13 reasons why Teen Wolf the Movie is a big NO (Spoilers)

No Stiles

All the characters are 30+ but still acting/talking like they were teens. And I thought Eli was the one supposed to keep the "teen" element alive!

They brought back a character who'd been dead for like 18 years at that point in the story, and unnecessarily killed one of the best characters in the show (a character that had already suffered enough and was finally in a good place and had reasons to live for)

Almost all the couples broke up, but why? I mean, how did Malia and Parrish even happened? Just because they were the only ones who stayed in BH? And Melissa and Chris? They were adults, they could have worked! I get the kids, it would not be realistic if all the couples were still together 15 years later, but at least they could have told us HOW and WHY they broke up!!!

No Isaac, no Theo, no Ethan, no Braeden (soo, who's Eli's mom if we left Derek with her and he's clearly not her son?), but mostly NO STILES

Lame plot tbh (the revenge thing was awful and how is that teacher even alive? And I mean, I rewatched the show a year ago and I didn't even remember him). Also, what happened with the hunters after the series finale?

The Nogitsune was the best villain of the show, they ruined that too (but it was a long shot from the very beginning, as in s03 Dylan O'brien did a marvellous job with that character it was nearly impossible to live up to the expectations). Even its schemes were dull, in s03 the Nogitsune was bloody brilliant

Where did the chemistry this cast used to share go?

Shouldn't Allison be the same age as she was when she died? Therefore she shouldn't be with Scott at all? She literally regenerated herself wtf this makes no seeensee, also she was with Isaac when that happened, it was already bad that in her final moments she was thinking only about Scott, but now it's like Isaac never even existed, she didn't even mention him!

They took back the stydia endgame. THE AUDACITY

Liam and Mason didn't even meet wtf

Why did Scott suddenly go full Enchantix in that scene, what was that?

Kira's substitute just being put there and robbing us of the Thiam dream (assuming that he's in a relationship with her, I mean, they only hinted at that)

I know I passed the 13 reasons, but the CGI was so awful that I have to mention that. The same goes for the dialogues.

And also, 6 seasons of "being a pack" and 15 years later they all live in different places and barely talk to each other. Disappointing.

I was so happy when this movie was announced. Now I feel like it was so unnecessary... I guess I never learn... I hate revivals so much. It's always like this. I'm sure I could find other stuff I didn't like about this movie, but Derek being dead is the most upsetting of them all, so I'll just end the rant here and pretend this movie never came out in the first place

Jikooker here! ☺️ I do for the most part think Jk and Jm are dating especially with the many 'tells' these past few weeks 👀 but why does it seem like they're on completely opposite schedules lately? Jm just finished his promos, now JK is already in LA working on his album. Do you think the company is minimizing their time together for optics purposes pre-military, or that it's just the timing or nature of their solo work? The two of them NOT being on camera together almost seems even more sus.

This is my opinion, of course, but I think it's just the way things were decided since the beginning. Also, from what we have seen, 2 members release their own work per quarter, so Jhope and Rm, then Suga and Jimin, and then Jungkook and Tae. Jin's single was different because of his enlistment. I suppose that was the basic idea but we don't really know everything that goes behind the scenes and why the scheduling messed up somewhere along the way (side eyeing BH for doing Jimin dirty).

Jimin said he began working on his album around April of last year and it took him 10 whole months to have it ready plus promo time. He didn't leave the studio much (but you know, Jk can go there 👀), Jk was working on his collab with Charlie Puth that summer too and also had the Fifa performance. Then the fashion collabs. So they've been busy and Jimin's work just required more time and commitment. And now Jk's turn is next. From what has been said, Jimin "abandoned" society for a bit to focus only on his album but who knows how Jk's mind functions during creative times.

Now, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that they are a private couple and their love is not for the cameras. But if we notice, ever since they came from from Las Vegas and they went incognito mode, there was less hate for them. But even then, they are jikooking behind the scenes. K-army has seen them. But also, they can't really go all out because of work issues, you get me?

And if we think about it, it IS sus that we haven't seen them on camera but also, there hasn't been many chances to see them. There just isn't a reason for them to appear together. But if you look back at the Busan after live, there they were...

And also in the concert practice together... BAM.

If we look back a little more, we saw them together at Jhope's party. "Being shy"...sure.

And how Jk was satellite-ing during Run episodes and this...I dont even know how to call this lol

So if we point a camera at them long enough, Jikook starts doing questionable things.

And since they are whispering loudly that they are together, we also have all the weverse interactions that left us all in a daze lol

I know that for the longest time, people were saying that Jikook wasn't interacting because of the military issue and I never thought that made sense. Like yeah, ok, 1 year of not being loud is going to erase the countless questionable moments, interactions, and footage. Just didn't make sense to me.

But now we know that Jimin was busy. And that's all I can say.

I ain't gonna lie. JK kinda being a bit of a shit stirrer today. Why is he posting pictures adding up to 13 like he's baiting Jimin, but posting the food in the same set of dishes that Tae owns? Tae already showed that dish set in his story not long ago. Kinda like that day JK said Jimin was his, but turned around and said Tae was his. JM's in NY minding his business, while JK's kinda being messy. Well, at least both sets of shippers are happy & fighting at the same time over who JK is really posting for.

2) Remember when Jimin said the best part that represented him was the timestamp 1:23 on the One Day MV?

Remember how JK started recommending songs to army and pausing the songs at 1:23? He did this continuously without fail. (Manilla fight)

When Jikookers started celebrating this guess what the vermin did? They took the 123 theory and decided to relate that to Vkook. Even though they never would have done that shit, if Jikookers didn't point it out. According to them, 123 was about Tkk because V was born on 12th December 🤦🏽‍♀️

Shouldn't it have been 1230 then?? Why did they get rid of the 0? For convenience as always. 🙄🙄 Well, joke's on them, because JK stopped doing this. This is one of the earliest moments of JK debunking Tkkrs.

3) When Jkkrs noticed the JM and started talking about it.

The vermin said the tiger was about them. Because V's animal is a tiger.

Fuck the fact that the tiger and Korean culture go hand in hand. But guess what JK did when he met Poly C? He👏🏾covered👏🏾that👏🏾shit👏🏾up! Sure the man and the rest of BTS hated how the SK government were treating them. Sure he hates how he can't even show the world who he's in love with due to his homophobic country, so he decided the Tiger didn't mean that much to him after all. But I bet he saw a chance to kill 2 birds with one stone and he did. Fuck SK and fuck Tkkrs. Boom! Done.

4) When Karmy nick named Jikook the Sun and Moon duo because satellite Jeon is always orbiting Jimin like the moon orbits the sun, The vermin also started calling Tkk the Sun and Moon duo. Their reason? Don't ask me. Idk and idc. Too bad though, coz even BH knows who are the REAL Sun and Moon duo

5) While we are on the "mine" topic. Karmy already explained the difference between JK saying Jimin is his Vs when he said (warning RIP your algorithm if you click on this) V is his. According to Karmy, with V it came off more like a statement. With Jimin it was possessive, AF. And I agree. Not just because I'm a Jikooker, but because you don't need to be Korean to hear the difference.

For context: An army asked JK to give Jimin to them and JK was like; he's mine. But here is what u have to keep in mind. The V one came way, way, waaaaaay later than the Jimin one. As soon as he said Jimin was his, the vermin kept pestering JK with the same thing the former Army asked about Jimin. So going by JK's tone, it seems to me like he said what he said about V, to shut them up. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The difference is in the tone, guys. U don't gotta be Korean to hear it.

These are just a few examples. And now you're telling me, even though our numbers theory makes more sense, Tkkrs are claiming what JK is doing on weverse for themselves because of a plate?? A plate? Really.

This is just like when they decided Tkk went snowboarding because of a pair of shoes. Like no one else owns those shoes apart from JK and V 🤡 Again, someone please explain to me how people take them seriously. Please. They want what we have soooooo bad. They have always wanted what we have.

Jin can grab V's balls or whatever tf this was. Taejin what goes on??? 🧐🧐

And the vermin did not bat an eye. Not one fucking peep from them. But in the same memories 2021, Jimin gets embarrassed and does the simple act of hiding his face in JK's neck (something he has done for years BTW)

And ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!!

You cannot tell me these people don't know Jikook is real. If they didn't see what we see they wouldn't want what we have so bad. And they certainly wouldn't feel so damn threatened.

So anon, JK owning the same plate as V, cannot even be compared to JK making a post on Jimin time. It ain't and will never be the fucking same. Please.

JK's live 4 March 2023 1:47 am KST

Part 1

This is a hard one for me.

It' took me time to sit myself down and watch the actual whole live, and I preferred to wait for the Weverse full translation before coming here to write my post.

I assume most of you read my post about JK's previous live, but to those of you who haven't:

JK coming back live more or less 24 hours after I posted that, still while discussing my thoughts I put down to paper in that post, that hit hard for me.

I know, as usual there were those wearing rose tinted glasses unwilling to see JK, not for real. Not in the last live and not now either.

I am glad many are taking to heart his honest words about being harassed by so called fans (he was so respectful even though these people deserve no respect what so ever, but that's JK for you in a nutshell), asking, pleading to be able to have the privacy he deserves.

And I saw many enjoyed the live, his singing, his dancing, Tae popping in, and it's alright. It's also alright if you can't see that not all is well. Even though it's screaming in our faces. Because even if you don't see it, just being there, showering him with positive love like many of you do is good enough. It's kind of the most that us fans can do in any case.

That and reporting, blocking accounts and people that are out to harass and hurt him and JM. Not share their disgusting crap. It's not about likes for our accounts, it's about trying to protect those two, make their lives a little easier, a little safer, allowing them a sense of security.

While writing these lines I came by the new postings from that deranged, supposedly not sasaeng that uploaded the clip of JK from the gym. Please do not follow this person. And if you come by her postings, please report them. Send to BH. I, for obvious reasons, will not share her vile posts, but she has to be gone, like yesterday.

Moving on. I guess I'm here to talk about this over 2 hours and 20 minutes live right?

I’m not going to get into every single little thing that happened but I do want to touch on a few things.

First of all, the playlist. JK was singing his heart out during this live. Like the first hour or so is mainly JK singing and dancing and going to get himself some water, and then some beer, and dancing some more and singing some more.

JK on a beer run.

He does some of that in the second half of the live too, but in that second half is where the interesting talk happens. His plea for privacy, Tae showing up and JK talking to him, at him, not sure which. Did I mention he inserted Tae's name into song lyrics too? Lol.

The way he loves Army, I just cannot describe it. We know he does, cause, and I’ve mentioned this before, he says it, writes it in letters to Army, writes songs for Army, cries for and with Army, and he does things for Army, to make them happy.

So, he sang Naatu Naatu and Indian Army were overjoyed. He just wants to please us. Make us happy.

I kind of think we should be doing the same. As Army. Sending him our love. Showing him just how much we respect him. See him for the person he is, the human being he is, and love him for it. I know there is no IG now, but there is Weverse. And even for the smallest possibility that JK might see our messages, we need to keep sending them to him. You know #to_Jungkook.

Oh, and call out those that don’t respect him too.

Ooh, and we got 10,000 hours again. You know, right?

That man is the cutest thing ever (well it’s a super close competition with his bf, but at the moment JK’s in the lead). Oh, we also had JK farting, bless his heart (I feel like a mama with that joyous feeling after your baby burps and passed gas, lmao). The way he waves his hand to get rid of the smell though. And him excusing it with: a. he’s human (yes, he told us we fart too in Busan, we remember that); and b. it’s not his fault, it’s the gassy drink.

Did I mention he was cute? I mentioned he was cute, right? Lol

He kept doing these close ups to the camera, used the light from the live screen to check out where to put the batteries for his mic, lol. Showing us his beer, showing us the candle, showing us himself.

We got JK and his ASMR candle (on and off during the live).

JK listened to Hobi’s song for the first time during this live. Twice. Going back to see the lyrics too.

Have we noticed by now that JK’s coat, JK’s stuff, seem to be laying on the sofa. Like he just came in or is just going out or just doesn’t seem to give the ora of permanency?

This is a man that we know to be tidy. I mean:

We know which suitcase was JK’s. He literally showed us.

And he does have empty, lonely clothes rack just there, you know, waiting for his homey stuff to be hung up… unless, wait, this isn’t much of a home of his…

JK was talking with Army, checking comments, replying to them. But he wasn’t playing the game, so to speak. You know, the one where he seems to be available for them. Do you know what I mean?

The three second or minute “we’re dating game”, he wasn’t up to it.

Someone asking to eat his cheeks (ewww, cringe), he wasn’t having it.

As I mentioned, and you all know by now, cause you know, no way the cult wouldn’t shut up about it, Tae commented during JK’s live.

JK’s reaction to Tae joining was nice. Not overjoyed. Not over interactive with him. I mean, he did answer his questions, but was also that’s that. He continued looking for songs to sing, then inserted Tae in the song he sang, went to see if Tae was still there, and he wasn’t, so his reaction was kind of “oh ok, he’s gone”, and moving on.

The comments above aren’t exactly in the order they were on the live…

Then he vocalizes - sings: How fun, Tae Tae’s here…

JK’s asked to sing Lemon, and he’s going through the process of looking for the song, and just before the song starts this happens...

Tae comments about the beer drinking and gaining weight. Yeah sure Tae, just the thing to say to the same person that was too skinny just a couple of weeks back and that his bf was overjoyed he was eating.

But you see, JK doesn’t seem bothered by Tae’s comments, lol.

His answer is to the likes of “well, I have to finish off the beer in the house, don’t I?” – iron logic indeed, lol.

So he stops it a second to answer.

And once again he’s about to start when:

So, Tae goes on with “let’s have 50 bottles”. This wasn’t him suggesting that JK drink 50 bottles. Him saying there being 50 bottles (as in JK has to drink 50 bottles to get through them), to which JK answers that there aren’t even 10 can’s left.

I wonder if the cult paid attention to that chit chat. Wouldn’t the bf they claim is living with him in that apartment kind of know how many beers are left in the fridge? Ok then, not exact number, but seriously, there is a huge difference between 10 and 50, even for means of exaggeration. Or if they are bottled or canned? That is a bit of a difference in the fridge, which he supposedly shares, no?

Just one more of those little tiny winey things that disprove their shit. Which they are full of.

And then JK proceeds to sing the song.

In which, at some point he inserts Taehyungie into his lyrics while looking at the monitor, checking the comments and says:

And continues to sing.

Anyways, once again one of those mate interactions they are so good at. That’s them. Good mates. They are. They spend time together, talk to each other, play games together, we’ve said it all before.

But one thing they definitely are not, and that’s a loving romantic couple.

Period.

Guys I love Ashton so much and I have so many thoughts about them. He's easily my favorite character that Taliesin has played simply because he's a mess. They have no memory of their past or childhood, they only remember watching someone who felt like family be ripped apart. Then he was alone in the desert. Who knows how long he spent wandering before someone found him and brought them to an orphanage. At this point Ashton's just a kid who has literally no experiences other than loss and being alone.

Then they go to a shitty orphanage and meet a group of people who begin to feel like family. They grow up together and start a little adventuring crime party. He'll never admit it but Ashton loves this group and finally feels like they found where they belong. Then a job goes bad, the group's about to get caught and Ashton gets hurt. He falls off that balcony and the last thing they hear before waking up on Milo's table is someone yelling to leave him because he's dead. But they were still alive and conscious at that point. If the nobodies actually loved him then how could they leave him behind.

He wakes up on Milo's table, maybe alone maybe with Milo leaning over them. Either way, the nobodies, his family and the group he loved has left them behind. Ashton takes on their debt and agrees to work to Hexum so she doesn't hunt the rest of them down because you take care of family. They could have taken Milo with them and left town but instead he stayed behind to protect a group of people who left him behind. They insist that they don't blame the nobodies and that he would have done the same, but if he was really willing to completely cut ties then they wouldn't have taken on their debt. And the nobodies never come back. As far as we know they never make an attempt to contact Ashton or make sure he's okay. They just leave and move on with their lives. Family doesn't forget like that. Family fights for each other and makes sure nobody is left behind. So maybe the nobodies weren't family, or at least Ashton wasn't family.

Then they meet FCG. A little traumatized robot in the desert. Ashton could have so easily sold them or convinced them that their purpose was to serve him. Instead Ashton spends their time protecting letters and encouraging them to stand up for themself. Ashton tries to convince them that he can be his own person and that he does have a soul. They could have paid off their debt to Hexum by giving her Letters, but Ashton knows what it's like to be left by someone you care about, so he never mentions them to her.

Then he meets this ragtag group of people with just as much if not more damage than him. And he grows to care about them. They watch time and time again as the Bell's Hells refuse to leave each other behind and try to help each other get better. And the entire time Ashton reminds them that they don't leave people behind. He was abandoned and there's nothing he can do to change that, but they can make sure nobody else feels that way.

But then Otohan happens and shit hits the fan. The plan is to run and everyone scatters, but Ashton goes down in the opening round. And instead of leaving them behind bh gets him backs up and won't leave until he can get away too. Then everyone starts dropping but the group refuses to leave anyone behind. And all of a sudden Orym, Laudna, and Fearne are dead and they don't have the spells to save Laudna. But instead the group travels to a different continent and beg for help. They enter a dreamscape and fight Delilah Briarwood all for the chance to bring Laudna back. And the nobodies left them when they thought he might be dead.

But everything is moving too fast to fully process and talk about. Then he has some downtime on the airship before the solstice and they might die figuring out where they came from and finding out why the nobodies left him. And there has to be part of them that's wondering if bh would go to the same effort that they did for Laudna to bring him back if he died. His last family abandoned him how does he know this one won't too? And despite all of the trauma in this group none of them can really understand him. Sure Laudna knows what it's like to be lonely and to die, but she also knows how it feels to have your family around when you're brought back. Plus she knows where she came from. Because despite everything that's happened to them, Ashton still desperately wants to know where they came from. What if he had a family? What if that family left them behind too? What if Ashton's the problem? Would the nobodies have left anyone else in the group behind or was Ashton the only one they didn't care about?

Every day I get more certain that there is no real ship. The members and the company let this shipping thing going on all these years because it benefits them, both in terms of money and being free to date who they want. There are more things that prove Jkk, Tkk or any other ships isn't real than the things that have been interpreted, from us shippers, as being real.

I’m super late on this but when you sent this I started on it, and then was promptly very overwhelmed by a large number of asks and kind of shut down. I found it in my drafts so figured I’d finish and post it, if you still care! Lol. Totally understand if you don’t 🤣

I already know I’m going to ramble so let’s get this out of the way — that’s a perfectly fine conclusion to come to. If that’s how you feel, it’s how you feel. I don’t know the inner workings of KPop marketing, so I couldn’t say whether as a whole they tend to “promote” ships (i.e. fanservice and questionable photoshoot concepts/poses, even mv interactions — is that what you mean?) because it makes them money, or if they follow the fans to see what they’re squawking about online and then serve up content to kind of give the people what they want. In other words, I’m not sure which came first, the chicken or the egg. I think we’d need an industry professional in the KPop media landscape, someone who’s followed KPop a lot longer than me, or at least a blogger more observant and analytical than me to tease that out.

On Jikook specifically — I have a few rebuttals to the idea that the relationship (whether it’s romantic or not) so many of us have clued into is some sort of fabricated marketing scheme. At the very least, it’s not only that. Let’s get into them.

#1: Just because something is marketable doesn’t make it fake.

Are their subgroup photoshoots adorable and thick with chemistry? Yep. Do I think for one moment that there was a BH executive behind the camera telling JK to look at Jimin like THAT? With the slow-gaze drop down to his lips (or his ass)? Idk, to me that’s laughable. He just does. Like, I think two things can be true at the same time: Jimin and Jung Kook can look objectively good together and also be a popular pairing within the fandom and so the company can kind of play into that and promote their interactions, and ALSO they can have a naturally affectionate, long-standing close personal relationship that boosts the chemistry of those interactions. Does that make sense? It’s sort of like when celebrities who are love interests in a movie do a press circuit, and they have palpable sexual tension — that’s half the reason they were cast as romantic leads in the first place — and they also get along really well behind the scenes, because they click and also have spent a ton of time together. Of course the Warner Bros executives or whoever’s funding the movie is like hell yeah, play it up, sell those tickets — but that doesn’t invalidate the fact that the co-stars have likely truly become close and truly have a connection. And, often, it’s later revealed that the co-stars have in fact been banging the whole time. Shocker. AND even if they aren’t — they still may have had a very real connection that could have definitely sparked into something more had they chosen to pursue it — for instance, I don’t think for a second that Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake wouldn’t have hooked up during FWB if he wasn’t so obsessed with his now wife (and she might have been in a relationship then too I don’t remember). And it was exactly the case with Tom and Zendaya. AND that’s just for celebrities, who’ve often only been working together for 8-9 months or so, making a movie. Not two guys who are attached at the hip and have been for the last near decade.

Whew. That was a lot of ands. Still with me?

#2: I think you’re seriously overestimating everyone’s acting ability.

Imagine being “on” all the time.

I get that they could turn things on and get purposefully flirty or suggestive during fansigns, or onstage, but BTS are some of the most prolific celebrities out there in terms of “behind the scenes” footage. They have posted hours and hours of what basically amounts to reality show content, spanning years of their lives.

“But reality TV is scripted.” Well, duh. It typically needs to have some sort of narrative, some sort of direction or it will be dull. But as anyone who watches reality TV will tell you, it’s scripted, but also it’s not. That’s what separates it from purely fictional movies and series with actors; it’s real people having, for the most part, real reactions in real time, and it’s what is so fascinating to so many people. You can script an interaction on a reality show, but it’s much harder to script every individual person’s reactions to that interaction, the interpersonal relationships that form, the nonverbal behaviors and cues, the personality traits that are revealed. More often than not, someone’s true character, or at least several facets of it, will come out when they’re on a reality show. It’s how we can confidently say that certain bachelors/bachelorettes are assholes — because even while they aren’t meant to be portrayed as such, and in fact they are actively meant to be seen as desirable, marry-able people — sometimes they just can’t hide their gross true natures. And that’s just for 1-2 seasons. Imagine pretending that well for something like 8 years of behind the scenes content. That’s approaching psychopathic levels of acting ability, and it’s an unrealistic conclusion. Maybe they’re not dating, but I believe they’re absolutely as close, if not closer, than they look. There’s no faking that level of intimacy and comfort, not for that long.

#3: I don’t agree with you that shipping allows the members to date who they want.

I’m not sure how the two things are related actually, except that maybe shippers in the fandom are more likely to dismiss dating rumors because they believe the guys to already be taken? But that’s just the thing — dating rumors have only ever been rumors for them. Nothing’s ever been confirmed, though there has been PLENTY of speculation, for Jimin and Jung Kook both. So I don’t really see how promoting Jikook as a subunit has protected them from any of that? #4: I don’t ship/support Jikook because of their contrived interactions.

I support them and believe them to be in a romantic relationship, or at least something that is not strictly platonic, because of their tension, comments, behaviors, and stories they tell of off-screen moments. Sure, maybe some PR person gave them the okay to do that dance cover of Own It, but nobody told them to do it like THAT, in a dark room, alone, with tension so thick it seeps through the screen. Yeah, they got paired up for 2021 seasons greetings, but nobody paused the shoot to remind Jung Kook to fixate on Jimin’s lips as he playfully leaned in. Yeah, they were asked to share how they felt when they heard the news about the Grammy nomination, but do you really think a PR person pulled Jimin to the side beforehand and said “psst, do that thing where you pretend you were with Jung Kook at 3 in the morning, awake for no apparent reason, the fans love that shit.” Nobody told them to take an intimate selfie in a car together and look absolutely pissed off (Jimin) scandalized (JK) and caught off guard (both) when the camera caught them. Emily in Paris isn’t over there spinning outrageous ideas in a board room and telling JK and Jimin to pause reaally awkwardly when they notice the camera in JK’s hotel room, almost like they weren’t expecting it to be there when they entered together — the ONLY members to do so.

Have I made my point? These two are a treasure trove of suspicious moments that add up, and add up, and just keep swirling together until we all kind of collectively go — huh, that doesn’t seem strictly platonic, my dudes 🧐

Idk. It seems like this fandom is very fickle, and constantly erases any and all nuance and realism for these dramatic, black or white, this or that stances that don’t really make sense in the real world. Maybe Jimin and Jung Kook have never had a romantic relationship (and if they haven’t, in my opinion, no one has, because no one else in the group has anything close to their particular cocktail of intimacy, chemistry, and suspicious moments/stories). But even if they haven’t, does that reduce their every interaction to contrived content thought up by men in suits in a conference room? Nah baby. That’s 90% them, their marketing team is just the lucky bastards that get to reap the rewards of an electric duo. Or unlucky, probably, if you ask the poor peons in charge of editing hours of content 🙃

Since you respond here quicker than ao3 and had to look up what was my question, why won't X give himself a new name post-tMFoA? I can get the explanation with Hope. (And had X had been named Hope in au, I really would’ve think Angela would scoff at the reminder from Hope the person, with the seed of light being grown by blood and suffering)

But this is actually me segue on what will X and Angela would name BH? Would it be the same as Ayin, since one is a clone and the other is his creation? (Weirdass family tree there) or one or both of them have better naming sense than him?

What about Carmen anyways, how's her naming skill? And why not throw The Distortion, I guess. Because who names them, the distorted themselves? TD? the patron librarian (and lcb sinners)?

I was mostly thinking X and Angela adopting BH post-AiP (but an au of X being part of Library founding would be neat in a different ask) but wasn’t sure how far BH is cause Angela in her bad end has ridiculously long hair, versus LoR's short hair. Cause X's fate is nebulous if he wants to live long, or died from the battle or from clone degradation.

So potentially we could have Angela adopting BH with fond memories of X, X lived long enough to love and care for BH but still cut short anyways, or none of those two and I'll finally get X/Angela slowburn.

Good questions all around! And quite the complex and interesting ones too, although I hope you'll forgive me for not replying too quickly, even though it was quicker than the time it would've taken on AO3, ahah.

Essentially, my personal reasoning for why X wouldn't change his name is that whatever he would choose wouldn't be him anymore. Being "Hope" or "Ayin 2" or any other name simply wouldn't have had the relevancy to him that X does; simply changing his name would be too easy after everything he went through, in a way. There would be no struggle in just deciding to be "Hope" from now on, but it simply isn't who he was. He was never the hope that the Corporation's denizens needed, and he wouldn't stand up to Ayin's legacy and power, he was simply an unknown factor in an otherwise perfectly planned equation. An 'X' factor, if you will.

Hence, X's name to him signifies that battle that he had to endure. It signifies that he was simply a variable that had no real purpose beyond his assigned role, a failed clone with little abilities compared to his original version and with a far meeker attitude, unimportant enough to the grand scheme of everything and everyone that he wasn't even given a proper name.

But more than just that, it especially signifies that he survived. In spite of all of these hurdles, in spite of being a faceless, nameless clone with a singular task and no grand purpose after it, in spite of being intended to simply die after his purpose was complete, he not only lived, but he carved himself into a person. The name X, then, is a proof that he survived everything that was thrown at him and gave a meaning to a nameless, faceless clone, just as Ayin gave meaning to the hollow word that 'promise' is in the City when he promised Carmen and went through the unimaginable for her.

As a last note, I think X wouldn't like discarding his name because, despite all of the negative memories associated with it, it's the name he came to recognise for himself as well. For all of the pain it holds, it holds a lot of happiness and relief as well, a constant reminder that regardless of how bleak it is, he can make it out again, just as he made it in the Corporation after countless (mostly forgotten) restarts to the Script.

As for your second question, hmmm...I think Angela would have great difficulty finding names, and honestly, so would X, seeing how both of them are either close to Ayin's method of thinking in X's case and straight-up Ayin's daughter in Angela's case, which means both of their creative skills are likely a...dud, to say the least. Still, I reckon that eventually they can settle on something that they'd find from their books, such as Aqua because X is a sentimental fool and the name reminds him of Angela's hair (plus the name is semi-neutral so whether or not the BH is a boy or a girl it'd work). But yeah, if the other Librarians were around, they'd likely be the ones to find a suitable name while Angela and X argue together about how weird/not weird their relationship/family tree is.

As for Carmen, considering she's the exact opposite of Ayin, I'd say her naming skills are vastly superior, and that she/The Distortion is likely the one that picks Distortion names, seeing how most Distortions aren't exactly conscious enough to pick their own names. If we go by the theory that Abnormality names were also spawned from Carmen's subconscious/Bucket, then she seems to have quite the palette of names to choose from, definitely something she'd be sad she couldn't transfer to her daughter, hehe.

If I recall correctly, Angela's bad ending occurs some thirteen years after Roland's defeat, so in such a scenario, I think X would definitely choose Angela repairing his wounds and degradation so he could not only live with her, but with the BH. I think X isn't averse to living a long life, actually, but I also think he would wish to die at some point. He's evaded Death long enough now, and even if he decides to grow old with Angela by his side, he has to pay his due one day, and he'd like to come to terms with it on his own instead of being forcefully evicted out of his mortal coil.

In other words, yes, I think that if Angela and X adopt the BH, you'll finally get your Angela/X slowburn, kehehe.

Am I the only one surpried about how many solos the hyung line suddenly have?!?

It looks like they came out of nowhere.

I’ve seen some ot7 talking about strategies to eredicate the solofication of the fandom🙄🫣

And while I don’t like the fights and words like impact and main event make me roll my eyes I think it’s natural for the fandom to divide itself like that because…well…these guys are having solo album and other solo contect so basically solo careers. Something that many armys don’t want to accept.

I swear this fandom really thinks these solos are like a commercial break for a football game. Something they have to watch just to be there when the game starts.

If my shitty comparison didn’t work I mean that for them this solo phase means nothing. They are waiting for that 2025 reunion which isn’t going to happen or isn’t going to be as they think.

You can see it when they are 100% more excited to see basic intercations between the members (ex:Jimin wanting J-Hope to sit next to him) than what they are doing solo(ex:the fashion event itself) and this is based on the number of likes I’ve seen on editated pictures of Jihope together.

Your comparison makes sense. Solo fans mostly want their bias to only have their own career and not resign the contract, while ot7 army do treat this like it's a phase because they want the reunion more than anything. But regardless of what fans want, I have a feeling BH is also treating this period like a commercial break. They allow them 2-3 years to release a solo album and do their military duty and then hopefully back to work. Which is why the solo era might end up being some sort of a letdown. It seems rushed so they can meet the deadline. The ideal situation, if the members truly want and still care to be a group in a few years, is to have both group and solo activities run in parallel. Just like we can clearly see with other K-Pop groups. The difference is, some of them started earlier with their own music and that helped them find their own artistic identity, while still being in a group.

I'm also not sure if Army is even taking into consideration that if BTS regroups, it's not a certainty that it will be the same as before. The same schedule, the same togetherness as they got used to.

All these needs and desires that fans have, be it army or solos, mostly reflect what they want, and not what is a more plausible and realistic outcome. Who is the one willing to not resign and break up the BTS sensation? If it happens, will we ever know? Or it will be masked by some "mutual decision"? Will BTS really want to go back to the type of work they used to do before enlistment once they are in their 30s when their priorities could change? No one has the answer, but a lot of fans seem way too sure about their predictions.

Billy the cook - BH

Summary: Now that he’s back, he’s determined to be the biggest papa bear that there has ever been.

Masterlist Asks

Billy’s been learning how to cook since his mum was around. She taught him some basics about food and kitchen safety, but then she left and Billy was hauled to the dump that is Hawkins. Every now and then he conceded and cooked dinner for him and Max when they were left alone, but other than that they were left to their own devices.

After his rescue however Billy noticed how thin the people around him were looking, himself included. With Neil out of the way and a large amount of hush money coming in each month, he subconciously started making abhorrent amounts of food as a way to help him cope with the Mind Flayer business, after all he wasn’t able to focus on being possessed if he was chopping onions and boiling pasta simultaneously. But then he was looking in the mirror and could touch his ribs, feel the ridging of his scars as he breathed and found himself needing Max’s help lifting things he used to do alone.

Billy was always quite proud of his body, not afraid to show it off whenever he got the chance; and so came to the conclusion he needed to do some major bulking.

It came to his attention soon enough that Max had slimmed down a lot too, witnessing her brother being used as a homocidal puppet for an evil interdimensional cloud of dust took a lot out of her when she was watching over him recovering in the hospital, no one totally sure if he was going to pull through.

And so his evening binges on bowls of food while watching some music video on the tv became intertwined with watching Max eat her own portion in the kitchen.

Upon discovering his sister was eating the equivalent to a child’s meal for one of her main courses of the day, Billy took it into his own hands to bulk Max up too.

“Max! Come eat.” Their new house big enough to warrant his yelling for once.

He could hear the opening of her door as she walked down to the kitchen, stopping abruptly when she saw the amount of food covering the rarely used table.

“Is someone coming over?” Max asked apprehensively, hoping the answer to be yes over having to further worry over the fact that Billy’s lost his mind.

“Nope.” Shit.

“Well what is going on here cause we are never getting through all of this?”

“Maybe not,” Billy appeared at the dining table with a cloth over his shoulder and yet another plate in his hand, “but we’re gonna damn well try.”

He’s lost his mind.

Nevertheless she sat and scooped out her usual portion before being stopped by Billy almost immediately.

“More.”

“Billy-”

“More.”

It was clearly a moot point and Max huffed but relented, allowing Billy to shovel three more spoonfuls onto her plate before handing it back. Oh well, she didn’t have to eat all of it, right?

She started struggling not even half way through the food; her brother on the other hand was chowing down like a beast, metabolism like nothing the girl had ever seen before. Max went to put her fork down like she was done.

“Don’t put that down.”

“What?”

Billy lifted his head and gave Max an unimpressed look. “At least half the plate, if not more.”

“Billy I can’t just shovel down food-”

“Eat. I’ll feed you if I have to.”

Screwing her face up at the notion, Max picked up her fork and continued to eat until at least half the plate was gone.

Billy was thrilled with himself. Every night that week he had gotten Max to eat at least double what she was before and he could see the improvement; more energy, glowy skin and she fit back into her favourite pair of shorts.

And then there came Eleven. Traumatised sweet little Eleven.

Billy knew of Max’s only girl friend but never really paid her much attention until after the Starcourt ordeal. Hop was out at work and so was quite happy for Eleven to stay with Max instead of the little dickbag Wheeler who she’d broken up with for the fourth time this week, thanks to Max.

The girls had ordered a pizza for dinner and escaped to Max’s room giggling, settling down for the night just before Billy; Max reading El a comic book before bed. Only Billy found himself peckish again later in the night and left his room to see what other treats he could find in the kitchen to see him over till morning.

However upon turning on the dim kitchen light, he found a deer-in-headlights girl staring back at him with a glass of water clenched in her fist.

“Uh hi.”

“Did I wake you?” She whispered, brown bambi eyes locked to his own baby blues.

“No, my fatass stomach did.” Billy attempted to go for a joke, landing as flat as a roof.

“I’m sorry, I’ll leave.” El turned to leave the older boy in peace, staring at the square tiles on the floor when she was stopped by a hand on her arm.

“I can’t eat everything on my own.”

And so the wide eyed little bambi was coerced to the living room sofa where she spilled everything to the older boy about her love life dilemma while they simultaneously shoved cereal in their mouths.

It was the best night El had had in a long time.

As Billy started feeling drowsy, he jerked awake at a weight leaning against his right side only to find Bambi dead asleep lolling over to rest on Billy. He didn’t move an inch for the whole night, just got as comfortable as he could and drifted off with a full stomach and weird fluttery feeling in his chest.

Next on his list was Harrington.

It was no secret that Steve spent all his free time tending to the six or seven brats he’d somehow aquired from school, leaving almost no time for himself, though he’d never complain.

It was only on a particularly gruelling day when Steve had been running back and forth from Family Video, the high school, Robin’s house, the arcade and back to Family Video that Billy really saw how drained the other Bambi in his life really was. Upon dropping Max back at their house, Steve was unceremoniously pulled through the front door as well and tugged into the kitchen, pinned by a glare so strong he thought Billy might bite him if he moved.

“Max, lunch!” Billy called through to his sister, a monster of a sandwich on her plate with an apple and crisps. Her eyes widened upon seeing it but she chuckled when Billy shot her a look as if to say ‘you’re gonna eat that if its the last thing you do’.

She disappeared into her room which left Steve as the main attraction. The boy had been feeling a tinge of dizziness since he woke up and it seemed to only be getting worse the further into the day they got. He was trying to focus on a scratch on the countertop but it just kept spinning the longer he looked at it.

“Steve?”

The mentioned breathed heavily in short bursts, hands planted on the countertop as he tried to stop himself from swaying.

“Steve?”

Billy moved round until he was behind the other boy, hands out to brace Steve if he fell. Which he did, like a damn princess.

Billy managed to hoist him onto his sofa and lifted his legs up. It only took a minute or so before Steve came back round but he was not met with a happy Hargrove.

“Uhhh hi.”

“You are not leaving this couch until I say so.”

‘Until he said so’ was three days later when Steve thought he might actually have to kill Billy with his nailed bat in order to escape the Hargrove house. He felt full constantly and was barely allowed to lift a finger unless it was to spot Billy during his workouts.

“You know, I am more than capable of feeding myself, I don’t need to be your hostage any longer.” Steve brought it up on the sunny afternoon of his third day, Billy shovelling anything sweet into his mouth as they watched The A-Team together. He shrugged and lifted another handful of M&M’s.

“So leave then.”

“That is exactly what I have been trying to do for the last three days, you won’t let me!”

“Hi Munchkin.”

El waved from the kitchen before coming over into the living room.

“You hungry?” Billy asked, sitting up to be eye level with her.

El nodded.

“You want a snack?”

She nodded again.

“Here you go, take these and share them with Max okay?” Billy handed over the rest of his M&M’s and smiled at El and she scurried off again, returning his full attention back to Steve.

The blonde pulled Steve to lie back straight on the couch and climbed on top of him, the brunette definitely being able to feel the extra weight Billy had put on.

“You won’t leave Stevie, cause you like it too much. You like the coddling and the feeding and being taken of.”

Steve spluttered indignantly as his cheeks flamed red.

“It’s okay Bambi. I don’t mind-” Billy paused to lie down all the way ontop of Steve until their noses almost touched- “In fact, I like it. I like knowing you aren’t alone in that big house all day, I like seeing that you’re taking care of yourself, I like taking care of you.”

Steve’s eyes glistened with unshed tears in the afternoon sun. He sniffled before replying with a croaky “Really?”

“Mmhmm.” Billy leant that extra bit forward and rubbed their noses together. “You gonna let me?”

“Okay.”

Billy awarded Steve one of his rare genuine smiles and tilted forward to kiss the brunette, much to the chargrin of themselves when the girls came out to ask about dinner and started squealing and screaming at their disgusting brother spreading his saliva around the communal area.

It was mostly Max and El just followed along not really knowing what was going on.

Billy knew this.

Billy now had to stop kissing his Stevie to chase Max around the house and fake wrestle her to the ground.

El decided to join.

Steve was laughing the whole time instead of helping his boyfriend being pinned down by his sisters.

Billy will have his revenge.

I kind of had a feeling Tae would have a trump card in his back pocket so I'm not that surprised. I also think some solos (jjks and pjms) underestimate how popular he is so they should get out of their imagination by the time of his album launch too. At the least pjm twt will be a bit unbearable as we get front row seats to how Jimin actually had the worst debut compared to all the members (9 days lol).

As you said, it's unsurprising that Tae'd do this. He's always been a 'its who you know not what you know' sort of guy and his strength has always lain in networking. I have to say tkk did end up being a lot cleverer than I thought. I knew Tae would try but I wasn't sure how successful he would be in ensuring he'd get some additional support apart from BH music. But all of it fits in with his character / persona.

JK is still the real revelation to me. I knew everyone curates their image obviously but this feeling I'm getting now that the whole cute humble maknae is ONLY an image still hits at my former JK bias. People keep saying the TT account launch is a smart marketing thing and they're absolutely right but his cutesy little posts to launch it really hit home for me how fake his entire persona is.

I completely agree.

I mean I'm not surprised because I already knew taehyung's true face. He doesn't really try to hide it you know.

But jungkook absolutely shocked me. He did a complete 360° lol. Where I do think TT was a smart move but you're right the way he did it in a cutesy way is maybe what other anons were talking about.

What I think is, his real personality is arrogant, selfish, entitled and that of a spoiled brat. But all these years he hid it so well behind the cute little maknae facade that he left us completely shocked when his real face came to light during seven promotions.

I can't help but think if he's manipulative. I don't know if he can be because for being manipulative you have to be a bit smart.

But Idk the way he was so arrogant when he got that #1 and during the suchwita performance which was pre-recorded. But then he saw the fans reactions and bactracked and suddenly turned humble again and suddenly he found it hard to believe that we won inkigayo. Like seriously?

It does seem a little manipulative to me.

God idk what's happening with him.

I see people using Molly’s death and how it was talked about by the cast as justyfication to why it is very likely why Laudna could stay dead too. I think this reasoning ignores a lot of important context.

1. The Mighty Nein didn’t have their healer to save Molly immediatly AND they didn’t have any contacts who could help them resurrecting him after. The end of C2 showed them trying the resurrection now that they were able to do it.

2. The way Molly came back (or did not came back) was completly up to Taliesin and had little to nothing to do with how he viewed death in DnD or in stories. It was all part of the concept of this character specifically.

3. All the extra rules make a resurrection harder but not impossible. Until C3 there wasn’t actually any ritual that failed. And there isn’t really any perma death for player characters. There are special cases that I personally would not say are that easy to classify. Bertrand was more of a Player-controlled NPC and Tiberius was a NPC at the point where he died. Even Vax still exists somewhere and his end was more the end of his arc and not a random death that happened during battle. And Molly could have easily returned if Taliesin didn’t already have something specific in mind.

This current situation feels a lot like C1 after a Player character died. The other party members immediatly bring their fallen friend to a cleric and they managed to save them. Of course we don’t know for sure what Laudna’s fate is but right now it is not any less likely then Percy, who had Orthax blocking the ritual but still was able to be brought back.

If Marisha had told Matt that she wants to play a new character, he wouldn’t have them travel to Whitestone right now. He had all the chance to make it permanent.

Again, yes. There is still a chance for the ritual to fail but that will be something that is played out in game. The cast likes the threat of death in their game but that doesn’t mean they don’t want that over having their characters do what they would do. During Molly’s death, M9 didn’t have any of the resources to try anything. BH has a real chance.

Thank you for the great content Dimple and for loving our Jiminie. This is not an ask. Your post just had me thinking. I'm just getting my thoughts out whether you read or not since my comment is long. There's no need to respond.

It is always great to see Jimin even if he's putting stickers on photo cards. But those of us fans that were here for the music and artistry understandably feel cheated. Jimin's album deals with heavy and sensitive issues. Our fandom is so quick to label and diagnose people. Fans have already diagnosed Jimin with an ED because of Lie and comments from past interviews. I don't think it's just a social platitude that he often has to tell us that he's eating well. JK has been diagnosed with ADHD and as neurodivergent.

We've already had the fandom kicking up dust about JK drinking in lives so talk of alcohol binges is a touchy topic. I can imagine many fans and antis weaponising his words and spinning new narratives of their own. He mentioned on Suchitwa that it's difficult to get into the details of the relationship fall outs because it's hard to discuss other people. And then obviously talk of his sexuality is out of the question. It was a missed opportunity for Jimin to truly connect with fans and showcase the wonderful work that went into the album.

But... If Jimin and the team wanted to do the live justice, there's a lot of interesting but innocuous topics he could have focused on. How he approached each song vocally because his voice is an instrument and he uses it in so many interesting ways. The choreography, why he chose the people he decided to work with, the production decisions, his journey as a lyricist's. I don't know if BTS's team like to guard certain information or trade secrets but there are so many times when you want to know more about the process or artistic choices but then they'll give us miniscule tasteless crumbs. Maybe Bighit thinks it's only the minors that have the time to tune for the content but I wish there was a way to let them know that we are interested and able to go deeper.

I agree completely with what you've said. Things have been entertaining to a certain degree and it's part of kpop culture too. But yeah, for people who follow him for his music and for what we see in him as an artist, things have been lacking. I guess what I feel is missing is substance, if you want to call it that. But then again, even revealing something innocent can be turned as a weapon so the line dividing that is so thin. You are completely right.

The topics that you mention would have great, honestly. I've talked to a few people that are interested in knowing more about his dancing/choreography. I would have loved to know more about him as a lyricist and why he went with those genres/styles for his songs. I don't understand why something like that wasn't part of the script lol But you could be right and it's part of the charm, keeping things vague...I guess?

I don't know how to let BH know that we are adults here. Does anyone know?

Well, for sure Jimin will be giving us more music and who knows, maybe we will get a better glimpse of how FACE came to be.

Hey, so here’s my lil’ mini review of EXO's 7th album Exist after listening to the whole thing twice:

Cream Soda: So, I already heard the song from watching the mv, and it's really nice! Love the harmonies, the addictive chorus ("I need all yaaa cream soda~") and overall beat. They all sound great on this one bruh--it's a great title track~

Regret It: Yessssss, I love when EXO goes full on hip-hop with their b-sides. And whenever I hear that Incominnnng! signifying Dem Jointz's producer tag, I always get hype 'cause I know there's gonna be a nice-ass beat with nice melodies intertwined~ This is like Cloud 9's sister song and I love that song too. Seriously, they all sound so pretty on this and the beat is so nice!! Gonna be on repeat for sure!! <3

Hear Me Out: So, I heard this one from the mv first ofc and I also dig this one a lot too. When I first heard it, I immediately fell in love with how smooth it is~ The chorus is once again catchy, and it's already been on repeat since it came out hehe.

Private Party: Noooo, just from the first like 5 seconds, I had to replay this 'cause I just knew this song would fuck me up lol (in the best way) TvT. I still can't believe they had KS and JI start the song à la Playboy with those hums and Yeah's and Babe's (or might've been BH instead of KS--they sound alike bruh lol). Anyways, after replaying those first 10 seconds over and over again, I actually listened to the song and got so hyped from the beat switch-up lol. This song is a cunty summer song for sure and I love it~! Felt kinda short tho but maybe I just felt like that 'cause I absolutely loved this one hehe.

Cinderella: …Somehow the vocals almost seem off compared to the beat (and like not in a good way)? The hard pounding beat for the chorus threw me off too at first so hm…after listening to this one twice I can def say I just don't care for the beginning of the song. When the 2nd chorus came around, I started vibing, then the bridge hit and I was like ehhh 'til the end of it when they did those stacked harmonies and it brought me back. And the switch-up for the beat for the last chorus was nice but yeah, half the song I don't care for while half I did dig. It's a shorter song for a reason imo and I may be biased 'cause I think it's just okay but I wish it was towards the end of the album XD.

No Makeup: Ooh, this song's really nice and smooth too~ I'm surprised they didn't put this right before or after Hear Me Out to match its vibe. Anyways, the chorus is like melting chocolate omg they sound so pretty and I looove that La-da-da-da da-da-daaa~ part! I had to replay it 'cause wow they really just sound so good together like they always have but they especially do in slower songs like this! Seriously, I really dig this~!

Love Fool: This is a nice song too, not much to say about it. Like they all have stand-out lines in it, and the beat's nice but compared to the fire tracks at the start--it's more on the good not great end for me. (Watch though, this'll prob be on heavy rotation on my playlist in like a week lol.)

Another Day: Ooh, I like this synth vibe/distorted effect on the beat! Not much to say for this one either but it's a vibe for sure and my fave parts were anytime Jongin sang (honestly, his voice was a standout in this album for me, but I'm biased lol) and Kyungsoo's adlibs that closed the song off.

Let Me In: So, once again I heard this from the mv first lol. It's a good song, and a perfect one to the end the album with imo. Only thing I didn't like in this song were the raps, like they just don't fit to me. Anyways, fave parts in this are for sure the chorus where they go "'Cause it's blue~" and that bridge <3.

And so my favs from this album in order are (and this was really hard to decide!): Private Party, Regret It, No Makeup, Hear Me Out, Cream Soda, Love Fool, Another Day, Let Me In >>>>>>>[a wall], Cinderella.

TL;DR: So yeah, this is another solid album from them for sure! It's full of their beautiful vocals and harmonies, and nice-ass raps too (besides the ones in Let Me In, sorry not sorry). I highly recommend listening to this bruh for a fun time, going from hype to body-rolling to chill vibes hehe. And I'm always looking forward to what they'll do next! <333

bloodmoon huntress review

I’ll be sharing more of my in depth thoughts on a Podcast episode (hopefully recorded tonight or tomorrow when I get the chance!), including an initial non-spoilers review section there for anyone who is waiting for their copy! But because this is a visual format and therefore I can include pictures, this one is going to be briefer but have spoilers!

So let’s dig in!

First Off, things that surprised me:

How much I love the little Skywing elf, Suroh! I was already very excited for him and while he and Rayla didn’t develop as friends as much as I thought they might, I will be definitely working him into fics and using that sweet “basically clean slate characterization wise but canonically knows & is on friendly terms with Rayla” spot like my life depends on it

That we saw Lain and Tiadrin saying goodbye to Rayla. I never thought we’d see that scene in anything, let alone that we’d be seeing them in this comic. But it was utterly heartbreaking, foreshadowed and reaffirmed so much of Through The Moon in exactly the ways I hoped.

As well as the event that likely (understandably) gave Rayla her fear of water, poor kiddo! That scene was horrifying and so well drawn, my heart went out to her (and also screamed about all the parallels, but more on that later).

I didn’t expect to see a moment where Runaan doubted being an assassin, so that was really interesting (and again, reaffirming; hi “If time is money” headcanons!) to see him have it, and how Ethari subsequently alleviated it. Which is both tender and so incredibly complicated in terms of regret and grief and just. gaah. More thoughts later

Things that Delighted Me

Ever since S1 came out I’ve thought it was likely that Rayla had little to no friends growing up, and BH proved me right, given we never see her interact or ask for help from other Moonshadow children, and her canonical best friend at this point is an adoraburr. So when I say delighted here, I really mean delighted and heartbroken in the best way.

On a similar note, sometimes I wonder if I read too much into TDP with my big ol’ analytical brain, but then stuff like this comes out, with so many scenes that paid such intentional care in the language used in terms of motifs, parallels, arc words, etc. that I know that I’m not, and it always makes me feel both warm and fuzzy inside and incredibly excited to analyze.

And it was good/funny to see that Rayla and Runaan have literally always been Like This, even if they reach their own understanding, and what drove Rayla to (wrongfully) choose the path of an assassin, even if it was understandable on both sides at the time. Also broke my heart to see Andromeda so young and that Rayla probably spent time sitting in on lessons all the time growing up when she wasn’t being trained herself :’(

Cons??

The Bloodmoon Huntress herself was deeply cool, but the layer of removal (aka she mostly went after Suroh, who while I love, we aren’t deeply attached to) made her feel a bit disconnected, like she was there to provide a conflict > than being a character. I am curious about the fact she escaped, though, and how that could tie into the future, as I was sure she’d be killed by the end (and Rayla seeing Runaan’s work come to fruition like that in a useful way).

All the Runaan/Ethari scenes were so sweet, but I was surprised we focused more on their individual bonds with Rayla > equal time regarding their own bond with each other, so I actually would’ve liked to see more! Still very pleased with all we got, especially all the casual affection and touching.

Also - and I was reading this at like 3am with very little sleep so take with a grain of salt - the pacing felt a little fast. IDK if it’s because the book took place over a seemingly shorter amount of time (a couple of weeks) even though so much was happening, or because there were quite a few scenes that all had the same message (Rayla wanting to know what Runaan does) that didn’t go anywhere for a little while, but the pacing felt a bit off. It also may be because I was expecting something like Through The Moon (5/5 stars, whereas I would give BH a 3.5 or 4/5) where the whole thing was about pacing and processing emotions, and that wasn’t as much the case here.

Conclusion

Loved it, thought it was super cute and heartwarming overall, am curious to see if we learn about the Bloodmoon huntress and her phials, and happy for the Ruthari / moon stans, y’all deserve this!

Companies only care about money >> money came from army >> most army are tkk and ynm shippers >> hence why BH is pairing them up!

If I’m being honest, I forgot about a huge chunk of all of this or didn’t find it important to mention last time. Either way, my views remain pretty much unchanged. I don’t want to keep responding to you with paragraphs but I ramble a lot so bear with me😬. I genuinely don’t think taekook, yoonmin or any other ship for that matter is specifically “pushed” by BH. Like I mentioned in the last answer, many ships get paired together, like in some of the subunits you mentioned above, so i don’t see any particular favorites being pushed by BH when I look at the content as a whole. So all ships get their time and that’s evident because all ships have their shippers. They all switch around between units at times and if I’m being honest, I don’t see Taekook very often. Maybe it’s because I get distracted by other things happening, I also have my biases when watching BTS content. And (as I mentioned in my last post) if you focus on Taekook you’ll obviously see when Taekook are paired and not when other duos are despite others being paired more often than them.

I tried to quickly think and search for times when BTS broke down into smaller groups just to see. Although this definitely isn’t everything, I think this ensemble of pictures proves what I want to bring across.

These lives show a ton of different duos and trios, some of which even repeat but i didn’t see people calling namjin or yoonjin “pushed”. Why is it different for Taekook?

Another reason it’s hard for me to jump to the “x ship is pushed” thing is because i’m not sure how things happen behind the scenes. Do the members choose or does the staff tell them who to go on live with? And if so do they choose every time or does the staff tell them every time? There are too many unknowns. The live you brought up was done with the remaining members after namgimin had a live about 2 weeks before. At that point Tae was sick so he obviously couldn’t be placed in that unit, it made sense he did it with the others when he came back to work. I don’t know how the namgimin live was decided on but the one you mentioned seems to be a by-product of that one. I’m going on a slight tangent but I’d say vminhopekook’s lives are usually of their choosing and I remember them saying in the Busan(?) one that those who aren’t there would go live with Jimin because he brought up he was visiting us once a week and he wanted guests. Although those lives didn’t happen, it proves that the guys talk and choose who wants to or should go live with who so it’s hard for me to use lives and certain other content as a proof of BH’s influence since I don’t know who’s decision it was.

For some other content, I can agree with you that BH are most likely the ones choosing subunits but that’s exactly what I see them as, SUBUNITS. They switch around these all the time as well. No one is counting how many times namjin or sope or namkook are paired up so why is it done to Taekook, Yoonmin and Jikook so often. I don't even think these ships, despite having the 3 biggest shipper fandoms are seen much in duos/trios that often. Personally, if I was BH and just wanted to drain ARMYs for money, I'd put vminkook in and on everything but they don't. I am not even trying to be a company stan or anything lol, I am just looking at it from the most realistic lens I can. So while they have certain duos and trios they like for certain content, I still don’t think it’s done with the intention to trick ARMYs who like those ships into spending money. If we're going by the "pushing for money" narrative, vmin and namjin must be the biggest money-making duos because BH loves these two pairings for ads and endorsements. I hope I’m not giving anyone any ideas for y’all to start saying namjin and vmin are being pushed now lmao— LEAVE THEM ALONE!!😭😭 Don’t get me wrong other subunits do ads too, it’s just hard to sit and compare. I don't think the reason certain members are paired for certain content is that serious— maybe it’s just about chemistry and which pairings will fit which concepts or ads well.

This is an honest question, though. Has certain duos being in promotional content made you want to buy the product more? Like they're all over Coway ads and I still don't know what Coway sells. Mattresses? water purifiers?? Ice makers?

I've bombarded you with pictures, sorry but I'm having fun lol. I'll try to wrap up quickly.

You brought up "hs concert" which I assume means Harry Styles? It's not official and I can't and won't comment because I don't know why they attended the concerts in the groups they did, both in 2021 and 2023. Seems like they had fun though. Good for them. Not sure which FESTA you're talking about but all they did was touch each other in that 2023 video so... Also Jimin was basically scenting Hobi in that video and I didn't see jihope being pushed allegations. I saw the opposite in fact. It just shows how hypocritical it is because jihope has been one of the most active duos this past year or so. Finally, yoonmin doing the show together makes sense as Jimin was ending his promotions and Yoongi was starting. I didn't expect Tae to go with Yoongi or Jk to go with Jimin as they didn't have any work to publicly promote at that time.

So, all in all, I don't think there's any hidden motives. Every ship has their time and every ship does their thing, maybe some more than others but the difference isn’t drastic enough for me to pinpoint any clear agenda to push one or two ships in particular. And most ARMYs (non-shippers & OT7 non-toxic shippers) will eat up anything because all the boys have their own unique chemistry. So I guess in a way every ship is pushed😆 and the ones that stand out to you will obviously be the ones you look out most for. I can’t begin to discuss how our biases and own perspectives affect the way the content comes across because it really does and as a shipper, it’s important to be aware of it.

The purpose of my answer (and all my posts tbh) isn’t to throw any pair under the bus or make others seem better. It shouldn’t and I hope it doesn’t come across that way. All I want to do is be a small voice of reason and hopefully show some shippers that a lot of their theories come of hypocritical when they compare some duos but not others, not that any should be compared in the first place.
