It's Magic
This snippet is for @creweemmaeec11!
-------
Villain pressed the knife deeper into Hero's side, the blade glowing with harmful magic.
"Pathetic little thing," Villain laughed, yanking the blade out.
Hero gasped, lurching forward. They crashed down in the alleyway.
"Lesser beings like you should learn to stay out of my way," Villain said, "maybe your corpse will serve as an example."
Villain cast a spell, causing little cuts to open all over Hero's body. Hero whimpered in pain. They looked up with blurry vision as Villain strode away. Was this really how it was going to end? Killed by a magic user? Hero didn't have the energy to worry about it; they started to drift off, their head light and their limbs heavy.
----
Hero stirred to the feeling of a gentle rocking sensation.
"Mm..." they mumbled.
"Shhh," a voice soothed.
The rocking sensation stopped suddenly as Hero was laid down on a soft surface. They forced their eyes to open. They tried to sit up, but a hand gently pushed them back down.
"Don't-" the voice said softly, "don't get up. You're hurt."
Hero stared up at their rescuer. Their vision cleared, and their face went pale. Hero scuttled back on the couch.
"S-Supervillain," Hero breathed.
Hero's breaths quickened, coming out in short little gasps. Their heart felt like it was going to beat out of their chest. Supervillain held their hands up in a placating gesture.
"I'm not gonna hurt you," they said, "I promise."
Supervillain took a step closer, and Hero flinched hard, screwing their eyes shut. Instead of a harsh strike or a dark spell, Hero felt the gentle pressure of a hand on their forehead. They cracked an eye open and looked at Supervillain.
"No fever, that's good," Supervillain said.
Soft green light emanated from Supervillain's hands. Hero's breathing became deep of its own accord. Hero blinked in confusion.
"Wh-what are you doing?" Hero asked.
"It's a calming spell," Supervillain explained, "I don't want you to panic."
Supervillain gestured to Hero's shirt.
"May I?" they asked.
Hero felt themselves nodding, a forced calm settling over them. Supervillain thanked them and lifted their shirt.
"It seems to be healing well," Supervillain said, "my magic made short work of your cuts, but this stab wound was pretty bad."
"Magic?"
"Yes, my healing magic. You're lucky to be alive, if I hadn't found you... well, it doesn't matter now."
Normally the mention of magic would have Hero hyperventilating, but the calming spell was weaving its way through their mind and body, keeping them pacified.
"Let me work on your wound some more, you don't deserve a scar."
Magenta light flowed from Supervillain's hands into Hero's healing wound. The area began to feel warm and fuzzy. Hero watched as the wound faded away completely, leaving nothing but smooth, undamaged skin.
"Can I get you anything?" Supervillain asked.
"I, um..."
"How about something to eat and drink?" Supervillain offered.
Hero quickly shook their head. What if they poisoned it? Then again, Supervillain probably wouldn't go through the trouble to save them just to poison them... on the other hand, though, this was Supervillain they were talking about, and-
A floating tray of food interrupted Hero's thoughts. On the tray was a bowl of chili and a cup of water. Supervillain ushered the tray over with a finger. It settled a few inches over Hero.
"It's, uh, it's waiting for you to sit up," Supervillain said.
Hero sat up cautiously. The tray, satisfied, landed gently on Hero's lap. The spoon flew into Hero's hand. Hero yelped in surprise.
"Yes, that particular spoon is rather forward," Supervillain said apologetically, "you'll get used to it."
Hero gulped. What would happen if they didn't eat? Would Supervillain kill them in a harsher way? The spoon, growing impatient, zipped out of Hero's hand, filled itself with a helping of chili, and forced its way into their mouth.
"Mm!"
Flavors danced on Hero's tongue; the chili was absolutely delicious. The spoon left Hero's mouth and grabbed another helping of chili. It waited for Hero to swallow.
"I wouldn't poison you, if that's what you're worried about," Supervillain said, "I went through a bit of trouble to save you."
Hero swallowed hesitantly. The spoon eagerly shoved the next bite of chili into their mouth. Hero grabbed the spoon and started to feed themselves. Supervillain smiled.
"Why... why did you save me?" Hero asked.
Supervillain's smile faltered, replaced with a concerned expression.
"I couldn't just leave you there," Supervillain said.
"Yes you could've! You're Supervillain! You're the most powerful mage in the city, and I'm..."
"Yes?" Supervillain prompted.
"I fight mages! I'm your enemy!" Hero blurted.
Supervillain sighed. They waved a hand and an armchair tottered forward. Supervillain sat down, snapping their fingers. A cup of tea materialized out of thin air. Supervillain took a sip of it, then set it on the saucer, which was still floating nearby.
"Why do you fight mages?" Supervillain asked, as though Hero had come in for a therapy session.
"Because they use magic! And magic is- well, it's evil isn't it?"
"Look around you," Supervillain gestured to the room, "I've been using magic nonstop since I brought you here. Have I been using it for evil?"
Hero didn't respond.
"I've done nothing but heal you and tend to you with my powers," Supervillain continued, "what I want is for magic users and non-magic users to get along and enjoy each other's gifts. Of course, not everyone shares my sentiment, such as the mage who attacked you."
Hero shook their head, trying to rationalize Supervillain's words. Supervillain sighed again and stood. The tray floated away with the empty chili bowl. The spoon followed it back to the kitchen.
"You should get some rest," Supervillain said, summoning a blanket, which draped itself over Hero, "let me know if you need anything."
Supervillain began to leave.
"Wait!" Hero said weakly.
Supervillain turned.
"Yes?"
"Thank you, Supervillain," Hero said quietly.
Supervillain cracked a small smile.
"You're welcome..."
"Hero," Hero said, "my name is Hero."
"You're welcome, Hero."
Supervillain flicked their wrist, and the lights went out. They left the room to let Hero sleep. Hero snuggled under the blanket and closed their eyes. They were still very confused about many things, but maybe magic wasn't as evil as they had thought.

There's a disturbance.
It started on a cold October day, magic users the world over felt the fabric of the universe shudder for but a moment before a sense of peaceful ease can be felt through their magics. Even the nonmagical power users felt something; Flash noticed a dramatic decrease in his speed, Poison Ivy losing control of her plants when she's not paying attention and Shazam's DivineTwitch Chat is going wild with a hype train.
This went on for nearly a month before most power users lost their powers completely; even superman was seen less often than he normally was! A team consisting of Batman, Shazam, Constantine, Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy and Aquaman to track down the source of the depowered beings. It takes them nearly a week to get a trail but they track it down to set of large purple double doors deep in space which open as they fly the ship closer. Once inside the doors closes and the team find themselves in the entryway of a giant castle, through the window is a vast expanse of swirling green which causes Constantine to swear.
Looking around they eventually hear a mans voice sounding like hes running around with things crashing. "Come on Nora, don't- Marina, please stop crying. Emma put your brother down, Myke stop antagonizing her! Gothi come on, help me here you're supposed to be the older sister. I don't know what to do!"
The team open the door to find a tall white hair man, casual clothes that held the universe of stars within their fabric, a small blonde girl under one arm practically vibrating in place until she falls through to the ground is suddenly behind them, another girl made of plants is holding up a large square grey boy who tries escape by writhing and throwing clouds of spores at the plant girl while another girl with red hair dressed in Atlantean garb crying over a fishbowl with a bright green glob of something in it. Gothi sits nearby giggling as she looks over the team.
Batman takes a look at each child, connections forming as he looks at each one; Nora Allen as a child, holding the power of the Flash, an Atlantean of some sort given how Aquaman is studying her cloths, the plant girl looks are similar to Poison Ivy's to a degree, the grey child looks like a minature Solomon Grundy and Gothi herself makes him feel like he's come home, alfred there waiting for him always ready.
The man turns around to find Nora and sees the heroes, "Ah shit, ok I know how it looks but it's not my fault." Nora pops up in different locations, repeating the new word she just learned, "No nonono, sweetie don't repeat that." _______________________________________________________
Or Danny's the ancient of space and his very presence gives corporeal form to the forces of the DC universe; Speed Force(Nora), Marina(The Blue/Clear), Myke(The Grey), Emma(The Green) and Gothi(gotham).

Hit: 7 (1d6+4) bludgeoning damage plus 2 (1d4) psychic damage. If the target is a creature with an Intelligence score of 5 or greater, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or fall into fits of laughter and become incapacitated for 1 minute. An incapacitated creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of the each of its turns, and each time it takes damage, ending the effect on itself on a success. The target has advantage on the saving throw if it's triggered by damage. Empathic Feeding. The gray jester chooses up to three creatures within 30 feet of it with an Intelligence score of 5 or higher. Each of those creatures must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or take 7 (2d6) psychic damage. A creature reduced to 0 hit points by this effect is transformed into a bleak one under the gray jester's control, then that bleak one regains 10 hit points. A bleak one has the same statistics as the creature, except its Intelligence and Charisma are 1, and it is immune to psychic damage. A bleak one can be restored to the creature it was transformed from with a remove curse spell. The gray jester can have no more than twelve bleak ones under its control at one time.
These otherworldly fey feed on joy and laughter, though not to bring happiness to themselves, merely to feed an insatiable need to drain it from others. They prefer to target children, but any humanoids will do. They are always equipped with their scepter, and pearly white broken teeth shine from behind their lipless grin. They are almost entirely devoid of color. They will use their bleak ones (usually commoner or thug stat block) as bodyguards. Gray jesters stand around 6 feet tall and weigh around 110 lbs.

Why is it a cosmic problem that the Asgardian bloodline will end with Thor? Asgard is no more - what we have is a nonmagical place on Earth where Asgardians live. When Asgard doesn't exist, who cares that there will be no heirs. The current ruler is someone to whom King Thor just gave the rulership. That's how every ruler will be made now - anyone the current ruler gives it to. Or maybe they start holding elections. Make it democratic.
They don't need heirs now. And Thor will die alone in a ditch. It doesn't matter anymore. Taika has made it so that everything in Thor's world is insignificant now. But this is a happy ending.
I... genuinely can't entirely tell if you're being sarcastic, nonny, or if this is a genuine question that perhaps I may be misreading... (and if I have, do feel free to send a follow up and correct me)
but there's quite a many problem with the royal bloodline ending with Thor from an in-universe standpoint, just as well as the trajectory of Asgard's fate from Ragnarok and Endgame onward is an insult to the worldbuilding of Earth-199999's Asgard and the Nine Realms.
There's a couple of different ways you could slice my statement and I would still argue that what I've said can be seen as true. But I'll go through the wide range of elements in your ask to best illustrate the broader strokes of my point.
but TL;DR:
Ultimately you answered your own question, and that's the best way to boil down the travesty of it all:
Q: Why is it a cosmic problem that the Asgardian bloodline will end with Thor? A: Taika has made it so that everything in Thor's world is insignificant now.
Not only this, but Thor is the lastoline of the royal family. Before which, there only existed himself, and his father, Odin. He is the last of a subspecies of alien on par with other massively powerful aliens like Titans and I would wager, potentially even more mortal Celestials like Ego. He's a being who can generate storms just because he's miffed. Once Thor is dead and gone, there will NEVER be an Asgardian who is more than just your usual 'super-strength, super-speed, super-endurance' humanoid looking alien. There will NEVER be an Asgardian with the ability to summons storms and have lightning flow through his veins.
Hela had dominion over life and death, Thor is effectively a living, breathing, walking, talking tempest, Odin can be inferred to have some kind of 'order' seeking affinity. Who knows about MCU Bor and Buri. They are INCREDIBLY ancient, and powerful beings. If MCU Asgardians are to MCU humans what D&D elves are to D&D humans, then Thor is to Asgardians what an eladrin elf is to normal elves.
And we are watching – have already watched, even, — that incredibly powerful, incredible RARE sub-species of asgardian effectively be driven to extinction.
Just think about that for a second.
(the rest has been put under a cut because this answer got long, and for that I apologize ... mostly.)
Asgard is no more - what we have is a nonmagical place on Earth where Asgardians live.
Yes. This. This is quite actually the crux of the problem of this choice. The most beautiful and compelling aspect of the MCU in Phase 1 in particular is the prospect of an alternative universe out there where, to quote Jane Foster, "magic is just science that hasn't been explained yet". A world where superheroes truly can exist and aren't cartoonishly corny as superhoes used to be depicted... I'll say pre!Raimi Spider-Man era. (Though.. the Goblin's costume is still pretty goofy.)
What made Thor stand out as an individual hero within the Avengers (both the team, and the 2012 feature), and what made him so compelling to quite a many fans new, old, or casual, was that Thor is magical. He comes from a place where magic and science are the same thing. His whole world is ethereal and timeless, it's vast and expansive, and because it's inspired by real world norse mythology — of which is itself a rich and fascinating study in and of itself — there are a thousand different directions he could be taken.
I may be speaking partly for myself, but he also further ropes in a fantasy-centric audience such as myself who largely enjoy high-fantasy, medieval inspirations, tales of chivalry, hope, love, adventure, magic, timeless knights and princes — Dark World in particular has him acting quite a bit like your typical idea of a chivalrious, regal, stately prince or honorable knight who is virtuous and kind, and who protects those who can't protect themselves.
And that's just a single aspect of what made him so unique. What made him so unbelievably lovely. Thor is lovely, and Thor is magical. His family, friends, world, and people are magical.
But as of RAGNAROK, the realm he hails from was destroyed before our eyes before we got to truly know anything about it.
As of ENDGAME and LOVE AND THUNDER, the people and culture of asgard that remain has been so watered down that they dared to make New Asgard a tourist attraction in some rinky-dink nowhere backwater coastal town no different than Puente Antiguo, New Mexico where Thor first crash-landed in the first film.
Asgard used to be on par with, if not even more intriguing and full of mystery, than Wakanda, the earthen monarchy. Now it's a tourist trap that ... for some reason has "infinity gauntlet" ice cream in the heart of the town of a people devastated by Thanos twice.
The current ruler is someone to whom King Thor just gave the rulership. That's how every ruler will be made now [...] They don't need heirs now.
Potentially unpopular opinion (?) but I have so many issues with the decision to give Lady Valkyrie Thor's birthright that it could take an entire 10 paragraph essay for me to fully delve into all of the issues.
In short:
To say Valkyrie had a character beyond "traumatized alcoholic with a chip on her shoulder" is ... generous at best. That's not a diss, that is entirely factual. I could not tell you what her Want vs. Need is, or her character goal, or her motivations, or why she bothered to suddenly help Thor (re: lack of motivations) because she never took any action with any real agency in RAGNAROK that wasn't spurred on by Loki. ....Off screen.
I also don't think that the woman who had spent over 1,500 years MINIMUM running away from her home and her people, festering bitterness, spite and hatred towards the royal line, and who never actually respected Thor in the first place because of who his father is should have been honored the title of King. She did not deserve that. Both in general, and as a character who frankly just did not get enough screentime to really be SHOWN caring for her people, atoning for her absence and otherwise supporting, caring for, and working alongside Thor. Had she actually been shown doing any of the above in a substantial amount of screentime, perhaps then I might have felt differently, as if she earned the position more than Thor who has spent 2 solo movies (not counting RAGNAROK) earning his place as a future leader. This is likewise not entirely counting his O.S. actions of maintaining peace under his authority between Avengers and Dark World, and his personal search for the Infinity Stones post!Age of Ultron.
Valkyrie is powerful, yes, but she is ultimately still NOT an Asgardian Royal. And to your point about "this is how every ruler will be made now" — Heimdal aside, NO OTHER ASGARDIANS have special powers. It is EXCLUSIVE to Odin's bloodline. (Frigga is a practicing witch and these are two incredibly different things, since Loki was taught his magic, not born with it.) This is a GLARING worldbuilding issue further highlighted down below, but the tl;dr of it is: the only reason why Earth has been largely untouched and the Nine Realms kept safe in isolation despite the constant going-ons of the other galaxies in the universe is BECAUSE of the royal line. Odin isn't kidding around when he says he (and his bloodline) are protectors of the Nine Realms. Valkyrie is most certainly able to try, but at the end of the day she's NEVER going to be able to get through very many galactic battles without ultimately calling on Thor for assistance at the end of the day. And when her time is up? Or when Thor is finally dead and gone? There goes your ace in the hole.
But more than that, thinking about it semi-realistically from a worldbuilding perspective:
It's quite literally a cosmic problem in that there is now a galactic power imbalance. MCU!Thor comes from a version of Marvel's world where the there aren't literal gods, but there are aliens. Tons of aliens. All with varying powers and proportions and what-have-you-not. More specifically: power humanoid aliens from a realm called Asgard, that in Earth-199999 inspired the entirety of the Norse mythos of the viking age.
These aliens, governed by the ruling monarch of the realm eternal, also govern over 8 additional realms— which for all we know could range from a territory that is a singular planet (vanaheim, asgard), to potentially an entire solar system (earth and its solar system). BOTH options nine times over marks an absolutely incredible empire for a singular species of alien to claim complete control and territory over.
But they were not only able to obtain this territory but continue to safeguard it under Asgardian protection because the royal family is gifted incredible power (Thor, for instance, can change the atmosphere out of sheer mindless emotion not to mention conscious thought), and have secured and/or subdued multiple infinity stones throughout the millenia (the aether/reality stone, the tesseract/mind stone, thor has also personally endured a power stone directly to the temple, for instance), and have maintained peace for a MINIMUM of a thousand years beneath Odin's reign as All-Father, Protector of the Nine Realms.
So, if the royal family governs its own pocket dimension planet, AND maintains peace and prosperity by personally safeguarding the territories itself and of eight additional realms, all with a variety of other alien species, ecosystems, solar systems, galactic quadrants, etc. ...Who are also KNOWN to be fierce and proud warriors who have likewise safeguarded ancient and powerful alien relics the likes of the tesseract/mind stone for hundreds if not thousands of years — and you take this long-lived warrior race out of their own equation...?
We're talking potential outbreaks of a new age of war the likes of those talked about in Thor (2011), in-fighting amongst the Nine Realms, invasions from outside realms of conquesting species, so on and so forth. Without Asgard and specifically a Royal Asgardian at the seat of power to maintain the balance of what has been built, (and i specify a ROYAL asgardian, aka Thor's line, because his bloodline is the only asgardian bloodline with the raw power to maintain and preserve everything long-term), well, you've effectively started a cosmic power vacuum — even if the MCU likely will never bother to explore the consequences of it.
Slight sidebar (albeit still mostly related), but:
Quite frankly one of the funniest aspects of Thor's relationships with Nick Fury and the humans that are equally as worked up about aliens existing, pointing their fingers at Thor as an example of their right to be wary (and eventually Loki and the Chutari, though those are more earned) is that they are effectively minimum-wage fast-food employees bad-mouthing he who is essentially the up-and-coming Chairman of the metaphorical "Yggdrasil's Nine Realms Fast Food Chain" without realizing who he actually is.
(Which, viewing through that lens makes the Avengers Nick Fury scene and the Tony Stark Age of Ultron scene even more hilarious despite the eventual coming of Thanos, because Thor, bless him, doesn't take ...much... offense to it until the bad-blood becomes over-bloated and geared towards the violent. RE: "My people want nothing but peace with your planet." / "Your work with the tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is a signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war.")
For all of the drama of MCU Phases 1-3, realistically speaking, Midgard is low enough on the hierarchy of Asgard's protected territories that not only would it not be targeted first by Asgard's enemies (or other conquesting alien species), but even if it WAS to be targeted, or if Asgard was in its own fit of warfare ... Earth wouldn't even know it in the first place because THAT is how good at their jobs the Asgardians are. Earth, despite being SURROUNDED by alien activity and having even been in possession of multiple infinity stones at a time throughout history, not ONCE realized that (other) aliens existed out there... during the entirety of the 1,000-some years of peace that Odin so often talked about.

Herbalist (Pathfinder Second Edition Archetype)
Tumblr media
(art by ivonadenovic on DeviantArt)
When we look at Second Edition archetypes, we go in knowing that same-name syndrome is going to come up, and that it’s not necessarily a bad thing, since it’s a new edition and while things may be a bit different, these 2e options are essentially the inheritors of their 1e counterparts. Usually.
That’s not super the case here, though, as well the 2e herbalist has the same thematic roots, there’s no connection to leshies here.
Indeed, this archetype seems more to be about the more general applications of herbalism, bringing to mind other horticulture-focused archetypes rather than it’s 1e namesake, with perhaps a smattering of having a way to bring the herb-gathering themes from Ultimate Wilderness into 2e.
Additionally, despite being free for any class to take, herbalists maintain some of their old alchemist feel in their mechanics.
In any case, this archetype promises some lovely answers for nonmagical healing, curatives, and even buffing!
(Also note that this archetype got an additional feat from the Knights of Lastwall book)
The dedication to the path of the herbalist grants the ability to procure daily ingredients like an alchemist, but only to make healing tonics and various herbal concoctions.
The herbs in their arsenal are always the freshest available, letting them use natural medicine with greater effectiveness at the cost of some of their daily prepared batches.
Those from Lastwall often learn how to make especially potent brews of Lastwall Soup, making it easier for others to hide from the undead.
Some also learn to prepare their medicines as poultices, no longer requiring others to consume them to apply the effects, but also helping to seal bleeding wounds and smother other forms of persistent harm in addition to the normal effects.
Many also learn how to bring out the best in local herbs and plants, adding a small bonus effect to them, usually tied to whatever dangers lie in that biome, such as resistance to extreme cold in the artic, or greater agility and balance in mountainous terrain.
Normally these herbalists learn only the basics of finding and preparing these medicines, but some learn to break that limit and grow in skill, even adding higher-level healing elixers to their arsenal.
This is a simple archetype, but one that can provide many benefits to those seeking to help allies resist and overcome negative effects without magic in a fun, thematic way. The final feat granting actual higher crafting levels is super important if you want to do more than just dip into the archetype, but even if you go with the minimum you’ll never know when an elixir will com in handy. Thematically speaking, try pairing this with alchemist, ranger, druid, or witch. However, it can be quite useful for any class and build where you want a small supportive edge.
With the concept of the herbalist comes a lot of assumptions, such as the character being wise, kind, empathetic, and having a gentle bedside manner. You can lean into this or go the opposite direction. Heck, perhaps the character is only the “team mom” reluctantly because these idiots of a party can’t take care of themselves? It can certainly be a lot of fun to explore or subvert.
The herbalist Keysha Everbloom once claimed that her aloe vera extract could soothe even the eternal burning of the undead known as combusted. An exaggeration to be sure, but a dreadfully ironic one as one such creature has trapped her on the second floor of her home. While the walls are stone, her many plants are not so impervious to fire, threatening to choke her with the smoke… unless a party of heroes just happens to be on their way to visit her.
The ways of the Great Healer, god of medicine, teach that a person’s true value lies in their ability to provide comfort and aid to others. So then is Kovas of Rathaam dually blessed, the redeemer champion also having a knack for medicinal healing in addition to their divine healing touch. However, they have gone missing, and the path to find them again will take the heroes into the sewers, where their calling has led them to an ysoki warren.
Though shunned by other cultures, the goblins of Valdheim are surprisingly skilled at herbal medicine, having come to rely on it when they rejected the old goblin gods. Those seeking such herbcraft can learn a lot from them if they will only listen.

Inhumans x Class 1: Hm. Honestly, at this point, UA is basically the 'nonhuman hero school', considering this combo makes the literal entire hero track non-humans.
Also, some species ideas for 1-B students in this combo:
Greek Automaton Tetsutetsu (which would mean he's actually always made of metal.)
Wizard Shishida (based off of a previous ask in the Inhumans tag; everyone thought he was a Sasquatch or a werewolf or something, which confounds him greatly after the reveal; he's just that hairy.)
Alien Setsuna (specifically, she's sort of a Dead Space Necromorph style being, because there's this one boss in the games who looks like a normal guy, but turns out to be a bunch of Necromorphs working together to look like one.)
Despite this not being an Others combo, Other Fukidashi (solely because i believe it would be funny)
Yeah it is a bit weird that there aren't any nonmagical human Heroes.
I mean, I did establish that any living thing native to Earth could have a Quirk, so Shishida being a wizard in addition to his Quirk is not that odd.
Someone did actually ask me about this awhile back but I did not have the energy for another round of 20 inhumans. You knocking a few off the list does help though, so let's see...
Awase: Alchemist
Kaibara: Vampire
Kamakiri: Praying Mantis with a Quirk.
Kuroiro: Living shadow
Kendo: Succubus
Kodai: A living doll. She's used her Quirk/magic on herself to be human sized
Komori: Some kind of Fae
Shiozaki: Dryad
Shishida: Wizard
Shoda: Merman with a Quirk
Tsunotori: Some kind of Satyr
Tsuburaba: A Wind Spirit
Tetsutetsu: Automaton
Tokage: Alien, though I'm not all that fond of zombie stuff, so we'll have her be a more traditional alien. More specifically she's actually a reptilian species with her body control being a thing her species can do. She's using alien tech to hide the fact that she doesn't look human, but calls her 'Quirk' Lizard Tail Splitter as a joke.
Fukidashi: An Other
Honenuki: Necromancer. His Softening is a creative use of a technique meant to get bodies out of the ground
Bondo: Homunculus
Monoma: Mimic. We joked about it too much. This would also give him a way to 'copy' 'Quirks' before the reveal happens.
Yanagi: On one hand, her being a poltergeist is a low-haging fruit. On the other, I kind of dig it.
Rin: Half-Dragon.

WHO ARE THOSE BEAUTIES (ocs <3)
They're mah babies!!!! the story they're all a part of is set in a fantasy realm where fairies, humans (magical and nonmagical), ents, mermaids, and elves all kinda vibe in their own territories
Tumblr media
here we have (left to right): alex and jackson, they are childhood bffs
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here they are again :)
jackson is a nonmagical human, son of a famous hero of the land, and is the general of their country's army (as much as he just wants to have a tiny house and a garden away from everyone), he's also aroace :)
alex has fae ancestry and is the head doctor of their country's army, i don't have much about her figured out tho other than her personality, she's also older than jackson
Tumblr media
and this is edward, he's a middle-aged doctor who found himself suddenly to be the dad of the group, he's a nonmagical human and he has the funniest reactions to all the fantasy stuff around him because he's OUR kind of human, he's not from the world this story takes place in, he needs sleep, and he met the main group because- *exploded by the no spoilers gun*
edward offered his services as a trained army medic but also respects that alex is the boss of the medicine department and he's also just happy to be away from certain people
Tumblr media
this is arden <3 he's the strongest mage of the land, he has more fae ancestry than alex so he has way more magic but he's also part human born with magic so it's like a cocktail of power that he has, he fucked up his eyes and has a bunch of scars from- *LORE* -and he's jackson uncle :)
Tumblr media
this is ava <33 he's a god (of want, desire, etc. NOT greed, that's a common misconception) and the only god to want to be directly involved with mortals so he lives among them, they've got a village that they run but they left that to join the group because he met edward (and also because edward almost died and needed help-)
spoiler alert: edward and ava end up together, it's very one-sided rivals to friends to lovers and i love them so much <3
Tumblr media
and finally this is artur
he's a fascist asshole and edward's ex-fiancee, he's also the main antagonist of the story
we don't like artur but his design is fun so he got a picrew
BONUS: notebook doodle of edward confronting his ex <3

Whatcha trying to write?
the current thing on the mind is like, something with a contrast between legend and reality
a preacher from the church of order telling stories of the great hero Rosalie the Dawnflower, a holy knight who forged many campaigns and gave great speeches in service of Iuris, the god of order
and Rosalie is watching this but she isn’t actually much of a knight or an orator she’s just a figurehead and also basically a living weapon. she doesn’t even speak usually and has never even wielded a nonmagical weapon but she has been put on a pedestal nonetheless and in doing so has gone from a person to an idea
so she’s just like. hm. don’t like this. but it’s not like she can say anything about it because she is forever pledged to the church and she has been told that if she goes against that then it will ruin her endeavors and damage the people’s faith and then she’ll get in a lot of trouble so she has to sit by and accept it
idk. I like the concept of contrasting between reality and ideals and also rosalie is a character that’s been in my head a lot lately. funny little holy weapon gal who has so many problems

These are all brand new characters that didn’t come from a book but from J.K. Rowling’s screenplay. Did you get to talk with Rowling for additional research?
In rehearsal, she gave me a nice hint. She said, “I love what you’re doing. Keep doing what you’re doing,” and, “I love Jacob’s character.” I was like, “Do tell.” And she said, “He reminds me of Ron.” That’s great because Ron, he gets to do everything. He gets to be the clown and the hero and he gets the girl. This is going to be fun.
Whenever [Rowling] came on set, she would give us little hints about our futures, so that instills you with confidence that she is formulating a repertoire for you. She told me where this character’s going, and man, it’s an incredible transformation.
He’s also the only nonmagic person out of the whole main cast. Why do you think that makes him special?
I think it’s incredible. He’s back from [World War I] and somehow, he’s been able to maintain a philosophy of compassion and kindness, and he’s running into the fray with these wizards, and he doesn’t have a wand. This guy’s really brave. I think those qualities make him a quite magical person even if he doesn’t know how to wield magic.

Boreas is a powerful elemental spirit of wind and ice who dwells in the northernmost reaches of the world. With no physical body of his own, he manifests an avatar to rule his land and spread his edicts. Wild and gaunt, his hair and beard long and crusted in ice, with eyes so blue they seem to glow, he is temperamental and destructive without restraint.
Also known by his subjects as the Devourer, he is served by frost giants, elemental spirits, and fey beings of the cold. He consorts with the lords of the giants to plot the downfall of smaller mortals, and courts powerful beings of cold and ice to be his wife, including the queen of the frost giants and the faerie queen of witches. His plans and courtships are often interrupted by intense bouts of fury however, as his own daughter seeks to sabotage his goals by encouraging mortal heroes to provoke his rage by stealing treasure or rustle his winter wolves. This rage often leads to the deaths of the provokers, but to his daughter's eyes that is better than the much wider scale destruction that would occur if her father wasn't distracted.
Pathfinder
Boreas rules over a portion of the Crown of the World, his followers occasionally descending to the south to harass the lands to the south of him. Northern Avistan and Tian Xia have dealt with the Devourer's rages before, though rarely does descend too deeply before the comparatively warm weather saps his anger and he returns to his frozen home to brood off the rest of his fury.
13th Age
While Boreas' realm sits well beyond the boundaries of the Dragon Empire, this distant being is an Icon of far off lands, and his influence may occasionally extend into the empire during his rages. Heroes seeking to travel far to the north may find an entire new collection of Icons to contend with, their connections to the icons of the empire having less sway and influence.
Inspired by the Tome of Beasts 1. This post came out a week ago on my Patreon. If you want to get access to all my monster conversions early, as well as access to my premade adventures and other material I’m working on, consider backing me there!

So, yeah, here’s a bunch of stuff about my FGO Master, Komadori Fujimaru!
I know a lot of people go Full OC with their mastersona, but I really, really like Gudako’s design, so I stick with that but made her my own! Very very much my own.
Featuring her with her best bud Cu and her shiny asshole boyfriend Gil, and her usual mission team. (Yes it’s unbalanced AF no I don’t care about the meta.)
If you can’t read Komadori’s bio, it’s as follows (with her major relationships!); see readmore~
Komadori Fujimaru, age 22 (as of 2015), college grad -- anthropology major -- and part time librarian who rolled on into Chaldea to avoid the crippling existential ennui and depression brought on by losing her brother Ritsuka (yes, ‘Gudao’) when they were kids traumatically and her horrible neglectful parents. Before Chaldea, she was deeply lonely and just going through the motions save for her one true passion -- history/anthropology, which she loved since she was a child; myths and legends and the heroes within had been basically her only friends for most of her life. So, in Chaldea, this is basically her dream come true, she adores it there, it’s the best thing to ever happen to her, she’s genuinely happy and surrounded by friends for the first time since Ricchan died.
She’s an absolute troll chaos gremlin loud sarcastic force of nature, she is, she does not take shit, she isn’t afraid of you, and she will do stupid shit for the lols. Like, all of the troll/silly/jokey dialogue options? Her. She’s just full of life and cheer and joy and love for all of this period, and it means the world to her that she’s not pretending anymore. She is living her best life. She is also a huge, huge nerd, and will make pop culture jokes.
Unfortunately she also has PTSD from losing her brother how she did -- he saved her from a car accident at the cost of his life -- so, she uh. Does not handle heroic sacrifices or similar very well. At all. This proves very fun for her! (Not.)
Being told ‘welcome home’ (okaeri, more or less) means a lot to her too due to her previous loneliness, and it WILL make her cry.
She is -- in universe anyway -- a pro at summoning to abnormal levels, and most Servants she summons remember the Singularities/Lostbelts even when they’re technically not supposed to. No one is sure why, especially since she’s totally average a mage otherwise. She’s just completely a prodigy when i comes to specifically he handling of Heroic Spirits.
( This is because, unbeknownst to her or anyone else because the initial medical exam missed it and then Chaldea blew up so the equipment just wasn’t available for them to figure it out, she’s a homunculus. She and her brother were created by British mages and their cores were attuned to Alaya and Gaia respectively; they were inactive, though, so they were shipped off to a nonmage ally family, the Fujimarus, for observation. But once Ritsuka died, the whole project was axed because what use is one without the other? Her core, however, activated when she hit Chaldea, so she is absolutely just a slowly-awakening conduit for Alaya and the Throne of Heroes. As for Ritsuka...well, his story might not be as over as it seems. He’s a conduit for Gaia, after all. )
As for relationships...
She fell very hard for Roman by the end of the Grand Order, and was thusly devastated at the Temple, especially because she never got to tell him. This ‘Chaldean’ guy in the Lostbelts is both a spot of hope and ENDLESSLY GODDAMN FRUSTRATING, WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU.
She also fell extremely hard for Gilgamesh -- of ALL people, she’s aware her taste is questionable but she’d loved the Epic before Chaldea shut up -- during Babylonia, and she basically spent the whole time sassing/flirting with him. She at first thought he was gorgeous but an insufferable prick, but warmed to him and by the end she had fallen very hard and basically almost cried into the summoning circle after Temple for him to come home. Lucky for her, her very vibrant personality and the way she both respects him and takes ABSOLUTELY NONE of his shit made the affection reciprocal. They’re awful, they sass each other constantly, get a room you losers. She wears his Valentine’s present bracelet all the time.
Her 100% top best friends are Robin, Cu, and Merlin.
Merlin and her are terrible gossipy trolls who sip tea together and talk shit, and bond over missing Roman if/when they get stupid drunk. She adores this absolute shithead wizard man. She WILL roast him constantly, with affection.
Robin she befriended in America and they got a lot closer when he brought him to Babylonia with her; they have a pretty close friendship -- her name, Komadori, means ‘robin’, so she was fond of him as a folk hero before Chaldea, and she was delighted to meet him. They’re bird buddies! Their relationship is basically him going WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS while she does dumb shit, but with fond exasperation. Someone has to carry her out of stupid situations, after all!
Cu was always one of her all time favorite legends, and she summoned him literally right after Singularity F; however, they didn’t bond until America. Because yes, they had the horrible luck of Cu going to America with her. The, uh, repeated slam dunks into Cu’s repressed trauma buttons made Komadori super protective, and at this point they are absolutely ride or die for each other. He’s the first person she goes to if she needs support or to talk or vent.
Drake is...well, they got drunk and probably had sex the first time they met in Okeanos? They’re basically drinking buddy besties with benefits. Komadori absolutely adores the woman, what a great friend.
Komadori ended up with a huge, huge, huge crush on Musashi, and considers her her best girlfriend, and Musashi feels the same, they’re ridiculous chaos gremlin gals, Shimousa was a ride, Vegas was a ride, best galpals ever. Olympus Sucked.
Emiya was one of the other first Servants Komadori called after Fuyuki, and at this point he’s her tired sarcastic protagonist brother-from-another-mother, they’re both full of sass and doneness and snark and Really Exasperated 20-Somethings. They have a bit of a clash over Komadori’s relationship with Gil, given Emiya remembers UBW and is wary of him, but they mostly agree to disagree on that and get on well otherwise.
Mash is Komadori’s baby sister, she imprinted on her as a sort of...”I failed my baby brother but I’ll protect her now” thing. She absolutely would kill and die for Mash, her baby sister. Baby. Protecc. Baby.
Honorable mentions for Servants Komadori’s really close to are: Dantes, Mordred, Ushiwakamaru, Osakabe, Mandricardo, Jeanne Alter, Jinako, Sanson, and obviously Enkidu (they double team Gil it’s hilarious). Moriarty is her Evil Ojiisan and she loves him too.
Oberon-Vortigern is TBA, along with Castoria; I am 90% blind for LB6 so will decide her relationship to them along the way, but tentatively Castoria is Little Sister #2 and ObeVorti is gonna either be a bestie or she’s going to fall hard.

My Master Fic List
Wolfstar- Complete
Teenage Kicks '78-79
My Favorite. My Wolfstar Baby.
I originally started writing this in 2014. It won lots of fun FanFiction awards for the characterisations, and will always be special to me. It's also full of smut, so tread carefully!
It opens on the train ride home from Hogwarts after 7th year, with Sirius finally telling Remus how he feels. Then follows their new relationship through their first year out of school. War and werewolves and FEELINGS
'It's like this,' Sirius told his refection in the toilet mirror sternly, as the floor rattled beneath his feet. He just needed to nut up and tell Remus, because if he didn't, Sirius might go insane and die. Or, less dramatically, and more likely, mope about his flat eating chips and scowling for the foreseeable future.
There are also a whole lot of little Remus POVs to go with it- best read after the main event. Black Pudding Arithmancy The Exam and then this one which is a bit of a spoiler for a plot point in Teenage Kicks so definitely read it last! Ancient Runes
Wolfstar WIPs
Nobody's Hero 76k words
A 5th year story involving all the expected moments of that year, with a little side plot of war. Marauders up to no good, and Wolfstar falling in love... of course.
Sirius was grinning in delight, eyes sparkling as he whooped and clapped. Then he turned to include Remus in his excitement, the wind whipping his hair, exultant happiness radiating from him.
Remus forced a smile back. He was doomed.
Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings 121k words COMPLETE
I really didn't think I'd ever write this story!
A modern RockBand, NonMagic AU, set in Sheffield UK in the early 2010s. Sirius is the upper-class heir who's thrown it all in to be in a band and volunteer at the RSPCA, and Remus is a council estate, slightly rough around the edges, University student studying classical composing.
It was a coincidence perhaps, that Sirius had been thinking about optimism and romance as they unpacked the van earlier, because something was about to happen that would impact both of these things rather heavily for him. The something being an abrupt, England football jersey wearing, floppy haired barman.
He’d never have thought in a million years that this moment in his life would occur here, in this aesthetically offensive northern pub. The glaring strip lighting and fat old blokes with missing teeth, not to mention the group of kids in tracksuits at the pool tables who could only have been about sixteen, were as far from the setting of life changing moments as it was possible to be.
Unless being clobbered with a pool cue was considered life changing, because that seemed like a much more likely outcome.
But there, stood behind the bar, passing a rum and coke to a permed old bird with a half smoked, but unlit fag hanging from her lip, was the most beautiful chap Sirius had ever seen.
 Drarry - complete
The Printed Press 120k words
Five years after the end of the war the press have turned on Harry, and Draco is the one person might be able to help him get his life back.
Draco has worked hard to gain a reputation as an unbiased reporter for the Prophet.
He never imagined this would lead to Harry Potter offering him a job, or how much accepting said job would change his life.
I've had an idea," Harry said, "You were there that night, at Greengrass Moor, when I …" he trailed off looking embarrassed.
"When you told everyone they ought to be fucking grateful and leave you the hell alone? Yes, it's one of my fondest memories." Draco wasn't trying to annoy, it was true, and the image of Potter swearing at Draco's idiot, fame-whore of a boss was something that never failed to make him smile.
Harry flushed, "I didn't mean it, not in the way it came out, and certainly I didn't mean to shout it at the editor of the Prophet."
The White Pawn 80k words
Time Travel Drarry.
When eighteen-year-old Draco Malfoy finds himself back at Hogwarts on the eve of Voldemort's infamous return, he is confronted with the most difficult decision he's ever had to make: Relive the 6th year at school he's tried so hard to forget, or do the unthinkable and ally himself with Potter's lot...

Subclass: Carian Knight (Ranger): *The enchanted knights, anointed by the Lunar Queen, were heroes of the highest honors, but fell into disarray with the decline of the royal family. You strike the perfect balance between lethal precision and magical talent*
Starting when you choose this subclass at 3rd level you gain a Pact Weapon. You are proficient with it while you wield it. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Starting at 6th level your pact weapon can now be used as an arcane focus and you can cast the Spell Scholars Armament (1st Level Enchantment Smite dealing Force Damage) once per short or long rest for free.
Starting at 10th level you can no longer be put to sleep, are immune to fear, frenzy, and have advantage on saving throws against hostile spells that target you. You may cast any one Carian Sorcery you know for free once per long rest (this may not be cast at a higher level). (You may replace normal spells learned with Carian magic, list to come later)

Idrisse Synodair
Tumblr media
☾ - At a Glance - ☽
★ Gender - Nonbinary (they/them) ★ Orientation - Pansexual, polyamorous ★ Age - 22 ★ Birthday - Lostwil (19 Sep) ★ Occupation - Runeweaver ★ Species - Human, demigod
★ MBTI - ESTP ★ Archetype - The Hero ★ Alignment - Chaotic Good ★ Role - Protagonist
★ Appearance / Aesthetics A short person, no taller than 5’ 3’’, with dark brown skin and curly black hair that is worn in shoulder-length locs, usually bound with metallic cuffs. Idrisse's eyes are dark brown and they have an adorable smile. Beneath their shirt, they always wear a pendant shaped like a lock. Aesthetic-wise, Idrisse likes to wear comfortable, androgynous attire and looks best in oranges and teals.
Tumblr media
☾ - Character - ☽
★ Personality A generally upbeat person who is prone to talking to themself and cutting off their own sentences. Outgoing, persistent, adventurous, and outspoken. Idrisse overworks themself a good amount and doesn't always know when to stop, but this trait does tend to lead to a deep level of richness in their work. They can be a little nosy and get fired up easily, though it's all fueled by curiosity and passion. Loyal to the bitter end. Willing to take risks, inquisitive, and highly observant/resourceful.
Idrisse fears failure and a lack of true human connection; wonders if they'll be an outcast forever. They're not physically strong, but it all lies in the mind. They're also good at planning, but not great at sticking to it. However, they have a knack for thinking quickly on their feet, so it all balances out. Honestly, Idrisse is quite adorable and isn't the worst at getting people to like them. They enjoy storytelling, especially hearing from other people. Sometimes, they are a bit of a "talk all the time, but never says anything" type and will answer questions they don't appreciate with other questions.
Idrisse reads a lot of adventure books and has always dreamed of going gallivanting across the world some day. Little do they know...
★ Magic Time-based Mind and Eye magic. It might have been stronger than the average user’s, but Ombrath’s rune to suppress it makes it painful and not as powerful in the beginning. (When their magic first activates, the rune that Ombrath placed on them is revealed carved into their skin and burns whenever they try to use their powers until they can use time turning to get rid of it and simultaneously connect to Ombrath/process some bad memories).
Idrisse’s powers include memory-walking, accessing imprints of magic upon objects, stopping or stretching a moment, or weaponizing certain facets of time, like aging or being trapped in the same moment over and over. Limits to their magic include the possibility of stretching a moment out too long and tearing themself apart or becoming trapped in someone’s worst memories.
Their Lume is a fluffy cave-dwelling creature named Thala, and their screbe is made of metal and crystal.
Tumblr media
☾ - Life and Details - ☽
★ History Idrisse is the reincarnation of Ephoen, the child of Ombrath. They were born on Lostwil, a day that only happens once every 4 years and the time when the walls between worlds are thinnest. On this day, Ombrath was able to reach out her consciousness from inside her cage and place a godly rune on them, which hid their magic and identity, even from themself. This was to protect them from Nulgol, whom Ombrath knew would want to eliminate them as soon as they appeared. They grew up believing they were entirely nonmagical as a result, but Nulgol was never able to find them.
Idrisse was raised in an orphanage, never knowing who their parents were and only that they had been found in the woods as a baby by a hunter who happened to by in the area. Being nonmagical, they were unable to find adoption because prospective parents were only looking for children with powers like themselves or who could elevate their families. Idrisse had only one other friend like themself here--Lozali Eruma. They were fast friends, but the fiery Lozali disappeared into the darkness one night and Idrisse never saw her again. (She had gone to join organized crime.) When they were a teenager, they moved out on their own and went to work for the position they still hold now, as a runeweaver under their boss, Seejra. They feel lied to when they learn they've been a demigod all along.
Ever since they were a child, Idrisse has suffered from strange dreams of their own death over and over and different people and figures they didn't recognize. Some have even been more surreal in nature and deal with the cosmos or visions of strange seraphic beings locked in combat. They've never been able to make sense of these. They've also suffered from "losing time" during highly emotional or stressful situations. Both of these have been their demigod identity trying to awaken at different points in their life. Their dreams are visions of past lives and a psychic awareness of what happened to Ombrath. And their losing time has been their magic attempting to awaken--but it was always unable to because of Ombrath's curse.
One day, a talented runeweaver named Seejra offered to take Idrisse on as an apprentice. Idrisse turned the offer down to stay and help their dad, whose health was failing.
