I’ve noticed a pretty sizable portion of this fandom can’t understand symbolism or basic writing techniques sometimes. Sometimes, it seems to be born from not being used to Japanese media but even then…
Also Demyx is the Master of Master because he’s my mom
i can't even seriously respond to this ask after reading 'demyx is my mom' im crying

Help, i fell down a Marvel rabbit hole.
So the Endgame dilemma with Steve's decision had me thinking about other 'happy places' for Bucky and of course there's the obvious with Sam after TFWS but can we just for a minute think about Bucky maybe refreshing something nice from his time in recovery in Wakanda?
I found not a lot of fics but the thought of Bucky getting back there and kinda warming up with M'Baku again? This pairing just has something to me, especially with the whole grumpy but secretly subby White Wolf meets sarcastic domineering great Gorilla M'Baku...
Why would I help, lmao? I'm at the bottom of a very similar hole. The more the marrier! Welcome to the trash pile 💀💀
All good options, all good options, but I will say, anon, I welcome you to fully embrace the exhilarating option of: completely ignoring the events of Endgame.
As captivating as the idea of subby white wolf and domineering gorilla M'Baku is 😮‍💨... as much as I love all the ship content that has come out of Sebastian's and Mackie's banter as Bucky and Sam... I am weak for stucky. It's 🤌🏻everything about them🤌🏻 The childhood best friends to lovers, the wartime sweethearts, the going against the whole world for each other, the dying for each other, the living for each other.
Okay, so I'm laying my cards fully on the table to say that I hate Endgame, explaining why I like to ignore it. And with that being said, here are some anti-Endgame (some of them also straight up anti-steggy/anti-peggy) related metas that I find thought-provoking that I think you might, too. They're just to kick around the idea if you're interested in a different perspective that comes from what I see as deeper in the fandom (idk how true that is,though, lol)--something you might not have come across yet if you're new to this rabbit hole. Obviously, you don't have to read these, though! And I'm not saying you can't ship sambucky or Bucky x M'Baku. You're totally welcome to! I see the appeal myself 👀
Anyway, here:
Bucky's insecurities
No mourning of Steve
Secrets between Steve & Peggy
Endgame destroying Steve's character
More character destruction
Steve choosing Bucky
More stucky devotion
I'd rather Steve die
The no-homo-ing of gay ships in Hollywood
Steve and loyalty
Steve, the shield, Bucky, and Peggy
Steve's ending doesn't make sense (essay)
The Bucky Steve leaves behind
The look on Bucky's face
Uhh... I may have gotten carried away with the links. Listen, I just feel strongly, okay 💀💀
If you do find any good M'Baku and Bucky fics, feel free to send them my way 👀

Hi Esther, I hope you are free of your MCU marathon (but enjoyed time with your nephew).
One of the ideas I've been toying with this morning is that the reason Jonsa is Like That in the show is because it's free(r) of sexualisation. That ask from another anon about incest being morally reprehensible because it is the ostensible place girls and women should be free from the encroachment of sexual harassment/sexualisation made me wonder if the reason so many of us oscillated with Jonsa in the show because a) it was, genuinely, the only dynamic set up in any way that had emotional catharsis and relief without power dynamics until S7/S8 (even then Jon entrusts his power to Sansa); up until this point Sansa had nobody she could be honest with - this is conveyed by Sophie's acting alone, and b) the writers, the misogynists they are (the show is really a travesty for me but let's not go there), wrote Jonsa as a more loving and equal dynamic because they couldn't objectify her as a love interest. If I were to go into examples here, let's just focus on the reunion: it is completely and totally earnest and rewarded relief for both characters, and both perspectives are emphasised. We are usually shut out of the woman's in a male-driven romance.
Objectification is the problem in male-driven romance and really shows through with Jon/D/aenerys and I don't think it's just an issue of chemistry. There is something structurally deeper there that's wrong, and they failed to write it as a Gothic romance (which I think they sortttt of went for with Dragonstone and the tone of the relationship) and as an enemies-to-lovers dynamic (aka riffing off the 'hate to love' romcom expectations, less so any true tension as actual political enemies). The fans who enjoy JD in the show are really attracted to this element and it's no coincidence that this is the predominant archetype in romance genre fiction (and it's no coincidence JD attracted normies hgdjhgfi).
So I wondered if we picked up on the romantic elements in Jonsa... because it's not the misogynistic male view of romance. Which is kind of ironically counter to what that ask was trying to say - but I think this is actually argument for why women can be attracted to the motif in literature, the romance genre, fanfic, etc. because it is where there should be freedom from objectified sexualisation, and by virtue that is attractive, because the characters can meet each other with vulnerability and the female character can expect she should be safe with him (and the forbidden love is attractive lmao). This is only really possible with same-age/non-intergenerational incest and whilst I do think the incest motif in Victorian literature is not necessarily down to these elements, I do think there is a persisting reason on both sides (male writer side and female audience side, in this instance) that this dynamic might have attracted us? Obviously they're more aware of the incest motif in GOT, and probably teased parallels to other incestuous relationships for a reason, but is there the possibility they didn't even really know what they were doing?
This is with the hypothesis in mind that Jonsa either doesn't happen in the books or GRRM, for whatever reason, held that card to his chest, or they discarded the idea altogether.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, because whilst I do feel Jonsa is Romantic in the show, I think it's potentially more to my sensibilities. No way did I ever expect D&D to write a compassionate, mutual romance lol.
P.S. to address the refutation - 'Then why does Kit Harrington look at his sister like that' - I don't know what was going through that man's mind. I am not familiar enough with his oeuvre to say one way or another - in terms of comparing his romantic acting choices - but I would still potentially write that off as the reasons I've described here. Women's view of romance in fiction is often quite different to men's. (I am not prescribing gender here, just speaking generally, and speaking to specific traditions between men and women's spaces).
(related to this ask)
I’m fascinated by this message. Yours is the first, “they didn’t mean it to be romantic” take that I’ve heard and found believable.
it was, genuinely, the only dynamic set up in any way that had emotional catharsis and relief without power dynamics until S7/S8
Dude, even at the end of s8, other than the Lannisters, it was the relationship that escaped with any dignity. It still blows my mind that they didn't allow Jon and Arya any bonding time in s8, and that their last scene is Jon telling Arya to come visit, and her basically being like, "thanks but no thanks bro" with the audience getting the distinct impression, this is the last time they'll see each other which is actually what D&D wanted to convey based on the script. Mind boggling! I've said before, Jon and Sansa's dynamic and the themes of their relationship carried through the last three seasons in a more coherent, meaningful way than any other relationship. One could argue that's because the actors cared and carried that emotional journey through with their acting, but I think it's in the writing too.
the show is really a travesty for me but let's not go there
I'm a show fan, I still enjoy show verse fics/art/meta, but I understand! I haven't watched an episode since the finale, and I didn't/wont watch HOTD either.
wrote Jonsa as a more loving and equal dynamic because they couldn't objectify her as a love interest.
This has merit because apparently in the script of when Jon met Dany they describe Dany as "cute as a bug" or something, so to them, they did reduce Dany to her beauty, the dynamic to "hot people meet, hot people bang" without regard to the political reality that were meant to be working in (as in, a marriage alliance was something Dany mentioned before coming to Westeros, would have made sense in s7 to resolve their stalemate and was only discussed in s8 because people realized they were interested in each other, but at that point it wouldn't have been beneficial politically??? WTF?) and also without care for the ramifications of what they did to Jon "I will not father a bastard" Snow immediately trying to father a bastard with an invader who blithely talked about letting his family/people die and massacring everyone in KL. I too see genocidal conquerors who don't give a shit if my loved ones die a horrible death and Westeros as a whole is conquered by ice zombies as romantic prospects, but I expected better of Jon! The idea that that registers as "mother of my child" to him might even be considered a red flag as to his mental state.
Obviously they're more aware of the incest motif in GOT, and probably teased parallels to other incestuous relationships for a reason, but is there the possibility they didn't even really know what they were doing?
I think it were it were only the jaime x cersei and jonsa parallels, we could conclude they exist to tell us, "jonsa is the good/non incestuous sibling duo." Or, if it were only braime and jonsa parallels, we could conclude, well this is to show what mutual care and respect can do for people. Or if it were only nedcat and jonsa parallels we might conclude, these exist simply because it will help the North rally to them/to show them as the new heads of House Stark. But,what are they getting at with all three, all romantic pairings? What can possibly be gained from the sam x gilly and jonsa parallels? There's no connection there unless it's romantic, no? Or the robb x talisa and jonsa parallels, why shoot them the same way? Now that I think about it, the recreation of SamGilly scenes with Jonsa may be the most damning, because I can come up with explanations for the others (Robb is KitN, Jon is KitN, maybe they wanted to film them in the same way?), but the SamGilly stuff is just romance tropes they used once and then reused for a sibling duo. The fact that all these other pairings had sex is a little sus. At the very least, it wasn't only accidental actor chemistry. Some of those writing/framing choices show intent.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, because whilst I do feel Jonsa is Romantic in the show, I think it's potentially more to my sensibilities. No way did I ever expect D&D to write a compassionate, mutual romance lol.
I'm gonna say something outrageous here, I don't know that D&D are as dumb as most of the people in the fandom claim. A lot of fans blame them for things that I believe are a version of plot points Martin gave them. As in, they were holding him responsible for "destroying" Stannis the same way they hold them responsible for "destroying" Dany, and they were blamed for King Bran too, but all three of those things are gonna happen in the books. What else…they also hated Jaime dying with Cersei. That’s happening in the books too! SO, it's possible that a lot of the crimes we hold them responsible for, were them trying to pull together a story Martin is still expanding, and mow down developments that even in his hands, I'm simply not gonna care for. I mean, maybe we're getting the ideal Jonsa in the books, but it's possible that Jon has more parallels/contrasts to Rhaegar in store for him and that he was meant to agree to a political marriage to Dany although he's in love with a Stark girl (which would tie in with the Jace/Sara stuff), and D&D thought, show Jon simply isn't dark enough, they couldn't do that, so instead they discarded the acknowledged Jonsa romance and the Jonerys political marriage and tried the weird, enemies to lovers/forbidden love thing with Jonerys that made no fucking sense and was universally panned by critics. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I do not know the beats Martin wants to hit, so I bitch about D&D while also trying to give them room for feeling helpless when it came to delivering on what might potentially be, a pretty convoluted wrap up. That doesn't change the fact that they mischaracterized my favs and really fucked up the landing, but before and after s8, Martin has compared it to the adaptation of Gone with the Wind, and I've pointed out before, that's one of the best book to screen translations I've seen. I'm not sure that I've seen a movie that remained as tied to the source material, so that lurks in the back of my mind in a positive and a negative way. Negative, Jon may go through a lot more shit I don't want him to experience. The positive, they understood some significance to the Jon and Sansa relationship even if they never fully clarified the nature of what was happening there.
P.S. to address the refutation - 'Then why does Kit Harrington look at his sister like that' - I don't know what was going through that man's mind. I am not familiar enough with his oeuvre to say one way or another - in terms of comparing his romantic acting choices
I actually did watch several of Kit's movies and some appearances in TV shows after s8 purely for Jonsa reasons. 😂 I wanted to know if he was a very limited actor so he couldn't express different types of love or if his anger/intensity always comes off a little sexual etc. Jonsas have posted comparisons of some of this, I can't find all the gifs now but Kit acts the forehead kiss similarly to how he kisses a romantic lead, he hugged Sansa in the same way he hugs his character's romantic partners in The Eternals and Testament of Youth (his fingers splayed across their backs and dipping his face into their neck). I didn't think he was a great actor, but I also didn't think he was incapable of delivering on the expected emotion. Other fans have said that he had personal issues during filming of the last seasons which explain his acting struggles, but in s7-8, he did just fine in scenes with Sansa, Tormund, Gendry, Tyrion... The only time he was consistently not delivering were Dany scenes, so I don't fully buy that. In fact, the specific look he gives Dany when he declared her his queen is one he uses on the red carpet for pics, (it's def his version of Flynn's "the smolder" lmao) it isn’t one I saw him using in a movie to communicate sincere emotion, love or vulnerability, so I think it's more likely D&D knew Dark Dany/dead Dany was going to be so hated they opted not to pull the trigger on Jon's story. It makes sense to me that they screwed him over in the edit attempting to appease Targ fans and keep them around for HBO's spinoffs.
I'm totally fine with that not working as an explanation for others, it’s an unpopular opinion, but the other factor here is that Sansa was incredibly jealous in s8. Sansa looked at Jon with heart eyes and then walked away in a huff when Jon looked at Dany during the feast (8x04). After that, I did see people who hated Jonsa and even professional reviewers questioning the nature of Sansa's feelings, and yet, nothing came of it. Sophie was always great, her acting was never criticized so what to make of that other then, she was instructed to deliver that performance, I don't know. Makes me wonder what instructions D&D were giving Kit, cuz Cogman was out there after s8 defending them by saying they’re responsible for crafting every performance that we loved. 😐Sansa had clear reasons to dislike/distrust Dany, the jealousy issue was clearly personal and about Jon/his feelings, so, like some of the parallels, this speaks to D&D's intent, not to the actors being bad. Some said it was just another example of D&D's misogyny that Sansa and Dany couldn't get along, obviously, I disagree. Sansa wanted the North's freedom, of course she wasn't going to be fine with giving it up, but there was an entirely different thread through their interactions and in the Jon/Dany scenes which inevitably involved Sansa in s8, all of which was entirely unnecessary unless there was more, something unspoken, there.
If you accept that, there's an awful lot of stuff that suddenly makes sense. That's where I always end up because imo, D&D wanted to do Dark Sansa, they teased it, they didn't do justice to her perspective even when she was right, they were critical of her treatment of Tyrion making him out to be the good guy even though he married a little girl and murdered his gf, and they wrote in their finale script that Jon couldn't forgive Sansa. On their own, would they also write the hero coming to have great respect and trust for her? Would they write her coming to power unprompted? Would they write her having an inexplicable power over Jon? Would they write Jon killing the most popular character to protect her for lolz? I don't think so. I think they were caught between a rock and a hard place and tried to deliver on certain Martin ideas without alienating the entire fanbase. As a lover of characters, I think that was a huge mistake, but judging by the success of HOTD, clearly, their calculations were correct.

heyy dude i’m watching ur podcast video rn and i saw some of ur posts about it can you please go more into detail about ur thoughts on this charming man and byler cus i feel like i’ve been screaming into the void about the smiths LMAO. i didn’t really get it w this charming man but i wanna see what you think 🙏
okay so im guessing youre asking for an explanation on this charming man & dont worry i have also been screaming the smiths into the void lately. okay so my thing with this charming man is like, it doesnt fit entirely into the perspective of either will or mike but there are certain parts that i think are just so fucking byler. i think mainly the admiration that the speaker has for the charming man is what really sells it for me; it is very very clear in the song that the speaker has a real deep & passionate admiration for him (& maybe even a crush but i dont think morrissey is ready for that talk yet & also, as a jewish person, he can go to hell.)
we got the first verse & ough DOGGIE this one is real byler coded. "puncture bicycle on the hill side desolate" could be a lot of things but the specific bicycle imagery sticks out to me a lot for obvious reasons i'm sure, originally thinking i was going to talk about how the lyric could parallel the swing set meeting since mike too in a way was left stranded looking for help during that moment before he went up to will,
BUT, i think it fits in even better when you consider will's absence from hawkins. "punctured bicycle on the hill side desolate" could also be imagery of will's bike, because god knows where it is now, & mike is seeing it just in complete misery.
the next line "will nature make a man of me yet?" okay when i tell you i have an interpretation for this one i MEAN IT. nature, in this line pretty obviously, refers to forces beyond one's control, & i once again think this is coming from mike's perspective (thought it could be easily applied to will's). okay hold onto your horses because this one is the wildest in the west
"will nature make a man of me yet?" – mike wheeler's internalized homophobia makes him unable to view himself as a real "man." by the forces of nature taking will away from him, perhaps he views this as a way of the universe trying to make him "man up" or whatever. i know that one makes me giggle so much. it hits harder if you think about it in terms of mike's obliviousness because ough thats so good, but it also can apply to will in the same way now that he's been separated from mike. but im sorry from mikes perspective it hits so much harder
OKAY now we're moving to will's territory. the next line i want to talk about is "why pamper life's complexity when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?" a big theme in this charming man is how the charming man is of a very higher class than the speaker, which can definitely be said about will & mike. so, this could be explaining will talking about how mike's situation is different than his, i have a deeper better explanation,
i think this line could refer to "why think about all the fucking shitty things ever when mike is so great." it's super implied in the show that mike & will always turn to each other when theyre going through a rough period, or that mike is always protective of will/wants to make sure that he's okay, so i think this may be will talking about why he should deal with the outside world, in terms of trauma or homophobia or whatever, when he can just chill out with mike & not have to worry about all that
okay, so. i don't want to talk about the "i would go out tonight" line because i don't really think it applies here & that's okay. but what i WILL go over next is the "this man said, 'it's gruesome, that someone so handsome should care,' " line because all i can think of when i see this scene is in s4 when mike & will are burying the body in the desert & will cant help himself but stare at mike. it's probably really "gruesome" (fucking AUGHHHH terrible) that someone as handsome as mike should care about him & his problems when he thinks that the probability of them getting together really sucks. even though his personality is great too, mike is a very good looking guy i will say myself & i have also thought this since i was a youngin. so the way that he is just so beautiful to will & also to anyone with eyes makes it even worse to be pining over him because god, he's just so fucking pretty?
"jumped up pantry boy, who never knew his place" once again talking about the difference in class between the speaker & the charming man. though i wouldn't go as far to describe will as a pantry boy. but guess what? will never knew his place until after he found mike.
okay finally the last two lines of the chorus but i analyze them out of order;
the "he knows so much about these things" is like OUGH that is VAN SCENE BEHAVIOR. i could 100000% see mike going "will knows so much about these problems i have & exactly how to fix them" or whatever, & in a metaphorical way you could make the argument that will is trying to communicate something along the lines of "return the ring" but trying to get a 1:1 match for that line is a bit tricky & a lot of a stretch since will is trying to convince mike to go for it, BUT what im trying to get at is that the line could parallel how will is giving love advice to mike in the same way that the charming man does to the speaker, & the speaker is as entranced with the charming man as mike is with will
I HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION! i should really organize this into a manifesto or something

Sebastian Sallow Myers-Briggs Type // Like Moths to a Flame Series (Seb x Male MC)
Since my series is told from Sebastian's POV, I thought I would take the Myers-Briggs test from his perspective too. My vision of Sebastian is apparently an ENTJ. The write-up is so scary accurate that it's freaking me out. LMAO. @honeybadgerdontcare394 - Thanks for saying you were interested in reading this (and taking one for your vision of Sebastian too!). @scilla-aster (if you want to try this too!!) I am so curious to see what other writers' versions of Sebastian's personality are. When I read other Hogwarts: Legacy stories, I like to imagine hundreds of different alternative universes where our Bash/Seb/(*insert nickname of choice here*) ends up happy and fulfilled with all our various OCs. (I have a very hard time reading stories that don't end happily for Bash.)
Notes re: his romantic compatibility with Damien (an ENFP), since they are essentially half-opposites (wow!): ENTJs primarily look for intellectual stimulation. As one of the most cerebral personality types, they enjoy debates, and they look for partners who open their minds to new ideas. ENTJs have a treasure chest of knowledge that they love to share with the right person.
^ Sebastian lucked out that Damien is a Ravenclaw and has an extremely curious mind.
ENTJs appreciate partners who can help them get in touch with their feelings because this isn’t something that comes naturally to people of this personality type.
I love this ^ because in my series Sebastian really struggles to understand and express his feelings. Damien is very in tune with his emotions and is not afraid to act on them. ENFPs see ENTJs for who they really are. ENTJs aren’t typically seen as warm people, but they tend to be extremely helpful, generous, and supportive. As one of the personality types who are most interested in people, ENFPs look deeper and notice traits about ENTJs that other people don’t see.
^ Don't mind me; just tearing up here. LMAO. I hope this came across in my series because it's one of the main reasons I wrote it. Sebastian needs someone to see him for who he truly is, and I'd like to think Damien does.
Their communication style chart (Seb - ENTJ, Damien - ENFP):
Tumblr media
ENTJs are assertive, competitive, and like a good challenge. At their best, they are bold and confident leaders who are willing to take unpopular action. ENTJs may be overly proud, boisterous, and willing to manipulate others to achieve their goals. At their worst, they can be narcissistic, overly focused on their own needs, and lack empathy for others.
ENFPs often support, openly sympathize, and actively offer help to others At their best, they are gentle sympathizers, who are easily trusted and accepted. ENFPs may be overly revealing and have difficulty being alone. At their worst, they can require too much attention and admiration from others and be excessively involved in the affairs of others.
YUPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. Okay, I'm done now. Here's a silly pic of Sebastian for reading this far :)

CPC CHAPTER 165+166
The warning earned a chuckle from me lmao. Because why did I literally gasp while reading the first line xd
The warning for eps 166...didn't make me laugh at all.
Yayy Gwen is finally awake!! I guess thanks Leland for removing the thorny plants so she won't hurt herself :|
Nah cause Leland really dare try to kidnap a girl who asked whether he's okay after she herself just woke up from an intense nightmare 💀
Bro has the GUTS. THE AUDACITY. To start ranting about the kids he's kidnapping.
Tumblr media
This scene is so emotional, and I am so glad Gwen is finally starting to know who Leelathae is. Though I won't lie, I'm a little disappointed that Leland is the one to tell her :/ I was expecting a family moment with Jack and the other pastel kids. But it's all good since she finally gets to know her :D
Tumblr media
I would like to apologize in advance. Serpent Leland kinda made me laugh due to his abs lmaooo.
But it's pretty cool how Gwen and Frederick sees Leland as a threat (tho unintentional), though with different perspective. Gwen sees Leland as a big bad wolf while Frederick sees Leland as a serpent.
HECK YEAH!!! You go, Frederick!!! For once, his ability to misunderstand something is actually resulting in something wonderful and amazing!!
Aww the Possum immediately hugging Gwen <3
Oh uh whoops. Can Curtis see through that glasses? Hopefully...
Guys, Leland is throwing tantrum again :/ but i can see how using Laverne as a weapon against him is a really useful tactic. Considering how in the past, he bought Laverne to be a replacement for Jack. So turning Laverne against him probably feels like a 2nd betrayal for him.
OOHH....Aww man. Damn. I can feel that comb hitting Leland's hand and pushing the thorns in. Ouch...
NAHH NOT CELSO!!! My man this is why you don't scream your move when doing stealth move 😔
Tumblr media
Did Frederick just do a Judo move.
I looked it up and this move is called shoulder throw or Seoi-nage.
BUT FREDERICK ACTUALLY, SERIOUSLY JUST SHOULDER THROW HIS FATHER, THEN PROCEEDS TO PLANT HIS HEAD ON THE WALL. Those laverne carrying are working. Plot twist he's actually buff lmao.
Ahwguwau Frederick actually learning from moments where he got hurt and being brave tho!! So proud of him <3
I love Aurelia and her comments man XD
Frederick immediately checking up on Gwen and making sure she wasn't hurt. These guys deserve their happy ending Lambcat c'mon :')
AURELIA FINALLY GIVING GWEN THE DIARY!!! PASTEL KIDS CHILDHOOD WJSJIWNSGEKA
But of course! Let's start from the beginning of chapter 166...
Lorena would be so proud if she see how Frederick tied his dad with her vines.
Yeah, Gwen definitely should start on the second page... Just reading the first page by glancing could lead to many misunderstandings.
May I just say, I love how Gwen is being stern(is that the word?) To Aurelia about how she needs to read that book and that she really want to know about her mother. Hah! Again, I love Aurelia's comment (this time about the war literally happening downstairs XD)
IT'S TIME. INTOOOOOO PASTEL KIDS CHILDHOOD WITH LEELATHAEEEE!!
(Cue that batman transition music (i forgot the era))
WUJWJWHWAIB THEY??? ARE ADORABLE!!! Awww Leelathae reading them a story with Jack and Gwen & Jamie's onesie!! Also their plushies!! I'm having cuteness overload....
Tumblr media
HAJSYAISYAJ THEY HAVE MATCHING DRESSES!!!!! Maybe Leelathae sew them herself??? SJSJSHJAUS
Tumblr media
Oh. Okay. That's not good. I suppose there's a side effect after giving birth to the children? That's...depressing.
But before we go deeper into that, birthday party!!
Tumblr media
I must say, I absolutely adore how chaotic Lorena seems to be lmao. Look at her and her little sword XD and Maria looking really elegant. She really does give the eldest sister vibe. Gwen looks so cute with the pigtails! (I forgot the hairstyle name). Jamie with the fruits and Gwen with the fruit and cooking utensils!
Also it seems that the pastel family is having a small party for birthdays instead of big ones like the plaid kingdom. I wonder why they don't invite the plaid family over? Blaine and Lance would be 6 and 5 years old at this time, so they're probably at the academy already. But what about Leland and Isolde?
Man, this family is genuinely so wholesome and that makes me even sadder for what's about to happen. CAUSE DAMN??? Leelathae passing out while holding the cake, and Jack noticing like 😭 AND THEN JACK RUNNING TOWARDS HER LIKE MARIA AND LORENA RUNNING TOWARDS GWEN I'M GOING TO CRY.
R.i.p cake (i had to do it)
Ahh I see. Okay. So the left ventricle (which is a part of the heart) is weakening and it can't strengthen back up? That's what I'm getting, at least. I wasn't aware something like this could happen. I'm just researching, and is Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM) the correct term for this? I don't know anything about childbirth beyond what I learn in school so... this one's purely based on searching the symptom in google.
Okay, let's see... *puts on glasses and squint my eyes* *clears throat*
Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) or also known as Postpartum cardiomyopathy is an uncommon form of heart failure that happens toward the end of pregnancy or in the months following delivery, when no other cause of heart failure can be found.
https://www.heart.org/en/health-topics/cardiomyopathy/what-is-cardiomyopathy-in-adults/peripartum-cardiomyopathy-ppcm
(This information is taken from American Heart Association website. I hope that's alright?)
Symptoms of PPCM that we've seen in Leelathae:
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Feeling lightheaded or faint
- Dizziness
For now that's the only things I can note. I mean, I'm not even sure if that is what Leelathae is going through. But it seems likely. I don't have anything to add on this matter right now, so what if we go back to the story. Shall we?
"I'm going to perish...from a broken heart"
OHHHHH, OKAY DAMN LEELATHAE. Man... this reminds me of the broken heart syndrome. It's pretty interesting. If I'm not wrong, it's a heart condition that comes from extremely stressful situation or emotions. And it is possible to pass away from it. So yes, you can die from a broken heart.
Tumblr media
Oh man this just got depressing real quick... The kids sitting beside Leelathae's bed, the medicines piling up overtime, Leelathe crying and Jack hugging her...
Leelathae :( she just wants to see her kids grow up and her husband man... and yet because a certain jealous man just had to steal a portrait...damn it Leland.
The witch!! It's her!! :0000
That's nice of her to offer to listen to Leelathae's vent :) though she does mistake her for a witch :')
Tumblr media
THIS WHOLE TIME. IT'S THE WITCH LMAO. Okay actually being mistaken as a witch has a perk this time!! And does this mean Leelathae can bake??? Like mother like daughter real.
The panel of the witch hugging Leelathae is actually pretty sweet haha. They're besties now X)
I wonder how this spell will work....
That's it for now. 2 episodes in a post! Wooo! I gotta stop procrastinating... this post was so long lmao.
Mono out! (Ngl I'm still in lmao)

I haven't been active in the byler fandom, why would redditors be mad at the play being canon?
Most, not all, but most active reddit users on the ST sub have been bombarded with byler evidence for the last year. So to remain sane through it all, they have resorted to insisting that almost every detail fans come across and try to share on the sub, are just mere coincidences.
This is because they've realized that if they are considering other really minor details meaning something bigger, that means they might have to start considering the possibility that the details pointing to byler are also intentional. This is how they cope.
You would think after saying 'it's just a coincidence' for the hundredth time, they might be starting to rethink their position on things, but the reality of the situation just isn't setting in I guess (aka they don't want it to happen so they are refusing to let themselves truly consider it until they have no choice).
The reason I still partake in the reddit sub, despite losing braincells over half the takes on there, is bc there are still a handful of users that are really smart and do great analysis on the supernatural side of the show, in particular things I have no knowledge on at all and would greatly benefit from looking at to expand my understanding of things and different perspectives.
The really smart ones that exist are usually indifferent to the romantic arcs in the show, although they do have a milkvan bias bc the straight bait is straight baiting. And so these are the few posts theorizing, that consider the details meaning something more, that just so happen to get support from the hardcore milkvans on there. And it's bc as long as it's coming from someone who doesn't think byler is going to happen, they will listen.
I will say the one thing that is sort of obnoxious about all of this is that regular fans without any ship bias, will pop on there semi-regularly with a post, accompanied by basic common sense questions like, 'wait this makes no sense...' or 'why did they do this this way?' in many cases, with the confusion surrounding the build up of Mike and El and Will's role in all that. These people aren't milkvans or bylers, they are just fans picking up on obvious subtext and they are looking for insight about it from fans. And every time they get bombarded with condescending and bitter milkvans that are having to defend mike and el's honor, and s4 really made this a full time job for them lmao. That sort of resentment has manifested into hating anything and everything that considers deeper meaning in relation to Will and Mike, but especially in Will's case. Because that's the thing, they have to deny any importance of Will's role bc Will being important fucking terrifies them. It means that everything could be important basically. It's their worst nightmare and they will hound you for even speculating something. It's insufferable to watch unfold honestly.
I say all of this bc it's important in the context of the play, given that there are a lot of theories out there swirly around, theories that mostly reside on Tumblr. Many of those theories are viewed by redditors as being crack theories that have no evidence supporting them (bc they come from bylers), like the weirdness around Alice not being in the play (and potentially connecting to Karen), or the fact that they insisted the silhouette of Henry's actor right before the cast announcement couldn't be him bc he was too old to be Henry (umm time shenanigans, duh), or that the truth about Brenner's involvement runs a lot deeper than everyone assumes.
And so naturally, leading up to the play, a lot of active (very vocal) redditors in both the main sub and the Hawkins AV Club sub, have commented on posts related to the play, trying so hard to convince others (themselves) that this play is not canon and we shouldn't waste our time with it because it wont matter in the context of everything going on in the literal show. They go as far as to insist it's not canon, even though it already was said to be canon.
And now with this post, they are again having to face the reality this show is a lot deeper than they have had to insist it to is combat byler speculation. All byler evidence is seen as reaching to them. And they'll do everything they can to insist anything bylers are speculating is delusional, which includes theories surrounding the play. All of that denial has led us to this moment, which will only hurt their ego as time goes on and they are being hit with sign after sign after sign... that it might just be that deep.

Whats your perspective on names?
Do you have any specific thoughts about them? how did you find yours? did it take long to? how many have you had? also your characters! obligatory "I Love Your Work!" (and i enjoy riffling though new and also rereading old), So from amaethon to cecil to danny to the King family and the Laithes family, their names are one aspect that have always stuck out to me because they all integrate into their stories while still feeling unique in contrast to each other! i dont miss that a lot of it is influenced by your interest in fae lore and your welsh heritage either. where does the name come in during your writing process, is it the first or last thing you think of? do you have a mish-mash of where you find them? any pettier more low stakes opinions on names?
(all this started bc i'm struggling to find a name, and want the perspective of another trans person :) !)
I changed my name when I was about 15 - it comes from a similar biblical root as my deadname, so basically I shortened my deadname and then looked for other names that it could be a nickname for.
For me, it really wasn't a long or involved process - it happened quite smoothly and easily, and I've never felt like I needed to try other things or find something that fit me better.
Johannes is a Dutch and German name - it's an older form of John and is like Ioannes / Yiannis in Greek, and it comes from Hebrew for God is gracious. It can be shortened to Johann, but generally my actual loved ones either call me John or Johnny, or they call me Hannes.
"Johannes" in German is kind of a stereotypical old man's name? A German friend was laughing a lot about it because she said that to me and I was like "Yeah?" and she was like, oh, yeah, that fits, lmao.
I do play around a lot with names, and I'd say that I take them from a lot of different sources and get creative with them. Multiple times I've called a character "Henry Sutton" without realising I've done it multiple times, which is why I've got a few Henry Suttons knocking about.
For more established characters with deeper backstories, I play around a lot with the naming process - I normally have a particular mouthfeel or aural impact I'm going for, such as a certain number of syllables or a particular "flavour", like a name that has a feel of a particular class or country or profession.
With that said, I think most of my names I pick quite quickly and feel out early on in the process - it's rare that a character of mine is more fleshed out and lacks a name, because I find a name is such a useful part of someone's identity and informs a lot of how they move in the world and are perceived and treated. Something like their appearance is far less important, funnily enough.
I like to employ some literal stuff - Valorous King, for example, is very aptly named in a way that can sometimes feel like a curse to him; Amaethon is actually one of the children of Dôn, but people don't really know old Welsh gods and goddesses very well, so it just feels like a random elf name; Ganymede Cavendish is named for a beautiful young lover of Zeus, and he is just as beautiful and victimised in the same way as his namesake.
Other times, I go with more irony or play with juxtapositions - name a character for joy or ease when they're generally miserable or tortured; name them something small when they're very big or vice versa; name them for darkness when they're very light, etc.
I'll often take forenames or surnames from things I'm watching or playing or listening to - when I want to pluck a name out of the air at random and am worried I'm using too many of the same names, but want like, "real" names that real people use and live with, it's fucking great to pick names out of the credit sequences of TV or movies and mash them up.
Sometimes I scroll through census records and stuff, but the problem with the number of characters I have is that I can't always do that - as much as it's realistic for many characters to be called Jones or Evans or Williams, I'd need to make a thing of it in fiction. Census records are great for older characters, especially from the 1700s-1900s.
The ones that are actually hardest for me is Latin names - Greek ones I'm a lot more comfortable handling, but my Latin grammar is fucking dogshit, and I often worry about mishandling a name or reusing one that's too commonly written already. Medieval Latin is alright to play with, but when I'm writing old Roman characters I just feel like I'm kicking my own ass the entire time.
I will say that some shit in that regard is just fucking lazy. I abhor the lazy tendency in fiction to introduce a Black character and call him Mr White or Mr Chalk or something similar, especially when it's contrasted with an evil white character and/or that character's best friend who's named Black or Ebony. It's not in itself that awful, it's just the fact that it's so overdone and clichéed, and comes from a really basic humour and sense of irony that doesn't really build on or create anything, just lazily says "haha, this guy's Black and this other guy's white, isn't that a thing?"
I don't actually have a problem with reusing some names a lot - John, Henry, Daniel, etc - and I will often just search "common names [country]" and play with similar names that jump between and change from different languages or change throughout history. It can be worth looking up legends or stories from a certain region or like, old wives' tales and stuff, because like...
Sometimes, the benefit of a common or uncommon name is in its cultural impact - a name like mine, a name like John, is ubiquitous, but that means you can draw loads of parallels to it; on the other hand, if you grab a word that's very much not a name, but is a place, an object, a common noun, an animal, a turn of phrase, etc, you create a tension around that character with the other characters around them, even if people aren't commenting on it directly and even if you don't tell the reader immediately that their name is unusual or noteworthy.
When you're playing with a name that has a lot of cultural impact within a culture you're writing, as a name or otherwise, it can be fun to have a name that will have a lot of resonance for the characters you're writing, but doesn't inherently have that same impact on the reader (or only has that impact if the reader is already familiar with them culturally, or is familiar with the niche historical/religious subject you're working with).
An obvious one in mine is Esben's pets, for example, are called Kottr the dog and Hundr the cat - Kottr in Old Norse means cat, and Hundr, dog. A lot of English speakers will notice the cognates there if they think about it, but I've had people who speak Nordic languages comment on it a lot because it's just a fun little thing.
Gellert Osgodby has named himself after Gelert the dog - but in Welsh, we don't use two Ls to make an "l" sound. In Welsh, his name would be pronounced more like Geshert (the ll sound isn't easy to transcribe in English). He's fucked that up, and that's part of how you can tell he isn't Welsh himself, and isn't a Welsh speaker.
I definitely am influenced most by Welsh and Irish mythologies and stories, and I do tend to play with some Jewish cultural elements a lot as well, if not directly with Jewish mythologies.
Part of that, I regularly say, is because of the way that Welsh and Irish stuff tends to be treated by US American creators who identify as Welsh/Irish/Scottish/ "Celtic" or whatever and just go for random butchery of everything in sight - it's not their fault they don't have any sense of cultural respect, because that's not the culture they were raised in, but it does irritate me, and like...
Because I get so snippy about Welsh stuff, I try to be a lot more careful handling other cultures, particularly in various ways oppressed or minoritised ones, especially who are often misrepresented in media in similarly clumsy, lazy, or just entitled ways.
For names in cultures I'm less familiar with and coherent with, what I actually do is regularly search the full name I'm using, but also like, search Wikipedia entries for famous celebrities that use that language, come from that country or culture, and are of the same caste, religion, or ethnicity as the character(s) I'm working on and basically just read a bunch and contrast and compare.
Sometimes I very explicitly go against a lot of cultural stuff depending on which cultures I'm drawing from - Velma Kuroda, for example, has picked a name very much at odds with the more traditionally Japanese name her brother has picked, and that has to do with family beef that I'll get into later in Little Devils.
In Derek Landy's Skulduggery Pleasant, people have three names - their regular name, their magical name, and then their true name written on their soul, by which they can be commanded and coerced; in T.S. Eliot's The Naming of Cats, cats have three different names - the name by which their human family call them, the name by which they're known to other cats, and then their secret, most innate name, known only to themselves.
Many of us have multiple names and go by different names in different circles - many Jewish people have a Hebrew name, and gerim might pick one when they convert; in Ireland, a lot of people have their names as Béarla different to their names as Gaeilge.
Some people go by their middle names or are called a completely different name to the one they were named at birth - Hell, some people don't even realise until they're adults that the name everyone's always called them isn't their official documents name.
And that's not even considering queer people and how many names we might cycle through, feeling out the ones that fit or don't, using different names in different circles or for different personas, using different names online or offline.
There's a lot of power in a name and in a naming, but there's also a lot of leeway and flexibility, and one name isn't the same to all the people who might use it - I try to reflect that living quality in lots of the characters I write and play with.
With a name, I would say it's important to think about how it feels in your mouth and in your hands - how it feels to say your name, how it feels to write it, how it might feel to write your signature, what spelling you choose or what characters it's made up of, what your initials might be, etc. What nicknames you might or mightn't like.
How does or would the name strike people, depending on who they are or where they're from or how old they are? Are you named for someone - someone people would or wouldn't recognise? A figure from myth, from TV, from books, a historical figure, a religious or cultural figure, someone you love, a relative, an ancestor? Is your name usually a name at all?
I know so many people with so many beautiful names, many of them unexpected, either because their parents or family chose them, or because they chose them themselves, and I know there's a lot of choice out there, but good luck with the hunt! I hope you find something that fits, and feels like it sings to you!

I wonder how Shoto must feel seeing how he didn't managed to reach Touya after everything he done? (I do think he reached Touya to an extent with the panel of them as kids and him calling Shoto by his name not his hero name) but from Shoto's perspective he must feel like he failed.
I think it’s less about feeling like a failure (though he definitely might feel that way, he just hasn’t said it yet) and more that he is shocked. Because clearly he underestimated how desperate Touya is for their dad. It’s not exactly something Shouto can personally relate to—that want. Considering how Shouto has been trying to rid himself of his dad’s attention for the majority of his life, and only very recently started accepting his dad’s attention and using it to his own advantage.
I think Shouto put his whole heart (literally lmao) into creating that move specifically for his brother. To stop him without hurting him. And Shouto CLEARLY subverted Touya’s expectations when he said this:
Tumblr media
And following all of that, they then had a connecting moment when he pushed against Touya—you know, hence their child selves crying together. It mattered for both of them. But Shouto came at Touya from his own “we lived in the same house and it was fucked up, but you can’t kill people bruh” perspective lol. Which, yes. Those things needed to be said. Touya needs to hear that he isn’t the only one who resents their father and that the family didn’t just, not care about how he felt. Shouto saying those things PROVES that to Touya—someone openly acknowledging how messed up the situation was, and that his feelings toward the situation are valid.
Because saw how hard he took it as a kid when a sibling couldn’t share his sentiment:
Tumblr media
So Shouto kind of making up for that lost moment meant something, obviously:
Tumblr media
BUT—despite the things Shouto has made up for, with his words, I and many others have said it already. Shouto was never going to be the full answer. This is just my way of looking at it—but for Touya you can split his needs up into two categories: Dad, and Family. They’re one in the same, but different.
Touya already spiraled and collapsed from the neglect from his dad over and over again, when he “died”. What broke Touya completely was upon his return home after waking up and he perceived the situation as his entire family burying him:
Tumblr media
So this is just my way of looking at it—there is Endeavor’s validation, and then there is Shouto, as a representative of the rest of the family’s validation. Touya needs both. Because as evidenced by his backstory, his mom and siblings were not enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shouto was isolated from the siblings, and had too much of his dad’s attention. So it’s fair to assume he doesn’t fully grasp how desperate Touya really is. And he may not even fully grasp that Touya’s desire to kill their dad isn’t purely revenge—it’s because Touya’s love for his dad has hurt him repeatedly, by his dad’s hand. And I’m not entirely sure Shouto actually understands that. The twisted emotions Touya is experiencing. Love and hatred both, for their dad. On the surface Touya just seems like he’s vengeful—which, yes. But we as readers know it goes deeper than that—he wants his dad’s attention, love, acknowledgement, all of that. He isn’t just angry. He’s sad and heartbroken too—which is a harder psychological wound to heal than just being angry.
There was progress though—I also think it’s interesting how Shouto starts pointing out how skilled Touya actually is, rather than being something like “oh great, here we go again”. Also, it wasn’t in the fan translation (which I wasn’t a huge fan of), but in the Japanese version he referred to him as big brother Touya. It was left out on the fan scans, sadly.
But it’s just kinda cool seeing them both subtly learn more about each other and it showing very slowly in the way they talk and think toward each other. So you pointing out how Shouto might feel does make me wonder if Shouto will start to really grasp the situation soon, and vocalize that he understands now that Touya’s feelings about their dad are not simple and cannot be washed away with words or actions from just anyone.

I'm still not over long haired minhee like-
request: i was wondering if i could request: how minhee would react to having a crush on someone a little older than him/how would he act around his crush in general?
pairing: minhee x older f!reader
genre: this is written in the perspective of an office setting
a/n: normalize romantic relationships with females being older than their partners! just a little reminder that these are purely based on what I perceive and what my knowledge on mbti (because i clearly have too much time in my hands)
main masterlist
Tumblr media
Alright we're taking about minhee here
The person who's known to be rather quiet yet mature and reserved out of all the members in the group
I read that he's quite studious too yike the disappointment i'll be to him
Anyways
If minhee's crush ended up being a couple years older than him, I feel like her would be quite intimated at first
Like he would be hesitant on approaching you at first or feeling anxious when you're near him
He's definitely someone who would admire his crush from afar, observing your movements as you conversate with your coworkers
For some reason I'm imagining this in a office setting between a senior employee and junior employee
I get the vibes that he'll try to make himself more mature (if he isn't already) to match up with you 'level'
His big eyes and soft smile while he listens to you talk, slightly nodding omg
I don't think he would tell his members about his crush first. If anything, he'll want to sort out his feelings first, concluding to himself that what he is feeling, is a crush.
He manages to hiding his feelings well, putting up a kind smile
But once he let's his guard down, he's an open book lmao
The workplace was busy, employees chattering and bustling. Your desk was a couple across from his. He could help but to stare at your concentrated expression, brows slightly furrowed as you bit your lip, trying to type something down. Your eyes suddenly travelled above your computer, meeting his dreamy eyes directly. Minhee darts his eyes away, covering his mouth as naturally as possible but in reality, he's a blushing mess.
I feel like once Minhee realizes that he has a crush on you, he ends up holding it with pride
He somehow finds creative ways to interact with you, even if it leads to him looking beat red in the end.
Majority of your coworkers have clocked out, you had to stay overtime to finish up with your work.
Minhee actually finished work a while ago but after seeing you stay behind, he thought that he'll stay behind too, to accompany you, even if you didn't notice.
But then he's purposely walk slowly past your desk to head to the breakroom.
"Oh hey Minhee! You're still here? Working overtime?" Your eyes lightened up, greeting him. His stomach fluttering.
He ends up doing some extra work on the empty cubicle beside you and that's how the two of you started to get closer.
Minhee fell deeper in love with you when he realizes how you don't stereotype or discriminate between the difference work classes, and treats everyone with equality.
I can totally see Minhee taking care of his crush. Especially when it get's busy and she skips out on lunch or when it's raining and you forgot your umbrella. Minhee is somehow always there.
Being on a higher level, you deal with more workload and stress and so Minhee is always by your side to listen with all ears about your rants. He's very supporting over the things you do, and never fails to let you know how proud he is of you.
You would sometimes see sticky notes on your desk whenever you come to work or after your break
"Remember to eat your lunch!" "The weather is nice today, get some fresh air during your break!" "You've work hard today, don't forget you're human and needs breaks!"
He loves to see your expression when you find his notes, your cheeks heating up as you hide your expression before glancing over at him, shaking your head while smiling.
He starts stepping out of his comfort zone to interact with you more, maybe even adding in slight teasing and jokes.
He might not realize it himself but he ends up finding opportunities to spend time with you, whether it be working together, grabbing a quick lunch together or walking home together.
At first he might seem to give off a more mature, quiet and cool vibe because he didn't want you to see him as someone too childish but as time goes on, he loosen up, showing more of his energetic, and playful side which you obviously accept with love
It might take some time for him to open up at first, especially if you are older than him, but once he falls in love with you, he's all-in. He pours his admiration, adding in the spark of fun and excitement in your life which you would not except from him. <3

Taeyong's birth chart analysis
DISCLAIMER: This is just a part of the analysis of the idol's natal chart, which wants to show a deeper perspective on the idols life. This analysis is carried out thanks to the data that appears on the birth chart. The point of this post is to entertain. [This analysis has been carried out with a possible birth time given by the idol].
Tumblr media
this man is a pisces rising with cancer sun in the 5th house, which makes him a very intuitive, emotional, creative and artistic person. taeyong has a tender heart and cares for his loved ones a lot. he's very childish and he's always looking for fun and pleasure in life. this dude loves all kinds of art: singing, dancing, painting, etc… like I said, taeyong is very artistic! his mood changes depending on the environment that surrounds him. taeyong likes socializing, but he considers real friends to the ones that have a deeper connection with him; he may have trouble letting go of relationships. having his sun in the 5th house makes him a natural leader. this position also makes him a drama queen along with his leo moon and loves being the center of attention; taeyong was born to shine. having his sun placed there can also mean that he's gonna have a lot of admirers throughout his life 👀. he's also very moody, melancholic and has a vivid imagination. taeyong's great at giving advices, as the members always say.
having pisces as his rising makes him see things in a deeper perspective. taeyong has his head in the clouds 24/7 and it can be hard for him to difference reality from his imagination. this dude is interested in fashion and his style can be very eccentric at times... that's all because of this placement.
he feels good when he's busy. taeyong is a hard-worker and a perfectionist. having his moon in leo makes him jealous, but not possessive. he can be quite stubborn and tends to exaggerate everything lmao. this placement also indicates that he has a strong need for approval and self-expression, that's why he doesn't like to fail in front of others; it hurts his pride. usually, this man doesn't take risks, unless he knows he's going to do a good job. taeyong enjoys entertaining others and it's very romantic <3. it's easy for him to express his feelings, but he can also be quite good at manipulating people. having moon sextile mercury indicates that he's not only a great storyteller, but also an excellent songwriter/producer! with his moon square pluto, however, he can have a hard time accepting and healing from traumas. sometimes his emotions tend to block his desires.
taeyong is aware of how people view him and how he should impress them. having his sun trining his ascendant makes him a noticed and respected individual. he's stick to his values and it can be easy for him to gain popularity… however, he might not know what to do about it once he has it :/ people see taeyong as a very nurturing, sensitive and empathetic person who's very passionate about his career.
this man loves to talk, specially with his loved ones with his gemini mercury in the 4th! this dude is smart, funny, restless, curious, and open-minded. taeyong learns quickly, but because he has so many different interests, it's difficult for him to focus on just one topic. this dude get bored easily as well, so mental stimulation is always key when communicating with him. taeyong talks in an easygoing way with his mercury conjunct venus and he doesn't like when conflicts arises.
mental burn out can happen a lot with his mercury square mars! this man is argumentative when he's at his worst and he also gets overly defensive. this dude has a bad temper… plus, communication and drive are at odds here. with his mercury square saturn, he can appear harsh to others when communicating. I also feel that he overthinks a lot and it's very hard for him to openly express his ideas, because of his low self-esteem.
this man is flirty af with his gemini venus and, as I said before, communication is key if you want to have a bond with him. taeyong is attracted to talkative, smart and curious individuals who can teach him how to be a better person. he also likes people who are more spontaneous than him and, with his venus in the 4th, he wants to feel comfortable with his partner and probably, in the future, have a family with them. so basically he likes to have fun with his partner, but also have a serious and long-lasting relationship.
with his venus square mars and venus square saturn, his physical and romantical needs can clash here and it can be hard for taeyong to know what he wants in a relationship. he can get involved with people he's not interested in and can also have very high expectations. taeyong tends to overthink his relationships a lot, since he fears inestability and rejection.
having virgo mars in his chart makes him a perfectionist. also, you know how obsessed this man is with cleanliness and health? that's all because of this placement lol. taeyong doesn't get angry, but he does get irritated easily. he likes teaching others how to do certain things, but he also expect them to do it right asap or else he will think that he's wasting his time 💀. this man has to learn to create harmonious connections with his mars in the 7th. taeyong is the type of person that stands up for equality and fairness, so he will confront people that makes others feel bad in some way. he's great at solving problems and he is also very persistant. this placements is great for dancers, since they tend to pay attention to every little detail about the choreos.
when it comes to work, this man is hella lucky and he always gets what he wants; taeyong is good at creating his own opportunities. having both jupiter in the 9th and sagittarius mc means that he is lucky when he is generous and practices what he preaches. this man right heart can also be a role model for all the previous generations. taeyong likes traveling and learning foreign cultures... actually, he benefits much more when he works in other countries. taeyong needs to believe more on himself and he also has to stop concentrating too much on details and learn to see the bigger picture from time to time.
taeyong does everything in excess with his jupiter square ascendant and jupiter conjunct pluto. he needs to be careful of not working too much or else he will face many consequences. he might also think that he's always right.
regarding his pisces saturn in the 1st and his scorpio nn in the 8th, taeyong needs to work on his self-confidence and start trusting his intuitive abilities. this man may feel like he's always a victim and it can be a challenge for him to study his past, accept it and let it go. he probably has experienced a lot of dark and painful experiences throughout his life, so now it's time to heal from them.

okay one more dunm.esh hater post under the cut
some dunme.sh fans really show their whole ass when it comes to le.ed and ta.de because yeah i mean they are of the mature age for their race and this is a personal ick but that just sounds like the age of consent argument to me that we have irl. i already had their character tags filtered for a bit because of all the shit i just wasn't comfortable seeing and the arguments in the replies, but it really does feel... like it's just weird to me. with chil.chuck i still don't like what happened, but seeing as he would currently be an adult irl, it's different in a way i can't really put into words? it's like your friend telling you about their horrible experiences in their childhood and you can't undo that, you're both in your 30s so it's been years. all you can do is know it happened, and be there for them? it's like shock but not really since he's a fictional character im not attached to. so it wasn't a total dealbreaker for the series but it was always in the forefront whenever chilch.uck was the focus and made it hard to fully appreciate it when such a backstory made me so upset the entire time.
and believe me, i tried to get over it because i thought i was just overreacting. i also try to look at his life and race from the same perspective i see the cl.ones from sta.r wa.rs where they could be alive for 10 years but also being 20 years old (something i still have trouble with to this day, actually)... but i just can't do that with these two though, it's like a final breaking point for me, and i think it's because it's so common to see young girls who have more developed bodies be constantly sexualized and not protected because "they look like that, what did they expect", something super personal to me, and to see it excused with "well their race is considered an adult at that age" like??? you get why that reasonably makes people uncomfortable, and why you'd see arguments about it lol. it's also deeper to me because non-white kids get this treatment irl all the time. but yeah that's fighting a losing battle esp on tumblr so i'm just gonna be a hater in the peace of my gc lmao. hater rant over!

Lmao the nerves of people to complain about Eddie and weddie in their tags only to find them fangirling over Hotline Miami, a game about making violence fun
People lack tact and self-awareness when they find themselves morally superior in takes about fictional characters. Sometimes people only manage to enjoy things from a surface level and never actually deep dive into what the game is trying to tell you. Ie, Outlast puts you in a scared perspective so all the people you see are scary and villainous and nothing more, and Hotline Miami is a fun game with bright colors so you're having fuuuuunnnnn.
Anytime I witness someone who can't budge from the idea that Eddie Gluskin is a terrible person and nothing more I always just question how much Murkoff Kool-aid they drank. Anyone who has the ability to look at Outlast from a deeper perspective would understand that it's a game trying to make you understand that "no matter how terrible a person seems to be, they do not deserve to be tortured like this".
Not to mention, Murkoff, Jeremy Blaire specifically, proved themselves willing to lie about literally everything they are doing and even about the case of Waylon Park directly to Lisa. Who's to say literally anything you pick up off the ground tells the truth either. It's very obvious that they didn't even know how to directly diagnose Eddie, he was just frustrating to therapists. Which, once again, proves they didn't have very good therapists.
But all this aside, the inability to mark down that people can enjoy things differently than you do and instead make yourself out to be some sort of morally superior just means they are terminally online and don't have enough conversations with real living breathing people.
Fiction is meant to be fun and enjoyed through many different lens, if you sincerely do not find yourself comfortable with one or another, you are not necessarily in the right, just that you don't like that specific reading of said fiction. I personally do not like stories that are simply just torture porn of Eddie towards anyone else, doesn't mean I find that those that write them are terrible people, just means we have different tastes. I like redemption and hurt/comfort and the idea that someone seemingly awful can have more to their life and deserve love and care. So of course, I make Eddie sympathetic in my art and fiction.

Same anon about the woobification of Wukong, yeah that's 100% right. Like there's such a lack of nuance and greyscale to the majority of fandom and it's so depressing. Personally I tend to look at chatacters in two ways: 1. How they entertain me during the show and 2. Then deeper character analysis later. (God I've rewatched LMK so many times at this point)
But like, fandom seems to have it so bad that if you like a character you 100% support everything they do! Like no! Spider queen and Iron Fan and Macaque and LBD are great villains and some of my faves! Because they so much fun to watch every time they pop up! I am entertained and thriving. But as people? Oh no no not the...best people for sure. But am I enthralled 100% when they appear? Again YES!
I think so many people get mixed up in fandom politics and drama that it feels hard to find the right people to vibe with anymore. And it's so prominent because LMK is such a tiny fandom.
Conversely, Macaque is my favorite. I'd fight him if I was a character in the show, but I'm not therefore I get to enjoy him as a fictional antagonist as much as I please. (Also I do find it funny that the majority of the fandom hates him on sight but LBD - who seemed to want to comit mass murder - seems to get a huge pass from those same people lmao!)
And also super glad I could brighten your day! I really love this AU so much. I may send you anonymous drabbles if I have the energy to write. :)
i would be honored if you decided to scribble your own ditties for the AU, if that's what you meant ; w ;
on the bit about nuance; i've learned to let a lot of the shit takes i see here go because i realize a lot of the fandom is young and admittedly i had a lot of shit takes in the past because things flew over my head. even now i'm bad at analyzing. i typically jump straight to this character is my favorite fuck you and everyone you love and i'm the most correct person here fuck you LOL but also it's important to recognize that you aren't the most correct person. it's about being open to other perspectives! and of course at the end of it you can just set it aside and be like 'yes i've learned and i've decided this isn't for me'
there's nothing wrong with mindlessly absorbing media but all that can go right out the window if you're tryna interact with someone else who has a radically different view than you about it, and you try to shout over them
also fuck LBD me and all my homies hate LBD. that being said, all of LMK's villains are REALLY good. rather than like. their motivations that are really just run of the mill villain stuff, their characters are so charismatic and there really does end up being hints that there's more to them than just absolute control. it's fun! the writing for LMK is just. really good. i need to rewatch but i have like this emotional thing about going over stuff i've already completed in case it makes me experience Emotional all over again kek

making the reader vegetarian in a twd fic: I think the exploration of hunting and killing animals for food (and actually having to look at meat up close - like nowadays, people who casually eat chicken nuggets can go without ever seeing an animal slaughtered, so I love writing about what it actually takes to kill and gut an animal for food and how that can mentally strain a person) is so interesting to write about, but it's also so interesting to write about someone being a vegetarian and holding strong on those morals even if it means they have less food options. especially contrasting them with an s/o like Daryl who is a meat eating man, and them bonding and meeting in the middle. I love writing relationships where it's like 'we disagree on this, we have different perspectives, but we won't argue about it constantly and it doesn't tear us apart.'
people who can't respect that type of writing philosophy are just ?? weird
THANK YOU. You are so right and I have said this before too when I was ranting about it last year.
I fully had reasons for making her vegetarian. It wasn't just because I am vegetarian but because it makes a really interesting dynamic between her and Daryl! And I totally agree—people underestimate how hard it would be to suddenly jump into the apocalypse (even for a meat eater) and to be killing and skinning and gutting and chopping up dead animals. It would be super hard. Very few people are like Daryl and can actually go out and hunt, even in the apocalypse. That's why Daryl does what he does. There are a lot of characters who we literally hardly ever see hunting/preparing animals in the show. Besides, my character DOES eat meat when she needs to. No matter how many times I emphasize that, it seems people still don't get it. Sorry she's not exactly like Daryl.
Oh but if reader has her own personality/isn't a badass who kills things then she's "unrealistic." I've read so many fics where the reader is a hunter, a martial artist, speaks ten languages, has a hot athletic body, is better than literally everyone else, etc., but being vegetarian is unrealistic... ok.
It also represents deeper stuff, like how she wants to cling to parts of the old world and who she was before the world ended. I purposefully describe her as being in touch with the world before. Something I try to talk about a lot in that series is how she doesn't want to become a hardened, emotionless person. She wants to still have the morals she had before the world ended, but as the series progresses, she learns how to balance that with the things she HAS to do in this world. She has to kill people, even though she doesn't want to. That is her biggest dilemma—how she has to come to terms with killing people. It haunts her, and yet all we seem able to talk about is how she's a vegetarian lmao.
Her being vegetarian was important for her relationship with Daryl even in the first season. When she thanked him for bringing back those squirrels for everyone at the quarry, he asked her why she was thanking him when she wouldn't even eat it, and she said, in so many words, that it's not about her—that it's about everyone else. I think that was important for the beginning of their relationship because it showed how selfless she is, like Daryl. So even though they differ in these surface-level ways, they are very similar: they both care about their families before they care about themselves.
But yes, you are so right. Sorry, I don't mean to take away from your statement haha. I start going off on tangents but basically I mean to say I totally agree with you. The vegetarian reader thing is really fun to do and it's not just about her being vegetarian for shits and giggles. It's about characterization and making the relationship more layered. Idk why it gets certain people upset. <3

Ok, now I’m starting to think we’re following the same twitter circles because I saw that yesterday too! ✋😂 Definitely gave me pause to see Scara on there when he’s such a goddamn BRAT, which I admittedly do like but that doesn’t make for much of a daddy. Xiao didn’t belong on there either, you’re right, and at this point I’m genuinely convinced your average twitter user doesn’t understand the actual meaning of any word ever, because the gross misusage is legit out of control over there. I’ve long since given up the discourse lifestyle (or so I tell myself cmdkxmse) but some of the stuff I see truly tests my patience for fandom culture nonsense, as well as my self control to keep my mouth shut 😂
The bizarre obsession they have with “minor coded” characters is absolutely one of those things - for example, did you know that there were people trying to insist both Layla AND professor Faruzan are children? Truly, I wish you could’ve seen my face. 😭 Venti is easily the worst offense tho, I’m right there with you on that. It just doesn’t make sense from any perspective but honestly they probably deserve a medal for all the mental gymnastics they had to do to reach that asinine conclusion. He’s just as much of an old man as Zhongli is. His line at the end of the wine festival about feeling like some kind of grandpa should’ve been proof enough of that. lmao
((Zhongli IS my favorite Archon at least partially because he’s dad, daddy and grandpa all rolled into one 😂 but Venti fits the bill too, just in a different flavor. I’m low key convinced there’s some kind of correlation between that and the fact they’re the last remaining two of the original seven buuut I digress))
I like Nahida a lot too, she ended up being way more likable and charming than I originally thought she’d be but yeah, I’m SO ready to move on and delve deeper into the Deshret mystery instead. 👀 Somehow or another there are people who seem to have actually fallen for Al-Haitham’s bio insisting he’s the most normal, plain and unremarkable person to ever walk Teyvat and they’re starting to give up on the their theories but … if anything I think that just made him look all the more suspicious. lol Normal individuals don’t typically have to go out of their way to ensure they continue to appear normal. It’s very … Yoshikage Kira of him. 😂😂😂 Even if he’s not connected to Deshret (unlikely imo, given Cyno and the priest) I’d say he’s still got something going on behind the scenes and I can’t wait to find out what it is. Frankly tho I’m just so eager to go back to the desert again. It’s easily my favorite area in the game so far and also the Golden Slumber quest was just 10 out of fucking 10 imo. I need to know everything, see everything, experience everything. I also miss Dehya … a LOT. *sniffle* What do I have to do to have her top me? 😭
i follow almost nobody on twitter who posts like actual non-art things but the algorithm does like to show me discourse and lore posts (which . . . ok i won't complain about the second but the FIRST)....
GOD he was so . . . he was so grandpa in the whole of the wine event, i love him so much. he is so fun and lovely and also so melancholy at the same time. venti my beloved.
THE CONSTANT INSISTENCE THAT ALHAITHAM IS JUST A NORMAL NORMAL GUY DOING NORMAL NORMAL THINGS IS THE MOST SUSPECT THING ABOUT HIM. please. i don't like the desert very much (i hate the underground and i liked the first half of the desert quest but i am just avoiding doing the second because it's much less fun with less npcs to hang out with), but hopefully the apparently qol update we're getting that tells you the difference between underground and overground teleports will help there! mondstadt is my favourite region followed by inazuma (though the inazuma archon quest . . . oof). i am however extremely excited about SANDWORMS. i just think they will be cool!
