Started Yumi and the Nightmare Painter and im glad Brandon has finally caved and made a loser protagonist. Painter is the representation losers have really been missing in the cosmere. Warning for spoilers, He’s the War God of Bai Zhan Peak basically the original sword gay in the world of SVSSS, whether or not you ship him with Shen Qingqiu, Luo Binghe or neither the point still stands that he’s a draw his sword first ask questions later kinda guy. Also SQQ basically canonically calls him a pretty boy, what more do you need
He's one of the best swordsmen in-universe! According to the author, he's not interested in a relationship so he's canonically aro and possibly ace as well!

I've reached the part of Rhythm of War where Kaladin invents group therapy but also refuses to go to group therapy
Kaladin: I think it would be helpful to get a group of people who have been through similar trauma together in a safe calm environment where they could talk to each other. They could support each other and won't feel judged because they've had similar experiences. I think this will work because I've been through some traumatic events and I would benefit from something like that

Currently losing my mind over the fact that despite all physical and genetic similarities Scadrian humans share absolutely zero common ancestors with any other humans in the Cosmere. If you take a random person from Elendel the odds of them being related to any given mistwraith are almost infinitely higher than the odds of them being related to any human on Sel, Nalthis, or Roshar, combined. Any Yolenese person shares more common ancestors with any random Yolenese puppy than with a superficially near-identical Scadrian human.
