I swear my character is repressing his bad childhood memories
I just cannot write them for some reason! Every time I try he's like "Hey here's this other thing that happened in my past that you plan on writing! Let's not relive the time my mom died and I could've saved her but failed!" And I'm like "Buddy you don't get the point of this part of the book, do you? It's trauma, the trauma is the point. The part where I fix you isn't until later."
