Cass Apocalyptic series by @somerandomdudelmao For being the comic artist that got me into tmnt in the first place. Your AU is not only the base of my love of TMNT, but also one of the biggest supports for this entire fandom- so, naturally, he is the base of this stack!

2 Arms Left by @intotheelliwoods Sweet bean Poptart is next. An absolute gem of a comic! Also... beetle saga is one of the few comics that made me bust out laughing. I loved that SO much.

The animation style is better than all the others, and makes the movie funnier too! The representation is also good, and the romantic storyline isn't too prevalent in the movie. I’m sure this movie’s been submitted already because it’s arguably the greatest animated film of all time. I have a personal connection to it because I saw it in theaters on opening night with my late father, and we both loved it and I still do. The animation is revolutionary and it’s one of the only 3 movies that make me cry.

It's the best animated movie because A: it takes one of the most well known comic characters of all time, kills him off in the first few minutes, and then shows you every cooler version of him. B: Has a large amount of representation in its main cast, considering that they're all versions of Spiderman, and that requires a white guy by default. C: everything in it is so well done I can't pick a favorite scene, but the most iconic is the jump off the skyscraper window.

This is probably the best animated film I've ever seen. The animation is definitely the highlight, the way they blend comic book art styles and 3D animation is an absolute joy to look at and is so overwhelmingly creative, every frame of this movie is gorgeous. The impact this had on the industry is undeniable, as we start to see more and more movies getting more creative with their animation styles. It's not just the animation though. All of the characters are entertaining, all of the jokes land and the story is really well done. It leaves me blown away every time I watch it.

This movie kind of changed the western animation industry from the ground up. Apart from being expertly written, funny, and heartfelt, it is also stellarly animated, with a unique visual style that takes direct inspiration from the comic books it adapts and mixes 2d- and 3d-animation in a way and to a degree that hadn't really been seen before in western mainstream. Its critical and monetary success paved the way for mainstream 3d animation to open up to new and excitingly stylised movies that were like a breath of fresh air between the generic Pixar-style animation that had been the largely unchanged norm in the industry since Toy Story circa twenty years earlier**. ITSV divides the screen like panels on a comic page, it uses dots and lines for shading and gradients, doesn't shy away from lowering framerates for stylisation, and makes liberal use of onomatopoeia, both to comedic and dramatic impact. Impact frames and SFX are often hand-drawn and stunningly colourful, and even the simple dialogue scenes astonish with an expressiveness and realism in their depiction of emotions that makes me rewatch a two-second scene of Miles laughing fifteen times in a row. My favourite scene has to be the What's Up Danger scene, the emotional climax of the movie. Set to an absolute banger of a song, it is the moment the entire film has been building up to. I won't spoil anything plot-wise in case you somehow haven't seen this movie, but both from an emotional and a visual standpoint it is Fucking Dope. Conclusion: Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse is my favourite movie of all time and I could talk about it for hours. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. Thank you.

Have you SEEN the Whats Up Danger/rising and falling scene? it's a work of art that makes me fall in love with storytelling all over again whenever I see it. Also the impact that it's had on animated film is absolutely being felt at current, if incrementally. Incredible film.

It has an amazing art style based on comics and mixed up due to genre differences. It's really fun and the characters are great, even the side ones. The story line is great and I love Miles and his family.

It was just another day in the neighborhood for (y/n) as they walk around the neighborhood smiling as wide as ever. Today they had a filming of their show Welcome Home. Though they are the only ones who know about it. All their Neighbors don’t realize that they are viewed. Just (y/n) and Home. Ever since (y/n) moved into Home, they became more aware and know their are others besides the neighborhood and enjoys the attention. So they go to their favorite spot in the neighborhood. They look straight ahead and smile wide and say “Welcome Home, Neighbor! So lovely to see you on this fine day!”

Wally Darling was sitting in his living room paper thrown all around , his usually styled hair a mess. He was having artist block. All of his drawings were just not the most. He sighed as he flipped on the tv hoping to find inspiration from shows on his television. He sighs kicking his papers in frustration as he flips channels until he sees this colorful opening with “WELCOME HOME”. He stops his flipping , interested in it. Like it drew him in. Maybe it was the artist in him but he watched the show. This puppet with (h/s) and a poofy colorful shirt with bell bottom jeans looks at the camera and says “Welcome Home ,Neighbor! So lovely to see you on this fine day!” It was like the character was talking to him. He liked their style so he took out his sketchbook and started to draw. The character discussed about a problem they were having in the neighborhood. How they and their best friend Barnaby has taken cookies from this character named Poppy and how they are having trouble admitting it was them. He watches as the puppet interacts talking to Barnaby and asking their neighbors such as another character named Julie and Eddie for advice. Every time he looked up the character may have been talking to someone else but they always seemed to be staring at him. It kind of felt weird to him. Like his soul was being stared at. He shivered and bit into his apple. Soon the character and Barnaby admit to Poppy they took cookies and Poppy forgives them saying next time to ask . The main character , whose name is (y/n) smiles and says thanks and says bye to their friends heading home. In front of their doorstep now, they look to the viewers , eyes wide and smiling . Smiling so creepily. “Thank you so much , Neighbor for helping out on todays problem. I hope to see y’all again …… real soon! Good night ,my Darlings!” The character says smiling wide and waving entering Home and closing the door. Wally shivers feeling as though they were specifically saying that to him as the credits roll. He may have been freaked out but he felt drawn to the show. Like it was part of him. Turning off the tv, he heads to get ready for bed hoping to watch more tomorrow , it looked like he found a muse.

He was drawing me, Home! Me!! I can’t stop thinking about him. He is just like the best!” (Y/n) gushes over the fellow they saw today. Home creaks and squeaks in response. “Ohhhh. So I should bring them here if I like them that much. What a great idea home!! Let’s hope they want to stay forever and ever unlike our old neighbors.” They look toward the door that was to the basement no one but them and Home know about. (Y/N) walks over to their own television and starts fiddling with it making the tv where they live and where Wally lives turn onto a static channel. “Alright Home. I’m off to get me a man.” They laugh as they step through the television entering the human world. “Woooo still not use to that feeling,” they say as the pat there pants and start searching for Wally. They search the living room and the kitchen. They went to the bathroom amused and loving the art all around . They finally come to a bedroom door painted to look like an apple. They chuckle and open the door slowly as not to alert the sleeping Wally. (Y/n) heads over to Wally and picks him up . Him being in deep sleep and their softness helped in not awakening. They walk to the tv and smiling wide , whisper to the sleeping Wally. “Welcome home, Darling.” Entering the tv and going home.

Ohhhh my gods do you think Kallus (David O Kallus) was able to take care of his hair properly in the empire? I myself am not black, but in talking with my black friends and from my own research, textured hair takes a lot of love and time to maintain properly. One of my friends with short hair told me it would take him at least 45 minutes to do his entire hair routine, and he has maybe two inches of hair when it’s completely dry. His sister says it takes upwards of two hours for her, and her hair is only down to her shoulders. There just isn’t that kind of time or compassion for personal needs in the Empire, especially for a high ranking ISB agent such as Kallus.

When he finally settles on Yavin 4, Sabine (and later Zeb when he finds out how much it would mean to Kallus) makes it her personal mission to rehabilitate Kallus’ hair. She researches like crazy, digging up every holonet article she can about hair care. Once Kallus’ hair begins to grow healthy and longer, Zeb doubles down and starts researching styles so he can do his man’s hair. Sometimes Kallus will give briefings sitting down; Zeb was in the middle of putting his hair into twists and didn’t want to loose his progress. Occasionally the briefing will be interrupted by a muttered ‘Karabast’ (in Zeb’s defense, putting a twist in is hard when you have big hands).

anyways, tldr: love and transformation is stored in the hair care

These are all soft headcanons by the way, I am very much open to debate on the matter (especially since with the exception of Sirius, who hated the Dark Arts, these people wouldn’t actually be able to cast Patronus Charms which is really fucking stupid imo but whatever, it’s the canon)

Sirius: we know this already, it’s a black dog

Reggie: I am a sucker for those headcanons where Sirius inadvertently finds out that Reggie’s Patronus is a black dog, so definitely that. But on the other hand, I also love black cat Patronus headcanons for Regulus: sleek, quiet, intelligent, extremely magical creatures. So wrapped up in magic as an animal that it would be befitting of a pureblood heir. And it fits his personality perfectly. This art of the Black brothers on this very topic by @likeprongstostars made me emotional, now all of you have to see it. You're welcome.

Walburga: no clue. I want to say something like a big cat, like a panther or something of the sort, but maybe also a manta ray. They’re absolutely huge, imposing creatures, but so beautiful and territorial as fuck. This is my main requirement for Walburga’s Patronus: seeing her reaction to the filth infesting 12 Grimmauld Place makes me think of an animal marking their territory.

Orion: again, no clue. But if I had to pick one probably a crow. Intelligent creatures, loyal, vicious when needed (they can quite literally take your eye out, I can see Orion doing that Kaz Brekker style to someone), but also an omen of death. And to me, the man is a glum sort. I’m sorry but I cannot help but see him a bit like the spectre of the feast (in Italian, literally ‘uccellaccio del malaugurio’, if you know, you know).

Bellatrix: Now. I am convinced that her Patronus is a black swan. This is admittedly not my theory, credit goes to a YT channel called Harry Potter Folklore, but to me, it fits perfectly. First of all, it's a nudge to her father's name, Cygnus (literally ‘swan’), and her loyalty to her family. Secondly, they are elegant, beautiful creatures, extremely faithful and who mate for life, which fits her extreme devotion to the Dark Lord. Black swans specifically are also rare in nature and can symbolize death in some cultures. It's Bella.

Based on this, I'll say that Andromeda and Narcissa's original Patroni were also swans (of the white kind - not that it matters for an actual Patronus since it's made of light, but the distinction is important to me). Both of theirs changed with their respective partners. Andromeda's became a Jack Rabbit (which I headcanon was Ted's: it was also Nymphadora's first Patronus). Narcissa's became the same as her husbands'. Bella was always the most loyal to her family and her sisters and hers stays the same until she dies, fucking fight me.

Lucius: I know you all expect me to say a peacock (and I can see it: territorial, the literal embodiment of vanity, elaborate mating ritual... and you just know Lucius did all of that with Cissy - huge sparkling diamond necklaces and whatnot) but I can also see it being a greyhound - elegant, dogs associated with the nobility, who also represent resilience, and most of all hunting dogs.

Rodolphus: a wolf. My man is wolf-coded, no I will not elaborate. But it's a wolf 100%, just trust me. Also, Rabastan's is a red fox. Non-negotiable.

your art and writing are so so so lovely - your painting style is absolutely gorgeous, and i'm amazed at the sheer emotion you're able to invoke with hk's relatively simple character designs. i don't want this ask to be a mile long, but trust that i'm already planning to write an ao3 comment or three as well, as i'm already partway through a re-read of your fic after devouring the whole thing in an evening.

for my art supplies, i use a combination of things:

+ whatever pencil i can find that still has lead and my dollar store sketchbooks

honestly i'm still figuring out colouring as i go 😅 i usually feel nervous about "ruining" the lineart so I used to skip colouring, but i've been challenging myself to colour more this year! it also helps that sun and moon are so colourful themselves!
