you laid on your boyfriends chest, the sunset shining in through the blinds of the window in the hotel room. he had fallen asleep hours ago, but you didn’t complain about it. you two had been on the run looking for the treasure for days, probably weeks at this point, you couldn’t keep track. he deserved his rest, as did you, but you couldn’t sleep. you were restless, too worried about braddock and her men finding where the two of you were.

you let your fingers softly trace over his warm, tan skin as he breathed softly under you. how could someone be so perfect?

you felt him stir awake underneath your touch, your suspicions confirmed when you felt his lips press against the hair on the top of your head. you mentally cursed yourself.

“i didn’t mean to wake you,” you mumbled softly, “go back to sleep.”

he shook his head, “‘sall right, i was starting to wake up anyway.”

you nodded, craning your neck back to look at him. he smiled tiredly at you, leaning forward and kissing you softly yet sweetly. when you had met him, you never would’ve guessed he was the soft, hopeless romantic type. no one did, really. everyone just thought that it was the way he was with you.

after a few minutes of comfortable silence, he spoke up, “when we get back home, what do you think about getting married?”

his question didn’t throw you off guard. the two of you had always talked about getting married ever since you met him, but deciding the two of you would figure it out when the time came.

you had been thinking about it a lot over the past couple weeks while the two of you had been working on this mission. you thought about what life married to nate would be like, a lot like how it is now, just with his last name.

none of it scared you anymore. if anything, it excited you.

you smiled against his chest, “i think you’ll need a ring for that, drake.”

he smiled, “already got it all planned out,” you looked back at him sweetly, “with the gold, i’ll get you a nice ring, maybe we’ll even get lucky and get a nice house for us to start a family in one day. how’s that sound?”

you pressed a kiss to his chest, smiling contently as his hands played with your hair softly, “sounds heavenly, baby.”

"So Y/N, are you currently dating anyone?" asks Ellen, taking a sip from her mug.

You shake your head.

"Not currently, no."

Ellen nods.

"Well, please don't worry anymore. We're going to help you find someone in a little game we like to call Who'd You Rather?"

"Oh God," you laugh, twisting slightly in your seat to glare at your manager for agreeing to this who laughed and poked her tongue out at you.

"So all you need to do is look at the photos I show you and pick between these two options, alright?"

"Okay, if you insist." you roll your eyes, facing the large screen.

"I do. So to start off, Timothee Chalamet or Dylan O'Brien?"

"Oh, wow," you laugh. "Starting off strong. Well, I was an absolute hoe for Maze Runner when it came out so I have to pick Dylan. Plus, I know Timothee better so it would be kinda awkward if I chose him."

The picture of Timothee fades away and is replaced by a new photo.

"Dylan O'Brien or Harry Styles?"

"Harry fucking Styles." you say without hesitation and the audience cheers. Ellen nods.

"Harry Styles or Florence Pugh?"

You bury your head in your hands.

"How could you ask me that, Ellen? That's like asking someone to pick between cookie dough and mint chip ice cream! Impossible."

Ellen mimes tapping at her watch and tuts at you.

"Time's ticking, Y/N. Make your choice."

You sigh.

"It's absolutely Florence then. Sorry, Harry."

"Florence pugh or Chris Evans?" Ellen asks.

"Flo."

Ellen's eyes gleam as she quickly reads the next pair of names, rubbing her hands together in a comically evil fashion.

"Florence Pugh or Tom Holland?"

You slide down on your chair, laughing and covering your face with your hands.

"Ellen!" you shriek. "I've just come off my second movie co-starring with Tom and he's literally my best friend. You can't ask me this!"

Ellen grins.

"Florence Pugh or Tom Holland?" she repeats.

You pout at the camera.

"Flo, I am so sorry. Please still be my friend. I pick Tom."

The crowd roars in approval and you wave a hand at them, laughing.

"Shhhh, guys."

"Tom Holland or Jake Gyllenhaal?" asks Ellen.

"Tom Holland."

"Tom Holland or Hailee Steinfeld?"

"Tom Holland."

"Tom Holland or Niall Horan?"

You hesitate, biting your lip as Tom's frozen grin stares down at you from the photo.

"I…fuck. Tom?" you say, almost as a question.

"So it's Tom?" Ellen grins. "Speak now or forever hold your peace."

You nod, sitting up straight and crossing your legs.

"It's Tom."

Ellen stares straight into the camera as an assistant signals an upcoming ad break. She rests one hand on your shoulder as she addresses the audience.

"Tom Holland, you'd better act quickly. Y/N is currently sitting by her phone, waiting for your call. Don't mess this up."

April 2021

You relax into the plush cushion of the chair on Ellen's set once again. You are paying attention, sort of. You nod and laugh in all the right places, offering stories and jokes when needed but your mind is miles away. Ellen can pick up on this and she shifts in her seat.

"Y/N." she says, holding eye contact. "Can I have your phone please?"

Your eyes widen as you reach into the pocket of your oversized blazer, following her request and placing the unlocked device in Ellen's waiting hand.

"I wonder," she says out loud, "who we can get to answer your call?"

"Oh God," you laugh, covering your face. "If no one picks up I'll be so embarrassed."

"The Watermelon Man?" Ellen questions, reading off of the screen. "Shall we call the Watermelon Man, whoever that is?"

You cover your face, laughing.

"Jesus. If Harry Styles doesn't pick up I think I'll throw myself off a cliff."

The phone rings three times before a voice rings out from a noisy background.

"Y/N! How are you?" laughs Harry. "This is a surprise, I have to admit."

"Harry!" you call out, before he can say anything else. "Ellen's hijacked my phone and started ringing people, I'm so sorry."

"Oh, she has?" Harry asks mischievously. "I'll make sure not to mention anything about our upcoming collaboration then…" he trails off and you can practically hear him winking through the phone as he hangs up.

"That absolute fucker," you laugh, rolling your eyes at his spoiler as Ellen is already scrolling through your contacts list again.

"Oh!" she exclaims, eyes bright. "Y/N, I thought you told us you weren't dating anyone? May I ask who 'My Darling 💖' is?"

You freeze on the spot, mouth drying out as you blink at Ellen, desperately trying to jump start your brain into snatching the phone back. You glance over at your manager who is sat stock still, just as shocked as you are.

The phone rings five times and you breathe a sigh of relief. It's 3AM in London right now, he's not going to pick up.

Just as you've collected your heart off of the floor and smoothed your hair down, ready to make a self deprecating joke about this mystery person not picking up, there's a pause and the a collective gasp from the audience as the phone connects.

"Hello my love, is everything alright?" asks Tom in his groggy, raspy morning voice.

Ellen's jaw hits the floor so quickly you're shocked it doesn't fall off entirely.

hiiii ! tysm, i still don't believe it and it won't stop to up more and more! and ofc i'm gonna write this little blurb ! It's short, it's a blurb, it's fluff ! here you go, i hope you're gonna love it !

Lying on your back looking at the ceiling, you tried to breathe deeply by closing your eyes before turning to the side. You’ve caught your biceps to stretch as quietly as possible but nothing in your manoeuvre has changed. Slowly, you sat in the bed, looking next to you to see Tom sleeping there. The handsome bastard was a lucky one and you envied him for finding sleep while you felt that only a steamroller could relieve tension in your muscles. You bent your legs with your toes at the end of the bed before bending to stretch your back, again growling as quietly as possible. You hoped to hear a possible snap of your bones, and feel your muscles relax as you stretch. But nothing, absolutely nothing relieved your pain.

A movement beside you and a rustle to draw your attention. Tom gets up slightly wiping the sleep from his eyes.

"What are you doing," he asked you as you were always leaning over your toes.

"I can’t sleep. My back hurts."

Despite his tired eyes, Tom raised an eyebrow before smiling slightly.

"Lie on your stomach, baby."

"What?!"

You weren’t sure you understood. How would that help you? Seriously, you tried and even dreamed that Tessa wouldn’t lay all her weight on you, but it never happened. Tom simply repeated his request and you complied.

It only took a few seconds for you to feel Tom on your butt and his hands slipping on your skin, raising the thin layer of your top. His thumbs roll from your lower back to your shoulder blades in a strong but extremely gentle pressure at the same time. A feeling of happiness that made you moan with both pain and relief.

Your boyfriend could feel the tension in your muscles, the build-up of stress at work, but also the social pressure you were continually under as his girlfriend. He continued to massage your skin, kneading your shoulders as if you were just a ball of bread dough. You even felt his knuckles squeeze under your shoulder blades until you felt the skin of his hands. The force he applied was perfect.

"oh" you let escape so much happiness and surprise to feel a muscle rolling under his fingers you blossomed

"oh?"

"Don’t stop. Don’t stop, you have fairy fingers, Thomas."

A little laugh escaped from his throat, a playful laugh, tired but tender. He could have so much added a salacious remark to your comment but Tom almost relished seeing you so relaxed under his fingers. He continued again and again until he noticed the light snoring emitted by you. Tom leaned over to give you a kiss in the middle of your back, happy to have been able to help you sleep.

"Good night, darling."

summary: rumors fly during an interview leading to a shock announcement for tom and his girlfriend

a/n: inspired by a tiktok i saw months ago and have not stopped thinking abt since i literally could not think of one panel-type event that wasnt comic-con i am so sorry flsjsjksjs

Tom shifts in his seat, running one hand through his curls as he tries to keep his face animated and stop his eyes glazing over. he's been sat on a vaguely uncomfortable chair for the last hour or so at Comic-Con, promoting his latest movie and as much as he loves his job and the fans, all he wants to do is crawl into bed and curl up next to you for a good twelve hours.

"Tom?" prompts the interviewer.

"I- I'm so sorry, what was your question?" he asks, flushing in embarrassment at being caught zoning out.

"Is Y/N here today?" repeats the interviewer patiently.

Tom grins at the mention of your name and he sits up taller, eyes scanning the crows until he finds you, hoodie pulled up over your head to hide from eagle-eyed fans.

"She is, yeah. I basically dragged her here so we could kind of spend time together, as an apology." he admits.

"An apology?" the interviewer says. "What did you do, Tom?"

"Yeah, what did you do, Tom?" echoes one of his co-stars, laughing.

"I fell asleep during our movie date." Tom admits sheepishly, shaking his head at the roar of laughter from the crowd. "Twenty minutes in, I was out cold."

"You didn't!" laughs the interviewer. "What did she do?"

"She was the absolute best, of course. She just held me and stroked my hair and wrapped me up in a blanket and then stayed on the sofa with me all night." he says, eyes crinkling at the general "awww" from the crowd.

The interviewer's eyes glint mischievously as Tom tells his story, clearly sensing a way to divert the interview to The Good Stuff™.

"So speaking of Y/N, there's been a lot of talk about you two online recently." he starts. "Specifically, engagement rumors? Is there any basis, any truth to these rumors?"

Tom shifts around as he stalls for time until he can meet your eyes in the crowd, raising his fluffy eyebrow ever so slightly to silently ask if you're okay with him talking about your relationship. You give him a tiny nod, encouraging him to go on.

"No, we're not engaged." he says. "But we've honestly never been happier than we are right now. She's so creative, and caring, and funny, and gorgeous. There's no one else I'd rather spend my life with."

You can't help but feel slightly choked up as he gushes, resisting the urge to throw off your hoodie and run up to the stage, crushing him into a bear hug and never letting go.

"WHEN ARE YOU PROPOSING?!" yells a particularly enthusiastic fan, rousing cheers from the rest of the crowd and the cast members on stage.

Tom laughs as he winks at you again.

"When I'm sure she'll say yes."

This, of course, results in almost hysterical screams (affectionate).

You pull your phone from your pocket, tapping on Tom's contact and typing out a message. He's watching you of course, so when he feels his phone buzz in his pocket he pulls it out, cheering like an excited seven year old, "I got a text! From Y/N!"

Y/N 💗: i'd marry you in a heartbeat baby <3

He blows a kiss in your direction, grinning from ear to ear. As he's distracted, gazing at you lovingly, a co-star leans over his shoulder and reads the text.

"Holy shit!" they laugh. "Did Tom Holland just get engaged?"

The screams reach an all-time record and you wince slightly, bringing a hand up to your ringing ear. Tom snatches his phone closer, rolling his eyes.

"Hold your horses!" he laughs. "Let me check."

He balances the microphone in his left hand as he types out a quick message.

tommy 🤠: Did we just get engaged??

Y/N 💗: we will be when you give me that rock hidden at the back of your sock drawer 😳

Tom's soft brown eyes crinkle around the edges as he grins all but leaps up from his chair.

"Is this interview wrapping up soon?" He asks cheekily. "I've got to go get engaged."

The Multiverse of Thieves, part 2 | p.p.

Pairing: Peter Parker x reader, Nathan Drake x reader (not a love triangle)

Summary: you and Peter are going undercover during a mission. Everything is going well, until you get through a Portal by chance and meet another version of Peter.

Warnings: spoilers from the Uncharted trailer, established relationship, comedy, plot twist, Peter/Nate/Reader are 18+, a lil bit of violence (fighting, mention of blood, guns), angst

A/N: here’s part 2!! I hope that Nathan is not too different/strange from the videogame, but since I haven’t played it, I don’t know if I gave him justice. Feedback is always appreciated by a writer! Tell me if you wanna be tagged in part 3. Hope you like it :)

You’d think he would be the one astonished, while you’d be excited to have crossed a Portal, but truth is: it’s the other way around. He’s looking at you with a wide smile on his face, while you’re thinking that Cap will scold the hell out of you when you’ll come back. You’re not a kid anymore, but it seems like Cap loves to think that you still are. Anyway, Nathan, who really reminds you of Peter for his appearance, is now looking at his maps.

“So, you said you’re from New York? Where was the Portal?”

“Do you really believe me? A stranger that was in your bed randomly?”

“It’s not the first weird thing that happened to me,” he replies with a crooked smile. “Anyway, we’re in New Orleans now. This means that we have to reach New York in order to find the Portal. We can’t meet the Avengers, though. They can’t recognize you, because in theory, your other version lives there”.

“I watched Back to the Future, I already know the rules, Sherlock,” you say, more angry at the situation than him.

He raises his hands in front of his chest as an apology: “Sorry, didn’t want to offend you”.

You stand up from the bed, sighing.

“I’m not mad at you, Nathan. It’s just… I had this beautiful dinner reserved at my favourite restaurant and I really hoped to spend the night with my boyfriend,” you say.

“I see. How’s he? Tell me about him,” he replies, while taking some supplies for the trip. “Peter, right?”

“Yeah. He’s very cute and goofy and sweet. You’d like him. Everybody loves Peter,” you say. “He’s a really good guy”.

“There aren’t good guys anymore. You should keep him,” Nathan says.

“You look like them”.

He turns in order to look at you. He’s scanning your face as if he wants to find out that you’re actually lying, but you’re not. A corner of his lips raises up.

“We should go,” he says.

You’re asking yourself if Peter’s looking for you. Probably, he’s annoying Doctor Strange by now, asking him a lot of questions about Portals and time travels. Maybe even Cap is worried about you, even if sometimes he doesn’t really care about you. Since he’s become the chief of the Avengers, he always seems so concerned about everything. Once, the two of you were really good friends. He even helped you to get with Peter, some time ago. Now he’s always so busy even to talk together just for a while. You wonder if your relationship with him is different in this universe. If he seems like your big brother. If you’re with Peter. If you’re an Avenger.

“I can hear the noise of your thoughts, Y/N,” Nathan says. He’s sitting next to you on the airplane. He offers you one of his earphones. “Come on, listen to some music with me”.

You accept the offer.

“I can alredy say that your taste in music is awful. You should listen to Taylor Swift,” you say, one song later.

“You’re so annoying,” he says, rolling his eyes, but then he allows you to pick the next song.

The two of you spend the rest of the flight talking. He’s a very interesting person, so it surprises you that he wants to know about your life and your missions with the Avengers. They’re not so exciting, you think. The most exciting thing, for you, is that you get to share them with Peter. He’s actually the reason why you became an Avenger in the first place. To spend your time with him.

“So, uhm, this Peter guy,” he says, while taking the luggage in the airport, “he seems very cute”.

“You look like you’re trying to be my big brother,” you chuckle. “Don’t worry there’s already Cap for that. He approves,” you say.

“Does he really know him?” He asks you. You stop exactly out of the airport, confused.

“What do you mean?”

Nathan notices that you stopped and he does it too.

“Nothing. It’s just that… maybe things are not always as they seem,” he says.

You open your mouth to reply, but this happens before someone shouts Nathan’s name. You turn around and you see two men with a gun, following him.

“Nathan, what’s happening?”

“Run!”

He takes your hand, leaving the luggage. Your mind becomes blurry, you don’t even remember about New York’s streets anymore. For a moment, you’re scared as never before. So you try to think about something that could help you concentrate. You look up, hoping to see Peter on patrol, but he’s not there. How could he be? And then, something pops up in your mind: if Nathan has got Peter’s face, do the Avengers actually exist in this world?

Nathan takes you behind a building. He’s trying to catch his breath, hands on his knees. You look at him with disgust, while taking a few steps back from him. He looks at you, confused.

“What are you doing? They could see us,” he says, out of breath.

“You lied to me,” you affirm.

“What?” He asks, furrowing his brows. He looks so much like Peter now, but he’s not him for sure. Peter would never do that to you.

“The speech about the good guys and all of that… it was all a lie, right? You’re not just an archeologist who likes treasures. You steal them,” you spit out. He looks pale, now. “Do the Avengers even exist in this world?” You find yourself screaming. “Cap? Iron Man? Anyone?”

“Y/N, please, calm down…” he says, trying to take your hand, but you take another step back. “Don’t touch me. You didn’t believe me just for fun, you wanted a way out. Where you thinking of coming with me through the Portal? You’re not gonna do that, Nate. Not on my watch,” you say.

“Y/N, I’m sorry, but I… if you’d know…”

“Drake!” Somebody screams.

You look behind you, only to see one of the two men with the gun pointed at you. You jump on your left just a moment before he could catch you. Nathan wasn’t so fast, though. One of his legs is bleeding. Even if a part of you just wants to live him there, you’re still an Avenger and this means that you have to protect him.

“Go,” you tell him, taking the knuckledusters that Nat gifted you for your birthday. “I may not be the Black Widow, but Nat taught me pretty well. Meet me at the museum. We’ll find the Portal!” You say.

Then you take a dustbin lid to use it as a shield. You throw it against one of them. It’s like Cap taught you: one breath, one punch, one breath, one kick. If you’d be a witch like Wanda, you would have already finished, but no, you had to be human, of course. And then they say that being an Avenger is supposed to be fun.

You take the gun from the guy and you throw it away. You can hear the sirens of the police cars getting close. When you turn around, you notice that somehow Nathan has disappeared. You hope to find him at the museum. That’s when a punch makes you fall on the ground.

“I thought that your boyfriend had already let you die once. I guess I’m gonna have to kill you again, then,” he says, loading the gun.

Boyfriend? Is he talking about Peter?

Too late for them, though: the police is here. They’re quick to arrest them, but you’re faster than them, so luckily, two minutes later you’re already running away.

Your ribs hurt and so is your chest. You stole a hat from a guy in order to enter in the museum without getting recognized. You don’t how Nate could have cured his wound, but you don’t really care right now. You just want to go home and hug Peter. You see the place in which he was before the Portal ate you alive and almost feel the urge to cry.

You take a deep breath. When things are difficult, you always have to remember than you’re stronger than what you think you are. So you look around, but you don’t see the Portal, nor Nate anyway. That’s odd. How did you end up here in the first place? Who opened the Portal?

“Y/N?” Somebody asks you. Nate looks very tired. “I’m glad you’re okay”.

“Nate, maybe I should call an ambulance,” you say, while holding onto his arm. “Please, let me help you”.

“I’m running out of time, Y/N,” he says. He takes you somewhere private, when other people can barely see the two of you, hidden by a wall.

“The police arrested them, Nate. You’re safe now,” you say, with a smile. “Probably they found your treasure, though”.

“Don’t think about that. I owe you an explanation, Y/N. I lied to you. I knew who you were, because I met you. Well, I met this universe’s version of you,” he says.

He’s on the verge of crying, now. You can see it in his face, in his glossy eyes and in his sense of guilt. His expression is of pure pain, but also full of affection, maybe for your other self. It’s the same look that Peter gives you when he tells you he loves you. Can two different people look at the you in the same exact way? Is there just one way to look at the person you love?

Wait. Does that mean that Nathan has feelings for you?

“Nate…”

“You died, Y/N. I’m sorry. I never had the chance to tell you this, but I’m truly sorry,” he says. “We were partners. Last time, something went wrong and you died. I couldn’t help you. I kept the treasure, because it was an engagement ring. Now, I’d like to give it to you,” he explains. Then, he takes a ring from his pocket and hands it over to you. “Marry Peter, one day. He’s a good guy,” he says.

You try to talk, but turns out, the police followed you and now they’re here. Time’s over. So you take the ring, smiling at him.

“I forgive you, Nate,” you say, giving him a kiss on his cheek.

“Tell Peter I say hi,” he replies, pointing at something behind you. You turn around and you see that a Portal is opening in the middle of the room.

“I’m not gonna leave you here,” you say.

“Does it look like it’s your choice?” He asks you. Then, he pushes you over, where the police can see you.

You start running, while one of them is following you. You don’t look back, you don’t have the time to, but you bet that Nate’s looking at you.

You jump into the Portal a moment before it closes.

When you open your eyes, you find yourself in the Avengers’ Tower. You stand up, still holding the ring in your hand. Cap, Strange and Peter are talking in front of you. Cap seems really sad and concerned, while Peter’s trying to find a solution with Strange. Peter’s almost screaming, when Strange suddenly turns around and sees you.

“Y/N?” Strange calls you.

Peter immediately runs towards you. He hugs you, holding you so tight you almost can’t breathe. Your ribs still hurt, but you don’t want Peter to know. You want to live this moment completely. You’ve missed this. You give him a sweet kiss on the lips, caressing his cheeks with both of your hands. You’re wearing the ring on your finger and he notices it.

“Did you get married or something?” He asks you, confused.

“Something,” you shrug with a smile. “I’m gonna tell you everything tomorrow. Now I just want to sleep. And cuddle, maybe,” you say.

“Of course,” he says, kissing you.

But you can’t sleep. You wake up in the middle of the night. Peter’s sleeping next to you in the bed, peacefully. You’re still wearing the ring that Nathan has given to you. You have to know if he’s alright. So you go to the kitchen to drink a glass of water, thinking about a plan to come back, but you find Cap there.

“Cap?”

He looks at you.

“You know, I haven’t really understood why you started calling me like that. Before I became the chief, I was just Steve to you,” he says, while pouring some water in a glass for you.

You swallow.

“I’m not gonna talk to you about this now”.

“I think we should, Y/N,” he says, firmly.

“Y/N?” It’s Peter’s voice. You turn around, astonished. This can’t be happening. Not again. Next to each side of Peter there’s someone: Strange on his left and you on his right, with a gun pointed at Peter’s back. At least, another version of you. “Maybe it’s time you explain to us what happened back there” Peter says.

“And please, be quick,” Strange adds.
