I saw folks were doing fanmade statements again! I have some on the back burner I want to share:
“Way Down Under the Ground”, Statement of Persephone Grey regarding her husband’s growing company town. (Hadestown, The Buried); Grey is the last name of the actress who originated the role on Broadway (Amber Grey).
“Taming”, Statement of Bianca Minola regarding her sister’s gradual shift in personality. (The Taming of the Shrew, Lonely/Spiral); [side note: I originally thought of it as just a Spiral statement, but Lonely works a bit too well. Petruchio's manipulations work because of his isolation of Katerina and depriving her of food, water, and decency. There's a whole post-Change domain dedicated to the loneliness abuse victims feel and their fears.]
"Literal Monster," Statement of Peter Spankoffski regarding the death and resurrection of his high school bully. (Nerdy Prudes Must Die, The Desolation) [sidenote: desolation avatar Max Jagerman FUCKS. Also thought of NPMD having some Hunt aspects, specifically with Max and stuff ]

ranking my MT dream dream roles by how attainable* they are
*this is assuming a local theatre company is putting on the show, (even if they realistically wouldn’t) not broadway/national tour level lmao
Semi-Attainable
Agatha Trunchbull, Matilda: traditionally played by a male, (a thing I’m not very fond of, but don’t get me started lol) but her songs are right in my chest/belt range, and I enjoy terrorizing children, so.
Jennifer Honey, Matilda: so sweet. so kind. love her to pieces. Also sings right in my mix/head range. Mayzie LaBird, Seussical: despite it being the show everyone does in middle/high school, I’ve never been in it? but I saw a friend play Mayzie when I was little and immediately fell in love. diva icon istg
Mortica Addams, The Addams Family: now we’re talking bb!! i did a school production of the Addams Family a while ago and got cast as Alice. it was a lot of fun, but I think I’d fair callbacks better a second time around, now that I’ve had more proper training. Katherine Plumber: in my top 3 dream roles of all time. her music matches pretty well with my voice, her snark is so fun to read for, and also i can tap. i think if I picked a good audition song I’d have a solid shot.
Puck, a midsummers night dream: not a musical but i feel like a casting director would appreciate the fact that i am small and gnc and have been cast as comedic side characters. also he is tricky and I love that.
Iffy
Sonya Rostova, Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812: i really love her music and her character, but her voice sits at a rlly weird part of my range?? 50/50 if I’d even get a callback
Lydia Deetz, Beetlejuice: i just don’t think it’s realistic? her specific style of belting doesn’t treat my voice very well for some reason. still think dead mom slaps tho
Persephone, Hadestown: I’m just not old enough to fit the mature ‘Mother Nature’ vibe she has goin on
Hélène Bezukhova, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812: see Persephone. im just not old enough yet to pull of that mature, slinky vibe she has. any role originated by Amber Grey is going to be out of my league for at least another 10+ years.
LMAFO KEEP DREAMING
Carlotta, Phantom of the Opera: Not in a million years. She’s so dramatic and fun but I am not a coloratura 😭. Judas Iscariot, Jesus Christ Superstar: no one, and I mean no one, is casting me as Judas. however, i will continue to dream of playing this role until I’m six feet under
Kind Herod, Jesus Christ Superstar: see Judas. not happening. unless the casting pool is very, very small and very, very female heavy. then I might get a callback
The Fates, Hadestown: i can’t play any of their instruments

What’s your voice hc for toriel?
A bit of an unorthodox choice, but I think Amber Grey as Persephone from Hadestown would be a fun possibility. I just prefer Toriel with a deeper voice than most usually give her. Particularly when she's around other adults.
Of the voice I was considering:
Livin' It Up On Top
Our Lady of the Underground
How Long

In the myth of Persephone, she is the queen of both flowers and death. The stories say that Hades snatched her from a field and dragged her down into his realm of darkness and wandering ghosts, leaving her mother, Demeter, to nearly destroy the earth in her desperate attempt to find her lost daughter.
This is a mother’s love, the stories say. A love that consumes the self and everything else along with it.
It was Hecate, the goddess of magic, who took pity on Demeter and helped her. It was Hecate who told her of the darkness and the chasm that opened in the earth into a bottomless pit where lost voices whisper in the depths. It was Hecate who described the dark-robed god who stole away the girl in her yellow dress with daisies crowning her flaming hair.
And it was Hecate who, with a final touch of dramatism, leaned toward Demeter and said in a hoarse whisper,
“And do you know what the last words I heard the girl say were?”
Demeter shook her head, hands shaking, eyes wild.
“She cried out… mother.”
That was enough for Demeter. She marched to the palace of Olympus where her brother Zeus held council in the great throne room– when he wasn’t off seducing the innocent mortals. She demanded that he tell Hades to let her daughter go. Zeus, ponderous and indifferent, cared not for the squabbles of his family. But the mortals on earth were suffering; Demeter’s misery had caused the crops to wither, the cattle to die, the streams to turn stagnant. Zeus was exhausted by the incessant, helpless cries of the little humans, who constantly bothered him with their burnt offering and sobbing prayers. And so he called Hades to Olympus so that Demeter could make her demands.
Hades came willingly, and stood before Demeter in the great throne room, smoothing his robes and quieting the whispers of the souls woven within them.
Demeter seized him by the throat and choked out five words:
“Give me my daughter back.”
Hades gently took her hands in his own ice-cold grip and told her, in a quiet voice, about the pomegranate seeds.
And he told her about the girl who lit up the darkness of his gloomy realm, the way the ghosts reached out to her for comfort and stories of the earth they had left behind, the way she held his cold hands in her warm ones and the icy facade around his heart began to thaw.
The myths don’t say this, but Hades told Demeter a story very different from Hecate’s. He told her about finding the girl at one of the entrances to the underworld, dying flowers woven in her braids, a tattered, dirty dress, and slashed arms blooming as red as her hair. He told of how the girl looked at him with fading amber eyes, and so he gathered her in his arms and brought her down to his dark kingdom and she said not a word till he promised her that she could stay.
And Demeter, hearing this, crumpled to the ground and sobbed for her lost daughter, while Zeus cleared his throat and shifted uncomfortably and Hades stood by, hands folded, silent.
When at last Demeter caught her breath and her tears began to slow, she looked up into Hades’ grey, inscrutable eyes and asked simply,
“Do you love her?”
And Hades replied, “Before she came, I hated the darkness of my realm. I longed for the sun and the sky, the breeze against my skin, the constellations on a clear night. Now, Persephone is my light, my breath, my northern star. If I lost her, even I, the god of the Underworld, would perish.”
Demeter nodded, and asked one more question, so quietly Hades almost couldn’t hear it.
“Does she miss me?”
Hades looked at her with something like pity. “Give her time,” he said softly, “She will heal, and the world shall have spring again.”
