Eddie had been royally pissed off a second ago. With the pounding on his door like goddamn thunder spiraling him right towards a raging headache. But then it swung open to your smiling face, your arms clasped behind your back, and he couldn’t bring himself to be annoyed anymore.
Not with the slight curve of your mouth and the soft squint of your eyes and your pink mini skirt peaking out beneath the hem of his leather jacket. Not with your cherry lipgloss laid on thick and the locket stuffed with his likeness jingling just above your cleavage reflecting the golden lamplight past his shoulder.
“Hey, bug, how’s my favorite conformist doing?” 
“She’s busy,” you say, suddenly pouty and sullen. But you can’t just wipe the remnants of that giddy look off your face or dim the stars in your eyes, so as bitter as you try to be, he knows you’re still beaming somewhere under there.
“Busy?”
“Snorting white in Milan with millionaire heartthrob: John, Jr.”
“How very metal of her,” he teases, dipping down and pressing a chaste kiss to your bottom lip. But you disappear past him into the depths of the hallway, and he finds you perched on his bed kicking your legs out in front of you.
A click, a whirr, and a blinding flash: he’s staggering backward, fluorescent yellow burned into his vision. He blinks the static away to see you wide-eyed down at a small, square picture edged with a thick white border.
“What the shit?”
Propping yourself up on your knees, you tuck a boxy, grey camera under your arm and offer him the little photo. On film, his big hands are outstretched and overexposed, his silver rings reduced to a couple black bands at the base of his fingers. The grainy lens caught him grimacing though his knuckles, lips pursed, eyes shut.
“When’d you get it?” Eddie nods to your sleek and shiny Polaroid camera that flicks back open when you slip your thumb across the back.
“It was sitting on the dash when daddy drove me home from the rink.”
“Well… I’m keeping this,” he says, mouth pressed in a line when you bounce up to glance at the blurry picture with a sweet giggle.
“I can take a better one for you,” you coo, but he grabs a fistful of the leather jacket draped over your shoulders, tugging you closer, and slipping it into the inner pocket.
“How ‘bout I take some of you, bug?”
“Me?
“Yeah, you,” he breathes, taking in a lungful of your sugary, jasmine-spritzed perfume that peppers your neck in sloppy kisses of springtime and pie-eating contests at greasy carnivals. You fill him with wistful nostalgia, prodding around in his heart and guts for the tenderest spots and prodding some more when you realize how supple they are between your teeth.
“Doing what?” you say with a shrug. And that look in his tired eyes is all-telling. It’s like he can see through your top, and doesn’t even bother with being subtle because you’re so perfect, the risk is nothing compared to the reward
“That’s rotten, Munson. Don’t be vulgar.”
“Why, ‘cause your daddy bought you that camera? What’s he gonna care that Hawkins’ resident freak is defiling his daughter on a Thursday night?”
“He’d also buy me a shotgun, if I asked.”
“Is that supposed to scare me, bug?”
“Big, too, ‘n I’d aim it right here”—your rounded, ballet-slipper-pink fingernail draws an ‘X’ over his sternum—“break your heart real easy.”
“Don’t need a shotgun for that,” he huffs, guiding your fist open against his waist, slotting his fingers beneath the weighty underbelly of your Polaroid camera, and pressing his plump lips to your brow to get you to transfer its weight to his palm.
He holds your chin between thumb and knuckle, even though you pout and fiddle with the chain hanging from his belt loops. He lifts the camera to eye-level, sputtering and snapping when he fingers for the bright red button, tapping it gently.
The flash rings in your ears, leaves behind a distorted blob of darkness when you look up. The camera spits out an onyx plain of undeveloped film before slowly flooding with splotches of bronzy green.
“Hello, Miss America,” he mumbles, wobbling the delicate picture back and forth in the air, and you shriek, wrapping both hands around his forearm.
“Fuck, Eddie!”
“Yes, ma’am—”
“No, the ink, baby, it’ll bubble,” you whine, pinching the picture and blowing softly along its face.
“Shit, I’m sorry,” he says when you turn away from him. He rests his chin on your shoulder, pecking just below your diamond-studded ear with a sigh. “You still look incredible.”
And you do. Like a model, as always, he thinks, but you’d make fun of him for dreaming where you won’t. He always tells you to remember him when you’re strutting through Manhattan, being clobbered by psychos with expensive cameras.
The photo’s abandoned atop his amp and the kisses are slow and sweet with your jacket draped over the edge of the bed and your fingers in his hair and his lips lazy and wet against yours. You taste biting and bubbly like cheap champagne, royal and bold under his tongue.
He picks at the barbie-pink bandeau across your chest, and you arch into his touch when his fingertips brush your pert nipples through the stretchy fabric. He ducks his head against your collar, tonguing the smooth skin with a harsh breath. Two fingers hooked between your tits to drag the spandex down around your waist. His eyes are half-lidded when you draw your fingernails up his cheek.
“Get the camera,” you huff, his wild eyes peering down at you as his fingers scramble for the heavyweight thing leaving a shallow dent in his mattress. He aims it right at you, capturing your chest, up your neck, and the careful swoop of your baby soft cupid’s bow.
But you whine, “not of me!” and plant your palms over your face with a squeal. He’d scold you for it if he wasn’t completely taken with the likes of you. The photo slips onto the pillow next to your head, camera sitting beside your bicep while he licks his lips and leans slowly, mouth waiting with bated breath as it meets the tenderness of your bare breasts. One hand cups the other while he laps at your nipple with a soft groan rattling shockwaves through your chest like a battering and deadly riptide.
You weave your deft fingers into his messy hair and lift the camera above your head, fumbling your thumb against the button, and shuddering when he blinks up at you from between your breasts. His eyes go light for a second for the camera, flashing deep hazel rimmed with brown as he’s blinded. But it doesn’t matter with your skin lush and salty on his tongue.
He’s a little foggy when you sit up, but you nod to the wall his mattress is shoved up against, and he slumps towards it, gripping your hips until you wiggle into his lap.
With his heart beating on your back, you tilt your head to the side, and he slides the pad of his thumb just beneath your hairline where his name is tatted in sloppy black ink. He kisses it and hooks his fingers under your jaw to look you in the eye with a hungry grin. You lift the camera, and it clacks when he kisses you, full of tongue and saliva and gutterbrain when his grip goes slack, both hands down and cradling your ribs as they expand with air. With staggering and stuffy satisfaction. With life when his thumbs swipe beneath the curve of your breasts and he hums into your mouth.
You’re buzzing on high in his hands, and he can tell. Whether or not he’s touching you most of the time, it still makes you skittish and hot like this. Jumpy and tense and precious all under his roof and in his hands.
He brings them to cup your breasts, holding them against you because it makes you purr into his mouth. Heavy rings cold on your nipples, pinching with every flex of his antsy fingers. And it makes him harder against your lower back. Click, and the photo spits out against your calf, developing under your leg. And the camera is abandoned once his knees pin your thighs open wide.
The photos still litter his bedroom the next morning.
The boys creep up on him at his cluttered locker as he tucks the corner of a Polaroid picture beneath one of the heart-shaped magnets you bought for him. His ringed hands are clearly outlined, palms covering a pair of tits, hickey bruised against the girl’s jugular. Their eyes go wide, exchanging glances before Dustin shifts and clears his throat.
“What do you want,” Eddie barks, turning on his heel with a squinted glare
“Isn’t that the necklace you bought for—”
“Hi, Eddie,” you chirp, “hi, boys.”
Their sneakers shuffle back and forth on the squeaky linoleum while they narrowly avoid your eye contact and mumble nervous greetings. And you survey them slowly, with blind curiosity, at first. You blame it on their early-pubescent-nerves and brush it off. Then Eddie rocks forward with a grin, kissing the edge of your bubblegum pink mouth, giving way to a glimpse of the wide open door of his locker, newly decorated with a picture you recognize all too well with a rush of mortification.
Heart pounding, you glance back at the boys who have already scuttled halfway down the busy hall, whispering and giggling at each other. Eddie slips his arms around your waist with a content hum pressed to your warm temple.
“Good morning, bug.”

Sam reacts to: Dan and Phil React to Every Phil is not on fire! #1
Had to watch this one twice because I genuinely felt like I might throw up from how overwhelmed I was the first watch through.
- "We're having guests over" Dan says about the very first day he and Phil ever met, they've always been one.
- See I understand they have the right to call us out on the ridiculous "omg they touched" BUT I AM STILL FEELIKG ATTACKED.
- The good omens reference, like have you seen season 2 I need to KNOW!
- I don't believe Dan saying that he was being sarcastic with the "most fun I've ever had" I just think he didn't realize how true it was.
- "11 hour fuck session" I am dying actually dead
- The inserting of the old tweets feels too much like us fawning over them, get out of our house (tumblr).
- The catboy picture is back AGAIN dan really is proud of it and like yes tell them that it's not weird because I adore you dan okay.
- Will people please finally realize that these two have always been catboys?
- Dan's ADHD energy in these is insane, I forgot just how strong it used to be.
- The whole last name conversation is very very domestic somehow and I still think Phil had something else on his mind ngl.
- Dan did a little smiley side eye during the Titanic reenactment I just want to point that out.
- "lore" I CAN NOT BELIEVE WE ACTUALLY HAVE THEM BE PART OF THIS. It feels like calling it the lore is a fandom thing but having them be "in" on it feels so strange somehow, like they ARE the lore.
- The fact Dan knew Phil would say dance... how many times has HE rewatched these video mhmh? mhmh?

- "Twat in a hat" Actually howling that was funny and I missed it the first watch.

The end is sweet and these two dorks are getting old and sentimental, sorry for say it but that's exactly why they are looking back like this. I love them and I am feeling the nostalgia of growing up with this weirdest of fandoms as well.

I actually avoided listening to wilbur's music for a long time after I started watching his content bc I just didn't think I'd be interested? like I'd seen youtubers who did music before, comedy and serious music both, and usually didn't like 'youtuber music' so I figured it'd be the case with wilbur. and then with the comedy songs especially I'm not someone who listens to comedic music a lot so I just really didn't think I'd enjoy it, so I gave in and listened to ycgma first way before i heard the egirl trilogy
(fun fact the only thing that got me to actually bite the bullet and listen to ycgma was that I was just looking at the album out of curiosity and saw he had a song called la jolla and was like "...why did wilbur write a song about the town I live in" so then curiosity got the better of me and I was like "wow this is actually a really pretty song also I'm miserable now I need to hear more")
(also I did not just doxx myself wanna clarify I do not live in la jolla anymore lmao)
but yeah! I finally listened to ynb so that's my favorite :) it definitely gives me that 2013 radio song vibe it's very fun

So I’m finally getting around to playing the FF7 remake. I’ve played the original, and it’s always going to have a special place in my heart as the first game that really spurred me on into gaming. So here are my thoughts so far.
The story beats are well paced, I think. The city of Midgar and its various slums are really well fleshed out. I really appreciate just how cartoonishly evil Heidigger and Pres. Shinra are. Classic warmongers and corporate greedflationists. They really do not give a damn about anyone beneath them and it shows. I’m excited about the additional story beats and the mysterious spectres showing up as drivers of the plot, and adding that little bit of “wtf is going on here” to the background.
The main characters, and even side characters, are nicely fleshed out, too. Being able to listen to their voices, reading their faces and body language, and the much increased dialogue paints a much better and clearer picture of what’s going on with these people. And that nobody is that dumb. (Except Johnny. This Guy. OMG.) Cloud’s PTSD/Mako induced hallucinations and flashbacks are well done. He looks like he’s dealing with it in a healthy manner, except that he’s keeping it to himself. Tifa’s uncertainty and strong morality based on what’s happened to her. Barret has a hard exterior, but deep down he does care. Jesse recognizes that the explosion should not have been that big. She logically blames herself for this because she didn’t intend so large a blast radius.
It’s hitting my nostalgia for the original just right, and it’s got enough new things to keep it fresh. I’m liking this.
TURKS!!!! Reno is a shit and I love him and his stupid man cleavage. Rude and his ever ready spare sunglasses. Reno having fun with gadgets. Rude just THROWING YOU AROUND LIKE A TOY. Like holy hell! What even was that?!
Okay, so now I’m into Wall Market, and I’m just past the Hellhouse. One: Chocobo Sam is neat, I hope he gets more attention later. Two: Madam M. WHAT DID YOU DO TO CLOUD’S HANDS. (Yes, I got the Deluxe.) YOU BROKE HIS BRAIN A LITTLE BIT. GIRL. Three: the colosseum fights. What. Is. The Hellhouse. Scotch and Kotch are A+ at amping up a crowd. That was a ride. I have one more question.
Why have we not seen all of Andrea Rhodea’s face yet? Am I about to be screaming? I’m probably about to be screaming.
Final Note: Scarlet. Girl. How did you decide that Business Professional and Cocktail Hour were both valid for a working woman? I mean, you rock it, but I still gotta question your taste.

Anon you have no idea the kind of pandora box you just opened. Sure, I got some!
Fem! Onodera:
She was raised from a very young age to become the spitting image of the ideal japanese wife (yamato nadeshiko) by her mother (her father doesn't mind as much and is fine with who she is already). While she appears to be one at first glance, due to the feminine way she dresses (the kind of feminine a japanese man would like, i.e., modest), she is far from being a traditional woman.
For starters, she sucks at domestic chores. Just like canon Ritsu, her place is a mess. Her cooking skills are a bit more "refined" (her mom pushed her to learn how to cook as a way to become the perfect wife and mother), but it still leaves much to be desired (she is the kind of person who would burn the water).
Also, just like canon Ritsu, she was involved in an arranged married with her childhood friend and the only child of the Kohinatas (Akkun??? Yeah, let's go with that name for now). However, he was already aware of Ritsuko's umm...sapphic inclinations, and is very supportive of her. He is the one who called off the engagement, as Ritsuko's mother has always been more willing to listen to him instead of her own daughter.
As for her name, Ritsuko, I went with that since all sources I found about Ritsu as a name said that it's a guy's name (I'm aware that there are female characters named Ritsu). Also, I've heard that "yamato nadeshiko" women typically have names ending in -ko, so it was perfect.
Her job makes her prefer outfits that prioritize comfort over aesthetics. Even so, she is a fan of fashion (particularly couture fashion), and she likes to try on different outfits when she is all alone. Okay, MAYBE Takano has helped her a little with these "fashion shows" but you get the idea.
Speaking of fashion, she definitely has some lingerie in her closet (think of the most lacey, cutesy, and girly lingerie you could ever image). There is no big reason as to why she has them, she just thinks it makes her look cute. These are hidden as much as possible so that no one can find them.
Just like canon Ritsu, Ritsuko is a literature person. Her favorite genres are mystery and historical fiction.
Fem! Takano:
Not many differences with canon Takano. Because of her upbringing, she is a very independent person and is not under the pressure to get married and have kids, unlike most japanese women (read: Onodera).
This is more of a general thing: all the Emerald girls (yes, they're all girls in my AU) have different "female tropes" vibes. In Takano's case, she gives femme fatale vibes. While she can be intimidating as a boss (and the reason why she might be seen as one), Takano is a sensitive woman. Onodera knows this better than anybody else.
I named her Masami in my AU. Technically, the feminine version of Masamune is Masako, but I didn’t want to use too many names ending in -ko. Masami is a name with a plethora of writings. In this case, I like this version: 雅美, it means “elegant beauty”. I think it fits her just right.
She never gave too much thought about her sexuality back in high school. There were a lot of guys who liked her, and she even got some confessions and love letters from them. The other girls would say that she was very lucky, but she didn't feel like it was like that. It wasn't until Oda came into the picture that she went "shit I'm gay".
She still has one of the books she borrowed from Onodera back in high school. Ritsuko has completely forgotten about it. You can see it on Takano's bookcase.
Takano is the type of person who could wear anything and would still look good. She shows up in a hoodie and some sweatpants and other women at Marukawa are like "omg fashion icon!!".
You bet your ass she sends Ritsuko pictures of cats snuggling together and write something like "look it's us". She isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon. Actually, Onodera doesn’t her want her to stop either.

1. book you’ve reread the most times? it's gotta be the truth about forever by sarah dessen. not for any particularly deep reason, just it was one of three books that i imprinted on when i was maybe 13ish, and that ended up coinciding with some of the most anxious and insomnia-ridden years of my life thus far, and i'd sit up all night riding waves of panic and re-reading it, because, idk, it was comforting and predictable and i liked it. <3
2. top 5 books of all time? already answered so i'm gonna do the next 5 that pop into my brain. there can never be too many top books.

4. what sections of a bookstore do you browse? i primarily browse YA but i occasionally drift into poetry or cookbooks. <3 (i can't justify purchasing cookbooks since i hardly ever actually use them but GOD i love the pictures.)
7. is there a series/book that got you into reading? just answered this one and the answer hasn't necessarily changed but! i'm gonna have to give a shoutout to my underfunded hometown library bc those tattered copies of the saddle club really gripped me and wouldn't let me go. also. did anyone else read sammy keyes? singlehandedly destroyed my ability to spell the word "keys" for years but goddamn it was worth it.

omg best question ever award. initially I wanted to keep this like ‘album length’ (max 15 songs) but we’ll see how it goes :’) also so sorry this took like forever I kept changing everything LMAO
track 1 — ‘the 1975’
being funny in a foreign language, the 1975
a pretty obvious choice for the opening song. was a toss up if it was either going to include the bfiafl version or the self-titled version — in the end decided to go with the bfiafl version because of the lyric “I’m sorry if you’re living and you’re seventeen”, because I am seventeen. therefore it was more appropriate to include this one whilst I can! like I said, I was undoubtedly going to start with a version of ‘the 1975’ because it’s the perfect representation and reset of the things that I love.
track 2 — ‘you belong with me (taylor’s version)’
fearless (taylor’s version), taylor swift
now the next two songs are basically the representation of my childhood. before I even fully knew who taylor actually was, I was obsessed with watching the music video for this song and I was absolutely in love with it. when I got older and went my own way before finding my way back to her, the amount of nostalgia I got from this song was insane — making me love her even more now. fearless will forever & always (pun!!!) be my favourite taylor album.
track 3 — ‘red (taylor’s version)’

much like you belong with me, the whole red album was the album that I actively remember listening to the most when I was in primary school and actually grasped taylor as a person for the first time. madness to think how full circle I’ve actually come now that I’m going into year 13 (over a decade later).

this has been one of my top spotify songs for quite some time, and I first started listening to it because it came from one of my favourite films / musicals of all time — moulin rouge! my uncle also has the picture disc for this album (if my memory serves me right) so it’s also nostalgic to have that family connection to it, I always love what music is capable of doing in terms of relationships. it’s absolutely magical.
track 5 — ‘stuck on a puzzle’
submarine soundtrack, alex turner
I was introduced to this song through the film ‘submarine’ (richard ayoade) as it was one of my set texts for a-level media studies. majority of my class heavily disliked the film, but it instantly shot to one of my favourites of all time — the cinematography along with the soundtrack is some of the most masterful work I’ve ever had the pleasure of viewing. the lyrics themselves in the song also just gives me that mellow feeling when listening to it (as alex turner’s voice itself is amazing). I’m also welsh, so watching the film gives me the same feeling as gavin & stacey, constantly picking out locations that I know and also sharing almost the exact same accent as to the ones in the film haha!
track 6 — ‘thick skull’
this is why, paramore
these next few songs I’ve placed in the playlist to sort of represent my long battle with mental health problems (which I’m very happy and proud to admit that currently I’m the happiest I have ever been since I was like 9 lol), and thick skull does that perfect representation (also whilst being sung by hayley williams, what more can a girl ask for). the sinking feeling that I get from listening to this song truly does feel like drowning in the best of ways, mimicking that battle that you have to have with yourself. from the slow start to the layered buildup towards the end, it truly does feel like an explosion.
track 7 — ‘i always wanna die (sometimes)’
a brief inquiry into online relationships, the 1975
I feel like I am constantly talking about this song so I probably won’t elaborate on it that much, but from suffering with a personal loss that’s represented almost to a t through this song is why it’ll always be so important to me. from “your death it won’t happen to you, it happens to your family and your friends” to “if you can’t survive, just try”, anything else I could possibly say is in the lyrics themselves.
track 8 — ‘fine line’
fine line, harry styles
this songs included because it reminds me of one of my bestest friends in the entire world. although this doesn’t have the deepest meaning behind it, when we both went to a harry styles concert together, a group of girls in the row behind us snapped a photo of us hugging each other during fine line and it’s become my favourite photo of all time. I’ll include it at the bottom, so then this song just became our song :)
track 9 — ‘the crow & the butterfly’
sound of madness, shinedown
this song comes from one of my dads favourite albums, and the instruments in this song are just breathtaking. my nan also vehemently hates the idea of me getting tattoos, and when I asked her what I should get for her, other than being like don’t you dare; she said get a butterfly (with the most annoyed look on her face ever hahahah). therefore this song also reminds me of her :)

this other shinedown track is also included because one of the best concerts I’ve ever been too was on the planet zero tour. also, listen to this song and pay attention to the lyrics because it’s so emotional and the meaning behind it is insane. it really makes you feel seen and special!
track 11 — ‘i’m so sick’
flyleaf, flyleaf
this is included because it’s just one of my favourite songs of all time, and the vocalist on the track (lacey sturm) is just an absolute powerhouse! no other reason other than that hahaha.
track 12 — ‘aimee’

pretty obvious, it’s my name (and I love ozzy anyways).
track 13 — ‘funny how love is’
queen II, queen
queen have always and will always be one of my favourite bands of all time (as I’m absolutely in love with roger taylor) and queen II is just my absolute favourite album by them, and one of my tops of all time. this song reminds me of me first starting my vinyl collection and going record hunting for the first time, in which I bought first pressings of their debut self titled album and queen II.
track 14 — ‘all I need to hear’
being funny in a foreign language, the 1975
one of my favourites on the album that means so much to me, so had to include it for that reason. I love singing along to the track over any other 1975 song, and also getting to hear tim healy sing this live at finsbury was just magical.

in the end it always does, the japanese house
again, one of my favourite artists of all time, and one of my favourite albums of all time. this is my favourite song on the album and it just gives me vibes haha! some of my favourite flowing lyrics of all time as well, “the feeling when the windscreen wipers line up with the song”.

this song reminds me of my other best mate in the whole entire world, who I’ve known for years. she’s always been a bigger arctic monkeys fan that I have and I am so proud of her for accomplishing everything she has today. although she’ll never see this I’m so proud of her! more than she’d ever know.
