Peralta, Peralta

Summary: Jake Peralta gets some unexpected news about a new addition to the Detective Squad, and he's not happy about it.

Note: First B99 fic! I hope you enjoy! Also, Anna is my OC, I'm using Zoey Deutch as her lookalike, any similarities to you or others, is coincidental!!! And there are frequent POV changes between Jake, Charles, and Anna.

"Hey! So I hear that Holt's finally found a replacement for my spot in front of you." Amy said looking at Jake as She sat down in the chair that was next to his desk. "He did? I bet they're not going to be..." He trailed off as the elevator doors opened to reveal the new member of their squad. "Well, hello there!" She chirped out. "Hi!" Charles said with a wave. "Hey!" Amy smiled, "I'm Sergeant Amy Santiago." She held out her hand for the new face to shake. "I am Anna Peralta. It's nice to meet you, Sergeant." Amy's face immediately dropped. "Sorry did you say Peralta?" She asked. "Yes, I did." Anna said in affirmation, a small smile was on her face.

"That's really funny... because this is my husband, Jake Peralta. How ironic." Amy said as Jake slowly shook Anna's hand, she had a small look of surprise on her face that she was trying to hide, "Peralta. It's good to see you this early." Captain Holt said walking out of his office. "Oh, am I early? I apologize, I guess I jumped the gun." She gently chuckled, shaking off the shock of meeting another Peralta. "I appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your squad, sir." She said before shaking his hand. "Yes, why don't we talk more in my office?" Holt said before leading Anna to his office.

"So, we got two Peraltas now?" Rosa asked. "I wonder if she's less annoying than you." She teased. "There can only be one." Charles said crossing his arms. The squad shot Charles a strange look before continuing their conversation. "Well, I would have to say that it's incredibly strange for there to be two Peraltas now. You think that she might be a product of my slutty dad?" Jake asked in wonder. "Hmm. It's a very low chance she's your sister, Jake." Terry said, "I'm sure Peralta is a common Italian last name."

Amy suddenly pushed Jake's chair out of her way to his computer, "Let's find out." She said as she typed in Anna Peralta's name in the NYPD's database, "Well? What'd you find?" Rosa asked. "Uh... wow, she's a decorated cop... metal of valor, citation bar for delivering a baby, excellent police duty, she's proficient with firearms. She's got the commendation for integrity, award for merit. She has never been suspended without pay, or even written up once. She's the definition of a good cop." Amy said. "She was working with Captain Valdez's unit in the 9-2 before..."

Anna walked out of Holt's office, "I used my talents and found out that my captain was a dirty cop and reported him, and my unit hated me, causing me to transfer out. I don't mind it though, I talked to Acting Commissioner Wuntch which precinct I'd work best in and with and she said the 9-9 by name. Stated that even though she and Captain Holt have shared their differences in the past, someone with my talent would work best with his squad. Though, I don't know why she asked for my favorite cop movie... or what my favorite flavor of soda is or who my parents were... odd line of questioning." Anna said with a light smile. "Well? What is your favorite cop movie and soda, and the names of your parents, Peralta?" Terry asked.

"Die Hard, Orange Soda, and my parents are Lisa and Roger Peralta. Lisa is a former stewardess and Roger's a-" "Pilot? A Captain? Kinda slutty?" Jake interrupted suddenly. "Yeah... how'd you... wait, Sergeant Santiago called you Jake Peralta. I knew my dad had other kids, I wasn't expecting to meet one of them today..." She lightly laughed growing extremely awkward.

Everyone was silent, not knowing how they should react until Jake reacts first. "So, we're half-siblings... cool, cool, cool..." Jake said staring at Anna. "I see why Wuntch recommended this precinct... because of Jake. She wanted you two to meet." Amy said. "And to get on Holt's nerves, and be immature together. Constantly talk about Die Hard..." Rosa said with a bored but amused look in her face.

"Squad, get back to work. Peralta, my office." Holt said suddenly. "Oh... uh, which... Per-Peralta, Captain?" Jake asked standing, Holt shot a look, "I'm just gonna..." He muttered before quickly heading into his boss' office and shutting the door. "Before you say anything, no, I had no idea that I had another sister. My Dad only told me about Kate and the other two... and my brothers... but apparently according to Anna, I'm his favorite son. So, yippee." Jake couldn't fake his enthusiasm, he wasn't happy, he was pissed. Very pissed. "I know. I had to make some calls, to find out if she was your sibling. And as luck would have it, she is." Holt said watching Jake, whom he secretly viewed as his own. He adored him and would do anything for him if his life depended on it.

"Great, good thing she's not a con-artist like Kate..." He scoffed out. "Well, no. She's a very good detective, like you, her arrest records are astounding, her clearance rate is 85%, and she closed 90 arrests in the past year alone. She's a talented cop, like you." Holt said looking at her files in front of Jake, making sure he was listening. "But why did Wuntch recommend her here? It's Wuntch. There's something off about her if she singlehandedly picked the 9-9." Jake said immediately suspicious. "Because Wuntch assumes that sticking her in the 9-9 with you would annoy me, but jokes on that wicked witch, I can handle you, I can also handle her too." Holt said. Jake shook his head, "whatever, I don't trust her. She's probably here to spy on you."

"Jake I assure you, she's more than likely here because she learned that she had a brother here and she wants to get to know you better." Holt said holding on a fatherly tone. Jake sighed out. "Well, I don't want to know her any more than I already do. She's probably lying about her favorite movie and soda just to butter me up." He said bitterly. "I see right through her."

"Jake, this is not going to affect your job is it?" Holt asked. "No, it's not."

"Good. Because you and Charles will be working with her on your Drug case." He ordered. "What? Captain, I don't think..." He trailed off when Holt removed his glasses and shot him a look. "Fine. But, I'm still the primary." He said before walking out of his office. "Alright, Peralta, today is your lucky day because we're partners on my drug case. I'm the primary. Let's get to work." Jake said before grabbing his leather jacket, and his badge before Charles followed him. Anna was stunned as she immediately felt the cold shoulder from Jake, she gave a hesitant look toward Terry before swallowing. "I don't think he likes me... but okay, I'm a team-player..." She murmured softly to herself. "Peralta!" Charles called out. "I-I'm coming!" She stammered before she rushed toward the elevator.

Jake was keeping a stoic demeanor as he and Charles got into his car, before Anna got into the backseat. "So, what's the details of the case so far?" Anna asked softly. She was met with silence before Charles spoke up. "We're in the middle of tracking Trenton Skylark's drug ring, we're hoping that the Intel we got from one of his dealers will lead up to getting Skylark locked up and cleaning New York of a major supplier." Charles explained. "Yeah, I've heard of Skylark. He's a mean one..." Anna said pulling out a notebook and started writing something down. "What are you writing?" Charles asked. "I like to keep track of the cases I work with information that I learn about. And who I'm working with." She commented as she wrote.

"Why?" Jake piped out, ending his silence, "So you could report back to Wuntch?" He accused. "No. In case something happens to me in the field. Another police officer could find out what I was working on to make it easier for them to either A, find me if I get taken, or B, to find my killer. This job doesn't come without its risks of getting killed in the line of duty. Detective." Anna said dishing back the coldness Jake was sending. Charles was awkwardly looking between the two. The air around them was tense and unpleasant as they finally pulled up to their stakeout position. "Okay. So, how are we doing this? Going undercover? Or just gathering info at this point?" Anna asked looking at Charles. "O-oh I... uh..." He looked at Jake, "Info gathering." Jake said with a sigh. "We don't have enough to bring in Trenton yet. We need him to mention the drugs before we can go in. SWAT is setting up around the building, waiting for our signal and we can make a bust." Jake said, looking through the binoculars, "What are they saying Charles?" He asked as Charles held up the Long Range Acoustic Device. "They're talking about the meet up time." He said, "The drop off is at 8:40 pm tonight."

Anna's phone started to ring, causing everyone in the car to jump slightly. "Hello?" She answered with a wince. Jake was glaring at her. "Dad, I told you not to call when I'm working..." She sighed out, "No, I was transferred... To the 9-9. You know this... I told you about it last week." She sounded disappointed as she sighed out, "Yes... his name is Jake. Yeah, Dad. I know. In fact, I'm working a case with him right now, and he's in charge and he's not happy that I'm on the phone so I got to go." She said before he hung up causing her to roll her eyes. "Sorry about that... he says hi." Jake frowned. "I don't care." He said before turning back around. "Don't be on your phone again until this is over." He ordered before the air became more tense. Charles couldn't help but feel extremely awkward once again as he decided to focus on his job, using the L.R.A.D.

It wasn't long until 8:40 pm came, and sure enough, the drop off was happening, two black SUV's pulled up, and Trenton Skylark was walking out of the SUV in the back. "They're talking about the package. Which I'm assuming is the drugs." Jake shook his head, "We need him to either say it or show it before we take them down." Charles nodded, "They're talking about a Captain Valdez..." Anna's head shot up. "What? They are?" She immediately pushed herself in between the seats to listen to what Charles was hearing. "He's my former Captain that I arrested before I transferred, he was transporting drugs for Skylark? I thought he was just using them... this just got bigger." She said, "You're right about that, because they just mentioned you by name, Anna. I'm sure nothing's wrong, because it's just a conversation, that's putting you in the cross-hairs of Trenton Skylark's line of fire." Charles said in dismissal. "But on the bright side, they're talking about their supply. Call it." He said to Jake. "Go, go, go." Jake said through the radio. There was a swarm of SWAT agents and NYPD officers storming into the warehouse. "And it looks like we got them." Charles said with a smile.

The ride back to the precinct was just as awkward and tense if not more, "Hello? Hey, Amy..." Charles said answering his phone. Anna knew he texted Amy to call him to help break the tension in the car. She felt bad that the atmosphere between her and Jake was so bad that he had to plead his friend to call him to help ease it. "We took down Skylark... Jake-" Jake snapped his fingers toward the phone wanting to speak to Amy. "Oh here he is..." Charles awkwardly handed over his phone, "Hey Ames." Jake said. "Jake, why are you being a dick?" Amy asked with a sigh, "I'm not! I'm doing my job." He sighed out. "Really so then why is Boyle telling me that he is incredibly uncomfortable in the car with you and your sister?" She asked. "Everything is fine." Jake said with a sigh. "Is it? He also says that he can feel the tension between you two getting stronger by the second."

Jake sighed out. "Again, everything is fine, Amy, you don't need to worry about me." Amy sighed out not willing to let it go, "Charles also said that you haven't made a single joke, or acted like you normally do while on a stakeout, and that you were acting like Holt. You're really not enjoying the fact that you have another sister are you?"

Jake's jaw tightened before he loosened it. "No, that's not the case, Ames, look, I'm driving. I'll talk to you later. Bye, love you." He said before hanging up. He didn't feel like hearing his wife harping at him about this. It wasn't even her business anyway, he glimpsed over at Charles who immediately looked away and focused outside. "S-so, Charles," Anna started out awkwardly. "What's your favorite color?" She asked, attempting to break the awkwardness he was feeling. Jake turned on the radio and a hip-hop station was naturally playing. It was Anna's turn to clench her jaw and increase the tension between her and Jake, she sighed out before giving up and looking out the window, she could feel the lump swelling in her throat as she fought hard not to allow Jake's coldness get her to cry. She wasn't going to allow him that victory.

Thankfully, they were already back at the precinct, As Jake parked, she immediately got out of the car and headed straight inside, without another thought, she needed to cry but she wasn't going to cry in front of Jake or Charles. She turned the corner and ran into Amy, bumping into her hard. "Sorry! I'm so sorry!" Anna exclaimed, tears were falling as she apologized before immediately rushing past her when she saw Jake and Charles walking inside

She rushed inside of the elevator, locking eyes with Jake before immediately looking away and was pressing the close doors button and hitting the number 4 button. She was going to immediately ask for a transfer because this wasn't going to work out for her. The doors open and she rushed past Rosa, Terry, Hitchcock and Scully, a sob rippling out of her chest as she headed toward the bathroom.

"Anna?" Terry was immediately concerned. She ignored him as she shut the door in his face following the sound of a lock clicking, she was trying to pull herself together to talk with Holt and let him know that it wasn't going to work out. That was the plan she was going with and it was better than nothing.

Jake was getting an earful from Amy in the elevator. "Jake she's crying! Because you wouldn't give her a chance!" Charles was once again stuck in an awkward position until the doors opened up and he rushed out to his desk, "Thank god... I'm back..." He sighed out, exhaustively as Jake walked to his desk with Amy hot on his trail. Not letting up on her anger, catching the attention of everyone. "I can't believe you would make someone cry just because you're not willing to give them a chance!" Jake sighed out. "Hey, that's not what happened! It's not my fault that's she's looking for validation from me!" Jake snapped back.

"Oh my god, that's it, I can't take it anymore. Jakey, whatever issues you're having with Anna, is between you and your father. Not her. It's not her fault that she's here. So you had bad luck with Kate, because she's a con-woman. Anna isn't her. She's an honest and a good Cop. And I'm very disappointed in how you've been acting and forcing me in a very awkward position. I'm siding with her if it comes down to picking sides." Charles said crossing his arms. "She didn't deserve to be treated that way."

Jake sighed out, not speaking. "It doesn't matter, I'll be transferring out. I'm sorry I caused a big fuss. This was obviously a mistake." Anna said softly. Her cheeks were very red and splotchy. "Thanks for letting me sit in on your stakeout." She said before walking towards, Holt's office, "Wait. Okay. Just give me a second..." Jake sighed again. "Look, it has nothing to do with you, alright? It has everything to do with my father. Because you're what... 33? I was 4 when you were born. That means you contributed to my parent's divorce..." Jake sighed out. "And I... handled it poorly. I'm sorry."

"No? I didn't." Anna said walking up to Jake. "Jake, Roger Peralta didn't cheat on your mom with mine. Your mom was friends with mine and she wanted a baby but found out that she didn't have any eggs, so your mom and Roger were her surrogates, I was a direct adoption. And Roger wanted to be there for me as a dad rather than leave my mother alone with a baby by herself. But he left after I turned 10. Which you would have known if you actually took the time to talk to me rather than blame me for your parent's divorce. I had nothing to do with that. I've known of you because of my mom, not yours. She wanted me to know where I came from, and she wanted me to have the choice to seek you out if I truly wanted to. And oh, would you look at that, I wasn't expecting to meet you today. Because I didn't want to and I didn't want to make you feel imposed to have a relationship with me." Anna said. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to file for a transfer." She said before walking back toward Holt's office.

"Wait. Don't transfer. I'm sorry I was being a dick. I wasn't expecting this to happen. Please, let me make it up to you some way or another." Jake said with a guilt-filled sigh. Anna took her hand off of the door handle, "Come over for dinner." She said looking at him. "I'm a good cook I was raised by a chef." She said with a smile. "I thought she was a flight attendant?" Jake asked, "She was, that's how Dad met her, she quit to be a chef. She owns and runs 'La Soirée Magique', downtown." Charles gasped loudly, "What?! That's a five-star French restaurant! The food there is incredible!"

Anna laughed. "Yeah, it is, best part is, I eat there for free, perks of being the owner's daughter." She looked at Jake, "Well?"

Jake thought about it, "Okay, I'll come over for Dinner." He gave a small smile. "Amy, you can come too, since you're my sister-in-law. And therefore family." Amy smiled at Anna, "Thank you for the invite, when should we be over?"

"How does Friday night at 7 sound?" She asked. "That sounds like a good time for me?" Jake shrugged. "Good for me too." Amy said. "Oh and, Madeline Wuntch didn't send me to spy on Captain Holt. She said that the 9-9's detective squad would be a great fit for my talents and that you and I would work well together and that having the two Peralta's on the same squad and the same team would be the best thing for the NYPD." Anna said looking at him with a soft smile.

Jake smiled lightly before holding out his hand. "Well then... I guess I'll have to welcome you to the 9-9." He said as Anna took his hand in hers, "I'm glad to be here. I'll see you for dinner on Friday."

"I look forward to being there." Jake said before letting go. "I think this calls for drinks at Shaw's!" Terry said with a smile. Everyone cheered, before heading toward the elevator. "Are you coming, Anna, you're part of the family now." He said, "Sure!" Anna said before following them. "Okay, so this is Charles, he's my best friend, this is Rosa, we don't know much about her, This is Terry, he loves yogurt, the two that aren't here are Hitchcock and Scully, they are a pair, they're rarely alone without the other, Hitchcock, you should avoid as much as you can, he's disgusting, and misogynistic. He loves to take his shirt off as much as possible. And Scully's a medical mystery, he's gross, but he's a sweet person, who has some interesting cop stories way back in the day when he was in the field. Captain Holt is a serious person who is pretty much unreadable, making him a robot. But he's a loyal leader." Jake said giving Anna a rundown of the squad. "And Amy is a binder loving nerd who I love." Anna smiled. "That's funny, I love binders too!" Amy squealed and high-fived her.

Anna took a look around at everyone in the elevator. She decided that she was going to love it here at the 9-9 now that She and her brother, Jake have gotten past their differences. Anna was excited to see what the future held for her as they all headed to Shaw's bar to celebrate having a new addition to their squad.

Why can't I hold all these cool stories?

CURRENT CRAVINGS: Please see this GDoc, because I have some plots I’d like to try! I’m primarily interested in original plots and characters; setting them in original worlds or fandom worlds is fine. I am not interested in playing canons other than as side characters/world filler as of right now.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

I’m over eighteen, and would prefer my partners are, too. This doesn’t mean I’m interested in NSFW-heavy plots; I do not write smut. It just means I’m more comfortable writing and interacting with other adults.

I consider myself to be lit-adv. I tend to enjoy partners in the lit+ category, but as long as you’re an enthusiastic and engaging partner, I don’t care about perfect grammar. I would rather write with someone just as involved and excited as I am, than I would with someone who isn’t very engaging but knows exactly what to do with obscure punctuation.

I’m not interested in playing only one type of character or playing against only one type of character. I typically don’t enjoy writing with people who are only interested in playing one type of relationship dynamic or one kind of character (such as only m/f, playing the female, or m/m, playing the “bottom”). I have no problem with these dynamics or characters at all, nor do I have an issue playing against them. I just prefer more variety, compromise, and opportunity.

OOC chatter is really important to me. I can’t write with someone that I don’t feel like I can get to know. I’m looking for friends, not a faceless reply robot. I won’t communicate over any medium but Discord. I’ve tried Kik, Hangouts, etc.; they just don’t stick for me. If you would prefer first contact be through email, you can shoot me a quick message and your handle to [email protected].

I’m fine with threading in a GDoc or a server, but I will not thread over DMs. It’s difficult to have OOC chatter and the thread over the top of each other.

If you’re looking for a partner that writes a reply a day without fail, that’s not me. I prefer that we don’t have “posting schedules” or set posting times, because I find that it turns writing into a chore. It’s great if you reply immediately, and it’s totally okay if you need a week to figure something out! You’re absolutely free to poke me. I’m not always the most mindful. However, I’m not going to reply every day. Three to four times a week is my frequency.

PLOT PREFERENCES

I’m interested in both fandom and original settings, and I’m down for playing both canon characters and OCs. I don’t necessarily prefer one or the other.

I definitely prefer canon doubling from my partners in fandom plots; I mesh better with people who do a little give-and-take when it comes to that. If you only play one canon character or only play OCs against canons and won’t play canons, I don’t think we’ll work.

I can play as many characters as needed, whether it’s just one or it’s six. Whatever our story calls for, I can manage that. In fact, I would love to play multiple “main” pairings so we can both get what we want, versus a single main pairing (unless it’s a pairing/dynamic we both like equally well). I find more than one facet to a plot really interesting, and multiple characters helps flesh out a story’s dimensions.

I’m absolutely interested in joining groups, so please don’t be shy about asking me to participate in plots with more than two players. So long as they don’t involve me writing sexual NSFW, we’re Gucci; everyone else writing NSFW isn’t a deal breaker for me.

Multiple threads and plots at the same time are no issue for me. In fact, I love the idea that we click so well that we just can’t stop coming up with good ideas! So definitely don’t be afraid to pitch something new to me, whether it’s because you want to switch gears (and drop a thread for another), or want to do everything at once.

Romance is a must for me! I prefer slow and agonizing journeys to get there, but my attention is best held by romantic chemistry between characters.

I can provide writing samples upon request, though I never require them from my partner. Additionally, I have some plots written out if you’re interested in that sort of thing. Otherwise, we can brainstorm together!

FANDOMS

I’m very much a fandom player. I’m always down for AUs, or inserting our own characters into the plots of fandoms! This is in no way a complete list; never be afraid to ask if I’m into something! I’ve probably forgotten a hundred things I love.

Most of my fandoms will have favorite canon characters listed with them, both who I like playing and playing against; you’re always welcome to ask about others not listed.* There’s a good chance I’m pretty good with them!

*I will play OCs in every fandom, but I might not play canons in every fandom.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

I consider myself to be lit-adv. I tend to enjoy partners in the lit+ category, but as long as you’re an enthusiastic and engaging partner, I don’t care about perfect grammar. I would rather write with someone just as involved and excited as I am, than I would with someone who isn't very engaging but knows exactly what to do with obscure punctuation.

OOC chatter is really important to me. I can’t write with someone that I don’t feel like I can get to know. I’m looking for friends, not a faceless reply robot. I won’t communicate over any medium but Discord. I've tried Kik, Hangouts, etc.; they just don't stick for me. If you would prefer first contact be through email, you can shoot me a quick message and your handle to [email protected].

I’m fine with threading in a GDoc or a server, but I will not thread over DMs. It’s difficult to have OOC chatter and the thread over the top of each other.

If you're looking for a partner that writes a reply a day without fail, that's not me. I prefer that we don't have "posting schedules” or set posting times, because I find that it turns writing into a chore. It's great if you reply immediately, and it's totally okay if you need a week to figure something out! You’re absolutely free to poke me. I’m not always the most mindful. However, I’m not going to reply every day. Three to four times a week is my frequency.

PLOT PREFERENCES

I’m interested in both fandom and original settings, and I’m down for playing both canon characters and OCs. I don’t necessarily prefer one or the other.

I can play as many characters as needed, whether it's just one or it's six. Whatever our story calls for, I can manage that. In fact, I would love to play multiple “main” pairings so we can both get what we want, versus a single main pairing (unless it’s a pairing/dynamic we both like equally well). I find more than one facet to a plot really interesting, and multiple characters helps flesh out a story’s dimensions.

Multiple threads and plots at the same time are no issue for me. In fact, I love the idea that we click so well that we just can't stop coming up with good ideas! So definitely don't be afraid to pitch something new to me, whether it's because you want to switch gears (and drop a thread for another), or want to do everything at once.

Romance is a must for me! I prefer slow and agonizing journeys to get there, but my attention is best held by romantic chemistry between characters.

I can provide writing samples upon request, though I never require them from my partner. Additionally, I have some plots written out if you're interested in that sort of thing. Otherwise, we can brainstorm together!

hey! i’ve been getting into the fast and the furious franchise (i love it!) and i was wondering if i could get some fun facts abt your ocs? thank you! (and no need to worry about spoilers!)

oh i have been waiting to talk about these four!! i have a lot to say but i’ll keep to just some shorter facts for now to not make this super longer.

starting with leah, since she’s the oldest and most developed:

leah prefers motorbikes to cars, but when it does come to cars, she’s favourable towards chevys and ford mustangs.

her car colour theme is light blue and sometimes darker purple. same goes for her bikes. she hates red cars; orange is fine though because it's han's colour.

she speaks three languages: english, spanish, and japanese. she learnt spanish in school and then kept on with it after graduating; she learnt japanese since it was always part of her and han’s plan.

leah has a lot of small tattoos and wears a lot of rings. she probably has the most hairstyle changes of every character in f&f across the series.

she likes knives more than guns and carries at least three on her at all times. one of which was used to stab shaw in f8 before she's dragged off by hobbs. she and shaw still don’t get along even after han comes back.

she, rome, and tej are an iconic trio; those boys are her bros. she and dom kind of butt heads often, especially after han’s ‘death’ and especially-especially at the end of f8 when shaw’s at the fam dinner.

han helps ground her, so when he’s gone she’s kind of left hanging with this anger and pain she can’t really express properly. you’d think dom could relate to her in this instance, given his past with letty and fenix; instead it kind of pushes them apart because shaw never ends up dead despite promises. f7+f8 is very hard on leah.

angelo:

angel and ramsey have been besties for years. they worked on god’s eye together. it was ramsey’s baby, but angelo was there to help out.

angelo is more the ‘people person’ than ramsey and has more connections in both the hacking world and the racing world.

his hacker tag is 4ngel0. he was accused of it being ‘not really creative’ but argues back that ramsey’s just using her actual name.

since rome and angelo don’t actually make anything official between them until like the end of f8, angelo does hook-up with little nobody. just once. they still flirt a lil afterwards, but it’s clear between them that it’s just a joke, mainly to tease roman.

i was going to make letty and angel siblings, but the actors’ ethnicities didn’t line up so i scrapped that. they still have big sibling energy though and were neighbours as kids.

angelo is not much of a driver. he grew up in the environment of it with the torettos and letty, but he always had more interest in computers and tech. he and jesse got along really well before angel left town.

santiago:

santiago is a doctor. it’s how he met dante in the first place.

he wasn’t born in rio, but went there to work in his mid-late 20s. he was pretty sad to leave his family since he has 2 younger sisters and a younger brother he loves. he's kept in contact with them, but hasn’t seen them physically in years since being caught up in dante’s business.

santi is one of very few people who isn’t afraid of dante. he was in the beginning, but it’s been a decade, he’s gotten used to dante’s antics.

dante calls santiago ‘lucky’, short for ‘lucky charm’ since santi saved his life back in 2011 (f5).

santi and aimes don't like each other but pretend to get along for dante's sake. they're very short with each other and santi calls aimes 'amy', and aimes makes a lot of 'saint' comments about santiago.

santi is actually a pretty decent driver. not a racer by any means, but he's still pretty good behind the wheel. he's also not afraid to use a gun when needed.

he doesn’t necessarily agree with what dante’s doing, but he can’t really do anything to stop him. once dante has a plan in mind, it's hard to sway him so santi's just staying out of it.

the santi x dante romance is very …. beauty and the beast. it’s a lil on the ‘problematic’ side, but hey there’s gotta be conflict for an interesting story and it’s not real. also dante is ……… dante, obviously nothing is going to be easy with him.

yara:

spreading my ‘cipher is a lesbian’ agenda. evil lesbians get to do crimes actually.

yara used to work for ‘the agency’ under mr nobody. she was on a team with a few other agents, including aimes. she got along with most of the team except for aimes. she'd only briefly met mr nobody and worked closer with his daughter, tess.

she and tess dated briefly for a few months before breaking it off.

it was aimes’ call to abandon her in favour of finishing a mission. it’s going to come back around to bite him in the ass when cipher and the crew turn up and yara kicks aimes’ ass. or just shoots him. she doesn’t care about the fam vs dante nonsense actually.

not that she’d ever openly admit it, but she thinks letty is very hot.

she’s an excellent shot and has a favour for rifles. a lot of the guns on cipher’s jet are actually yara’s.

yara knows nothing about hacking. cipher goes on-and-on and yara just nods.

yara and connor were pretty decent friends; though yara wasn’t quick to trust after being betrayed by her last team. they used to have shooting competitions for fun. it’s a sore spot for yara that cipher went to dom to warn him about dante since dom killed connor and yara's not over it.

yara was the only half-decent one to elena while she was captive, but yara really doesn't like babies that much. she does think it was unfortunate that elena was killed, but hey, 'dom knew the risks'.
