so i'm not going to watch boys planet bc a) i hate mnet and i don't trust them to treat the boys fairly b) i do not hate myself enough to go through that shit again when i know its just getting worse and worse with each season. that shit is rigged. we know it, mnet knows we know it.

BUT just the bits and pieces that i see online...oh my fucking god that show is so unserious and just so fucking stupid and they don't even bother to hide it anymore?

1. dividing the trainees into koreans (mnets favourites) and the rest of not-that-interesting trainees that are not fortunate enough to be koreans is just bullshit. like dividing them before the show aired during the trainee reveal? weird, but okay i guess. but not letting them perform together for the introduction performance and putting them according to their nationalities? what the actual fuck mnet. tell me one good reason why all nine.i members that are stuck there couldn't perform together when they are already debuted team? jiho and seowon performed as duo and winnie was put with another thai trainee? that was just unnecessary.

2. mnets pushing the narrative that the koreans trainees need to be better then the rest bc this is kpop and koreans just need to be the best in everything just probably creates unnecessary tension between the trainees. no mater how u edit the performances to make the korean trainees look way better and edit out the foreigners with actual talent, it will just crumble down bc mnets editing is shit and it just creates drama where i want just good vibes (yes this is mnet i know i will not get good vibes its not my first rodeo....i watched ioi's season i know shit or two)

3. jiwoong. thats it thats the tweet...no okay. honestly i got worried for jiwoong when he was announced as a contestant bc mnets is shit but worse, mnet is homophobic shit and hell i don't trust them to treat jiwoong right. for now, it seems like they are just using jiwoong for views. jiwoong is brave for saying out loud right at the beginning that he acted in bl drama and didn't try to push it aside. also everybody else playing their parts and being in love with him is just amusing and i hope they are enjoying it. jiwoong is collecting men everywhere he goes and honestly, good for him.

4. hui (and any other contestant that is in active group tbh) like im so fucking confused what the fuck is cube doing. we all know that cue is shit and is not good in dealing with crisis situation but ?!?! this one is stupid even by their standards. hui literary produced songs for mnets little shitshows before. he was a mentor for people who are now going to mentor him. that's just laughable?? hui doesn't deserve any of this. he is way too old for this shit. and in any mean i mean he is too old to be an active idol. hell no. but the rest of the trainees are more than 10 years younger. u can't want him to take care of a bunch of kids that should be in school and not in this circus. also, i dont even want to imagine how much it would have an impact on pentagon as a group - or any group in general. if a trainee that is already a member of an active group (so pentagon, nine.i, up10tion (what the fuck, why), ciipher etc) what the groups would do? would they have the same contract as x1 should have? bein half and half? i can imagine that could go as smoothly as any other mnets ambitious (stupid) plan. the boys would be overworked in no time and the time management? yeah, hell no. and yes it kinda worked with victon but swoo was back way sooner then they planned, or with nuest (good for them). on the other hand, it definitely didn't worked for anybody else with was mostly the companies fault by not taking the chance properly and mismanaging them.

5. the evil editing. we all know mnet is really good at evil editing but every damn year there are people believing it. like why????? mnet has its favourite and its so obvious. its actually so fucking painful to watch. it was obvious even just from the teasers. i understand that that's the point of the show. the more drama the more views for mnet. bad publicity is still a publicity :)

okay im done now. in conclusion, dont vote for a contestant that is a member of an active group (stan the group instead) and for the love of god and everything holy please dont trust mnet :)

One week after debut they got their first win and just 4 days after their debut album release the album entered Billboard charts, very quickly they became the 4th generation girl group leaders, they are the 2nd most known and loved girl group in Korea after blackpink and won countless awards including best new female artist during the 2019 MAMA Awards. Many citizens were looking forward to their debut due to label Mates Seventeen and Nuest praising them and their various of appearances in shows and music videos and their all round talents and visuals. The group consists of 7 members: Iseul, Minji, Soojin, Yiren, Remi, Gahyeon, and Eunji. Our main character Iseul became the 4th generation IT girl, and has her eyes on the 4th generation IT boy Yeonjun of TXT. After both groups were guests on variety show Weekly Idol in January 2020 the groups quickly became best friends, which over time grew into more between Yeonjun and Iseul. There in front of you is a tray full of your favorite treats from a bakery just outside your boyrfriend’s practice studio. He had promised that he’d buy you a treat if you help him record a dance practice. And you so did help him, so he’s here to fulfill that promise.

You couldn’t help but lick your lips at the sight of the sweet treats, they’re really calling out for you to take a bite out of each of them.

“You look like a child right now”, the person in front of you laughed, handing you a fork.

You narrowed your eyes at him for a moment before going back to staring at that sugar doughnut with heart eyes.

“Can I please eat now ?”, you begged, but your boyfriend is still too busy snapping pictures of you.

He decided to tease you by pulling away the tray, “not until you pose for the camera”

You groaned, throwing your head back as he laughed at your frustration. He’s so evil for buying all those treats, and not let you eat them.

“Come on angel, pose for me so I have something to stare at when I miss you”

Oh you know he’s not just gonna stare at those pictures when he misses you.

“Fine”, you finally agreed, letting him take all the pictures he want, so you can finally satisfy your sweet tooth.

He smiled in satisfaction and pushed the tray back to the middle of the table.

“Can I please eat now ?”

He hadn’t even finished his sentence when your teeth sunk onto that doughnut you’ve been eyeing for the longest time. It’s so soft and fluffy and sweet, you feel like you’re in heaven.

Your boyfriend noticed the way you closed your eyes in bliss, “hm... is it good ?”

You nodded frantically, extending out your hand to let him have a taste. But he shook his head, declining the offer.

“Eat it angel, you deserve it”

And so you did, finish the doughnut, in no time. You looked back at him and noticed that he didn’t even touched the cake he had chosen, only sipping his coffee while keeping his eyes on you.

“Why aren’t you eating anything ?”

“I will, let me just enjoy this view for a bit longer”

Your cheeks warms up upon realizing that he has all of his attention on you. You were about to reach for a napkin to wipe off the powdered sugar from your lips, when his hand stopped you by your wrist.

“What-“

He leaned across the table and smoothly placed his lips on yours. To him, your lips tastes better than anything in this bakery right now. He can taste the sweetness from the sugar on your lips, and a hint of jam from the doughnut filling earlier.

“Why use the napkin when you have me ?”

Flustered by his sudden public display of affection, you looked around to make sure no one is watching. You were thankful that you had chosen a table at the far back corner where there’s currently no one around.

As if you’re not flustered enough already, he swiped his thumb over your lower lip and popped it in his mouth.

“You’re right, that doughnut is good”

Plot: attending to his group's fan meeting event after you broke up a year ago

A/N: this one's a short drabble from what I've imagined, please bear it with me 😩

"What the hell is this? You called for so many times. You were aware that I'm at the studio." He shouted as he entered your unit. You waited, stayed up until midnight just to get shouted at by him. But you remained calm, knowing that raising your voice at him won't make any things better.

You were walking on the sidewalk, reminiscing the old days, past memories, and the youthful you. You unknowingly smiled bitterly, remembering the days you both used to fight but couldn't let the night pass without making up.

"You planned this for me?" He said and gave you a warm, embracing hug. You were happy for sure. You succeeded on surprising him on his birthday, planning alongside his group mates, getting everything organized until everything's ready. You let yourself melt in his arms, hugging him tightly before giving him a peck on his cheeks.

You also remembered the sweet scenarios you lived and loved. You couldn't resist every single thing from him. You adored him, protected him, and loved him truly. Everything felt so good and true. You forgot the everything is temporary.

"Let's break up." He mutterd before walking away, leaving you alone, in the verge of tearing up. He left you with no explanation, walking past the exit of the cafe as you stared at him, dumbfounded.

And now, you've recovered from the heartache. You learned to never give a permanent feelings to a temporary person. You lose your petals but you gained some thorns.

And now, no more tears. You exhaled a sharp breathe as you get closer in line. Hundreds, even thousands of people attended their fan meet and you were included in the mentioned crowd. You were excited, nervous, happy, you ain't sure what to feel anymore.

You watched as the group interacted with the fans seated in front of them. You couldn't wait for your turn but your breathing almost stopped as he stared directly at you, his dark brown eyes staring deep into your orbs as your heart pounded rapidly. Your hand came up to your chest, clutching tightly on the top of your blouse, trying almost anything to get you back to reality as your mind twisted into a angsty reality.

You exhaled deeply, calming yourself before the security guard let you free as you were next in line.

You walked onto the stage and he was the first you saw. He was seated seated fourth from you. You ignored him until it was his turn.

"Can you sign this for me?" You smiled as you handed him your copy of their newest album. You tried to keep yourself together while your hands betrayed you, trembling in cold. This is your first encounter with him after you broke up and you weren't sure what to do.

"Of course." He smiled sweetly, enough to make you remembered your shared memories with him. You both could've been together. You supporting him as an artist, cheering him up on his concerts, surprising him at their studio, and giving him gifts on occasions. But fate wasn't at your side at the moment.

After he gave you back your own merchandise, you handed him a gift wrapped neatly and a red ribbon tied on top of it. It was an Optimus Prime figurine that costs dollars on Amazon. It was his favorite, you were sure. You need not to think twice whether you'll buy that figurine or not, you just wanted to give him something as a sign of gratitude towards him.

He was taken back but still accepted the gift you handed to him. He stared at you, admiring what he lost. He observed how your eyes shine brightly and how your lips curled up as you smiled sincerely towards him. Hmow could his life had been if he didn't needed to end your relationship together.

His eyes never let you go, not paying attention on the fan in front of him. He was captured and captivated by your presence, just like how he first met you. How he wishes you both could start over again.

You could still support him, cheer him up on his appearance at variety and reality shows, give him some boost when he's feeling down.

You could still love him,

but only as his fan,

and not his girlfriend anymore.

“Minhyun!” running down the stairs screaming your boyfriend’s name only happened on very specific occasions: when he got back home after being away for a long time, or when you found a bug you refused to get rid of.

This time, however, you weren’t in any of those situations, which was why Minhyun immediately got up from his place on the couch, rushing to see what was happening to you.

“Do you want to build a snowman?!” you squealed, jumping the last two steps and letting him catch you in a less than graceful manner.

Minhyun groaned audibly, letting go of your waist. “You came down running just to quote Frozen to me?”

“What? No! It’s snowing!” you cheered, pulling him towards the window. Letting go of his hand as soon as he leaned to take a look outside. “Let’s go!”

“Don’t you dare go outside like this,” he warned, pointing to your thin clothing. “You’re going to freeze AND get sick.”

“It’s fine,” you assured, grabbing the jacket hanging on the coat rack by the door. “It’s snowing!” you cheered once again.

Letting you go outside first, Minhyun went back upstairs to find another jacket for himself and warmer clothing for you, including a scarf and some gloves. Snow was covering the yard by the time he came out, and you were shivering as you approached the door.

“I told you so,” you said in his place, puffing your cheeks as your breath made small clouds in the air. “But look! I made a mini snowman.”

Minhyun looked above your shoulder at the tiny snowman with no eyes or nose, as he wrapped the scarf around your neck and zipped the jacket further up. “It’s cute,” he said simply, still focused on the fact that your fingers were frozen.

“Let’s build one together?” you offered, a big smile on your lips as you kissed his worried pout away.

ARON

The night outside. You’re watching the dark sky through a window of his car. Aron’s hand rests next to your thigh, palm leaning against the knob of gear shift. He hums along with the radio, eyes gazing at you every now and then. You only act oblivious. There’s a wandering thought that perhaps he wants to say something and though you wait, he never does, just stares. As if enchanted, but by what exactly, you cannot figure out.

A bite on your cheek. It takes you by surprise, freezing in place, because who would even think to do so? Surely not Aaron? And yet, he’s the one visible in your peripheral vision. Absurd. He’s not the one to do things as drastic, even in the privacy of his own four walls. The pain doesn’t strike you, but the tickling in your throat, an effect of holding back laughter, does turn more unbearable with each passing second. Until you can’t keep it locked any longer, and the force pulls you out of Aaron’s already weak hold.

Running a few meters to catch up to him. Aaron didn’t stop along with you, but you quickly realize it wasn’t on purpose. As your hand grabs his elbow, he turns to watch you with innocent curiosity. He doesn’t mention the moment. And though you want to scold him - leaving your s/o behind is a no joking matter - the expression on his face makes you drop the topic. Aaron continues chattering about his day, so you listen, holding onto his arm just in case he doesn’t notice your departure next time.

Awkward glances. Aaron knows it’s not right, or at least how it should be, but he’s too confused to put thoughts into words. You, on the other hand, know he wants the best, which should be enough. The key word being should. When you’re brave enough, you return one of the stares. His first instinct is to retract, but just a look away has him thinking that perhaps it’s not the best course of action. Without a second glance, he reaches forward, to open the space by his side, just in case you decide you need it.

The lack of him in general. Neither your phone, nor your senses are graced by his presence. It’s as if he has never existed, and you’re close to believing that yes, indeed, he’s just a product of your vivid imagination. That he’s someone you’ve once dreamed about, or just a silhouette from family pictures, whose face is known, but ghostly. Days pass with you suffering from a heartache and that’s all he is - a ghost.

Irritating pain in your eyes. The hour is late. The day’s effect is catching up to you. It’s too difficult to keep your eyes open. Jonghyun says something, but your clouded mind doesn’t catch a word. When you ask him to repeat, he just releases a good-natured laugh, as if your tragic state was a laughing matter. It’s his fault, after all. He’s the person responsible for keeping you awake past midnight. And even his adorable reaction to your sleepiness won’t correct his wrongdoings.

Holding his baseball cap, stunned that it’s the only thing of his you have that still smells of him. It’s weird to take comfort in something so... uncommon, but you’re too desperate at this point. The painful knowledge of him being away has you resorting to the strangest. Before the cap, you clung to his favorite yogurt. Before it, there was the shampoo he always uses. And though nothing has lasting effect, the moment of breathing in a familiar smell clears your head. Just a few seconds, but painless seconds.

Fingertips on your closed eyelids. Pressure on the lashes. Breath on your cheek. Coldness by your legs. Skin skimming against skin, only to disappear in a second. The hour must be late. A little concerned, you finally open your eyes. Jonghyun sighs in surprise. Like a deer caught in headlights, he’s frozen in his spot. Guilt strikes his features. He’s sure his carelessness woke you up. But who would be mad at the sweetest guy alive? If he can’t sleep, then so can’t you. That’s the verdict.

Small words of appreciation, you didn’t realize you needed. They always take you by surprise. One would think them an ambush, meant to bring Jonghyun a gift in the form of your embarrassed smile. But just a mention of his possible hidden intentions makes his face harden. How can you assume such vile things about his motives? All the compliments are genuine! Your embarrassment is just a bonus!

Being avoided. Though you lean forward to embrace him, Jonghyun turns away. His face is unreadable, empty. Your hands manage to lock around his waist in time, but they’re obviously unwelcome there. As if you were a virus, you’re rejected. Jonghyun stands stiff in your weak hold, wordless and emotionless. It hurts. It really hurts. You’re left with no other option, but to let him go. What he wants at the moment is not you. The only right course of action is to accept it.

BAEKHO

The plush of his lips on the back of your neck. It’s in a way restless - Dongho shows no sign of wanting to stop. His legs are settled around your hips, locking you in the embrace. There are things you should be doing instead of letting him lull you into sweet comfort, but he’s never once backed from an ambush. You may be trying to work, yet you do want him to take your mind off of the stress as well.

His silence. Mouth occupied by pancakes, Dongho doesn’t speak. Every then and now he just graces you with small noises of content. Their appearance is a spark of electricity, opening your mouth in a smile. Though your work doesn’t end at making him comfort food, the progress in lifting his spirits is still a success that should be celebrated. And so, you gift yourself with the continuation of staring at Dongho’s passionate eating habits. He’s too taken by the pancakes to notice it.

Fingernails scratching stitches on your jeans. He’s nervous, this much is obvious. The empty look on his face tells you that the thoughts have taken Dongho miles away, and none of your words will be registered by his mind. The scratching turns weaker for a moment as he glances at the clock. Its ticking seems to irritate him only more. Finally, you cover his hand with your own and Dongho smiles a little. You presence alone won’t save him, but it does give him a little bit of warmth and assurance, that at the end of the day, he’s not alone.

A little yelp of excitement, so inaccurate for a man built like Dongho. Though he’s more of a big bad wolf appearance-wise, his smiling face reminds you of a baby. He dances around the room, eyes bright and happy. None of the questioning looks you shoot his way are enough to grant you an answer. Dongho ignores your stares, until he finally grabs your hands to pull you along. For a long time he doesn’t explain what the hell is going on, but when he’s acting like that, you cannot just stop him. The questions have to wait.

How his fists tighten when he’s mad. Dongho doesn’t think about hiding them, he’s too taken by the all-consuming anger. It’s a normal thing to get frustrated, but somehow, seeing him mad is... different? You’re not used to the paling insides of his fingers, an effect of limited blood flow. You know he won’t do anything, it’s just his way of offloading, and yet, somewhere deep in your mind, you’re scared. Terrified, but of the possibility it will stay this way between you and him.

MINHYUN

Reaching for his hand when the moment feels vile. Minhyun, though not a fan of publicly displayed affection, doesn’t take his fingers away. They interlock with yours, grip quick to tighten in a comforting manner. The world instantly seems a little bit more bearable. As soon as you turn to look at him, Minhyun’s gaze meets yours. There’s a question whether you’re fine. Not wanting to have him worried any longer, you nod yes. With him, you’ll be fine.

The coldness of an ice pack. Your momentary lack of focus costed you pain and tears. Now Minhyun, taking the role of a house nurse, stands behind you, holding a bundle of ice cubes and using the moment to scold you. Because how dare you hurt yourself when he’s just a few steps away? How dare you not give him a chance to save you from the dangers of living? How dare you roll your eyes when he’s teaching you an important lesson of self-preservation? And don’t even think about whining at the coldness, it’s meant to freeze!

A laptop you have completely forgotten. Though Minhyun’s attention is all on you and he’s reaching lower your back, the sound of crashing electronics forces you apart. You take a look at his swollen lips before turning to search for the source of all commotion. Minhyun’s hands fall on your thighs, still not ready to let go completely. He doesn’t seem concerned about the noise. If anything, it’s the growing distance between the two of you that he’s wary of. When you sheepishly tell him that it’s his laptop that fell, he just grunts and then pulls you back.

Washing your hands when he encircles you from behind. Minhyun’s head rests on your shoulder, meanwhile his fingers cover yours under the stream of running water. He doesn’t speak. There’s no need, you know he expects you to wash his hands as well. It’s a little thing you have a habit of spoiling him with. As you silently comply, Minhyun laughs, chest trembling against your back. Though you can’t see, you can feel his gaze on your profile.

A heavy gaze. One that pushes you down, until you’re flat against the ground, trembling in fear, because you’re its object. Minhyun won’t say a word, but he watches, as if he was feeding on your terror. But how can someone be vicious enough to put a boot on your lungs and remain silent, indifferent to the tortures they’re putting you through? Of course, he’s awaiting a grand apology, but even tired, breathless from the anger olympics, you don’t want to relent. Not when he’s not free of his own wrongdoings.

REN

The stark shape of his nose, digging itself into your cheek. Minki is trying to get a reaction out of you, but while doing so, he only causes you a meltdown inside. Instead of a grimace, he’s rewarded with a sweet smile. Minki wants to push your buttons more, the soul of a troublemaker is chewing his ear off, and yet he gives up. It doesn’t go past your attention - his defeated, but genuine smile is a sight to behold.

Delicate skin you are allowed to touch. Minki’s facing away from you, either moaning or whining, depending on what nerve you’re currently crunching. Few times he tries to swat your hands away, but you’re not that easily scared by his threats. They can’t be serious. When he makes a sarcastic comment about your great massage techniques, you act dumb and dig where it hurts him. Minki scowls, but gives up, promising he won’t open his mouth again. A few minutes is how long he can go without uttering a word.

The moment he forgets himself in the feeling of being close. Minki’s hot breath is blowing at your lips, and though you anticipate a kiss, it’s never placed. It’s as if some greater being has stopped the time for him, imprisoning Minki in the pose. Having him so close is heavenly, but just as happy as you are, the need to laugh overpowers. His eyes open at the sound, surprised. Once again, he returns to the body of a born teaser.

A pair of gloves, thrown at you seemingly out of annoyance. At least that’s what’s written on Minki’s face. Annoyance, because you’re forgetful enough to hurt yourself in the cold season. Stiff fingers have trouble putting the material on. You hesitate. Is it really okay for you take the gloves? Minki gave you them himself, but sometimes we hurt ourselves for others. It’s a reminder that he cares a lot, no matter how much of trouble he’s brought you. Or how deep is the frown on his features.

The face of disinterest. You hate it with burning passion. It’s his way of telling you that things aren’t alright between the two of you. That he feels distaste, as if he was staring at a plate of mold. Minki’s words are cold, pulled straight out of freezing temperatures. They make your back stiffen, eyes glaze over, hands tighten their grip. You want to disappear, melt away and seep through the ground to mix with the depths. Maybe then you wouldn’t have to suffer at the hands of his indifferent facial expression.

Saving Ruins

Prompt: “You’ve got to be kidding me!” - @challengingwords

Pairing: Aaron Kwak (Aron) x reader

Genre: fluff

Warnings: none

Word count: 554

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” you breathed exasperatedly, both of your hands rising to scrunch up your hair within them before you attempted to place them around the neck of the man before you instead.

Aaron laughed uneasily. “It’s not that bad, Y/N.”

“No, you’re right; it’s not that bad, it’s worse! I cannot believe I left you in charge of watching over it. What was I thinking?!”

“That your boyfriend is trustworthy?” he offered and then sighed when you narrowed your gaze on him. “Okay, so I got hungry and left the sculpture unattended for maybe five minutes. That’s all I was away for and-”

“It took five minutes for this type of destruction?!”

You had been constructing a cathedral template for an upcoming presentation at work. It wasn’t something you had just slapped together with a bit of paper and glue. No, you had painstakingly been layering it up bit by bit, spending so far four days on the project.

And just like that, it was in ruins much like the fallen cathedral the corporation you worked for wished to rebuild. You almost laughed at the irony, but the bitterness in your chest trapped it within, the finger now being pointed at yourself.

You had only yourself to blame for this.

Dropping to crouch beside the chewed up beams, you willed yourself not to cry. Aaron sat beside you. “I didn’t think Kkotsunie would do anything to it. Normally that’s Noah and he was with me watching me make some food.”

“It’s not your fault.”

“Well, no, it’s Kkot-”

“It’s mine for being stupid enough to leave it on this table,” you concluded tearfully. You were exhausted. It had been a long four days and knowing you’d have to reconstruct the whole thing almost from scratch again made you wonder why you were even bothering with the visual. You already had drawn up the 3D computer image. You wondered if that would be enough, even though you knew the opposing team had tasked Minki with their proposal. He was always your biggest competitor, and you could only imagine what amazing concept he was going for.

You were close to defeat before the race had even begun.

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Aaron’s fingers had something on them. Lifting your head up, you then noticed the repaired wall on the east side of your structure. You reached out to take his hand. “Did you… did you try to repair it?”

“Yeah,” he mentioned softly. “I mean, I don’t know how you did this for as long as you did. The glue gets everywhere and-”

Moving to kiss him gently, you then smiled gratefully. “I take it back.”

“Which part?” he mused, angling his face in hopes of another kiss.

“The part where I said it was worse.”

“Can I make it better?” he offered and you waited for Aaron to continue. He grinned. “I’ll help you fix it. If we both work on it together, it won’t take nearly as long, right?”

You nodded happily. “You know, you really are a trustworthy boyfriend to have.”

“You acknowledge it now, huh?” He laughed and then picked up the pieces that were salvageable. “Shall we get cracking?”

You knew with Aaron’s help, you wouldn’t go down in ruins after all.
