

12.) Character(-s) I hate the most and why: Drakka and Yarra from HFW and Resh from HZD. I was hoping that Resh might apologize or learn something or have chracter development. Drakka and Yarra's questline was one of the most developed but, like most of the side quests in HFW, amounted to nothing and both sides were unlikable.

13.) something I’ve learned from the fandom: How many good friends I have made by talking to folks.

if you mean the x reader stuff, i've seen the og post and anything my mutuals have reblogged, although i saw it pretty late (relatively) because i only found it last night before i went to bed.

(if you didn't mean that i'm so sorry lol because this post is really long)

idk i have thoughts here and i'm sure people have already articulated things better than i could, but there's two separate points the post is talking about—how a reader character is described looks wise (+ gender), and then everything else that makes up them up, ie personality, backstory, skills. there was also something about a mary sue, i think, about how most readers have not been trained as super soldiers or aren't celebrities and so they become hard to relate to.

so! here is things i think factor in for people when deciding whether a chracter is a reader or an oc. feel free to disagree, these are my thoughts and how i classify them. i'm gonna try to avoid saying "imo" this whole thing is my opinion lol.

1. giving the reader a name

i've seen both sides of this now. some people are completely taken out of a story seeing y/n or f/n or just ____ while reading, and others (like me) are taken out when they see a name that the author has assigned. authors can also do a range of things when it comes to name, and there's a difference between, say, the story starts with the reader meeting the character while eating a cookie and so he calls them cookie the whole time (any pet name, sweetheart or darling or whatever is in this catgeory as well) versus the character just being named avery.

the former is much easier to read for me because, y'know, that could still be me, someone could call me cookie if they saw me eating a cookie (sidenote if anyone called me cookie i would jump off a cliff) but my name's just not avery in any way shape or form so it suddenly becomes really hard to self insert (and reminder that the entire appeal of x reader fanfics for most people is to imagine they're the one in the story).

both things are valid! now that enough people have expressed their fondness and disdain for both, they clearly have their merits to different readers and it is completely up to someone which they prefer. anyone making complaints about either (usually the name crowd talking about how much they hate y/n from what i've seen) or anyone who says "y/n isn't me" or "katie isn't me" is just not reading fics that make them happy. in a subgenre all about making yourself happy and being self indulgent, you're letting yourself be taken out of a story by something that will keep other people very invested in it.

have your preferences. indulge in them. surround yourself by them!

SO. a reader being named does not make them an oc (and while i don't think people need to tag it, it would be nice if they did) until we get to the second point.

2. first person vs second person vs third person—and POV!

first person gets a lot of bad rep in fanfic, even when it's NOT an x reader fic. why is that? aside from how it's associated with wattpad one direction stories ("i woke up and threw my hair into a messy bun"), reading first person to many many people feels like reading out of someone's diary. even if it's from the reader's point of view, there's a disconnect that's there that simply does not let people self insert because it reads too much like the self insertion is meant for the author only. and because of the aforementioned connotation people have with it, it comes off as childish or cringy.

STILL. first person does not an oc make (didn't expect the wiseness here didya). i feel bad because first person takes me out of a story too and there are definitely more than several first person stories that aren't childish or cringy at all, BUT here's where i think the first and second point start to meet.

first person pov with f/n—still an x reader fanfic. first person pov with a named character—oc.

the same goes for third person. i've written third person reader and though i tried to avoid saying the reader's name at all (it becomes exceptionally awkward in third person), i did still use f/n everytime it came up.

second person pov is the only one that works with a named character and is still an x reader fanfic.

excuse me! someone calls out. what if i write from the character's point of view and not the reader's?

i'm so glad you asked! pretty much the same rules apply. this is when we get into how second person can be used without us seeing the reader's thoughts, and fanfic authors do it all the time. "he wanted to kiss you so bad, he thought of nothing but your lips the whole week" and "'i want to kiss gilda so bad,' he groaned, thinking of you" work, while in the same vein "i wanted to kiss ashley so bad" or "he wanted to kiss martha so bad" doesn't work.

the character's pov is easier to write in some ways because:

3. reader's personality

there is much much MUCH less to worry about when writing from the character's POV now that you don't have to write the reader's thoughts. (third person omniscient writers, y'all are so brave.) of course that's why smaller headcanon or sexy posts are easier to write (which doesn't make them any less enjoyable or valid), it's because they center on the character and how they would act while having very little to do with the reader. they do well on tumblr because tumblr favors shorter posts that are easy to consume, not because they're particularly better. if you ask people what their favorite reader fic is, most will give you a fic in which the reader most certainly has a personality.

it is highkey impossible to write a fullfledged story without giving the reader a personality, even if you write from the character's POV, which no one should feel obligated to anyways. everyone has already said this, but yeah, it is also impossible to create a character that will relate to anyone.

but do they have to be super competent or kickass or the biggest flirt or a ninja warrior gymnast superhero?

uh, yeah, they kinda do. here's where the hard truth comes in—these fics are meant for readers to self insert, but they're primarily meant for the authors of those fics to self insert into. you might not want to read a story in which everyone and their mothers think you're the greatest thing since sliced bread, but escapism is different for everyone. if someone following the pov and name rules i mentioned above, their reader could have all the personality in the world, coupled with a tragic backstory and a career that would put barbie to shame, and it would still be a reader fanfic, and "personality" does not need to be tagged. it would be extremely goofy if it was.

(although, a lot of fandoms DO tag features their reader has in case you want to block them out on ao3—think mha with their "reader has a quirk" tag.)

and finally, the most hot topic issue.

4. giving reader a set look/reader's gender identity and pronouns

yes. "your pale skin" takes me out. "your slim waist" takes me out. "your blue eyes" takes me out. pronouns that aren't mine take me out. any descriptor that wouldn't apply to me takes me completely out of a reader fic. unlike personality, it's not impossible to write a story without putting physical traits on a reader.

....that's not to say it's not hard, though. i hope people recognize that. if you're writing other characters interacting, flirting, kissing, or having sex with your reader, there's going to be at least some instances where "she looks up at you" just has a different effect than "she looks at you" and you don't wanna not include people who are shorter than the character and sometimes you have to sacrifice the picture you're trying to paint for inclusivity or vice versa. many authors are picturing either themselves or an oc in their heads as they write, and it's extremely difficult to check yourself after every sentence to ensure that absolutely no physical description is present.

(in a much smaller picture before i go on, i'd like to specifically mention the word "blush" because people bring it up a lot. unpopular opinion, but i really don't see a problem with the word, mostly because i think despite its dictionary definition, blushing is not limited to cheeks being red, it's synonymous with blood rushing to your cheeks, which can happen to anyone. my skin tone is dark enough that people can't tell if i blush, but i do blush regardless, just, y'know, discreetly. it becomes something else if the narration or a character points out a reader's cheeks are red, but otherwise i really think anyone can blush. if people want to avoid it as i mostly do to just not ruffle feathers, i usually stick with "you feel your cheeks heating up" and that has about the same effect.)

so, yeah, it's difficult. it's also not wrong—and i don't think it creates an oc. people can write a reader that looks like them and have it still be self insertable to other people or even have their works read by people who don't mind physical descriptions when reading x reader fics.

obviously there is an issue with how poc are treated in fandom and representation in general with the lack of dark-skinned readers and male readers, which is, as pointed out by others, because there are simply more white female authors. so what's the solution, so as to not alienate poc or ppl with pronouns that aren't she/her who are reading fics that contain afab she/her readers or descriptors?

(ik that's wordy, shh, i'm tired.)

tagging! everyone cries simultaneously. tag your stuff!

yeah, pretty much, exceeeeept. it's one thing for people to tag their fics with black!reader or afab!reader or variations of those, and it's an entirely different thing to say white!reader. you know why you don't see that? because it would leave the same bad taste in people's mouths if, say, netflix had a category about white empowerment. with basic historical and social context, it's not a great idea.

the better idea is probably to tag something like "Reader Has A Physical Description" or something along the lines that someone else could word better than me. then either in the tags or in the author's note (in the beginning) mention the types of descriptors, i.e. "reader will be described as having pale skin." that's it! go ahead and make the reader pale to your heart's content. pale readers and people who don't care will be able to read and others who hopefully make the effort to read the tags (always read the tags!) will just scroll and find a fic they like more. on the opposite side, "Reader Has No Physical Description" could also work as a tag to assure people that your reader will not have their physical traits described. that covers skin color, eye color, hair length and texture, height, etc.

and if something does not exist for you, if you want more amab readers with they/them pronouns or if you're like me and you're south asian and want a reader that jams out to bollywood music then you're always, always free to write one of your own or request from authors who allow it. as most poc readers know, having someone who is of the same race or ethnicity as you write something with their experience clearly woven into the story can be very personal, as it is for them to write.

so! tldr: pov matters a lot when determining oc or reader, and names, personality and looks less so, but everything is about what shapes your experience and preference. tags are important, as is keeping in mind that x reader fics are meant for self insertion both for the author and the reader. write what you want, but let's be conscious of alienating people who are already lacking representation in fandom. happy reading, happy writing, hope those characters love you like you deserve!

Just for tonight (Starscream/reader pt 3)

Summary: After a harsh beating from Megatron, Starscream seeks solace in the only place he can think of. And you of course, welcome him.

Chracters: Starscream/You (Miko and Bulkhead make a special appearance)

Tags: Hurt/comfort, fluff, angst, TW for abuse and just Megatron in general cause fuck that guy, no smut but it is refrenced, mutual pining, someone get Starscream some help for the love of god.

Sunlight dipped into your room, you groaned and rolled over. It was your day off, you only planned on getting up when you felt like it. Or if you had to pee before your bladder bursts, whichever came first.

Three short beeps of a horn make you jolt under your covers, you huff and drag the blankets over your head. People and their shitty driving would be something that irked you till the day you died… Wait, you live pretty far out. Why would someone be honking right outside, unless…

"Y/N!!!!! WAKE UP, IT'S ROCK AND ROLL TIME!" You groan even louder into your pillow as your front door gets assaulted by Miko’s fists. "GO AWAY I'M NOT HOME!" You scream back at her, and she goes silent. You pause and raise your head. There's no way that actually worked, right?

"BOO!"

"AH!" You vault your body onto the floor with a grunt. Miko starts to laugh maniacally outside your window. You wince as you move your stiff body up off the floor, you make your way over to the window, ripping open the blinds and unlatching your window lock.

Miko stops laughing as you yank her through the window. "Ow! Geez sorry, someone isn't a morning person." She mumbles. You roll your eyes and make your way over to your dresser to scour for an outfit. "No, especially on my day off." She scoffs and flops onto your bed. "You can't just sleep the day away! It's almost noon!"

You chuckle and turn back to her, outfit in hand. "You see Miko, the point of my day off means I can spend it however the hell I want. Besides, I already hung out with you guys yesterday."

Miko jumps up and latches onto your arm, putting on her best pair of puppy eyes. "Pleaseeeee Y/n! We love hanging out with you!" You chuckle and raise a brow. "I'm an adult, shouldn't hanging around me be a buzzkill?" She laughs and shakes her head rapidly, making her pigtails flop around. "Pfft what? So what if you're an adult, you don't act like it! Plus Jack is more of a buzzkill than you."

You laugh loudly and push her out of your room. "Alright, you've convinced me. Now get out so I can change."

You shut your door and quickly get ready. After a couple minutes you head out of your room to find Miko staring at your counter. Your stomach drops as you realize she's staring at the missing chunk in your counter.

"What happened here?" She asks, glancing up at you curiously. "Oh uh…"

FUCK! You completely forgot about your poor bar that got wrecked along with you last week.

"Oh right, yeah a friend and I were uh… Doing a project, and it uh— kinda got out of hand…" You ramble as you avidly search for shoes so you both can leave quickly and drop the conversation. "A friend huh? Which one?" Miko starts to get a wicked grin on her face.

"A friend from work." You say, a bit too quickly for Miko’s liking. "Oh yeah?"

"Mmhm, yup, yup, alright let's go!" You flash a nervous grin and gesture to the door. Miko stands with her hands on her hips, giving you a disapproving look. "I thought we were best friends Y/n?"

"We are–"

"Then why didn't you tell me you hooked up with someone?!"

You let out a squeak while waving your arms around in a desperate attempt to sway her. "Whoa! Haha, where'd you get that idea?!" She scoffed and crossed her arms. "Um hello? You're like– totally blushing!... Did yall get freaky?”

You nearly screamed, you did not want to have this conversation with a teenage girl. Especially this one, who would embarrass the hell out of you for it. “I’m leaving without you!” You shouted and ran out of your house.

Bulkhead swung open the driver door as you sprinted to his vehicle mode. Miko was yelling as she ran out of your house, the passenger side opened for her as well and she climbed it. Bulkhead started driving and broke the silence. "Whoa, where's the fire?" His amused voice comes through the radio.

Miko huffs and slouches in her seat, shooting you a frown. "Y/n won't tell me about their new partner!" You roll your eyes and cross your arms, staring out onto the road. Bulkhead sighs. "Miko… If Y/n wants to talk about their relationship then they will, stuff like that is private sometimes."

The teenager groans and sits up straighter. "Fine, but I hope you'll tell me about it soon!" You laugh and reach over, ruffling her pigtails fondly. "Sure Miko, I'm just figuring things out right now ya know?"

She nods and starts to laugh. "I understand, maybe it's a good thing you're keeping it private right now. We wouldn't want Starscream to find out would we?" You choke on air, a coughing fit starting up in your chest. Miko cackles loudly and Bulkhead groans in disgust. "Ugh Miko gross…"

Right, how could you forget? Let's rewind for a second. Now, it didn't go unnoticed by team prime that Starscream had a certain… Fixation on you. Whenever the cons got involved with whatever the bots were doing Starscream always seemed to make it his mission to capture you, or at the very least rile you up.

Most everyone didn't think anything of it, even you. Just chalked it up to Starscream hating how snarky you were with him. The flirts you would shoot at him were typically done out of range from the bots or cons, you didn't want to be asked questions you didn't have the answers too.

Most everyone didn't think anything of it… Except Miko.

See, she had this wild conspiracy theory that Starscream was secretly in love with you and that the reason he always tried to capture you was so he could have you all to himself… Hilarious right? You thought so, at least, you used to. Now? You don't know what the hell to believe.

"Oh come on Bulk, Screamers would be so jealous if he found out that Y/n was dating someone." Miko says. "Look, Starscream's not the type to care about anyone but himself. Especially about a human, no offense. But I think it's safe to say that he's not capable of any kind of affection."

Miko and Bulkhead start to bicker back and forth about Starscream and you. Bulkhead may have a point. Starscream is loyal to himself, you're not sure if he is capable of affection but you sure as hell know he's capable of turning the inside of your pants into a slip and slide. Your face burns at the thought and you do your best to tune out their conversation the rest of the drive to base.

Starscream walked throughout the dreary halls of the Nemesis, his posture stiff. This past week had been absolute torture. You constantly plagued his thoughts, all day, all night. Even in recharge he can't escape you. He's been on edge constantly and everyone on the Nemesis was starting to notice. The worst part was that he had also begun to slack in his work. He'd be spacing out more, snapping at anyone who'd point it out. More errors in coding and other data entries, even taking more time than usual out on protrols.

Unfortunately for him, Megatron especially had begun to notice his second in command's change of behavior.

Starscream folded his servos behind his back nervously, pausing in front of the door to the bridge. Megatron had requested his presence a few moments ago, and he had a horrible feeling that he knew what it was about.

The doors slid open and he made his way onto the bridge. The room was mostly empty, only a couple of Vehicons were posted at their station, and of course, Megatron. Starscream made his way towards his leader, every step in his pedes felt like lead. Megatron was facing away from him.

"Starscream." He spoke, voice eerily calm.

"Lord Megatron." Starscream replied.

"Do you know why I called you here?" Megatron asked.

Starscream paused. Either he had found out about Starscream's little escapade with you, or he was here to reprimand him about his slacking lately. A small part of him hoped it was something completely different, but the underlying malice in his voice told him that there was no painless way out of this.

"No my liege… I do not." He uttered. Megatron instantly picked up on his reluctance. The tall mech slowly turned around, glaring down at his second in command. “I don’t like liars Starscream. You know perfectly well why you're here. Correct?” Megatron started to circle Starscream as he spoke. The shorter mech felt his knees tremble. “I don’t tolerate slackers. You should know that better than anyone. It’s bad enough my second in command is a spineless fool who constantly plots behind my back, but I don’t need one who does poor work as well.”

“I’m sorry my–” Starscream grunted in pain as Megatron struck him across the face, the force of the blow making him crumple to the ground. “The only reason you’re still here is because you’re of better use to me here than anywhere else.” Megatron sent a kick to his side. Starcream jolted to the side, landing painfully on his wings. “Don’t make me regret it, Starscream. I’ll dispose of you myself if you stop serving a purpose to me.”

Starscream shakily tried to get to his knees but Megatron grabbed his wings and threw him to the side, eliciting a sharp yelp from the seeker. Despite the throb of pain running through Starscream, he couldn’t help the rush of relief that coursed through him as well.

Megatron didn’t know about you.

You waved goodbye to Miko and Bulkhead from the top step of your house. The two drove away, blasting heavy metal. You chuckled and headed into your dark home. A yawn escaped your mouth as you flicked on the light of your living room, you set down your things on a chair and stretched. You had an eventful day at the base, Wheeljack was back on Earth visiting, so naturally the day was filled with fun and chaos.

Before you could head into your bedroom a familiar sound of an engine stopped you. Your heart instantly started to beat faster, you hadn’t seen Starscream in a week. You wait for him to burst through your back door but you hear shuffling and muttering instead. Slowly you make your way to the back door, creaking it open you see Starscream there in his smaller form clutching his side. Instantly you notice the dents and scratches littering his form. The grimace of pain in his face was enough to snap you out of your shocked stare. “Christ— What happened to you?” You swing the door open fully enough for him to come in. A hiss of pain leaves his mouth as he limps through the short doorway. “Who do you think?” He grunts out.

You shut the door and watch him limp further into the house. You chew your lip in thought, you could say the autobots but considering you were with them all day the only logical explanation was…

“Megatron…?” You inquired dolefully. Starscream said nothing as he looked to the floor, his back was to you, letting you get a clear view of his wings. They weren’t horrible wounds, he would clearly live; but the light blue energon leaking from a gash in his wing made your gut heavy in discomfort. “You’re leaking…” You mumble. Starscream continues to stare at the floor, refusing to look back at you.

You may not have the right tools to patch him up, but you could at least ease some problems. Slowly you walk over to him, moving carefully into his line of sight. The situation as a whole is bizarre, the enemy faction of your friends is here in your house injured, and while he may not be asking for help directly the look in his optics tells you everything you need.

You reach your hand forward, gently wrapping your hand around his servo, silently noting how cold he was compared to the last time you touched him. His optics dart to your smaller hand, before looking at you directly. A soft smile makes your way onto your lips. “Come with me?”

Starscream raises a brow before nodding slowly. You smile, and lead him towards your bedroom. You slowly open your door and flip on the light, you lead Starscream to your bed, gently making him sit on the edge. “Wait here, I’m going to grab some stuff.”

“Alright.” He mumbles.

You turn and walk into your bathroom, mentally going through the possible supplies you have that would be beneficial. You doubt anything antiseptic would work on him, and obviously you don’t have any welding gear, or whatever they use to mend wounds. That leaves cleaning and wrapping up injuries temporarily. So, you grab some rags.

When you come back Starscream is looking around your room from his spot on the bed. You don’t think you can get used to the tall Decepticon sitting on your bed so casually. He turns back to you and notices the stuff in your hands. “What’s that?” He asks.

“Just some rags, do you mind if I clean you up and tie off any leaks?” Starscream seems confused, before looking down at himself. “I don’t understand, am I leaking that badly? I apologize if I got energon on your things…” Your throat tightened at his words. Truly, you don’t think you’ve heard an apology come from his mouth before, let alone the absolute defeat in his voice.

You instantly moved towards him. “No, no it’s not that. Don’t worry about any messes okay? I just want to help, I may not be able to do much for you medically… But I just–” Your breath hitches as you meet his stare. He looks so broken. You briefly wonder if anyone has ever done anything for him out of the kindness in their heart. You raise a hand to his face out of instinct to comfort, but he flinches away.

Your heart shattered.

He must have seen the shock in your face, for he turned away from you in shame. You swallowed the lump in your throat, crying wouldn’t help either of you right now. So you continued to reach your hand out, slower this time. Your hand met the side of his faceplate, you gently turned his helm towards you. His optics seemed duller than before as he looked at you. You raise your other hand, the rag you had wet earlier in your grasp. With utmost care you wiped a scuff that was on the lower left side of his face.

“I don’t know your situation on the Nemesis… I know Megatron is far from being a gracious and forgiving leader, and in all honesty he doesn’t deserve the crew or position he has now…” You speak as you continue to wipe up his various scratches, his optics never leaving your face. You can feel your heart racing in your chest, yet you continue to speak tenderly. “But I want you to know that my door is always open. Whenever you need to get away from it, or if you want company, you need to vent, get cleaned up. Whatever it may be, day or night, whether I’m here or not, I will still be here for you. Okay?” You finish wiping his face.

Starscream has a look you’ve never seen before on him, then again, you haven't seen him like this ever. It hurts you to think he’s been suffering silently and alone from Megatron's wrath all this time. Starscream doesn’t know what to say, no one ever has extended such generosity and kindness to him before. At least without some sort of catch to it. So he says the only thing that comes to mind.

“Why?”

The question shook you. One word, and yet it raised so many questions inside you. Why were you doing this? Setting aside the fact that you were ‘enemies’ , Starscream wasn’t exactly the friendliest around. That, and most times you’ve interacted it was threats, bantering, or flirting borderlining taunting. Only recently did things change, clearly you skipped some steps when it comes to… whatever relationship you have with him. What relationship did you have with him exactly? You’re not really hostile anymore, friends is a loose term that doesn’t quite fit. Partner isn’t the right word, neither is lover. Fuck buddy isn’t to far off, yet would just a plain old hook up care this much about the other person? So it all loops back to the original question. Why do you care?

“I don’t know… I just do… Why did you come here instead of your medical bay?”

Starscream blinks in shock, his expression befuddled. Another moment passed, both of you just staring at each other. Finally, he speaks once more.

“I don’t know… I just did.”

A small smile grew on your lips at his words, his face softened ever so slightly. “Well then… Since we obviously have no idea what we’re doing, can I finish what I started?” He nodded.

You grinned brightly and started to get back to work, cleaning any smudges or energon leaks. Starscream watched you with a soft expression, admiring you and how you worked. He had no idea how to express to you that there was no possible way you could finish what you started, not when it came to how you made him feel. Starscream was terrified of what you did to him, more so what could happen to you or him if anyone else found out what was going on.

He watched you wrap a long cloth around his thigh, you tied it off, pausing and glancing up at him concerned. “That doesn’t hurt right?” He shakes his head, and you nod before reaching for another cloth to tie off a gash on his arm. You worked silently, briefly stopping here and there to ask permission or to check in on how he was doing. Once you were done, he honestly looked a lot better. You stood in front of him, hands resting proudly on your hips as you grinned. “All done! How do you feel?”

Starscream glanced down at himself, obviously the dents and such were still there, but surface wise you did an amazing job. “I feel better… Thank you.” The words felt forigen, but the way your face lit up was all he needed to forget the oddity of pleasantries.

For a moment, you both were staring at eachother again. The tension creeped back into the room, increasingly becoming difficult to ignore. Before you impulsively smashed your face against his you cleared your throat and gathered the used rags and brought them back into your bathroom. Starsceam watched you the entire time.

You came back into the bedroom, shutting the door behind you. “So um… Do you have to go back soon?” You asked, slightly hoping his answer would be no.

“Probably… But I don’t exactly want to go back.” Starscream rested his arms on his legs, leaning forward in thought. You frowned and shifted your weight between your legs. “Do they need you back for something?” He shook his helm, running his optics over a few objects on your wall. “No, not exactly. My shift was nearly over when I left anyway.”

You ran your eyes over him, his body language seemed uncomfortable. If his words weren’t enough you could clearly tell that he dreaded going back right now. Before you could stop yourself, the words slipped. “Then stay.”

Starscream froze, and slowly turned towards you. “...What?”

Your mouth felt dry, you wanted to avert your eyes from his intense stare but you couldn’t seem to pry your eyes away from his. “Stay… Just for tonight.”

Logically, you shouldn’t have offered. Then again, if you want to go by those rules you should have stopped what you were doing a long time ago. Starscream was having a similar thought. He already has let you do this for him, he was already here. The looming threat over both of your heads was already there, one night wouldn’t lessen or greaten the affects.

“Alright… Just for tonight then.”

Self Esteem and Disability

I'd like to make a more general post about this in light of a request I just received. Anon, I know your intentions are probably not bad, but there's been an ongoing trend of writing Viktor hating himself, and I have made other posts about it, but I'd like to make my stance very clear.

I will not write Viktor with self-esteem issues, and I don't think anyone else should, either.

If you are a disabled person with self-esteem issues you are of course exempt from this post and can represent yourself as you see fit. However, i'd like to speak from the stance of someone who uses a mobility aid myself.

We live in an intensely ableist society. The standard of beauty is physical health, physical wellness, and yet Viktor has taken root in this fandom as one of its most beloved characters. This is partially because he's physically attractive. And that matters. It matters that we treat disabled people as desirable in the face of a society that tells us that we aren't. It matters that we acknowledge our attraction to disabled people and don't try to rationalize it. He's hot, his disability is a part of him, and so it can be attractive, too.

And along the same thread that we can acknowledge that Viktor is attractive, objectively, Viktor owns a mirror. Viktor is capable of seeing himself and being able to acknowledge that other people see him. Sky, in universe, is into him. We know he's attractive even by Piltovian standards. But even if he wasn't, it is not good for the mental health of disabled people to be told in writing that we should think that we're ugly because we're disabled. That we should consider ourselves less desirable because we're disabled. That we need to be reassured by other people that we're attractive. The line "No one believed in me, a poor cripple from the undercity" is a representation of how society sees him, not how Viktor sees himself. Viktor has had to believe in himself when no one else did. He's self assured in his actions and in himself, and there isn't any indication he thinks he's unattractive.

I am not interested in representing his self esteem that way, I don't think abled people should be writing it, and I won't be writing it myself because i am also not willing to look at myself in a mirror and say these things about myself, as a physically disabled and chronically ill person.

With the finale tomorrow and everything I want to be REALLY clear about something -

The finale is basically going to be where we find out if Adam gets a redemption arch or if he goes fully into being a piece of shit for the rest of his existence, and with that there’s probably going to be a lot of tension in the fandom. The fandom drama around Adam is the #1 reason that I choose NOT to participate in the SK8 fandom outside of the small rpc here on tumblr because FANDOM DRAMA IS LITERALLY THE STUPIDEST THING EVER and I don’t have the time or emotional energy to get caught up in it. I’m here to have fun and relax, and I’m not going to let drama get in the way of that.

SO - if you’re someone who’s going to attack people about what happens to Adam in the finale, whether that’s you being pro Adam or anti Adam, take some time to click that unfollow and block button.

I have no patience for people who take the acts of FICTIONAL CHRACTERS as reasons to attack REAL PEOPLE. It’s stupid. It’s pointless. It ruins the fun I’m trying to have on my blog where I go to relax.

Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions and takes on fictional characters BECAUSE THEY’RE FICTIONAL AND THEY DON’T FUCKING MATTER!!

Whether you’re for Adam or against him, I really giveth not a single fucketh - what I care about is you being a mature human being who understands that every single person is going to see the same character differently, and because of that you don’t shame or attack people for their opinions. If you dislike someone’s take to the point that it’s upsetting you enough to feel the need to attack them - unfollow them or blacklist tags, it’s literally as simple as that. Your online safety/comfort is directly in your own hands, not the hands of a stranger online trying to role play anime characters like... c’mon man.

THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT ANYTHING THAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED AND I AM NOT VAGUE BLOGGING SO IF YOU’RE READING THIS THINKING “OH SHIT IS THIS ABOUT ME” IT ISN’T! Honestly the rpc has seemed super chill so far. I just wanted to put this post into the universe because I have a feeling that with the show ending, new blogs are going to start popping up and I’d rather start off with people understanding my point of view on this.

And if you’re reading this post and thinking “nah I don’t vibe with this” hey that’s fine my guy! Please soft/hard block me because I don’t want to get in the way of your online experience (hence me making this post), but I just don’t have time for that kinda energy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Summary: Nightmare comes home after a wonderful day spent in Dream’s clothes.

Nightmare walks back from the village, a tiny smile appearing on his face, shaking himself a little. It was amazing that somehow, the little trick that Dream had come up with seemed to have worked so well. He had tentatively told the other that sometimes the villagers could be mean to him when he was by himself, no matter how nice he tried to be to them... So Dream had proposed that the two of them switch clothes for the day, to see if they would be mean to dream, if he looked like Nightmare... And considering the fact that the two of them had opposing auras, the idea of that working had been really silly at the time...But the temptation to actually able to go into the village and pick out as many books as he wanted without Dream at his side or having to dodge nasty questions and dark looks from the village librarian had proved too much for the young guardian to resist.

Dream had promised to stay at the tree today and guard it while he went out and got books. Nightmare had also promised to help some of the villagers, should they ask him for assistance. He hadn't thought that they would ask him for his help - unless it was to go away forever and not steal away Dream's attention from them. But... The villagers had greeted him with warmth and openness - they were happy to see him for once - and the baker had given him his favorite pastries for free - insisting that he do so, as he had helped the other bring in several huge sacks of flour.

Some of the fruit sellers had been having difficulties with rats getting into their wares, so Nightmare had woven a spell over their stalls, which should prevent the rats from getting into their food, and as that had proven true, he had been given some very tasty pears and peaches to eat. He saved a couple for Dream to try... And as word had spread that he could make a spell to keep rats and other vermin away from the stalls, the rest of the food selling shopkeepers had begged him for his help. Nightmare had been happy to help them purely for the way their eyes lit up in gratitude, and the praise that they gave him... It felt amazing.

If this was what it was like when Dream was able to help people... The young negative guardian understood why his positive counterpart liked being able to help them so much. Not only did he get the satisfaction of helping people, being thanked for it by other people was wonderful... He hummed happily as he made his way over to their tree, his arms full of books, inventory full of food that neither of them really needed, but enjoyed eating nevertheless, realizing with a bit of a blush that he was skipping on the way home... He felt a little bit silly for doing so, but he couldn't help the giddy grin on his face. They absolutely had to do this again sometime!

Dream... Wasn't sitting at the base of the tree, and nor could he clearly sense his other half. The smile faded on his face as he heard soft, hiccupping sound from the far side of the tree, the books tumbling from his arms as he rushed around the big tree, the dusk light dim, but his other half's pale golden eye lights shining in the darkness. He could see bruises on the other's arms and across his face, golden ichor long dried on his tunic. "Dream! What... What happened?"

Dream burst into tears and threw himself at Nightmare, burying his face into the other's chest "I-I-It w-was a-awful! A-About an hour after you were gone, s-several of the y-young vi-villagers showed up and s-started th-throwing rocks at me. They laughed a-and mo-mocked me wh-when I as-asked them to s-stop... C-Called me a d-demon and a pa-parasite! I... I ch-chased th-them off as one of them t-tried to reach the roots of the t-tree and th-their parents c-came back and a-attacked m-me... I... I had... I had to... They w-wouldn't stop..." Dream shakily gestured to the ground beneath Nightmare's feet, confusing the negative guardian. "N-No ma-matter what I t-tried to tell them... I had... I had to..."

Nightmare realized that he was standing on a pile of... Dust. He hadn't noticed at first, as he was focused on his injured other half. Oh no... He hadn't realized that Dream would experience a day like he usually experienced, while wearing his clothes... It was so obvious to the both of them that they were just changing clothes... Were the villagers really so blind? "I... Dream... it's... It's okay... We... We were made to protect the tree, and that means protecting each other and ourselves..."

"Do... D-Do the...Are the... Are the villagers m-mean to y-you like th-that a l-lot?" Dream stuttered tears continuing to fall from his face.

This stopped Nightmare dead in his tracks. He mentally scrambled ot figure out how he should answer that question - as the truth might break the other more... Especially as he'd been lying to him about where the injuries had been coming from, as the villagers had been getting meaner and more violent the longer they stayed to pester the two of them "I..."

"Ni...Nightmare? You... You can tell me... Tell me the truth... Please? You... I... You weren't clumsy before the villagers showed up. Not that clumsy..." Dream stuttered, sniffling a little bit as he presses into the negative spirit a little further, grateful to feel the other's familiar and safe pulse of magic beneath the shirt.

"I... They've never not stopped when I drew a weapon on them... I'm... Well... That's not... Quite true. But that was an older villager, and he was really smelly and slurred his words a lot. I think he might have been... Drinkin? I... Wh-what happened to the kid of the person who attacked you?" Nightmare asked, mentally scrambling. If someone had seen Dream dressed in his clothes kill someone... Things could get way worse really, really fast.

"Th-They att-attacked me too... What... What if the villagers realized that they went missing? What are we gonna do?" Dream asked, panicking a little. The first guardian had never allowed mortals to live so close to the tree... Dream hadn't understood why util today. They could be every bit as cruel and violent and mean as the memories had stated that they were.

"We're going to take the Dust and we're gonna bury it in the forest. That way they can't prove that they went missing here, alright? If the mortals push it, we'll remind them that they live around this tree at our sufferance, and if they don't like it, they can leave." Nightmare huffed, violet eye lights shining. All he had wanted was a day to find out what it was like to be in Dream's shoes... He hadn't realized that Dream would suffer so much... That the villagers were so blind as to who the two of them really were.

"O-Okay... S-Sounds good to me.... H-How was your day, Nighty? W-Were they... You... You're not hurt..." Dream stuttered, as the two of them gathered up the Dust from the two beings who had attacked him, using the underside of their flag to carry it all.

Nightmare thought about how to answer, then again went for the truth "I... I think they thought I was you... Like they thought you were me. They were all really nice to me... On the plus side, that means that we have food so that you can heal up. I was able to look at all the books that I wanted... It was... It was a really good day... I'm sorry, I idn't think that they would hurt you... It hough they'd realize we'd switched clothes and chase me out of the village, or demand that we switch back... Not... Not this..." He hadn't wanted Dream to suffer like he had. They walk side by side, the flag between them as they walk a good distance into the forest, out of sight of The Tree. Nightmare casts a spell to dig a two foot square hole that's ten feet deep. They carefully pour the Dust into the hole and once the flag has been shaken clean of Dust, they shove the dirt back on top, patting the newly turned over soil down as much as possible. The flag is still kind of dirty, so they walk a bit further into the forest, washing the flag so that it was clean.

Dream speaks a warming spell over their flag as it also dried the flag, The two of them walk hand in hand back to the tree, as true night fell. Dream spoke up after they reached the tree "They hurt you a lot... Do all of them, or only a few? Please... Please tell me the truth."

"I... Not every single one of them have gone after me, but a lot of them have." Nightmare admitted as he fidgeted with his hands "You seem to like the villagers a lot - and as they were really nice to me, I understand! such praise is really nice. It felt so strange coming from not you... But good... I wouldn't want to take that away from you."

"No! We're going to ask the village council to drive out all those who have gone after you like that - including the council members themselves who have hurt you, if some or most of them did! We have to protect one another, as well as the tree. I... I'm sorry I failed you. I should have been there. I should have realized that the mortals were hurting you. I'm not going to help any of them, should they refuse. And we'll chase all of them away if necessary." Dream hisses, shaking his head, a determined expresion appearing on his face. "I won't let this happen anymore."

"I... Dream..." Nightmare began, unsure as to what to do now. On one hand, the idea of being rid of those who hurt him sounds wonderful. But it could be difficult and dangerous to drive them away. "But... But what if they refuse?"

"Then we make them leave. We are the guardians of the tree... But just as important as that... We have to guard and protect each other from those who would cause the other harm... I... I failed you, and for that I am deeply sorry. I'll speak to them tomorrow, in my clothes? Or we could go together, and reveal to them what should have been a harmless little trick." Dream explains, his eye lights shining strangely. "And we'll see how they respond. Hopefully the ones who hurt you will leave peacefully... But if they do cause trouble..." He swallowed, and shuddered a little "I... We'll do what we must... Right?"

"I... Okay. If... If you're sure..." Nightmare murmured, hope flaring in his chest, despite the probably awful way that this is going to end. He'd try his best to make sure that any additional Dust created or blood spilled is by his hands, rather than Dream's... He doesn't want to see more of the warmth and gentleness in the other's eyes to fade. "Tomorrow morning, we'll confront them, and show them what they've done."

Dream nodded as the two of them sat down and leaned against the tree "Tomorrow morning we'll call for a village meeting and confront them on what they've done. I love you, Moonstone."

"And I love you too, Sunshine. I'll take first watch, you rest." Nightmare murmured, reaching out to gently stroke the other's cheek.

Dream leaned into his touch and nodded, and yawned tiredly "I... Okay... Wake me if trouble comes..."

"I will..." The negative guardian promises with a small smile, watching as the other fell asleep cuddled into him. Tomorrow would be... Interesting, but for tonight, he held Dream in close, watching for anyone who might try to take the apples (or Dream) from him.

Natsume yuujinchou (a teenage orphan who sees spirits/monsters sets out to free the spirits who were bound in magical contract by his grandmother after he inherits a powerful book, aided primarily by a spirit who appears as an exasperated fat cat (who is just as fun as he sounds). Titular character is like my Fave boy in the whole world, he’s so kind and soft despite all the hardships he’s faced, the series has very gentle pacing/character development, and each episode is a carefully crafted lil story that have often moved me to tears, chuckles, or outright chinhands of fondness as u watch natsume slowly find a home in the world and amongst the humans &spirits around him. big focus on friendships, there’s like no romance with any of the main characters, lots of cool different creatures (most of whom arent all that scary once u get to know them), its just literally everything i could ever dream for in a show and it exists! <3)

Leverage (team of modern day robin hoods ruin rich peoples’ lives via delightfully crafted spy cons to give back to the regular folks the rich people hurt. Extremely good, strong found family vibes, and v cathartic)

Brooklyn 99 (follows diverse cast of character who make up a NY precinct. Hilarious, immensely wholesome & groundbreaking, & probs the most lighthearted crime show besides like psych tbh)

Blackspot/Zone Blanche (spoopy french/belgium crime series set in a small village way out in the mountains surrounded by misty, mysterious and murdery woods. eerie and atmospheric, but also like one of my fave characters (everyone calls him teddy bear) keeps a pet guinea pig at work, so it’s not entirely grim and bleak)

Longmire (a modern western crime drama centering around the titular sheriff and others in their small town wyoming county, well written and lot of chracter development revealed alongside some really good case mysteries bc i love trying to figure out whodunits apparently based on a book series well adored by dads btw)

who is your favorite character in 2? (leverage) ahhh,,, this is hard... Eliot maybe? like Hardison is baby ofc, but i relate to elliot a ton (i think if i was on a team i would want to be the hitter tbh?) and love the subversion of so many action hero tropes that he is, also endlessly amused by how very put upon he is despite all his rad/random skills

who is your least favorite character in 1? (natsume yuujinchou) oh seiji matoba for sure, he can go eat a mouldy tree stump. absolutely evil nasty dude

what is your favorite episode of 4? (blackspot) the end of the road. great opening, didnt end up too devastating unlike a lot of the cases, Hermann was gr8, cool twist i hadnt super expected in the plot which was neat.

what is your favorite season of 5? (longmire) probs 1, walter reeally started to piss me off being Such A Man in later seasons, also me being extremely anxious about Henry and his life choices later, that creepy stalker storyline starting up with Someone and when Someone else in the main cast got died really suddenly and upsettingly later on as well, also when a weird relationship started between some of the characters that i really aint feeling so. before all that happened was nice (also sorry if this is super vague, im trying to avoid spoilers)

who is your favorite couple in 3? (B99) Besides Jake/Amy and Holt/Kevin (bc oviously theyre gr8) uh.. i know it was a long time ago and didnt last very long, but i thought rosa and marcus were really sweet? it brought another layer out to her character, even when they broke up that helped rosa starting to show emotional vulnerability and all, even tho it ended it was still just, idk, i liked them.

who is your favorite couple in 2? (leverage) Does trio count, cos Parker/Eliot/Harding 4 life yo

what is your favorite episode of 1? (natsume yujinchou) i have sooo many faves ahhh!!! i dont think i could pick just one on pain of death, every episode is acrefully cosntructed gem all on its own and i have too many that i love and adore to pick jsut one :((

what is your favorite episode of 5? (longmire) Dog soldier!! ive rewatched that one a ton, so so many good bits, really satisfying resolution of the case despite the shitty system that was revealed, and i rmr getting chills by the end the first time i saw it.

what is your favorite season of 2? (leverage) i guess season 1? just, idk, everything being set up and watching all these grumpies/less grumpies who have no plans to stay together start working together as a baby team, and just the joy of seeing their first heist together with the first plot twist, just.. such a delight, but all seasons that ive seen so far were all excellent, it’s a stellar show

how long have you watched 1? (natsume yujinchou) oh idk exactly, like years and years man... defs the longest out of all on this list

how did you become interested in 3? (b99) i think it was just on netflix way back in season 1 and i started watching it, loved it and never stopped? i think that might have even been before it got rlly popular lol

who is your favorite actor in 4? (blackspot) i dont rlly know any of these french peeps? but teddybear’s one of my fave characters, so hopefully the person who plays him is also cool, in which case hubert delattre (if not, Suliane Brahim does a v good job as the lead)

which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? (natsume yujinchou, leverage or longmire) um... real torn between natsume and leverage here, they’re both such lovely gems that do found family so, so well.. leverage is a team of modern robin hood-esque spies with brilliant writing and exciting heists and multiple delightful plot twists every episode and great character building and so much catharticism in ruining evil rich peoples lives.

but natsume’s title character is one of my very favorite characters ever, hes been through so much but he becomes the most kindest and thoughtful boy ever, and its so, so soft and gentle in its development of characters and their slow build of getting to know each other and becoming friends, and the interactions with the paranormal world are very rarely entirely malicious/scary, and there’s pretty well no romance, at least like no romance for plot/with the main characters anyways, and there’s lots of female characters who have important roles but arent sexualized/killed off for man feels/exist for romo (which sadly cannot be said about a lot of media, especially manga/anime tbh, even leverage does not win entirely on that front).. its defintiely my favorite anime ever (i dont watch loads, but literally no other one can ever come close to topping its perfection),

i guess tho, leverage is over, and natsume is still technically ongoing, so i guess for that then i have to go with natsume?

which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? (natsume yuujinchou or b99) Natsume for sure, they’re so short its easy to power thru like half a season in an afternoon

if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? (blackspot) i would probably want to be someone who didnt live in villefranche actually haha uh, it’s a pretty spoopity place.. even some of the characters i do like make some Bad decisions that are v bothersome. Dr. Leila barami seems to have a good head on her shoulders tho, so if i Must be a character here then let’s go with her

would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? (b99 or blackspot) oh god... the cheery upbeat department at the 99 meet up with a grim, misty tiny mountain forest village with bleak day to day life, solving crimes amidst small town paranoia and weird maybe cult-related conspiracies and honestbhly something/s paranormal and menacing going on in the woods?? i just... cant see any of the characters even interacting lol, im just picturing jake’s confused befuddled face when he hears something weird but like x 10000

pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? (natsume yujinchou) hm... i mean, one of the things i love about Natsume is that there arent really any romo relationships tbh? at least not with any of the main characters in the main storyline (so far), just like the odd one-off of minor characters (and takashi’s adopted parents ofc, but that’s different). so, yeah, i cant really think of one (although i think the big fandom fave ship of takashi and his worst enemy is rlly.. nope, and i dont know what’s going on there? takashi and tanama however, that would make sense, tho it is not unlikely so i cant answer this question with them)

overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? (b99 or longmire) b99! cos ya know my annoyances with some of the stuff happening later on in longmire lol, b99 just got better n better as it went along, and it’s still going :’)

which has the better theme music, 2 or 4? (leverage or blackspot) blackspot has a real good eerie atmospheric theme which is gr8 and i love it <3 (leverage’s tune is like, elevator music/cheesy jazzy spy tune, which does suit it tho lol)

📚 It Ends With Us - Colleen Hoover ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ - finished 02.02.2020 - wasn’t the most amazing book I’ve ever read, but it kind of came through a little bit. I could easily see this as a fanfiction on ao3 (lol).

📚 The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 02.25.2020 - it was a reread, ‘cause I read it in 2012 right before the movie came out and honestly I already talked about it a lot on my tag. Perfection. Shaped my life.

📚 Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 02.27.2020 - reread. I have no words for Catching Fire, this book is a masterpiece.

📚 Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 02.29.2020 - reread. The end, the tears, the heartbreak, everlark. It’s just pure talent. Suzanne, I love you, woman

📚 The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 04.22.2020 - first read. The first book of probably the best book series I’ve ever read. So amazing, so dark and so terrible at the same time. It was just a wild ride to read this book and I couldn’t really put it down for a second, it was just insane and so so great.

📚 The Girl who Played with Fire - Stieg Larsson ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 04.26.2020. First read. Second book was so deep like so many secrets, so many gags, just AMAZING! I have no words for second book, it was just holy shit.

📚 The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest - Stieg Larsson ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 05.02.2020. First read. Last book of the series. A great ending. Nothing was rushed. Everything was kind of understood. Even the loose ends sort of kind of weren’t so yeah just perfect. It was the perfect ending honestly and we love to see it.

📚 The Maze Runner - James Dashner ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 05.07.2020. First read. Awesome first book of a gigantic series, i just found out there’s one more book to read omg i’m so excited lol. It’s just awesome and well done and well thought and just like BOOM, amazing characters. Newt, Thomas and Minho are so fun and their interactions are GOLDEN. I’m so excited about the next books, aaaah so good!!!

📚 The Scorch Trials - James Dashner ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 05.09.2020. First read. Okay so second book was a ride! I’m writing this like almost two months after I finished this book, cause i’m fucking lazy to write reviews, but also fuck that. so i loved this book, these series are just amazing!!! i loved the new challenges the characters had to face, some pretty dark stuff, the betrayal in the book is so complicated, i wanted to throw the book on the wall, which is a good thing for a book to bring so many emotions to a person hahaha it’s just golden, golden and golden!

📚 The Death Cure - James Dashner ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 05.10.2020. First read. It’s the last book of the main trilogy of books and it’s really amazing! i mean it has great development and the golden trio is just fantastic honestly. Minho, Newt and Thomas are my babies, I love them so fucking much. Reading Newt wasn’t immune was so hard, seeing his illness getting worse was unbearable and reading his death scene was like having no voice for 3 hours. i mean i really really really love this kid and he deserved the fucking world and all the newtmas we got was crazy crazy i’m just... omg it’s so fucking sad. also teresa i felt so much for her like i know the complications, but i also feel so bad for her she suffered too much. i’m glad my babies got to live in peace and the rest of the world died good for them.

📚 The Kill Order - James Dashner ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 05.17.2020. First read. This a prequel book and it’s an amazing prequel book I GOTTA TELL YA! The chracters were amazing and it’s just not easy to do that, for me to fall in love with characters out of a series of books like that, but i enjoyed them, they were so amazing, so many layers and such a complicated story. when i read at the end of the death cure that the virus was inserted in society i was like WHAT THE FUCK???? and seeing these characters here having the same reaction was so good, cause it’s SO FUCKED UP! i really liked this book, it’s really good!

📚 The Fever Code - James Dashner ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - finished 05.21.2020. First read. Oh god.... reading this book and seeing my children as children being friends was IMPOSSIBLE to bare. I mean i’m just.... they deserved everything like EVERYTHING!!! i felt so bad for disliking teresa so much with this book and the others like i know she’s been through so so much and i’m sorry. i understand her reasons to do what she did and everything and i’m just ah this book is really good.

📚 The Maze Runner Files - James Dashner ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ - finished 05.22.2020. First read. This book was interesting in some ways. There were some nice touches, but it’s only for the fans honestly lol it’s nothing too amazing, it’s nice to have all these little pieces like how it is to have your memories back, some trials, Teresa and Thomas’ first conversation that didn’t go so well, some of the e-mails, things like that.

1. General Diana Farley from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

I love her. She is better than everyone to ever exist anywhere. Gives Mare birth control while giving birth, loses her baby daddy but still fucking fights for her cause, single mom who brings Clara to all the war councils, corrects her dad when he calls her by the wrong rank, gets in trouble for insubordination at the beginning of Glass Sword and then she continues to commit insubordination because her dad is a dick, LEADS A GROUP OF NEWBLOOD FUCKERS WITH AUTHORITY PROBLEMS. She is a queen™.

2. Blue Sargent from The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

Feminist icon™. Expert at standing her ground against dickheads (Kavinsky I’m looking at you.) Doesn’t instantly fall in love with Gansey (tbh I wouldn’t have either), dates Adam first which was cute, has excellent bromances with all her guy friends, gives all the women in her life the love and respect they inherently deserve as human beings, has proven to be just as, if not more, badass than the boys, doesn’t let anyone, even her friends, treat her with less respect than that which she deserves. A true supporter of respect and equality.

3. Cress Darnel from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

Anyone who tells me that Cress Darnel from TLC is weak can die in a fiery spaceship crash bc Cress Darnel deserves the world. She was handed over to the government as soon as she was born bc she couldn’t be manipulated, spent 9 years underground and then was moved to a satellite where her only human contact was with her abuser and yet is still a fucking dreamy, star-eyed sweetheart who is brave and heroic and could fuck up your life and mine with 10 minutes and WiFi. Her and her boyfriend are one of the reasons I’m bisexual so...

4. Annabeth Chase from the PJO and HOO series by Rick Riordan

I have been in love with Annabeth Chase since I was 11 years old (and I didn’t even understand love at the time). She is a beautiful badass who is intelligent and commanding but at the same time, very human and vulnerable and I think that is what makes her such a great female character to look up to. She both kicks ass on the battlefield and the classroom, she doesn’t sit back and let things come to her, she gets up and works for what she wants and I think that makes her a great role model for girls reading Rick’s books.

5. Nesta Archeron from the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas

Okay, Nesta Archeron gets a lot of heat from both the in-book characters and the fandom, but I think she’s a badass. She probably would’ve had the closest relationship with her mother out of the three sisters, so having to watch her mother die while her father did nothing would have been agonising for her. And then she went from riches to rags, and then she loses her littlest sister (don’t you fucking dare tell me that she didn’t care for Feyre) and then gets turned into the thing she’d been taught to fear her entire life, and then watches as her bae almost dies and her father does die sooo... in conclusion, #LeaveNestaAlone2K18.

6. Manon Blackbeak from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Manon Blackbeak could kill me and I would thank her. She is truly beautiful and her character arc is amazing. She sees Abraxos and his fighting spirit and is full of exasperated pride at evrything he does. She treats her Thirteen with the respect that she is given and has earned her respect from the females by being this amazing pillar of strength. I love her opening scene in HoF (the foreshadowing tho) and how she doesn’t lose any of her scariness as the books go. Plus, let’s be honest, we’re all envious that she got to bang the king of hearts everywhere, the future Mr Manon Blackbeak AKA Dorian Havilliard.

7. Isabela Silva from the Legacies Reborn series by Pittacus Lore

Say what you want but Isabela Silva is a bisexual icon™ and I love her almost as much as she loves Taylor Cook. Like, she’s just so... iconic. Brazillian bombshell with a fucking heart of gold. Her boyfriend says she can’t join his team so she shows him up and then dumps his ass (while his head is still up there, mind you.) Literally convinces five other people to sneak out of a UN/US government guarded facility ‘cause why not? And then even when they get in the shit, they still tear a pub apart to help her out because they love her so much.

8. Nina Zenik from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

The reason Nina is so far down is because I couldn’t decide whether I loved her or Inej more (jury’s still out btw). Nina is who I want to be. She is self confident and flirty and knows how to get what she wants w/o sabotaging her dignity to get it. She also is such a ride-or-die friend. like, I’m sorry, your friends might be great but are they “take drugs that could kill you just so your friends will be safe” great. I don’t think so. She is amazing, she is stunning, she is intelligent, she could kill a man. I aspire to be her.

9. Marlee Tames from The Selection Series by Kiera Cass

This was a close one between Celeste and Marlee but Marlee Tames is a sweetheart who nearly died for love so she won. She understands that things like money and caste aren’t the only things that matter and when it came down to it, she stayed true to her heart and chose love over wealth. I personally love Fleur bc she is a combination of all the things I admire in a woman.
