Grief doesn't only show up when we lose a loved one, it's also likely to emerge when...

we finally feel safe we outgrow friendships we feel joy for the first time in a while we connect with our childhood we realize we're no longer the same person we were before we started healing we begin to want different things than we once did we enter into a new stage of life we become a parent we miss the opportunity to become a parent we go through a divorce or breakup we miss an opportunity we longed for we witness tragedy we re-inhabit our body
