you are young that's your fault | (Rise!TMNT & Mom!Reader - Rise!Splinter x Reader)

Summary: HC’s of you being a Mom to the turtles, and slight Splinter x Reader.

Version: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Warnings: No? Not that I can thing of.

I’ve never written for the turtles of any kind, so I’m sorry if I do this wrong.

You met Lou by accident, and you met him through a small, mutant box turtle. A real cutie pie. You hadn’t freaked, and instead took the small, scared baby into your arms and fed him, rubbing his shell. Lou had rushed over, having realised he lost his youngest and freaked out upon seeing you.

You didn’t care. In fact, you recognised his hair style, despite the fact he was changing into a rat. You happily helped him, buying food and baby products, clothing and anything else he needed. Lou - now going by Splinter - was thankful, grateful.

It was only when the eldest - Raphael - called you “Mamma”, did Lou ask you out on a date.

Congratulations! You just gained a boyfriend and four sons! You then later gained a daughter through April, and a grandson through Shelldon. And an enemy in Big Mama. And, Draxum had so many bruises from you hitting him (how dare he hurt your family?). And eventually, a nephew in a Casey Jr.

You lived a strange life, but not one that you would change. And, with each one, you treated each child differently, depending on the child.

Raphael:

He’s the eldest, so he gets it into his head he needs to be the eldest and stop relying on his Mom and Dad.

“You’ll always be my baby.”

Cue Raphael instantly relaxing, smiling. “I know, Ma.”

Calls you “Ma”, as a way to keep his old name for you - “Mama”.

You recall that day with fondness.

He wants hugs so badly, but he’s terrified to hurt you. But you helped raise him since he was a baby, so you know how to navigate his spikes.

You make him extra large clothes, and clothes with holes in for his spikes.

When he was leader, you would pamper him and give him a massage, because he deserved it.

You hated Ghostbear... hated him. But, you would listen to your baby talk about Ghostbear.

You made and bought him so many teddy bears for him. You're the reason he loves them so much.

Mrs. Cuddles - any time she’s on screen, you switch the channel or distract him.

His fear of loneliness used to be worse when he was little, but you told him you’d always be there, watching him, and protecting him. I mean, it’s still not good... but better than it was.

Leonardo:

He went to Splinter and Señor Hueso for advice. But, sometimes he needed his Mother.

Calls you “Mom”.

You would sit and watch Jupiter Jim movies with him, and would listen to him info dump about the movies.

He needed hugs and head pats. Poor baby was touch starved, but tried to act like he didn’t need it.

“Hey so... Mom, if you want, obviously you don’t have to. Just for laughs. You wanna scratch under my chin? Hahaha — ”

“Would you like chin scratches baby?”

“... Yes please.”

Any joke he says, no matter how terrible, you laugh. It’s worth it, seeing his face light up.

He doesn’t trust Draxum, and he never will, so he hides behind you since you do not hesitate to take off a slipper and throw it at Draxum.

Spanish lessons together.

As much as he pranks and annoys the others, he will instantly stop misbehaving if you give him a Look™. That Look™ means he’s in trouble!

Cue the brothers saying “oooooo”.

So, just because he goes to Señor Hueso and Splinter more than you, does not mean he doesn’t love his Mom.

Donatello:

Needs attention. Needs physical touch. Needs affirmation. He’s the middle child, he needs attention!

You didn’t touch his shell unless he was okay with that, and you were the only one who could give him hugs and kisses - unless he specifically stated otherwise.

Sometimes would go nonverbal, so you learned Sign Language.

Calls you “Mama”, but in the same way he calls Splinter “Papa”.

“Oh Mama! Could you give me a screwdriver!”

You sometimes cover his ears if he doesn’t have his noise cancelling headphones. You’ll just stand there and keep them covered.

He dumps Shelldon on you.

(Jokes on him, you love Shelldon!)

He gets annoyed though, since Shelldon goes to you a lot when he doesn’t comply with what Shelldon wants.

Mama: Donnie? Why did my Grandbaby just come to me crying?

Donnie: He wants grapes! He can’t eat grapes! You know that!

Mama: Make a liquified grape flavour oil, or so help me God!

Sometimes he doesn’t want you to touch him. You’ve never done anything, it’s just sensory issues. So, you kiss the air around him, as if kissing his cheek. You caress the air around his cheek, never touching him, as if caressing his cheek.

The Purple Dragons are your worst enemy, and you hate them.

Sometimes, he just needs you around and he’s happy. That’s all. He loves you a lot.

Michelangelo:

The baby of the family, and your youngest. Therefore, constantly all over you.

Clinging to you. Hugging you. Arms and legs wrapped around you and you hold him close.

Head pats. Shell scratches.

The wall on your side of your and Splinter’s bedroom is covered in drawings and art pieces Mikey gave to you.

You taught him how to cook, and Mikey grew to love him. Gives you dishes all the time to try.

Meat Sweats and you have beef. Any time you see him, you fight him... after you forced him to sign his chef book to give to Mikey.

You didn’t treat Mikey like a baby, you treated him like an adult, much to Mikey’s delight, but at times he wants his Mom to hug and baby him.

Calls you “Momma” and “Mom”.

Mikey dislikes that you don’t get along with Draxum, so when Mikey is around, you're more tolerable of Draxum. When Mikey looks away, you give Draxum a threatening gesture.

Helped you make a photo album on your phone of them as babies. Instantly regretted it because if you're ever kidnapped, the kidnapper now knows everything about the turtles as babies, and has seen the pictures.

“Momma… you didn’t show him the one — ”

“The one where you shoved crayons up your nose? I did! You were so cute!”

“NOOOOO—!”

Mikey finds that embarrassing - especially when you showed Meat Sweats. But, didn’t mind so much when Hypno and Warren returned you out of their own free will, apologising and suddenly, he gained two new (gay? Are they evil and gay? Cool!) uncles!

“You want to know why we didn’t think to ask you for help? It’s because we never had to ask anyone. Not when it really mattered. When we really need him, dad’s just there. And you’re not.”

Leo had a point. And while Draxum was half marveling at how he didn’t have a comeback towards a teenager when he would have before, he also realized Leo still didn’t like him. And it was probably going to take a lot more than words to change that. Luckily for them others had heard the yelling and came to break up the fight. It was happening less often, but Leo still felt guilty that it did. Especially when Splinter did so in this manner.

“Leonardo?”

Splinter’s voice was soft, questioning, and far from the usual scolding tone he got when the boys were being noisy. It caused Leo to flinch and grip the crutches in his hands harder. He had it under control. They didn’t need Draxum. There was nothing mystical going on this time. Mikey was fine. They didn’t need him.

“...Leo,” Splinter called again, noting how Leo was deliberately looking away from anyone. Moving over quietly, Splinter reached out to rest his hand on Leo’s, keeping it there even when Leo flinched again. “Come with me, Leo,” Splinter directed, turning to leave the kitchen, but not actually moving until Leo started to reluctantly follow him.

Leaving Mikey to deal with Draxum, knowing that Mikey was still the best for that next to Raph, Splinter led Leo back to his own room, raising his hand to Leo’s back as they moved. Leo was tense, and probably expected a scalding lecture. Even when they reached the room and Splinter closed the door behind them Leo remained standing at the entrance, pointedly not looking at anything.

“Leo…,” Splinter called once he had settled to kneel on his bed, flat on the floor where he liked it. After a stretch of silence, when he realized Splinter wouldn’t move or speak again until he responded, Leo slowly looked up at him. “Come here,” Splinter directed quietly, patting the bed in front of him.

Smothering down a sigh that halfway escaped, Leo hobbled over to the bed to drop down to his knees, setting the crutches aside and placing his hands on his lap. He was ready to get the lecture over with, but to his surprise Splinter’s hand reached out to snatch his upper arm and yank him forward. With a blink Leo went from looking at the quilt on the bed, to having to turn his head to look up from his dad’s lap instead of into his belly.

“Your shoulders are so stiff. And when did you get such dark bags under your eyes?” Splinter complained, focusing on things that seemed completely unrelated to anything that had happened lately while he poked at Leo’s shoulders and the back of his neck before slipping his bandana off and tossing it aside.

“Pff- Dad, what-? Wait, I have to go-” Leo sputtered a slight laugh, taken off guard by the completely different reaction to what he was expecting. He had to get up before he got too comfortable there. Things still needed to be done. Donnie needed looking after. Mikey could use help. Raph needed… something. Leo was sure he needed something.

But Splinter just rested his hands on him, gently keeping him in place. “You need a break, Leonardo,” he countered, releasing one hand to start rubbing Leo’s back absently. “Take some time here, in the quiet, and recover for a bit. I know your ankle is bothering you. It’s not good to be so stressed.”

Leo hadn’t been expecting to be told to take a break. Usually he felt like he was always being told to take things seriously. Stop messing around. He found he felt a little uncomfortable at the change. A little worried. “I don’t….”

He didn’t know what to say.

“Raphael will take over for now. That’s why both of you are leaders now. So both of you can take a break when you need it,” Splinter insisted, giving Leo a few pats before finally looking down to meet his gaze instead of examining everywhere else. “So rest. Papa is here.”

It was such a simple command and assurance, but Leo found that a lot of pent up emotion from recent events and events from over the past weeks he hadn’t realized he’d expertly shoved away bubbled over. And maybe he just noticed it more now, but his ankle seemed to take the chance to throb worse than before. Pursing his trembling lips together, Leo relented with the most pathetic noise of acceptance he’d ever heard from himself and shifted to bury his face in Splinter’s lap.

“There’s my Baby Blue,” Splinter just chuckled softly, cupping the back of Leo’s head and back and rubbing his fingers gently.

RAZZMATAZZ TWINS IN THE FURURE

okie so- this is a little saga that i continued but it was originally posted by @zeep-wuz-here and @normal-internet-user please go check them out!! they're absolutely amazing writers and deserves some love and support! ヽ(〃･ω･)ﾉ

he's worried because he fears that something would happen- a fear that he never had gotten over because it's an older sibling thing, protecting and worrying over their younger siblings. but he knows that you would be able to take care of yourself, you're a ninja! you’ve been training for as long as you could remember, you curred to him. and you'll be with draxum as well, so you'll be more than okay he could protect the both of you if something would have happen

okay so- a little headcannon that i have and really like is that in the bad timeline, you and donnie are 'Team Smarts' in the resistance. you deal with more the biological part of the reresistance while donnie does the tech part and this kind of ties in with another headcannon of mine: because for the first couple of years of the apocalypse you were staying with draxum- much to your brothers' disliking, especially raph

though, you were trying to come up with a cure for the kraang and only rlly papa drax had those ingredients

speaking of the kraang, it only took a couple of years for them to find you and drax, you sent a emergency call to donnie to make sure that he knew the two of you will be heading to the resistance as quick as you can

also did i said that you stayed with drax for a couple years? yea, and that's the longest that you and mikey have been apart, so imagine his reaction that you were going to stay in the resistance

mikey's gonna be clingy as much as he can for the next couple of weeks have fun with that!

actually, it's quit hetec while getting ready for your arrival

donnie was setting up your med bay, making sure that the water system was set up right, he made sure to double- even tripled checked if it was, that all the supplies you need aren't out and about and are in place where you like them to be

and making sure that your past notes- the notes you made before diceding that you were going to stay with draxum- were readable and uptaded if you ever needed them

mikey was making sure that there was enough food for the time that you and drax were staying. setting up the spare room for drax and making sure that the side of your shared room with his was nice and neat

at this time, leo was making sure that the rest of the reresistance was updated of your presence. that if anybody needed medical care, the first option was to go to you since you know more of both human and mutant-yokai health than him

casey jr. had actually heard a lot about you. mostly from his Sensei, Master Michelangelo, and Commander O'Neil whenever she could visit, even some from UncleTello

so casey had a lot of imagination that his mind made up. maybe a big, strong, turtle twice the size of sensei with weapons in both hands. creating destruction a thousand times more than the kraang had whoever dares harm anyone in the resistance

so when you and draxum walks into the resistance he couldn't get a good look at you at first. well partly because you were swarmed by your brothers and you also had wounds from the kraang attacks you and drax had been fighting off while trying to get here

so you were immediately rushed to the med bay by mikey, making everyone nearly have to dodge to make sure they don't get hit by a flying orange light going at sonic speed. it takes a while for you to recover, but during that time mikey visits you whenever he can when he's not saving infected people on the verge of turning

when it's not mikey, it's usually donnie and leo. whenever leo's not in meetings on what next move would help keep the kraang at bay or whenever donnie's not updating whatever the hell he's updating. and while these little hangouts were happening cj had gotten a good look at you

and what you looked like was not at all was casey was expecting. you were around Master Michelangelo's hight, maybe a couple inches taller than him. and,,, you also talk wired. he's not saying that to be mean!! he's just hasn't been expose to turtle language, maybe some TSL (turtle sign language) from UncleTello whenever he went nonverbal, but that's practically it

maybe casey knew a little of turtle, but that was probably around when uncle raph was still alive. so cj was probably around two or three at the time and there was a good chance that cj couldn't remember that

it's takes a while of observation before asking his Sensei as why you talk wired. leon had to take a double-take before busting his ass off laughing and it takes a couple of seconds for him to calm down, but once he has he explains that you're mute

that you've always talked wired- probably around the more younger childrens age in the resistance

okay- so y'know whenever mikey is in danger, you'll go apeshit and destroy everything in its wake? you're exactly like that with casey, especially with his first few missions with you. if the kraang wants to infect this precious boy with their dumb dumb bumble gum pink looking asses, then they'll have to tear him away with from you're cold. dead. hands.

and for casey himself? let just say you accidently gave him trauma but he has gained alot of respect for you and since then, he had held you up in such a high petistle- right next to his sensei

casey swears that he's not playing favorites, please don't tell UncleTello and Master Michelangelo

speaking of mikey, both him and you still do your guy's secret hand shake whenever the both of you are out scouting and there just happens to be a mob of kraang dogs and you guys manage to fend them off. even if the kraang sends more to try and strive the two you off while doing so, even if mikey's bones are old and frail due to his nipo, he still manage to have a little more engery and strength to do the secret razzmatazz handshake all the while leo's in the background panicking because holy shit there's a kraang over ther-

zzzaap!

that kraang dog went flying into the abyss of the wasteland by none other than mikey's kusari-fundo

leo swears that one day the both of you are gonna give him a heart attack /hj

another headcannon that i have is that while mikey uses his nipo, he physically gets older. so whenever you use your nipo, your vision gets worse. not gradually- i like to think that it's a couple weeks before leo sends casey jr back to the past is when you turn fully blind

and it's within the week the kraang found your base and destroyed everything and the only survivors are you, mikey, casey, and leo

and while running you could feel the thousands of kraang dogs in the area and you were defending leo, casey, and mikey while mikey was making a portal to the past

someone grabbed your shoulder and for a second you panicked because you thought it was a kraang then you heard leo's voice, "it's alright hermana/o, we're going to be okay." while he wrapped his arms over your form and used his own as a sheild proteting you from the incoming blast and hoping, hoping that somehow you would survive it. hoping that somehow, casey would be able to make it to the past, and fix his mistakes that he had made a couple decades ago

Fun facts! Bapa is a mix of Papa and Boss, and is what Donnie ended up calling Draxum lol

Donnie's glasses are actually Draxum's spare reading glasses heheh

Draxum calls him Purple because of his markings and affinity for the color, and because it took Dee a few months after Drax took him in for the lil turtle boi to get his voice working enough to give his name

Draxum might not be a good guy (at this point in the story) but at least he's a good dad!

I’ve been looking / reading way to many separate aus , and I was wondering do you think our turtle due would act different (even as yanderes ) if their were raised by Draxum instead of splinter ? Bonus imagine if their fallen or grown attached to a human ? Since their whole purpose was to destroy humanity ? Sorry I’m rambling 🤣🀄️

You've come to the right place! I love writing/discussing any type of theory, so if you need to ramble we can ramble together~

I made this a romantic one so it's even more controversial, but the first part is nothing but a theory on Draxy and his psychotic children.

Tw: murder, and in the crazy part kidnapping, brainwashing, forced mutation

Turtles if they were Raised by Baron Draxum

So, Lou Jitsu escapes without the turtles, and Draxum rescues them instead.

His goal is to use them to destroy humanity, but they're babies. He realizes that he has to wait for them to grow up a little before he can even start to train them (he tried but babies can understand only so much at a young age).

He involuntarily becomes a father and now has 4 sons. He does all the necessities but he is not keen on the emotional part of raising children. One of the reasons is how socially awkward this mf is. He might play with them a little but is cringing the entire time.

Once they're a little older than toddlers, he'll start training them, showing them the basics of martial arts and weaponry. Eventually, he notices that Donnie has an interest in science so he gradually develops his interest into a passion. He sees a lot of himself in our purple boy so he's much closer to him than his brothers.

By their pre-teens, he's introducing them to their mystic weapons and lets Donnie tinker with his (Draxum would never admit but he actually loves bby so much). When he does so, Raph gets some attention now because he shows up to training on time and is very skilled in the arts. Which turns into him teaching Raphie more advanced things than the other brothers.

As they turn into their teen stage, he's actually attached to all 4 boys. He's not as expressive in words but maybe through actions. He challenges Leo's jokes and psychological skills, as he has a hard mind barrier himself. Will place expensive art supplies in Mikey's room and lies that it was one of the servants who left them there.

He may be a villain, but we all know he's not heartless. He's just a nerdy dude who has horrible social anxiety.

Throughout their entire childhood, he tells them stories about humans and how bad they are, which engraves into their heads that all humans are bad. He gives details that they will tear up all yokai and those alike, scaring them in the process.

So as expected, they hate humans.

Finally, Draxum lets them go out and do their first killings of humans. Not without packed lunches with a note that says "From Father" with a horrible drawing of him on the side though (his gargoyles drew it). As the four roam the city, they take note that some aspects of the human world are nice, but the vermin that rule it are disgusting.

Then well, the murder happens.

They don't do it all at once, but rather a gradual increase as the days go by. They bring home the bodies to their "Papa", eager for praise.

Draxum will be unsatisfied but knows to wipe out the human race. it's the better method. He gives head pats and maybe a sticker or two (Mikey and Raph love them).

Ok, now the controversial romance.

But then one day the turtles meet a human while they were messing with things at Albertoland.

At first, it's aggression but slowly turns into indifferent behaviour. They realize the human isn't so bad and is an exception to all the other ones out there.

Coincidentally, the group meets them again, and something happened in their hearts.

Not crazy:

Is conflicted.

All his life he's been told humans are monsters who mercilessly murder yokai and similar species. So when a human is kind to him he wants to run away.

As you become closer friends, a crush starts to develop but the feeling of escaping grows stronger.

So he does the unimaginable and tells his papa about the troubles he's facing.

Draxum, who is flabbergasted, immediately assumes the worst.

"Raphael, do you not see the problems that could arise? What if you end up being hurt by them?!"

"But Papa, they haven't even tried to hurt me! They took me to a shop to go buy plushies and ordered human pizza for me!"

Draxum dearly loves his son but loving a human? He didn't raise his son to do such a thing!

After a tense relationship for a while, Draxum asks Raph to bring you over to the palace/lair for judging.

When you enter, it's silent, and all the brothers stand beside their father, eyes staring in curiosity. Mikey doesn't mind it all, as he always believes you shouldn't judge someone based off of stereotypes. Leo is indifferent, just being his gay little self. Donnie, however, is offended, betrayed even. Compared to the other bros, he's always stuck to Draxum's views and never doubts him at all, so seeing his eldest brother in love with a beast like you is horrifying to him.

After a long discussion and an awkward family dinner, they accept you. Draxum is cold at times but doesn't treat you ill (Donnie still complains to him at times. A son must rant to his father in times of need).

You get a happy big boy who gives you many hugs and kisses. Could be considered a helicopter with how fast his tail wags.

✦Leo✦

Honestly does not give a fuck.

Sure, other humans are bad, but you aren't. So, he's gonna live his life how he wants. He knows your kindness is genuine, as he can detect any lies or deceiving tricks from all the training he's gone through.

Asks you out to go to the Hidden City (reminder that only Baron thought humans are bad, not the other yokai). Shows you his favorite shops and ends up running into Draxum...Who is certainly not pleased.

"Oh. Hey Dad! Just um, on a date and buying a few things!"

"Leonidas. What are you doing with a human?"

You're immediately teleported to the fortress and tied up by purple vines. Meanwhile, Leo's getting a heavy scolding from his father.

The other three turtles walk in and it's just chaos from there.

Mikey will try to poke you, wanting to satiate his curiosity. Raph is telling him to stop while holding back a feral Donnie (he's extremely loyal to Draxum it's almost concerning)

Soon Leo gets pissy and argues with Draxum until the yokai realizes there's no point in arguing as it will only drain his energy.

You guys are just jumping for joy, along with Mikey.

Hates his feelings.

He hates that he's in love with you, he hates that you're so kind, and he hates how fuzzy and warm you make him feel.

We know how when he's with Splinter he's not as close with him as the other brothers are, most likely because Splinter isn't too interested in his passions. But in this AU, Donnie is super attached to Draxum because ever since he was young his parent has expanded his love for science and understands his love for the subject.

So anything in the way of his father's and even his views is a threat. He admits he has feelings, but you are a human, you can't be with him.

Leo, Raph, and especially Mikey have to convince him to take the chance. It's difficult though because again, Donnie loves his father dearly.

If they manage to convince him, then the first thing he does is tell Draxum. He will not betray him any further and come out clean right away!

"Father...I harbour romantic feelings for a human."

"...What?"

Draxum is surprised more than anything, as Donnie has always completely believed the same things he has. He knows he wouldn't do such a foolish thing without some justification so he sits and listens to him.

Donnie doesn't confess without coming prepared. He presents videos, data from lie detectors, and even records of your background.

Draxum believes him and doesn't say much. He loves his little scientist.

(Honestly though, I think Donnie's daddy issues would be so much better if he had Draxum as his dad rather than Splinter)

Treats it like it's the most normal thing ever.

Tells his brothers and Draxum. Leaves and goes straight to you.

No one can stop him, he pays no mind to anything.

"Son, why are you in a relationship with a being that brings harm to our kind?"

"Cuz' I love them and they're so nice~"

He travels with you in the human world, amazed at everything.

Invites you to family dinners without even taking note that his brother and father absolutely resent you.

Over time they treat you like family since there's nothing else they can do.

Draxum gets annoyed often but just huffs and goes back to his experimenting (he's dragging Donnie with him as the boy literally does not want any humans in his home).

Randomly pops to your house with yokai pizza and yokai food in general.

Gets clingier as times go by and when he can't stand it anymore he kidnaps you.

It's not just some room either, it's a whole ass house in Draxum's lair.

Cuddles you while knowing very well he's killing other humans outside your encasement.

If his family finds out he's going to say he's curious of your kind and is observing how you live (which is a lie).

You become one of his plushies in a sense.

Manipulates you into thinking the human world is horrible while glorifying the yokai world.

Might even convince Draxum that you could be used as a weapon so that he can keep you all to himself.

If you even speak about your life in the human world he's going to say how you don't need to go back on those memories.

You're basically brainwashed into believing that humanity has betrayed you and that you should stay where you are loved: with him right in his arms.

✦Donnie✦

Does not hesitate to try and turn you into a mutant. Then does he introduce you to his family.

Will give you a harsh glare if you speak of your past life with humanity. They are vermins, you are not to speak of them.

If you keep it up he might be inclined to force memory loss.

Probably the most unhinged and coldest of the four.

After he successfully mutates you, he might even introduce the idea of mutating all of humanity instead of wiping the entire race out.

Starts to preach about you to other yokai, and his family, wanting to change their views for you at least.

Doesn't stop following Draxum's orders to murder humanity.

With each body that drops, there is a heart or note left behind.

Doesn't deprive you of human culture at all. Maybe even tries to popularize it.

Will be flooded with bloodlust if you reference someone else that isn't him (in a loving way I mean).
