Liam has been very clear in verbal statements and looks as to who Orym checks out and finds physically attractive. In EXU prime (plus a call-back to Deni$e), that was Dariax. In C3, that has very repeatedly been Ashton (who has reciprocated in kind).

He's also been pretty clear (especially in C92) about who Orym wants as his emotional support, and despite Ashton's multiple offers, that's Dorian.

Which, if either, Orym is romantically interested in, I'm not sure. I'm not convinced Orym is ready to be romantically involved with anyone who isn't Will yet.

As for the two Genasi, I think Ashton is definitely interested in Orym. (It would not surprise me for Liam or Tal to let slip they've been FWB for awhile.) Dorian is certainly emotionally attached to Orym. I need to rewatch the second half of 92 when I'm more awake to decide more than that.

Anywho Ashton has always agreed with Orym that the ruby vanguard is bad even though he doesn’t like the gods and has frequently opened himself to Orym as a support if he needs one and idk why we’re acting like he hasn’t been on Orym’s side or vocally anti vanguard this whole time? Like yeah they’ve got low charisma and Orym may think Ashton wouldn’t be there for him for whatever reason, but I thought we as an audience knew that Ashton is 100% on Orym side.

I again think that the reason Orym isn’t reaching out to the hells (specifically fearne and Ashton) and is instead reaching out to Dorian is cause he doesn’t know if he’ll get a response and its safer that way, and if he does get a response he doesn’t need to reply for 24 hours and that gives him time to compartmentalize his thoughts into 25 words. Also cause sometimes you just need to talk to someone who isn’t around you 24/7 to not go crazy. I think it’d be so juicy if Dorian showed up and joins the hells again and suddenly Orym shells up with him as well. Cause with Dorian in it, Orym would have to be strong for him now too. And suddenly he won’t have anyone to turn to cause he has to be the strong pillar (even if Ashton tells him he’s gets that its hard and he’s allowed not to be the strong one.) And to him being the strong one means being silent and holding it in to protect those around you.

I feel like holding this all in isn’t gonna make him explode but it will make him crumble. Hell, its already making him crumble.

Edit: I just… why can’t we allow the avoidant attachment style and lack of communication with those around him to be an unhealthy thing Orym’s doing as an avoidance technique instead of saying “well actually bells hells have all been horrible to him in these specific ways so he shouldn’t talk to them they don’t deserve it”

I see why orym’s doing it! I just think people are defending it too hard instead of allowing it to be an unhealthy coping mechanism

listen so closely to me i think liliana temult is a fascinating character and she’s really fun to examine morally but also nothing will ever come fucking close catharsis-wise to watching ashton and orym fucking cross examine her ass in episode 92. the sexiest shit i’ve ever seen “your worst fear is probably my worst fear, and i think we just got a little sample (my worst fear came true because you weren’t fast enough, what will you do when it’s her head on the line?)” and “keep wrestling (you must bear the weight of their deaths on your conscience and know it will never be enough for what you took from me)” like holy SHIT you guys

Bent Not Broken

“Hey, Ashton! Can you open up the hole? Orym needs—”

“Yeah, I’m sure he fucking does.”

“Sorry… Is that a problem?” Dorian frowns but it sits weird on his face, his personality more suited to raised eyebrows or sad smiles. But Ashton supposes all of them are going through it at the moment.

“Of course not. I’m happy to make sure Orym gets whatever he needs.” They’ve already pulled the portable hole from their belt and they toss one end to Dorian to help lay it down. “Always have been.”

Dorian stands at the edge, looking at him for a long moment, then bites back whatever comment was on his tongue, plants a hand and swings down inside.

They’re happy to have Dorian back, truly. They might not have missed him as much as Orym did, and he certainly doesn’t fill the hole that F.C.G. left behind, but he fills his own space, and it’s good to see Orym’s mood improve in spite of the news that Dorian brought from their old group.

But Ashton’s been doing their fucking best. He knows he doesn’t always have the right words to improve the situation, and maybe that scares him to silence sometimes in those moments when everything seems too big for them. But they’ve tried reaching out, told Orym they see him, they’re willing to listen, help him up, help him through, with little more than half-hearted acknowledgment in response. So fuck him for wanting someone to notice that he gives a shit, Ashton supposes.
