FGM Cutter In Sierra Leone Granted Bail A female genital mutilation/cutter believed to be in her 60s charged with manslaughter in the Southern Province in Sierra Leone following the death of Maseray Sei 21-year-old in December 2021 a day after she’d undergone female circumcision process. Sowo Sandy was sent on remand by the magistrate in Bonthe District in the Southern Province of @SierraLeone in her first appearance and that was the first time a FGM/C cutter had faced the court on FGM/C. On the second appearance she was granted bail as the state prosecutor failed for the second time to produce witness to the court.
