Bowerbird by molly ofgeography is basically the anthem of this AU, guys. Should I make a playlist? I’m going to make a playlist.
Realized halfway through drawing this that I’ve been drawing Sean incorrectly but honestly? whatever. He can have scruffy hair as a treat. I’m not going to spend more time on the lighting or color corrections of this because I’m on vacation✨
in other news, I’m STILL GOING UTTERLY INSANE ABOUT THESE GUYS,,, and I wanted something soft,,, (I don’t know how old Sean and Kevin are, or if they’d share a room, or if they’d still ask someone to check for monsters, but please suspend whatever disbelief and/or expectations you might have, because I am here with fluff)
love to everyone following this comic!!! y’all are the best. <3
ACTÆON - comic and music video - Clair Le Couteur (Lunatraktors) & Greek Myth Comix
Comic:
Video:
youtube
The story of Actaeon, in piano and song.
The track comes from the 2017 album New Myths, by Clair Le Couteur (of https://www.youtube.com/@Lunatraktors)
I drew the comic for Clair when they shared the song with me in 2014 (which is why it’s a bit scratchy, and yes I put 2017 as the comix date at the end because that’s when the album came out and I got confused!) and always wanted to make it into a video. I finally got round to it! Even after all this time, it still gives me chills.
The album New Myths also has tracks telling the Ancient Greek stories of the Minotaur (Three Labyrinths), Aesacus and Hesperie (Cormorant Song), as well as modern and other fables, all with heartstopping beauty. Details are below.

I feel like a lot of people in the fandom tend to forget this, so I'm just here to give a kind, thoughtful reminder :]
Ambrosius Goldenloin in the movie is an East Asian man (Korean-coded), his skin is tan, his eyes are monolid and his nose is big
He's voiced by Eugene Lee Yang - a Korean-American actor who also has Chinese and Japanese heritage. Eugene Lee Yang looks like this:
During the production, when Ambrosius was decided to be East Asian, artists looked up queer East Asian-American men, and based Ambrosius off of them. Ambrosius is literally drawn to look like Eugene Lee Yang
