I decided that I might as well make an about me post. Everything is under the cut, you don’t have to read it before interacting but it’d be cool if you did (so you know a bit about me beforehand)!

TLDR: My name is Chaos, I’m queer, I like ace attorney, I write fanfic, I love it when people send me requests, I’m not a fan of mean people

General info:

Hi! My name’s Chaos. I go by other things, like Endo, Enigma, or Void, but Chaos is my primary name. You really can call me what you like/what you feel fits best for me! I don’t really mind too much :)

I’m aegosexual aegoromantic, genderqueer, amatopunk and voidpunk/nonhuman. I use any pronouns (including xenos, neos, emojiselves and nounselves), but prefer it/they. I like dehumanizing names and terms, so calling me stuff like “creature” and “thing” is appreciated. I’m radinclus, so I accept and support all “good-faith” queer identities (like xenogenders) but am against harmful ones (like transage). I feel like it’s also worth mentioning that I’m a furry and I’m undiagnosed/self-diagnosed neurodivergent! I deal with pretty serious mood swings oftentimes and struggle with regulating my feelings, so how I respond initially to something (especially if it’s a presumed negative comment) may just be a retaliation as to how I’m feeling currently. Please keep this is mind when interacting with me personally (I don’t want to drive anyone away from interacting just because I get really angry at stuff sometimes), as I am not always able to tell someone’s intended tone online. Simple use of tonetags do help, and I will usually use them when talking with others!

Things I like:

I love reading, writing, playing video games, watching anime and listening to music!

Some of my interests include (but are not limited to): Ace attorney, Dead end: Paranormal park, Skyrim, Magical boy, Lioden, Subnautica, Dislyte, Puella magi madoka magica, Pokémon, Cult of the lamb, The dragon prince, LittleBigPlanet, Good omens, Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts and God troubles me, amongst others that I can’t recall right now. These are some of the main fandoms that I’ll probably write for.

Some of my favorite Ace attorney ships include: Klapollo, Wrightworth, Blackmahdhi, Claypollo, Claypollier, Junithena, Franmaya and Asoryuu, alongside some others from various other fandoms (but Ace attorney by far has the majority of my ships and OTPs). Some ships I have from other fandoms are Viravos from The dragon prince, Aziracrow from Good omens, Homumado from Madoka magica and Narilamb from Cult of the lamb.

My personal political and social stances and beliefs:

I don’t really ever dni people, but if you are a radqueer, a pro-contact paraphile, an rpf smut reader or writer, a queer exclusionist/puritan, a bigoted feminist (terf/radfem/kill all men idealist/gender critical type), an unnecessary gatekeeper, a cop lover, an anti-shipper, a server of any kind of baseless and harmful allegations towards anyone, or a bigot, please keep in mind that I do not like you, I do not condone you or your actions, I do not support you and I may actively express this distaste towards you and others like you in any media I may post, create or share. However, those who are actively trying to better themselves, recovering or reforming from believing in any of these or identifying as any of these are welcomed with opened paws! Politics wise, I am based around leftist extremism and believe in philosophies like revolutionary, anarchist, and pseudo-communist/socialist beliefs. Please keep your distance if you are strongly against any of these beliefs. If I find that I am in your dni list, I will promptly block you to help us both have the best and safest online experience possible.

Fanfiction info:

I take fic requests, but I reserve the right to refuse any if they are based around a topic/ship I am uncomfortable with. Also, my asks are open because of this, and I have anon turned on so people can request a fic they may not be comfortable with people on their main account knowing they requested. Please use this feature properly. I reserve the right to any anger, cynicism, or mistrust I feel towards any anons or asks I receive that do not fill this quota. Please do not ask for donations or money in my asks, the answer will always be no.

Requests will usually be completed within two week’s time, unless under unique circumstances. Please do not pressure me to write if I’m taking a while, I will complete it eventually!

Most of my fics will be Ace attorney based, but I may write some about other fandoms from time to time.

Please be aware that I do write smut fics. If you are unable to handle sexual topics, please be aware of your personal limits when considering reading them. I will also have some fluffs and non-smut fics for you to read if smut is not appealing to you! However, many of those fics will be locked, so you need an account of your own or a guest account to access them. All smut fics and fics under 1,000 words will be unlocked for anyone to view!

Interaction and activity:

I probably won’t reblog or like as many posts as others, only my own things, my friend’s things, ace attorney fanfiction and things I thought were important or I want to remember. I will usually comment on posts to interact instead!

While at first glance, my blog might seem a little negative or down-in-the-dumps, I can promise you I am not a usually negative person! Again, I just don’t reblog a lot of things you might usually see a “normal” tumblr user reblog, and I definitely don’t reblog as much. More stuff is in my likes, which are public. Sifting through those might give you a better idea of who I am in a natural sense if you may be considering following me.

Ledo —

Favorite thing about them: It's a hard tie between her design elements and her passion for what she cares about. I love how her design has come out, in part because of how long I've picked away at her over the years waiting for a chance to play her, and how everything fell into place with the campaign's setup, but I also love how passionate she is about things: her work, her goals, and even her problems. Coming off of playing Oriana, who has a tendency to downplay a lot of her emotions due to her anxiety, it's been a good change of pace. Ledo is pretty calm most of the time but won't hesitate to say what's on her mind if she thinks it's important.

Least favorite thing about them: She's really hard to pinpoint morally/alignment-wise. I've settled on lawful neutral, but she flip flops between wanting to actually do some good and not caring about others at all and it's one of those things that will probably either go one way or another as her story develops, but for right now is just hard to feel out without regularly writing or playing her.

Favorite line: "If the universe wanted us gone so bad, it should have done a better job at killing us." for a specific line. But I'll echo your sentiments about their little campfire talk. I had never gotten a chance to show Ledo angry and when a little bit slipped with her "I am no damn pirate," comment, that was satisfying.

brOTP: Already adoring the vibes between Ledo and Char, they get shit done. But honestly I can't wait to see where the relationships with the other characters go, too. Especially Celeste once they get to really talk about Twalan one on one and maybe even Foaly at some point if they ever get to swapping war/battle stories.

OTP: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) You've seen him. I've only let his name slip once, but you've seen him on this here blog. That's all you get.

nOTP: You've also seen him but do not yet know his name. There's a lot of people in the world she would sell to satan for a corn chip, but she would pay for Satan to take this fellow.

Random Headcanon: In-character, her steel guardian Drache is based on a drake for one primary reason: a joke between her and her father. One day he asked her what she might want as a pet, and she said a dragon. She eventually learned that this was not possible, but the family in-joke remained. Out of character, the reason he's a drake is because I didn't want him to be a dog or a bear, and nothing else felt right. I originally was going to make her an armorer or artillerist artificer and she was gonna have a small monkey automaton, but after reviewing the sub-classes and realizing neither of those actually felt right and battle smith felt like the most useful sub-class, that automaton eventually morphed into Drache.

Unpopular Opinion: I doubt this technically counts, but I honestly think looking back that Ledo would have been better as a Pathfinder character. The inventor class is perfect, and I very well might replay her one day if I do ever get to join a Pathfinder campaign. But she feels like she fits well into the current party so I don't dwell on it too much.

Song I associate with them: OH boy. Currently her main song is "Queen of Kings" by Alessandra, but specifically this cover by Annapantsu for thematic reasons. "Runaway" by AURORA was her main theme before that. I have... a very long playlist for her I am still fine-tuning.

Favorite picture of them: I still think this is the best headshot I've done of her, even if I need to update the horns:

Wisteria —

Favorite thing about them: She's just fun! Half of my enjoyment when it comes to thinking about Wisteria is considering the fun things like what she might wear, how her spells might appear since she's a dancing-based bard, or what kind of shenanigans she might get into.

Least favorite thing about them: Intelligence is absolutely her dump stat and hoo boy is that gonna be hard to get used to if I ever do get to play her in some kind of game. She also has no sense of personal space and is the worst kind of nosy.

Favorite line: We'll come back to this one day. One day...

brOTP: Her little eladrin bard gang back home. The tightest clique of court ladies and performers the fey have ever seen.

OTP: This gal's not looking to settle down or just pick one... but I could be convinced if the right opportunity presented itself.

Random Headcanon: Since Eladrin can change their "season" willingly, back in the Feywild she would do it on a whim or based on which court she was performing in, but she heavily preferred spring since that is the court she originates from. However, once she enters the material plane and the idea of the courts is no longer looming over her, her "season" tends to change depending on her overall mood for a while, at least until she starts understanding that seasons in this plane are a set timespan and then she starts adhering to that a bit more as she settles.

Unpopular Opinion: Probably gonna need to actually play her some to get an idea for what this might be.

Song I associate with them: A bit of a cop out if I'm being honest because I haven't worked on her playlist yet, but "The Willow Maid" or "Round and Round" by Erutan because they feel like songs she would perform to

YESSSS

favorite thing about them: waaahhhh so much. god i love zane. his character arc is so so good. His dub voice is I think my single favorite dub voice so far ( a high honor; I love a lot of the dub voices!!), I love how he can go from mumbling to a snarling roar in an instant. I love his Hell Kaiser design, I love the way the show storytells through his deck and how he plays it. He's also in my Single Favorite GX Duel so I think that counts as a Favorite Thing.

least favorite thing about them: genuinely trying to think about. what my least favorite thing about him is. hm. I do adore dub zane but it's a shame a lot of his relationship with respect re: dueling and himself and others got cut in order to play up a little bit of a "edgy mid-2000's tough guy bully older brother" characterization with him in the dub; the respect thing is such an important part of his character and it sucks to lose that!!

favorite line: sorry theyre all dub lines but "CYBER END DRAGON.... IT'S BEEN REAL" *EXPLOSION* still makes me go absolutely insane and "he's got one" re: jaden desperately telling him that he cant go, that syrus needs a big brother, literally makes me start crying. Also special shoutout to the fact that the dub specifically had zane tell syrus he loves him on two separate occasions!!!! That's so dear to me. Sub wise I do also love "I don't need an assistant" re: yubel being like 'i'll help you down on your way to hell.' he just goes hard.

brOTP: his bond with syrus is my single favorite yugioh siblings dynamic and every time i think about them im just like ;__; aauuaaghhhwwaahhhh......could talk about them. for ages. I also love his friendship with Jaden and Alexis!!! Zane Truesdale has Three Whole Little Siblings!!!!!!!!! I know and see the truth!!!!!

OTP: you know i gotta be on that idolship babeeeyyy!!! I did not expect a gx ship to weasel into my brain but he and Atticus just make me so soft. Why don't you come with me into the light and maybe you'll fucking calm down. love CAN bloom between a NIN fan and a Jimmy Buffett fan.

nOTP: never could vibe much with zane/jaden as a ship????? idk. thats his little brother to me. also again if you ship him with syrus im biting you. and im biting you. and im biting you. and im killing you.

random headcanon: zane alan truesdale my autistic aromantic gay nonbinary competitive pokemon player........... he is transneutral to me. his ideal gender is a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 floating steel cube with the hell kaiser jacket on it. He listens to Tool. He'd go to raves and stand again the wall with his arms crossed. His special interest as a small child was printers. He loves old computers. His favorite Pokemon is Dialga. i could go on.

For fanfic: That's a little bit of a toss up. I just got done posting my latest MEA longfic. So it will be a while before I return there. So I think Trev, my female inquisitor has to be it.

For original fiction: It's Ruo. She started as a character I used for RPs. But now she's a whole person featured in her personal crazy nightmare series.

Black and white speckles shimmered in the air. They didn’t attempt to amalgamate into a whole or serveral wholes. So far, they merely danced in the dim light like dust motes. No screaming, no staticky whispers. But Ruo remained watchful. The muted colour room that resembled the safe parts of the Inbetween was empty. She didn’t trust the room or the speckles. Circling the cloud, she realised it filled the entire space. She could even be breathing it in. As soon as the thought occured to her, something inside her throat caught. She coughed and choked. Looking at her hands, static buzzed under her skin. No longer solid, but an amorphous cloud, she couldn’t hold shape.

Ruo screamed. Only a shriek came forth.

ooh very gladly, one portion of thoughts on aki coming right up! (disclaimer: i’ve watched up to 80 eps of 5ds until now, so that’s the scope of my opinions)

how i feel about this character: if my tumblr layout wasn’t enough of a hint, i really love aki. she’s definitely the best love interest in ygo, both in terms of my personal favs (though asuka and yuzu are neat too) and, like, objectively (as in best written, most complex). she’s got some great tropes in her character, fantastic intro and development and her relationship with yusei makes me tear up at every duel they play. also her design and deck make-up are just >>>

all the people i ship romantically with this character: yusei. i’m so glad this is a canon ship because this content brings me undue amounts of happiness. the start of their relation was what particularly hit me, with their initial duel and the one in the hospital, then how he consoled her after the whole thing with divine, taught her to ride a d-wheel (built one for her??) — yusei’s as precious as can be and she deserved someone like that so bad. as an optional no. 2 in this short list i’d put sherry — their ship appeals to me far less, but, y’know, lesbians on motorcycles. i’m a weak human sometimes.

non-romantic OTP: hmm. actually, i feel like aki has little to no relationships apart the one with yusei — she was deliberately isolated from others by divine, then when he died yusei seems to be the only one she really trusts. crow and jack appear really distant from her, although they are friendly towards one another — it struck me when crow specifically mentioned how aki hangs out with the signers not so frequently and i just get the impression she doesn’t fully consider them as her friends. i’d put sherry here because they’d have a nice vibe also as besties on motorcycles and also maybe rua and ruka? aki taking care of them is really nice and though, of course, they won’t be her friends the way a person her age would be, it’s still a good relationship.

unpopular opinion about this character: i wrote that i like the make-up of her deck, so, to clarify: black rose dragon is just great and the overall aesthetic of the cards fits her perfectly, but the way it’s constructed, game-wise, is absolutely garbage. why does she have a plant based deck and plant effects for a non-plant ace? why are her best tuners suited to a different star rating than 7? why does she not have cards that would alleviate black rose’s self destruction? i play rose dragons in duel links and it makes me just livid how stupidly this all was planned out because it doesn’t make sense even with adjustments that konami introduced later — and, consequently, they’re making her play some really bad duels in the show. i mean, she could be so damn strong if they admitted her some properly designed cards? i get that she’s one of the more powerful love interests anyway, but, come on, asuka could have gotten a playable deck and not aki?

also idk if that’s unpopular, but i want to say it: she’s probably the only character in the whole series whose psychic powers feel justified and make sense. they have more downsides than anything else, but they’re still ironed out into a real strength in the end, they add a lot to character, her personality is built accordingly, everything clicks together.

one thing i wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: apart from giving her a better deck and a chance to kick some ass with that? definitely a better ending to her relationship with divine. yeah, he was a toxic, manipulative bastard who fucked her up bad in the head, but he was the single most important person in her life for so long (if not forever, before yusei) that randomly killing him off feels so unsatisfying. let her defeat him in a duel? let her break free of him on her own? the guy caused her so much trauma, she should have had the chance to overcome that (and him) on her own, instead of such a bland resolution.

Josie usually sends sweet little I love u's to Cedric. Cedric is more apt to text if Josie is late just to check on her.

Cedric would be more confrontational than Josie. Josie doesn't like confrontations or making a fuss.

Story wise it'll be Mystic Direction (Eli's Band) Jonah Reagan (when he starts his solor career) and Lucas's band when they were together.

Josie will be the permissive/authoritive and Cedric would lean more towards authoritarian/authoritive.

7. Do either of them have secrets even the other doesn’t know?

I think that Josie will have the most to learn about Cedric. it won't be that Cedric would purposely keep secrets from her but how do you tell someone everything when you're literally an ancient god? There are things he probably doesn't even consider important enough to tell her.

Josie had him over to watch one of her favorite movies...."How to Train Your Dragon."

10. What do they love about each other the most?

Cedric loves how selfless and warmhearted Josie is. She continues to volunteer at the shelter with her dad, Evan. She adopts neglected animals that need a good home.

Josie loves that Cedric is a veritable treasure trove of knowledge. And here you probably expected her to say it's because he's a dragon. Not gonna lie but that was a huge plus but if she didn't feel safe being alone with him he wouldn't have had a chance dragon or not. To her he's the missing piece that makes her whole.

I was tagged by @bougainvillea-and-saltwater, thanks a lot!!! I'll be doing this about the protagonist of my current fic, Tatianna!

1. Favorite Tavern

Tati doesn't spend much time in taverns. Maybe the Frozen Hearth for its proximity with the College of Winterhold.

2. Favorite Drink

Spiced Wine! It brings her back to the King's Effigy on Solitude, after she helped restore the festival. Free wine and meat pies, stomach warming!

3. Travel Companion

Tati usually travels alone. Game wise, it's more practical to travel on her own so she doesn't risk losing a non essential follower (which is why after the Dawnguard DLC, Serana will be a frequent companion in travelling, since she doesn't die); Story wise, I believe Tatianna to be quite a reserved person; it's not that she doesn't like to be around people, just that she needs her own space. Sometimes, she would like to be more open to other people, to work in a team, to let people in, though.

4. Wealthy or not?

She has acquired quite the amount of gold with her various travels around Skyrim, her becoming Thane in three holds and the archmage of the College, and I'd say she has become rather wealthy.

5. Worships the Aedra or the Daedra?

Tatianna was raised within the Vigil of S'tendarr, so she mostly opposes the Daedra on principle. She doesn't hate all Daedra, thought, and there's one particular Daedra that will have an impact on her life... As for Aedra, she worships S'tendarr (for her upbringing), Julianos (for being a mage), Kynareth/Kyne (since Kyne was the one who taught the Thu'um to mortals) and Akatosh (because she's Dragonborn).

6. Biggest Fear

To lose control of herself, or sense of who she is - again (story wise). To become a "bad" person, to hurt her loved ones.

7. Pet Peeves

I've never thought about it.

8. Do they like being dragonborn?

When she first discovers it, Tati can barely believe it, and often questions why her. Then, she begins seeing at a responsability first and foremost, and while she is fighting Alduin, she doesn't question much the meaning of her nature. After defeating Alduin, questions will resurge, specially when she finds out about the First Dragonborn...

9. Favorite faction

The college of Winterhold. She hasn't given much thought to the other factions around Skyrim, and is pretty much a mage at heart. Plus, she has a certain "lone wolf" streak to herself...

10. An object of sentimental value

Never thought much about it, maybe the first enchanted robes she wore as a vigilant, because her father, who was a vigilant, gifted them to her. They serve as a something to remember her family by, even if she's not with the Vigil anymore.

11. Hobbies

Alchemy, reading and collecting Dragon Priest masks (in the case of my fic, it's not only the mask she will be collecting... 🤭)

12. Favorite city

Hard to say. She made her home in Morthal, but it is more a town than a city. Whiterun is radiant and welcoming, and so is Solitude, but she feels a connection to both Morthal and Winterhold - she is a mage, after all.

the first dragonborn who lived under the dragon rule trying to secure every last bit of fragile power to survive, conflicted between his humanity and his dragon blood, is told he can't be the master of his own fate.

the last dragonborn who knows no one else like her, is constantly warned to not let power consume her or told she's "the ultimate dragon slayer", told her fate is hers to discover.

maybe all he wanted was to have power over himself, because he never knew a world where he could do that.

and he is puzzled to find out that she doesn't want his power, because she has power over herself.

she's like him, dual in nature, human and dovah, yet she's nothing like him, she doesn't subjugate anyone, and doesn't allow herself to be subjugated. it's a balance he never thought was possible.

suddenly, he's fascinated by his rival.

Favorite character: Wangnan my beloved (haha, no come back king, i miss you) Least Favorite character: I feel its too easy with this series' large cast, so I gotta name a reoccurring one. I mean, probably Buelsar? He's one of Yama's Mad Dogs, but he didn't give off much of an impression, design or personality-wise. Baragav was way more memorable. 5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):

Wangnan+Bam or Khun (or both) -I like both dynamics equally but for wildly different reasons

Edorsi+Ehwa (literal hot girl summer)

Goseng+Horyang (technically the only canon one)

Karaka+Yuri (enemies to rivals vibes) -a bit more now that Karaka's getting more of a conscience from hanging with the heroes

Khun+Shibisu ("khun my love") -a holdover from previous fandoms. I do often go for the dual strategists juice

Character I find most attractive: Yuri Ha Zahard, the berserker fighting style combined with the rose aesthetic really is quite the combo. Character I would marry: Lero-Ro. He's attractive, powerful, and a reasonable/loyal mentor figure--an absolute win! (He's also Wolhaiksong now, which is the only organization in the Tower that I actually trust not to be bastards.) Also, that voice... Character(s) I would be best friends with: Probably Shibisu. He's the most down to earth, and we'd have the most in common.

a random thought: it think that--out of all the unshown Family Heads, the one I want to see most right now is Tperie, the wielder of the Eyes of God. He's the one who created the Opera Lighthouses, that can observe anywhere in the Tower, and I have to assume that he's also deeply in the know about the situation. I'm also very curious about why Repellista has one of them (I've been wondering about this since I found out what the Opera was). An unpopular opinion: Idk what of my opinions in the this fandom would be considered unpopular? My Canon OTP: Goseng and Horyang being super cute together is all that I desire to fill this hole in my heart My Non-canon OTP: The Checks-and-Balances trio Most Badass Character: Ha Jinsung. Up until Part 3, he felt like the dragon that everyone was too afraid to start poking. (Except S&S apparently...) Most Epic Villain: King Zahard stole this spot the moment his current self appeared and no-selled everything that was thrown at him. There's still a lot of mystery surrounding him and I want to know everything. Pairing I am not a fan of: As much as I like their teamwork and teasing dynamic, I think I'd rather the relationship between Wangnan and Ehwa remained platonic. Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I can't really say anything at this stage. Favourite Friendship:

Character I most identify with: Shibisu for sure. (tbh with his relative strength and involvement in current events, I'm on constant pins-and-needles for his safety.) Character I wish I could be: Eduan. Give me your kids, drunk, you don't deserve them.

Dear Yuletide Author,

Happy Yuletide season! My favorite time of the fandom year :). I am always happy with any gift, so no pressure and feel free to ignore any prompts/suggestions!

Without further ado, my requests!

1) Rivers of London (up through Foxglove Summer)

I’m getting the other books for Christmas so I doubt I will have read them by Yuletide, so if you could avoid spoilers for anything past Foxglove Summer that would be very kind! But I couldn’t resist requesting RoL anyway, because I am SOMEWHAT OBSESSED. (Also I consume it as audiobooks so apologies for any misspelling!)

Soooo I love Thomas Nightingale an unhealthy amount. Stylish, self-possessed, an INSANE TANK-DESTROYING BADASS, with a dust-dry sense of humor and deeply buried trauma. What’s not to love? I also like Peter although DEAR GOD BOY keep it in your pants, for real. I love their relationship, how seriously Thomas takes his responsibility to Peter as his ‘master’, how exasperated Thomas is with Peter’s experiments (and tendency to only use his brain to make pop culture references).

Ship-wise: I love gen, I like Peter’s love interests (except the jazz vampire, I forget her name) but would prefer a story not focus on his relationships, I personally ship Thomas/Varvara secretly in my heart. I haven’t read any Thomas/Peter but am willing to be convinced!

Things I love: Thomas being a badass, other people talking about how much of a badass Thomas is, master-apprentice dynamics, protectiveness (going either way), Thomas’ adventures pre-RoL, Peter please stop telling people you’re a wizard I’m begging you, daily life in the Folly, Molly and Toby, cop talk

Things I DNW: the usual (rape/non-con, permanent major character death). Canon-typical violence and gore is fine.

2) Dracula

Yes I’m basic and obsessed with Re: Dracula (the podcast), sorry not sorry. I'm also Magnus Archives trash so I have imprinted on Jack Seward like a baby duck, but I love every single character!

So I read this when I was much younger and didn’t really engage with it on a Fannish level, so I’m absolutely delighted by all the tumblr discourse surrounding dracula daily and re: Dracula. Seeing fans talk about this book from 1897 the way they talk about Supernatural is just so weirdly charming to me, so really I don’t have any specific requests re: characters/plot/etc, but I would love to see some old-fashioned fanfic, if that makes sense. Shipping trash, h/c, crossovers, AUs, meta, songfic, bodyswap, genderswap, sex pollen, soulmate, etc -- everything you would ever see on a cliche bingo card. (I’m an Old Fangirl, sue me) What kind of fic would get written if this book had come out in 2005? Or 1995? (Honestly that goes for any of these requests, I love this stuff)

If that doesn’t float your boat, no worries! Things I would love: OT3/4/5/+, Jonathan and Mina OTP 5EVA, Jack/Abraham, Jack and Abe’s adventures when Jack was in school, the Suitors having adventures (esp pre-canon), Everyone is Poly except Dracula, Everyone Is Poly Including Dracula, what-ifs (Lucy vs Mina, Mina vs Jonathan, etc.), Victorian sensibilities, Victorian sensibilities being absolutely wrecked, train travel, boat travel, horse travel, gothic atmosphere

3) Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

I've been playing DnD for *mumble* years and this movie was the first that really captured how it FEELS to play Dnd. It's not the lore, gods and kingdoms, it's the party of different classes trying to accomplish a small scale task chaotically. I love that you can tell in the movie when they fail a skill check. (Though I am still sad that we didn't get any real Bardic magic from Ed. I love a good bard singing during fights!)

So meta is highly encouraged! Anything acknowledging that it's a game, the rules of the world, etc. would be delightful! Showme the players if you dare haha

I also really enjoy pretty much all the characters from the party, I am a total sucker for Found Family in all its forms! I also adore: Ed and Xenk's ridiculous dynamic, Ed and Holga's platonic bro-hood, Holga as Kira's warrior surrogate mom, Forge and his scheming, Simon's awkward crush on Doric, Jarnathan and the poor patrol board -- basically everyone lol. I adore backstory -- all the stuff that gets referred to in the opening montage, how everyone met, various previous adventures. Or future adventures! Where to next?

Just let me hang out with these doofuses some more haha.

Shipwise I ship Ed/Xenk but am happy with gen, please no Ed/Holga (their platonic-ness is too precious), I think anything else is fair game. DNW: rape/noncon, character death. DND-typical violence/gore are fine (and somewhat encouraged haha)

That Book is not for You

Sai and Jade are looking for books for their parents to read to them. The 2-year-old twins are snooping around the book shelf to find an interesting fairy tale to hear. Some they heard, they wanted to hear a different one.

"How bout the Four Maiens?" Jade asked. Sai then grabs the book and threw it behind her and the book flew at the window to where the wolves sniff it.

"Bowing! We heard that stowy alwedy." Sai pouted. Jade frowned that her sister only picks herself a fairy tale to read. Sai hoped it was a scary story she would want to read. But Jade was too scare of those favorite stories of her twin.

"No fair, Sai. I want to pick next. Mommy says today I get to pick whichever stowy I want." Jade then stumbled back and fell back near the shelf. Causing a book to tip and fall on the floor. "Hey, was that?" Sai asked pointing at the book and grabs it. Something caught her eyes.

"Ooh, Vampires and Werewolves? Guide to hunt them? Wow!" Sai, with her eyes sparkled finally felt satisfied. Jade screamed. That's when their father, Sage arrived to see what was going on.

"Girls, what happened?!" Asked Sage.

Seeing Jade crying. He knew she was too sensitive, unlike Sai. "Sai, I told you to be careful. Your sister is too sensitive." Sage said, though he was just not one to scold her. Sai then shows him the book she wants him to read.

"Can you wead us this story?" Sage's eyes popped to see what kind of book she is holding, as and it was full of teen content, not appropriate for toddlers like the twins. Then takes it back and puts it back on the shelf. "No, Sai, this book is not for kids. And it's not for you either."

"Aww!" Sai crossed her arms, defeated. Sage then calls Yang for a question. "What is it this time?" Yang asked.

"Why is this book here?" Sage asked, holding the book. Yang recognized it belonged to her uncle. "Ugh, I told Uncle Qrow to burn it. It gave Ruby nightmares since we were kids." Yang sighs. Disappointed that the book was not burned long ago.

"Guess he forgot to do it." Yang, using her semblance to burn the book. She then turned to the twins. "Now than, Jade. Have you picked a story yet?" Asked Yang. Jade nodded and showed her a copy of the book. "Fo Maiens!" Jade cheered.

"But that stowy is boring!" Sai pouted again. Yang chuckled a bit. How cute it was to see children with personality. "I think fairy tales like the four maidens might be exciting and terrifying at the same time."

favourite thing about them

I really like how fucking bonkers darkstalker's actions are when you take them out of context. like. "guys the 2000 year old man just woke up now he wants to kill all children ?? 😍😍😊😊😲😲 more at 6" is so fucking funny to me. I also like his design a lot, especially in his cover,, I'm a bit sad more people don't add his creepy black eyes.

Anemone is probably my least favourite seawing main character but I like her design. She has that sticker of appreciation. I wish she killed her mother because I hate coral

Moonwatcher's book is probably my favourite out of arc 2, I enjoy her entire character and wish we got to see more of her genuine personality past her book.

Darkstalker being turned into a dragonet. He should've had a big dramatic death, not being turned into a child.

Anemone's personality barely lines up with her first arc one? and it really bothers me?? since most of the arc one cast remains the same personality wise to jade mountain expect for anemone and it is bizarre.

Moonwatcher literally not having a personality past her book. also her entire love triangle thing just pisses me off because of how boring and repetitive it is to read. why didn't they just solve it in like book 2 maybe beginning of book 3 then spend the rest of the arc about the actual main fucking important stuff??

I geniunely don't remember any specific line that I enjoyed from all of these characters because I read most of these books 2-4 years ago.

I do remember one about not everyone being straight black or white evil or good from Moonwatcher, so maybe that. I really liked that line.

darkstalker x clearsight or fathom. It is extremely toxic in both sides. Darkstalker is extremely manipulative and overall an asshole. He shouldn't be paired with either of them. Darkstalker x clearsight especially, when its being seen in a good light, makes me deeply uncomfortable seeing how awful both of them are for eachother. Clearsight, while not being nearly as bad as Darkstalker, does kinda constantly point out Darkstalker becoming evil in the future which y'know maybe not best for a romantic relationship to point out your partner's (potential, since in legends it wasn't actually known if he would since they are just futures and they aren't 100% going to happen) turn to evil, and Darkstalker's over-all extreme manipulation and just being awful in general.

random headcanon

darkstalker's scales in the modern day are half afflicted with severe scale rot, causing them to have a mangled and disfigured appearance due to all the time spent in the damp, wet mountain without sunlight for thousands of years.

fav thing about them: contrasted with anzu, she’s quite the self-sustained, individual love interest figure that is not defined by her relationship with the protagonist (the bar was on the floor but still) and i really appreciate it. she’s probably the most independent love interest personality-wise, when i think about it? i personally love cyber angels, one of my definite fav archetypes aesthetic-wise. besides, she got a great ending in the final episodes, giving a nice sense of closure to her character.

least fav thing about them: probably too little screen time and character development, meaning retrospections, relations etc. she had inklings of dynamics with the kaiser, with her brother and other characters, but i feel like these went by hugely unexplored, which is a great shame, making her lack depth.

favorite line: not even anime-related, but the sassy dl tag event line where she tells you to remember to check the cards she sets. great reference to her tags with jaden

brOTP: kaiser ryo. they made a fun duo at the beginnings of gx and i think they could get along really well

OTP: nothing too original; jaden. he doesn’t pay much attention to her, especially considering how she’s supposed to be the love interest to his protagonist figure and all, but the almost-confession scene was cute and i just like the conceptual dynamic. the initial episodes when they had only just met had a great vibe too.

nOTP: chazz. i have built up considerable cringe resistance throughout all the yugioh series i’ve watched, but way their relationship is directed in the anime makes me want to jump out of a window. every. single. time.

random headcannon: judging by cyber angels, she’d enjoy sf movies! besides, all these ‘loves dueling, doesn’t pay attention to boys’ hints scream lesbian to me and i like to listen.

unpopular opinion: fubuki is a terrible brother to her, with zero regard for who she actually is of respect for her independence. argue with the wall.

song i associate with them: hmm no specifics, maybe “it’s time” (imagine dragons)? it fits her individuality and personal dilemmas, especially with what to do after she finishes dueling school, and it seems to offer a nice view on her, so why not

Hello! I don't know if you've been asked about this before but I love your analysis and reflections and I'd love to know all your thoughts about Zennezu if you don't mind 👀⚡🎀 Thanks so much for this blog!! 😊💝

Thank you again for your patience, as well as your comments on my fics and stuff in the meantime (even on Bird Fic, kya~ thank you <3). All my thoughts, hmmmmn…. Well, clearly I am a fluffy ZenNezu shipper and ship-content creator now, but I sure didn’t start that way. This may be long and rambling and mixed between analysis and personal taste. (Actually, it turned into almost 4000 words.)

So. First a little background. I usually am not much of a shipper. The very few OTPs I have all ended in horrific tragedy, and when romance is a big focus of something I’m otherwise enjoying I usually end up not paying much attention to it in favor of all the other elements I like. This is so much more the case when you can tell they’re going to wind up happily ever after. So what happened to make me so soft and fuzzy about the Kimetsu ships, when I otherwise usually don’t have an appetite for happy fluffy romantic endings?

Three major factors: 1. I’m obsessed. 2. I love these characters and want to see anything and everything about them. 3. Romance wasn’t actually a big element at all in canon, so it left me with an appetite and curiosity for it.

Even though I figured from long ago that ZenNezu would be end game, initially I was somewhere between indifferent and put-off. As much as I love Zenitsu, and I acknowledge that Ufotable the added the “run around and chase Nezuko” bit and removed the part with Zenitsu adoringly talking to Nezuko through her box, and as much as he can be defended for being lonely rather a pervert, the fact still stands that his level of appreciation for girls makes the characters around him uncomfortable. His most cringe-worthy lines at the Butterfly Mansion are all straight from the manga, and even though he was easily one of my favorite characters by the end of my initial watch of the series, I was very put off by his “girls are all queens” surface-level comments and more disturbing pleasure he took in the presence of girls (especially when he could physically interact with them), not to mention his pathetic introduction bothering a complete stranger and displaying that he doesn’t actually take girls’ feelings into consideration.

All this made me inwardly groan, feeling bad for Nezuko, figuring they were going to wind up together because she’s a saint who can find the patience to deal with someone like that, as he clearly wasn’t going to be desirable to any of the rest of the female cast. Enjoying the series well enough despite this, it didn’t bother me terribly much, pairings happen, whatever, I have a history of ignoring them. But one day, well and deep into caring about this whole cast like they’re all my children, I realized something. Isn’t… isn’t it cute how they both get their strength from taking naps? W-wouldn’t it be cute to see them innocently take naps together? Naps to protect each other? Oh. Oh-h-h-h-h. Oh dear. Oh no, it’s cute. Oh no. OH NO.

And that was how my warming up to this pairing started, it very quickly grew into “I love these children and I want them to be happy, being with Nezuko will make Zenitsu very, very happy, I love seeing him happy, happy Zenitsu” but was still a little reserved about Nezuko. Zenitsu was going to make her happy, right? It wasn’t just going to be a case of Nezuko having gotten fond of him over the course of everything they’ve been though, he is actually going to be her taste and make her heart go “kyun” right? Oh Nezuko, oh saintly Nezuko…

Let’s take a moment to pause here and think chronologically, though, as well as analyze their personalities and tastes. Neither of them are particularly picky, we can start there. Aside from fussy busy-bodies like Aoi, as long as it’s a girl, any girl is Zenitsu’s type. He’s desperate, and he’s painted the whole of girl-kind in pretty similar, not always realistic rosy colors. Even though he’s been used and abused by so many girls in his past, it’s his desire to believe that each new one he meets will fit that rosy imaginary color he paints over them that he chooses to let himself be duped, because he really is that lonely. I’ll give him that, sure, he’s a healthy young man with an interest in physical touch, but his dream in Mugen Ressha gives a good indication of what he’s really looking for: companionship, someone who likes spending time with him, someone who will find him useful and believe in him and look to him for protection, someone who likes him enough to spare him the physical intimacy of simply holding his hand. This is all an extension of what Zenitsu desires as whole, hoping he can better himself enough to be reliable and valued in general. Picturing it in the form of a significant other is one very vivid way to focus all those feelings, resulting in that rosy ideal which Zenitsu probably knows in his heart of hearts is too good to be true. That’s why he probably doesn’t think he’s ever going to find it, and therefore why he’s all over any slightest chance of attaining it.

My gosh, if being abandoned over and over isn’t enough, the fact that none of the girls he dated in the past were ever willing to even hold his hand hurts so much.

Nezuko, though, grew up in a secure family with a good relationship to observe between her parents. She probably always envisioned growing up to be like her mother, the quintessential “good wife, wise mother” (a phrase coined later on in the Taisho period to idealize the traditional roles of a woman). She cooks and cleans and sews and the first fanbook even tells us she was good at using an abacus, so she can handle family finances like a pro. Her traditional values probably made her tastes pretty standard, hoping for a reliable protector, but also someone who might be as kind as her father and her brother. But as for what makes her heart go doki-doki? The extra comic at the end of volume 3 tells us that she does long since have a type, it’s a person who’s like a Hisha.

Hisha: a chess/Shougi piece that can move an unlimited number of spaces in horizontal and vertical directions, and is crowned a dragon when it enters enemy territory.

So, yes, this is the part where we all smile and point at Gotouge and say, “I see what you did there, Wani-sensei.”

I find this reassuring; it tells me that Nezuko can find her heart squeezed at how cool Zenitsu is instead of just coming around and liking him because she was flattered by his affection and learned to see how nice he is and stuff. There are plenty of nice Demon Slayers who are strong and cool protectors, but that ZING that Zenitsu has (when he’s asleep) is something that can make her heart race. I’m all for this. I hinge so much of my ZenNezu feelings on this Hisha comment.

The second fanbook states that Nezuko initially had trouble sorting out her memories, and because Zenitsu gave her two such different impressions, it felt like memories of two different people, but over time the memories overlapped to form one complete person. We could say that she and Zenitsu had two first meetings.

Initially, when she was in the box, her little demon heart did go doki-doki; it was the first time a boy besides her brother had protected her, so even though Oniichan is Number One in her heart for the general duration of canon, this encounter was sure to leave a flattering impression. However, when they met face to face that night, he was just some confusing dandelion yelling and screaming about weird stuff, and then he was just a confusing (and possible bothersome) dandelion wanting to hang around her and give her flowers and stuff. It’s anyone’s guess just how “there” Nezuko was at this stage, as she does seem to gain back more of her own will and thought processes over the course of the series, rather than being guided by very, very simple rules to govern her behavior.

Zenitsu feel in love at first sight, and the second fanbook tells us he asked Tanjiro about her human personality, seeing as she wasn’t fully there. He was initially doubtful that anyone so perfect as Nezuko could exist and figured Tanjiro must had been biased and therefore exaggerating, but can we blame Zenitsu for being a smidge guarded? He’s been let down a lot, after all.

We know from Taisho Secrets and side novels that Zenitsu spent a lot of time with Nezuko during their long recovery at the Butterfly Mansion. Even how much more thought we see Nezuko display in the Train arc, she probably underwent a lot of mental development in this time, and my guess is that due to how much he interacted with her, this is probably when Zenitsu went from being a strange dandelion to a strange companion. She probably focused more on the goldfish and the pretty flowers (which he did take her to see!) and any flattering mention of her brother, though. Zenitsu, I’m relieved to say, seemed to genuinely care about what would make Nezuko happy instead of selfishly assuming something like “she likes me too, she wants to marry me.” But knowing Zenitsu, he probably assumed that her willingness to spend time with him was an indication of being willing to talk marriage once she was more herself again, though.

Let’s pause here and put on our Oniichan goggles, though. Early on, Tanjiro has to insist to just about everyone that Nezuko is still her own person with her own thoughts and feelings. Being a demon has taken a lot of her freedom to act on her true nature away from her, but he knows she’s still in there and he treats her like an equal human being. He had to watch over and over as people see his sister and only think, “demon.”

And then there’s his friend Zenitsu, who looks at her and thinks, “girl. Girl! Girl. Girl. Sweet girl, adorable girl, best girl in the world.” And maybe that’s a little bothersome, but yes, someone gets it!! Someone understands! Even though Tanjiro’s initial concerns are keeping Nezuko from being bothered by unwelcome advances, as long as Zenitsu is willing to respect that Nezuko is not entirely able to speak for herself now, he seems pretty approving of Zenitsu (provided Nezuko decides she likes him back). I’d like to think there was an unspoken promise between bros on what boundaries to follow. Besides that, Tanjiro believes in Zenitsu a lot more than Zenitsu believes in himself, so Tanjiro probably wasn’t worried about the “strong protector” role a future husband should fulfil. Or at least, Tanjiro doesn’t seem concerned once he gets to know Zenitsu, he’d have rejected Zenitsu flat-out on that first meeting. Zenitsu, you are so lucky Tanjiro is so forgiving.

However, for as much as Zenitsu sees Nezuko as “GIRL!! Girl, girl, girl!”, he’s still got his rosy vision that conveniently clouds out any disturbing realities. She is, after all, a demon.

This is something Zenitsu never actually had the chance to struggle with, and I would have really liked to see him challenged by that reality a bit more. He never witnessed Nezuko’s berserker mode, nor did he ever see her struggle to keep from eating someone, he wasn’t even awake to watch her fight like a violent animal/angry toddler on the train. Had there been a scene of Zenitsu forced to face how terrifying she had potential to be, it would had really sold his commitment to Nezuko specifically, instead of only Nezuko as his most likely girlfriend candidate.

On the train, Nezuko has the good fortune of seeing another side of Zenitsu, getting one hell of a doki-doki moment. As she’s gaining more self-awareness back, it probably made those doki-dokis more complex too. While I understand there wasn’t a good opportunity to fit in the pace of the story, I love that Taisho Secret of her concerned about him before he wakes up. Instead of him just being that boy who shows her pretty things and says nice things about her Oniichan, this is when he starts becoming something a little more unique among all the people whom little demon Nezuko has bet and who have been nice to her.

In the months that follow, we don’t get much deviation from this slow development. Zenitsu’s feelings toward Nezuko don’t really change at all, but there’s another thing about this ship: neither one chose the other over anybody else. They sort of just came together, Zenitsu gets hooked on one girl at a time, but what if someone had come along with an interest in him? At what point would he had given up on Nezuko? Probably pretty quickly, if someone was serious enough about him. It wouldn’t have been a break up either, since he was still in the pursuing stages (might be more of a break-up conversation with Tanjiro, who had been tacitly supportive).

Actually, for most of the remainder of the series, the affection that Nezuko and Zenitsu build for each other is done when they’re apart, dwelling on their thoughts of each other. For Nezuko, we see this come out after the Swordsmith Village arc in her sunlit elation to see him again, and her efforts to greet him. She very clearly recognizes him and is happy to see him, a big difference compared to how she was more elated by the sight of a fishbowl before. In Zenitsu’s case, this deepening of his affections and running away with his thoughts and feelings results him declaring once and for all, this is her. He’s found her. This is the girl who he will be committed to his whole life, in his heart she is already his wife.

When human!Nezuko is gaining her memories back, her first impressions are of the boy showing her pretty things and giving her flowers, someone who probably has a crush on her, rather than thinking back to someone who she may have had a crush on. (Those cool impressions probably hit her later, I’m assuming, given the stress of the moment.) Romance is not immediately on her mind, though she does quickly recall having friendly affection for this boy for has always been so sweet to her. And Nezuko, handling his surprising level of affection gracefully, helps Zenitsu off the battlefield while he’s in terrible pain (though she probably was too, my poor girl, that fight with demon!Tanjiro was so rough). But honestly, not only is she probably too overwhelmed by everything to think much about romance, but she probably doesn’t take Zenitsu very seriously initially. She knows he’s got a tendency to overexaggerate, and it’s nice that he’s so sweet to her, but since he acts all fluffy and silly around her she probably thinks he’s not being that serious either. Furthermore, she’s got a lot of people to suddenly care about, Zenitsu has a lot to contend with for trying to get special attention. Hell, Zenitsu was probably awake and causing a racket while she was frantic with worry that comatose Giyuu might die. While she did remake Jiichan’s haori to fit Zenitsu’s later, see spent her time in the hospital mending Giyuu’s haori (Nezuko, baby, doesn’t your hand hurt though!?). While Zenitsu was swept up in happy “Nezuko is human now, we’re totally gonna get married” feels, he probably didn’t even notice that he was only one slice in a very big pie of memories that Nezuko suddenly found in her lap and had to slowly chew and digest.

So… this brings us to the extra post-canon comic in the second fanbook, which I initially did not like very much back when it came out in February. I’ve come around a lot to it, but what really hit me at first was “oh no, Nezuko really is only going to accept this marriage because she’s a saint, he’s not being desirable at all.”

But, treating it with a little more patience and sympathy for Zenitsu… he’s just gotten what he’s always wanted, of course he’s going to stop striving a bit and get blissfully carried away in it. And Nezuko, the ever sweet, isn’t going to stop him.

Some of the other commentary in the fanbook states that Zenitsu, for a time, found himself terrified of how girls could be sweet to his face while hiding their true thoughts about him. But, finding that Nezuko was not at all two-faced, he nearly “died and went to heaven” as the exaggeration goes. He doesn’t like to work hard in the first place (but does, because it will make people like Jiichan proud), so getting away with being spoiled is too big of a temptation to resist. Nezuko is sensitive to what makes the people around her happy or uncomfortable, so she never makes any request of Zenitsu. She’s so grateful to have their new little family that her happiness is everyone else’s happiness, she doesn’t really desire a heartthrob romance, even if being a wife and mother is an eventual goal. And, without being under any pressure to make someone proud, Zenitsu gets swept away and indulges.

Thank you, Tanjiro, for putting a stop to this.

He’s still rooting for Zenitsu, since this is his friend and he knows it would make his friend happy to wind up with Nezuko, but he’s setting himself up for failure, or setting Nezuko up to be cheated out on a good match at this rate (if she were to accept out of being nice). Very, very thankfully, Zenitsu responds well to pressure. By this point Nezuko has gotten so used to sweet but indulgent Zenitsu that he seems she totally accepted that his Hisha side didn’t exist anymore, if it even existed in the first place.

Good for Zenitsu asking for her response a year later (when they’d be getting to the legal marriage ages for the Taisho period anyway), he knew he still had shaping up to do to earn her affection. And Nezuko probably needed time to build some admiration for him again, since the doki-dokis were so gone. Even if he couldn’t use that super cool Thunder Breath anymore, it would probably catch her attention to see him strive again, to put effort into being manly, specifically for her. It wasn’t just the Thunder Breath that gave her doki-dokis, it was the Hisha knight-like attitude too, whether asleep and acting on his inner potential, or awake and bravely defending her based on his own goodness and faith.

I hope that in their married life, Zenitsu will retain that sort of manliness in being a provider for her, even he does get indulged a lot at home.

Now for how this plays into some of my fanwork and headcanons:

You know how I said all my OTPs were tragedies? Yeah, I love a good dose of angst. I did start writing a single-scene fic one time of injured Zenitsu desperately trying to cover Nezuko from the sun while waiting for Tanjiro to find them, and in Nezuko’s panic about the sun she starts losing her self-control over her appetite, and Zenitsu is forced to confront that the girl he loves could very easily kill him. I never finished it, though, and it was embarrassingly self-indulgent.

For my big favorite AU of a monster fanfic, I did add more ZenNezu on the massive edit, because by this point I just enjoy ZenNezu so much that I wanted more of it. But!! What I really like about working with it in this fic is that there’s a conflict: Demon!Tanjiro. In this canon divergence, Human!Nezuko and Zenitsu get to interact more than they ever did while she was a demon, and they both already have affection for each other, but the lingering fact that Tanjiro is technically their enemy gives me some tension and angst to work with.

Yes, I wrote a One Shot of Zenitsu and Nezuko as fresh new parents, but it was a bit of a dark dive into Zenitsu’s feelings of inadequacy. But domesticity comes with some inevitable fluff anyway, and likewise it felt embarrassing indulgent, and I can’t write fluff without a little bittersweetness. M…maybe the reason I’m not a shipper is because I’m easily flustered???

I’d like to think that Zenitsu got a desk job that he worked hard at because he wants to be a provider, and Nezuko does find his hard work attractive. I headcanon it was at an electric company, because hahahaha, electricity. I’d like to think he had a long career in that company (and although his colleagues know him for having a bit of an extreme personality and being obsessed with his wife, they sometimes catch glimpses of a very, very strong side of Zenitsu—like, scarily strong), and that when he’s old and retired in the Postwar Economic Miracle, he buys a fancy camera to take pictures of Nezuko (instead of “say cheese” it’s “Thunderclap and Flash!”), and he takes Nezuko to Paris because that’s the romantic thing to do. Also, I don’t like moustaches as a rule, but I totally approve of old man Zenitsu having a fluffy moustache.

World War Two, though… I’d like to think that if his job had him in the city, he was extremely reliable when it came to protecting his family in case of bombing. I’d also like to think that this was when the Kamado family moved to the city, because Nezuko was worried about Kanao and her nieces and nephews, so Zenitsu made sure they were all together. Inosuke might had taken the opposite route and taken his family to the mountains to shelter out there in the wild.

AAAAHHHH, listen to me being so self-indulgent with headcanons, I pride myself on sticking close to canon in my fanwork, I will never produce this, AAAAHHHH, I’m embarrassed~~~~I---I’m not a shipper! No! I don’t have a shipper’s bone in my body! Who needs romance, it means nothing to me, I don’t get swept up in happy fantasies about young newlywed Zenitsu and Nezuko, really I don’t, I take what canon gives me and I stick with it, I’m here for bromance and comradery and fights to the death, I—I don’t need disgusting fluffy feelings, ew, ew, no, really-----ahhh, too flustered, too flustered, too flustered, no, no, no, no, no, no, WHEN DID I BECOME A SHIPPER, nnnnnnnnhhhhjjjj

Which is all to say that Zenitsu and Nezuko as a pairing really grew on me, even though it is essentially a fluffy happy pairing that only got surface-level interaction and was never seriously challenged. It’s got some shadows lurking in there, especially diving into Zenitsu’s heart, but in general this was a slow build-up of mutual affection between two characters with pretty simple desires of their own, and most of all, a desire to see each other happy. That makes it a good comfort ship.

And they’re both are sleepyheads, hNNNGGGHHHhhhhHHHHHHHHHHH
