I think it’s interesting that the Skybreakers are the only order of Radiant that we know all five Ideals for. It seems like most, if not all of the other orders have to discover things as they go, but the Skybreakers have it mostly worked out, with *some* room for individual choice
The First Ideal for Skybreakers is the generic “Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.” They call it the Ideal of Radiance
The Second Ideal is the Ideal of Justice. In Szeth’s words, it’s “I swear to seek justice, to let it guide me, until I find a more perfect Ideal.”
The Third Ideal is the Ideal of Law. This is the one Skybreakers have to follow until and unless they swear the Fifth Ideal. I’m not sure what happens if the thing a Skybreaker chooses as their Third Ideal fails before they swear the Fifth, but something Szeth says in RoW makes me think that they’d have to find something else to follow so their Nahel bond isn’t broken. Then again, Szeth’s interpretation might not be accurate, especially since he holds so strongly to rules/codes/Ideals he’s latched onto. Either way, the Skybreaker Third Ideal according to Szeth is “I swear to follow the will of Dalinar Kholin. This is my oath.” We see him grapple with that more in his RoW interlude
The Skybreaker Fourth Ideal is the Ideal of Crusade. This is where they pick a larger goal to attain, and they can only accomplish it if their spren is satisfied. For Szeth, the Fourth Ideal is “I will cleanse the Shin of their false leaders, so long as Dalinar Kholin agrees.”
Again, this is where Skybreakers are different than other Radiants we’ve seen so far. For example, Windrunners don’t know the gist of their Fourth Ideal until they’re forced against it, if Kaladin is a fairly accurate example. Skybreakers know the *idea* of what their Fourth Ideal will be, even if the *details* take form over time. I also think it’s super interesting that they can state what their Fourth Ideal will be in advance, even if it takes months, years, or even decades to accomplish whatever goal they set for themselves. In OB chapter 90, a Skybreaker Master says that they were at the Third Ideal for two decades before attaining the Fourth.
And the Fifth Ideal for the Skybreakers is the Ideal of Law. This is where the Skybreaker becomes law and Truth. Nale is the only example we have in modern times of a Skybreaker who has sworn that Ideal, and his situation is complicated, since he’s a Herald. Even in OB chapter 90, though, a Skybreaker master says that it’s been centuries since a member of their order reached the Fifth Ideal. I don’t know if Nale was the last, or if there have been a few since he reached the Fifth Ideal.
Szeth hasn’t sworn the Fifth Ideal as a Skybreaker. I theorize that he will swear it at some point, partially because it fits so well with a previous headcanon of mine. I also think it’d be super meaningful/impactful for Szeth to swear an Ideal that allows him to make his own decisions/enforce his own will. In OB chapter 106, Nale tells Szeth that he’s the first in a new order of Skybreakers. There has to be some kind of significance to that, but we don’t have all the pieces yet. Nale didn’t prevent Szeth from joining Dalinar and the Coalition after the Battle of Thaylen Field, and I wonder if that was intentional.
If one Radiant swears the Fifth Ideal in KoWT, it *might* be Szeth. I do want him to reach that point eventually, but I also worry that it could feel rushed in KoWT, especially since he said the first Three Ideals so quickly (he said the first two Ideals on the same day, and the Third like a month later lol)
I think I got off track from my original point. This post definitely ended up being longer than I thought it would.
Tl,dr. Skybreakers are unique as far as I can tell/remember, and the fact that their Ideals are broadly laid out ahead of time makes for some interesting possibilities. And I also included Szethposting, because of course I did

Moash should be a shybreaker. (And not cause of justice is blind thing. His blindness should just be blindness. An injury not a punishment)
Teft was although a friend. Was an enemy combatant.
Yes he is vindictive. His greatest flaw is that he is gullible. He is loyal until he isn't.
And he seems to get betrayed by every ideal he swear.
But in the end. He didn't, as much got betrayed by people, as much as he got betrayed by the institution.
There was simply nothing he could do once the law was thrown out the window. And vengeance is just another face of justice.
So having him as a skybreaker who is devoted to an ideal and at the end becoming law itself seems a better arc. And having been on side of the vengeance he can judge better. And unlike nale, Moah isn't a machine. He wants to be but he isn't. He understands compassion and forgiveness.
He is one of my favorite characters. It would be interesting to see whom he chooses as his third ideal.
Alternatively.
He can be an awakened radiant (corrupted) As he is shunned by both human and singer. Seems like he would fit within the awakened truthwatchers. And purely cause it be funny. He hated renarin. Or hated the idea of him.
But renarin is such a sunshine boy if anyone can make moash see past his hateded its renarin.
He should not be dead. He should live and learn and grow and grow old.
Not as a cautionary tale but as a reminder that we can make better choices.

If Gavilar Had Survived a Little Longer
Gavilar: Tell Thaidakar he's too late!
Szeth: I don't know who that is
Gavilar: Restares? Sadeas?
Szeth: My masters are...
Gavilar: Don't tell me, I want to guess. Was it Nale?
Szeth: You mean Nin? No.
Gavilar: Taln is mad that I want to take his place?
Szeth: Stop guessing Heralds
Gavilar: I've got it! The stormfather! I knew he was lying!
Szeth: You're insane.
Gavilar: Elhokar or Dalinar making a play for the throne?
Szeth: No
Gavilar: Navani's really mad that I yelled at her?
Szeth: Is there anyone in your family you don't suspect of killing you? It wasn't them.
Gavilar: I don't suspect Jasnah. Was it Taravingian? He seems to be up to more than he lets on.
Szeth: Don't be silly, I would never work for him.
Gavilar: Is the king of Jah Keved so scared of our alliance with the Parshendi that he’d have me killed?
Szeth: How do you have so many enemies but still have more than you think? My masters are the Parshendi.
Gavilar: That doesn't make any sense!?
Szeth: RAFO
Gavilar: ...Take this sphere and tell my brother he must find the most important words a man can say.
Szeth: Dying requests are sacred in my culture, I will do as you ask.
Gavilar: Wait! As my dying request can you instead kill everyone else I guessed except my family members?
Szeth: ...Okay not that sacred.

Cosmere Characters, what's your source?
This post is fully inspired by this one, where "Source: just a gut feeling" was tagged by @taravangians-storming-balls as "#adolin most of the time." So true.
So how would other Cosmere characters respond if you demanded their source?
Adolin: Source? Just a gut feeling!
Dalinar: Source? Visions from the Almigthy.
Lirin: Source? The Wisdom of the Heralds.
Kelsier: Source? A mysterious rumor, but one which I happen to know to be true.
Taravangian: Source? Only the smartest guy I've ever been.
Nale: Source? The laws of this land.
Yumi: Source? Well, uh, just Liyun if I'm being honest...
Yumi: ...Is that bad?
Elend: [eyes gleaming as he pulls 5 books out of his bag] You may be sorry you asked!
Navani: Source? You can consult my experiment log.
Raboniel: Yes, consult Navani's experiment log. I have it right here.
Navani: Please stop stealing my experiment log!
Marasi: Source? Well, it's a fairly long story, but I have my case notes right here.
MeLaan: Source? Me! I'm, like, thousands of years old probably.
Allrianne: Source? Please! Search your feelings, you know this to be true.
Allrianne: (Just a little Rioter joke, tee hee.)
Hoid: Source? Why, you of course! You lend your own meaning to my tales.
Jasnah: Source? As in, just one?
Jasnah: Bah, only amateurs use a single source.
Steris: And that's why I have these FIFTY sources!
Szeth: Source? The ancient wisdom of my people.
Szeth: Wait--no. The words of whoever holds my oathstone.
Szeth: Wait--no. The local laws.
Szeth: Wait--no. Whatever Dalinar says!
Szeth: Phew! Finally nailed it!
Adolin: ...
Szeth: What?

Trying to make character designs for the first chapter of WoK I experimented a bit style wise and tried a shape based approach. I quite like what came of it. So I added Kaladin and Shallan as they appear first in the books for good measure. :) Ardent asked why Kalak turned out such a gremlin / igor and the obvious answer is that a little, paranoid gremlin is what i see when I try to imagine him... 😅
Image description below:
[ID: Character line-up depicting the Herald Kalak, Nale, Elhokar, Dalinar, Szeth, Kaladin and Shallan, all standing in front of a neutral grey background. The style is based on shapes of flat colours with lines and shading here and there to convey depth and details.
Kalak is a small man with tan skin, hunched shoulders, nervously looking to the side. He has a very high forehead, his black hair coming from what might be a hairline starting to recede. He wears a long, purple light-eyes vest that comes down to his knees, where is wide pants end and his boots begin. Under it he wears a dress short in a pale violet with wide sleeves and a high collar.
Nale has dark skin, is bald and stands upright with both his hands behind his back. He wears a dark black-purple-bluish coat over a light-eyed vest of similar colour belted with a scarf of a lighter shade. The coat ends in sharp, triangular angles both on the back- and the front side. Nale’s crescent shaped scar is very visible on his right cheek.
Elhokar is wearing a light-eyes coat of a deep blue, with silver ornamentation especially on the shoulders and the front. The lower part of his flares out a bit.  His right hand hesitantly raised to his chest, he looks to the side with big green eyes, dark eyebrows, a big curved nose and full lips. His expression speaking of a youthful insecurity.
Dalinar is taller of them all, and very broad in his shoulders, chest and arms. He wears a traditional takama, a skirt-like garment of a dark blue cloth folded many times around his waist. His blue jacket his open on the front, showing strongly developed chest muscles and some greying chest hair. Under the takama he wear very big boots of a matching colour. He looks pretty grumpy. The area under his eyebrows in shadow with his blue eyes looking intense. There is a flush in his cheeks and arrows his nose. In his left hand he holds an empty glass bottle.
Szeth is small, he barely comes up to Dalinar’s and Kaladin’s shoulder. He wears his white, flowing assassins attire. A long loose vest over a white short and pants, with soft grey shoes. His sleeves are wide bit reined in at the wrists. A white scarf forms a hood around his head, from which is face glowers with a morose expression. His left hand is stretched to his side as if in the process of summoning a shardblade.
Kaladin is in bridgeman attire from Way of Kings, with dark blue pants that go a bit below his knees, sandals on his feet, a white loose shirt, sleeves rolled up, under a bridgeman vest of dirty rough cloth with some old bloodstains and padded shoulder parts. His shapes are exaggerated, very gangly, a narrow face with framed by wavy black hair and a similarly wavy dark, full beard. His skin is a tan colour, his nose long and curved and his eyes slighty slanted under strong eyebrows.
Shallan wears a light blue havah ornamented with thin golden stripes and broad golden bands on the shoulders, the bottom line of her dress and the end of her sleeves. Her full, wavy hair of a dark orange falls around her round face onto her shoulders, a small section on the top forming a top-knot. In her hands she holds the straps of a brown Messanger bag.]

Oh and about immortal insanity
I get a lot of people saying "Well Kelsier has lived upwards 300 years at this point, he's gotta be going insane, look at the heralds."
Ok so. 1.
The heralds are THOUSANDS of years old. Not a couple of centuries. THOUSANDS.
2. They have been tortured, repeatedly, in the most brutal ways possible. They have seen so much death and destruction it has left a permanent mental scar on their cognitive and spiritual aspect, that can only be undone when someone swears and oath. And that's not even permanently.
Kelsier has not be tortured. (Much...) Kelsier is also constantly among those who are not cognitive shadows. He has done major work on Scadrial; behind the scenes yes, but major, good work. He worked with Spook, ostensibly also his family. (Spook had A LOT of kids.)
He saved the Malwish and developed the Bands of Mourning.
He founded the Ghostbloods and fostered a very tight knit crew of mutual trust and understanding.
Kelsier is probably very much aware of his own sanity. He found himself wavering while trapped in the well, after all. He probably safeguards it keenly.
Babe is safe. Babe is warm and cozy in his immortality. Don't worry about it, he will never be a Nale.

I'm looking through your Stormlight swears project for fanfic purposes and I'm wondering if you have, or know of, a list of swears that each of the characters tends to use. I feel like this list exists somewhere...
To my knowledge, no such list exists but I may just be the person to make it. There is this list that organizes swears and idioms by culture/language. As far as swears by character, Dalinar is more likely to swear in a religious way (invoking Stormfather, the Almighty, the Heralds, "holy halls") than any other character in the main cast. Veil has a fondness for "Kelek's Breath", and it tends to pop up around alcohol as well. Adolin probably uses "bastard" more than other characters. "Nale's nuts" has only been used by men, I think.
That's what I have off the top of my head! Let me know if there's a specific character you're looking for and I can look deeper into what I have for them so far.

It’s very fascinating when reading prime just seeing in what stage things where developed. Like Shallan doesn’t really exist and kaladin and dalinar are both missing the most iconic aspects of their characters. Merin for example is not a slave, or particularly depressed and accepts his shardblade. But then desolations and heralds are all still here, taln ishar and nale have all been mentioned by name. And alethkar, thaylenah and jah keved are there.

I keep seeing people saying that Moash will be a Dustrbinger which I think is just wrong. He's obviously going to replace Nale as the Skybreaker herald.
Why?
Justice is blind.

Casualties of Round one. There are slight spoilers here so be wary.
Cosmere Sexyman
Despite Lightsong doing nothing to deserve it; he somehow managed to defeat Hobo god, Vasher. (Ok maybe Lightsong did a thing or two)
He may be a Herald, but Jezrian was no match for Dalinar Kholin and his nice ass
Sadly, Dockson is out. Maybe we can blame it on Kelsiers charisma (because we all know that he wouldn’t have as many followers if he wasn’t hot)
Maybe it was his abilities to see the future or maybe it’s not that, but Renarin was able to quite easily secure his spot on the board and defeat Rayse.
Sure Wayne might have a thing for hats, but Elend has an all white outfit and likes to read. He made his way to the top taking Mistborn era 2’s chances of having a sexyman with them. It’s ok. There are the ladies.
Just because he’s Mostly Unchained, doesn’t make Moash any less sexy as determined by him beating Nale the herald with the interesting crescent moon shaped scar.
Zellions pure unfuckable energy was just too much for his lover, Szeth son-son-Vallano with the white vans.
Again I do apologize for this, but Raoden is out. But actually him and Adolin are now friends because I say so.
These heralds don’t stand a chance. Especially Ishar against Kaladin “asexual but everyone wants them.” Stormblessed. His raw energy radiating off of the simp list led Kaladin to be the pure winner.
Sure back in the day Gavilar might’ve been hot but he’s also a shitty person and is quite untrustworthy. Surprise, surprise Mraize with his mysterious energy has overcome the former king of Alekthar
It was quite a battle out on bridge four. Old man or (not so) one armed Herdazian. By a small margin, thanks to his cousins, The Lopen was able to move on to the next round. Sorry Teft.
Maybe it’s because Susebron is the god king and therefore magically sexy or maybe it’s because Mistborn era 2 isn’t peoples favorites, but Allik has been pushed off the metaphorical blimp.
Both of them suck, yes, but fun fact! Amaram sucks less than Sadeas becuase Sadeas did not sweep. Tragic, I know.
Taravangian and his unstable mental capacity was not able to handle the heat of Sazed and his two shards. Maybe he just had a dumb day.
The duel of the H’s was not much of a duel and Hoid quickly came to the top over Hrathen. Hoids vibes are better than Hrathen, and I think that put him over the top.
Axies the collector successfully annoyed Lezian the pursuer off of the leaderboard by asking him too many questions about spren. Lezian tried to kill him, but it didn’t work. So he just left to try and pursue others or something.
Cosmere sexyladies
Blushweaver and her very horny energy (don’t deny it. We all read Warbreaker that was a very sexually charged book) outbid Paloma and her great vibes.
Venli and Timbres pulsing were absolutely no match for Jasnah and her beauty and poise and big boobs
Shallan Davar and her art skills were no match for Vivenna and her vibes. Shallan spent too much time sketching to actually pay attention to the sexywoman contest.
As we know, Spy Milfs are absolutely zero match for science Milfs. Therefore ilali got absolutely demolished by Navani.
Lalai is a scribe on Roshar. Meanwhile Vin is an allomancer and her raw talent has made it easy to get past Lalai.
Despite her sister’s vibes and raw energy, Siri has failed to get past Marasi “girl with a gun” Colms.
MeLann has absolute powerful vibes. Since they’re both Kandra, they can take any form they want. However Lessie also went insane and MeLann has not. Therefore MeLann swept the polls
Steris accounts for everything that can possibly happen. She didn’t account for Evi Kholin being a great mother, however. Despite that, Steris has the greatest vibes. Evi sadly has been burned with a small margin of a loss.
Allrienne is too much of a girly girl for Sarenes tall girl fencing energy. Therefore the Sarene sweep had been captivated.
Shan Elariel is a great example of a secretive girlie who has impeccable spy skills. However the living vibes of Cultivation were too much for her spying to handle.
The fused fistfight is the kind that can be fought by icons. Raboniel and Leshwi are both icons. However Lewshi’s heavenly ones vibes are no match for Raboniels science milf energy.
Rysn and Shai are both underrated queens and deserve any and all love. However Shai is no match for the Dawnshard that Rysn holds with in her.
Silence Montane is a dangerous woman, and Cord is an equally dangerous woman, however she cannot live up with her girlfriends Dawnshardic ability.
Aesudan and her crystal monster magical girl transformation is not able to stand up to her relatives loving mother vibes and Hesina swept Aesudan.
Herald vs Shard. Edgli is the shard on Nalthis and her calm, comforting voice isn’t at all able to handle Shalash’s absolute powerful heraldic energy and loses.
Eshonai isn’t as much of a scholar as Khriss and her total scholarly vibes made it difficult to fight. Even with her shardblade, she still cannot fight Khriss’s scholarly skills and Eshonai has lost.

I’m wondering about the Heralds’ relationship with their associated Radiant orders. Like obviously Nale has had a lot of influence over the Skybreakers. He’s the Herald of that order, a Skybreaker himself, and the only living one who has sworn the Fifth Ideal. Modern Skybreakers are the way they are largely because of Nale’s direction and enforcement of the order’s structure and methods.
But what about the other Heralds? Have any of them been involved with the Radiants at all, or do they try to forget? Does it depend on the Herald?
I don’t know if Jezrien was aware enough to be involved with the Windrunners before Moash killed him. We know pretty much nothing about Chanah and Vedel. I wonder what they think about modern Dustbringers and Edgedancers. Same with Pailiah and the Truthwatchers. I kind of think Ash would have absolutely no interest in being associated with the Lightweavers, and would actively try to distance herself as much as human(ish)ly possible. Batah and the Elsecallers??? Kalak is another one who I think would try to avoid any reminders of the past. Taln has been locked on Braize for 4500 years, and is now in no shape to be involved with the Stonewards. And we’ve seen how Ishar treats Dalinar.
I just think there’s a lot of potential to see how Heralds who aren’t Nale might have guided their Radiants at various points over time

It's new years night and I'm mourning this night. Not for anything real (in the most boring definition of that word) but for something else. I'm mourning for Taln otherwise known as Talen'elat, the Bearer of Agonies.
Following includes a lot of spoilers for the Stormlight Archive so read at your own peril.
Taln, th herald of the Stonewards, the rock that refused to be eroded away.
I sometimes think about his character from time to time and I just can't. I can't deal with the sheer amount of courage, determination and just compassion on this man. Because let us not forget this, at the end of the day, he is just that. A man. His station might be that of God's chosen representative on Earth (Roshar, whatever) but beneath all of th9s he is just a man. And this man's whole character is predicated on one simple idea.
If personal pain is the price to pay for peace then that is a deal well made.
Just think about this
This man endured all the tortures that a vengeful God and his army of enraged spirits could muster and said, is that all?
He then kept on doing that for over a thousand years (I don't really remember the exact timeliness and I'm too lazy to look up)
He did this alone.
Abandoned by the fellowship whose oath was to be there alongside him.
The kings of old, Jezrien of the vaunted honour, Nale of the strict law and Ishar of the highest wisdom failed but Taln, he of the stout heart kept on going. He just kept on doing the one thing that he had always done, endure so that others did not have to, sacrifice his peace, his life and eventually his mind so that those of less 'honourable' station and 'lineage' could have a chance at a life, at peace at growth.
And then, after a millenia of being abandoned by his colleagues, friends, leaders and (in one case) partner, abandoned to be tortured by a host whose hate is increased year on year due to him fulfilling his duty, after all that when he is given a moment of lucidity the only thing he can say is:
Thank you.
The torture didn't matter
The abandonment didn't matter
The only thing that mattered was duty. The only thing that mattered was the Oath. And more specifically the reason for that Oath. The reason is simple. Bear the agonies so that others didn't have to. All Taln sees is that he fulfilled his Oath.
Hats off to him man.

The thing about the stormlight archive is that the bits of it i'm obsessed with are the bits that clearly brandon sanderson cares about the least, ditto the fandom and i'm still So Mad about how bad the heralds and szeth got sidelined in row. so i go like months without thinking of it and then i remember nale exists and i'm like omg nale

Who Will Be Odium’s Champion?
[Major spoilers through Rhythm of War!!]
Poor Odium. He needs a champion to fight Dalinar, and none of his plans have been working out. He tried to get Dalinar to be his champion, but that failed. Then I think he tried to get Kaladin, if I understood Rhythm of War correctly, but that also failed. And he needs a willing champion, so it has to be someone he can convince, and it needs to happen within the next ten narrative days.
So let’s write a list that will probably age very, very badly! Who are some candidates for Odium’s champion-to-be?
1. Moash
How Odium would pitch it: “Hey man, want to be my champion?” I mean, I feel l like this one would be easy. Moash works for Odium. Moash was already willing to kill Teft and volunteered to drive Kaladin to suicide. Plus Moash lowkey wants to die himself. Asking Moash to fight Dalinar to the death would be like asking him to go grab some eggs from the grocery store.
Likely Effectiveness: Not high, to be honest. I’m not convinced that Moash would win a fight with Bondsmith Dalinar--especially under the assumption that we’re going to get a big Bondsmith training montage in Book 5. And I feel like this wouldn’t be narratively satisfying either. Moash vs. Kaladin? I’m already sobbing. Moash vs. Dalinar? I mean...kinda meh, right?
2. El
How Odium would pitch it: “Hey, man, want to be my champion?” El is one of the Fused, and works for Odium. He’s the guy who appeared right at the end of Rhythm of War and killed the Pursuer, if you don’t remember. He used to be Vyre. He likes humans. He wants Humans & Singers to join forces under Fused rule. So presumably he’d be up for the Champion business.
Likely  Effectiveness: Somewhat high. We don’t really know what El is capable of, but he appears dramatically at the end of Rhythm of War and the Pursuer seems scared of him. So presumably he is very powerful. I don’t know how emotionally resonant it would be for El to fight Dalinar, but I do wonder if that’s why he’s being introduced.
3. Nale
How Odium would pitch it: “Singers are the rightful rulers of this planet, and I am their leader. I am the highest law.” Nale and the Skybreakers have joined forces with the Singers, arguing--and they have a point--that it’s the Singers’ planet to begin with. Nale follows the law of whatever land he is in, and he kills criminals. If Odium presents himself as the Law and Dalinar as the Lawbreaker, then, well...
Likely Effectiveness: Pretty high. Nale is a Herald and has gone through all of the oaths. We haven’t seen him in many fights, but he has been fighting for a very, very long time. And he knows what Bondsmiths can do, so he’ll be ready for whatever Dalinar has learned.
4. Kelsier/Thaidakar or Restares
How Odium would pitch it: “Hey, do you want to finally get off of this fucking planet?” I’m putting these two together because I think the pitch would be the same. Kelsier and Restares are both bound to their planets, and they both DESPERATELY want off. Kelsier also needs a body. If Odium could make that happen for them, would they be willing to kill one dude to make it happen? Maybe. This feels to me like a very Taravangian-esque plot, too.
Likely effectiveness: Pretty high. Restares is a Harald, so the stuff I said about Nale applies to him as well. If Kelsier got a body back AND could use his powers, then he could almost certainly give Dalinar a run for his money. Plus, wouldn’t it be cool to see a stormlight vs. allomancy fight?
5. Ishar
How Odium would pitch it: “Ready to take your rightful place as the new Honor?” I ran out of ideas and stole this one from Kaladin22 from this forum. Kaladin22′s post is very detailed, whereas my post is jokey, so I’ll just point out that Ishar believes that he is a god-king and wants to rule the land. If Odium offered him that at the price of Dalinar’s life, how could Ishar refuse?
Likely effectiveness: Very high. Ishar is a bondsmith like Dalinar, but one who actually knows how to use his powers. A Bondsmith vs. Bondsmith fight sounds incredibly cool. Plus Kaladin is heading to Shinovar specifically to therapy Ishar better. If instead Ishar decides to go kill Dalinar, that would break Kaladin. And if there’s one thing Sanderson likes to do, it’s to make Kal suffer.
6. Baby Gavinor
How Odium would pitch it: “Do you want to get revenge for your father’s death? It was Dalinar’s fault, you know.” Once again, this idea is stolen--this time from PootisPoot on this Reddit thread. Gavinor is a serious and traumatized child who knows his dad was murdered. The idea is that Odium could pretty easily twist that--and that Taravangian-Odium totally would.
Likely effectiveness: Very high. Dalinar killing his brother’s son, after failing to protect Elhokar? When the price of losing is just Dalinar’s own soul? I think Dalinar would throw that fight.
7. Jasnah
How Odium would pitch it: We’re back to my ideas! Jasnah is logical and cares deeply about the greater good. If Odium could convince her that his winning is actually the key to protecting Roshar in the coming, all-Cosmere war, then perhaps Jasnah would listen.
Likely effectiveness: Very high. Not only is Jasnah extremely badass, but I’m not convinced that Dalinar would be willing to kill her, no matter what. Whereas if Jasnah had to kill Dalinar? I think she’d do it. And I think she’d do it well.
8. Zellion
How Odium would pitch it: I mean...we know very little about this character. I suppose it would be something like: “Hey, Zellion. You know that thing that you, Zellion, value above all other Zellion things? You, Zellion, shall have it!”
Likely effectiveness: Assured. So far as we know, Zellion has never failed at anything.
Opinions? Take the poll!
