LMAO Clay I shit you not I was in the middle of writing an ask to *you* saying, first of all, no worries at all about the fucky tumblr tags haha this is the hellsite and I read that tag as sarcasm anyways so dw dw lol I know you're not like that haha 🫂.
And second of all, that I was nodding very emphatically reading your tags yeah I'm also quite conflicted- increasingly so frankly, and I can relate to your description of being *so* sad from it that it kind of falls flat? As for like, whether I find it satisfying from a narrative standpoint or not, *honestly* as more time passes the more I can feel my own opinions going from positive to... Mixed? I agree that the Swifts deserved more time, period (absolutely) and that there was so much left unexplored... And that it would have felt more satisfying if we got more with them...
Hm. With the interaction as it was, I honestly think I would have liked it much more if it happened like, midway through the season? Giving Nicky enough time to step up and really prove himself to Taylor? Though of course we return then to the issue of that family not having enough time in general!
Conversely... I think I could have been happier with Taylor's decision happening at the end here and simultaneously been *less* uh absolutely heartbroken if it had been delivered differently like, tonally? I suppose I feel like... Combining all of their previous interactions prior over the course of the season, the complications surrounding Nicky's abandoment to begin with (listen could my man have sent a letter now and again abso-fucking-lutely but bro also had all his friends turn against him and was tortured by the FBI who he didn't want hurting his family like it's not so black and white at all), and maybe most of all the fact that Nicky genuinely *was* trying to be there for Taylor post-reuiniting in Hell... Combining all those things, it's not that I think Taylor is wrong to decide still that his dad wasn't there for him before so he doesn't want him now, as sad as that is I think it's still very understandable and certainly *interesting*, but the *cruelty* in how he delivered that blow is what came as a bit of a shocker to me and just doesn't feel good to me with. Well with all those other things I mentioned. Again, that's if we're keeping this interaction at the very end here, having Taylor chew out his dad the way he did way earlier could have been great.
IS. Is where I'm currently at with that I think? Yeah lol. Like there's more thoughts for sure but I would surely go on several tangents haha.

Okay so I know you posted this last week but I have to tell someone 💀
So since the beginning of uni I’ve had a crush on my chemistry professor, and let me tell you that the first day I had his class all I did was fantasize about him😭😭
This man is 6’4 (I’m 5’3🤭) so the height difference is so hot. He’s 35 (I just turned 20), he’s half Mexican half Colombian (he curses in Spanish when he drops something or is just mad and it’s the hottest thing ever). He has brown eyes and his hair is like Ari’s hair (all i can think about is how hot it would be to rake my nails through his hair while he’s eating me out). Also he’s so fucking buff holy shit, like his biceps are the size of my head and every time he wears a tight shirt/blouse it literally makes me want to do unspeakable things. For reference he kinda looks like Miguel O’hara (idk if you watched Spiderman into the Spiderverse but that man is hot as hell), but he has fuller lips. He also has a beard which also kind of the same to Ari’s beard.
So here’s where the actual story begins😭😭. He has a daughter who’s 8 years old - btw he’s not married and her mom isn’t in her life, I don’t know why - so my cousin who’s also 8 years old happens to be in the same class as her and they’re literally best friends. I didn’t know at first that her dad was my professor (and the guy I dream about) until my aunt asked me to pick my cousin up from school and I see him talking to his daughter and my cousin. When I tell you I almost melted because he was so sweet with them😭😭😭 When they saw me walking towards them he was also surprised to see me, but then he smiled and made small talk 😫
Next day when I see him in class, he asks me to stay behind and when I tell you I almost fainted. I’ll type out the interaction because it’ll be too confusing.
Professor: “Hey, so I didn’t know you were related to (cousins name)”
Me: “Yeah, her moms my moms sister so different last names haha”
Professor: “So, I wanted to ask if it’s okay for her to come over next week? I tried to catch your aunt and ask but she’s always there earlier than me, (daughters name) and (cousins name) wanted to watch a movie and just play.”
Me: “Oh yeah, I’ll ask my aunt. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind (cousins name) talks about her a lot.”
Professor: “Yeah those two are really close.”
Me: “But sure I’ll ask my aunt and get back to you tomorrow.”
Professor: “Thank you it’ll mean a lot to them.”
So after this we just quickly said goodbye and when I walked out the classroom I almost threw up he made me that nervous😭😭 It’s the way he was standing as well, he was standing and kind of half sitting half leaning on his desk and his blouse that day was a white so I kinda saw abs (slut) 😫😫😫 honestly feels like something out of a movie😭
Anyway so I came home and I was going to my aunts house anyway for dinner with the whole family (I’m Moroccan so these kind of big dinners are almost every week💀). So when I’m there I ask her and she first was kind of iffy about it because she doesn’t want to send her 8 year old to a random mans house (her words, not mine😂) even though she knows his daughter. And then my other cousin who’s my age and knows about my crush on him, jokingly said “maybe she should go with her, he’s her professor so she already knows him”. I swear to god I wanted to strangle her right there and then because my aunt thought it was the best idea ever and now she wants me to go with her.
I feel like this is getting really long so I’ll try summarize what happened afterwards😭. So the next day I don’t have chemistry so after I was done with all my classes I walk over to his classroom. This man was just sitting there drinking coffee and working and I thought (still think) it was the hottest thing ever. When he sees me walk in he smiles at me and greets me. I greet him as well and tell him what my aunt said.
Me: “Maybe a bit weird but my aunt wanted me to come with (cousins name) to keep an eye on her you know? If that’s okay with you of course.”
Professor: “Yeah no that’s fine don’t worry about it, besides it’ll be nice to have someone there to keep me company.”
WHEN HE SAID THIS I SWEAR TO GOD HE SMIRKED/SMILED AT ME I CANNOT MAKE THIS SHIT UP😭😭😭.
Anyway I gave him my aunts number so they can arrange it and then we said goodbye and stuff and I left. My hands were shaking when I was walking out of the classroom, he makes me that nervous😭 My aunt called me Sunday morning telling me that the playdate is next week. Either he or my uncle is gonna bring us.
I normally have his class on Monday but he wasn’t there, I think he had an appointment or something😔 But I do have his class today so lets pray he’s there🤞🏼🤞🏼

I THINK SHES SO NEAT... cradling her in my hands. i like a girl with anger issues and also with immigrant metaphors. i want to put her in a bucket and study her with a magnifying glass like a bug
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
i think her dissonance about expecting to be older than clark but then being actually baby is so fun. and her immigrant metaphors and her tragedy are SO compelling to me. but i also really, really love that her grief turns to rage. the way she is so compassionate and also so fundamentally angry is just. i'm honestly of two minds about the thing where they state she's significantly stronger than clark. it isn't really explained why (at least in sg2005?) (like, he's been under a yellow sun far longer than her at that point, what makes her different? how does every other kryptonian from kandor stack up in this powerscale? etc) and without any real basis, to me it just feels like a haha #girlboss thing where they were like well a woman can't be interesting if she's not physically the most powerful ever. unlike other women, this one kicks ass!!!!

she also has the house of el family curls. she does not really care that much about her appearance though so she just kinda brushes them out and lets her hair be just the wavy "this could be curls but isn't" floof instead. also, it's a kinda brighter yellow than natural blonde hair (it's natural for kryptonians, but...!) the same way her eyes, like the rest of the kryptonians, are more luminous than normal human eyes. people tend to assume she dyed it.
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
my first impression was actually of mae kent because i didn't know the difference between all the supergirls and i was just reading sb94 alskdjf and then i looked it up and went Oh. this is more complicated than i thought. and it was a little intimidating for a second, but then i just went fuck it and started reading supergirl 2005. first impression of THAT was "oh jesus christ i hate men" because. well. look at the beginning of that thing. BUT when it picks up it picks UP and my god... cradles kara gently in my hands. i love her so much. she contains multitudes.

Yoooo another banger episode! Hot dang this feels great, y’all. ✌️ I’m really impressed with their balance of dramatic/emotional scenes with comedic scenes in this episode. It was so fast paced, but somehow they got everything in. Once again seeing the connection of the 118 is all I want. ❤️ That’s a team and a family. This was Athena, Bobby’s, and Hen’s episode.
Now my initial Spoiler Thoughts for 7x3:
Bobby is a badass! Hahaha Athena saying she wishes Buck could see Bobby do the rescue, and Bobby wishing he’d seen Buck do it instead.
Wes! My man!! So good under pressure helping Bobby and rescuing Norman. And then… yeah I cried when Wes died. What didn’t help was him telling his captain to tell his wife and kid he loves them. =(((((( Another lovely touch was Bobby holding Wes’s hand before he had to leave.
Corey’s family is like Home Alone with Kevin being left. Twice. I enjoyed the chaotic comedy the family gave though.
Norman believes in Bobby. <333 Norman is such a great hype man for Bobby and Wes, but he’s also a bit of a savage with Lola. Well deserved.
Huh, Tommy ready and willing to help people he knew from the 118 to uh, go above board? Well to do a rescue that wasn't sanctioned or whatever the term is. Nice. He’s got a sense of humor too, which I certainly appreciate.

Loved the comedy in the helicopter both times. Honestly great comedic timing from everyone.
I like that Eddie will have a better memory now in association with helicopters.
Really impressed with the balance of heavier moments with lighter moments, as I said in the non spoiler part, but it’s true.
Dude I was getting misty eyed when the chopper was coming down because they saw the flare. Wtf. 🥲

Don’t think I didn’t miss the blocking on that rescue ship. Buck and Eddie standing next to each other, then Tommy being in the middle. Then Buck doing a “thank you for the help” shoulder grab. People can interpret that however they please, but it really did just look like grateful thanks from Buck to Tommy.
And btw, I’m not opposed to Buck and Tommy possibly being romantically involved for a time. Like, I don’t feel strongly about Tommy one way or the other right now, but he seems like a decent dude I guess. While I’m still hoping for a Buck and Eddie endgame, it’s perfectly okay and fine if Buck dates other guys before dating Eddie. That’s life, yeah? (...although I am wondering if Buck will still have a bi awakening, but may not date someone. like. i really don't know, but who knows? maybe Buck and Eddie will still be the first guys they're with. we'll have to wait and see.)
And Lola is back to jail? Prison?? Probably prison this time. I did appreciate that she owned up to her big mistakes and apologized to Norman.
The Bobby and Athena reunion hug? That was sweet.
Oh so Hen will not get in trouble. I still feel like she’s going on some kinda arc this season, something to deal with… maybe some biases and how she makes calls? Someone else may have phrased this better than me. In any case, I’m curious where it’s all going for her.
Yay more Hen and Maddie scenes! Heh, and Hen thanking Maddie for - I can’t remember the phrasing now, but basically for being a gossip with Chimney haha.
Athena and Bobby just. laughing at the stress of it all once back home, then…. *sexy music starts playing* 👀 Heyyyyyy. 🤙
Oh! Before I forget. Once again Buck and Eddie were, I think, in every scene together. Never separated. Others in fandom have spotted this *gestures* thing going on this season so far. Any scene Buck is in? Eddie is with him. 👀 Okay. 👀 👀
Another really fun episode. Again I was so happy to see our 118 family talking/calling/communicating with each other. That’s when this show is strongest, when they’re together and not separated *cough* unlike in season 6 and some of season 5 *cough*. Anyway!
Hm, I do think this 3 episode story could’ve been 4 episodes if they had a longer season. But given the time constraint, I think they did a great job. =))

Soooo after reading part 2 of the story i fell asleep and gawd dayum when i woke up i suddenly had an idea well more likely my brain created a plot, so the plot goes like this
The divorce was processed and now the reader is successfully out of diluc's clutches (tho the divorce created so many backlash but that doesn't matter anyways so-) and after some therapy and comfort from Alhaitham they are now a couple, 5 years later the reader was sitting in a park bench (lol cliché i know) and suddenly someone approached her lo and behold it was diluc (oh my gawd so effin clichéééééé) he was like "y/n is that you?" (Like bish use your eyes) and the reader was like "oh it's you, good afternoon mr.ragvindr" and diluc asked if he can sit beside reader and the reader said ok and then diluc proceeds to ask how they've been and the reader said that they've been happier after the divorce and the reader also proceeds to ask the same and made a remark that diluc must've married jean after the divorce and that he also has a family that he's been dreaming about because jean also revealed that she's pregnant after they got divorced and diluc answered "actually no i did not continue my relationship to jean because she cheated on me with my half brother, kaeya and she's pregnant with his child" and then you said "oh that's so sad, well maybe that's your karma(lol not me being petty), I'm just kidding" and then diluc laugh's and said that it's alright and that he agrees that maybe it is his karma for what he did to you back then, and then he proceeds to tell you that he's been looking for you and that he's sorry for what he did and that he regrets it (yeah BS i know) and that if you wanted to start over again and some other cliché shit like that, you stood up and was about to answer his disgusting question when you suddenly felt something wrapped up around your waist and then you heard "mommy!, we're sorry that we made you wait" and then followed up by "yes we're sorry my love, there was a kid throw a tantrum because the ice cream that he wanted was out of stock" and when you turned around it was AlHaitham carrying nahida (the youngest 3yrs old) and the one who's hugging you is yaoyao(the oldest 5 yrs old), Alhaitham noticed diluc's presence and he looked at diluc and said that why is he here and what does he want from you but diluc was not listening as he has his focus on yaoyao, and yada yada yaoyao is the child of diluc and since that I'm petty yaoyao knows what his father did and refuses to acknowledge him as her father and that her only father is Alhaitham and that made diluc more miserable and ofc diluc tried to take yaoyao through court but that didn't happen because Haitham is a lawyer a smart one at that and diluc lost the case and now he miserable for the rest of his life lol

HAHHAHA no no its okay if they can be cliche, just speak your heart out! And yes I did somewhat have a similar idea to what you have! A happy ending for Reader and Haitham, but as for Diluc and Jean? I don't have a definite ending for them, actually I'd rather they just erase themselves and stay away from Reader and Haitham's lives.
Reader already had enough shit coming from Diluc and Jean, its her time to just move on and look at the future she and Haitham would share. But id definitely give an ending wherein those two get their karma for what they’ve done.
But anyways you guys can interpret what happens to Reader and Haitham in anyway you all want! After all, although Haitham dropped the love bomb, reader never explicitly said she loves him back too so 👀 ooohh drama~ HAHA Just know that theres no definite ending that I give in these stories so you guys can brain rot away haha (Also there a low chnace for a part 3, but we'll see. I want to focus on other works thats why hehe)

I debated sharing this, but it's too good not to share. Doing it in one post seems best too...
Anyways...
I was working with my nephew the day before Thanksgiving. My nephew is nonverbal (as far as words. He communicates through sounds) with cerebral palsy. I was feeling some type of way (comfort seeking) and I asked my nephew, "Do you want to watch baby girl Jack Russell with me?"
The smile on that child's face I swear! (He's 7 btw)

Of course I'm dying like, oh my god he wants to watch that for the thousandth time with me I'm so happy, sort of situation.
But it prompted me to ask my nephew, "Do you like it when I call Jack Russell baby girl? Baby girl Jack Russell."
My nephew's reaction:

My heart is so happy!!!! 😩
So we did watch the movie and my nephew ABSOLUTELY LOVES JACK AND TED. He loves that they're my new comfort characters too haha.

The day after Thanksgiving, per usual, my family and I are celebrating Thanksgiving.
My great aunt's apparently are asking DEEP questions to my mom and cousin. I just returned from the bathroom when I'm informed of the question by my mom.
The question: "If you could invite anyone to Thanksgiving, who would you invite?"
Me personally... That's A LOADED QUESTION. Because based on what I answer I know I'll get dumped on with questions and teasing.

Hello!! (Sorry this is super late i got very distracted and i am very sick (so if im incoherent, that's why)) I uhhhhh do have a lot of thoughts but it's really hard to write it all down 😭😭. But I can try!
So, in this au, pokemon are a lot more ferocious and more like dangerous fantasy creatures that you'd normally see in a jrpg or smth (in simple terms) so people don't really befriend them or anything (basically legends arceus but people have a worse relationship with them).
And as for the people.... humans are basically *explosions* dead (Ethan is one of the few), the biggest race are the elves (Kris is one... but i have yet to illustrate her (i have a sketch tho (high school is kicking my ass)), and almost every race you'd see in DnD is here too...
But nothing here is super rustic or medieval... aside from smaller towns. Big cities and such are much more developed and are closer to our modern day (with fantasy twists).
Anyway, as for the plot, Ethan basically wakes up one day and sees that his entire town is destroyed (he has been asleep for several years (no, i will not elaborate (that's for another time)). He runs into Silver who was "investigating" the ruins *cough* he's looking for valuables *cough* and Silver is immediately hostile towards him (here, demons and humans have a VERY rocky history).
Silver disappears after attacking him (he only backed off upon seeing how utterly defenseless and incapable Ethan was) and Ethan tries to find an inn to ask for information.
GUESS WHAT!! The nurses are now bartenders. They provide travelers with information and maps and even a place to stay if they're willing to pay. Ethan orders an applejuice and experiences a fuck ton of denial when he's told about the genocide of humankind. And after experiencing severe mental and emotional pain, Ethan gets redirected to a nearby city that can help him find a new home (he's an orphan now (help him)).
On the way, he meets Lyra. I have... many silly ideas with her. She is a folklore-obsessed bard on the hunt for her fellow (feral (not... cat people...)) cats. And as Ethan tags along with her, they look for them. Something something once she finds all the cats she will be able to revert back to her "twu fowrm" something something.
And they eventually meet Kris; an esteemed mage who is a master at ice magic and knowledged about magical artifacts. She only comes with Ethan and Lyra because she has nobody else to help her with her fieldwork. Also, she's just genuinely curious about a living human being walking around town like it's nothing.
I.... never explained Ethan's power.... back to the pokemon thing: legendaries are more like gods that people genuinely fear (and thus, respect). The people who lived in Ethan's town worshiped Lugia in this universe. Thus, many of them were blessed with intelligence and a very small portion recieved some sort of power. Ethan was one of them and he is able to turn his compassion (haha spirit... or uh... soul... haha *gets pulverized*) into literal healing magic... but if he's feeling overwhelmed, the opposite will happen.
Oh and the other characters are here too... they're just considerably different... (esp Lance and anyone associated with team rocket (tr doesn't exist here, its just a family of silly demons (and a moody silver that loves his alone time and independence)) like, Lance is still a dragon master, it's just people think that dragon masters don't exist and they're just a fairytale (Also, Lance is just more reserved and isolated since he's not someone of high status (a champion... you get it))
There's more but damn this is getting a bit long and I'd rather show most of this rather than tell.... but uh... yeah.

this turned into a processing post on accident:
in the past i typically would wait at least a day to update my age on my profiles after my bday because i can’t ever do anything normal i always felt embarrassed in the past to change my age the same day. idek why. even though i use my phone all day on my bday every year i always make myself wait a day to update my age cuz i don’t want people to like. think i’m super eager or something. which is the silliest thing ever.
this year i’m not going to do that lmao. like who has the energy for that?
also i guess i’ve reached an age where i no longer feel insecure about people thinking i’m excited to get older or something. i guess i developed this complex as a young child because i have a very strained and distant and strange relationship with my immediate family and my relatives and birthdays have always been a huge source of stress and anxiety for me. birthdays when i was little meant being forced to socialize with a lot of unfamiliar people at once and i was always afraid of my family and painfully shy and insecure. this hasn’t changed much. but i developed a lot defense mechanisms and complexes because for some reason my extended family was overly comfortable all the time and “their way of expressing love is through teasing” according to my mom lol aka my family who to me felt like strangers because i saw them maybe once or a couple times a year or every few years depending on the family member, picked on and harassed me all the time and every family gathering i was terrified someone was gonna sneak up on me and push my hand into the dip or throw me in the pool or make fun of what i look like or what i’m doing or if they ever saw me relaxed or having fun when my guard was down they would immediately come over and try to upset me.
so anyway. wow i didn’t know i would be processing all of this right now. um. anyway
so anyway. i developed a lot of defense mechanisms and complexes to try and avoid being hurt and scared by my family basically. like i had to pretend i was an angry child and stuff i had to pretend i was tough cuz they picked on me less if i acted less sensitive so i had developed a pretty hard shell by the time i was 5 or 6.
i always acted like i was tough and like i was mad and like i didn’t care about anything. i wanted it to seem like i didn’t care about anything so no one could come make fun of me or hurt me.
so i developed complexes like, whenever i would buy new clothes, i would wait like a month to wear them in public because i didn’t want to have this specific conversation:
person: “i like you shirt, is it new? :)”
me: “thank you yeah i just got it this weekend”
person: *knows i liked and cared enough about something recently to have made a purchase and then worn it out in public* Oh so i guess you were pretty excited ti wear it, huh? :)”
and i developed a complex where i didn’t want to update my age on my profiles as long as i’ve been online i have always waited at least a day to update my age on any online profile to avoid this conversation (that would literally never happen)
person: “happy birthday! oh wow lmfao loser you updated your age on your profile? what are you, super eager to grow up? oh you’re super duper excited for your stupid little birthday? haha everybody come get a load of this guy! he’s excited for his birthday look he already updated his age lmao it’s literally 1am on his birthday like, eager much? pathetic. this is why no one likes you lol you are literally such a weirdo”
if you read this post i’m sorry that nothing i say ever is that coherent
this was a wild ride lol i’m gonna update my bio now . i’m 27 btw and this year i genuinely am not worried that anyone thinks i’m super eager to have a birthday or be a year older lol. and even if i were eager or excited about those things i think i’d be okay with that. not sure i’d be okay with other people knowing if i genuinely was excited for my bday, there’s still work to do i’m still insecure lol but. i guess to a slightly lesser degree than last year which is all i can ask out of a year is to just be even slightly less insecure like. thank god for some tangible evidence that i am maturing even through these times i feel im regressing in almost every aspect

I should start off that he and Pico's mom were in their early twenties when they had Pico. Why I mention this? Because he, by netherworld demon standards, IS still in his twenties. So he looks more like his son's twin instead of his father. His wife on the other hand has actually aged noticeably over the years due to her being human and all.
If you're wondering, yes, this has often cause confusion among people over the latter years. So many folks had mistook him for as his son's twin that it's pretty much a running gag at this point. Fortunately magic and non-humans are a thing in this universe; he doesn't say he's a demon since uh his kind is rather different than the ones in that universe are but he DOES say he does have some minor lineage of his side of the family that make it so he's stronger and more long-lived than normal humans. Which is also a thing in this universe too so the cover works. Still doesn't stop him from often needing some help from his wife to prove he's telling the truth lol
Oh and I know I probably said this before but my Pico's dad is nothing like Matthew. He might be considered a bit worrisome by human standards if only because uh haha this dork often forgets that certain things that would be normal and ok in netherworld demon society wouldn't be so in human society (like for example him wanting to slaughter this creep who wouldn't stop creeping on his wife, even saying yes to little Pico if he could help, only for him to get bonk on the head by his wife who had to pulled them aside to try her best to explain why he and their son cannot do that. Both him and lil Pico listened in the end but they were both very grumpy afterwards) but overall is a good man despite the hiccups.
Hell, you wanna know how he'd react if he were to have another child but unplanned like how Morgana was?
Well, he'd admittedly be unsure at first and will talk things through with his wife if only cuz netherworld kids require a LOT of attention especially since even at young age they're ridiculously strong and durable and uhm prone to accidental destruction at times

lil Pico once knocked over a FREAKING TREE while trying to show off how tough he was to some friends at elementary
ended up giving the poor PE teacher a new heart attack because one minute they were helping a kid on the swing then the next SUDDENLY A FREAKING TREE IS HEARD SMACKING NEARBY
School never found out it was lil Pico btw. Oh he and the kids who saw it said he done it but they didn't believe them because, well, y'know lol
but anyway getting back on track Pico's dad would've accepted the other child if his wife wanted it.
It'd be best not to mention what Matthew done to him because… well, this guy would consider your Pico and his family as his own. Partially cuz that's just how he is, partially cuz instincts from his dragon lineage makes him very protective of those who he considers friends and family and wouldn't stand for any serious injustice to them.
So uh for him to learn about what Matthew had done? He'd be very upset on their behalf. Murderously so. His wife will need to step in to talk him down because this man will go out to find Matthew and slaughter him. Yes that might seem ridiculous for him to go do this since your Pico isn't actually his but, well, it wouldn't exactly be too unusual within netherworld demon society. I HAD mentioned netherworld demon's sense of morality is rather odd at times y'know so you can say this is another good insight to that lol
I'd also like to add if your Pico and those of his family were to step in to talk him down then he'd listen. He'd be very dumbfounded at them doing this because why wouldn't you want that fucking bastard dead after everything he had done to all of you??? but he'd eventually albeit very reluctantly back down. He'll definitely be grumpy about it for awhile though lol

The hours spent on set between you and Tom had inevitably created a close bond for the two of you. There were many sleepless nights together, running scenes for hours on end before the director finally shot one they liked. You were each other’s rock during the whole process, Tom made a point to come over to your trailer before a particularly difficult scene, and provide support. You were newer to acting, and Tom helped guide you and give you advice during filming. It was safe to say that Tom was your best friend, and you were his. However, playing lovers on screen and having that chemistry was difficult for you to ignore. You knew that deep down, you had feelings for Tom, you just decided from the very beginning that you couldn’t pursue him. You wanted to make sure you established yourself as a professional, which you are.
You were professional for the entire filming process, never having a night where you drank too much and kissed him. Never. You were quite proud of that, because there were many opportunities where you could have. Tom was hard to read, anyways. You never knew how he was feeling, one minute he’d talk about some girl he likes, and the next he’s going on about how he just wants to stay single right now.
The press tour for this movie was coming along in just a few days, and you were doing your best to prepare. Mentally, that is. The press tour was going to have a lot of bonding time. Interviewers asking you questions every day, all day. Sitting next to Tom for hours on end just talking about each other and the movie. Being only a hotel room away from him. Celebrating the movie coming out with trips down to the hotel bar at midnight, you knew this was dangerous.
A ding from your phone made you snap out of your daze, as you picked it up to look at it.
Tom: Are you excited for the press tour or whattt
You: haha yesss i’m so excited & also kinda nervous?? idk why
Tom: I have that affect on people
You: shut up
You: it’s effect btw
Tom: No it isn’t
You: uhhh... yes it is dumbass
Tom: Shut up
Tom: I’ll see you in a few days in the best city ever
You: you’re only saying it’s the best city because it’s your city
Tom: Ya that’s why it’s the best
You: you’re so annoying i’ll see you soon
With that, you locked your phone, and resumed packing. You really only needed to pack pajamas and workout clothes, because all your outfits for the press tour were being brought in by your stylist. You really couldn’t complain about any of this, you got to play dress up for a month or so, hang out with Tom, and talk about a movie you’re really proud of. Oh, and also travel across the world. That part was pretty cool.
You flew into London a day early so you would have time to adjust to the time difference. Tom was kind enough to invite you to stay the night at his house before the two of you left for hotel rooms every night.
When you arrived, you were extremely tied, and didn’t have the energy to hang out with Tom’s entire family, and his roommates.
“Hey everyone,” You said as you walked into his house. Tom was behind you, carrying one of your bags.
“It’s so heavy,” He groaned out, and you rolled your eyes at him. He was never very subtle about what was on his mind.
“Hey y/n!” Harry called out. “We missed you!”
You looked around the room to see just about everyone that Tom knows sitting in his living room. You weren’t expecting to be met with at least ten people, right after you got off of a ten hour flight.
“Oh... hey!” You let out, your eyes were wide with shock. You were really tired, but didn’t want to be rude. “How is everyone?”
You made your way around, saying hello to everyone, as Tom put away your luggage in the guest room. He came downstairs, and you turned around to look at him. He had the biggest smile on his face, he loved seeing you with everyone. Of course, you had already met and hung out with his family and friends, but you were special to him; which means you getting along with his family and friends was really important to him.
“Hey, Tom,” You said. “Can we talk real quick?”
“Of course, darling,” He responded. You grabbed his arm, leading him out to the backyard so you could talk in private.
“That was really nice of you to have everyone here,” You acknowledged. You looked up at him as he flashed you a grin. He was overflowing with excitement, it had been a few months since you last saw each other in person.
“Everyone missed you,” He explained. “Myself included.”
“I missed you too, Tom.” You looked up at him, your arms were still interlocked together as you stood on the gravel, overlooking his backyard.
“I don’t want to be rude,” You started. He furrowed his brows as you continued, “But I’m really exhausted, and I think I need to just take a little nap. Can everyone come back for dinner?”
“Oh, of course!” He exclaimed. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t even thinking- I was just so excited you were coming, and everyone else was too I ju-“
“Tom, it’s okay,” You smiled at him. He relaxed as your eyes met. “I’m really appreciative, Thank you for doing this. I just need some sleep right now.”
“Of course,” He nodded. The two of you went back inside, and Tom had asked everyone to come back later to give you some time to unwind. You walked into the guest room he had made for you, and laid down on the bed, not bothering to get under the covers as you drifted off to sleep.
Having dinner with everyone later was extremely fun, and you were feeling like yourself again. The entire stay at Tom’s house was incredible, the two of you messed around a lot, but at the end of the day he was really a great friend. The morning you two were getting ready to leave for the press tour, he brought up tea to your room. It was the little things, you thought.
That day consisted of driving to the hotel, getting ready for interviews, and talking a lot about the movie. The two of you ended up in the hotel bar later that night, starting off the press tour by getting drunk. There were multiple days of this; you went from England, to France, to Germany, Spain, everywhere. You and Tom were having so much fun, all you did was talk in interviews, eat good food, sightsee, and get drunk. It was magical, actually. But everything changed when you went to Italy.
“We have Y/N Y/L/N and Tom Holland here, promoting their new movie,” The interviewer spoke into the camera. You and Tom sat beside each other, smiling as they continued to talk and ask questions.
“Was this movie more difficult to film, Tom? Because of how dark it is?” She asked, and Tom nodded his head.
“Oh, definitely,” He began. “I had a hard time with scenes, but luckily I have an amazing costar who helped me out with them.” He placed his hand on your shoulder as he looked over at you.
“And you, y/n?” She started. “It was also difficult?”
You nodded your head, “It’s definitely something I’ve never done before.” All three of you laughed before you continued. “Yeah, it was very difficult, actually. I’m very lucky Tom was there, there were a lot of tears- on and off screen!”
The three of you let out a laugh again, and Tom took his hand off your shoulder, and it fell onto your lower back. You gave him a quick look before the interviewer continued to ask questions.
“Because this movie is so dark, I thought it would be fun to ask some fun, lighthearted questions!”
You and Tom nodded, and she started to begin.
“What are you favorite colors?”
“Blue,” You let out.
“Green,” Tom responded.
The questions kept coming, and you and Tom were having a lot of fun with them. It was something different, and you liked that. Then, she asked the question that changed everything.
“What song reminds you of the other person?” She asked. You and Tom looked at each other, thrown off by what was just asked.
“Uhh,” Tom started. “I think I’d have to say Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.”
You laughed, knowing why he said this.
“We had a lot of dance parties in the hair and makeup trailer to this song,” Tom answered. You nodded your head.
“And you, y/n, what song reminds you of Tom?”
You hesitated, you knew what song he reminded you of, you just were scared to say it out loud.
“Umm,” You drifted off. Tom stared at you, waiting for your answer. “I don’t know why, but my brain is saying ‘Ivy’ by Taylor Swift.”
You and Tom looked at each other, he looked confused; raising an eyebrow to indicate his confusion. The interviewer cleared her throat, then changed the subject. You spent the whole interview on edge, Tom kept giving you the side eye, and you knew you were going to have a conversation about it after.
Except after wasn’t until much later, you had at least three more interviews to do that day. When this interview ended, you didn’t have any time to chat with him. Your makeup artists rushed over to do touch-ups before the next interviewer walked in.
You were in agony, you wanted so badly to talk to him about this, but the two of you had no time alone. You were doing your best to not look at him, you couldn’t make eye contact right now.
Finally, you wrapped up the interviews for the day, and you and Tom started heading to your hotel rooms.
“What was that?” He asked, breaking the awkward silence as you walked back to you rooms.
“What was what?” You played dumb, but still looked at the ground.
“Look at me,” He demanded. You looked up at him, he was taller than you, and you were already in a vulnerable position. “You told me that ‘Ivy’ was a song that made you feel like you were in love, do you not remember that? You said that when we were filming.”
“I remember.”
“Then what the fuck was that?”
You breathed in, your heart was racing and you started to sweat. You were growing anxious. You looked behind him to see your hotel room number, you were hoping you could escape this. Maybe this wasn’t healthy, you thought. Running away from your problems. You just couldn’t handle him saying anything other than that he feels the same for you. You tried to move forward, but he blocked you.
“Don’t run away from me,” He growled out.
“Fine,” You said. “What do you want me to say?”
“What you meant,” Tom responded. He started to back up, so he was against the wall right next to your hotel door. You stood across from him, on the other side of the door.
“What I meant,” You were stalling. He stared at you, waiting for you to response.
You couldn’t look away, though.
So yeah, it’s a fire, it’s a goddamn blaze in the dark and you started it. You started it.
Your eyes met each other, and you started to moved your way closer to him. He started walking towards you, your bodies inches apart.
So yeah, it’s a war, it’s the goddamn fight of my life and you started it. You started it.
You would do anything for him, anything. He breathed out, and you felt his breath on your face.
“I love you,” You whispered. You nodded your head, looking down at the ground. You couldn’t even look him in the face. He grabbed your chin, forcing you to look up at him. He had a smile on his face.
“Oh, y/n, I love you too,” He said. You laughed, but was abruptly cut off by him smashing his lips into yours. You brought one hand to his neck, the other to your back pocket, trying to find the hotel room key. You stumbled, Tom was closing in on you. There was no space left between your bodies, and you were on fire. His hands were in your hair, and he was pushing you up against the wall. You giggled, you were struggling to put the key into the slot of the door, but Tom ripped it out of your hands and shoved it in the slot. He opened the door, then picked you up, taking you into your hotel room.
