I'm a fandom oldie and a strong proponent of "ship and let ship", and I defend everyone else's right to ship what they love... But I think that gives people the idea that I like, automatically love every single ship??? Or every single trope?
I don't though!
There are a lot of fandom tropes that are on my "absolutely fuck no" list. There are a lot of irk kinks that are also on my "nope absolutely not" list, too. Personally, this is healthy. I'm able to look at something and go "Yep, I hate it, but it's not harming anyone, so continue to do as you please."

If you could ask/bribe/convince people to read just one of your fics - not necessarily your best, not the one that you think summarizes your style, not even your favorite, but the one you want people to read the very most for whatever reason - which one would it be?
And if you feel comfortable, why that one?
I know it doesn’t necessarily have to be one of my favorites, but this one happens to be one of the ones I’m still most proud of. It’s about one of the people who was drawn into one of Taravangian’s fake hospitals where death rattles were being collected. It was inspired by the epigraph in chapter 63 of WoK.
I want people to read it because I’m very proud of how I brought things together in just over 4000 words. I incorporated as many aspects from canon as I could, and did my best to communicate the inevitability of the situation. It’s sad, it’s angsty, and there is no hope to be found. It’s an aspect of the story I wanted to see though, so I wrote it. I want people to realize how much can be possible with fanfic, I guess

I'm rereading Elantris and thinking about similarities between Sarene and Adolin:
Considered embarrassingly old to still be unmarried (mid-twenties); Adolin was forced to import a potential bride and Sarene was forced to export herself as a bride, both times to someone they hadn't laid eyes on yet.
OH ALSO both of their failures in courtship sound ludicrous. No man in Teod wants to marry the princess because she's tall and outspoken? Seriously? No woman in Alethkar can stand Adolin, cousin to the king? Really? As the Americans say, come on.

I had an idea for Cosmere merch.
It’s a sweater, a long-sleeved shirt, or a jacket emblazoned with the symbol of your choosing. Bridge Four, the metal charts, the Radiant Orders, Aons, the Double Eye of the Almighty, whatever.
But if you roll up one of the sleeves, the Ghostblood symbol is right there on the inside lining.
