Leah and Lucy have never got on. An event they both attend brings them a little bit closer. Do they start to see things eye to eye? God I hate summary's.
Chapters 1 of 4 part 2 here
Warnings - Smut, all the good stuff
Lucy is a friendly person, she gets on with most people she meets. She’s easy going, she isn’t an in your face kind of person, she keeps herself to herself. She’s respectful to others, and even if she didn’t agree with something, she would still be able to get along with the person in a friendly manner.
But there was one person Lucy didn’t get on with, and her name is Leah Williamson.
Lucy and Leah’s dislike for each other started a couple years back. The hatred started when they first played against each other in Leah’s first over 21’s game.
The girls had never officially met prior to the game. Though Leah had already heard about Lucy, she was becoming a known name within women’s football. Lucy had a couple years on Leah, and if Leah was honest she was a bit nervous to play against her. She had heard how good she was and how hard she was to get past on the pitch.
It had gone half time and the game was getting to Leah. She had barely touched the ball and when she did, the defender was always hot on her heels. Lucys team was up by 3.
7 minutes into the second half and Leah finally had possession of the ball. She was clear, nobody was in her way. She could see the goal keeper trying to work out where she was going to shoot. She could practically taste the goal, until she felt a strong body next to hers. Lucy was able to get the ball back with no issue, she hardly even touched the blonde. Lucy cleared the ball away, and Leah lost it. She didn’t think about what she was doing. She tackled Lucy, hard. She knew the ball was gone. She could have easily stopped herself, but her anger got the better of her. She went in hard with her right foot, against the defender’s shin.
As soon as she heard the brunette cry out she regretted it. Lucy was rolling on the floor, holding her leg, she could see the pain in her face. She knew it was a stupid thing to do. The ref blew her whistle and held up a red card.
She heard the boo’s from the crowd. She then felt someone shove her, it was Jordan Nobbs. “What are you playing at?” She was in Leah’s face now, pure anger in her voice.
Her own teammates got in-between them. The ref came over and told Leah to leave the pitch. It all happened so fast. She could feel the dread in her stomach. She looked again at the brunette. She saw tears in the defenders eyes, the medics were beside her in seconds.
Lucy had to miss two games because of the injury. And she never got an apology from the girl. Leah was suspended for 3 games.
After the game Leah’s manager didn’t hold back. She told her how stupid it was, how it affects the team, even how she could have ruined the other players life with an injury, and everything else to make her feel bad. Even a few of her team mates made a few comments. Lucy had played with these girls in previous teams so they probably had some kind of friendship with her.
Since then they couldn’t stand each other. For Lucy it was the sheer lack of respect Leah had for her. Leah knew she did wrong that day. The shame of what she did turned into embarrassment, that then turned into anger and resentment towards the defender.
Over the years it always got heated on the pitch when they played against each other. There would be a pull of the shirt here, and stepping on an ankle there. It was a known fact that they couldn’t stand each other. Some people joked that they needed to have it out in the boxing ring.
—————-
“Yeah the green looks good!” Georgia was on Lucy’s phone screen, the girls decided to FaceTime each other to get the approval of what they were wearing for the charity event.
Lucy and many other players had been invited to a charity event in London. It was a charity to help children get into sports all over the world. A lot of big names were going to be at the event, so she wanted to look good. Thankfully some of the England squad were going, it was always easier at these things when you knew a few faces. She messaged Georgia, Ella, Alessia and Keira to see what they were wearing. And that’s how she came to have Georgias face on her phone.
Lucy stood in her floor length mirror, looking at herself. She knew she could rock a suit, but dahm she looked good in this one. “Yeah I think I’ll go with this one.” She pushed her glasses back up her nose and smiled at herself.
She took a few photos and sent them to the group chat with Georgia, Keira, Alessia and Ella. She got responses quickly.
Ella - Yessss Bronze!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 FITTT
Georgia - 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 DRIP
Keira - Nice!! 👌 ❤️
Alessia - Love it Lucy!!! You look good 😍😍
Lucy was happy to get the approval from her friends. They also sent their outfits photos, to which they all looked good, and Lucy hyped them up just the same.
A few hours later Lucy was in her home gym. The brunette was working out a sweat on her punch bag. Thats when she got a call from her agent. She pulled off one of her gloves straps with her teeth. She answered it, loud speaker on.
“Hey Lucy! Can you talk? Is it a bad time?”
Lucy breathed hard, wiping the sweat from her four head with her arm. “Hi Lisa, no, all good, I’m just working out. What’s up?”
Lisa sounded weird, like she was excited but there was a slight off tone to it. “Oh, great. Well I was just calling to let you know the organisers at the charity event wants you to announce one of the awards.”
Lucy wasn’t surprised by the request, she was an ambassador for a charity herself.
“Yeah, sounds good. It’s not a long speech is it?”
“No, no. Just a quick award, the usual..”
Lucy could hear there was something else in Lisa voice, she had heard it before when giving Lucy bad news. “What’s wrong Lisa?”
Lisa waited a few seconds before answering. “They want you to present the award with someone.”
Lucy scrunched her face in confusion, why would that be a problem?
“Right, that’s fine? Isn’t that what happens most of the time? Who’s it with?”
Lisa once again fell silent. “….They want you to do the award with Leah Williamson.”
Lucy stopped mid stretch.
“Are you serious? Please tell me you’re joking? Why would they do that?”
Lisa scoffed, “Probably to make it seem like even they can bring two mortal enemies together with the power of charity.” Lucy could hear the sarcasm in Lisa’s voice.
The brunette shut her eyes in frustration and took a deep breath through her nose. “Well I’m just gong to have to do it, I don’t need to talk to the girl.”
Lisa sounded relieved. “Thank god. I’ll tell them you’ll do it. It’ll be fine, you don’t need to be best friends. Anyways, I’ll let you go, I’ll send you more details once I have them.”
Lucy started to fit the boxing glove back to her left hand. “Okay, sounds good. Talk to you later.”
Lisa ended the call. Lucy went back to her boxing bag. At least she’ll have something to focus her anger while boxing now.
2 weeks had passed and tonight was the charity event. Lucy was getting ready in her room. She had gone for light natural make up and was rocking her green suit with a clean white vest top that showed off her abs through the thin fabric and a pair of white Nike air max to finish it off. Her hair in her signature bun.
She was trying not to think about the fact that she was going to have to share the stage with Leah tonight. The last 2 weeks the her teammates had joked about the situation. They even had bets on who would win in a fight, Lucy was more than pissed that 4 of the girls on the team actually picked Leah.
She was interrupted from her thoughts when a text came through.
Alessia - outside x
Lucy had a car picking her up for the event, luckily Alessia lived close by so they were able to go to the event together. Lucy took one more look in her mirror and made her way outside. She was more than relieved to have Alessia with her. She opened the door to see the striker in a beautiful gold dress.
“Hey Luce! Oh my god, you look even better in real life! I love the suit.”
Lucy smiled, she loved it when Alessia hyped her up, it always seemed so genuine.
“Thanks Russo. You look stunning, gold really suits you.”
Alessia smiled at the compliment, she actually seemed shy from the comment. “Thank you Luce. I’m looking forward to tonight, there’s going to be an after party!”
Lucy smiled at her teammate, she loved how enthusiastic she was being, it made her think tonight wasn’t going to be too bad. They chatted all the way to the event, even taking some selfies. They arrived to a sea of photographers, flashing lights everywhere. Lucy would never get used to this part of the job. Photo shoots she could live with, but this was always a whole other world. She was just thankful to have someone with her.
She felt Alessia touch her back. A gentle reminder that she wasn’t alone. They made their way through the sea of flashing lights. They finally caught up with their teammates. They grabbed a sofa area before they could sit at their assigned seats.
Ella was sitting next to Lucy on the sofa, she nudged Lucy with her elbow. Lucy turned to see why Ella was bugging her. She smirked at Lucy and nodded her head to the direction in front of her.
“Eh up, it’s your co-host Bronze. Wow, she looks hot.”
Lucy looked in the direction Ella had nodded to, and she was right. There stood Leah, she was chatting to a TV host Lucy recognised but couldn’t tell you the name of. Lucy screwed up her face at the ‘hot’ comment. “Oi, whose side are you on? You can’t say she’s hot.”
Ella laughed and looked back at the blonde “Na sorry Luce, she does look hot, you have eyes, you can’t say she doesn’t look good.” The other girls had now taken interest in the conversation and looked around to see for themselves.
Keira was first to comment. “Oh yeah, she does look good. I knew she was fit but wow.” Lucy curled up her lip in disbelief. “Erm, sorry did we forget we don’t like her?” A smile crept of her face and the girls and Lucy laughed.
She did take a look at the blonde herself and the girls weren’t wrong, she did look good, Lucy could easily admit that. Leah was wearing a black dress that hugged her at the best bits, a high opening at the top of her thigh, exposing a bit of skin, and gold heels to finish it off. Her hair was down and straight. Lucy couldn’t take her eyes off her.
They were finally able to sit at their assigned seats. All the girls were together, with a few other names on their table. Ella was making small talk about football with Rylan Clarke and Lucy and the others stayed on their phones. They had been to events like this before and they could be a little boring, so no one judged you for having a scroll through your phone.
Lucy had a few glasses of Prosecco to give her some Dutch courage. It’s not like she was shaking in her seat with nerves but it always made it easier having a few bubbles in you, she also wasn’t sure how this was going to go with Leah. They hadn’t even acknowledged each other since they arrived.
Half an hour later a member of staff came to collect Lucy. The girls wished her luck. She was feeling fine, the alcohol was definitely helping, she wasn’t drunk but felt warm and light. She was ushered back stage where she found Leah already waiting. The blonde gave her a tight smile and nod, Lucy returned it. She couldn’t help but notice how good the blonde looked. They had at least 5 minutes before they had to walk on stage. Lucy was listening to the other presenters on stage, trying not to make it anymore awkward than it already was.
“I can’t do it.”
Lucy turned around to a pale looking Leah. She looked like a deer in headlights
“What?”
“I can’t do this, I’m freaking out. God I knew I should have just said no.” Leah was starting to panic, she could feel her hands shaking.
She bent forward hands on her knees the girl looked liked she was about to be sick. Lucy gingerly stepped forward to Leah, she put her hand out to touch Leah’s back but thought better of it.
Leah wanted the floor to swallow her whole, she couldn’t believe she was having a breakdown in front of Lucy. Of all people.
Lucy wasn’t really sure what to do. She didn’t know Leah, she didn’t have the best relationship with the girl. Now she was having a meltdown, moments before they were meant to be on live television. She would be more than happy to go out alone if she needed to.
Leah stood up she looked like she was about to cry. For some reason seeing Leah close to tears stirred something inside of the brunette. She didn’t like the girl but she didn’t want to see her like this either.
Leah could feel her eyes watering, she was in full panic now.
“Leah it’s okay. You can do this, you’ve had bigger audiences than this, this is nothing for you.” Lucy was sure that would be enough.
Leah puffed out her cheeks, a tear falling from her eye. “God, sorry, I can’t believe I’m crying in front of you.” Lucy couldn’t believe Leah was this nervous. Their history was pushed aside for a moment.
Lucy took Leah by the shoulders. Leah was clearly taken aback by the touch and tensed up under Lucy’s hands. “Hey, look, I know this isn’t the easiest of things, I get it. I hated doing things like this before. But you are Leah fucking Williamson, one of the best football players out there, what do you have to be nervous about?”
Leah wiped her eye and chuckled. “Wow, I did not ever expect to hear those words come out of your mouth.” She could feel Lucy’s strong hands on her bare skin. She was close enough to smell her perfume. It smelt like a perfume Leah had of her own. The touch distracted her for a split second from her worries. She also couldn’t believe Lucy had said she thought she was a good football player.
Lucy smiled, she was happy to see she got the girl to laugh, Lucy once again couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the girl was up close. She felt her tension leave her shoulders.
“Yeah, well don’t get used to it. Look, if you want I can do all the talking, you can read out the winner? Or you can just come out? I’m easy.” Lucy stepped back, letting go of the blonde.
Leah sniffled and took a deep breath, dabbing the corners of her eyes lightly, trying not to mess up her make up. “Could you maybe do the talking, and we read out the winner together?…If thats okay?” Lucy couldn’t help but notice how weak her voice sounded.
“No, that’s all good with me. Don’t worry you’ll be fine. Just breathe through it.” Lucy gave her a small smile.
Leah gave her a genuine smile back. Before any more could be said a young girl from the stage crew came over, with a headset on. “Hey ladies, okay, your cues will be in front of you on the projector with your names. Make sure to smile and no swearing.” She smiled and ushered them over to the side of the stage. She looked to be listening to someone in her ear. “I have Lucy and Leah now, they are clear to go.” Lucy then heard their names being called out on the speakers by a pre recorded voice, the lady smiled and gestured for them to go on stage.
Lucy started to walk, she could hear the audience clapping. She then felt a hand hook around her arm. Lucy looked around to see Leah attached to her. Leah smiled at her almost pleading her not move her arm away, she clearly needed the support.
Leah didn’t realise she had reached out to Lucy. She needed to feel something close to her, she needed something to ground her. Lucy smiled and carried on walking, she pulled Leah closer to her without thinking twice. As soon as Lucy pulled the girl closer, Leah felt like she could breathe again.
Lucy read out all the script, like she said she would, still feeling Leah attached to her arm. They read out the winner together, still noticing how small Leah’s voice was. They congratulated the winner and walked off the stage, Leah walking close by her side.
Another crew member came over, with a headset on his head. “Well done guys, could you follow me please.” They followed the young boy back stage and back down to the floor. Lucy was first to get to her table, and before she could do or say anything, the boy ushered Leah back to her own table. Leah looked like she was about to say something but was quickly rushed by the crew member.
Lucy stood with her back to the table, she watched Leah go to her own table. She turned to see her teammates were staring at her like she had grown two heads.
“What?…is there something on my face?” Panic set in thinking she had done something embarrassing. She slowly sat down, eyes still on her, but no one was talking.
“What’s wrong? What did I do? Did I say the names wrong?”
Ella spoke first. “What was that about?” She nodded her head towards Leah’s table. Ella smiled. “Are you two best friends now?”
Realisation kicked in. Lucy laughed. How was she going to explain this? She wasn’t going to go into detail about Leah’s meltdown, friends or not she wasn’t someone who would talk about someone else behind their back. “She just needed a bit of help. No big deal.” The girls looked at each other, a few smiles and lost looks on their faces.
Georgia laughed. “Well, you looked good together.” The girls all laughed, Lucy laughed with them.
For a split second the comment had Lucy’s mind wonder to what it would be like to be with Leah in more ways than one.
She was interrupted by her thoughts when Keira jumped in. “You did well up there Lucy.” Keira smiled a genuine smile at her and raised her glass. Alessia was pouring Lucy a new glass to drink. The girls all raised their glasses. “To Lucy!” Shouted Ella. They all cheersed and took a drink from their glasses.
“Awww thanks guys.” The girls went into their own conversations. Lucy looked around the room, spotting a few famous faces she recognised, another part of the job she still hadn’t gotten used to. She turned to the right of her, and caught a pair blue eyes watching her. Leah’s blue eyes.
Leah quickly looked away, trying her hardest to act like she hadn’t just been caught in 4k.
Lucy looked back at her drink, smiling to herself as she took a sip of her Prosecco.
Leah kicked herself internally. She had been watching Lucy for a while, and she knew she should have stoped after the first 5 minutes, but she couldn’t help it. When Leah first saw Lucy tonight, she had to pick her mouth up from the ground. Lucy looked really fucking good in her green suit. Leah could see Lucy’s 6 pack through her fitted white t shirt she could have sworn she dribbled. Then seeing her up close backstage didn’t help, she made her more nervous than she already was.
She felt like she could still feel Lucy’s hands on her shoulders, she made her feel so relaxed, just the touch alone calmed her breathing. Don't get her wrong, she knew Lucy didn’t like her or even looked at her in any other way than an enemy. But Leah could still appreciate a good looking woman when she saw one, and she thought that every time she had the pleasure of seeing Lucy. On or off the pitch.
The awards finished and the girls made their way to the after party all in one car. It wasn’t far from the first event. They pulled up to a bar that had a night club underground. They jumped out of the car and were escorted straight in. The DJ was already playing the right kind of music to get you dancing. They were escorted to a reserved table with a few different bottles of drink in ice. They poured what they wanted and made themselves comfy.
More people started drifting in from the charity event and the bar become full. There were a few other girls from different teams on the dance floor. It was mostly athletes at this event as it was a sports charity, so Lucy could spot a few of the other girls out. She also spotted a certain blonde in the middle of the dance floor. Looking a lot more calmer than she did earlier. Ella and Georgia decided they wanted to dance, they made their way to dance floor but not without dragging Lucy down with them.
The girls laughed at Lucy pretending to not want to go, but Lucy didn’t put up a fight, she was the first the start dancing once they got to the dance floor. The other two joined them and all 5 of them were dancing under the strobe lights. After a half hour Lucy made her way to the toilets. She felt the effects of the alcohol hitting her a bit more, after leaving the hot room of bodies.
As she left the toilet stall she was met with Leah’s blue eyes staring back at her in the mirror. She stoped in her tracks for a quick second and made her way to the sink. Leah seemed to be doing something with her make up. She gave a small smile to the girl, and received a tight lipped smile back from Leah, it looked like it hurt her to do it.
Leah nearly dropped her lipgloss when she saw Lucy in the mirror. Lucy was making Leah nervous anytime she was close, she didn’t even have to be talking to her. Just her presence alone was enough.
Lucy wasn’t sure if she should really say anything, it felt more awkward than ever, she preferred it when there was a mutual hatred. The thing is Lucy didn’t hate Leah, she thought she was rude, a bit of a show off but she never hated her. She respected her as a football player, she was being honest when she told Leah she thought she was one of the best. However, if Leah was still going to be cold towards Lucy, even after earlier then she could simply fuck off.
Leah’s brain was in over drive trying to think of something to say. Her mouth became completely dry. She kept glancing at the brunette. Hoping to strike up any conversation.
Lucy gave herself a once over in the mirror before finishing up, and made her way towards the door.
“Thanks.”
Lucy’s paused in her tracks, hand on the door. Did she just hear that right? She turned to see Leah facing her. Lucy raised her eyebrows. She heard Leah but she wanted her to say it again. “Pardon?”
Leah looked at her shoes, clearly finding it hard to resist an eye roll. Lucy smiled internally. Leah looked back up at the defender and took a big breath. “Thank you for earlier. I’m - I’m not the best with all that stuff. Sorry you had to do it all.”
Lucy was shocked, she didn’t think she was going to get a thank you from the girl. She knew that must have taken a lot for Leah, she wasn’t going to gloat or be a dick about it. She smiled at the blonde in front of her. “That’s okay, I could see it was bothering you, it’s nothing.”
Lucy’s smile was becoming a big weakness for Leah.
Leah looked like she relaxed a little, and looked back at Lucy. “Also, sorry for holding on to you. I don’t really know what happened there.”
Lucy smiled her brilliant toothy smile, almost verging on flirty. “Ah that’s okay, don’t apologise for that, I didn’t mind.”
Leah smiled at Lucy with a shy smile, Lucy once again noticing how naturally beautiful the girl was. An awkward silence fell over them. Leah pushed her hair back behind her ear, looking around the room. Lucy was about to do them both a favour and wish Leah a good night but Leah wanted to keep talking.
“I like your suit by the way. Green really suits you. It goes with your eyes.”
Fuck, fuck. Fuck….why did you say that.
Lucy didn’t expect that, and she must have made that clear on her face. Leah looked like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole. In one way Lucy liked seeing Leah squirm, it wasn’t something you saw often on Leah, it was just fun seeing her little pretty face go into panic mode. She’d seen Leah pull a few of these new faces tonight, and she was secretly loving it.
Lucy smirked, and she made sure it was flirty this time. She looked Leah up and down with just enough tease in her eyes. “Erm, thank you. I didn’t know you were looking at me so hard.”
And for the second time that night Leah was a deer in headlights. “Erm - I - I -, sorry, I just like your suit…and I saw your eyes were green, and - and… yeah, wow.” Leah looked like she was about combust. Lucy couldn’t watch her crumble anymore.
Lucy gave out a low chuckle. “Chill Leah, I’m joking. Thank you. You look really, really nice tonight, that dress is beautiful on you.” Lucy knew what she was doing, and was loving what it was doing to Leah.
Leah gave a small laugh, clearly feeling a little shy, from Lucy’s comment and her own comments. She pushed her hair back once more behind her ear. “Thank you.”
Silence fell over them again, Leah grabbed her bag and pointed towards the door. “I better go, the girls are probably wondering where I am.”
She walked towards the door and Lucy opened it for her. She could smell Leah’s sandalwood perfume, a lot like the one Lucy where’s. Lucy watched as the girl walked past her.
“Oh thanks.” Leah smiled shyly up at Lucy.
Lucy smiled back. “No worries.”
She watched the blonde go past and couldn’t help but have a cheeky look at her arse. She knew Leah had a good arse, but she only ever saw it before in football shorts, the dress was doing wonders.
The night went on. Lucy was with her small squad, all the girls was having a good time, many pictures were taken. Lucy posted a few to her story. She posted a picture of her alone, pouring a drink. Her abs were noticeable even through her white T-shirt. She knew she looked good, she knew her stomach looked good and yeah, she wanted to show it off.
Lucy would be lying if she wasn’t trying to look for a certain blonde in the crowd, but she hadn’t seen her since their toilet encounter. To say Lucy wasn’t a bit confused with the night would be an understatement. To be honest she didn’t hate the change in dynamics, she didn’t really like the rivalry between her and Leah. She hated that the press would even make it a topic to write about.
The night got later and the guest started to leave. The girls also called it a night. They had a car waiting for them outside. The event team had booked rooms for the girls at the hotel back where the charity event was held. It was 2 girls per room and Lucy got the long straw of having her own room.
On the way back to the hotel Lucy scrolled through her insta. She noticed a new name on her notifications. She smiled at her phone, seeing Leah Williamson name pop up. She had liked her latest post.
“Aye up, who’s got you smiling?” Georgia was sat opposite Lucy in their taxi.
Lucy looked up at Georgia, she really was like an annoying little sister sometimes. She closed her screen phone, but Keira had already seen what she was smiling at. Lucy smiled and shock her head. “Nothing, just a funny meme.”
Georgia wouldn’t drop it though. “Oh what a liar! Who is it then?”
“Erm you have a cheek.” Keira jumped in. “Wasn’t you flirting with that netball player all night? Shall we talk about that?”
Georgia smirked, and suddenly the view outside was more interesting than the conversation. All the girls laughed including Georgia.
“Mate, you are so red.” Ella laughed at Georgia. The girls started talking about the night and events that happened, questioning Georgia on her affairs.
Lucy caught eyes with Keira and thanked her with a smile. She loved the girls but they could definitely be relentless sometimes.
They finally arrived at the hotel. The girls got in the lift giggling at something Alessia said. They were all a little drunk, nothing too crazy but the drunk kind, when the most stupid thing is the more hilarious thing.
“Right, this is me. I’ll see you guys in the morning for breakfast.”
Lucy was on the floor below her teammates.
“Noooo, let’s keep this going. Drinks in my room.” Georgia pleaded.
“Night Luce, see you tomorrow.” Keira looked stressed to be sharing a room with Georgia.
“No way, I’m off. Good luck Keira. Night all.”
The doors shut on Georgia’s protest.
Lucy walked the hallway to her room, she turned the corner to see a woman standing with her back to her. As she turned around she was met with those blue eyes again. Once again those blue eyes were in a state of shock.
“Oh my god, what are you doing here?”
Leah couldn’t believe her luck. Katie decided to bring a girl back to their shared hotel room. She saw the sock on the door and nearly lost her shit. She couldn’t complain too hard though, she had done the same thing 2 months ago to Katie and she didn’t complain.
Seeing Lucy in front of her was a bit of a shock. She seemed to bump into the girl a lot tonight. Seeing Lucy made her feel lots of different things, she couldn’t put her finger on just one. But excited was definitely the first word she could think of, but why was she here?
“Going to my room?” Lucy said it with a tone of sarcasm. Lucy wasn’t that shocked to see Leah, most of the hotel was booked for the events guest tonight.
“What are you doing here? Why you standing in the hallway?”
Lucy walked towards her room. Leah was clearly stressed about something, she nodded towards a door down from Lucy’s. It had a sock on the door nob.
Lucy raised her eyebrows. “Oh. I see, who you sharing with?”
Leah put her arms around herself. “McCabe.”
Lucy nodded her head. “I haven’t seen that in a while.”
Leah pulled out her phone. “I’ll just have to book somewhere else. I can’t be asked to get into anything with her.”
The next words out of Lucy’s mouth wasn’t thought through, they came out before she even realised she said it.
“You can stay with me?”
Leah was the one to raise her eye brows this time. She clearly wasn’t expecting that from Lucy. She didn’t want to assume anything either. Lucy doesn’t like her like that, she was just trying to be nice. She probably just felt bad. But she could still feel the butterflies in her stomach.
It felt like a lifetime of silence before Leah replied. Lucy never had so many silent conversations in her life before tonight.
“No, god. I don’t want to put you out. I’ll just wait in reception or something.” Leah put her hand on her forehead and closed her eyes, clearly annoyed at the thought of waiting around.
Lucy once again feeling bad for the blonde in front of her tonight, this was becoming a habit.
“No, come on. Why would you do that. I’m sure there’s a pull out sofa in there. You can go to your room when she’s done.”
Leah looked at Lucy. The brunette couldn’t work out the thoughts going through her head. She opened the door with the key card. “Come on, I won’t bite. Unless you like that kind of thing.” She winked at Leah and gave her one of her flirty smiles. She couldn’t help it.
Fuck, Leah nearly lost her legs. Lucy flirting was not something she thought she’d ever be in the presence of. The wink alone made her squirm.
Leah finally laughed. She rolled her eyes and walked toward the now open door. Lucy held it open for her. Lucy was having deja vu once again tonight.
It was a nice room, it had a king size bed and wall length windows that was over looking London. Lucy’s suitcase was in the middle of the room. Lisa would have got that there for her.
Lucy walked towards the windows, she loved the city at night. She turned around to see Leah standing in the middle of the room, looking lost.
Lucy cleared her throat. “So, how was your night?” She sat on the sofa near the window. She didn’t really know what to do with herself. A couple of hours ago Lucy was dreading having to share the stage with Leah, now she was standing in front of her in her hotel room. She seemed to have shared a lot of different moments with Leah tonight.
Leah played her with fingers. “Erm, yeah, bit of a weird one. But, it was good. Yours?”
Lucy chuckled, she had a feeling Leah was referring to all of their encounter’s tonight.
“Yeah, weird is one way of putting it.”
Silence fell over them once more. Lucy didn’t really understand it. Leah was so vocal on the pitch. She had seen her in action plenty of times. Even after matches, in her interviews she was confident and wanted to talk about her thoughts on the game. But the women in front of her seemed, scared.
“Shall we see what the mini bar is offering?”
Leah let out a breath. “Please.”
“Good, something we can agree on. Do you want to sit, get comfy.” She watched the girl take off her leather jacket and sat on the opposite side of the small round table.
She found a few bottles of small spirits and plenty of mixers. Even 4 bottles of small Prosecco. Thank god.
“Okay we have, spice rum, vodka, gin and some Prosecco, what do you fancy?”
Leah was looking out the window. “Oh erm, rums good for me. Thank you.”
“I’ll join you with the rum I think.”
Lucy started making their drinks. Just as she was finishing up, music started playing in her ears. She was confused, she looked over at Leah who had a timid smile on her face.
“Sorry, I connected my phone to the speakers. Do you mind?”
Lucy carried the drinks over to the table. “Oh no, not at all. We’re having our own little party.” She sat down opposite Leah, handing her, her drink. Leah took it, her fingers touching Lucy’s quickly. She thanked her with a small voice.
“So, please tell me this is as awkward for you as it is for me.” It was probably the drink in her system that allowed Lucy to have the word vomit, like she did earlier when she asked Leah to stay the night.
Leah laughed loudly. A genuine belly laugh, Lucy once again noticing the girls beauty was, especially when she laughed or smiled. Lucy smiled, she was glad the girl was laughing and not throwing hands.
“Yeah. Don’t worry, I’m feeling it too.” Leah pushed her hair back behind her ear and took a sip of her drink.
“Look, I know we’re not the best of friends but you can chill. I’m not going to start having a got at you or anything.”
Leah’s a confident person, she’s confident in her football, she’s confident speaking her mind, she’s very confident with flirting and getting what or who she wanted. However Leah wasn’t great at public speaking but, when her agent told her who she’d be presenting with she changed her tune quickly.
For a while Leah has had a crush on the brunette, well since she kind of laid eyes on her. She wasn’t in love with the girl, she had eyes she could appreciate a good looking woman. She also respected Lucy a lot, as a person and footballer. But she never made it obvious, she kept the angry front up as it was much easier than being turned down by Lucy. For some reason Lucy made her nervous and tonight it really showed. She didn’t expect Lucy to be anything but cold towards her as that’s how it had always been. So when the girl was being kind to her back stage it threw her completely off, she couldn’t keep up the coldness towards her, she just nervous instead.
Leah took another sip of her drink, watching Lucy over the rim of her glass. It was the first time Lucy felt like the deer in head lights.
Leah cleared her throat and sat back in her seat a small smile on her face. “Yeah, sorry. I’ve been on a bit of edge today.”
Lucy nodded her head. She could understand, these kind of event days could be a lot. Press, photographers meeting so many people.
“Yeah I get it, you don’t have to explain yourself.”
“Why are you being so nice to me?”
Lucy wasn’t expecting that question.
“Not that I’m complaining, but we’ve never got on. You hate me, but you’ve been nothing but nice to me. I don’t get it.”
“Firstly, I don’t hate you Leah. Yeah we’ve never got on, but that’s because our first introduction to each other wasn’t great.”
Leah winced at that. Lucy wasn’t saying it in a harsh tone but what she was saying was true.
“I don’t know if you even remember but I never got an apology from you and it’s just kind of been tense since then. But I don’t hate you. I really respect you as a footballer and what you do for your club.”
Lucy took a long swig of her drink.
Leah’s shoulders slumped, she looked down at the floor, Lucy could see she felt bad.
“Well, I know it’s been a while since our first game but would you accept my apology now?”
Lucy smiled. “Yeah. Yeah I would.”
Leah smiled an easy smile back. “Lucy, I’m genuinely really sorry for how I acted on that first game. In all honesty I was terrified to play against you. I lost my temper that day and I was childish and stupid. I have regretted everyday since then that I didn’t apologise to you sooner.” She sat forward in her chair and put her hand on Lucy’s thigh. “I am truly sorry for how I acted that day, and every match we’ve had together since. I really am sorry.” She finished with a deep breath.
Leah took a long swig of her glass, finishing her drink.
Lucy was shocked at the sincereness of Leah, she could tell the girl meant it.
Lucy smiled her famous smile and raised her glass towards Leah.
“To new beginnings.”
The blonde smiled back, more tension looked liked it left her shoulders. She raised her glass.
“To new beginnings.”
They clinked their glasses together.
Lucy took a drink from her glass, looking at Leah over the rim of her glass. Leah looking right back at her. It became quiet again but it didn’t feel awkward. “Hang on, you need another drink.”
“I do. It’s okay I’ll make them. Same again?”
Lucy handed Leah her glass. Fingers touching once again. “Please.”
An hour later and 3 more drinks in. The room was worm. Leah’s music was still playing. It felt like an intimate party between the pair of them. The girls were a lot more comfortable now. Lucy had taken off her suit jacket. Leah had taken off her heels. They were now sitting on the small sofa together. Their knees kept knocking and touching one another but nobody moved to give the other space. Both girls belly laughing over something Lucy said.
“And that’s why I don’t eat pickles anymore.”
Leah wiped a tear from her eye, and put her hand on Lucy’s thigh. “Oh my god. I can’t believe it. That’s so funny.”
For the 100th time that night, Lucy caught herself staring at Leah. She couldn’t believe this time 12 hours ago she was dreading being near the girl, and now she was cracking jokes with her.
“God, I can’t believe I’m actually sitting in Lucy Bronze’s hotel room at 1 in the morning.”
Lucy put her hand to her own chest and faked a gasp. “Sorry? What’s so wrong with being in my hotel room?”
Leah laughed. Her hand still on Lucy’s thigh. “No, not like that. I know a lot of girls that would kill to be me right now.”
Lucy snorted. “Nope, you’ve hurt me Leah. I’ve done nothing but help you today and this is what I get.”
Leah squeezed Lucy’s thigh, laughing. “No. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now. I swear.”
Lucy couldn’t help herself, her flirty smile came out to play. “Oh is that so? So you do want to be in my hotel room at 1 in the morning, are you one of the girls you’re talking about?” Lucy took a sip of her drink laughing in her glass.
“Maybe.” Leah bit her lower lip, before raising her own glass to her mouth, still giggling.
The girls were tipsy at this point, but not drunk. They knew what they were saying was dangerous but not enough to get them in trouble.
Lucy wasn’t going to stop the flirting, she liked this new dynamic between them. Lucy had been checking Leah out all night, and Leah wasn’t innocent either.
“I bet McCabe isn’t even in there. I bet you put that sock there. You just wanted to be in my room.” Lucy laughed.
Leah now faked a fake gasp. “Right, I’ll go then you clearly don’t want me in your room. I’ll see if she’s done.”
Leah went to sit up but Lucy grabbed her by her waist pulling her back down. “No, don’t go.”
She fell half on Lucy’s lap, half on the sofa, face on, half straddling Lucy’s thigh.
Both girls laughter slowed down. Lucy still had her arm around Leah. She slowly looked up, face to face with the blonde. She no longer looked like a deer in headlights but more like a cat that got its milk. The air became thick. They had been playing on the fine line of flirting most of the night and now she had Leah sitting in her lap.
Leah was the first one to lean forward. Lucy kept her eyes on Leah’s blue ones, and slowly lowered her eyes on Leah’s glossed lips. Licking her own subconsciously. The only other time Lucy had been this close to Leah’s face was at a match when things got heated. Now that took a whole other meaning.
Leah looked at Lucy for any kind of sign to stop. Lucy could feel it. She gave Leah the smallest of nods. The blonde closed the gap between their mouths slowly.
Leah’s mouth tasted like vanilla and mint, Lucy instantly loved the flavour. Leah’s lips felt so much softer than Lucy could have imagined, and she had imagined them a lot tonight. She let Leah control the pace of their movements. The younger girl moved back slightly, just inches away from Lucy’s mouth. “Is this okay? Are you drunk?”
“No, I’m fine, are you? Do you want to stop?”
“No, not drunk and I definitely don’t want to stop.
Lucy nodded, and leaned in to Leah’s lips, she was already missing the feeling of them. The blonde girl shifted her body so she could straddle Lucy properly.
Lucy snaked her hands up Leah’s now bare thighs, her dressed had hitched up to her waist, giving Lucy all the access she wanted.
Leah pushed herself forward and placed her hands behind Lucy’s head, pinning her to the sofa. The brunette squeezed Leah’s thighs causing her to gasp. Lucy took the opportunity to push her tongue deep into Leah’s mouth causing the younger girl to moan.
Lucy could feel Leah smiling into the kiss. Lucy had kissed a few girls in her time but there was something about kissing Leah that made her head spin, every move she made was perfect. She felt her tongue caressing her bottom lip, sucking it into her own mouth. Lucy could feel herself getting wet.
Leah had control over their movements with the position she was in. She started to grind her hips into Lucy’s, this time Lucy was the one to gasp. Leah began to kiss down the brunette's neck, Lucy was more than willing to let Leah take her as she pleased. She slowly kissed every inch of Lucy’s neck before she moved to her throat, sucking hard on one spot. Lucy’s eyes rolled to the back of her head, pleasure taking over her.
“Fuck, Leah.”
If Leah’s tongue felt this good on her neck imagine the other places she would feel better at. When Leah was happy with the mark she left on Lucy’s tanned skin she took one long lick, gliding her wet tongue up Lucy’s neck, gliding to her ear. Lucy’s hands squeezed Leah’s thighs again, not being able to control her movements.
Leah was loving the control she had over Lucy, Seeing the older girl melt for her just over her kissing was making her ego grow ten times over. Leah gasped from Lucy’s touch once again, her strong hands close to where she needed her most. She moved her hands from the sofa into Lucy’s dark hair, pulling her head back with a gentle tug. Giving her full access to her mouth.
Lucy easily let Leah control her. The blonde took the opportunity to lick into Lucy’s mouth. Lucy loved the movements Leah was doing with her tongue. Her hips grinded up into the blonde, Leah smiled down devilishly at Lucy.
Leah was dominating the kissing, Lucy’s head was spinning. She started to rub her thumbs dangerously close to Leah’s very wet underwear. Leah released Lucy’s hair and started to grind with more purpose, though she had nothing to grind on. Lucy could tell she was becoming frustrated, she glided her right hand up to Leah’s toned thigh. She felt the fabric of Leah’s underwear, she could tell it was lace straight away. Her personal favourite.
She lowered her hand right where Leah needed her, she could feel the heated damp patch between her legs. Leah let out a moan from the first touch. Lucy studied Leah’s face, she was even more beautiful up close. Leah started to grind on Lucy’s hand, trying to get any friction that she could find.
Lucy didn’t want to waste anymore time, she wanted to feel Leah, she pulled her underwear to the side and glided her fingers through Leah’s soaking wet lips. The younger girl let out a glorious moan, her hips grinding harder. Lucy couldn’t believe how wet Leah was already, it made her head grow 5 times the size. She glided her finger up to Leah’s clit, and gently back down, wanting to explore the girl above. “Someone’s wet.” Lucy’s voice was low and cocky.
Leah whimpered, hearing Lucy talk in her like this was sinful, hearing the teasing in her tone. Feeling Lucy touching every part of her sensitive flesh was driving her mad. Leah didn’t want to lose the control over their rhythm, she wanted to be the one in charge but that was slowly slipping.
“Tell me what you want.” Lucy was kissing Leah’s neck as her fingers kept playing with her velvet lips, slowly circling her clit every few seconds.
“I want you inside, fuck me. Please.”
Lucy’s fingers were soaked with Leah’s own juices. She slid a single finger in with no resistance. Fuck she felt good.
Leah moaned low into Lucy’s ear, the brunette was loving every second of hearing the girls moan. She added a second finger. Leah was tight, she could feel her pussy walls pulling her in. She started to pump, moving with Leah’s hips. It wasn’t the best position but she would make it work. The blonde was panting hard into her neck. Lucy thought Leah was beautiful before, but seeing her like this was something completely different. She looked like a work of art, a work of art getting fucked.
“Do you know how good you look Leah?”
She kept pumping. Leah lifted her head looking down at Lucy. Her muscular arms were on show, watching her flex from each stroke made Leah’s pussy walls flex, and Lucy could feet it.
Lucy snaked her other hand up to Leah’s thigh, moving past her thongs and straight to her swollen clit, making small circle motions. Leah’s mouth gapped open, Lucy couldn't but stare at the girl above in awe.
“Oh my god Lucy, don’t stop. You feel amazing. Don’t stop.”
Lucy didn’t once take her eyes off of Leah, she was mesmerised by the sight. She took a quick bite of Leah’s neck, causing Leah to whimper. “I got you Leah, I won’t stop. You feel so good, you’re so fucking tight.”
Leah loved Lucy’s words, she could feel her own legs shaking. She could feel she was close. She leaned down and kissed Lucy hard. She wanted to feel her lips when she came.
“Kiss me Luce, don’t stop kissing me.”
Lucy didn’t complain. She kissed Leah back just like she asked, she could feel Leah getting close, she didn’t once stop her movements.
Leah was feeling the glorious coil in her stomach. Lucy’s tongue was deep in her mouth, sucking on her tongue. Leah felt like she couldn’t breathe in the best way possible, she was surrounded by Lucy. She started to make short little gasps, her climax was just on the cusp. Leah took control of the kissing and sucked in Lucy’s tongue, causing the girl to moan in her mouth. It pushed her over the ledge she’d been sitting on all day.
Leah moaned loud as she came. Her pussy flexed against Lucy’s fingers, her body shook hard. Her mouth was still attached to Lucy’s lips. Lucy watched Leah like a hawk, making sure to follow every movement to help guide her orgasm.
Leah’s eyes were closed, she leaned her four head against Lucy’s, breathing hard. When she finally opened her eyes, she was met with dark green ones staring back at her. A shy smile crept on Leah’s face. Did that really just happen?
Lucy slowly pulled out of Leah, the blonde groaned from the loss. She sat back, on Lucy’s legs.
But Leah wasn’t done there. She took Lucy’s hand that had been in-between her legs, she saw her two fingers glistening with her juices. She slowly raised Lucy’s hand to her lips, gently kissing them with her swollen kissed lips. Lucy’s breathing quickened, she knew what Leah was going to do and she could feel herself getting wet.
Leah gently licked Lucy’s wet fingers, gliding her tongue, making sure Lucy could see every inch of what her tongue could do. Lucy didn’t blink. She didn’t want to miss a second of this. Watching Leah’s long tongue glide across her skin was magical.
“Fuck…” Lucy breathed out.
Leah slowly sucked in Lucy’s fingers, she was showing off for Lucy, she wanted to be the one in control. She was loving that Lucy looked like she was about to melt on the floor. She looked down at the brunette, she looked so fucking good, her once neat her was now tussled, her white vest top had ridden up just a bit so you could see the bottom of her abs. You could see her muscular stomach through the white vest top as she breathed. Leah was in a trance looking at the brunette.
She released Lucy’s fingers with a loud pop. She slowly climbed off her thighs and stepped back. She unclipped the back of her black dress, it fell to the floor around her feet.
Lucy’s mouth gapped open.
The brunette had seen glimpses of Leah’s stomach when on the pitch. She knew she had a stunning body but she’s always wondered what the rest of her looked like. The thing is Lucy had a little secret. She had crushed on Leah for a little while. It was a weird feeling to crush on your ‘enemy’ she brought out the best and worst parts of Lucy on the pitch, and it had caused Lucy to want to know the girl more. In many different ways. But to have Leah Williamson standing in front of you, in nothing but a pair of laced black thongs and a a see through bra to match, was breathtaking.
Leah sunk to her knees, in-between Lucy’s spread legs. She reached for Lucy’s trousers unbuttoning them, bitting her bottom lip. She tugged at Lucy’s trousers, trying to make a point that she needed them off. Lucy’s brain finally caught up. She stood up to remove her bottoms but Leah got there first. She slowly dragged her suit trousers down to her ankles, her girl boxers following right behind.
Lucy was wet.
Leah was proud.
She had Lucy Bronze, a woman that so many players looked up to. So many players were intimidated by, standing in front of her, soaking wet for her. Her chest swelled. She gently started kissing Lucy’s thighs, she could hear Lucy breathing above her. She guided Lucy to sit back on the sofa, she got herself comfortable in-between Lucy’s legs.
Lucy couldn’t believe the sight in front of her. Leah Williamson, on her knees for her. She was about to burst, she could feel her stomach tensing from anticipation. She had definitely imagined Leah like this a few times.
Leah kissed Lucy’s thighs some more, wanting to tease her just a little bit. She looked up to see Lucy looking flustered. Just what she wanted. Though, she was just as excited as Lucy for this moment, she didn’t want to wait anymore. Leah stroked her tongue right up to the crease at Lucy’s thigh. Lucy’s body jumped at the touch.
Leah leaned forward to Lucy’s lips, she could see her lips were coated in her juices. Leah’s own mouth watered.
Lucy could feel Leah breathing on her. The younger girl took a long, slow lick into Lucy’s cunt. She moaned at the taste. Her new favourite flavour. Lucys head fell back on the sofa. She was painfully turned on, her pussy was throbbing.
Lucy was more wet than Leah realised. Her tongue was met with her honey like juices. She swallowed the mouthful that gathered on her tongue. She couldn’t get over how good she tasted.
Leah lapped her up, wanting to feel every bit of Lucy on her tongue. The brunette was in heaven, it felt like Leah was on every inch of her. Caressing every spot.
Leah leaned back on her heels, Lucy’s juices still attached to her mouth, creating wet string between both Leah’s lips and Lucy’s lower lips. The blonde stuck out her tongue, greedily tasting Lucy’s juices, breaking the wet string attached to her wet mouth.
“You taste so good Luce. I could eat you out all night.”
Lucy could have came from the site alone, she hoped the image would burn in her brain.
Lucy let out a low chuckle, she brought her hands up to the blondes hair, she gently pushed some of her hair behind her ear. Leah couldn’t believe how delicate Lucy was being towards her, even in this position.
“I would gladly have you in-between my legs all night. Leah, you don’t know how good you like right now. On your knees for me. Do you know how beautiful you are?” Lucy’s voice was low and full of lust, but also sounded so loving.
Leah smiled at Lucy. She felt more bare than when she stripped. She kept her eyes on Lucy’s as she went back to her pussy. She traced her tongue into Lucy’s folds, she could feel the brunette getting wetter. Lucy slowly laced her hands into Leah’s hair. Leah moaned at the contact, she wanted to please Lucy so badly. She captured Lucy’s swollen clit into her mouth sucking it gently.
Lucy hissed in pleasure from the action. She wasn’t going to last long but she was shocked that she even got to this far. Her hips started to grind into Leah’s mouth, she gripped tighter onto Leah’s hair.
Leah was more than willing to let Lucy take control to reach her climax. Lucy’s breathing become rough, her hips kept grinding into Leah’s mouth. Her legs began to shake.
“Leah, ….Leah, I’m so close. Don’t stop. Your tongue feels so, so good!” Lucy nearly shouted the last words. She pushed Leah’s face deeper into her pussy, needing her exactly where she wanted her. Leah wasn’t going to stop, she would go all night if she could, well if Lucy would let her. She sucked and licked Lucy’s clit, loving every sound she pulled from the brunette.
“Fuuuck, I’m coming. Don’t stop!”
She came hard onto Leah’s tongue. Her head fell back against the sofa. Eyes closed. Leah continued her movements, she could feel Lucy’s juices flowing into her mouth. She never stopped.
She was still grinding into Leah’s mouth, ridding out her orgasm as much as she could. She could feel Leah’s tongue all over her cunt. She loved how good Leah was making her feel. She stopped her movements and slowly took her hands out of Leah’s hair she looked down at the girl in-between her legs. She had Lucy’s juices dripping down her chin. Her hair was disheveled. She looked beautiful.
Lucy leaned forward, cupping Leah’s chin. She couldn’t help but smile at her.
“That was amazing. You are amazing. Fuck.”
Leah felt herself blush. Lucy’s words did something to her.
“Thank you, you’re not too bad yourself.”
Lucy chuckled. She brought her hand from Leah’s chin into her hair and guided her to her mouth. She kissed Leah deeply, her tongue roaming hers. The kiss made Leah’s pussy throb.
“I’m gonna shower, do you wanna join me?”
Lucy voice was low.
“Yeah. That would be nice. Oh but I haven’t got any clothes to change into.”
Lucy gave Leah a lustful smile. “You won’t need any.”
Leah was definitely dripping now. She got up quickly and dragged Lucy towards the bathroom stripping off her remaining clothes as she did.

Okay, I obviously made the above post as a leetle joke, but since it's getting not insignificant traction, I do want to offer a more serious note.
I love this about Arthur. It's probably my favorite thing about him, but let me use this fresh new RDR2 meta post to clarify exactly what I mean. Despite the aspects of his personality & appearance that are traditionally hypermasculine, and despite how often he is annoyed with people (especially incompetents or people who meddle with his plans), Arthur is decidedly NOT annoyed by the social performance of femininity or by traits that are/were frequently stereotyped as feminine. Ever. Regardless of subject. I might go so far as to say he seems to canonically prefer hanging out with women and with "feminine" men.
Your long-winded, bullet-pointed analysis is below!
The Girls. Most noticeably, Arthur actually sits down to talk with and actively confides in the camp Girls (Tilly, Mary-Beth, Karen) more than anyone else around. These three are the most traditionally "girly" (single, 20s, active, pretty, unattached, highly social, feminine, chatty) members of the gang, though of course they are still criminals and don't perfectly adhere to all period-typical standards of feminine comportment. He doesn't mock the girls** like he sometimes does with other auxiliary members of the gang (like Uncle and Pearson, playful or not). Notably, he doesn't even gently tease Mary-Beth for writing her "silly" romance novels, a highly feminized hobby which she speaks about in a self-depreciating manner, much like Arthur speaks about his own artistic hobbies. Rather, he talks to her about writing like a peer and encourages her to write more by going out of his way to get her a nice pen. Crucially, there is no canon romantic or sexual interest in any of the girls on Arthur's behalf. He just feels the most comfortable in their company and seems to value their advice/opinions on life the most. To me, this is much stronger proof than his forever-burning torch for the cultured & ladylike Mary, which is (or was once) rooted in romantic desire. ** Unless the player persists in Antagonizing them, and these lines (while sometimes shockingly cruel and offhandedly sexual in nature; see Arthur teasing Tilly about pursuing Javier) are largely about goading them for laziness or, in Karen's case, her alcoholism. That said, many of the Antagonize lines strike me as clumsily tacked-on & poorly rooted in canon, which could indicate: (1) an Arthur who is deliberately trying to be disruptive (a generous interpretation), or (2) writers instructed to add throwaway content that will make a certain type of childishly misanthropic gamer (think 13 y.o. boys) squeal in glee with relatively low impact on the overall story.
Tumblr media
Campmates. Following the above point... who doesn't Arthur hang out with much? The manly men of the gang; the very people social mores suggest he ought to be hanging out with. Bill, Micah, Joe, Cleet, and even Dutch. (To some extent, this includes John and Sean, but I'd say John sort of lives at the edges of gang life anyway, and Sean is, well, Sean.) Conversely, which male gang members does Arthur hang out with a lot? Sweet little bookish Lenny, a wordy, positive-energy, breezy intellectual who has just barely become an adult. Introspective, soft-voiced, long-haired Charles, who is traditionally masculine by some standards (strong, usually calm, can be standoffish) but decidedly NOT so when his appearance/demeanor is judged by the white Christian American male standards that began to dominate masculinity concepts in the later decades of the 1800s.
Tumblr media
Algernon. Oh, my, Algernon. Arthur clearly dislikes Algernon's fancy, loud, outrageous clothing. But weirdly, he seems to like Algernon, not just tolerate him. Arthur in fact goes through significant personal discomfort to avoid hurting Algernon's feelings (the awful hat, the POST.MAN. sobbing), and he immediately says yes to having tea with him without any awareness of a coming business proposition, though half the time Arthur clearly has no fucking clue what Algernon is talking about. I am left to conclude that on some level, he just enjoys hearing Algernon talk, which is word-for-word what he says while listening to the Girls argue about romance novels ("I just like listening to you [all] talk." Hello????). I mean, for God's sake, he meets the man while he's choking to death on a nut at a fancy party, and the second thing Algernon does is tell him he looks like a guy who wears a corset. If anything was going to set off the boiling defensiveness of a dude who worships masculinity, thirty seconds with Algie would have done it.
Tumblr media
Margaret, Mistress of Fucking Danger. It's pretty clear Arthur doesn't like Margaret. But that has little to do with Margaret's femininity & cross-dressing (this doesn't faze him at all when Charles Châtenay does it; more on that below) and everything to do with Margaret's deceptiveness and highly selective memory. It's not until the bullshittery unveils itself that Arthur starts getting visibly pissed off at Margaret. Conversely, Arthur does seem more positively disposed toward Sally Nash. (That said, this quest has a lot of problems and poorly aged lines that are depressingly easy for a politically motivated jerkoff to soundbite and miscast as Rockstar being pro-bigot. Cue 800 heterobnoxious gamerbro ARTHUR MORGAN ULTIMATE ANTI SNOWFLAKE SIGMA MALE OF THE WEST YouTube videos.)
Tumblr media
Albert, my beloved. Rather than goading him to man up, Arthur tries to persuade Albert (whom he very obviously likes) to pick safer animal photography subjects, e.g. horses, and doesn't insult him for his lack of wilderness knowledge (an aspect of traditional manliness that is highly relevant to Arthur's lifestyle). You'd think he would tear into him for this shortcoming, given that they share so many of the same interests and passions, and IMO his genuine eagerness to serve as Albert's protector and facilitate his art is highly convincing evidence that Arthur does not necessarily view masculinity as a net positive.
Tumblr media
Arthur is a basic goddamn boyfriend-hater. He pretty much harshly disapproves of every husband, boyfriend, male partner, etc. in the game and is very, very vocal about it... except one extremely unlikely candidate: Beau Gray. Weak, dandy artist Beau Gray, whom Arthur takes one look at and promptly hands the only gun to Penelope. Arthur is curt and impish to Beau at times, but helps him in his relationship troubles willingly (without collecting repayment), and seemingly for no other reason than the fact he can see that soft, fearful Beau is genuinely head-over-heels in love with Penelope. Is he projecting his own young love for Mary onto them? Maybe/probably, but Beau could not possibly be more different from young Arthur, and Arthur seems to believe this difference will make him a good husband for Penelope. A good husband, in Arthur's view, seems to simply be a man who ardently loves his beloved, regardless of his ability to provide for/protect her, and whose only goal in life is to live that life at her side. This is completely antithetical to mainstream late-1800s views on what constitutes a good husband and what it means to be a man.
Tumblr media
Châtenay. Arthur shows us some of the most obvious delight and mirth he experiences in the game when he's hanging out with Charles "Allo Boys" Châtenay, who is straight up in drag a third of that time. This baffles Arthur a little, but doesn't disgust or repel him. I've written about this mission elsewhere at greater length because it is one of my favorite disasters, but it's worth mentioning here too.
Tumblr media
Trelawny. Arthur clearly enjoys Trelawny despite his grumbly claims to the contrary. Most of these "claims" are just Arthur's established way of affectionate teasing (he does much the same with Uncle and Pearson, both of whom he genuinely likes). His authentic gripes about Trelawny are all about a perceived flightiness/lack of loyalty to the gang, not about his flamboyance. And even these gripes are half-assed, in Arthur's usual way.
Tumblr media
Bluegills & Daisy Chains. One of the most genuine moments of softness we have with Arthur in RDR2 is when he takes Little Jack out of the camp to go fishing. Arthur's usually a much truer version of himself when he doesn't have to play the Big Bad Gang Lieutenant role, but this moment of escape is especially important, and not just because Arthur reveals his fondness for children and his natural understanding of how to talk to them. I notice this: Arthur tries to gently teach Jack about fishing, and Jack is completely fucking uninterested. Jack prefers to make flower chains for his mommy. Arthur doesn't scold him for his drifting attention or his lack of attraction to masculine past-times; on the contrary, Arthur goes out of his way to encourage and protect Jack's natural sweetness and innocence. That's a wild stance for a murdering outlaw to have re: the "next generation" of his family. Hell, I've encountered far too many 21st century dads in my own family who flip their shit when their tiny sons prefer hanging out with women & partaking in "womanly" hobbies like art, cooking, and flowers rather than hunting and fishing.
Tumblr media
"...and be a god damn man." This seems like classic masculine bluster on the surface, but what does this keynote line mean in the context in which Arthur says it? Well, it's complicated. This statement serves as (a) Arthur's goodbye to John, (b) Arthur's final call to action for John, and (c) Arthur's last wish for his brother's life. But it certainly does not mean standing and fighting or being tough; i.e., "dying like a man." In that moment, it means abandoning all masculine bluster and revenge fantasy, and running away: leaving violence and fighting and brotherhood and all that crap behind to simply be there (alive, present) for your wife and son.
Tumblr media
The Best Women People. Who are the best people Arthur knows, by his own crystal-clear declaration? Abigail and Sadie. Sadie's a rough-and-tumble, super-violent gunslinger and Abigail's a stubborn thief & a former sex worker (in the time Arthur has known her), but they are also, critically, two wives: the most traditional feminine role for a woman of the time period (and indeed perhaps most of human history once the concept of "wife" subsumed that of "mother"). It's also important to note that Arthur doesn't truly give up on Dutch until Dutch abandons Abigail, which serves as Arthur's point of no return. The other men left in the gang at this point specifically note that she's "just a woman" and not worth going back for. Arthur is straight-up shocked by all of this; he obviously considers her among the most worthwhile and value-having members of the gang, and certainly one of the most core members of the gang. Without any hesitation or doubt, the instant it's clear Dutch is cutting Abigail loose, Arthur declares: "That's that, then."
Tumblr media
tl;dr: Arthur unironically prefers hanging out with women and queens and I love that for them.

The evening was dark and relatively cool when the small pling from her mobile phone made the eighteen-year-old look up. Glancing up from her homework and books, she picked up her phone and typed on the small screen.
It was a message from one of her friends. Party at the barn.Stabathon-free alcohol come over she read the message and sighed slightly. Not that she wouldn't want to come. But the exam period was coming up and a party compared to the anger of her parents would be something she wanted to avoid.
On the other hand, a little fun and a little alcohol would be a deliberate distraction. And the old, big barn was not too far away. A short drive. A little fun never hurt she thought and decided to finish the sentence before changing.
The thought did cross her mind because of the murders that had been committed in the last few days. Actually, her parents had hung up an exit spear after eight o'clock in the evening. But she thought this was a bit exaggerated.
Uncertainty lay in her gaze as she looked at herself in the mirror. There are still other people here, said this little voice calling for a party. Suddenly the doubts were gone and the fun was there. She looked at herself again in the mirror a loose outfit not uncomfortable but not a looker either.
Simple and appropriate for a horror party. With another pling on her mobile phone she picked it up. Charlie is here too ;) she read the little extra message and a smile flitted across her lips. Charlie Walker, the acknowledged nerd of the group, film club leader and her crush.
Ever since she had seen him at Woodsboroo high school she couldn't get away from him. His friendly, cheerful manner when he talked about movies. How much he knew about movies, his whole being attracted her. Only the glow in his blue eyes when Kirby even spoke to him was something she noticed.
Kirby Reed she knew, no everyone knew that Charlie had a thing for the blonde. He seemed to be attached to her like a dog. She's just using him she thought after hearing this herself as the girls walked by. She knew the girls only briefly, most of all she had to do with Jill.
They had been assigned to several school projects together and even then they got along quite well. But now that she was already going to a party where Charlie was and not Kirby, she could take advantage of the situation. Maybe he'll notice me she hoped and opened her wardrobe again.
She had tried on everything from her normal everyday clothes to her pyjamas and communion dress. All except two things. ,,This is a bit extreme," she muttered and took the short leather skirt and the loose blood-red blouse out of the wardrobe. Holding the two items up, she pondered for a moment. ,,So what?" she decided and put on the clothes she had once bought for Halloween as a joke.
At that time she wanted to go as a hooker with all her friends just for fun. Teenage fantasy she thought and smiled as she turned in front of the mirror. The clothes just looked a lot better than they did a few years ago. It accentuated her curves, her legs were visible all the way up her thighs.
The red blouse made her décolletage clear. He's going to notice me she thought resolutely and grabbed her leather jacket before grabbing her mobile phone and car keys. Walking out of her room, she listened in on the house. She heard the sound of the television downstairs in the living room. A good sign.
Creeping slowly down the stairs, she peeked around the corner into the living room. Both asleep she thought happily as she heard her father snoring lightly and her mother snuggled up to him. Creeping along, she took the black high heels before taking her car key from the small key bowl and opening the door.
Pulling it quietly behind her, she hurried to her car and got in. ,,Done" she muttered in relief and started the engine before driving off towards Stabathon. The drive didn't take long - she was on the road for about ten minutes before she heard the relatively loud noises.
Parking the car, stuffing the key in her jacket pocket to her handy she headed for the barn. This looks good she thought and grinned when she saw all the decorations and slightly dressed up people. Even though her outfit definitely stood out from the others.
She didn't have a knife stuck in her chest, or a ghostface mask, or even the jacket of her football team. She was dressed relatively inconspicuously for the party. She tried to find her boyfriend but gave up after a few minutes.
Too many people with too many of the same costumes and too much alcohol. Looking around she finally found the bar with the drinks.
Heading for it, she found the alcohol in a large glass bowl before grabbing one of the red plastic cups. ,,Y/n the best animatress of our film club in her gorgeous outfit" she suddenly heard a voice next to her and jerked around. ,,You scared me Robbie," she said, shaking her head slightly.
Robbie was the second boss of the film club and Charlie's best friend. She knew he was recording her and it was being streamed live. ,,Don't do that," she said, taking the first sip of alcohol as he looked her up and down with his camera for the third time.
Defensively, he raised his hands and chuckled. ,,What? It's not often you come out like that, a real beauty," he said, but quickly fell silent as he heard the warning look from his classmate. ,,Thanks Robbie, you really are a gentleman" she said rolling her eyes and swearing inwardly. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to come here after all.
She took another sip of the drink and was about to leave when Robbie walked around her and cut her off. ,,Sorry, I didn't mean that, come on, let me get you a VIP seat," he said with a smile and pointed to the stage. Nodding, she followed him and quickly arrived at a ladder leading to the upper area. ,,Are you serious straw?" she asked and took one of the stalks between her hands.
Before she threw it at him, which Robbie returned with a roll of his eyes. ,,No, go up and sit or stand on the railing so you can see everything," he said, seeming slightly excited as he looked at his watch. ,,Thanks" she murmured as he left to start the welcoming speech before she made her way upstairs. He's right, she thought, leaning against the wooden railing where she could see everything. A small smile flitted across her lips as she listened to their speech, paying more attention to Charlie than anything else.
Regardless, she took another sip of the alcohol and looked at the first staff for a while. Before she suddenly heard a creaking behind her. The creaking of wood, someone coming towards her. She put the cup down on the railing and spun around. She was already prepared for a prank in the worst case scenario.
To her surprise Charlie showed up. ,,Hi Charlie," she said, slightly surprised, and smiled at him. He was leaning against one of the stacked bales of straw. The white button-up shirt clung loosely to his torso. The grey shirt underneath which was slightly visible through the slightly open collar.
The long brown hair that always looked so soft to her. Almost fluffy. The small smile on his lips and the piercing look of his blue eyes. He was perfect. ,,Hey, I didn't think you were coming," he said, walking up to her before standing next to her.
She felt how nervous she was, how fast her heart suddenly beat, her fingers tangled in her skirt and she stared at him. ,,Yeah, me neither...well a friend texted me to come" she admitted and quickly looked away as he looked from the film to her.
In the corner of her eye, she saw his eyes pass over her form. He's looking at me, she thought excitedly and grinned slightly. ,,You think this stabbing is so funny?" he asked with an amused tone in his voice when he saw her smile. Protectively she put her hands up slightly, ,,No...I um just had to think of a joke" she said hastily and would have preferred to sink into the ground. He nodded slightly in disbelief and turned back to the film.
She continued to watch him and felt almost stupid after five minutes of endless waiting. Do something she urged herself, because one thing she couldn't do was flirt. Or even make a real move. She had once asked him if she should stay for the break to help with the club, or have a coffee. She had even asked him for homework, but at the last moment she withdrew her book with the note for a meeting.
The idea came from Jill and not even from her. ,,Hey, I've got to get back to Robbie's for the next film, see you later," he said suddenly, pushing himself slightly off the railing. ,,Um, yeah, have fun," she mumbled and would have liked to push herself down.
He had just disappeared behind the bales of straw and she was already thinking about finishing the alcohol before she plunged down when he suddenly reappeared. ,,Hey, if you're up for a little party at Kirby's house, why don't you come?" he said hurriedly and she called after him with a ,,I will, thank you!". It's at Kirby's...but he invited me she thought happily and decided to go in search of her friends again. Not knowing that the evening would be all the more exciting.
Not only had Gale turned up, but the real Ghostface and the sheriff were all here. But when the first shot was fired by Dewie, she had run outside with the crowd for fear of being arrested.
As well as becoming another victim of Ghostface. ,,What a night," she muttered as she started the engine and drove down the road to Kirby. Parking the car and getting out, she saw the lights on in the house. They must have left earlier she thought, her high heels clicking lightly on the street before she went inside.
The door was open. But after only a few steps inside she heard voices and a slight relief spread. ,,You knew the door was open, didn't you?" she asked as she walked in and looked into the faces of Robbie, Kirby, Jill and Charlie. Only the latter gave her a small smile. Almost as if he was relieved that she was here.
But she could have imagined that. ,,Y/n, what are you doing here?" Jill asked in surprise and stood up before pulling the other into a light hug. ,,Charlie invited me," she answered briefly and Robbie handed her a bottle of high-proof alcohol. ,,Drink to the survival of my masterpiece," the camera man ordered and she took a light sip. ,,Whatever I invited you...we're watching Stab Seven now," Charlie announced and took care of the film.
Jill sat back on the couch next to Kirby who hadn't said a word to the new girl. Robbie moved a few feet away to the kitchen and continued to complain, mumbling. And Y/n sat down on the left, on the other side of Charlie.
Not that she didn't want to be with him, but Kirby seemed to be looking at her with a look she knew too well. Get out of here, the blonde seemed to say. As best she could, she tried to ignore the look and took a few more sips of the alcohol.
A few minutes had passed and Stab was in full swing when she slowly felt the warmth in her body. She was not drunk if at all slightly tipsy but the warmth told her she had had enough for now.
Putting the bottle on the table, she took off her leather jacket and her red blouse stood out as an eye-catcher. ,,Someone has made herself pretty," she suddenly heard Kirby say. The blonde looked at her carefully and smiled charmingly. But there was annoyance in her eyes. ,,So what?" she asked back and raised an eyebrow before standing up.
Grabbing the bottle, she took another step towards Kirby. ,,Nothing...nothing the question is for whom?" she probed further and Y/n became more uncomfortable by the second. She didn't like the way the evening was going. ,,For no one but me," she countered and walked past the blonde to hand Robbie the bottle and grab a glass of water.
Walking back she just saw a shadow coming from the right before she bumped into someone coming in with firm steps. ,,Ouch...Trevor?" she said as she stumbled back slightly from the force of the older and taller man. Surprise showed on everyone's faces as the one they didn't think was coming appeared. ,,Great" she muttered and looked at the stain of water on her blouse.
Right in the area of her bust and the black lace of her bra pressed against it. ,,The bathroom is upstairs," Robbie said, averting his gaze from her and his camera. ,,Peeping Tom" Y/n muttered, slightly annoyed, and went up the stairs. A few moments later she heard Jill leaving with Trevor, looking for her mobile phone, and Robbie going out onto the terrace. Only Kirby and Charlie stayed behind.
Finding herself in a house and hallway with endless doors, she was baffled. ,,Just great" she mumbled before sighing and opening one door after the other which seemed to take forever. How rich is she? she asked herself when she found the third guest room and the second walk-in wardrobe. Before she finally found the bathroom with another door. Turning on the light she grabbed one of the towels and tried to dry it somehow.
She wanted to avoid walking around in a visible bra all evening. Taking the towel off her clothes, the stain had only receded slightly. Sighing, she looked at herself in the mirror. Her bra was still slightly visible on closer inspection, but otherwise it was fine.
Leaning on the sink, she ran her hand through her hair. Did he even look at me? she asked herself and decided to go back downstairs. The evening was not over yet, even though she could hardly hear any sounds coming from downstairs. Walking down the corridor she suddenly heard a creaking sound like a door.
Looking around, she saw that a door to the guest room was slightly open. Did Jill go in there? she asked herself and decided to check. She hoped it was Jill or just a pet and not a stupid prank by Kirby.
That was the last thing she wanted. She opened the door a little wider and slipped inside before taking a few steps inside and standing in the middle of the room. ,,Hello?" she asked into the darkness but got no answer.
Suddenly the light from the bedside lamp came on and gave the room a slight orange tint. Not bright enough to dazzle but not too dark to see anything. Only the shadows of the furniture and things seemed more threatening.
She had flinched and scurried around as the door closed and suddenly Charlie was leaning against the door, causing it to close. ,,Charlie...you scared me," she said, grabbing her upper body before a small unsmiling smile came to her lips. ,,Is everything all right? It's pretty quiet down there?" she asked and took a step towards him. For the first time, however, it seemed that something had changed in him. His gaze remained on her, not avoiding her, and there was no Kirby in his blue eyes.
He seemed to be looking only at her. An engaging feeling, she found. ,,Everything is fine, Jill is outside with Trevor. Robbie is on the terrace recording and Kirby...she's asleep on the couch" he said after a short silence and walked away from the door with a click. Did he lock it? the question entered her head, but she could have imagined the click. ,,That's good...and you?" she asked and continued to look at him. Her heart seemed to have never beaten so fast as she realised how close they were.
Alone together in a room. No party, no friends, no Kirby, just her and Charlie. ,,Oh, I just wanted to check on you, I was worried, you know? You can't be too careful about the killer, can you?" he asked and slowly approached her. The question took her slightly by surprise.
Ghostface. She had been aware of him. But she as a victim. Why? Because she drew for the film club, read books and had a crush? No, she wouldn't be a victim. ,,That's true, but if he's really copying the original murders, then well, I'm not a suitable victim, I don't have a role in all this," she said, gesturing around her as if the others were here.
An amused chuckle crossed his lips as his blue eyes continued to look at her. ,,Are you sure? I mean the killer could also think of something new...something unexpected" he said and took another step towards her.
He was standing in front of her now, looking at her and not seeming to want to let her go. Her heart seemed to jump out of her chest as she looked into his eyes. ,,And what?" she dared to ask as she felt him twirl a strand of her hair between his fingers. Her heart beat even faster.
His look was amused, almost pleased with himself. As if he had accomplished something. Something important. ,,A move," she heard him say before he came closer and closer before kissing her. She felt his other hand on her hip, pulling her slightly closer. She sighed and her hands went to his torso.
He was gentle and careful she was uncertain and reluctant. It was apparently the first kiss for both of them. But it was incredible. Her heart was full of love. She had closed her eyes but noticed the small smile on his lips when he broke away. Through the light he seemed to tower over her even more.
As if his shadow enveloped and covered her. Enchanting her and keeping her close. It was a pleasant feeling, there was only the two of them. She saw the small blush on his cheeks as he carefully let a hand wander over her breast. ,,Oh man," he murmured as he squeezed gently and she couldn't help but smile.
He was completely fascinated by the new feeling and she felt herself falling for him more and more. Dare said her inner voice and she reached for his other hand and brought it to her lips before giving it a soft kiss and placing it on her other breast. ,,That's wow - I mean, am-am I hurting you?" he asked suddenly, almost startled as he seemed to sense her brief shudder.
It was true that she was as good as inexperienced in the area of intimacy. At least as far as contact with twits was concerned, but now there was no better chance. She leaned forward and gave him another gentle kiss.
Before she told him, ,,No...please go on, it feels good," even though she also felt the warmth on her cheeks. They both seemed to have to overcome their insecurity little by little. With caution and uncertainty. She felt him deepen the kiss and his hands continued to run over her body. Exploring every inch and yet with a caution. With a caution almost out of fear of hurting her or out of rejection.
She noticed how he detached himself from her and his gaze went to the guest bed. Suddenly she realised what he meant but the uncertainty she had felt was almost gone. Instead, she felt comfortable, comfortable with the thought of what it could lead to.
Nodding slightly, she took his hand and he led her to the bed. Standing in front of it, he engaged her in another kiss just as he was about to say something. ,,I-" she started before suddenly a clang and a scream could be heard from below. ,,What was that?" she immediately asked in alarm and looked at Charlie who was looking at the door.
Walking past Charlie, she wanted to look outside. ,,If it's Jill, then-" she couldn't get any further when a hand suddenly came down on hers and he gently but firmly pulled her back. ,,It's only Kirby, she must have dropped a bottle," she heard him say, but his voice seemed to have almost changed.
The tone of lightness was gone. It seemed almost commanding, controlling. He's going to keep me here, she thought, feeling her heart beat fast.
But whether out of love or slight fear, she couldn't tell. ,,Are you sure? I mean, there's a murderer on the loose here," she admitted to her concerns and she flinched in surprise when she felt his lips on her neck. He laughed lightly. ,,It's a good thing we're together," he whispered and he seemed different.
As if his nice, friendly, almost sometimes retiring manner was to some extent an act. She felt him continue to spread kisses greedily and needily on her neck. His hands ran lightly over her breasts and he traced the lace of her bra. Goosebumps spread over her body.
A pleasant feeling. As if he was hiding behind something, knowing that he knew something. That he knew something she didn't. ,,Yeah...but here," she stated a little uncertainly and gently pushed him away from her. She knew that maybe it was a one-time moment and yet something inside her told her that something was wrong.
But what? She looked at him again. His eyes seemed darker, still blue, but the good seemed to be gone. His gaze held hers as if he was proud. But proud of what? ,,Are you sure everything is alright with Kirby?" she asked, trying to read his reaction. To her surprise, he almost sighed in annoyance. As if the talking was annoying him and he wasn't nervous at all.
As if he saw it as annoying. ,,The bitch is fine!," he said suddenly, upset but full of resentment. What happened? she asked herself again as she realised that something was definitely wrong. But he immediately realised his mistake as the girl took a step back. Away from him, back away from him. Out of fear. ,,Charlie...what have you done?" she dared to ask and her hands clawed at her skirt in fear of the truth.
Defensively he raised his hands and came towards her trying to explain himself but stopped when she pointed at his shirt. ,,Is-Is...that blood?" she asked, slightly afraid when she finally noticed the small dark spot on his white shirt. Astonishment was in his eyes as he wiped his fingers over the stain.
She saw him lick the substance from his fingers and an uncomfortable shiver came over her. ,,You-you are", ,,Ghostface" he finished her sentence before a knife bored into the wall next to her head, blocking her way. A short cry escaped her lips. Fear had a grip on her, devastating fear. Fear of dying, fear of being hurt. Fear of him in a mix of attraction.
It was scary. ,,Please Charlie," she tried, but whimpered as she felt his fingers brushing against the strands of her hair again. ,,Do you know how long I have waited for this moment?" he asked and seemed to be waiting for her answer.
But he didn't get it and only an anxious shake of the head. ,,No? Well, let's say long enough to know that you're just like me," he said with a happiness that couldn't have been more inappropriate. Not when the cold steel of the knife next to her head could still mean her death. ,,I didn't kill anyone," she dared to say, wincing as he laughed and his eyes darted briefly to the knife.
As if he were weighing when he would kill her. ,,Oh no, I don't mean that... no, I mean our kind, our feelings, you know? I mean we were both just too shy to talk to each other all the time" he explained what he meant and slowly she understood. Slowly she understood him.
Slowly she realised that her crush was a crazy serial killer who had wanted her as an honourary victim all along. She had been the victim for months. ,,And now you're going to kill me?" she asked, looking back from the knife into his eyes. Again he smirked and seemed to enjoy it.
Enjoying having the confidence, enjoying having something and not just being a plaything. He let go of her hairline and his hand moved carefully, almost shyly, over the warm skin of her neck.
Before he lingered there and slowly and gently put his hand around her neck. ,,No, no I would never kill you. Not like Kirby, that fucking bitch...I just didn't want to believe it until now. And now we finally have each other" he began to whisper softly, audible only to them both.
But clearly understandable. Has he had this side all this time? she asked herself, seeming to see this side of pent-up anger, hatred, disappointment and all the emotions only rarely if ever for the first time. And it fascinated her to a small extent inside.
Fascinated and frightened her. ,,I-I...was always afraid that you would never look at me," she suddenly admitted. For fear that they would be her last words. For fear of never having confessed to him. ,,I have always seen you, my precious girl" he murmured and gave her a soft chaste kiss on her lips.
As if he was going back to his old self for a moment. ,,What did you want to say to me earlier?" the question seemed to come back to his mind. But there was a certain impulse in his eyes. As if he was afraid of getting the wrong answer. As if he was afraid that she had even played with him. Suddenly the grip around her neck became slightly stronger.
Not strong enough to cut off her air but enough to give her a warning before he picked up the knife again. ,,I-I wanted to say that I...love you," she admitted. They just looked at each other for a moment. For a moment in which he seemed to be weighing whether he could trust her.
A moment in which she decided whether she could trust him. A moment was enough before he pulled the knife out of the wall and kissed her. The metal clanked to the floor, but it was nothing. It didn't matter that he was Ghostface, it didn't matter that she was actually afraid.
It was the realisation that they loved each other that penetrated them both and made them forget their situation for a moment. ,,I love you too" she heard him say and it was the first time in the night that she felt hope next to fear. Hope that when all this was over she had a chance at love with Charlie. A chance that everything would turn out well.
Because she knew if she didn't make it out of here he would keep her for himself. Because underneath his friendly, cute, nerdy exterior, he was a hurt, scared, insecure serial killer who found redemption in her. And they both seemed to know that she could give him love.
The love to forgive him for what he had done. She was his and whether she wanted to or not he would not let her go. His sweet, dear, beautiful light of hope. No she would never leave him. He would make sure of that.

Ok, I have absolutely no idea if this is how I send requests or not (I’m new to this and technically, you’re my first person I’ve ever sent a submission to. So I apologize in advance if this isn’t where I’m supposed to ask-) anyways, I was wondering if you’re still taking requests and if you are, do you mind writing for thrawn? 🥺
I am obsessed and I can’t get this man out of my head 😵‍💫
Anyways here’s what I’m thinking-
Reader is an agent/captain (preferably female) and she works on the Chimaera and is known as the joking type. Very expressive (both in her facial expressions and in her voice) if someone says smt stupid she’s gonna make a face. Doesn’t really care about anyone’s opinion, but is very nice towards people.
She made friends with kallus and pryce. When we catch thrawns attention (being that we have a humorous personality), but are also very eager to learn from him. Whenever he starts talking about his plans or the benefits of art she’s always asking questions. (Not in a disagreement or disrespectful manner, but in a curious one)
So the admiral likes us, but then someone takes an unnecessary liking towards us (cough cough- constantin-) and no matter how blunt we make it that we aren’t interested, he just can’t seem to take the hint. Us being who we are, we don’t want anyone else to interfere in the matter cause we can handle it ourselves (aka kallus or pryce ask if we need help or if they can do something but the readers got it all under the bag and reassuring them) but one day it’s gotten kinda out of hand and thrawn sees how pushy constantin is being and he does interfere, shutting him down immediately. After that, he’s kinda more protective around us. Makes it so that are duties circulated more around his. And we start to form a bond with him.
Maybe something where kallus and pryce are teasing us about it (and maybe a confession from the reader 😳) when all of the sudden we realize that thrawn was listening in and he takes the reader aside and makes it clear that he fancies us as well?
I don’t care if you wanna end it with fluff, but is certainly wouldn’t mind if you go hardcore and make it a spicy ending 🥵 I just really want something like this and haven’t really found anything that scratches the itch! 🤣
Sorry if this is kinda long (and detailed) like I said you are my first ever submission..😅
P.s. Love your work so far, you’re doing amazing!❤️
Thank you so much dear ❤️ You did well, don't worry
I compressed the timeline a bit, but it is close enough of what you asked. I hope you like it!

“So?” Arhinda asks with gleaming in the eyes “You and Thrawn? You seem quite close lately, he took you under his wing?”
“Oh no, it’s rather me who harasses him.” you laugh..
You appreciate this quiet moment with your friend, she rarely comes on the Chimaera lately. Next to her Alexsandr walks with you in silence, focused on his datapad.
“I’m constantly glued to him for him to teach me.”
Arhinda raises an eyebrow, she doesn’t seem convinced.
“Whatever you say, I just noticed he seems to ask your opinion quite a lot lately. And me who thought he was a frozen ice cube, he might have more games than I first anticipated.”
You tuts.
“No, he’s simply patient with people who want to learn.”
“Yeah, I doubt it too,” Alexsandrs raises his gaze from his pad, “he asks you to his office quite a lot. He may have an ulterior motive with you.” he teases you with a smirk.
“Well! I wouldn’t mind, he’s exactly my taste, he looks like a whole meal to me!” you joke along.
Like you got a chance with the Grand Admiral, yeah! He’s untouchable and above all that. But it is true you would not mind, you would gladly bite into that treat of a man.
They exchange a gaze.
“Oh Maker, she’s blind.” Arhinda sighs.
You wince at her.
“I’m simply a realist.”
“It’s a shame, the cold stern one and the jokester are a popular trope in movies, no?” Alexsandr ponders.
“Only in duds, Alexs! But you seem the type to be familiar with that genre.” you tease back.
“Ah! Captain (f/n)!” you hear an unpleasant, well too known voice.
Away from you you see Admiral Konstantin walk towards you with long strides and a large smile. Not him again…
“You want us to stay?” Alexs asks.
“No,” you sigh “You can go, I’ll handle it.”
“You’re sure?” Arhinda insists.
“Yes, I’m a big girl! Do not worry about me.” You say with a reassuring smile, walking away from them, closing the distance with Konstantine.
It’s been like what? 3 times you told this guy to fuck off? But he’s dunce like a rock, never taking the hint.
“Captain (f/n)! I am very happy to see you.” He exclaims, rubbing his gloved hands. “I just heard a marvelous news.”
“Oh really, Admiral? Please don’t make me wait.” you try to smile joyfully, but he gots the talent to suck up your energy.
“We’ve been announced on the same mission together, isn’t it wonderful?”
You bite your cheek
“It’s… Incredible news. Does that mean you’re gonna let me take the lead on the mission?” you ask, knowing full well a captain never leads when an admiral is present.
“Letting you lead? No.” he laughs “But that would give us plenty of time to… discuss.”
Yurk.
“Discuss about what? The weather in space?”
“You know the weather is always the same in space.”
“Yes I…” He’s he really that dunce? “I was making a bit of humour…”
“Oh!” he explodes laughing “I like you Captain (f/n)! You are funny!”
You smile, completely on edge, how this man became an admiral again? Not by being smart, that’s for sure. He passes his arm around your shoulder, pressing you against him and you tense up immediately, you’re maybe a jokester but you’re not familiar for all that.
“Please don’t do that.”
He sniffs the air, ignoring your comment.
“You smile divine, do you know that?”
Yes you know, you bought your perfume a real fortune, but if it elicits this kind of behavior you won’t hesitate to throw it across space.
“Yes I know. You don’t need to come this close to scent it.” you bite back.
Then to your utmost horror, he buries his nose in your neck to scent it.
You’re about to send him flying against the consoles when a voice raises behind your backs.
“Admiral Konstantine! What have I said about fraternization of my ships?”
You turn your head to your impromptu savior to meet a red gaze and beautiful blue skin.
Thrawn approaches with his hands behind his back and a hard gaze.
“Oh, Grand Amiral. I’m, huh…” Konstantin really looks caught off guard “I thought you were still in your office.”
“Release my captain at once.”
“Yes, Grand Admiral.” He smiles, truly not sorry to have overstepped your boundaries. He looks at Thrawn to find masculine complicity but he only finds ice, to your pleasure. “I was just… She’s cool with it, I was just trying to install a more friendly ambiance.”
Thrawn raises his brow, unconvinced. Konstantin releases you and you immediately step on the side, letting him alone in the blast zone. Thrawn takes one step towards him, towering him with all his height, forcing Konstantine to look up to him. He shoots him with his gaze.
“I do not want to hear you pathetic excuses and you should learn to treat your female counterparts with respect. I want none of that on my ships, am I clear?”
“I… Yes, sir.” Konstantine lowers his head submissively.
“Present your excuses to the Captain and return to your post immediately.”
Konstantine wince turning to you, clearly displeased to let his eye candy escapes him.
“I am sorry Captain. My behavior was inappropriate?”
“Indeed it was very much, Admiral.” You say with a big unapologetic smile.
You wave him goodbye as he walks away rapidly.
“Are you okay?” Thrawn asks lowly.
“Yes! Thank you Grand Admiral, I almost sent him flying but you intervened just in time.”
“Glad to hear it. Those behaviors are simply unacceptable, do not hesitate to come to me directly if it happens again.” He looks at you softly.
You nudge him.
“With you at my side I am sure he would not dare!”
He looks at you with a frown and you wonder if you crossed the line with him.
But he instantly relaxes.
“This is the effect I am counting on. Come to me if you meet any difficulties.”
“Sir, yes sir!” You salute him with your signature smile and he nods.
“I am counting on you to bring me the datacards tonight again.” And he walks away
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“And then?!” Arhinda asks on the edge of her seat.
“And then nothing, he walked away.” you explain, munching on your dish.
She looks disappointed, her shoulders lowered.
“She omits to say he keeps her at his side at all times now.” Alexs interjects.
“No, not really.” you temper. “He’s just protecting me from Konstantin.”
“So he keeps her at his side all the time.” He concludes.
“You’re exaggerating.”
“And you are completely blind, as always. From an exterior point of view it is evident.”
Wait.” Arindha intervenes “What do you mean he keeps her at his side now?”
“She has been upgraded to his personal secretary.”
“I am merely helping him sort some files.”
“Yes, we got droids and algorithms to do that.”
“He likes to do it manually.”
“And he needs a tier party help for that? I don’t think so.”
“Wait, you’re telling me that they spent all their evening for the last four months together alone?” Arhinda asks him
“Yes.”
“It is less saucy than that.” You explain. What if they ascribe him intentions? Thrawn has been nothing but respectful and helpful to you. “Maybe he is just preparing me for my next promotion?”
“Your promotion to his bed?”
You slap Alexs’s hands with a grimace, he’s so silly sometimes.
“I don’t remember him doing that much to prepare Faro for commandment.” Arhinda recalls
“Because he didn’t.” Alexs shakes his head.
“But what about you? How does that make you feel?” Arhinda turns back to you.
“It’s nice.” you remain succinct.
“What I love about you it’s the abundance of details.” she snarls.
You pull out your tongue to her.
“Well, it's… Great? I like being with him, he’s respectful.”
They both look at you, awaiting for the juicy details.
“There is nothing to say guys, really.” you defend yourself.
“So you didn’t try anything? You remained a pretty doll in his office, never tempting your chance?” Arhinda chokes.
Alexs sighs.
“I told you she was blind, but I didn’t know she was also impotent.”
“Oh come one guys! Place yourself in my shoes, I am intimidated, okay?” You bite into your meat. “He’s really… something else. I am always on edge in his presence. It’s hard being all alone with him in a room.”
“And you didn’t crack some jokes to ease the atmosphere as you do so well?”
“Of course I did. But that doesn’t do all. He’s hard to discern.”
“Really? Because on our end the signs are pretty clear.” Alexs comments “He’s consistently devouring you with his gaze, always commenting on how good you did on the last mission, keeping you next to him…”
You let your bite roll inside your mouth, thinking. It would be wonderful if that were true, he always was to your taste and if he asked you would jump in his arms no question asked. But that is simply a dream.
Arhinda leans forward to lower her voice.
“But in your heart? Did something change? Did it not comfort you in your sentiments? You always had a crush on him.”
“Well…” you lower your voice too, they both lean further pricking up their ears “I… I think…” You gasp for air, not believing your about to reveal your sentiment, but it will help you face them. “I think… I am truly in love with him now…”
You immediately hide your face as you flush, feeling your cheek burning hot.
You hear no response.
You look at them between your fingers, to see them cowering back on their seat, looking behind you. You turn and jump out of your skin.
Thrawn is right behind you.
“Captain (f/n), would you please meet me after your dinner?” he simply asks with his haughty voice.
“Yes, sir.” you simply respond, decomposing yourself.
He walks away without another word, navigating between all the tables of the cantina of the Chimaera.
You slowly turns back to you friends, mortified.
“You think he heard me?”
“I have no idea.” Alexs answer with pursed lips. “What are you gonna do?”
“I don’t know.” you shout lowly, feeling panic rising in your blood
“Well don’t keep him waiting, you should go.” Arhinda presses you.
“What?” you choke on your own words. “I can’t face him right now!”
“Go!” she orders.
You obey with reluctance, you turn one last time to your friends that try to cheer you up with thumbs up and smiles, but your stomach is turning acidic.
For the first time in your life, you have no joke.
You knock at his office door and wait for permission to enter.
“Come.” He simply orders.
You brace yourself for what might be your biggest humiliation you have yet to face. You enter to discover him focused on his datapad, his “best Grand Admiral” mug in the other hand.
The mug was your idea three years ago, you thought it would be funny but right now it can’t even give you a smile.
“You wished to speak to me, Grand Admiral?” you say with the most assured voice you can muster.
“Indeed.” He lays down his mug and datapad, looking at you up and down with a light smile.
You remain still, waiting in complete silence as he gauges you with his amused expression.
“Is… Is there a problem, sir? Am I in trouble?” you finally ask.
“No. Absolutely not.” He says standing up.
You release your breath.
“Please sit down.” He orders, retrieving something in a closet of his desk.
You sit down, taking as little space as possible. He takes out a bottle and two glasses of the cabinet and starts pouring the alcohol.
“You hide a bottle in your office?” you open your eyes surprised. You never picked up on that during the four months you stayed with him.
“Shhhh. It is a secret.” He grins lightly, handing you a glass. “If I am not mistaken this Bourbon is one of your favorites.” He observes the amber bottle.
You take a sip to taste it.
It’s delicious
“Why do we drink today, sir?” you ask.
“To thank you for your help for the last four months.” He clinks his glass with yours, leaning against the desk and towering you from his height.
“Oh… Well you are welcome, it was natural.”
“Absolutely not, those tasks were not in your job description. You had every right to refuse.”
“I thought it was to keep Konstantine at bay?”
“It was…” he takes a sip, not leaving you with his gaze “And it served a more selfish purpose.”
“Dumping some files gestion on someone else?” you joke with a grin.
“No. Something more down to earth. Simply keeping you close to me at every given moment.”
You choke on your sip.
What did he just said?
He observes you coughing out the liquid, handing you a handkerchief to wipe your mouth.
“Sorry sir.” you press the fabric on your lips “I think I misheard.”
“On the contrary, I think you heard perfectly right. Just as I heard you ten minutes ago.”
You froze.
He heard you?
“Sir, whatever you thought you heard I meant no disrespect and-”
“Why would I take offense in a love confession?”
You wince, it was technically not a confession.
“Sir, again I am truly sorry.” You can’t push yourself to meet his gaze, you’re way too embarrassed.
It was supposed to be a secret between your heart and your friends, and now the object of your desires is aware of everything. Talk about discretion…
“You are absolutely adorable when you are embarrassed and confused like that.” he sings softly.
“Sir, please do not mock me. I am already embarrassed enough like that.” you try to defend yourself.
“Who says I am mocking you? I am serious.” he bites back.
You look up to him in surprise. You don’t see any ill intent or mockery in his gaze, but instead a clear and unwavering résolution. And something… heavy, dark and dangerous.
You gulp, your mouth dry despite your drink.
He leans forward slowly, his long fingers coming to graze your lips. It is such a simple touch, barely there, but it makes you gasp.
“How many of those visages do you have?” he murmurs “What visage do you have behind the doors of your bedroom?” he brushes your lip with his thumb “Will you allow me to see it?”
To say all words escaped you is an understatement. Your brain completely froze and you can’t move or say anything to save your life.
His thumbs part your lips lightly, entering your mouth. By instinct you gently bite down the tip of his finger and see his grin growing larger.
“Is that a yes?”
“You… You suggest we…sleep together?”
“Was I not clear enough?” He raises an eyebrow, amused
“You were not scant in details.” You say with a small voice.
“Let me be more explicit then.” He flashes you his fangs “I want you in my bed, I want to feel your pussy clench around my cock and see you struggle to take it. I want you to ride me to exhaustion, I want you to beg for me to stop because you cannot take so much…”
You just listen to him explaining his fantasies to you, mouth agape.
“Obviously, we will not do anything without your consent.” He raises back his bust to look down on you with all his height. “Is my offer acceptable to you?”
Your brain is fried, the man you dream about for years proposing to you to spend the night with him?
Oh hell yeah!
“Captain (f/n)?”
You blink and shake yourself realizing you didn’t answer him.
“Yes, sir. This is a very… tempting offer.”
He leans back to kiss your cheek and whisper in your ear.
“Then join me at my suite in two hours. I will wait… patiently for you.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You knock on his door with a flustered heart, feeling light with butterflies in the stomach. You took a thorough shower, combed your hair with a drop of perfume and passed on a fresh uniform.
“Enter.” you hear a welcoming voice.
The room is large, decorated with taste. A melody floats in the air with the scent of petits fours, and the distinct sound of a glass bottle. In the middle of the room is a large sofa with Thrawn slouching on it like a tired king. He stands up as he sees you approaching.
“Captain (F/n). Welcome.”
You wince at the title. You hoped you could be on a first name basis now.
“Thank you Grand Admiral.”
“Please, call me Thrawn. May I address you by your first name?”
“Of course.”
“Wonderful, please take a seat.” He gestures to the sofa and you sit, pressing your legs together. He sits close next to you, brushing his leg to yours. “I took the liberty to prepare a bottle of champagne for us.”
“Alcohol again? Are you trying to get me drunk, Grand Ad-Thrawn?” you ask with a smirk.
His hand holding a glass stops mid movement.
“I am sorry, it was never my intention. Please refrain if you think it is necessary.”
“No, it's good.” You take the glass from his hand. “I need something to relax.”
“Am I that terrible?” he asks, tilting his head.
“No, it’s just…” you click your tongue, thinking about your next words. “I loved you for so long, I am a bit nervous.” you confess, turning to meet his gaze.
His hand comes caressing your cheek, pushing away a strand of hair.
“(Y/n), you have nothing to worry about. I hoped for this night to happen for long on my part too.”
Your heart flutters at those words and you press your cheek against his palm.
“Really?”
“Yes. You have enchanted me with your spirit and you plagued my dreams from our first encounter. I cannot believe that you are here tonight.”
You take his hand and kiss his palm.
“I am truly here, Thrawn.”
“To my utmost joy.” He leans forward, approaching his lips but letting you the choice to close the gap.
You don’t have to be asked twice! You close your eyes and brush your lips with his before pressing them firmly. The touch is soft and inviting. His tongue comes part your lips apart to enter your mouth and hug your tongue. You let him enter without hesitation. His hand cups your head, combing through your hair, you moan in the kiss and you feel the vibrations of a chuckle.
You part reluctantly. He presses his forehead against yours, both taking back your breath.
“Before we proceed further.” He warns “I want you to know what you are engaging yourself with.” he says breathily.
You nod silently, all ears.
“I am not merely proposing to you a one night stand. I do not have time for trials and errors and stories without any futures.” He whispers. “I hope… We could build something together. A long lasting story à deux.”
You blink. He’s suggesting you become a couple?
“Are you willing to try?”
You nod enthusiastically.
“Yes. Yes!”
“My love is demanding and sometimes selfish. Are you sure you want that?” He warns you.
You take his head in your two hands and kiss him feverishly.
“Yes! That is all I ever wanted. Thrawn… I am so happy!”
He caresses your cheek and kisses you back.
“I love you, (y/n).”
“I love you Thrawn. I love you so much!” You throw yourself at him, to his surprise.
You push him on the sofa and straddle him, pressing your body on his, kissing him fiercely. He combs his fingers in your head, squeezing you tight with a deep rumble coming from his chest.
“I did not know chiss could growl like that.”
He grins snarky.
“You have no idea what I can do, cha’cah.” he bites your lower lips.
He rises back and stands up, holding your hands.
“Follow me, my darling.”
You smile broadly at the surname.
“Can I give you a nickname too?”
He guides you to his bedroom, another large room with a double bed that looks real comfy and… inviting.
“Of course.”
“My love?”
“I would be honored.”
“Sweetheart?”
“As you wish, cha’cah.” He pushes you against the wall, pressing your warm bodies together
“Honey booboo?” You stick your tongues out.
“Alright, you are pushing it.” He bites and nibbles the crook of your neck.
“Isn’t that why you love me?” you gasp.
“Oh, I do love you very much. Especially with your little humor, but I am not going to allow everything.”
“Oh.” You falsely pout “You’re no fun.”
“That is your role, cha’cah.” He kisses back your lips, his tongue pushing to enter your mouth and hug yours. You let him pass, meeting his tongue with delight. His lips are soft and warm, getting swollen as the kiss gets languorous. “You are my little jokester.”
“Your favorite jester?”
“You are more than that.” He grumbles in the kiss.
You giggle and jump into his mighty arms, circling his hips with your legs. He carries you no problem and falls with you on the bed, you yelp in surprise. His body weight cuts your breath, but you hold him even tighter. You seize his face and start pecking him all over with a growl.
Muah! Muah! Muah! You sparkle a surname between each kiss, showering him with love.
“My love! My Grand Admiral! My Prince! My heart!...”
You press his cheeks to make him look like a fish and explode laughing.
“You are having fun?” he asks patiently.
“Sorry…” you cry “I couldn’t resist!” you release his face to hold your ribs laughing.
He pinches your cheek.
“Look at you. I will make you wear a buffoon costume.”
“Promise?”
He sighs, his shoulders lowering.
“You are not supposed to want it.”
“But it is such a good idea!”
“You are impossible.” He smiles, lowering himself on you and kisses you softly.
It isn’t like the earlier hasty kiss, this one is soft and slow, gentle. His lips travel on your mouth, your cheeks, your jaw, your neck… You hear him purr loudly, like a satisfied tiger.
“I love you.” He whispers again.
“I love you too…” You comb your fingers through his hair.
“I cannot get enough of you.” He peppers kisses everywhere on your face, waving his body against yours. You can feel his bulge rubbing against your core.
You try to purr in unison with him, but only manage a gurgling. He grins at your effort.
“You do not have the vocal cord for that.”
You pout.
“Not fair.”
He takes your hand and places them on his chest.
“Listen.”
You both remain still in the arms of the other, listening to him purr and feeling it through your palms, all the little vibrations and waves. His head is buried in your neck while he caresses your back, lazily kissing the crook.
“It’s amazing.” you let out, absolutely fascinated. “What else can you do?”
“Many things.” He grazes his lips against your forehead “We Chiss are capable of numerous things human males cannot.”
“Like what?” you murmur, deadly curious.
“You will see in a given time.” he purrs.
You bite your lips, you don’t wanna wait, you want to know! You start unbuttoning his jacket to gain access to his chest, hurriedly pulling on his shirt to uncover his abs and pecs. You let your hands travel and roam around his warm skin and wiggle your way under him to kiss his chest.
“Let me get rid of that.” He sighs satisfied.
He rises on his knees and starts undressing, you follow the movement and sit down, ending up at eye-level with his bulge, you press your palm on it, feeling warmth emanated from under the fabric. You knead him through his pants, playing with his hidden cock.
The bulge is massive! It makes you drool in anticipation. You can’t wait to play with it. You gesture towards it but Thrawn slaps your hand.
“Do not touch.”
“Ouch!” You protest “Why?”
“I will take care of that.”
You pout. He took a delectable candy from you.
He chuckles.
“Do not fret, cha’cah. I will give it to you.”
You snarl.
“But I want to play with it, to taste it…”
“Another time, I promise you.” He says falling down on you.
You are crushed under his weight, but it feels comforting and safe. His hands roam your body and one find its way in your pants, gently stroking your clit and trailing your slit. You mewl and wave your body under his touch. He nibbles your neck, leaving hickeys everywhere.
“Mmmmmmmmh.” He sighs “I wanted to claim you like a beast, but I will rather make love to you all night long.”
“Why did you changed your mind?”
“You being adorable. I want to take care of you.”
“I protest, sir. A good fuck is of upmost importance to take care of me.”
“Tomorrow then. Tonight I will hold you and love you gently.” He purrs.
You bury your nose in his neck, inhaling his musk and cologne. He smell so good! You lick his shoulder, the alcohol of the perfume stinging your tongue.
He enters you with one finger, teasing your entrance, curling his knuckles. You press your thighs shut, locking up his hand in its place. He locates your gummy spot and grazes it gently, circling it with the pad of his finger. You moan in his ear and bite it.
You press his body on top of yours, circling his waist with your legs and his shoulders with your arms. You comb your fingers in his hair, disheveling him. He pushes another finger into your leaking sex and scissors you thoroughly. You feel your pussy contracting around his fingers as he stretches you so deliciously.
“Thrawn….” You whimper.
“Mmh? Vocalize your bliss cha’cah. I like to know I am giving you pleasure.”
“I think I am ready for you.” you press him.
“I am the one to decide that.” He gently chides, “Let me check.”
He takes out his fingers and inspect them.
“No you are not. See my fingers? They should be dripping.”
You frown.
“I… I have never done that before.” You inform.
“You are capable of it. I trust you.” He approaches his fingers to your mouth “Give yourself a bit of help.”
You open your mouth and taste yourself on his fingers. It’s rather salty. You lick them clean, lapping them conscientiously. He purrs approvingly and takes them out. You lick you lips clean with an exaggerated satiated expression. He kisses your cheek.
“Never change, cha’cah.”
He re-enters you and fingers you aggressively, draining moans and sobs from you. You dig your nails in his shoulders to hold on. His lips travel down your nipple that he licks and glides over. He takes it in his mouth, sucking on it and gently bites into it. You can’t help but yelp in pain and excitement.
He keeps scratching your g-spot until your pussy convulses on his fingers and you suddenly squirt in his hand.
“See?” He chuckles, “You could do it.” He shows you his dripping fingers.
You nod, still a bit shocked that it happened. It was unprompted but apparently it was part of Thrawn’s plan all along. He surely is confident in his abilities to give you pleasure, you’ll give him that.
He finishes pulling down your pants and spreads your legs wide apart, placing himself between them. He opens his trouser and finally free his cock. It is blue like the rest of his skin safe for the tip that is purplish, it has ridges all along the length almost like scales but of soft flesh.
Well, soft, if it wasn’t painfully erected that is.
The girth and length are consequent, but it is okay. You like a challenge!
You lick your lips and open your pussylips with two fingers, titillating him, daring him to enter you.
He slightly grins and aligns himself with you, pushing his swollen member inside you delicately. You open your mouth round, he’s maybe larger than you first anticipated…
He kisses your lips gently once he’s fully inside your leaking sex.
Maker, he is so large! He stretches your poor pussy so, so much. You are stuffed to the brim, like you were made for him.
“Mmmmmmmmh.” He hums appreciatively “You are perfect for my cock, you are strangling it just like you should.”
“Move, please, please, please.” you demand, on the verge of explosion.
“Of course cha’cah, anything for you.”
He starts to rock his hips in a deep and languorous manners, hitting deep into you, waving his hot body against yours. You observe his cock disappearing into your sex, utterly fascinated. His ridged dick feels so good inside you, the ridges graze deliciously the wall of your puffy pussy, your swollen walls embracing his girth with ease like a fluffy pillow.
It feels so good.
He alternates between thrust and circling motions of the hips, always loving and profound, reaching the depths of your being.
He is slow and languid, delicate and loving, never stopping kissing you languorously, robbing you of your breath. He hits your cervix with ease, a creamy O at the base of his cock.
“Can I come inside?” He asks after rolling his hips against yours to oblivion.
Your pussy is spasming and contracting around him like it’s trying to keep it inside, but your slick makes it slippery.
You nod, out of breath, face hot and body sweating. You hold onto for dear life. The pace is slow but it feels like too much for you, he puts so much love in each thrust you’ve never felt adored like that before, so much you feel tears rolling on your cheeks.
He looks at you confounded.
“Why are you crying? Did I do something wrong, did I hurt you?” He immediately worries.
“No, no.” you sniff. “It’s nothing. I’m good. Continue.”
“You are sure?”
“Yes.” You kiss his cheek and hold him tighter. “Continue, don’t stop.”
He resumes his thrusts with a quicker pace, making you bob up and down.
You feel something weird.
Something is growing inside you…
His movement became erratics and with a final push he cums deep inside you, hot ribbons of seed that your pussy milks for all its worth. You came with a gasp of his name, clenching all around his shaft and the weird mass you feel inside.
He lays on you, out of breath, kissing the side of your neck. As you try to move you realize you're stuck. You lower your gaze, wondering why you can’t move.
“Do not worry, it is perfectly normal.” He reassures you.
“But what is…”
You open your eyes round when you see the bulge of your tummy, is it…?
“You have a knot?” you ask, dumbfounded.
“Indeed.” He nods “I told you Chiss could do impossible things to humans. It will ensure you have been properly bred and you will become pregnant.”
“I’m…” you’re completely out of words “I’m on pill.”
“A pity.” He brushes his nose with yours “We will have the occasion to speak about it.”
You nods, eyes fixated on the bulge.
“You do not like it.” you hear a hint of sadness in his voice “It repulses you?”
“What? No! No, no ,no no! It doesn’t repulse me.” You hold his face in your hands lovingly. “It just surprised me, that’s all. I swear it’s good.”
“It does not weird you out?” he inquires, a tad worried.
“No. I quite like it actually. It’s exotic and…”
“Alien?” He has a lopsided grin.
“Yes.” you chuckle “A bit alien can’t hurt. I like everything about you, that included.”
“I am glad.” He pecks your lips.
“Plus it might come in use at some point.” you cheerfully joke.
“I very much hope so.”
“But not now!” you temper. You are not ready to become a mother yet!
“We will have a long discussion about it” he promises.
“And how long does it stay swollen?”
“It depends, between  minutes to one hour.”
You choke.
“One hour?!”
He hums, nodding.
“We can stay like that while it lasts.” He calms you down “In each other's arms. I cannot think of anything better.”
“No, you are right.”

HI, could you write about frank adler being a single (again) uncle and meets a new female bartender, reader in his usual bar. Both of them hit it off and started dating for about two months. frank introduced her to his niece, mary
Put it on my Tab
Tumblr media
Making his way into his usual, Fergs, on a quiet Thursday night, Frank didn’t expect anything different. Place still looked the same; dimly lit with neon bar signs covering the walls and the smell of old beer. It felt like a second home, predictable, familiar and warm (due to the fact that they haven’t gotten that goddamn AC fixed). He settled onto the counter, head lowered waiting for his usual to appear magically in front of him like always.
“What can I getcha?” The voice wasnt from the usual gritty bar manager. For one it was feminine, young and perky.
Frank couldn’t help his eyebrows raising at the sight of you. Sure they’ve hired pretty girls before but they usually didn’t last the week trying to keep up with demand while also hindering the advances of regulars. So how a beautiful <your hair colour> in a white tank top and denim short shorts was still here was a mystery to Frank.
“Umm yeah hi can I just get umm.. just a..” he stumbled on his words trying to avoid your questioning gaze.
“A beer?”
“Yeah that.” Frank gave a flat smile.
You undid the cap on the edge of the bar, Frank holding out his hand expectantly but you held the bottle away from him, holding it just above your shoulder. Raising an eyebrow expectantly.
“Please?” Frank said hesitantly.
“And…” You slowly inched it towards the bar top.
“Thank you.” It was becoming increasingly clear to him how you have survived here. You don’t put up with shit.
You placed the beer in front of him “Manners..” you trailed
“Maketh a man. William Horman.”
“Yes.” You smiled down at him from the bar.
“What are you doing here?” He said outwardly.
“Working.”
“Oh I see that. I meant what is someone like YOU doing HERE?"
“What is someone like me… exactly?” You placed your palms on the bar, leaning into him closer.
He took a long swig of his drink. Sighing in contentment at the taste.
“Too smart to be a bar maid, too classy for Coors beer and way too pretty for a place like this.”
You looked around at the empty bar with a few drunk stragglers. Taking the beer from his hands you took a long swing. “I am never too good for Coors beer.”
Frank let out a low whistle “That’s good to know.”
“I’m Frank by the way.” He held out his hand for you to shake.
“Y/N.” You shook his hand.
“Nice to meet you.” He smirked
“Likewise.” You bit your bottom lip.
“So when do you get off?” He smirked devilishy.
Tumblr media
“So she’s not like other kids.” Frank looked over at you, peering over his sunglasses.
“What do you considered “other kids”…”
“She spends a lot of time with adults so she talks a bit differently.”
You shrug “I’m sure she’s fine, she’s got a good uncle.” He grabbed your hand, placing it under his as he moved the gear shift.
“She just takes a while to warm up to people so I just don’t want you to be discouraged.”
“Frank, she doesn’t bite.” You waved him off.
“No she grew out of that 2 years ago.” He joked with you.
He pulled into the driveway of their humble abode. Paint falling off the rackety old porch framed by the half dead grass from a hot blazing summer. You loved it. It was Frank, imperfect yet homey.
You got out of his truck and waited for him to lead towards the screen door with an obvious hole that had been scratched out by a cat desperate to decide when and where they go.
Hearing the sound of car doors being shut, Roberta made her way out. Taking one look at you, she stopped in her tracks, placing a
hand on her hip.
“Well my goodness you are prettier than he described.”
“Why thank you Miss Taylor.” You let her embrace you in warm tight hug.
Her chin resting on your shoulder, she raised her eyes in excitement at Frank behind you.
“Alright break it up you two.” He pulled you back into his side.
“Thanks for watching her.” He gave the woman a warm smile.
“Anytime, now I gotta go but it was lovely to meet you and hey don’t take what she says to heart… she takes a while to warm up.”
“I’ve been told! Hopefully this goes well and I’ll be seeing more of you.” She gave you and Frank both a quick kiss to the cheek.
“You ready?” He whispered in your ear as you both stood in front of the door separating you from your make or break meeting.
You readjusted your bag strap on your shoulder, taking a deep breath “Ready.” With that he pushed open the screen.
“Mary… I’m home. We’ve got company.”
You both walked into the living room where the young girl sat, mindlessly stacking lego blocks on the floor, ignoring the calls of her uncle.
“Hi Mary, I’m-“ You started to introduce yourself in your high pitched little kid voice.
“Did he pick you up at Fergs?” She said dryly.
“Close! I work at Fergs.” You gave a tense smile.
“That’s a stark change isn’t it Frank?”
“Mary!” He scolded.
You placed your hand on his shoulder mouthing it’s okay as you walked a little closer towards her.
“Frank said you’re pretty smart.”
“I’ve gotten “baby Einstein” once or twice.” She replied, not looking up from the floor.
“I was thinking more Hypatia.” She stopped her movements, looking up at you for the first time quizzically.
“Whose that?”
“Oh you don’t know who Hypatia was?” You said in faux shock.
She shook her head.
“Huh… well for one she was a girl…” You stalked towards her, plopping down on the mat beside her.
Pulling your legs up to your chest, hugging your knees. Her lack of running away was a good start so you went on…
“She was a mathematician in ancient Egypt back in a time were only men were allowed to do math.”
“Women can do math too!” She piped up, brows furrowed.
“Oh I agree! Well she figured out a way for ships to navigate and I think I have… oh here it is!” You reached into your bag, pulling out a thick book on the ancient academic that you had secretly brought for her.
It was brand new with a glossy cover and you threw it around your trailer a couple of times beforehand to make it look worn and read. You had read it of course but maths wasn’t really your thing, the history of women on the other hand… you were always down.
“Can I please see?” She looked up at you with doe eyes, biting her bottom lip, desperate to flick through the pages.
“Yeah you can have it. I already read it. I’m onto Beyond Good and Evil now.”
“By Friedrich Nietzsche?” She smiled at the common interest found.
You nodded, eyes widened at her.
She looked up at Frank; “I like this one.”
He leaned against the doorway, watching you two in amazement. No one got Mary besides him and Roberta but now he’s starting to think that no one had tried like you. No one bothered to listen when he’d tell them that talk of Barbies and pink nail polish didnt get her interested. That she was pulling thick academia books from the shelf at age 4, desperate to absorb the knowledge they held. How she wanted to be talked to like an equal or better yet be given the materials to have what she so desperately craved. Have someone listen, guide her, talk to her as she was and not try and dumb things down. And here you were, making her eyes light up and hanging on your every word.
“Good. I’ll leave you two to it then I guess.” He said simply tapping the frame before making his way into the kitchen to prepare his two girls a snack. Smiling like an idiot. Yeah you were a keeper.

Reunited (Aitana Bonmati x reader)
Tumblr media
Based of this request
Aitana Bonmati would always hold a special place in your heart. As your childhood best friend you would spend every minute of your spare time together, most of that time was spent on the run down pitch that was near the street where you lived. You both dreamt of being professional football players even though back then it seemed highly unlikely.
You loved your life, that was until your parents got a divorce and you had to move to England with your mum. You were 14 years old when you had to leave your old life behind and sadly that included Aitana. A long distance friendship proved too difficult and as time went of the two of you drifted apart and soon the phone calls between you ceased to exist.
When you started playing professionally you made the conscious decision to go by you mother’s maiden name, wanting none of your accomplishments to be linked to the man you once called dad.
Almost 10 years later, you made your return to Spain when Atletico Madrid signed you from Arsenal. You missed out on your inaugural season due to an horrific ankle injury sustained in a pre season friendly. Now a year later you are finally making your debut, against none other than Barcelona, against the girl who was once your favourite person.
The game is 65 minutes in when the board goes up, showing your number.
The crowd errupts, despite not yet playing for the club, you were a fan favourite and a lot of people have been waiting to see you play.
“I’ve never heard the crowd make this much noise for a sub” Patri tells Aitana.
They both look around the pitch and atleti team and even some Barcelona players are giving you a round of applause.
“Even Alexia is joining in” Mapi says now joining in on the conversation.
As if she hears her name been called, the captain walks over to her team mates.
“She is a young kid that they signed last season but she got injured before she could play. From what Lola tells me it was pretty bad and she has been working her butt off to get back on the pitch”
The girls are in shock to Alexia been so nice about an opponent during a game.
“She has also told me that she is a machine, so stay alert”
And just like that their captain was back.
It took minutes for you to ring Lola’s word true, you took a shot from outside the box, Sandra only just getting her fingertips to it, sending the ball over the crossbar. Atleti manage to get a goal back from the corner, a pin point header from you.
Barcelona reset but still Aitana watches you celebrate and she recognises the celebration straight away but refuses to believe what she is seeing.
“Y/N” she whispers.
“What?” Patri asks as they get back in position.
“Nothing” Aitana tries to push her thoughts to the back of her head but it doesn’t work.
Even whilst playing Aitana keeps her eye on you as she tries to work out it you are in fact her best friend from childhood. She watches your mannerisms and every so often you would do things that brought Aitana back to the pitch all those years ago. The way you would stroke you tummy twice when you were thinking or the way you talked, the voice she hears send her back to her childhood.
The match ends 1-1 and still Aitana fails to break her gaze. Her mind is running a hundred miles an hour.
“Has Aitana got a little crush?” Jenni nudges the small midfielder.
The forwards words fail to register.
“Tana!” Patri all but shouts making her jump.
“What!” Aitana snaps, slightly frustrated that her friends won’t leave her be.
“You’re staring and you are making it really obvious”
Heat rises to her cheeks upon hearing that her glances are not a subtle as she hoped. Still her eyes remain on you as you talk to Carmen.
“Go to her” Jenni says.
“Who?” Aitana asks now really listening to what the others are saying.
“Number 15”
When she hears your number another pin slots into place. The girl she knew always wore 15 joking that she had to always one up Aitana with her being 14.
“Do you know her name?” Aitana asks.
“No” Both Jenni and Patri say in unison.
“But I know who will!” Jenni adds.
The forward shouts of the team captain.
“Do you know what number 15’s name is?” Jenni asks Alexia.
“Only her last name, Y/L/N”
“No shit, we know that. It’s on the back of her shirt” Jenni shoves the captain.
Aitana thinks for a moment, it wasn’t the last name she knew but it did sound familiar only she didn’t know where from.
“I only answered your question” Alexia answers innocently “Why?”
“Aitana has a crush”
“I think I know her”
Aitana’s words intrigue the three women.
“Think? How do you think you know someone, either you do or you don’t” Patri says slightly confuses.
“She reminds me of someone I knew when I was younger”
Alexia goes to talk but Aitana cuts her off.
“Wait!” She says as she walks closer to you, her friends following in suit.
You are talking to fan who had a sign asking for your shirt, Aitana watches the interaction intently knowing that this could be her only shot at knowing without asking your directly.
“Why are we watching 15 take her shirt off?” Mapi joins her friends.
“She was in a car accident when she was 7”
“Who wa—“ Patri slaps her hand over the defenders mouth.
“She had to have surgery on her spine, the scar was big”
The group of players watch you, trying to see the marking but someone blocks their view.
“Lola!” Alexia says just now realising how invested she had become.
“What?” Lola say not knowing what she has interrupted.
The goalkeeper gets pushed out the way but is too late as Aitana sees a member of the coaching staff hand you a warm up shirt, now your back was covered.
“Thanks Lola” Aitana says in defeat.
“I didn’t do anything. I only came over here to tell that some of us are going to Sibuya and I wanted to know if you were going to join us”
Jenni looks at Aitana, how her head hung in defeat, a light bulb going off in her own head.
“Will Y/L/N be there?”
“You mean the player who just made her debut and scored, no I think she will want to go home and spend the night alone” Lola replies, her voice filled with Sarcasm.
The other players stand there, waiting for the goalkeeper to reply seriously.
“María Dolores” Jenni warns her friend.
The goalkeeper hold her hands up In defence “Yes, she will be there”
“Looks like you will be able to ask her yourself” Patri tells her friend.
With that the girls agree to meet at 7.
*************************
The Barca girls arrive and they are told that the rest of the party are in the private room upstairs. As they reach the top they see the players that mere hours ago they considered their enemy. Aitana searches the room but she cannot find the person she is looking for.
“Lola said she will be here, relax” Jenni rubs Aitana’s shoulders before pushing her towards a seat.
The table converse for around half an hour before the waiter arrives, ready to take everyone’s order.
“Is it ok for you to come back, we are still waiting for some people to arrive?” Aitana asks as she looks at the two spare seats.
“No, no. You can order, they texted Carmen what they want” Laia reassures the waiter.
“So they’re still coming?” Alexia asks knowing it’s what Aitana wants to know.
“Yes. Y/N and V are on their way” Lola confirms.
Aitana freezes upon hearing your name. Could this be a coincidence or is she really going to see you after all this time.
“They tend to lose track of time when it is just the two of them. They both had media after the game, everyone wanted to speak to Y/N and V didn’t want to her to be alone” Carmen tells the table.
“Honestly they are inseparable” Lola rolls her eyes thinking of the antics the both of you have been apart of.
For reasons she doesn’t fully understand, Aitana had an uneasy feeling in her gut. The thought of you been with someone else didn’t sit well with her. Yes, she understand that nothing ever happened between the two of you, you were only young when you left and she didn’t expect you to wait for her when she gave you no reason to but still she is jealous at the thought of you and V together.
“Aitana, I have a question for you. What’s your obsession with her?” Lola asks referring to you.
At first Aitana doesn’t know how to explain the current situation she faces, truth is she had been trying to figure out since she saw you on the pitch.
“Let me” Patri says confidently “you see Tana here had a best friend when she was younger and for some reason she thinks that your number 15 is that best friend.“
The rest of the table hang of Patri’s every word as they become invested in the possible reunion.
“Then we watched as she took her shirt off”
“You did what!” Carmen asks in disbelief.
Aitana is about to speak but Laia cuts her off.
“Nice of you to finally join us” Laia says when she sees you and V coming up the stairs
But catches Aitana’s attention is how your fingers are interlocked with V’s.
“Don’t blame me. I had to wait till Y/N came down from her adrenaline high, she wouldn’t sit down, picture a kid on a Sugar rush”
“Hey! Don’t be mean, you know you love me” you pretend to act offended.
“That I do” V kisses your temple.
The Barca girls watch the interaction before looking at their friend. Although Aitana never talked about how deep the connection between the two of you went, they figured she had feeling for you, they could see it in her eyes.
You and V take your seats and by luck you are sat opposite Aitana. The first course comes and they two of you are yet to talk.
“How about we play truth or dare?” Lola suggests.
“No” Carmen is quick to answer knowing that Lola will have an alterer motive.
“Don’t be so much a bore Car” Lola playfully slaps her girlfriends thigh “it’ll be fun, Y/N you can go first”
You give Lola a look, one that translates into what are you up to.
“During Christmas break you stayed over, what happened to my blender, actually let me rephrase that, who broke my blender?”
Your eyes goes wide as you look around the room, more specifically to V and Carmen who are the only ones that know the truth
“It was—“ you are on the verge of confirming Lola’s suspicions when Carmen cuts you off.
“Don’t crack”
“We made a promise”
Your two Atleti team mates cut you off.
Looking around you see that all of the table are staring at you but your focus in on the girl opposite. You send her a playful wink, one which causes Aitana to blush.
“You’ll never know” you smile smugly at the goalkeeper.
“Fine by me, now your dare is” Lola taps her chin as if you doesn’t already know your fate “take your shirt off”
“Lola you know I won’t do that, why would you ask me that, here of all places” you are slightly annoyed by her dare, not expecting her to ask this of you.
“I’m sorry, it just that—“ Lola knows she went too far.
“Forget it” you end the conversation on the spot.
Feeling the tension between you and goalkeeper, the rest of the table begin to make small conversations between themselves. The only person still looking at you is Aitana and you can see the curiosity in her eye.
“T” you say barely a whisper, still a bit shaken.
Hearing the nickname only you have called her all but confirms her theories. If not, the look in your eye does, she would recognise it anywhere. In that moment she sees the 7 year old who would obsess over the scar on her back, who would try to cover it with make up because she didn’t want people to stare.
“Y/N” Aitana says barely a whisper.
“Took you long enough. Now I can take my shirt off if you need to see it but—“
“No, I don’t need to see it” Aitana says referring to your scar.
The two of you are lost in the moment, only breaking away when you hear someone clear their throat.
“So you do know each other?” Patri asks.
All of sudden every one starts asking questions.
“How did you meet?”
“Why did you leave Spain?”
“Why didn’t you tell Aitana you were back?”
“Do you wanna?” Aitana tips her head in the direction of the stairs.
“Yes” you push your chair back, your standing form quiets the table.
Without saying another word, the two of you leave and are soon out on the streets of Madrid. As you walk in silence you feel lighter than you have in years and you know that is because you have Aitana by your side.
“I did want to reach out when Atleti signed me but then I got injured and well I wasn’t exactly the best company. V only put up with me because she didn’t have any other choice” you tried to explain your reasoning.
“You and V, are you?” Aitana feels the jealous rise within her.
You swear you could see the green in her eyes.
“We’re just friends. We met in a time where we both needed each other. I would go with her to her treatment and she would keep me company during physio, when she was feeling well enough”
“No need to be jealous” you nudge Aitana’s shoulder with your own.
“Why Y/L/N? It would have been so much easier if you kept your other name”
“That was dad’s name, after the divorce I wanted nothing to do with him. Now I go by Y/L/N, to honour my mum”
“That makes sense” Aitana replies.
“What made you you think it was me on the pitch?” Now it is your turn to ask a question.
Aitana replayed the game in her head as she tries to pin point the exact moment.
“The way you walked, how you used your hands when you talked to Carmen, you always were gesticulative but the moment when I really thought, that’s my Y/N, was your celebration, you never changed it”
It takes you a moment to realise that she has finished talking. The way she said my Y/N gave you butterflies.
“You mean this?” You dramatically do your celebration.
“That’s the one” Aitana says between laughs.
“In the end you thought the only way to now for sure is to watch me strip?”
Aitana buries her face in her hands with embarrassment “you saw that?”
“Four Barcelona players watching my every move, kind of hard to miss”
The two of you discuss all of the big and small things that has happened over the years and soon enough you reach your destination, the beach. You take a seat on a bench that looked out over the ocean, Aitana sits next to you.
“You can see it if you want? I didn’t wanted everyone else to see it, it only leads to questions and I don’t like talking about it”
You can her hesitating as she thinks about it. In the end you make the decision for her. You turn so you are facing away from her as you lift up the back of your t-shirt. You feel her trail her fingers along the scar then you feel her warm breath on your back before you feel her kiss the top of it.
Suddenly feeling very vulnerable you pull you shirt down and quickly adjust your position so you are once again facing Aitana. Only she doesn’t move, if anything you could have sworn she moved closer, so much she that her face is inches away from yours and in a quick swift motion her lips are on yours.
The kiss ends just as quick as it happened, much to your disliking.
“Jesus T, take a girl to dinner first” a smile tugs at your lips as you tease your best friend.
“Would you like to go on a date with me?” Aitana asks. Her tone filled with confidence knowing that you didn’t push her away when she kisses you.
“Of course I will” you steal a kiss before standing, holding you hand out for Aitana to take.
The two of you spend the next hour or so walking down the boardwalk as you reminisce about old times and plan what you will do together in the future.

Watching the most recent interview with Ellen/Eliot Page makes me so fucking ill that I don’t have any jokes left in me about her appearance. I just feel like crying when I look at her. Juno came out when I was in high school, and a lot of people told me then, and continued to tell me, when I was in my early 20s, that I looked like her. I don’t think we bear a huge resemblance to each other but we could be related, maybe cousins or half-sisters, and we both presented sort of quasi-androgynous, not butch at all but not extremely feminine either, and we have very similar low-timbred voices and I had and still have kind of weird, off beat humor, sorta like the character that Page played in Juno. I don’t think we looked like each other more so than my general demeanor and mannerisms sort of reminded people of Page. I always took it as a compliment. Ellen was very pretty to me. I was a fellow flat-chested, low-voiced brunette, someone that a lot wouldn’t consider, looks-wise, a feminine bombshell knockout. And that was devastating to me when I was younger. I hated my perceived ugliness. Hated my flat chest. Hated being tall and having a low voice. Hated all the jokes made about me when I was in music school about how I was “a man” (I have a low mezzo-soprano singing voice and can sing contralto roles pretty easily too). As I left my teens and then my 20s behind, I gradually started to like the way I looked. I started developing my own personal clothing style that was flattering to my body. I started not caring if others didn’t like my appearance. So some guy got insecure because I was taller than him? His loss. Some guy didn’t want to date me because of my tiny A-cups? Good, I don’t want to be with someone that shallow anyway. A lot of men thought I was too weird? I am weird and I’m not about to stop being weird anytime soon. My husband loves the way I look, and the way I am, and that’s good enough for me. And I learned, even as I became more conservative and traditional in my leanings, that the TERF girls are really correct: there is no wrong way to present as a women. A butch lesbian with a shaved head that wears nothing but cargo shorts and t-shirts is just as much of a woman as the girl who loves 1950s fashion and rolls her hair every night and applies makeup every morning.
But I don’t think Ellen got to have that realization. I think Ellen grew up as a child actor, suffered grooming, abuse, and the casting couch (she said as much in her memoir) and then suffered years of cultural grooming and brainwashing from Hollywood and leftist media that tells women that they are either Kardashians or men, and there is no nuance and no in-between anymore. Look like an inhuman bimboid sex doll freak like Kylie Jenner, or just simply, quit participating in it, and become a sexless object. Ellen Page has allowed a doctor to cut off her breasts, and she now exists in a bizarre state of not being a woman, but not resembling a man either. Her voice is bizarre and uncanny, coming from vocal cords too thick for a female throat. If she continues taking testosterone, she will have joint problems, as her muscles continue to grow too big for her 5’1 frame. She will be at a massively increased risk for liver failure and heart problems. Her vagina will possibly atrophy so much, that it will be impossible for her to have any sort of penetrative sex at all.
I laughed along with everyone else at that absurd picture of her at the Met Gala a few years back, but it’s not funny to me anymore. She looks like a lost little girl, wearing clothing not meant for her, that don’t fit her. That never will.

The Dissection of Hazbin Hotel, Episode One: part 4
Onto the end part, Charlie meeting with the angels and... Vaggie's advertisement.
Let's finish this!
Part 1:
Part 2:
Part 3:
Part 4: //
Tumblr media
--Uh. The fuck is this building and why is it in Hell? Are we not going to explain? (Trick question, there’s already so much exposition that it wraps right back around to leaving us in the dark!!)
--Ohhh. That's Adam’s voice? Someone as important as him does not sound like that.
...Stupid thought I just had: Adam has the first Adam's Apple in all of history too... because it's that little saying, that Adam got a piece of the forbidden fruit stuck in his throat to remind him of eating it. So Adam, really, should either sound like he's constantly choking on something/has a stuffed up scratchy throat, or he should have a super deep voice to indicate his adam's apple.
Tumblr media
--Heck is wrong with your mouth girl?
--B Plot is them filming an advertisement. I know I tried to re-write this in the review earlier (and will offer an alternative near the end of the review), but this is the kind of smaller-time plot we need to do in these early episodes BEFORE we get to Charlie's stuff. It's not very good tonal whiplash to pair these two plots up.
Also Vaggie’s doing this on Charlie’s behalf. This is, once again, something Charlie should be doing.
--Why doesn’t Charlie know the leader of the Exterminators is Adam? Does that mean she doesn’t know anything important about her world in general? Or is Adam’s presence a secret to the world? Does Lucifer know Adam is here?
--Good god, Adam really IS just Mammon. He's even a performer who is like a rockstar. Viv has zero new ideas.
--We're cutting between Charlie’s "important" meeting with Adam and the filming for the advertisement. We really are. I guess this episode and Western Energy spring from the same source.
--“How were you this weekend” is at least a little amusing. If Adam was more airheaded like that and not *gestures* all this, I’d probably hate his presence less.
--There it is. The Vagina joke for Vaggie’s name. They… they really did that. They just couldn’t help themselves. Viv just can’t help herself.
Because really, what are you supposed to do with this name? People having to say “Vaggie” out loud or print it on merch is embarrassing. They could have called her anything. Maggie. Aggie. Naggie. Saggy. Haggy.
--Vaggie: We’ll fix it in post. Angel: Do you even know what that means?
Well you see Angel! Vaggie’s origin can be split!
For a long time, Vaggie was thought to be a sinner who died very recently, so of course she’d know about editing, because she had grown up in the era of that kind of tech.
Except now she’s been changed to be a fallen exterminator! This means there are a lot of implications. Are we going to use this moment to hint how ANCIENT Vaggie is as a former angel, by showing her as not knowing how to work technology? No, no of course not -- Vaggie seems competent with the camera, it’s just that her actors are dumb fucks.
This criticism spreads over to Adam, who talks just like a “normal guy” and he’s a modern rocker and all that shit. Adam, the first human, who is incomprehensibly ancient… doesn’t show any signs of being as ancient as he is. They couldn't even write him using outdated slang? Make him a disco lover or something and have him say "Groovy?" No? (He IS a thing made of light, he could shine like a disco ball!)
--Vaggie: I’LL FIGURE IT OUT.
Godddd Vaggie can’t have one single line with any life in it. How does she scream in anger with no anger.
Tumblr media
--Hi Al. This shot reminds me of why I used to like you, because I DID like your design and your mannerisms once upon a time. I still feel an echo of the enjoyment I used to get from you, and it makes me sad how far you’ve fallen, to being Rosie’s lapdog. You do look good with this muted blue tinting your color scheme. I wish Hell was more of this color, it’s much softer on the eyes.
(Even when I was still a fan, I hated how overused red was. It was one of the first complaints I had. Then the show doubled down and removed even more of the colors from the color pallet to make it even redder.)
--Vaggie to Alastor: Why are you even here? Alastor: For the entertainment!
Actually you’re here because LilithRosie asked you to. She filed down your fangs. You are a toothless character.
--Alastor: I came here because I love seeing wasteful souls struggle to accomplish something meaningful and fail spectacularly!
This is almost exactly a line from the Pilot where Alastor said “I want to watch the scum of the world struggle to climb up the hill of betterment! Only to repeatedly trip, and tumble down to the fiery pit of failure." Except it just. Lacks. Any of the danger. Or the manic insanity boiling just under Alastor’s surface. The delivery is so deflated.
The words are stilted, like they were with Vaggie a while back.
--Much better qualified people than I have spoken about the use of vodou symbols around Alastor. All I can say is this: Practitioners of vodou have spoken about how harmful it is, and therefore, the symbols should not be in the show. It's that simple. It would have cost the team literally nothing to refrain from using them. In fact, we’re in Hell, and we’ve already used the Ars Goetia in Helluva Boss; why don’t they use the symbols of the Ars Goetia? Or other demonic Christian symbols? Or Lovecraftian symbols from the fictional Lovecraft universe? Or make up their own??? There were a million other options besides digging in your heels. It shows the crew and Viv’s inability to just learn or just be nice.
Tumblr media
“This face was made for radio!” that shot, bleck, they made a discount of that scary shot from the pilot. Why is every line they reuse for Alastor worse than it was in the pilot? The pilot where Alastor said “I would have done so already” let Alastor be a little aggressive and threatening, but here, it's just him equating it to “this face can’t be captured on video” instead of him being allowed to flex his power and scare Vaggie and Charlie a little bit….
It makes me sad.
--AND AGAIN, THIS IS VAGGIE HAVING THIS IMPORTANT CONVERSATION WITH ALASTOR. Why is it Vaggie who is getting Alastor’s motivation speech and seeing his Scary Face and not CHARLIE!? The Hotel is CHARLIE’S! Charlie is the main character, she’s the one who has to face these moral battles! Alastor’s motivation and his scorn for her Hotel are CHARLIE’S obstacles to deal with; she has to be the one to face them, consider them, debate them, and find a way to overcome them. But Vaggie is the one here, again, in Charlie’s place. (And Vaggie doesn’t even seem to have any enjoyment or passion for the Hotel either, so SHE doesn’t offer anything in return when she’s facing these opposing ideas.)
--So Alastor is going to make a good advertisement for the Hazbin Hotel, in exchange for never having to work with television ever again.
God, it’s so… WHINY. This isn’t a powerful Overlord of Hell, who is able to manipulate the Hotel behind the scenes and everyone has to watch out for his power because they both need his power but also fear it. This is a dude bargaining over what chores he has to do. It’s depressing.
--And it ends with Alastor giving everyone new outfits. Like the pilot. Because of course. Viv has no new ideas in her head at all. Also Charlie's not here.
Tumblr media
--I feel like this scene COULD have been a standout moment in another universe, where someone else wrote this story. The colors are very nice, and Alastor is genuinely one of the only sources of ANYTHING you might consider fun in this episode, even if he’s a pale shadow of what he used to be.
Imagine this as a rewrite for this Episode, and how it could have ended:
At the beginning of the episode, the Hotel staff is still figuring things out. They have a meeting and decide they want to make an advertisement to get people to come to the Hotel, but Al refused to take part, because he hates TV. Charlie then tries to film her own advertisement with Vaggie’s help, but fails to make anything good.
As she starts feeling discouraged in the blue room while cutting up tapes, Alastor walks in to taunt her for a little while. After a back and forth where Charlie asks what he even wants here, he gives his motivation speech, so Charlie can have her goal challenged. But eventually, Charlie asks him to use his power to help her with this, by getting the word out to the people of Hell; and Al agrees, because an empty Hotel is no fun… in exchange for something Al wants: he’ll be allowed to observe any part of the Hotel and give commentary over it whenever he feels like it, and he’s allowed to say anything he wants, positive or negative. Charlie reluctantly agrees to these terms.
Then Alastor uses his power and creates a huge radio tower out of the back of the Hotel. The rest of the Crew feel the Hotel shaking and run outside, and watch in confusion as the tower reaches up into the sky. Al then floats up to the top room, where an old radio station is set up inside. Taking his seat in the booth, Alastor uses his power to broadcasts a spectacular old-timey radio show all across the radio waves of Hell, which are impossible for people to turn off, so it reaches millions of them.
(This also marks his grand return to Hell after his time away…… I guess. Since they're going with that.)
Boom, now Alastor has a radio tower that he hangs out in for the rest of the series, and he’s often giving SCATHING commentary about what goes on inside the Hotel in its quest for redemption. It’s usually making fun of everyone, or damning criticism -- but every so often he compliments something or someone, or gives a bravo for a job well done if a character does manage to accomplish something (but it's always with this HINT that he doesn’t expect their victory to last.)
There.
I provided a better hook for Episode One to end on, something fun to look at -- AND it has Alastor being in total control, while still helping the Hotel, but clearly primed to fuck with it. It also gives the show its first stakes -- small ones, but a status quo is established and we know Charlie will be butting heads with Alastor for the foreseeable future.
--Back with Adam and Charlie, it has become an argument that sinners have earned eternal damnation by making mistakes, and angels and the souls in heaven are not the same; and that angels have never made mistakes. Adam even says he’s never made a mistake.
Why doesn’t Charlie bring up the fact that Adam ate the fruit of knowledge that damned humanity, literally the first sin ever committed alongside Eve? Would that require too much thought, because Adam could just say “hey Eve was the one who did that, then she forced me!” and Charlie would have no rebuttal, because this show doesn’t seem to care about logical or moral battles. (Honestly, I can bet Viv would genuinely believe that for Adam.)
Why don’t they also bring up the fact that all human souls are descended from Adam too? It would force Adam to say: “yeah I don’t care, they may be my grandkids but they made their choice and as the original father it’s my job to whoop their asses when they get out of line,” which would show off how horrible he is. (Or, just not have Adam act this way. The next point elaborates on that:)
--I keep asking myself WHY Heaven and the angels have to be depicted this way. Not "why they’re corrupt" -- but why they’re *gestures vaguely* like this, and so cartoonishly.
Some shows take themselves too seriously and need to lighten up, but a show like Hazbin Hotel has the opposite problem, where it won’t be serious when it needs to be serious.
Adam acts exactly like a demon. There is no distinction between demons and angels. They’re as foul-mouthed, raunchy, and gross. Why?
Is it supposed to be “commentary” or “satire” about real world issues, where authority/radical Christians think they’re better than everyone else just by virtue of being Christian? That’s my first guess.
But just like with Helluva Boss’s commentary on cartoonishly evil abusers: it’s not saying anything we don’t already know, and it hits you with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face.
When Hazbin uses Adam to say “See? Heaven is hypocritical! It does the exact same bad shit as Hell, but gives ITSELF a pass!” it makes Hazbin Hotel worse for it, because of how one-note it makes literally everything in the universe, and how it sacrifices any actual clever worldbuilding, storycrafting, or realism for the sake of shock value.
Hazbin Hotel is supposed to have a serious storyline meant for adults. It was meant to explore a serious moral question, and the angels are supposed to be one of the serious threats that Charlie has to change the mind of. You want us to take your show SERIOUSLY? Then you need to make villains we can TAKE seriously.
Think of it like this. If Heaven was allowed to have a different personality from Hell (if angels were allowed to act differently than demons), you’d be so much better for it.
First of all, it would give the show variety. Hell already has all the sex jokes, curses, and gore you could ever ask for – that’s Hell’s atmosphere. So let Heaven have a different atmosphere -- let its people has "serious" personality traits. Let them take themselves TOO seriously. That way, there’s some variety when characters go from one place to the next.
Second of all, it would give you way more personality types to play around with! (How boring must it get, writing the same screaming, cursing, sex-spewing archetypes over and over?) AND it would let different temperaments clash! Imagine Angel Dust meeting an Exterminator; Angel Dust makes everything a joke, and the Exterminator takes everything way too seriously, aaaaaand their personalities slam into each other. Imagine the possibilities.
But we can’t have that.
We can’t have anything because Viv can’t let herself be sincere or think this far ahead.
Instead we’re just stuck with Adam, who is Mammon.
--Lute says Charlie was “pardoned by daddy”? Who?? Lucifer? If Lucifer has the ability to blacklist souls from being killed, why can’t he just tell the exterminators to fuck off? Or are they referring to “God” as daddy, for which, I thought they weren’t going to touch God in this show?
The dialogue for this show is confusing. There was clearly no editing or rewriting to make anything make sense.
In the old pilot continuity, only an angel of higher rank had the ability to kill Lucifer, which means the exterminators were unable to kill him. Charlie, as his daughter, was directly below him in power, meaning Charlie would also be immune to them because she's stronger than them. But here apparently she's weak enough that the exterminators not only COULD kill her if given the chance, they WANT to kill her but have to hold back by some... law.
--Another song. Okay.
My opinion is that Brightman is a good singer, and this song definitely has more going on than the first one did. So… not terrible… but there’s also something missing in these lyrics. The way the music flows isn’t interesting and it goes by so fast. And Adam’s voice isn’t grating or terrible to listen to, but his dumb rockstar voice just kind of clashes into Brightman’s singing voice every so often, and makes it sound weird to me.
I could do without.
Tumblr media
--OOH LAWD SHE ABOUT TO GO OFF. (That meme will never stop being funny. The shot is so tame. She doesn't even get to do any flexing or anything?)
--They’ll be back in six months?? Oh right, ahem, ahem: We’re putting this into EPISODE ONE? (I’m getting tired of saying that.)
Side note: they better not blame Charlie for this one, or try to make it out like she did something to cause this. Because... She literally didn’t. She didn’t get a word in edge-wise. (If they blame Charlie for making Hell worse, not only is it another Potential Dramatic Plot Moment they waste here, where Charlie would legitimately do a fuckup and have to face the consequences of her actions and it’s Oooh Drama -- it’s also totally unearned here, because Charlie Didn’t Do Anything. Literally if this is supposed to be “Charlie’s Mistake”, she didn’t do anything to MAKE A MISTAKE. )
--Alastor: I pulled a few LIMBS too, Hah hah hah!
Now you sound dead Alastor. I miss your fast-paced deranged laughter.
--To hear Blitzo’s voice coming out of Katie. Not even for a joke. I just. Vomit.
--(Quick question, is it just me or does it feel WEIRD to see Hell freaking out about the exterminations happening sooner, the way it is now? I mean, it’s a bad thing of course – but at the same time, it’s 6 WHOLE months away. That’s still a very long time; it’s not like the angels said they’d be coming in 1 WEEK or anything.
And again, moving the Extermination up to the mid-point of the year COULD have been a good plot punch a few episodes in – if the show had established itself as having a one year time limit before the next extermination, for instance, and for the first season we watch the weeks or months go by. The cast think they’re safe because they always have more time; “the year isn’t even half over yet.” But THEN, Charlie fucks up a few months in, and suddenly the date of the extermination is moved up!! WE ONLY HAVE A MONTH LEFT!! SHOCK AND HORROR. THERE IS MUCH LESS TIME NOW. HOW CAN WE DO THIS IN TIME!? PANIC! STAKES! DRAMA.
Makes my poor writer heart sad.
Imagine if we lingered on the Exterminations for a while before all this, and we learn that every single year, it takes about 3 months worth of planning in order for Sinners to secure hiding spots away from the Angels (a play on the three big holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). This is CRITICAL for Sinner survival; those who can't or don't are the ones who die, and spots are so competitive that it takes all that time for anyone to secure themselves. So when Charlie fucks up midway through the year and causes the Extermination to be moved up to just 1 month away, NO ONE IS SAFE, and there isn't enough time for three months of prep, which is why everyone flips their ever-loving shit: they know they're going to die and now there's a hysterical scramble all throughout Hell trying to secure safe spots.
--The ending shot shows an exterminator dead, and the angels out for blood about it.
Again, ahem-hem: EPISODE ONE.
And now, the Exterminators don’t even feel threatening -- because we know they can be killed.
What made the angels scary, originally, is that they were virtually untouchable. Demons could not defeat them, and angels could kill any demon they wanted to by default. (Even Alastor seemed to be weaker than the angels.)
The angels should have been a looming, impossible-to-defeat threat (at least for a while). This would have given the story tension, because the audience would know the sinners stood no chance if they ran out of time or failed to convince the Angels – it was a battle of MORALITY. It was a challenge for sinners to prove to Heaven they were redeemable, because Heaven held all the power.
They de-clawed their villains in their introductory episode.
Do Adam and the Exterminators even HAVE the authority to enact a full genocide??? Wasn’t there a “council of Angel Elders” mentioned in the beginning? Aren’t the exterminators just assigned to this post, and meant to keep the population low??? Won’t they get in trouble for overstepping their bounds!? ARE WE GOING TO GET ANY EXPLANATION AS TO HOW THE HIERARCHY WORKS OR HOW HEAVEN WORKS FIRST!? BEFORE WE GET INTO THIS!?!?
AAAAAAAAAAAAND ~CURTAINS!~
………………………………………………………………………
And that was the end of Hazbin Hotel Episode One.
So! What have we learned here today?
My personal takeaway is that, even though it’s cathartic to see this all start to go down in flames, I still feel disappointed and frustrated because of how much time I invested in it, even defended it to other people for a time. I'm frustrated because none of it had to be this bad. Viv didn't have to be evil. There was promise and potential, once upon a time.
Quite frankly, we were lied to. The premise that everyone fell in love with was dumped in the trash. For over four years, we were told this would be a story about redeeming sinners -- that’s what fans put so much of their time and money into. But that premise was discarded immediately, in favor of a generic War Against Heaven. Viv LIED to us, knowing from the start that the redemption storyline was never going to go anywhere.
I just wonder how many resources were wasted creating this, how many people Viv hurt, how many opportunities were handed to Viv that could have gone to anyone else more deserving of it.
There wasn’t a single worthwhile thing in this episode. A handful of individual shots here and there were passable, but nothing enough to sit through it. Abysmal animation, pacing, storytelling, dialogue, voices, songs; characters that were flat and unmemorable, or stripped of what made them unique.
Charlie wasn’t the main character in her own show -- Vaggie was the one dealing with the morality of the other characters. (And frankly, Charlie didn’t NEED to meet with Adam. It accomplished nothing. If the angels had already decided to do the extermination in 6 months; they could have just done it, they didn’t necessarily NEED to meet with Charlie to enact it.)
Somehow, Hazbin found a way to do everything wrong!
This show should be taken as a lesson on what not to as an artist. (Any kind of artist, really.)
In my opinion, the greatest weakness of this show is its inability to write anything sincere.
(And there’s a difference between something having sincere emotion, and melodrama, which Viv dumps in boatloads in her writing.)
I won’t re-write it all, but I basically mean what happened with Adam and the angels, where they aren’t allowed to be any different from the demons. They aren’t allowed to be serious, wise, ancient; because Viv CAN’T write them as sincere. (But this also includes so many other aspects of this show and this world as a whole.)
(And its genre doesn’t shield it. Hazbin Hotel is trying to tell a STORY, so it doesn’t get to hide behind the genre of being an “episodic adult comedy”. It HAS to follow the rules of storytelling, and when it doesn’t, it is failing.)
And Hazbin Hotel is just one giant failure.
With that, I’ll wrap this up. I think I’ve said all I want to.
I don’t know if I’ll review any other episodes like this (or, if they’ll be this long), because they get worse and worse; and Episode 4 is such a serious, disgusting episode that I don't know if it's even worth it -- but I REALLY wanted to get my thoughts down for this one.
If you read it all, thanks for sticking around! It was fun to rip it apart.
If you have any thoughts you want to add onto this, I’d love to hear!

RYUJIN REPUTATION IN THE INDUSTRY READING
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this reading was a paid request, a big thank you to the buyer!
how female idols view ryujin overall:
they think she is someone that is really herself - she is opinionated, thinks outside the box and doesn’t care if she makes mistakes. they think she doesn’t care very much about being traditional and can be rebellious (even if it's just how she voices her opinions). they think she seems to find herself in a relationship often or flirting with someone easily - some of them also seem to question if she is straight or not, they wonder if she really is flirting with women too or if she is just too friendly (this is also especially when she gets opinionated on gay rights. they’re thinking, “is this just her opinionated personality or is this personal to her”). however, they also think she can be quite lonely too (which is likely more recent or only within the last year or so - she made a big point about of being her own, maybe even in a cheesy way where she was telling people she’s “dating herself” now or something, but most just saw it as coping - and they think she was still a flirtatious person anyway). they think she can be too aggressive with opinions - they think that even if she says something that makes sense she sometimes seem so emotional and angry that they ultimately think she just needs to calm down. they think she can be really funny but also really mean, she can be offensive with her jokes or just be too blunt. they think she has struggled with her mental health. they think really likes experience and talks about travel or different cultures often.
how male idols view ryujin overall:
they think she is argumentative, opinionated and likes to be rebellious (they think she is an annoying angry feminist who can’t handle being wrong). they think she doesn’t really care about having good manners or being polite at all sometimes - that she doesn’t care about causing a scene or if people are mad at her but that she also places herself at the centre of attention often (seeing her as being sort of, “okay i really don’t care what anyone else has to say because this is what i think”). they think she is really hard to impress and some think this is really just because she’s obsessed with herself and can’t see other points of view or understand others easily. a lot of male idols think she is fun, she can be really funny and laidback (sort of tomboyish where she’s not trying as hard as other women who want to appear more classy), but that she gets really angry and upset really quickly - it’s as if one second they’re laughing and joking with her and then they say a joke she takes the wrong way and she starts educating him by going on a long rant (essentially they think she gets defensive easily - both of causes and herself). they think she is not subtle at all and is more to the obnoxious side (she doesn’t know how to play coy), so you either accept this about her or you don’t. a lot of the men that are her friends (or friendly with her) can have sexual intentions towards her, thinking that she is a fun and obvious flirter (i.e. they often feel there is sexual tension or an underlying sexual chemistry in their connection). the same as female idols, they see her as someone who is hungry for experience.
how staff view ryujin overall:
they see her as someone easily exhausted and overwhelmed by her responsibilities - that she can get down really easily. however, they also see her as someone who can have really high energy, where her confidence can be really high. therefore, how staff see her seems to depend on the type of day they catch her in (and staff that see her more often viewing as her as being complicated). they think she is very focused on her family and social life, so on set for example, she’s just spending a lot of time texting or sitting on her own somewhere. staff that see her more often seem to also worry about her mental health overall, worrying about how she is really going to cope long term (that perhaps being an idol wasn’t really something she was meant for). there seems to be a time where she easily rubbed staff the wrong way. even now she can be too brash but she is able to make herself easily liked (can be really friendly), so she doesn’t seem to have these problems anymore - most staff seeing her as someone that is mostly professional through whatever mood she is in now. they also see her as super secretive (which is different from the past), that she is paranoid almost - hides her phone screen, whispers things to the members or staff she trusts more, maybe even has code words for things.

So I finally got my life together enough to continue my C3 watch... I'm still at 33, I've made more progress on C1 recently. Finally the combination of finding Mini Metro and actually logging onto Tumblr on the web made the barrier of watching Those Episodes bearable.
Spoilers for ep 33 and minor vibe spoilers for episodes in the future that I'm not sure of but its all stuff I absorbed via osmosis and fandom.
It's been almost a full year since these episodes came out and I was mindlessly scrolling Tumblr during my 10am linguistics lecture and stumbled upon everyone panicking because of the lack of diamonds for the amount of people who died. Anyway.
The anxiety of not quite remembering exactly I learned happened is not doing me any favors, but good god, I can really only handle some of this stuff not watching live.
Anyway, here are some assorted thoughts:
Liam you really did not have to make me Feel Things about Orym and his husband while Orym is passing out.
Laudna what is that spell that adds hit dice, that is So Good
Good GOD Otohan is not pulling any punches.
.....this is so close to TPK wow.....
Matt hesitating before essentially killing his wife's character, but doing it anyway.....
It's really interesting to see so many of them up and huddled around the map, things are really getting heated, with Liam just living behind Ashley and Laura's chairs.
"I don't want to be the only one not dead" followed immediately by "soometiiimees you gotta cut a bitch" Yes Travis, that is the correct energy to bring to this clusterfuck.
:OOOOO Not the natural 20 to fucking save Laudna
Begging the DM for the extra hit point like its gonna matter lmao
"I should be more complete at my job" Good GOD
The sending stone 😢
And there's the first one
"We've met before" 😒😒
The sense of failure, the bitersweet feeling of seeing Will and Derrik again 😢😢
I hate it for them that they are getting important lore while they are on the verge of a TPK and loosing their characters
and yet they make jokes like "we can't afford that Sam" to careless whisper
"He is not a creature at the moment" :O omg. Ow. God that hurts.
I gotta say, I'm really enjoying seeing all these hail mary type moves.
You really only see the uber creative dumb shit Hail Mary calls when things are extremely dire.
I love how Beau's voice and mannerisms sneak out a lot as bits and jokes
And there's the second
"That was a helluva run" 😢
"Embrace it or be culled like the rest" oh my god
"That brings us straight to your initiative because everyone else ahead of you is dead" Oh my god Matt
If this actually tpk'd, this would probably be in the running for the longest, most painful tpk. Usually its all at once, rocks fall, everyone dies, the dragon breath attack....
Something about Travis repeating "do you fight it" to laura is so sweet to me.
Also Imogen is making such a wild decision mid potentially worst day of her life omg.
"Save your last line, you might still have a chance" Damn Matt you didn't have to be Like That
"I give in, and I fuck Chetney" "We all do at some point" 🤣
"Is she your favorite" and the immediate "I'll go with you, I give in" oh my god. Having seen that clip of Laura being like 'I didn't know Imogen was in love with Laudna' oh my god the pining is there.
Oh shit the whole city is turning red.
And THATS the end..................
I was gonna go to bed but........ Maybe I can afford to make 1 poor decision
I love the friendship, everyone congratulating each other and matt, no hard feelings. But I wonder how many people are rolling up characters just in case cuz oh my god.

Whumptober 2
Decided to let myself have some Kairro. It's been ages since I touched that AU and every time I do it feels self indulgent. Don't know why, a lot of people seem to really like it.
Prompt: "They don't care about you."
Randomly Selected Whumpee: Kai
Selection method: Asked a student I passed in the halls to choose a number.
TW: Blood mention, manipulation
--
“How many times do I have to beat you over the head with it!? They. Don’t. Care. About. You.” Morro snarled.
Kai raised his bloodied face and debated what comeback to use.
“I don’t know. How many times do I have to tell you that I’m not going to let you use your paranoia against me?” Kai said, his lip dripping wine red drops onto the concrete.
“They’re your abandonment issues.” Morro countered.
He was calming down and changing tactics. Probably realized that Kai’s temper had gotten the best of him again.
Morro made an excellent mirror to show Kai how ugly his anger could get if he didn’t control it.
“As if you didn’t have any of those yourself.” Kai laughed, wincing from the pain it caused him.
He just had to buy enough time for the others to find him. Nya was going to turn the whole room into a water park as soon as she saw Morro.
The trick was holding the line against the emotional manipulation. Hard to do when the manipulator lived in you head so long he left some of his things in the guest room.
“I left Wu, remember?” Morro said.
His smirk had Kai convinced he was looking at a mirror for a moment. It was to be expected. It went both ways after all.
Kai knew why Nya looked at him like a stranger sometimes. She never said anything about it, but Kai saw her every time she did it.
It had an effect.
Kai had slowly stopped bragging after Lloyd was forced to admit that he sounded more like Morro when he did it. When all of your friends get noticeably uncomfortable every time you get excited that you won a video game, you stop commenting on it.
Kai wondered how he used to sound when he would brag. How was it different? Did Morro get that trait, or did it disappear? Which one of them had “stronger” bragging mannerisms? If Morro got his way and they fuse, who would they sound like?
Would they sound like Kai when they told jokes? Would they keep that smirk, or would it disappear?
“And I never trusted anyone else long enough to get left behind.” Morro finished, yanking Kai from his thoughts.
He couldn’t think of a good retort. It had only been half a second, but Kai’s mind had wandered miles away from the conversation. It must’ve shown on his face, because Morro snarled again.
“I see you don’t have my focus.” Morro said sarcastically.
It wasn’t Kai’s sarcasm. It was a difference they still had.
Morro grabbed Kai’s face and dragged him up.
“Listen to me. They are waiting for the chance to get rid of you. You serve them now, but what happens when you get annoying? Too angry?”
Morro leaned in so close, Kai could smell the strange ghostly scent his spirit had.
“They will leave you.” he whispered.
“Like my parents?” Kai said with an eye roll.
He saw where Morro was going with it and he was sick of the line of thought.
“If the people biologically programmed to love you couldn’t manage it, why do you think they can?” Morro said as he dropped Kai.
Kai scrapped himself off the ground.
“Because they’re good people.”
“And your parents weren’t?” Morro said with a predatory grin.
Kai shivered and looked away, but he had thoroughly been caught off guard and didn’t have a response.
Just when he thought he had control of the conversation; that he had everything guarded, Morro came at him from an angle he didn’t think of and crawled under his armor. It was how it work from the very beginning.
“So, we agree he doesn’t ‘deserve’ to be the Green Ninja?”
Kai shook his head clear.
“So you don’t think your parents were good people?” Morro asked in a mocking voice.
“I-” Kai could only make the one sound.
“Because you’ve always defended them to Nya. You wanted to be a blacksmith and continue their legacy. You honor them every year on the Day of The Departed.” Morro continued.
“I do.” Kai whispered.
“That doesn’t sound like you hate them.” Morro said.
He was leading Kai to something. Kai didn’t like it, but he didn’t know how to break out of it.
“I don’t.” he confessed.
“But you should.” Morro pointed out.
He sounded so much like Kai’s therapist when he said it. It make Kai’s breath shake. He didn’t like the conversation. He wanted Morro to go back to trying to convince him the other ninja didn’t care about him.
“You should, but you don’t. Is that right?”
Morro didn’t give Kai a chance to answer.
“Then wouldn’t it be a good thing if I could hate them for you? If I could be angry for you? Then you can hate them like you should!”
Kai covered his ears. He knew what he was feeling. It was the same thing as the first time.
“He didn’t ask to be the Green Ninja. We did! Destiny passed up not one, but two perfectly good options to force the responsibility onto a child. That doesn't seem fair. You’re right, he doesn’t ‘deserve’ that! We could not only take what we worked so hard for, but relieve Lloyd of all that pain. That’s a good thing, right? We could work together and fix it!”
That sinking feeling that Morro was making sense. Scrambling for an argument, but nothing making as much sense as Morro’s words. Desperate to not agree, but finding no other thought in his mind.
Kai could only bite his lip and hope his friends were just around the corner. He wasn’t holding out for much longer.
--
That was just pure fun to write. I'm glad I did this.

WIP Sunday
Okay Gallahir shippers, I am feeding you well tonight. Uhhh context, Cahir nearly died in Aretuza, had a pretty nasty knife wound to his side which ended up lodging in his ribs and he nearly died from infection. Gallatin rode across half of Temaria to find a commune of druids who healed him up. But then Cahir finally heard that Ciri disappeared and raced out of there like an idiot. They are currently holed up in a cave waiting for a blizzard to blow over. Don't know if this qualifies as blanket fic sadly but close enough.
“You could go back to your people.” Cahir pointed out quietly and hated himself for how much it cost him to offer it. Because he didn’t want Gallatin to leave, he didn’t want to lose him.
Ironically, the elf was wrestling with the same thing. He knew his duty and ached for his people and how they would inevitably continue to suffer under Francesca’s leadership.
But he also did not want to lose the human.
He knew in the marrow of his bones that if he left Cahir and returned to his people, he would never see the knight again. He would throw himself into this strange obsession he had for the Cintran Princess and it would consume him.
“For now, that particular door is closed to me. Maybe….maybe if I somehow help you find this princess and she proves to be as useful as you and everyone proclaims, maybe I will be welcomed back among the elves with open arms. Francesca is also convinced she has some part to play in the future of my people.” Gallatin offered quietly and reached for another spindly limb that he could break into pieces and feed to the fire.
“I’m sorry, Gallatin.” The human sounded genuinely sincere when he said that.
“We all make choices, Cahir. I made mine when I threw my lot in with you. Come on, it’s about time to change your bandages and then we’ll hit the sack. With luck this storm will have cleared by the morning.”
Cahir made a face because that would require him to disrobe and the fire helped keep the cave above freezing temperatures but it was hardly warm. But he also knew that letting himself lapse back into sickness or infection would only hinder their process further so he reluctantly shrugged off the coat and his tunic.
“You know, the dryads are rumored to have a spring that holds magical healing properties. I also hear they have a bunch of natural hot springs. What I wouldn’t give for one of those right about now.”
“I’ve heard all manner of incredulous rumors about Brokilon, I don’t know which to believe.” Cahir sucked in a breath when Gallatin touched his chest as he unwound the bandage wrapped around his torso. Compared to the chillness of the air, the elf’s hand felt almost feverish hot against his skin.
“I’m sure they foster plenty of untruths just to confuse outsiders. I’ve never been there myself, but Dara, one of the young ones who joined us, spent some time among them. And he had all sorts of crazy stories about that place.” Gallatin pried the packing away from the stab wound carefully. It was still raw looking but the edges of the wound were a healthy pink rather than the angry red it had been before.
Cahir tried to hide it, but he’d seen the way the human winced if he twisted wrong or when he bent over so he knew it was still bothering him. Unfortunately, you learned how to work and fight through the pain when you were a soldier because it was one of your constant companions, right up there with hunger and usually suffering through the elements when you were on campaign.
“I wish we’d had more time to let Fiona heal you. This still looks bad to me.” Gallatin muttered as he smeared some of the bright orange salve onto the wound. The hiss of breath from Cahir told him the human definitely felt that even if he stubbornly tried to ignore that.
“Are you sure it’s not just her healing you were interested in?” The younger man asked, trying to pass the commentary off like a joke but there was an edge to his voice that was definitely not joking.
That earned him a puzzled look from the elf. “What does that mean?”
“I saw the two of you, in the snow. Looked pretty chummy to me.” Cahir tried to sound blase about it but the way he kept shooting glances at Gallatin’s face as the elf finished coating his wounds in that salve betrayed him.
Gallatin for his part just looked back at the human with a flummoxed look on his face.
“Please tell me you are joking?”
The human bristled instinctively at the incredulous note in the other man’s voice. “Pardon me?”
“You are joking, right? Cahir? I have abandoned my people to follow you halfway across the known world to look for this princess of yours. I carried you out of Aretuza and raced across half of Temeria to search for a healer who could save your life. Do you really think I had designs of Fiona of all people?”
Gallatin asked, putting the salve down so that he could pin the human with an exasperated look. “I have been haunted by that kiss for days yet have been unable to find a good time to address it because I honestly don’t know if you did it because you thought you were dying and just didn’t have the balls to tell me how you felt or if it was just one last hurrah, something to check off your list before you died. Or something else altogether."
“I thought…” Cahir’s throat bobbed as he swallowed nervously. How did he say he’d thought that had all been a dream brought on by blood loss and the incoherence of the moment? He had kissed Gallatin because he had thought he’d been dying and when the elf put it like that, it felt like a heel. “You’re right, I was a coward. I thought I was dying and I didn’t want to die without having the chance to kiss you one last time.”
He confessed softly, unable to bring himself to meet the elf’s piercing gaze.
Gallatin let his head fall forward to rest on the crest of the human’s shoulder as his shoulders shook with silent laughter. He feared if he let the laughter out, it might come across as unhinged and crazed as he felt in that moment.
“We’re both fucking idiots. Goddess, protect us, but we’re really bad at this.” He mumbled into Cahir’s skin. “Let me make it abundantly clear to you. Fiona is not the person that I want.”
The black-haired elf finally said as he raised his head enough to meet Cahir’s anxious gaze. Gallatin reached out slowly, giving the other man plenty of time to move or push his fingers away as he turned Cahir’s face towards his so that he could lean in to press a lingering kiss against the human’s mouth.
He felt the exhale of breath against his as the younger man made a wordless noise against his. Gallatin took that as permission to continue and shifted minutely so that he could deepen the kiss further with a teasing caress of his mouth against Cahir’s.
Distantly, he could feel fingers curl into his tunic, pulling him closer, which the elf took to be a good sign, as was the way the human’s mouth parted beneath his oh-so-sweetly.
Eventually, however, they had to rise for air and Gallatin pulled away enough to rest his forehead against Cahir’s while the younger man dragged his nails languidly through his hair.
“I hope that I made myself abundantly clear?” He teased lightly, earning him a huff from the human.
“I don’t know, I seem to be incredibly thick-headed. I might need a reminder and some additional clarification. To make certain there’s no further confusion.” Cahir snarked, and Gallatin was smiling as he leaned in to kiss him again if only to shut him up.

Trans-Femme Fatale
We were partners, he and I. Private investigators, ace dicks, problem sleuths, whatever way you gab it. Only so many ways to put lipstick on a pig. But I digress. Now he's missing. Three days. Could be dead, far as I know.
All started when that girl walked in. He was out on a case, I was keeping up an important conversation with a bottle of scotch. Girl said she was looking for her brother. Ran away from home in '44 to join up. Good on him. Get away from family drama and kill some ratzis to boot. Except the war's over and nobody's heard from him since. He and his folks, the girl tells me, never much got along, but her brother always doted on her.
New York City, that's a long walk from here. She tells me some actress friend of the girl's moves here a few months back and swears up and down she saw this brother on the streets, but couldn't tail him. So the loving sister comes down to reunite. She tells me the location. It's near my partner's building, so I call him and I'm lucky enough to get an answer. I give him the case, on merit of location.
I never hear from him again.
And the girl, neither. Hotel clerk says she signed out the morning after we met, with an older woman. Possibly a relation, he says. Something fishy about what the girl told me. The mother wouldn't come to find the brother if he was on fire, to hear her story.
No sign of a forced entry or a quick exit at my partner's pad. Hell, all his clothes are still there, so if he ran off on his own, he did it in a hurry. But no note? No nothin', after these years of working together? You'd think I'd earned that much. All's I got to go off of now is the faint smell of a nice perfume hanging low in the air. Fennel. Maybe a clue, or maybe a hooker.
I ask the old landlady if she's seen anyone go up to his floor. He seeing anyone? He ever meet with this girl from New York? She doesn't spy on her residents, she says. I get Andrew Jackson to repeat my questions. She tells me sometimes this dolled-up blonde visits him, late. Looks a little like that New York girl, she says, only with a whole lot more woman. Like I said: fishy.
Imagine my surprise to check back at the office and find this leggy dame sitting at his desk. I'd be pissin mad if she didn't fill those stockings so nicely while she did it. As it stands I just drag my eyes up over the broad's body so I can ask her to her face what she did to my partner. Is he dead? Who's the girl? What's your angle here, lady?
"Dead? No, no, only in a manner of speaking."
I tell ya, I almost pulled my piece right there, joking about this kind of a thing. But it'd be a cryin' shame to ruin a chest like that. I let her sultry voice speak. She starts by telling me she's the girl's sister. Bullshit. The girl told me she only had the one brother. Shut up and let me finish, she says. Yes ma'am, I say. Feisty one. Says her parents always thought they had a son, but she knew otherwise. Don't know how you could make w mistake like that! They made her live as a boy and tell everyone else, too. So she runs off to join the fighting in Europe. Gets denied, 4-F she says. I didn't know they made 'em bigger than a size D. So she does the next best thing: hop a train west and hope there's work wherever you get off. Sets herself up a new identity once she's got living money. Two, in fact. Some people still don't like her being a woman, apparently. A double life: one for work and the other for leisure. When her sister came around looking, she got in touch and explained everything. Apologized for running out on her, paid for her trip back home, even gave her the phone number if she ever needed anything else.
Lovely story, pulls at the heart-strings. She needs a minute to compose herself. I offer her some scotch and she takes it, staining red lips on the glass. Still, I lean forward, I've got to press her: how does my partner play into all this? Is he all right? Is he safe? Is he even alive? Then I catch a whiff of fennel, and I realize. We were partners, she and I.

Devil's Bells snippet #2
Liz & Jack meeting Phil for the first time
"Do you remember where the venue was when we drove by?" Liz asked Jack, laughing awkwardly as they climbed out of the van after finally finding a parking lot that wasn't packed already. Well, it was Paris, what did they expect?
"We gotta walk past this metro station right there of which I can't pronounce the name and then uh…" he tried to explain, but his confidence faded quickly. "I'm sure we'll find it. Eventually."
She raised an eyebrow but decided to follow the way he had just described and see where they were going. They arrived in the city early enough to have time to figure out where they needed to go before the show would start.
Walking past the metro station, they heard a young man's voice calling after them, accompanied by the sound of metal rings on the handrail of the stairs. "Salut ! J'adore vos tenues !" ("Hey! I love your outfits!")
The two stopped walking and warily turned around, spotting a tall and lanky guy with long wavy strawberry blonde hair, an earring, a half unbuttoned shirt, a black studded leather jacket, skinny jeans and sneakers scurrying upstairs. They had already seen some shady people in this city and didn't know what he wanted - at least Jack.
He wanted to open his mouth to say something along the lines of 'We don't speak French', but then Liz scraped together what she had studied at school and replied with a slight accent, "Merci ! Tu vas au concert de H.E.A.T aussi ?" ("Thanks! Are you also going to the H.E.A.T concert?")
"Oui, oui ! Vous n'êtes pas d'ici ?" ("Yeah, yeah! You're not from here?")
"Non, nous sommes… euh, je suis allemande, il est anglais. Mon français n'est pas super," she chuckled. ("No, we're… uh, I'm German, he's English. My French isn't great.")
Actually, her French was pretty good, but she was too lazy to make use of that more often than necessary if the alternative was simply switching to English, especially considering how fast French people spoke when they knew you understood their language but were a foreigner.
Jack watched in confusion as they talked without him understanding anything. He was relieved when they finally spoke English and the other guy came closer to them. "By the way, I'm Liz and this is Jack. What's your name?"
"Blaze. Phil Blaze," he answered in a low voice, taking a drag of his cigarette, before adding in a lighthearted manner, "Actually it's Philippe, but call me Phil, makes me sound less French."
"Your accent still gives it away," Jack joked and Phil shoved him in response, laughing "Buddy, that's about the best you get here."
The three of them hit it off right away. How often do you meet someone you can immediately joke around with like this? And in a foreign country at that.
As Liz and Jack didn't move and frankly looked kind of lost, he said, "I'm assuming you haven't been here before? I know the way to the venue, let's go!"
Making their way there together, they chatted enthusiastically about bands they listened to, bands who had influenced them, and concerts they had attended.
"What was the first album you bought?" Phil asked. "Mine was Van Halen's 1984, Hot for Teacher made me pick up the drums. Needless to say, it took me a while until I could play that song well enough."
Taking a pause to think, Jack replied, "Bella Donna by Stevie Nicks. I grew up on Fleetwood Mac's music and she was one of my first childhood crushes. Though I didn't actually buy it, I found it in a box with things to give away on someone's doorstep."
"Oh yes, she and Joan Jett were my bi awakening," Liz agreed before immediately adding with a contrived hair flip, "For me, Lizzy Borden's Visual Lies! I'm built differently I guess. Just kidding, I usually asked for CDs for my birthdays and Christmas so I owned a lot more before I started buying them myself."
"Can I ask you something?" After receiving a nod from her, Phil continued. "Is Liz your real name or did you take it from Lizzy Borden?"
She laughed, "You got me there! I'm not gonna give you guys my legal name though, it's not nearly as cool as my stage name, quite German."
Not too much later, they spotted a horde of glam rockers waiting outside what they were pretty certain was the venue. The doors were still closed so they had to wait a little longer, but even the way here hadn't seemed lengthy with their new friend and the last couple of minutes until they got in weren't going to be filled with silence either.
"Is this your first time seeing H.E.A.T?"
"Yeah, I love them and I've wanted to see them for a while, but bands always leave out all the other cities than Paris on their 'European tours', so now that I moved closer to Paris I finally get the chance," Phil told them excitedly before taking on a more frustrated tone. "Also to find some new musician friends because my old band just broke up three weeks ago and practicing drums isn't the same when you're just doing it for yourself. I've been playing almost non-stop in bands for about… five, six years now. Are you musicians?"
"Yeah! I mean, Jack plays bass, I sing and am a mediocre guitar player," Liz answered, mildly embarrassed, because despite all their desperate attempts, neither she nor Jack had been in a band before and Phil seemed like a professional.
"Hold up, do you guys have a band?" he asked full of hope.
"Well…" Jack started, glancing at Liz. "We would have one with you, and with a proper guitarist, so if you don't have any other plans…?"
"Fucking count me in!"
Just as they enthusiastically welcomed their new bandmate with a handshake and a pat on the back, loudly talking about how happy they were to get one step closer to forming a real band and discussing where they might find a lead guitarist, the other guests started squashing themselves through the entrance.
The group followed the crowd into the packed club where they were greeted by purple and pink lights and the further they walked into the main room, the louder the sound of glam metal blasting from the speakers and people chatting became. The walls of the corridor were covered in memorabilia like posters and signed instruments from the bands who had played here before. Many iconic ones of those Jack and Liz recognized and got annoyed they hadn't gotten the chance to see them here.
One thing was clear before the support act even started playing: wherever they would end up on their mission to find the last band member, they were absolutely coming back for concerts in the future.

BTHB: Self Loathing with Ellis
Tumblr media
CWs: Team whump, Past Major character death, Self loathing, Self blaming, Hidden injury, Whumpee turned caretaker, Caretaker turned whumpee, Lady whumpee/caretaker, Post rescue, Emotional whump/Angst, Repetition of the word ‘Safe’
Notes: Canon! This is primarily caretaking and recovery stuff! Bc recovery and healing isn’t always linear and always positive, sometimes there’s dips where things are rough! And I really wanted to show that! Ellis and Harmonia (and Cade) aren’t in a relationship at this point but a lot of their mannerisms may seem like they are! Harmonia, angel: she/her Cade, werewolf: he/him but doesn't mind others Ester, griffin: she/her, they/them Ellis, cervitaur: he/him, they/them, she/her (he/him is used for this) Dor, vampire satyr: they/them, it/its
~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sound off!” Ellis shouts, attempting to catch his breath.
“Still kicking!” Dor yelled first.
Then Ester. “Good here!”
“Sounding off! Sounds pretty good!” Cade humored.
And finally, “I’m safe!” Harmonia called.
The team was all big smiles as Ester goes over to high five Harmonia “You better be after all of that!”
“Yeah! But did you see that sick move she did with her wings?!” Cade laughed, going to briefly pick the angel up in a hug.
“I’m surprised that it didn't hurt, sounded like the asshole had a hard head.” Dor joked.
Harmonia laughed. “It did hurt a bit but I’m fine!”
She’s fine. She’s safe.
“All thanks to this big guy!” The satyr notes, reaching up to pat Ellis’s side.
Pain shot up his side as their hand made contact with the wound under his jacket.
“Uhh.. Ellis?”
Was it getting harder to breathe or could he just not catch his breath?
“Hey guys?” He could see them raise their hand up to show the rest of the team the blood on their hand. His blood.
“It’s fine, I’m fine. Harmonia’s safe, we should-” He couldn’t finish his sentence as the world started to spin and he struggled to keep his hooves under him.
“SHIT- I GOT HIM!”
Then the world was black.
~~
He had never forgiven himself for that day. The day Harmonia died for the second time, what should have been her last time.
He was the one that had planned for them to scope out the area that day. He was the one that told her to get a sky view, when they didn’t even know about who the people inside were other than the victim.
It was his idea for just him and her to go without the rest of the team.
Because of that, she was caught and gravely injured. Because of that he couldn’t help her because he didn’t have the extra hands he desperately needed to try to tend to her wounds. Because of his choices, she died in his arms.
It was a miracle that she was given a third chance at life. A miracle so rare, that he wanted to do everything and anything possible to keep her safe.
And he failed at that. She was captured while trying to get information, per his request.
“Ellis?” Harmonia’s voice gently called.
But she’s safe now. He’s done everything so wrong, but she’s safe now.
“Ellis? Are you waking up?”
Ellis’s eyes slowly opened as he started to feel that he was laying on something slightly soft but decently stiff, likely it was his bed. A dull pain radiated from his side, but it was tolerable.
Looking around a bit would verify that he was in his room, but soon his eyes would land on a familiar pink haired angel.
“You’re safe..” He muttered, almost as if in disbelief as he reached up to her face.
Harmonia gently grabs his cold metal hand. “Yeah, I am. Why didn’t you tell us you got hit?”
“I wanted to make sure you were safe first.”
“But I was, and you still tried to say you were fine. Then you ended up passing out.” She rests her face in his hand. “Ellis, you can talk to me, it’s alright.”
“I…” He hesitated “..Was scared.” The admission came out quietly.
“Of what? We had everything covered and we kicked ass. What scared you?”
“It could’ve ended up like last time.” He says, letting go of her to run his hand through his hair. “You got captured as a result of my request. If I hadn’t sent you out, you wouldn’t have been captured, at risk, or in danger at all. Before I sent you out, you were safe, you should have stayed safe.”
Harmonia was silent for a moment. “What do you mean by last time?”
“The last time I sent you out by yourself for anything, I got you killed.” His voice cracked as he struggled to fight back tears. “It was my idea, my command, my mission. And you suffered as a result!”
“I failed you! I shouldn’t have asked you to come with me! I sent you into danger without thinking of the possible outcomes! I didn’t even ask anyone else to come with us! I couldn’t get you back in time! I couldn't even be fast enough to try to help you..” His voice breaks as tears stream down his face and sobs and trembles wrack his body. “I couldn’t save you..”
“Its- my fault.. That you died.” He sobbed.
“Ellis.. It’s alright now-”
“It’s not! It’s not alright, Harmonia!” He cuts her off, sitting up despite the pain in his side. “I was reckless! That recklessness got you killed! It’s because of me that you got stuck in purgatory! That you got stuck with Death! It’s because of me that she was able to hurt you! It’s because of me that the Ladies Lucks were able to treat you like- Like some messed up puppet!!!” He couldn’t stop himself from crying, he couldn’t stop the pain and guilt in his chest.
“It’s my fault- because I’m such- a bad leader…” If there was any way he was holding himself together, it was now long gone as he let himself sob and buried his face into his hands.
She stared at him for a moment before sighing. “You’re not a bad leader Ellis, you didn’t purposefully cause any of that.” She attempts to reassure him.
“But if I didn’t-”
“Then someone else would’ve.” It was her turn to cut him off. “Either you would’ve gone on the mission by yourself and gotten killed or captured, or our bosses would’ve sent someone else out. Then they probably would’ve been killed or captured.” Logic was usually the best way to try to get him out of these mindsets.
“Being captured is part of the job, we go through training specifically for it. And we all accept that death is a very possible risk as well. It’s not your fault, it’s part of the job.” She explained before placing her hand on one of his knees. “If you want, I can put in a request for a week off. How does that sound?”
Ellis hesitated for a moment before nodding “If it wouldn’t be any trouble..” He says, laying back down as the pain in his side was radiating to his back and making that pain even worse. Harmonia shakes her head as she stands up. “It won’t be any trouble. I’ll go contact them now so I can request it as recovery from capture. I’ll be back in a bit okay?”
He nods, exhaustion starting to take over.
She turns to leave but pauses in the doorway. “Ellis?”
“Hm?”
“You’re not a bad person, or a bad leader. Alright?”
“Hm.” If only he could believe it.
After all, how could someone believe they’re a good person if they constantly risk sending their friends to their death? What kind of good leader fails at keeping his small team safe?
