When You Cannot Cut Contact With A Narcissistic Parent
Dealing with narcissistic parents can be one of the most challenging experiences a person can go through. While some people may choose to cut ties with their toxic parents in order to protect their mental and emotional well-being, for others this may not be an option.

I said what I said. I'm not saying encouragement isn't important. It is. But when it comes to indie, people put words in your mouth. They try to pretend they know how you feel. They dismiss the experience and wonder how you could be a downer or get into trouble often. And you're all probably thinking I'm not doing anything for my sales or I'm not doing enough to ask my friends and family. I added that info for a reason. Did you know that 98% of them don't care? That I take that other 2% with great pride? It's not a lot, but it's mine. I'm still an author. Mental illness is real. Abusive families exist. Trauma isn't a joke. Words do hurt. They run deep into our subconscious. And by not looking to change the system from the bottom up, our integrity means nothing. Actions change the world, because we've already broken trust. #TraumaSurvivor #DysfunctionalFamily #NarcissisticParent #NarcissisticAbuse #Empaths #PeoplePleaser #GrowingUpAbused #Unkindness #NeverEnough #TurnTheWorldAround #DidYouKnow #WishesDontComeTrue #ThereIsNoHappyEnding #LifeIsADisease #ChooseCarefully #PickYourPoison #HelpOrHinder #TheOppositeOfLoveIsIndifference #SupportLocal #SupportIndie #NoIntimidation #IndieAuthors #WrappedInTheRaysOfTheSun https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp28w0DJDfo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Rent lowering gunshot hours
Time to fire multiple just in case:
I'm proship.
I'm a radinclus.
I'm literally bi gay.
I use the words "queer" and "faggot" and "dyke" and "tranny" quite fucking often.
I support endogenic/not-fully-traumagenic systems.
I support Palestine and Ukraine and landback movements and also am against anti-semitism and islamophobia.
Radfems/TERFs/TEHMs/SWERFs can get fucked.
Sex work is work and should be legalized.
Weed and other drugs should be legalized.
Kids should be allowed to use puberty blockers/transition.
You can be trans without dysphoria, and not wanting to surgically or hormonally transition doesn't make you any less of a trans person and you deserve respect for it.
Radqueers and transID people and similar (since they have a thousand fucking labels) are NOT valid.
Kids and animals and dead bodies cannot consent.
Paraphiles, regardless of if they are "the big three" should be respected and be allowed to get help. Even if they are "pro-contact" or "neutral-contact", they deserve the chance to change, even if I will block and report the shit out of them.
Abortions should be legal everywhere and it doesn't matter why you get them, ever, forever.
Cluster Bs are not inherently evil people and ableism towards them and in general is horrible. "Narc abuse" doesn't exist and subs like r/narcissisticparents and r/bpdlovedones are hate subs.
That's all I can think of now before my ceiling collapses from the all the gunshots I just fired.

Living with a #NarcissisticParent was not easy, and some of the things that where said to me, as a daughter completely broke me. Things I didnt deserve. No parent should tell their child that. It hasnt left me, and I got away four years ago, and went no contact two years ago. Some things just stick with you. I can remember the exact moment as well, my parent - drunk and drugged, crying and jumping up and down like a toddler, screaming it at me in hope they would get a reaction. But I was just numb. I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.

Effect of narcissistic parenting on children
In my previous blog posts, I have discussed what is a narcissistic personality disorder and the signs that a child has been raised by narcissistic parents. In this article, I’ll discuss the effects that narcissistic parenting can have on the child.
Every parent influences who their child is going to grow up to be. If the parent is a narcissist or a psychopath, the child learns attributes that would be different if the child had parents who are neither. However, before I get into the effect of narcissistic parenting on children, you need to understand what a narcissist truly is #parenting #narcissism #narcissisticparenting
